- 2:01somewhere in that crotch area, if you know what I mean.
- 2:03Anyways, ladies and gentlemen, before we get into in like
- 2:07Flynn, I just want to mention there are two new stories up.
- 2:11And by the way, Nathan, I love you.
- 2:14OK? We have wonderful stories.
- 2:17Why are you writing about the Westchester Golden Rams?
- 2:22I know you. You love women's soccer and you
- 2:25like going to the games. I love you Nathan.
- 2:30Go check out two new stories. I have one on Joelle and Bead 7
- 2:34feet of Excuses, the Joelle and Bead Legacy.
- 2:38It's a great article I wrote. And also today the latest 1,
- 2:42Matthew Schaefer, the new savior of the Islanders and the Ghost
- 2:48of Beanbag Tavares. So ladies and gentlemen, it is
- 2:53great articles. I've posted them, check them
- 2:56out. I've wrote them, I've put a lot
- 2:58of time into them, and I definitely want people to check
- 3:02out some of the stuff. You definitely have my humor on
- 3:05it, sweetie. Am I wrong or right?
- 3:07You definitely got my humor, so I promise you, it's definitely
- 3:09must read. And if you haven't read it,
- 3:13well, shame on you. We call this in like Flynn, my
- 3:18lady. I've often heard that you'd give
- 3:19me a warm welcome if ever we met again.
- 3:24And like Flan, Flan. All right, ladies and gentlemen,
- 3:30we do this every single week. And I want to say something.
- 3:34We had Tim Donaghy on the show, and I wanted to do something
- 3:38with basketball. Yes, ladies and gentlemen.
- 3:41So tonight I am going to grade the top 10 guards in the NBA.
- 3:51That's right. You heard it from me.
- 3:54I'm going to give you. So I, I was looking around and
- 3:58hoop hoop Shype is, is one of those big, big websites.
- 4:05I, I was looking and, and scoping out which which one I
- 4:09want to go through. I don't want to go through ESPN
- 4:10because I don't like ESPN and, and what ESPN posts up.
- 4:14So I'm going to go with this one.
- 4:16I I thought it was very interesting how they graded
- 4:19these guys. So at #10 they have Tyrese Maxey
- 4:26from Philadelphia and Tyrese Maxey is averaging well.
- 4:29Last year he was averaging 26.3 points per game, 6.1 assists per
- 4:34game, and yeah, three, about 3.3 rebounds a game.
- 4:39I would say about four ratio of that and 43.7 field goal
- 4:45percentage. He's averaging 37 million a
- 4:47year. I would have thought they would
- 4:50have graded him higher. I, I think that Joel Embiid has
- 4:53not been healthy and it's been on this kid to really take over
- 4:56and, and really be the leader of this team.
- 4:58He doesn't cry to the media. He goes out and he plays the
- 5:02damn game game. And I, I think he's definitely
- 5:05higher at than 10. So I'm going to go to number 9
- 5:10and I'm going to tell you why I would even put Maxi ahead of
- 5:13this guy, D Aaron Fox. And D Aaron Fox at #9 is
- 5:18interesting with San Antonio. And I would put D Aaron Fox at
- 5:20number #10 by the way, because I, I think that's where he sits.
- 5:25D Aaron Fox can't stay healthy with his talent.
- 5:28It's you. You can't, you can't argue the
- 5:31talent of this kid. He he could do everything. 26.3
- 5:34points per game, 3.3 rebounds per game, 6.1 assists per game.
- 5:39It's almost identical to Tyrese Maxi, but he plays with Web and
- 5:44Yama. And I just think that, you know,
- 5:47you're playing with one of the best young big men in the
- 5:49league. I, I think that, you know,
- 5:52obviously you have that kind of star in a team.
- 5:55I don't think Philadelphia has enough with Joel Embiid and not
- 5:58enough of him playing because he doesn't play back to backs.
- 6:02I would put the Aaron Fox over at 10.
- 6:07So that's where I would put the Aaron Fox at #10 I would move
- 6:10Maxi even down lower at #8JA Moretz.
- 6:17Now John Moran is one of the most accurate players in all of
- 6:21sports, especially in the NBA. His high flying dunks special,
- 6:25but his gun charges and and the stupidity off the court really
- 6:30hurts him on the court and, and, and, and it definitely hurts his
- 6:35play. You can see it.
- 6:36He's making 39 million a year, averaging 23.2 points per game,
- 6:404.1 rebounds per game, and his field goal percentage is 45.4.
- 6:47He is a great player. There's no question that he is,
- 6:50but I, I'm definitely going to make him dip and he is going to
- 6:53dip to #9 on my, my grade at #8. This is where I put Tyrese
- 7:01Maxie. Tyrese Maxie deserves a little
- 7:04bit more credit than that where they're putting them.
- 7:07And a lot of different, you know, leagues and, and different
- 7:10papers and, and articles have put him as a top ten point
- 7:14guard. So I would put him at 8 #7 James
- 7:21Harden. Now I wouldn't put James Harden
- 7:25in my top ten. OK, I know how talented he is.
- 7:29He is a prolific offensive player, averaging 22.8 points
- 7:34per game, 5.8 rebounds per game, 8.7 assists per game, and a 41
- 7:39point O field goal percentage. He did win an MVPI.
- 7:43Would not, I repeat, I would not put him in my top ten.
- 7:48I'm not a big fan of the one and only James Harden just because
- 7:54of his inconsistency and his double dribbling because he
- 7:59likes to hold the ball. We've said that the step backs
- 8:02are a little out there, so I would not put him in my top 10
- 8:06at #7 I am going to put the one and only Trey Young.
- 8:11They got him on at number six. I think he's a little bit
- 8:15higher. Trey Young, 24.2 points per
- 8:18game, 3.1 rebounds per game, 11.6 assists per game, 41.1
- 8:24field goal percentage. He's a great player.
- 8:27He's got an ability to shoot the three.
- 8:29He doesn't make anybody around him better in my eyes.
- 8:32I don't care if he's averaging 11.6 per game.
- 8:34They're at the end of the game at the Hawks.
- 8:37A horrible team. I, I just, I, I don't think he
- 8:40makes the team around him better.
- 8:42I, I think that he should be going somewhere else and it
- 8:46maybe has an opportunity to be a star somewhere else.
- 8:49I would put him at 7, at number six.
- 8:54And I know a lot of people are going to hate me on this, but
- 8:57I'm going to go, I'm going to go this route because I just think
- 9:00that he's a lot better there and I'm bringing it up right now.
- 9:04I am going to go, ladies and gentlemen, this year, not
- 9:08because of his back end of his career and everything like that.
- 9:11This year I'm going to go Lamella Ball.
- 9:15Lamella Ball, when playing this guy is as good as anybody in the
- 9:20league at his position. I think he can pass.
- 9:23He averaged 7.4 assists per game last year, 4.9 rebounds per
- 9:27game, 25.2 points per game. He's playing on a bad team.
- 9:3114.40 point, 5 field goal percentage.
- 9:34He's a great 3 point shooter. He's the best of the ball
- 9:36brothers. There's no question that he is.
- 9:39I do believe he is that good and I, I think he's going to be even
- 9:43better when they put a bunch of players around them.
- 9:46I, I don't get why they haven't yet, but it is the Charlotte
- 9:50Hornets and they are a terrible, terrible organization.
- 9:53So I would put him at number six at #5 I would agree with this.
- 10:02I will, I will agree with this. They got Steph Curry and Steph
- 10:07Curry who's still a sensational guard.
- 10:10There's no question that he is. He averages 2024.4 points per
- 10:1424.5 points per game last year, 4.4 rebounds per game, six point
- 10:19cyst a game, six point O cyst per game, 44.8 field goal
- 10:24percentage. He is a great overall play.
- 10:26He's making a lot of money, $59 million.
- 10:28He can shoot the three. He's the best 3 point shooter in
- 10:30the league still to this day. He makes everybody around him
- 10:33better, but he's falling and and one of the reasons why is there
- 10:39is a much younger players and much younger talent in the NBA
- 10:43right now. So I would agree, I would put
- 10:46Steph Curry in the top five, but at 5 #4 they have Cade
- 10:52Cunningham now. This guy to me should be much
- 10:55higher. I think this guy is as good as
- 10:57any point guard in the league. He's playing on the Detroit
- 11:00Pistons. OK, the Pistons now he can't
- 11:03stay healthy. Last year was the first year I I
- 11:05can, I can remember that he stayed healthy since he was
- 11:07drafted. 26.1 points per game, 6.1 rebounds per game, 9.1
- 11:13assists per game, 46.9 field goal percentage.
- 11:17This guy makes everybody around him better, so I think he's a
- 11:22little higher than this at #4 I would put they have him at #3
- 11:28but until he proves himself in the big game, I'm going to take
- 11:32him out of the top three. I'm putting my guy Jalen Bronson
- 11:38at #4. Jalen Bronson averages 26.0
- 11:42points per game, 2.9 rebounds per game, 7.3 assists per game,
- 11:47a field goal percentage of 48.8 which is one of the highest in
- 11:51the league. He's played great ball.
- 11:54He's made the Knicks a contender over the last couple of years
- 11:58and might jump to an MVP candidate this year.
- 12:01We have to see if he's more consistent in certain parts of
- 12:05the season. I would put him at four and at
- 12:10#3. I am going to put Luka Doncic.
- 12:14They have him at #2 Luka Dodgic is, I don't consider him a point
- 12:19guard. I would see, I would say he is a
- 12:21guard. You could put him at the 2, you
- 12:23could put him at the three. He can play multiple positions.
- 12:26A point guard, I don't know. 28.2 points per game, 8.2
- 12:30rebounds per game, 7.7 assists per game, a 45.0 field goal
- 12:36percentage. I think Luca is one of the best
- 12:38players in the league. I would put him in my top three
- 12:40in the league as a guard. No at #2 I would put Kate
- 12:45Cunningham. I think Kate Cunningham is that
- 12:48great of a player. He's special.
- 12:51I I might even jump him to #1 by the end of the season.
- 12:54He is so good, so special and when he plays at the top of his
- 12:58game, I don't think there's anybody better than him at the
- 13:02position. You saw what he did against the
- 13:03Knicks in round one. It wasn't because of him that
- 13:07they lost in that series. It was just no depth by the
- 13:10Detroit Pistons. He put the team on his
- 13:12shoulders. He played well.
- 13:14I'm not going to say Cade is not an elite player.
- 13:17He is absolutely elite at #2 and at #1.
- 13:21I would agree with them, There's no doubt about it.
- 13:24The MVP of the league, Shy Alexander.
- 13:29He wears these ugly outfits, as you guys put it.
- 13:33But he has style, baby. He has style and I love his
- 13:38family life. I love everything about him on
- 13:40and off the court. I love that he's a great
- 13:43teammate. I love his potential as an elite
- 13:46point guard in this league. There's nothing bad to say about
- 13:50this guy. 3.23.7 points per game last year. 5 point O rebounds
- 13:55per game. 6.4 assists per game. A 1.7 steals per game. 51.9
- 14:01field goal percentage, which is the best out of any guard in the
- 14:06league. He is as good as anybody and
- 14:09he's underpaid $38 million a year.
- 14:11When you look at the top guards of the league, he's taking less
- 14:15money and he's that special man. I think he's the best of the
- 14:20best and will be considered the Jordan like player if he
- 14:25continues on this trajectory. He is a great defender too.
- 14:29This guy can play two way basketball as good as anybody.
- 14:32I don't think there's a better two way basketball player at his
- 14:35position in the league. That's how good he is at the
- 14:39position. He can defend any but any guard
- 14:42in the league at a high level. Give me shy Alexander at #1 and
- 14:47why somebody skipped him in our league all the way to 4 to 4 to
- 14:50me makes no sense. But whoever did, thank you very
- 14:54much. I'm loving it.
- 14:56Shy Alexander #1 So that, ladies and gentlemen, is the top ten
- 15:03point guards in my view in the NBA.
- 15:07Bronson hasn't done it in the big game.
- 15:09And until he gets this team over the hump to the Finals, I I just
- 15:13don't know if he shows up in the games that he needs to show up
- 15:16in. I want to see him do that.
- 15:18If he does it this year. I know a lot of people, AKA
- 15:21Stephen A Smith thinks he's an MVP candidate.
- 15:24I don't know. I want to see the next pick up
- 15:27the pace. This is a new coach.
- 15:29Mike Brown is going to get them right, I believe, and in the
- 15:33right rotation on this roster. So, but yeah, I don't think he's
- 15:38in the top three and I would put Luca, even though I don't think
- 15:40Luca is in my top 2. He is in my top three.
- 15:44It's so hard to like, although some of them are pretty obvious,
- 15:48but like Luca is just tough if they're going to put him on the
- 15:50list. Like is he truly genuinely a
- 15:52point guard? Like it's just tough now with
- 15:56he's. Really, he's under guard.
- 15:58He's under 3, he's under 3, he's under 2.
- 16:01He could be. He could be multiple positions
- 16:03in fantasy. He does bring the ball up.
- 16:06He's not I I don't think I would consider him a guard.
- 16:10That's just my opinion. I would think he's the elite of
- 16:14the elite of threes in the NBAI think he's great.
- 16:18I just don't put him. I don't put him in my top two.
- 16:21I couldn't. Put him as a point guard either,
- 16:23no. Kate Cunningham is special.
- 16:25That kid is special. And if he could stay healthy, I
- 16:29think he could be even the best guard in the league.
- 16:32That's how good he is. I love watching a play.
- 16:34I really, really do. And you know, maybe I'm not
- 16:39going to say a future Nick because I love Jalen.
- 16:40I'm not going to say that. But he has ties in New York.
- 16:45There is stories he's. Only he's only 24.
- 16:47I know. And does he want to stay in
- 16:49Detroit? I mean, come on, who wants to
- 16:51stay in Detroit? Just a.
- 16:52New arena. Sweet.
- 16:53Yeah. But yeah, it's Detroit.
- 16:57Who? Likes that?
- 16:58Well, yeah, but that whole downtown air, they put over a
- 17:00billion dollars in it. I guess you're right.
- 17:02I know you were there and I know you will stick up for Detroit
- 17:05till the end. Well, no, no, I mean, it's crazy
- 17:07too that Dan Gilbert's from there and he, he put half of the
- 17:10money in. Yeah, and he doesn't put half
- 17:13the money into Ohio Cleveland. Yeah, great.
- 17:16And and he owns the casino in Detroit too.
- 17:19I. Figured that one out.
- 17:20He's still. Probably the best owner of the
- 17:21three Cleveland sports teams. Though Well, yeah, I mean, well,
- 17:24the new, yeah, the new Cleveland, one of the baseball
- 17:27isn't there. Somebody needs the other Dolan.
- 17:30Somebody needs to smack around. Somebody needs to smack Mr.
- 17:33Gilbert around. LeBron tried to This didn't
- 17:36work. And then he went back there and
- 17:38won him a championship. Makes me sick.
- 17:40Anyways, yeah, that was in like Flynn this week.
- 17:43I think it was a good one. I, I really do, and I did that
- 17:47for Tim Donaghy for joining us. I, I know he's a, a huge
- 17:52basketball guy. And that's for you, Timmy, we
- 17:55love you. That was a great interview, by
- 17:57the way. It really was.
- 17:58And I, I wanted to be polite and I was baby.
- 18:01What did you think of the? Interview I thought it was
- 18:02fantastic. I did and I I wanted to make
- 18:04sure that I had fun with it. And I know he's not a big fan of
- 18:07David Stern. I kind of threw the threw it out
- 18:10there like I put like, you know, a worm on the pole.
- 18:14And I said, oh, well, David Stern really changed the league
- 18:17for the better. And he gave me a look and then I
- 18:20was like, OK, all right, I'm sorry.
- 18:22I didn't mean to do that. But it was it was a great
- 18:25interview. All right, no goodies, bag a
- 18:27ball. So we got King of the Hill, and
- 18:31here's the king of the hill. This.
- 18:33Bobby is the beltline. You never ever hit below that
- 18:37not. That kind of king of the hill,
- 18:38you dumb ready. Are you ready?
- 18:41This is King of the Hill. Welcome back to King of the
- 18:45Hill, everyone's favorite trivia competition game.
- 18:50We're going to get a chance to take on the King, I believe, who
- 18:54is the Last King that made Arrow. 1.
- 18:57Arrow one. All right, so arrow back in the
- 18:59rightful seat as king tonight. First round it's everybody
- 19:03versus to get a chance to get to be finalists to take each other
- 19:08on in the joust in Round 2, where you get win a chance to
- 19:12take on king. Your competitors will get a
- 19:14chance to vote on if they want you to stay the king or to be
- 19:20changed to a new king for next time.
- 19:23Are you guys ready to play king of the hill?
- 19:26All right, nobody's ready to play, but.
- 19:29I'm ready to play. I'm trying to be polite here.
- 19:32I don't. I'm.
- 19:33Ready my string, my string you know when your string's on your
- 19:35another toe job Jack nothing was bugging me we're.
- 19:38Going to go for the first one and this is a general sports
- 19:41topic tonight. No specific sports.
- 19:44Who you think are the most famous athletes of all?
- 19:50Now I'm. Going to give you guys a go in
- 19:52on. The back as well I'm.

- 20:00throwing that curve because you will lose.
- 20:02Nathan, if you want to get in, you can get in on this.
- 20:05If you're not, you know, watching some.
- 20:06Sebastian could get on on it if he wants.
- 20:09He wants. He can come in, Sebastian.
- 20:10If you want to get in, you can get in.
- 20:13All right. So this is how it works.
- 20:16Nathan, you're going to play. No.
- 20:17I'm good. You don't want to play.
- 20:20All right. Bye, Nathan.
- 20:21Yeah, bye. He's he probably got no pants on
- 20:23right now. You just I was.
- 20:24Going to say, what exactly was he was that?
- 20:27Was quick, wasn't it? That was quick.
- 20:29Breaking news. A.
- 20:31Lot of hot ladies. Browsers open all right, lot of
- 20:35hot I. Got to go back off now, enjoy.
- 20:37That whatever, you know, if it's your girl Lisa that was on the
- 20:40screen or not, I don't know, but here it is.
- 20:43Most famous athletes of all time.
- 20:45You're going to pick any athlete and tell us why he's the most
- 20:49famous or one of the most famous all time.
- 20:52You got 3 total picks. Jabba, you're going to go first,
- 20:56followed by Jarrett, Speedy and Sebastian.
- 20:59You're going to go 2 times in a row because it'll snake back
- 21:02down the other way like a fantasy draft.
- 21:05Here we go, Jabba, start us off. All right.
- 21:08Well, I know I'm kind of nowhere.
- 21:11Errol probably is leading whatever, but I'm going to I'm
- 21:14going to kind of keep it old school with some new school, but
- 21:18I'm going to have to go Cassius Clay because that's what his
- 21:21Mama named him and then obviously became Muhammad Ali.
- 21:25I think just the way that he, you know, transcended a sport,
- 21:29but also a culture and how, you know, he did things in a
- 21:34different way that hadn't been seen before.
- 21:36As far as Moxie, as far as personality and, you know, took
- 21:40a sport that, you know, obviously was huge at the time.
- 21:43But kind of, you know, with the thrill and vanilla and all the
- 21:46other stuff that he did to make it at more global sport is just
- 21:51that famous category. Is is definitely him on the
- 21:55Mount Rushmore for sure. Jared.
- 21:59All right. Errol kind of scared me off a
- 22:01certain route, so I'm going to go kind of more American here.
- 22:04We're going to go with Michael Jordan.
- 22:07Michael Jordan is basketball around the world.
- 22:09I don't think there's a more famous basketball player you
- 22:11include LeBron, Curry, whoever, they're not more famous than
- 22:14Michael Jordan just based on his own name is created a billion
- 22:19dollar company just off his own name and issues.
- 22:21So it's Michael Jordan. Speedy all.
- 22:24Right. I'll go similar route to Java,
- 22:26take another boxer. I'll take Mike Tyson,
- 22:27heavyweight for his era too. It was probably video game named
- 22:31after him. And obviously before the whole
- 22:32ear biting incident you guys talked about a few weeks ago
- 22:35that he was thought of as like one of the just overall greatest
- 22:38guys in boxing and obviously won a ton of heavyweight
- 22:43championships. Sebastian for two.
- 22:48I'm going. To go Tom Brady, I mean, he's
- 22:50the greatest football player to ever grace the football field.
- 22:53Seven rings. I mean, that's that's a no
- 22:55brainer in my opinion. Any football fan, you ask him
- 22:57who's to go, they're going to say Tom Brady.
- 22:59So I want to go Tom Brady and then I pick again.
- 23:03I'm going to follow on what Jared on the route Jared is with
- 23:06basketball. I'm just I'm say LeBron.
- 23:08I mean he's after Jordan, I guess name wise, Lebrons next.
- 23:12Everybody talks about LeBron every day.
- 23:14He's the all time NBA league scorer.
- 23:18So that's going to be my big Brady LeBron.
- 23:21Speedy. All right.
- 23:22I'll do the first Baseball 1. We'll go Babe Ruth, the Great
- 23:24Bambino, obviously still popular references even after he played,
- 23:27even after he passed away with The Sandlot and so many other
- 23:30things. And obviously we need the.
- 23:31Bosses of clout, yes. And even a little butt.
- 23:35Plug. I don't know it's.
- 23:36Directly named after, but I can't even named after him With
- 23:38the Baby Ruth bar and baseball cards galore.
- 23:40There's branding that still goes on for almost 100 years now with
- 23:44that man. I want her melons.
- 23:47Jared, I'm. Going to take the chance and go
- 23:51the athlete that has the most followers, I believe on social
- 23:53media, if anybody, and that's Cristiano Ronaldo.
- 23:58Soccer is the biggest sport in the world.
- 24:00He just, and Cristiano Ronaldo is the biggest name in soccer,
- 24:03has been for the last 20 years. I think he has over a billion
- 24:07social media followers on each platform.
- 24:10It's just ridiculous how famous that is.
- 24:14Very good point, Jabba for two. I'm going to go on a different a
- 24:20different route too. I'm going to go Tiger Woods for
- 24:25how obviously global golf has been.
- 24:27Obviously it wasn't invented in the United States, but when he
- 24:31came about how it how it moved the needle to not only, you
- 24:38know, to young kids made it cool.
- 24:41I mean, he was the first guy you talk about Jordan and a logo
- 24:46that TW still lives and to do what he's done and to have the
- 24:51controversy and still be loved in the way that he is in the
- 24:56game of golf and around. I think it's it's just it has to
- 25:01be him and and what he's done for the game of golf.
- 25:05And my second one, I'm going to go the dude in the water and
- 25:11Michael Phelps because in a a sport that I didn't care at all
- 25:18for. I mean, obviously I love going
- 25:20to pool in the summer, but you would turn the TV on to watch
- 25:23this dude and he made it cool to smoke weed and swim.
- 25:29And for anybody that can make swimming pool smoking weed,
- 25:32that's that's pretty damn good in my book.
- 25:36Jared. Titties.
- 25:39All. Right.
- 25:40Pro wrestling's not a sport. The pro wrestlers are athletes,
- 25:44and this guy played football in college.
- 25:45So I'm going to go with The Rock.
- 25:47The Rock is one of the most famous actors in the world, Is
- 25:50and was an athlete. I mean, you're.
- 25:52Going to say like, I think he's the most highest paid actor in
- 25:54Hollywood right now. No, that's like, that's two good
- 25:59ones. Jared Dodger.
- 26:02Very creative, speedy I'll take. The other big name soccer player
- 26:05and so this generation that's Lionel Messi now obviously going
- 26:08to MLS areas now in Miami and he's very popular over there
- 26:12like this is MLS is like where all the washed up soccer players
- 26:16allegedly go and I. Need a blow pop?
- 26:18Messy's kind. Of create a whole like soccer
- 26:20culture there in a state in Miami that's a football state
- 26:23with college football in the NFL and a little bit the NBA.
- 26:26But those fans also left the game during Game 6.
- 26:28Blowjobs. Just that.
- 26:29But I'll go messy. All right.
- 26:32And last pick of the round, Sebastian.
- 26:34Speedy took my pick, so I'm going to go with my backup pick.
- 26:38I'm going to stick to basketball.
- 26:40I'm going to say Steph Curry's the greatest shooter of all
- 26:42time. You know, kids nowadays all
- 26:45they're obsessed with shooting 3 ball from all the way down
- 26:47court. You hear Kobe when they shoot,
- 26:50but don't they're they're starting to play like Curry now.
- 26:52So I'm going to go Steph Curry's last week.
- 26:55All right, Errol, who's moving on to the joust?
- 26:59I'm going to go different tonight.
- 27:01I'm going to go Jabba and Jared. All right, we've got the two
- 27:09moving on I. Like the Babe Ruth, Speedy.
- 27:11I like the Babe Ruth. I like your takes.
- 27:14I I just, I'm going to go another route.
- 27:17I want to see what these guys got.
- 27:19All right guys, pop back off camera until the last round when
- 27:22we vote on the new king. Here we go Round 2 the joust
- 27:28best announcers in all of sports history.
- 27:33This could be any type of announcer from from people that
- 27:37do the PA in the stadium to play by play guys to color guys to
- 27:43anyone that's on the radio or television all time.
- 27:48All right, best announcers in sports history, Errol, who's
- 27:51going first? Let's go, Jared.
- 27:55All right. OK, I'm going to go then.
- 28:01Scully first. I think you talk about just
- 28:05iconic baseball announcers. That's one of the first name
- 28:08that's going to come to mind. So many legendary calls with
- 28:11him. The Gibson home runs the first
- 28:16like call I think of and I'm thinking of like a great
- 28:18announcing call. So let's go with Vince Scully.
- 28:22Jabba. I'm going to stay the baseball
- 28:24ride, baseball route. I'm going to go Mel Allen this
- 28:29week in baseball is is just that the theme song and that voice
- 28:33and and Mel Island obviously starting with the Yankees as a
- 28:35play by play and just how that that show you got, you know,
- 28:40just the IT was the prerequisite to to what everything is and and
- 28:44the recap shows. And you know, his voice is is
- 28:47something that I'll never forget and was lucky enough to to have
- 28:52that. And I was going to go with Vince
- 28:53Scully because I was fortunate enough to have my name come out
- 28:56of his mouth with the Super, super dope.
- 28:59Droba smack my. Ass.
- 29:02He pronounced it right, though. Droba, Droba.
- 29:06I'm going to go with Mike Breen. I think especially the last 20
- 29:12years, the best basketball announcer going play by play.
- 29:15Just awesome. Completely one of my.
- 29:18Mentors. Yeah, he's he's the he's the man
- 29:23just incredible, incredible play by play, work the bangs, every
- 29:28single call. And I think just his knowledge
- 29:30of the game, even if he's not calling, even he's calling a
- 29:33Knicks game on national TV to be completely unbiased in every
- 29:36game, even when he's calling just a Knicks broadcast, like
- 29:39I'll turn every like I watched the Knicks on league pass
- 29:41constantly just because I'm like I'm going to get I'm going to
- 29:43get Breenan Fraser. That's the best announced team
- 29:45in the business right now. All right, Jabba, I'm going to
- 29:51go Jack Buck. I absolutely just just love Jack
- 29:57Buck and and just the what he did and obviously kind of a
- 30:01Homer just because I got to listen to him a little bit more
- 30:04being in, you know, the Midwest and and growing up with that and
- 30:08it just synonymous with how many, you know, World Series,
- 30:11obviously. And he served in our military
- 30:13too. He was an army, got a Purple
- 30:14Heart and just the way he, you know, started in radio and then
- 30:20I think in the early 50s, my dad would always talk about how that
- 30:23was one of the first forces that he ever remembers being in the
- 30:26Children's Hospital. So it was always somebody that I
- 30:28kind of migrated towards, which was was super cool.
- 30:32And and to do it for as long as he did was was awesome.
- 30:35All right. Last ones, Jared.
- 30:38Well, Sebastian just mentioned in the comments it's going to be
- 30:40Kevin Harlan, just truly an amazing voice on commentary,
- 30:45first of all, and just a way with words that he has to call
- 30:49everything. Super entertaining announcer,
- 30:52great calls anytime there's a big big moment in any game in
- 30:55any sport to calls. Football, baseball, basketball,
- 30:58everything all. Right, and finish it off.
- 31:02Jabba, we actually referenced one of his sayings.
- 31:05I think Chris Berman in the way that he, you know, kind of I, I
- 31:10love obviously the way he on Sports Center and I've actually
- 31:16the way that I got introduced to him was in a steakhouse in
- 31:19Baltimore. We were both peeing and we kind
- 31:21of looked at each other and I was like, hey, he's like, hey, I
- 31:23go, this is weird. So that was my Chris Berman
- 31:26story, but just how he made it cool, how he had just kind of
- 31:30that personality and and how he's done it for so long and you
- 31:34know, continues to stay around. It does.
- 31:36I mean there's so many that you that have catch phrases and all
- 31:39that, but I think it was Sports Center coming up and how long
- 31:42he's done it. He just, he's one of the best I.
- 31:44Met I met Chris Berman at a buffet line.
- 31:49That's dope. I'm that's How I Met John
- 31:51Sterling actually exact same way at a buffet line because I
- 31:55coached his his son. He was my like third string JV
- 31:58quarterback one year I. Was watching I was I he was
- 32:01putting a lobster on his plates and, and I look back and, and
- 32:06I'm like, is that Chris Berman? And I'm like, how's the lobster,
- 32:10Chris? He says.
- 32:11I'm getting my seconds right now.
- 32:15He went back, back, back, back online.
- 32:17Oh, he went back, back, back on something, man, because he, he
- 32:20was buttering that motherfucker. Excuse my.
- 32:22Language. How did we not bring up Howard
- 32:25Cosell in this one? Yes, I thought.
- 32:27That was going to be too easy to have.
- 32:28Like I was like, I brought up Muhammad Ali and that was
- 32:31another one. And then obviously.
- 32:34How about How about Marv Albert? Marv Albert?
- 32:38How about Nance? Nance is pretty good.
- 32:40I. Was going to say Nance out
- 32:41Michaels. Like if we were going to do duos
- 32:44like Madden, him and Madden, I would have been like.
- 32:49Duos is a good one. I'll remember that for next
- 32:52time. All right, Errol, who's going on
- 32:54to face you in SO? Close.
- 32:59Pick Jared. He's the intern all.
- 33:01Right, Jared, let's go. Let's.
- 33:03Go, Jared, why don't you pop in and pop out, see if we get that
- 33:06camera working real quick as we set up.
- 33:08Everyone else come back in for the last round where we're going
- 33:11to vote on who's going to be. Errol, I was going to, I was
- 33:15going to try and Homer you too, and maybe throw in a Bob
- 33:18Shepard. Yeah, I probably if you was.
- 33:20Actually, if you. Pick Bob Shepard.
- 33:22I can't. I can't lie.
- 33:23I'm taking you so I know. It was like and that that I will
- 33:27say that's one of the coolest things ever.
- 33:29Like with playing like toward like the beginning of my career
- 33:32was towards the end of all these like great, like Vince Scully
- 33:35announced my name, Bob Shepard, Charlie Steiner.
- 33:38Like it was really cool. Like going back as a kid that
- 33:41like listen to all these guys and then actually have a chance
- 33:45like or like on Sports Center, like have these dudes talk about
- 33:50like a highlight or something. It's like I I thought it was
- 33:53stupid back then, but now the more like the older I get is
- 33:57like, wow, that's really cool that they taught like I have no
- 34:00idea who the hell I probably was.
- 34:01But like to have them like mention your name like in a
- 34:04highlight is super, super cool. All right, here it is.
- 34:07Round three take on the king. Best moments come on Jared, in
- 34:13sports history. When I say moments, you can't
- 34:16tell me the score of a game or anything like that.
- 34:19Just something that happened in a game, maybe not even in a
- 34:23game. Some kind of moment that's
- 34:26indelible throughout the history of modern sports.
- 34:32I think this is a fun topic. Very open-ended, boys.
- 34:37Let's get it going. Errol as the king.
- 34:39Do you want to go first or second?
- 34:41I want. To go first.
- 34:43All right, go ahead, Errol. How could you forget this one
- 34:47Miracle on Ice? Who doesn't forget that one when
- 34:52they beat Russia or the Soviet Union, The unstoppable Soviet
- 34:58Union and the goal heard around the world, it was and and then
- 35:03just the last two minutes of the game, how they kept the Soviet
- 35:06Union from scoring that goal to tie the game.
- 35:09It was amazing. It's one of those things that
- 35:11you'll always remember. I'm going Miracle on Ice.
- 35:14I'm going to go with the Gibson home run in the World Series.
- 35:16Walking up to the play as a pinch hitter with two bad knees.
- 35:19The only chance that they had was him hitting a home run.
- 35:22He could not run the bases. Maybe the most clutch moment in
- 35:27all sports history. So Kirk Gibson pinch hit home
- 35:29run in the World Series. Errol.
- 35:33I'm going to go with Jackie Robertson breaking the color
- 35:37barrier. I mean, Jackie Robertson was the
- 35:42one of the more, one of the more influential guys that really
- 35:45stood out in baseball history and really changed the barrier
- 35:50and opened up the floodgates. And, and a guy that stood for
- 35:53everything good guy and, and his wife still pushes everything
- 35:57that he stood for in in baseball and, and what he's done on and
- 36:02off the field. So I'm going Jackie Robertson
- 36:04breaking the color barrier. I'm going to go with the 28th of
- 36:07three comeback in the Super Bowl.
- 36:10Maybe it's because I'm a Falcons hater through and through, but
- 36:14truly just a remarkable moment. The greatest of all time.
- 36:18Just take a game away, all. Right, Let's go for our last
- 36:21picks. Errol come.
- 36:24On everybody knows this story shot heard around the world yes
- 36:29ladies and gentlemen we all know Bobby Thompson.
- 36:33I watched a Harry. What was that?
- 36:37I forget what movie was it with with Bette Midler and Billy
- 36:41Crystal, Billy Crystal and the kid who couldn't remember
- 36:45anything and and he his Billy Crystal, it was his grandfather.
- 36:50And he was like sinking it in his head and he went up there on
- 36:53on the stage at the end of the movie and was mimicking
- 36:56everything that happened during during that game and and the
- 37:00home run. So I'm going to go shot around
- 37:05the world. Let's go.
- 37:06With the shot Christian Leitner in the final four throwing the
- 37:10ball Grant Hill, I believe was it Grant Hill throwing the ball
- 37:14length the court, catching the free throw line turn shoot to
- 37:17win a game in the final four. One of the greatest plays in
- 37:20Mark Madness history of the tournament that has so many
- 37:22great plays and great moments to it and that's still the one that
- 37:25stands the test of time is like that's the one day show every
- 37:27single. Time Christian Leina what a guy
- 37:30that should have been an NBA player and and just absolutely.
- 37:34Shooters on the Dream. Team boy and he shouldn't have
- 37:37made that dream game. He.
- 37:39Had a great 97 with the Hawks. Yeah, right.
- 37:42What do you want me to throw up? I'm a Duke fan.
- 37:45I don't want to throw up. So.
- 37:47So did you did you want to vote? I hate Christian Leitner, doc.
- 37:50It's. Not that I hate Christian
- 37:52Leitner. I don't think people give Bobby
- 37:55Hurley a lot of credit, Grant Hill a lot of credit to Coach K
- 37:58with those teams. Leitner was great and Leitner
- 38:01had the personality to fit the person that he was.
- 38:05And, and I don't, I don't hate Christian Leitner.
- 38:07I just think that he should have been a much better NBA player.
- 38:10He choked and and there was a lot of pressure on him and he
- 38:14couldn't handle the pressure when he came into the NBA.
- 38:16So it's just my opinion. Well.
- 38:18Either way, I'm going with the voting here.
- 38:22So I just I'm scoring this 2 to one in favor of Errol.
- 38:27I liked the Miracle on Ice and Jackie Robinson better than the
- 38:31Kirk Gibson Homer and the Pats come back, but I like the
- 38:34Latener 1 better than the shot heard around the world.
- 38:37I wasn't alive for that one. I've read snippets, but the
- 38:41latener one I see forever and ever and ever.
- 38:45I agree. So I'm going 2 to one victory
- 38:47though for Errol. Let's go down the line.
- 38:50Let's go to Jabba. Yeah, I'm going to go same one.
- 38:54Jackie Robinson probably put it over the edge just, I mean, just
- 38:58a moment in baseball history that is is forever synonymous
- 39:03with one of the greatest ever. I do love the Leitner 1 though,
- 39:07too. But yeah, Jackie was just a
- 39:10little bit big. I it's literally, I teach the
- 39:13Miracle and Ice and Jackie Robinson bringing the color
- 39:16barrier in U.S. history class. So that's how important those
- 39:20two things are. I would say it's going to be
- 39:23hard to beat stuff like that. Speedy, how you going?
- 39:26Yeah, I'm. Definitely going out with this
- 39:27one. Miracle on Ice was my number one
- 39:29shot heard Around the world was kind of that first like big walk
- 39:31off you saw in World Series history and it won them.
- 39:34It won them that so and Willie Mays was on deck and it was a
- 39:37rookie. It's like funny to think that,
- 39:39but Bobby Thompson was the one that did it.
- 39:40I do like the Leitner one too. That might have been my third
- 39:42one if I was going for that too. But Jackie Robinson, like
- 39:45obviously the historical value, he would have to go with that as
- 39:47well. And Sebastian the rounded out
- 39:52explain your vote. I mean, I guess in a in a free
- 39:54country you would not have to explain the vote, but this is
- 39:57some kind of wack ass dictatorship what we're doing
- 40:00here. Well, I think since Arrow
- 40:03already has three votes and I got to stick with my boy Jared
- 40:07because he is an intern just like me, us interns have to
- 40:10stick together. I did like Tom Brady Pool.
- 40:15I was surprised I wasn't one of the first ones said in the first
- 40:18round. So I'm going to.
- 40:19Sebastian, it would have been a clean sweep.
- 40:21What are you doing to me? I know, I know.
- 40:23I hate to be the ones to. Ruin it, but I also hate to be
- 40:25the guy that had the chance to open their.
- 40:27Apple All right. Well, you, Errol, you are the
- 40:32king. The king stays the king.
- 40:35You know, everyone tried to take you down a peg.
- 40:38It wasn't going to happen it. Was, it's interesting and I, I,
- 40:42I think Jared is one of the more knowledgeable guys that we've
- 40:46had as far as interns are concerned.
- 40:48His takes, even the rock, you brought the rock up.
- 40:51I that was that was definitely out of the back pocket.
- 40:54Yeah, that. Was out of the pocket.
- 40:55I I didn't expect that. And and you're not wrong.
- 40:59I mean, as far as stars and the transition and what he's done in
- 41:04the industry, you're absolutely right.
- 41:06So that's why I gave you the, I would have probably picked you,
- 41:11I would have picked you any way, shape or form when it came to
- 41:14that anyway. So that's just my opinion.
- 41:17So congratulations. I thought that was your first
- 41:20final and very credible. I do think I swept you, but
- 41:23that's just me. I don't know what Sebastian's
- 41:25doing over there. Oh.
- 41:26I think you did too. I.
- 41:28Was looking at Michael Phelps. That was something that really
- 41:31stood out Tiger Woods doing. I got 1 where you got the ball,
- 41:36get stuck to the helmet. There was this crazy play Once
- 41:39Upon a time. Yeah.
- 41:40You heard about it, Errol? Yeah, I heard about it.
- 41:43I almost just pander to y'all pick that, yeah.
- 41:47If you probably would have, fish would have picked you.
- 41:49If you did that, you would, but I went with that.
- 41:53Yeah, Fish has only been the king.
- 41:55Not about. It's not like I've only been the
- 41:57king once. I've been a proxy king once.
- 42:00For goodie. But you know, Jared, you know,
- 42:04you just got a Curry favor to the voters.
- 42:06That's what it's about. You've got to be a politician.
- 42:09I don't Curry any favoritism to anybody.
- 42:12I just tell you. Curry, I get it.
- 42:15You know, I know you don't like any of that guy.
- 42:17Sebastian, you'll learn very quickly.
- 42:19I don't hate. Why do you guys say this?
- 42:22I don't hate him. I think he's a great play when
- 42:26he is a great point guard. Guard get a Curry jersey and
- 42:29wear it. I'm not doing it.
- 42:30I do have a Curry jersey and I have worn it on the show.
- 42:33I have they made a mistake. So I ordered a Curry.
- 42:36I ordered a regular Warriors and and they gave me a Curry jersey.
- 42:41So I wore the Curry jersey when it was it should have been my
- 42:45number and my name. And then I yelled at the company
- 42:47and they were like, well, that's what we sent you, you little
- 42:50bastards. I'm never ordering nothing from
- 42:52you again. So that's the truth.
- 42:54I'm just telling the truth here, ladies and gentlemen.
- 42:57Anyways, we call this and you can join us too, Sebastian, we
- 43:01call this. What's that smell?
- 43:04Hold up, what is that smell? What's that?
- 43:13Smell. Wow, you don't see that every
- 43:14day. Noble fisting.
- 43:18I love that one. That's definitely something if
- 43:21nobody knows what it is, I don't think Nathan knows what it is,
- 43:23but it's still good I having him say these things and he's got
- 43:27how many does. He know that.
- 43:29He's saying he says he knows them.
- 43:31I don't believe it because I've asked him what double fisting is
- 43:34and he says you know what it is. I said no, you tell me what is
- 43:37it? How old is Nathan?
- 43:41He, Nathan, is 2930303030. He's 30 years old, I think.
- 43:46Yeah, he turned 30. Yep, 30 years old, Speedy's age.
- 43:51They're Sebastian. Right.
- 43:54You've never been prepared for this, so we're not going to ask
- 43:56you to go right away or anything.
- 43:58He. Could, if you want, join in.
- 43:59You can. How's he going to do it?
- 44:01He's not even know what it is. He can.
- 44:02Pick a story. Listen, all you got to do is
- 44:04pick any story. In sports, it's so easy.
- 44:08It is easy. Pick.
- 44:09I don't even know what I'm going, where I'm going.
- 44:11Yeah, but that's you. Sebastian, I think you're a
- 44:15winner and winners know how to do this.
- 44:18So show us and show Coach Fish that you are a winner.
- 44:24Sebastian don't worry about him. Let him spit out whatever he
- 44:27says there's. Never.
- 44:29There's never been a great winner that's not prepared.
- 44:31Look at all the great athletes. They all prepared.
- 44:34Thank you, not me, not me. What's the order, Errol?
- 44:38All right, I'm going to Sebastian.
- 44:39You could join if you want. It's it's OK.
- 44:41I'm going to go Speedy. I'm going to go Mr. Jarrett,
- 44:46Fish, Sebastian, if you want to do it job of me, yeah.
- 44:51I mean, I don't know what we're. Doing, but I'll do it.
- 44:53Just pick a story. Pick a story of like something
- 44:56you want to take a shot at a team, a player or anything like
- 44:59that and it. Can be good or bad, go to a bad.
- 45:01So for example, I'm going to go with using.
- 45:03My new interns. The saga of Bill Belichick's
- 45:08college season still not going very well and there's many
- 45:11different layers to it too. But the most recent one is David
- 45:14Hale was the ESPN insider that said multiple anonymous
- 45:18offensive coordinator saying that Bill Belichick does not
- 45:21understand the RPO and motion offenses in college football.
- 45:24You see today, even these group of five schools that have these
- 45:28lesser known coaches, these obviously the lesser known teams
- 45:31are calling Belichick out on it. Meanwhile, you also have a
- 45:34documentary by Hulu that already got cancelled and it's going to
- 45:36be pushed to the end of the season.
- 45:38Well, like, you want to see Bill Belichick's track record of how
- 45:41awful this season has been. And to make matters worse, UNC
- 45:45alum and new Patriots quarterback Drake May was banned
- 45:48from anything involving the documentary just to play some
- 45:51petty wars at that. So what does it smell like?
- 45:54It smells like Robert Kraft in his spa, in his spa, smoking
- 45:58some of that pink cocaine that Stefan Diggs is smoking and then
- 46:02making out with Jordan Hudson's mother.
- 46:04Droba droba ass licker. Hi, Sebastian.
- 46:09We're just going to let you know that Speedy like his, what's it
- 46:13smell like always goes like to a different atmosphere.
- 46:16So don't try to live up to that because you'll notice that ours
- 46:19what it smells like way, not that.
- 46:22Jabba likes my shrimp cocktail. Mine's short.
- 46:25Mine's actually a good one this he.
- 46:26Likes some short, very short dog tall.
- 46:38I was, I was going to. I was going to well.
- 46:40You're you're you're second of last, so. 510 1/2 Joke but.
- 46:44Yeah, figures you would go that route.
- 46:46Suck my indo. As I always say.
- 46:50Athletes. Joba is not an athlete.
- 46:54I'm not going to talk about Jock because I fear that's not good
- 46:56for my health right now. Instead, there's this kind of
- 47:00brought to my attention by the basketball coach at the school I
- 47:02work at. There are a lot of professional
- 47:06athletes, guys with professional experience overseas or even in
- 47:10the States that are currently playing college basketball.
- 47:13Shortlist here. I got Elias Cameron Dean, who
- 47:15played professionally in France on the top level of French
- 47:18basketball last year as a rotational guy.
- 47:20He's at Ole Miss right now. Neoclis of Dallas played at the
- 47:25top Greek when the top Greek clubs last year.
- 47:27He's played in the Euro League itself for last four years.
- 47:32He's only 19, but he's been a professional for four years.
- 47:34He's playing at Virginia Tech. And this worst one is this guy
- 47:38Lyndon Johnson, who committed to Louisville recently.
- 47:43He played four years in the G League.
- 47:45He was praying professional, technically NBA level basketball
- 47:48and is somehow playing college basketball now because he's
- 47:51technically only 21 years old. So he still counts and he hasn't
- 47:54played NBA. What's it smell like?
- 47:57Because so many of these guys come from France, it smells like
- 47:59the French Stinky Cookie Cheese epoise, which is currently
- 48:03banned on public transport because it smells so bad.
- 48:06Really. Yeah, that you sounded French
- 48:08when you said that. Oh, you, you sounded fringe.
- 48:13You sounded fringe. That's the, that is definitely
- 48:17the Nebraska Enya fringe. Fringe.
- 48:20Yeah, I had to add that. Borrow plays with himself.
- 48:24It's too bad goodies not here. This one was really for him and
- 48:27his Orlando Magic drove. Mercedes.
- 48:30Guard Desmond Bain was ejected in the third quarter.
- 48:35Can't wait. The Hawks flagrant foul on a
- 48:39congu, he has to go up against the center.
- 48:42He pulls him down by the arm and as he's going down, the ball
- 48:45pops up. He takes the other hand and
- 48:47palms the ball and spikes the ball on a congu.
- 48:50As he's going to the going down to the floor, he gets ejected.
- 48:55He loses his mind. He did.
- 48:57And this is his approach afterwards.
- 48:59Hard foul. I mean, we talked about that.
- 49:02No easy baskets, nothing at the rim.
- 49:05Make them see lights on the ceiling and hard foul.
- 49:09I swiped at the ball and it happened to hit him and they
- 49:12made the call. They made this.
- 49:16I love this guy. I I would be so happy if Desmond
- 49:20Bane was on my team. It reminds me of the Bane from
- 49:24the Batman movie The Dark Knight Rises who thought darkness was
- 49:31his ally. God.
- 49:36Well, my favorite Grizzlies ever.
- 49:38What? Does it smell like, well, in
- 49:41that darkness, it smells like the crap you get when you're
- 49:45walking home in the dark with your dog and you stepped in
- 49:47something and you get that whiff as soon as you step, first whiff
- 49:51when you step in the house and you know what you have to do and
- 49:54spend the next 1520 minutes cleaning.
- 49:56That's what it smells like. Finkle is Iron Horn all right,
- 50:00Sebastian, you want to go for it.
- 50:02You want to. You want to knock it out of the
- 50:04park. You don't have to if you don't
- 50:05want to. I mean, I'll try my best.
- 50:07I mean, I would have liked to have a little bit of back.
- 50:09You could. Try.
- 50:10Try it man all. Good.
- 50:11But I'm a wing. I'm a wing here.
- 50:12Let's go. So I'm going to go.
- 50:15I'll talk about someone that we mentioned earlier today, Mr.
- 50:18LeBron James. He's obviously he's been out
- 50:20this season with the injury on his own.
- 50:23The Lakers are six and two right now.
- 50:25Actually, they're playing the Spurs currently as we are live
- 50:27right now. They are 6 and two without them.
- 50:29There's rumors that they're starting to move without his
- 50:33knowledge because that was we all know LeBron likes to meddle
- 50:35in the front office, He likes to meddle with the roster, he likes
- 50:38LJ. They confuse his team.
- 50:39So now the Lakers see that they can be Ballers without LeBron.
- 50:46Can LeBron stay with the Lakers throughout the season?
- 50:49Will he asked for a trade? That that's that's my story that
- 50:53I've been following. What does that smell like, man?
- 50:58It smells like Lebron's time is up, man.
- 51:00It smells like his time is up. That's good you you went with
- 51:04the right angle. Yeah, that's good.
- 51:06That was really good. That's.
- 51:08Not bad. I thought you were going to say
- 51:09like, you know, like the garbage with all the wasted food at
- 51:14bronies Sweet Sixteens you. Know something?
- 51:18Or other but you know. The best one in this game Bronny
- 51:23tried to guard women Yama and he literally like women yama body
- 51:26brownie up. I got to go find.
- 51:29That that's saying a lot. All right, I think you're up
- 51:33Java. Mine's a good one and I I think,
- 51:36you know, obviously we, we usually go on the smelly side
- 51:40and then the really integral deep dotted smelly side was
- 51:44speedy, But I thought something was really cool.
- 51:47It's never been done in sports where a father and a son called
- 51:51a World Series for the first time ever and Dan Schulman and
- 51:54Ben Schulman and radio and TV and they got to do it together
- 51:58for the first time ever. It father and son.
- 52:01You can you can say that that's never been done and something
- 52:04that you know your kid gets into profession that you always do
- 52:06and then you end up getting to do a World Series with him.
- 52:10So what's that smell that smells like hard work, dedication and
- 52:13being as a father myself, a damn proud dad, to be able to work
- 52:17alongside your son and and call something they didn't go their
- 52:21way, but had to be a proud moment as a father that to watch
- 52:25that and see it and get a call, a game on the booth next to him
- 52:29for for where you're from and, and to see it all in front and
- 52:34through your son's eyes and your own eyes, which is pretty cool.
- 52:37I. Got to go back off now all.
- 52:39Right. And now my what's that smell?
- 52:43It has to go to a game, a surprise game on Sunday and,
- 52:49well, a fine. It wasn't a suspension.
- 52:50It was a fine. Carolina Panthers running back
- 52:53Rico Dowdle was fined by the NFL for his actions during a
- 52:58touchdown celebration in in Sunday's 16 to 13 upset of the
- 53:03Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field.
- 53:04Dowdell announced the fine via social media on Wednesday night.
- 53:08He also posted he has partnered with GoFundMe to use his fine
- 53:15money for charity and his agent came out and said the fine was
- 53:2114,400 91 dollars. See, that's the stupidest thing
- 53:28ever. Where did this number come from?
- 53:31I don't know, I guess I got to go.
- 53:33I we got to reach out to his agent, David Cantor.
- 53:36Maybe he'll tell us. I have no idea.
- 53:38But I it from one bad thing turns into good and I I love
- 53:44what dado, you know, the fact that he is taking the bad and
- 53:48putting it into good for a GoFundMe, you know, for for
- 53:52people in charity. I think that's that's a great
- 53:54story. So you know what it smells like?
- 53:57It smells like Speedy's moth ball sweater getting sprayed
- 54:02down with some Axe spray and giving it a better scent because
- 54:07man, oh man, it has a horrible grandmother smell to it.
- 54:10So that's what it smells like. So you like that, Speedy, You
- 54:15want me to get you some Axe spray?
- 54:16No, I mean, I'm going to get you a you can get him.
- 54:19Something better than Axe? Come on.
- 54:21Right. I'll give him Cologne, but he's
- 54:22never going to wear it. I have Cologne.
- 54:26Well, spray it down, man. Smells like mothballs.
- 54:33You do look good in that white shirt.
- 54:35I can't lie to you. I mean, that is mine.
- 54:37You can't steal that. I.
- 54:38Wasn't planning on it. You could have it.
- 54:40You could have it. That's.
- 54:41The extra medium. No, actually, it's an extra
- 54:43large, SO I wear extra large T-shirts.
- 54:48So I'm just so you know. Anyways, yeah, that Rico Dowdle
- 54:53story was just obnoxious for the NFL to do something to a player
- 54:57that's one of the hottest plays right now in football, and he's
- 55:00doing used. To have two pumps, you're
- 55:02supposed to be able to do 2 pumps, not three.
- 55:04I get he only gave 2 and they find him.
- 55:07That's wrong. That's.
- 55:07Wrong. That doesn't make any sense.
- 55:09But you know, it's the NFL and that's why he's using it for
- 55:13good. And I like that.
- 55:14By Rico and Boyle oh boy, are the Cowboys shaking their heads
- 55:19because this guy is becoming a star under, you know, under a
- 55:24new tutelage. So I like it.
- 55:27I like the story. It's a good one.
- 55:28Thank you to all the fans following us on Spotify and
- 55:32Apple and obviously YouTube. Yeah, we're growing on all the
- 55:36social medias. We're on Reddit to jab in the
- 55:39mouth and we have all our stories on Reddit right now and
- 55:42it's actually growing. It's it's really, really good.
- 55:45Go check out my stories, my Joel and beat stories, sensational.
- 55:48I'm not lying to you. It's funny.
- 55:49It's definitely my humor. If you like the humor on this
- 55:52show, you definitely have to read the stories.
- 55:54They're they're they are funny. I put a lot of time into it.
- 55:57So you definitely get the the personality part to it.
- 56:02And Shaffer, if you're an Islander fan and you want to
- 56:06hear my beanbag thoughts to John Tavares, you definitely got to
- 56:10read that story as well, as Speedy was laughing to it the
- 56:13whole time. Speedy, you like that one,
- 56:14right, Speedy? Yeah.
- 56:17Yeah. Well, speak up, man.
- 56:18What's wrong with you? You have a thumb up your ass.
- 56:19I'm trying. To not to spoil it for them
- 56:21well. They got to read it.
- 56:22They have to read it. They got to read it.
- 56:24And anyways, Oh yeah, it's been a great one.
- 56:27Speedy, who do we have on Monday?
- 56:28All right. Returning to the show is the
- 56:30daughter of Jack Burke. We just had on last week in
- 56:33Allie Burke. She is a singer.
- 56:35She's a a pop singer. Can.
- 56:36We get her to sing on the show. You can.
- 56:38You can try. I mean, definitely could I?
- 56:40Could I be a backup singer so. Java.
- 56:41The last time we had her on was before you were with us.
- 56:44She actually sang the national anthem at many different MLB
- 56:48ballparks. And coming up November 6th,
- 56:50Buffalo Bills, she'll be singing at the Buffalo Bills game.
- 56:54Yeah. And, and Ally's first of all,
- 56:56she's a big Josh Allen fan. So this is something that she's
- 57:01probably going to be like, oh, you know, like I would do.
- 57:04Yeah. I mean, if I was a Josh Allen
- 57:05fan. I am a Josh Allen fan, by the
- 57:07way, but I I did get a jersey. I can't lie to you guys.
- 57:10But tonight I'm a Danny Dimes fan as Danny D is rocking all
- 57:17night long, Speedy, sing it all night long.
- 57:20Come on, sing it, Speedy, come on, come on, come on.
- 57:28That's the best. I mean, who, who could?
- 57:30There you go. A little rat rat attack right
- 57:33there, baby. Delicious, edible and I don't
- 57:37know why he has his tongue out. I don't know why and my face is
- 57:41like deformed like what the hell is that?
- 57:44Am I growing like an extra that's?
- 57:46Good. That's a good one.
- 57:49That's. Pretty close.
- 57:50Yeah, it's really close my. Face is not deformed.
- 57:53Come on. It's a cartoon version of you,
- 57:57yeah. I guess I I'm not a big fan of
- 58:00it so, but you can you can tell those things.
- 58:03Fantastic. Well, thank you, Jabba.
- 58:05Because it's not some bald head 6 foot three, you know, Beluga
- 58:11whale, you know. I'm just kidding anyways.
- 58:17Give me that chicken Curry I. Could use some chicken Curry
- 58:20right now or something because I'm a pretty hungry and maybe
- 58:23Applebee's some half price Applebee's.
- 58:25Chicken Curry no. I wouldn't.
- 58:27Never. No, never do.
- 58:29You want to jerk me off? Well.
- 58:30Definitely not nothing and that's probably what are you did
- 58:33you. Would is Applebee's open by you?
- 58:35Yeah, it is 100%. It's open.
- 58:39What time is it? Speedy 11:30 Yeah.
- 58:41We're, we're, we're good. We, we can make it.
- 58:44But yeah, thank you to the fans. Anything on Wednesday?
- 58:47Yes, we do have 8:45. I don't know if you faced him,
- 58:50Jabba, he was a little came in the league a little after you
- 58:52joined Logan, Logan Morrison, yes, he played with the Marlins,
- 58:55the this Mariners. I think he might have faced him
- 58:57maybe in the American League later on with the Rays as well.
- 59:00So maybe you faced him a little bit, but.
- 59:01Mostly he's he's an interesting bird.
- 59:05Aren't we all? Aren't we all?
- 59:06Including he's, he's, he's there, there, no.
- 59:10So let's bird away speedy. Give me a 11 sound before we go.
- 59:14Give me like a bird sound. Give me a nice bird sound.
- 59:19Oh, that's a good one smelling right there.
- 59:24Wow, that was that was good Speedy.
- 59:26That was, I'm losing myself, you know, I might have lost some.
- 59:31Something probably popped out a little bit, you know, a little
- 59:33turtle head. Anyways, that's it for a show.
- 59:35We'll talk to you next week. Good night everybody.
- 59:37You're listening to the Worldwide Sports Radio Network.
