- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey everybody, welcome to Vance on a Friday. Great to
- 0:02Speaker 1: have you with us as always. Are there threats to
- 0:04Speaker 1: the First Amendment? Well, yeah, there sure are. It's not
- 0:07Speaker 1: what CNN talks about.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Ms.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Now's not talking about them. Politico's not talking about them.
- 0:12Speaker 1: But we are. We're going to talk about the actual
- 0:13Speaker 1: threats to the First Amendment. I'm going to show you
- 0:15Speaker 1: video footage of what it actually looks like as a
- 0:18Speaker 1: conservative reporter attempts to tell you the truth about government
- 0:21Speaker 1: spending and a man tries to murder him for doing it.
- 0:25Speaker 1: I've got the details on that coming up on the program. Also,
- 0:29Speaker 1: the president of the United States is speaking out about
- 0:32Speaker 1: all of these various terror attacks lately. Are those connected
- 0:37Speaker 1: to Iran? The president gives us the latest intel on
- 0:40Speaker 1: that subject. And we'll also take a deep dive today
- 0:43Speaker 1: into energy. There's a lot of lying going on about
- 0:47Speaker 1: the state of American energy, the cost of everything, why
- 0:50Speaker 1: it's gone up. We'll explore that in a moment. We'll
- 0:52Speaker 1: tell you the truth about all of it. I've got
- 0:54Speaker 1: a great guest joining us soon, Daniel Turner, who will
- 0:57Speaker 1: give us some really important details about the price of diesel. Everyone,
- 1:02Speaker 1: you know, if you're a truck driver, you know you've
- 1:04Speaker 1: been suffering this. Why is diesel so expensive? The actual
- 1:08Speaker 1: truth on that subject is coming up on this program.
- 1:11Speaker 1: Don't miss it. You'll be well equipped to have that
- 1:14Speaker 1: conversation with everybody you meet. It's all ahead on this
- 1:17Speaker 1: edition of Vince. Great to have you with us on
- 1:19Speaker 1: a Friday. It's Friday. We made it. Coming up on
- 1:22Speaker 1: the program, we got a lot to get to. But first,
- 1:24Speaker 1: I want to tell you about Blackout Coffee, which powers
- 1:26Speaker 1: me up, not just on Fridays, but every day. You know,
- 1:29Speaker 1: there are some things you buy because you have to
- 1:31Speaker 1: buy them. And then there are things you feel so
- 1:33Speaker 1: freaking good about buying. For me, that's Blackout Coffee. It's
- 1:36Speaker 1: a small American company built by people who work hard,
- 1:38Speaker 1: believe in this country, share our values, and happen to
- 1:41Speaker 1: make some seriously good coffee. And every morning when I
- 1:44Speaker 1: pour that first cup, I know what I'm getting. I
- 1:46Speaker 1: know exactly what I'm getting. It's strong, smooth coffee, never bitter,
- 1:50Speaker 1: fresh roasted, packed with flavor, delivered right to my door. Honestly,
- 1:56Speaker 1: so good and so much better to make a great
- 1:58Speaker 1: cup of coffee at home than go stand in line
- 2:00Speaker 1: at some store where you load it up with a
- 2:02Speaker 1: bunch of nonsense to mask the flavor of their coffee. Uh-uh, no.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Great coffee doesn't need all of that. You don't need
- 2:08Speaker 1: a bunch of sugar. You don't need hundreds of extra calories.
- 2:10Speaker 1: It should taste great on its own. Blackout Coffee does.
- 2:14Speaker 1: They keep it so simple. It's great coffee, great people,
- 2:17Speaker 1: an American company doing things the right way. If you
- 2:20Speaker 1: haven't tried it yet, what are you waiting for? Now's
- 2:22Speaker 1: the time. Go to blackoutcoffee.com slash Vince. Use the code Vince,
- 2:26Speaker 1: 20% off your first order. That's blackoutcoffee.com slash Vince. Try
- 2:32Speaker 1: Blackout Coffee. Start your morning with something you can feel
- 2:36Speaker 1: oh so very good about.
- 2:37Speaker 3: Boom.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Yeah, blackout coffee is very good. Pitch black espresso is
- 2:46Speaker 1: what I go with. And I do whole bean. And
- 2:50Speaker 1: it's great.
- 2:51Speaker 2: All right.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Let's see. I want to talk to you about a
- 2:53Speaker 1: real threat on the First Amendment. You know, this past
- 2:55Speaker 1: week or so, the media has been engaged in the
- 2:59Speaker 1: most preposterous navel gazing exercise that we've seen in. Well,
- 3:03Speaker 1: a week or so. It just keeps happening, doesn't it?
- 3:06Speaker 1: As CNN and then Ms. Now and Politico all got
- 3:09Speaker 1: the boot from the office space at the White House,
- 3:11Speaker 1: making them, well, like the rest of us. We can't
- 3:14Speaker 1: all waltz into the White House in any moment. But
- 3:16Speaker 1: a judge interfered with all of this and said the
- 3:19Speaker 1: president has to welcome them back in to the White
- 3:23Speaker 1: House complex. They have a First Amendment right to be there.
- 3:25Speaker 1: It's kind of crazy. Okay, well, then can the rest
- 3:28Speaker 1: of us go?
- 3:29Speaker 4: No.
- 3:30Speaker 2: Why not?
- 3:31Speaker 1: We have the First Amendment, too. It doesn't have to
- 3:33Speaker 1: make sense. Anyway, they don't have office space for a
- 3:36Speaker 1: little bit, and they go crazy. Now, the president, of course,
- 3:39Speaker 1: has never relented in being transparent. The guy answers phone
- 3:41Speaker 1: calls from the media. He's constantly available. He's always doing
- 3:45Speaker 1: press conferences. There's no shortage of opportunities for the president
- 3:48Speaker 1: to answer questions from the media, hostile or otherwise. But
- 3:52Speaker 1: that has been represented as the most dire attack on
- 3:55Speaker 1: the First Amendment that we've seen in a lifetime. That's
- 4:00Speaker 1: the way the press has been distorting that. You ready
- 4:03Speaker 1: to see an actual threat attack on the First Amendment? Yesterday,
- 4:08Speaker 1: a reporter by the name of Joe Sokol is in Bangor, Maine,
- 4:12Speaker 1: covering the vast amount of federal taxpayer money that is
- 4:18Speaker 1: flowing into something called the Bangor Comprehensive Treatment Center. It's
- 4:25Speaker 1: a methadone clinic. Methadone is a kind of a low-dose
- 4:28Speaker 1: opioid used to try and abate opioid addictions, but it's
- 4:32Speaker 1: a drug. that's administered at this methadone clinic. And Joe's
- 4:37Speaker 1: outside covering just the sheer amount of taxpayer money that's
- 4:41Speaker 1: been going there. And as he's doing this standup report,
- 4:45Speaker 1: standing in front of a camera, a man drives his
- 4:48Speaker 1: vehicle over to Joe, opens his window and begins confronting him.
- 4:54Speaker 1: And in the video footage you're about to see, Joe's
- 4:57Speaker 1: a little confused why the guy is confronting him and
- 5:00Speaker 1: gets him to basically leave. The guy leaves. and just
- 5:03Speaker 1: off camera takes a U-turn and then attempts to murder
- 5:07Speaker 1: Joe Sokol. Don't believe me? Take a look at the footage.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Cut one.
- 5:12Speaker 5: We have somebody right now.
- 5:14Speaker 1: How you doing, bud? You all right? Doing good.
- 5:23Speaker 6: I'm invading people's privacy here. Confidentiality, you realize that?
- 5:28Speaker 1: I'm invading people's privacy? Yeah. by being in public with
- 5:32Speaker 1: a camera and.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Doing a report? Yeah, videoing across the road.
- 5:37Speaker 4: Okay.
- 5:40Speaker 1: What can I do for you?
- 5:45Speaker 6: Okay.
- 5:45Speaker 1: So he's polite to him. And we have another person, um... Essentially,
- 5:55Speaker 1: probably intoxicated. There is no way to tell.
- 5:59Speaker 3: But what I will say is multiple people did get
- 6:02Speaker 3: in cars.
- 6:03Speaker 7: They.
- 6:04Speaker 1: See, the camera goes flying.
- 6:09Speaker 8: 841 LZD.
- 6:12Speaker 2: 841 LZD.
- 6:12Speaker 8: 841.
- 6:15Speaker 1: There's another angle there. You see the car... blast through
- 6:25Speaker 1: the camera. Heads toward Joe. Joe jumps out of the way. Here, Joe,
- 6:31Speaker 1: it sounds like it's Joe on the mic. Are you
- 6:33Speaker 1: trying to intimidate me? Off the property right now.
- 6:36Speaker 3: And we have cameras.
- 6:38Speaker 4: Off the property right now.
- 6:41Speaker 2: Don't touch me. I'm not touching you.
- 6:44Speaker 7: Get off my property.
- 6:45Speaker 9: Is that what you want?
- 6:46Speaker 1: Do you want an assault charge? What a day. What
- 6:50Speaker 1: a day. Now, now, Of course, you can hear it.
- 6:54Speaker 1: For those of you who are listening, I'll just give
- 6:55Speaker 1: you some more MS Ferrix here. Joe is standing across
- 6:59Speaker 1: the street from this operation. He's not on the property,
- 7:02Speaker 1: not until the end, by the way, when he's like going,
- 7:05Speaker 1: what the hell's going on? That guy tried to kill me.
- 7:09Speaker 1: For his report, he's standing across the street, got his
- 7:12Speaker 1: camera set up, standing in front of it, holding a microphone.
- 7:15Speaker 1: This guy comes over to him, angry that he's even
- 7:18Speaker 1: doing any news coverage whatsoever on this subject. whips his
- 7:21Speaker 1: car around, blasts right through the camera, Joe uninjured because
- 7:26Speaker 1: he dives out of the way of the car that's
- 7:28Speaker 1: careening towards him. And then you hear him start to
- 7:33Speaker 1: cite the license plate number as the vehicle is driving
- 7:36Speaker 1: away in the video. It's a Maine license plate. He
- 7:41Speaker 1: begins reading out the license plate number. Now, we know
- 7:44Speaker 1: at this point that the cops there in Maine do
- 7:47Speaker 1: have all of this information. We haven't seen an update
- 7:50Speaker 1: as of, it's 8.09 a.m. Eastern time this morning. I
- 7:53Speaker 1: haven't seen an update to suggest that this man has
- 7:55Speaker 1: yet been arrested. But we did get some, we have
- 8:00Speaker 1: actually received a bunch of updates from Mainwire, which, by
- 8:02Speaker 1: the way, is a phenomenal publication. If you live in
- 8:05Speaker 1: Maine or if you care at all about the way
- 8:08Speaker 1: that the government is acting inside of that state, the
- 8:12Speaker 1: way your money is being spent inside of that state,
- 8:14Speaker 1: you should follow the Mainwire. They're doing incredible reporting of,
- 8:18Speaker 1: I would say, national consequence, but with this very intensive focus,
- 8:23Speaker 1: of course, on their state. That's their home state. It's
- 8:27Speaker 1: a great operation, the main wire. And they released a
- 8:30Speaker 1: statement yesterday. Steve Robinson, their editor, released a statement. The
- 8:35Speaker 1: statement is kind of fun because, yes, it is a
- 8:38Speaker 1: very serious threat, but they also kind of, they're busting
- 8:42Speaker 1: Joe's chops a bit that he had to experience all
- 8:45Speaker 1: of this. Here's what Steve Robinson said, he said this morning,
- 8:48Speaker 1: main wire reporter Joe Sokol was confronted by a driver
- 8:52Speaker 1: while reporting from public property outside of Bangor Comprehensive Treatment Center,
- 8:56Speaker 1: also known as Discovery House. According to Sokol, the driver
- 9:00Speaker 1: recognized him as a journalist and tried to strike him
- 9:02Speaker 1: with a vehicle to stop his reporting. We are pleased
- 9:05Speaker 1: to report that Joe is safe, unharmed, and considerably harder
- 9:09Speaker 1: to kill than anticipated. Unfortunately for the driver, the good
- 9:14Speaker 1: Lord equipped Joe with the reflexes of a cheetah. That
- 9:24Speaker 1: is good. That is good to have the reflexes of
- 9:25Speaker 1: a cheetah. And the professional instinct of a man preserves evidence.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Joe avoided the vehicle by swiftly dodging toward the direction
- 9:33Speaker 1: it was heading, utterly outwitting the seemingly intoxicated driver and
- 9:37Speaker 1: outstanding performance under pressure. Exactly what the main wire says.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Legend as it, his heart rate never exceeded 75 beats
- 9:45Speaker 1: per minute. Team Robinson's medical department has not independently verified
- 9:48Speaker 1: this statistic. We stand by it spiritually. But he does
- 9:52Speaker 1: go on to say the following. He goes, Joe was
- 9:54Speaker 1: there to ask questions about a methadone clinic that, according
- 9:58Speaker 1: to the Maine Wires reporting, has received roughly $ 25 million
- 10:02Speaker 1: in taxpayer funding via Medicaid.
- 10:05Speaker 2: $ 25 million.
- 10:08Speaker 1: This is essentially a taxpayer-funded drug dealing operation at the
- 10:12Speaker 1: heart of Bangor, Maine. We will continue to investigate this organization,
- 10:16Speaker 1: its enablers, and the employees who appear to be accessories
- 10:20Speaker 1: after the fact rather than good Samaritans. And then he
- 10:24Speaker 1: goes on to say that they've provided the Bangor Police
- 10:26Speaker 1: Department with all of the information they intend to continue
- 10:30Speaker 1: to cooperate fully. with their investigation. They will provide the
- 10:34Speaker 1: vehicle information, the identity of the driver, his social media history,
- 10:37Speaker 1: the VIN number on his vehicle, his romantic history, our
- 10:40Speaker 1: account of what happened, and our opinion as to what
- 10:43Speaker 1: should happen to the driver and the taxpayer-funded methadone slingers
- 10:46Speaker 1: who helped him become intoxicated before getting behind the wheel
- 10:49Speaker 1: of a vehicle. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
- 10:52Speaker 1: Team Robinson. That's the editor over at the main wire.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Steve Robinson with an at times cheeky statement on the subject.
- 11:01Speaker 1: But his reporter clearly in the line of fire. The
- 11:04Speaker 1: guy tried to plow through him. And luckily, Joe's able
- 11:08Speaker 1: to dive out of the way. In fact, Steve did
- 11:11Speaker 1: offer a video update on what exactly went down yesterday.
- 11:16Speaker 1: And I think in this video, he notes that media
- 11:19Speaker 1: figures like yours truly are were covering this yesterday. I
- 11:23Speaker 1: was posting about it on social media. I was saying
- 11:25Speaker 1: the cops need to catch this guy. Meanwhile, the legacy
- 11:27Speaker 1: press was straight up ignoring this actual attack on the
- 11:30Speaker 1: First Amendment. Here's Steve Robinson yesterday.
- 11:33Speaker 2: Watch.
- 11:34Speaker 5: Steve Robinson, editor-in-chief of The Main Wire. By now, I
- 11:38Speaker 5: suppose most of you have seen the news. I almost
- 11:42Speaker 5: had to hire another reporter in Bangor. I don't think
- 11:45Speaker 5: you guys really sympathize with how hard it is to
- 11:47Speaker 5: find good help, especially in the Bangor area. And if
- 11:50Speaker 5: I'd lost Joe today, that would have been a huge,
- 11:54Speaker 5: huge pain in the ass to me. But in all seriousness,
- 11:58Speaker 5: glad to see that Joe is happy and healthy. And
- 12:01Speaker 5: of course, the media is reacting to this exactly like
- 12:05Speaker 5: you would expect them to. The real media that exists
- 12:08Speaker 5: on X is responding to this with horror because this
- 12:11Speaker 5: was an attempted, targeted act of violence towards a journalist.
- 12:16Speaker 5: But the rest of the mainstream media, the legacy press,
- 12:19Speaker 5: the People who, you know, went to Columbia and think
- 12:22Speaker 5: journalism is some high priesthood, they probably don't even realize
- 12:26Speaker 5: that this has happened yet. The last time Joe was assaulted,
- 12:29Speaker 5: or maybe it was the time John Featherston, another main
- 12:32Speaker 5: wire journalist, was assaulted with a skateboard, the Maine Press
- 12:35Speaker 5: Association wasn't even aware of it until we published, I think,
- 12:38Speaker 5: maybe three or four articles calling attention to the fact
- 12:41Speaker 5: that they weren't aware of it. So you've got pretend
- 12:44Speaker 5: reporters writing pretend stories about stuff that just doesn't matter
- 12:49Speaker 5: at all. Meanwhile, Joe Sokol is doing a report from
- 12:53Speaker 5: a government-funded drug dealing operation. That's what this place is.
- 12:57Speaker 5: It's a methadone clinic that's received $ 25 million since 2018
- 13:02Speaker 5: in Medicaid money to give drugs to drug addicts, methadone.
- 13:07Speaker 5: They call it harm reduction. Doesn't look like there's a
- 13:10Speaker 5: lot of harm being reduced in that area. These are
- 13:13Speaker 5: drug dealers subsidized by the government and they targeted Joe
- 13:18Speaker 5: because they wanted to reduce attention on this. And I
- 13:21Speaker 5: actually had a phone call with the individual driving the car,
- 13:24Speaker 5: the assailant, the man who attempted to murder Joe. And
- 13:28Speaker 5: he told me that he was deeply familiar with Joe's
- 13:30Speaker 5: reporting because Joe has been reporting on poverty, drug addiction,
- 13:33Speaker 5: and crime in the Bangor area. He'd seen a lot
- 13:36Speaker 5: of Joe's videos, and he knew exactly who he was
- 13:38Speaker 5: talking to.
- 13:38Speaker 1: All right, thank you. So there's Steve Robinson. I'll play
- 13:42Speaker 1: some audio from that phone call in just a moment.
- 13:44Speaker 1: But on this point, on the amount of money that's
- 13:47Speaker 1: gone into this clinic, and it is true. He's right
- 13:49Speaker 1: about that. You, by virtue of your paycheck, money is
- 13:53Speaker 1: coming out of your paycheck and paying for drugs that
- 13:55Speaker 1: are being given to people in Maine, certainly in other
- 13:58Speaker 1: places in the country as well. And it's been described
- 14:00Speaker 1: as harm reduction. But as Steve Robinson rightly notes, it
- 14:05Speaker 1: hasn't actually improved the quality of life in Bangor, Maine,
- 14:08Speaker 1: has it? And It's like these needle exchange programs where
- 14:11Speaker 1: people are given needles in order to shoot up.
- 14:14Speaker 2: What?
- 14:14Speaker 1: That taxpayer funded? Yeah, that happens. And here's the numbers.
- 14:18Speaker 1: Mainwire put this out yesterday. They say that facility has
- 14:22Speaker 1: received Medicaid funding up until 2024 that amounted to about
- 14:25Speaker 1: $ 21 million. The Mainwire is saying further funding has led
- 14:27Speaker 1: to about almost $ 25 million. And you can see it
- 14:34Speaker 1: ramps up with each passing year.
- 14:36Speaker 4: 2018, $ 1.
- 14:36Speaker 1: 3 million. And then it goes up every year. 1.8, 2.1, 2.6, 3.2, 4.6,
- 14:37Speaker 1: $ 5 million in the year 2024 going into a drug operation.
- 14:39Speaker 1: And the main wire thought that you should know about it.
- 14:40Speaker 1: They're just trying to report on it. And for that,
- 14:43Speaker 1: a man tried to kill their reporter. That man did
- 15:06Speaker 1: get on the phone with Steve Robinson. Now, you know, look,
- 15:09Speaker 1: I don't know what this dude's situation is. It sounds
- 15:11Speaker 1: like he's fallen into drugs at some point in his life.
- 15:14Speaker 1: There's something, of course, very sad about the state of
- 15:18Speaker 1: his life. No question about it. But there's also no
- 15:20Speaker 1: question about the fact that we just saw him try
- 15:22Speaker 1: to kill a reporter on camera. Steve Robinson gets him
- 15:25Speaker 1: on the phone, and apparently the guy thinks that he's
- 15:28Speaker 1: talking to the cops. Steve didn't mislead him. The guy
- 15:30Speaker 1: just starts rambling on and on like he thinks he's
- 15:33Speaker 1: talking to law enforcement. He wasn't. He was talking to
- 15:35Speaker 1: Steve Robinson, the editor of The Main Wire, and this
- 15:38Speaker 1: is what it sounded like.
- 15:39Speaker 2: Hi, I'm calling for Ryan. Yes, this is.
- 15:43Speaker 5: Is this the Ryan who tried to run over a
- 15:46Speaker 5: reporter this morning in Bangor?
- 15:48Speaker 2: Uh, no. This is the Ryan that supposedly tried.
- 15:52Speaker 1: To run over.
- 15:53Speaker 2: That's a crock of shit.
- 15:56Speaker 5: What's a crock of shit?
- 15:57Speaker 2: That I tried running him over.
- 16:00Speaker 5: Okay, can you describe what you saw?
- 16:03Speaker 2: Have you seen the video? Yeah. What happened on the video?
- 16:08Speaker 1: Oh, I just backed in, turned around, drove across the grass.
- 16:12Speaker 8: Okay.
- 16:14Speaker 5: And you didn't see him there on the grass with
- 16:16Speaker 5: his tripod reporting?
- 16:18Speaker 1: Yeah, he was right there off to the side.
- 16:20Speaker 4: Okay.
- 16:22Speaker 5: Had you just gotten methadone at the clinic?
- 16:25Speaker 4: No.
- 16:26Speaker 9: No.
- 16:28Speaker 5: So why were you at the methadone clinic?
- 16:33Speaker 2: Because I'm a patient there.
- 16:36Speaker 5: So you're a patient there, but you hadn't just gotten
- 16:38Speaker 5: methadone that morning?
- 16:40Speaker 1: No, I didn't because I just went and talked to
- 16:42Speaker 1: him and things went whatever.
- 16:49Speaker 2: Okay, so I.
- 16:51Speaker 1: Mean, come on, I just pulled up.
- 16:54Speaker 2: I was very polite and talking to him.
- 16:57Speaker 1: He was quite ignorant.
- 16:59Speaker 2: I mean, as it shows on the video. He's got
- 17:03Speaker 2: no right doing that.
- 17:04Speaker 1: That's not okay. All right, enough. So he does, of course,
- 17:09Speaker 1: have the right to report on how federal taxpayer money
- 17:12Speaker 1: is spent. He does have the right to stand on
- 17:14Speaker 1: a public street. He does have the right to stand
- 17:16Speaker 1: at some great distance actually from the building. and do
- 17:19Speaker 1: a stand-up in front of it. And you don't have
- 17:21Speaker 1: the right to try and kill him. And of course,
- 17:22Speaker 1: the guy's lying on the phone to what he believes
- 17:25Speaker 1: to be law enforcement, saying, oh, I just turned around
- 17:28Speaker 1: and I drove across the grass. I saw him, but
- 17:30Speaker 1: I was just driving across the grass. No, you were
- 17:33Speaker 1: aiming your car for him and his equipment. You struck
- 17:35Speaker 1: the equipment. You missed him. Thank God. Now, the news
- 17:40Speaker 1: coverage on this, does it exist? Kind of, not really.
- 17:44Speaker 1: Some of the local Bangor and broader Maine outlets have
- 17:47Speaker 1: begun to cover it this morning. That's mostly after a
- 17:50Speaker 1: lot of browbeating from the rest of us going, are
- 17:52Speaker 1: you going to cover this story? It just happened in
- 17:54Speaker 1: your own state. Are you going to cover the news?
- 17:56Speaker 1: So some of that's happening now. Over at Newsweek, they've
- 17:59Speaker 1: got a weird headline on this subject. Conservative Maine reporter.
- 18:02Speaker 1: I want you to know it's conservative, so it prejudices
- 18:06Speaker 1: your understanding of the story immediately. Conservative Maine reporter nearly
- 18:10Speaker 1: run over after clash outside clinic. Clash? What was the
- 18:17Speaker 1: clash that they're referring to? What are they even saying?
- 18:22Speaker 1: Did they see the same video you and I saw?
- 18:25Speaker 1: I saw the video. Joe was polite. The guy seemed
- 18:29Speaker 1: a little agitated. Drove off. What clash are they referring to? Then,
- 18:35Speaker 1: of course, he turns around and the clash begins as
- 18:37Speaker 1: he attempts to kill the reporter. What is this other
- 18:42Speaker 1: than deception? What is this? I'm just looking at this
- 18:46Speaker 1: headline going, this doesn't even bear any resemblance to the
- 18:48Speaker 1: video I just saw. It was a clash.
- 18:50Speaker 2: Okay. Great.
- 18:52Speaker 1: Great. Way to cover it, fellas. Way to really get
- 18:55Speaker 1: on top of that story. Yeah, no. This is exactly
- 19:00Speaker 1: what I'm talking about. And, you know, this gets back
- 19:02Speaker 1: to a bigger issue. that the media just are loath
- 19:05Speaker 1: to talk about at all, which is the assassination culture
- 19:07Speaker 1: that exists on the left. Now, I don't know if
- 19:09Speaker 1: this guy's a voter, if he spends any time voting
- 19:12Speaker 1: for the Democrats, but I do know that there is
- 19:15Speaker 1: a Democrat assassination culture out there that's very casual, that
- 19:19Speaker 1: is way too pervasive, and is very interested in using
- 19:23Speaker 1: violence as a way to achieve their political ends. And
- 19:27Speaker 1: it's pretty obvious. I mean, Charlie Kirk was killed by this.
- 19:31Speaker 1: very thing. President Trump's been shot in the head by
- 19:34Speaker 1: this very kind of violence. You've got the people who
- 19:37Speaker 1: were behind President Trump, two of whom are now dead,
- 19:41Speaker 1: murdered by this. It's disgusting. It's absolutely disgusting what we've seen.
- 19:46Speaker 1: And it is far too pervasive and it's at crisis levels.
- 19:49Speaker 1: We've talked about it here on this program but again
- 19:51Speaker 1: these other outlets it's like crickets you can't get them
- 19:53Speaker 1: to even cover it you can't get them to acknowledge
- 19:56Speaker 1: it although fearmonger like crazy about how somehow donald trump
- 19:59Speaker 1: is going to invoke the insurrection act you see that
- 20:01Speaker 1: this week donald trump does a time interview and they
- 20:06Speaker 1: ask him are you going to invoke the insurrection act
- 20:07Speaker 1: going into the election And he's like, well, I'm not,
- 20:11Speaker 1: people keep asking me to. I've never invoked the Insurrection Act.
- 20:14Speaker 1: And then what do they want with the headline? They say, oh,
- 20:17Speaker 1: Donald Trump doesn't rule out invoking the Insurrection Act. They'll say,
- 20:20Speaker 1: are you going to send ICE agents to the polls?
- 20:22Speaker 1: Is that happening? And he says, I haven't thought about it.
- 20:26Speaker 1: Donald Trump doesn't rule out sending ICE agents to the polls.
- 20:28Speaker 1: These people are psychos. These people are scandal-mongering psychos who
- 20:33Speaker 1: can't even begin to tell you what's actually going on,
- 20:36Speaker 1: where the threats are coming from, and why they're at
- 20:38Speaker 1: crisis levels. It's amazing. It's just amazing. So this is
- 20:42Speaker 1: a big commentary on the media in so many ways.
- 20:46Speaker 1: And the reality that if you try and tell the
- 20:48Speaker 1: truth in America, it could cost you your life. It
- 20:51Speaker 1: could cost you your life. And Joe Sokol, thank God,
- 20:55Speaker 1: survived an attempt on his yesterday. An amazing story. Anyway,
- 20:59Speaker 1: follow the main wire. give them the support they deserve
- 21:02Speaker 1: because they're actually doing real reporting and they deserve to
- 21:05Speaker 1: be consumed. So that way you can become smarter about
- 21:08Speaker 1: what's going on in your world, going on in your country,
- 21:10Speaker 1: how your money's being spent. That seems to matter a
- 21:12Speaker 1: great deal. More from the president of the United States.
- 21:15Speaker 9: In a moment.
- 21:15Speaker 1: I'm going to get some audio from him because he's
- 21:18Speaker 1: being asked about a number of things. One of them
- 21:21Speaker 1: is that botched execution in Tennessee. The president of the
- 21:25Speaker 1: United States has a reaction to that. And also these
- 21:28Speaker 1: multiple terror attacks we've seen over the course of the
- 21:31Speaker 1: past week, attempted terror attacks. Is this all connected to Iran?
- 21:36Speaker 1: The president has some thoughts on that subject. And we've
- 21:38Speaker 1: got to get to energy prices. We've got a lot
- 21:40Speaker 1: more to discuss all ahead on this edition of events
- 21:43Speaker 1: on a Friday. Great to have you with us as always.
- 21:46Speaker 1: Our great sponsors help power the program. And today that
- 21:48Speaker 1: includes chapter. Chapter is great. Let me ask you something
- 21:52Speaker 1: really simple, not a political question. When was the last
- 21:55Speaker 1: time you looked at your Medicare plan? not the card
- 21:57Speaker 1: in your wallet, the plan itself, because you see it
- 22:00Speaker 1: changes every year, what it covers, what your prescriptions cost,
- 22:03Speaker 1: whether your doctors are even still in it. And 70%
- 22:06Speaker 1: of people never go back and actually check. Now, when
- 22:10Speaker 1: you signed up, you didn't make a bad decision. You
- 22:11Speaker 1: made a fine decision back in say 2021, which is
- 22:15Speaker 1: why you should trust Chapter. They're the only Medicare advisors
- 22:18Speaker 1: that actually compare every plan nationwide. Chapter's independent advisors are honest.
- 22:24Speaker 1: They're not paid to push one plan over another. They
- 22:27Speaker 1: look at your doctors, your prescriptions, your zip code, your
- 22:31Speaker 1: unique situation. Just call them 316-835-9955. Talk to Chapter. Now,
- 22:39Speaker 1: if you're already on the right plan, they're going to
- 22:40Speaker 1: tell you that. And if you're not, they'll help you switch.
- 22:44Speaker 1: And people who have switched with Chapter last year, they
- 22:47Speaker 1: saved an average of $ 1, 100 on health care costs. It's free.
- 22:52Speaker 1: It's under 20 minutes. That's 316-835-9955. Talk to Chapter. 20
- 22:58Speaker 1: minutes to find out you were right or 20 minutes
- 23:01Speaker 1: to fix it. Chapter, 316-835-9955. Thank you, Chapter, for supporting
- 23:08Speaker 1: our program, taking care of people. All right, so let's
- 23:11Speaker 1: take you through some of the president's remarks yesterday. Busy
- 23:13Speaker 1: day yesterday. Here's the president of the United States on
- 23:16Speaker 1: the issue of Tennessee and this woman who survived It's
- 23:21Speaker 1: so crazy. I swear she should be studied. What the
- 23:24Speaker 1: heck's going on? Her name's Krista Pike. Krista Pike. The
- 23:28Speaker 1: state of Tennessee was supposed to put her to death
- 23:29Speaker 1: by lethal injection. They made two attempts now, two nights ago.
- 23:33Speaker 1: She survives the whole thing, and now the state has
- 23:35Speaker 1: to pay for her medical treatment to recover from her
- 23:38Speaker 1: death penalty administration?
- 23:41Speaker 3: What?
- 23:42Speaker 1: Here's President Trump. It shouldn't be that difficult.
- 23:45Speaker 6: Watch. Well, that was an interesting situation, but you're going
- 23:48Speaker 6: to have to speak to Tennessee about it. whether or
- 23:51Speaker 6: not they're going to go forward.
- 23:53Speaker 2: You know what that was about.
- 23:54Speaker 6: That was an execution where the medication didn't exactly work.
- 23:59Speaker 6: He would answer it better than anybody.
- 24:01Speaker 3: How does that happen?
- 24:02Speaker 2: He's a great doctor. It should be easy to do.
- 24:05Speaker 6: It shouldn't be very difficult.
- 24:08Speaker 8: Dr.
- 24:09Speaker 1: Ronny Jackson, now congressman, standing next to him. He goes,
- 24:12Speaker 1: he knows.
- 24:13Speaker 2: He knows.
- 24:13Speaker 1: It should be. I don't know how many people Dr.
- 24:15Speaker 1: Ronny Jackson has killed, but I do know that he
- 24:18Speaker 1: is a real doctor, so he knows how to administer
- 24:22Speaker 1: medication at a reasonable level. But if he ever needed
- 24:25Speaker 1: to at an unreasonable level, he said it would be
- 24:27Speaker 1: very easy to do that. It would be very easy
- 24:29Speaker 1: to do that. And by the way, when you're administering
- 24:31Speaker 1: medicine or any sort of chemical in a death penalty situation,
- 24:35Speaker 1: I don't think there is such a thing as an
- 24:37Speaker 1: unreasonable level. This is one of the things I thought yesterday.
- 24:39Speaker 1: I was like, why don't they just overdose her? I
- 24:41Speaker 1: I mean, people are dying due to fentanyl every day
- 24:44Speaker 1: in the United States of America, although those numbers are dropping,
- 24:47Speaker 1: thanks to the president of the United States. They couldn't
- 24:51Speaker 1: OD her on fentanyl? Is she still alive? What the
- 24:53Speaker 1: hell's going on? It's crazy to me. Anyway, in Tennessee,
- 24:59Speaker 1: you know what they've done. The Tennessee governor, Bill Lee,
- 25:02Speaker 1: has paused all state executions now after this botched attempt
- 25:07Speaker 1: and announced that they're undergoing a comprehensive third-party review of
- 25:10Speaker 1: what went wrong. Save the money, Governor. I'll tell you
- 25:13Speaker 1: what went wrong. You didn't use guns. That's what went wrong.
- 25:17Speaker 1: This is pretty straightforward. I don't think this requires a
- 25:20Speaker 1: taxpayer-funded third-party investigation to get to the bottom of what's
- 25:23Speaker 1: going wrong with the death penalty in Tennessee. Firing squad.
- 25:26Speaker 1: Firing squad would be the way to resolve this particular problem.
- 25:30Speaker 1: Just maybe use, you know, something tried and true instead
- 25:34Speaker 1: of this nonsense that's designed to try and make everybody
- 25:36Speaker 1: feel better about an execution. when in fact it doesn't
- 25:39Speaker 1: actually work and then it makes everybody feel awful. So, what?
- 25:44Speaker 1: Firing squad, that'll help. That's an obvious thing. Also, the
- 25:47Speaker 1: president was asked yesterday about these terror attacks. We've had
- 25:51Speaker 1: a series of them. One, of course, a thwarted terror
- 25:54Speaker 1: attack in the United Kingdom where some terrorists were trying
- 25:58Speaker 1: to attack an air base that contains American aircraft, American
- 26:02Speaker 1: bombers that are being used in the conflict in Iran.
- 26:07Speaker 1: And then subsequently, of course, there was that terror attack
- 26:10Speaker 1: on the flight Dubai airliner, which was destined for Tel Aviv.
- 26:15Speaker 1: And then that became complete chaos when the co-pilot stabbed
- 26:18Speaker 1: the pilot and attempted to crash the whole plane. Thank
- 26:21Speaker 1: goodness for the passengers on board and the pilot's ability
- 26:25Speaker 1: to get that door open so that everyone could retake
- 26:27Speaker 1: the plane. A series of miracles happening in midair. But
- 26:31Speaker 1: here's the president yesterday, first on the flight Dubai thing.
- 26:35Speaker 1: He was asked... Was Iran specifically involved in this? Cut five,
- 26:39Speaker 1: here's the president on that subject. First of all, first.
- 26:44Speaker 4: Of all, has anybody briefed you about whether or not
- 26:47Speaker 4: the guy, the pilot of the flight we buy, please,
- 26:50Speaker 4: is linked to Iran?
- 26:52Speaker 6: We're working on it right now.
- 26:54Speaker 2: They're being very open with us.
- 26:55Speaker 1: I would say the answer, based on what I'm hearing,
- 26:58Speaker 1: is yes.
- 26:59Speaker 6: But we're working on it right now.
- 27:01Speaker 4: So this guy might have been either put in there
- 27:04Speaker 4: by the IRDP or radicalized some other way, and then
- 27:06Speaker 4: he tries to take down the plane.
- 27:08Speaker 2: Could have been, yeah.
- 27:11Speaker 1: Could have been, yup. Could have been, yup. You know,
- 27:15Speaker 1: when we talked to JD Vance earlier this week, I
- 27:17Speaker 1: asked him about this. I was like, who's in charge
- 27:18Speaker 1: in Iran? Because, you know, the president of Iran sits
- 27:21Speaker 1: down with Fox News last week with Bret Baier and
- 27:24Speaker 1: Bret says, hey, are you actually in charge or is
- 27:26Speaker 1: the IRGC doing whatever the hell it feels like? And
- 27:29Speaker 1: the guy doesn't answer the question. He keeps dancing away
- 27:31Speaker 1: from the answer to that question. It certainly starts to
- 27:33Speaker 1: seem like, which of course it has seemed like that
- 27:36Speaker 1: for a while, that you've got these radicals, deeply radical
- 27:39Speaker 1: people inside of that country that who are doing whatever
- 27:41Speaker 1: the hell they want at every stage. And so it's
- 27:43Speaker 1: very hard for the United States, for the Trump administration,
- 27:46Speaker 1: to engage in any sort of negotiation that's actually going
- 27:49Speaker 1: to result in an authentic outcome when you have this
- 27:52Speaker 1: many disparate forces, all in disagreement, and some of them
- 27:55Speaker 1: very radical, who are taking very radical means to try
- 27:58Speaker 1: and upend any chance of peace. That seems to be
- 28:02Speaker 1: what's happening here, including committing terror attacks against an Israel-bound country. airliner. Now,
- 28:08Speaker 1: the president is saying, based on the intelligence he has
- 28:11Speaker 1: access to, better than the stuff I have, that he
- 28:13Speaker 1: believes that this is connected to Iran. He does believe that.
- 28:17Speaker 1: He also says the same thing about the UK terror plot,
- 28:21Speaker 1: where we've seen Iranian nationals. We just saw an Iranian
- 28:24Speaker 1: national arrested yesterday. Another one. This is a sixth person
- 28:27Speaker 1: arrested associated with that terror plot in the UK. Here's
- 28:30Speaker 1: the president on that subject. Cut sex.
- 28:34Speaker 9: Ron was involved in the RAF Fairford failed terror plot.
- 28:38Speaker 2: How will you respond?
- 28:41Speaker 6: It's looking like that.
- 28:43Speaker 1: It's looking like that. It's looking like that. So, look,
- 28:48Speaker 1: do I want that to be the case? Do I
- 28:49Speaker 1: want Iran to act crazy?
- 28:50Speaker 2: No, no.
- 28:51Speaker 1: I want Iran to settle the hell down. I want
- 28:54Speaker 1: them to have a great future. Wouldn't it be great
- 28:56Speaker 1: if they could take yes for an answer? Wouldn't it
- 28:58Speaker 1: be great if, as the president keeps extending olive branches
- 29:01Speaker 1: and saying, hey, I want to work with you, I
- 29:02Speaker 1: want you to have a great future, that they would
- 29:04Speaker 1: say yes to that? Yeah, it'd be wonderful. But they
- 29:06Speaker 1: keep choosing the lunatic options. The president says he's suspicious
- 29:09Speaker 1: of all these terror attacks on the basis of intelligence.
- 29:11Speaker 1: He believes, yeah, I think they're both connected to Iran.
- 29:15Speaker 1: Not shocking. Totally appalling, though. What about energy prices, though?
- 29:19Speaker 1: What about the impact on energy? How much is the
- 29:23Speaker 1: war in Iran having an impact on us? I want
- 29:26Speaker 1: to get into the latest on that subject in a moment.
- 29:27Speaker 1: I've got a great guest coming up. The great Daniel
- 29:30Speaker 1: Turner is going to be with us. I want to
- 29:31Speaker 1: talk to him about energy and the truth you need
- 29:34Speaker 1: to know about what's really going on. Because we started
- 29:38Speaker 1: the show, as we often do, talking about the media
- 29:40Speaker 1: distortions that are going on. And they're not even beginning
- 29:43Speaker 1: to tell you half of the story on what's going
- 29:47Speaker 1: on with energy and the role that forces outside of
- 29:51Speaker 1: Iran are playing on why energy prices have gone up.
- 29:55Speaker 1: This is really important information. You're going to want to
- 29:59Speaker 1: hear this and then you're going to tell everybody you
- 30:01Speaker 1: know about it. It's all ahead on this edition of Vince.
- 30:05Speaker 1: Before we get there, though, I want to thank the
- 30:07Speaker 1: great people over at Native Path for supporting this kind

- 32:24Speaker 1: for details this week over on, uh, the CNN network.
- 32:29Speaker 1: One of the lone voices of sanity over there is
- 32:32Speaker 1: a fellow called Scott Jennings. And he was on, uh,
- 32:36Speaker 1: with Abby normal, you know, Abby normal. She hosts a
- 32:38Speaker 1: show on, on CNN for some reason. Uh, and, uh,
- 32:42Speaker 1: And Abby Normal, they call her Abby Phillip for some reason,
- 32:46Speaker 1: she was saying that diesel prices are unaffected entirely by
- 32:51Speaker 1: refinery capacity. She's like, we don't even need refineries. Who
- 32:55Speaker 1: needs a refinery? This is the insanity that's being uttered
- 32:58Speaker 1: on CNN, and this is like the one guy telling
- 33:02Speaker 1: the truth. Watch this clip.
- 33:05Speaker 7: Honestly, it's a silly argument, and it's not even true.
- 33:10Speaker 7: It's a silly argument. It's not even true that the
- 33:14Speaker 7: rise in diesel prices was driven by a lack of refineries.
- 33:19Speaker 7: That is not the reason.
- 33:20Speaker 1: Are you arguing that the Russian-Ukraine war hasn't knocked offline
- 33:23Speaker 1: a bunch of refineries? That's where a lot of it
- 33:24Speaker 1: comes from.
- 33:25Speaker 8: Scott.
- 33:25Speaker 2: It's absolutely true.
- 33:27Speaker 7: Scott, the last six months.
- 33:29Speaker 1: During the course of this war. And by the way,
- 33:32Speaker 1: as Ukraine has pressed further into Russia, they have absolutely
- 33:35Speaker 1: hit refineries.
- 33:35Speaker 7: Scott, are you talking about domestic refineries? You are arguing
- 33:38Speaker 7: that a lack of domestic refineries led to a rise
- 33:42Speaker 7: in the oil and gas.
- 33:42Speaker 1: I'm saying we absolutely don't have enough refining capacity. We
- 33:45Speaker 1: should build more refineries. What you're saying is not true.
- 33:48Speaker 2: Yes, exactly.
- 33:49Speaker 7: What you're saying is not true. It's long-term and short-term.
- 33:51Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 33:51Speaker 1: You're arguing about six months. I'm arguing that Democrats have.
- 33:54Speaker 7: Argued against domestic energy forever.
- 33:57Speaker 1: And now you want me to trust them on gas prices?
- 33:59Speaker 1: I'm arguing it. It's not true. It's not true. It's
- 34:02Speaker 1: not true. Trump's responsible for everything awful. It's not true
- 34:06Speaker 1: that there's any other explanation. What is true? We're joined
- 34:12Speaker 1: now by the great Daniel Turner from Power of the Future.
- 34:15Speaker 1: He knows all about energy. Daniel, great to have you
- 34:17Speaker 1: on the program, sir.
- 34:19Speaker 3: It's too early in the morning to listen to this nonsense, Vince.
- 34:22Speaker 3: I got to tell you, Scott Jennings does not make
- 34:24Speaker 3: enough money to have to put up with this programming.
- 34:26Speaker 3: This is the moderator, right? So, so much for moderating
- 34:30Speaker 3: a debate between different.
- 34:32Speaker 2: Points of view.
- 34:33Speaker 3: And, you know, what Abby is saying gets to the
- 34:36Speaker 3: heart of why I started Power the Future. The people
- 34:39Speaker 3: who make energy policy, and in this case, the people
- 34:41Speaker 3: who comment on energy policy, are so ignorant about how
- 34:45Speaker 3: energy is made and how it's produced and what goes
- 34:47Speaker 3: into it. that they are causing huge national security problems
- 34:51Speaker 3: as well as economic problems because their ignorance is getting
- 34:54Speaker 3: us into a lot of trouble.
- 34:56Speaker 1: Okay, so let me just frame this conversation around what's
- 35:00Speaker 1: happening to energy prices right now. Let's pretend for a
- 35:02Speaker 1: moment that the Iran war never took place this year,
- 35:06Speaker 1: that there's nothing. Would we still be suffering a diesel
- 35:10Speaker 1: crisis right now?
- 35:12Speaker 3: It wouldn't be as acute, but we would definitely be
- 35:15Speaker 3: in problems because Diesel prices, oil prices are a global commodity.
- 35:20Speaker 3: We can wish them otherwise, but they are. And I
- 35:25Speaker 3: compare it to things like wheat prices or gold prices
- 35:28Speaker 3: or other things that are traded on the international market.
- 35:31Speaker 3: If gold is having a spike for whatever reason, and
- 35:35Speaker 3: I go to South Korea, gold isn't cheaper there. It's
- 35:39Speaker 3: the same exact price, right? And it's the same when
- 35:42Speaker 3: it comes to oil. So if you take what's happening
- 35:45Speaker 3: in Iran off out of the equation, Russia and Ukraine
- 35:49Speaker 3: have still destroyed 50 to 60 percent of each other's capacity.
- 35:52Speaker 3: Russia used to produce 10 million barrels of oil a day.
- 35:54Speaker 3: It's producing around 8.2 million.
- 35:57Speaker 2: Barrels a day.
- 35:58Speaker 3: That has an impact on global prices. Now, you can
- 36:01Speaker 3: say the Russian war, the Ukraine war is the good war,
- 36:05Speaker 3: which a lot of Democrats do. And they have their
- 36:07Speaker 3: little Ukraine flag on their Twitter bylines. That's fine. That's
- 36:13Speaker 3: another conversation. But you have to own the fact that
- 36:16Speaker 3: every time you give Zelensky weapons and he blows up
- 36:20Speaker 3: Russian oil refining capacity and vice versa, it is impacting
- 36:24Speaker 3: global prices 100%.
- 36:25Speaker 2: Wait, wait.
- 36:27Speaker 1: So you're saying that Chuck Schumer has responsibility for the
- 36:29Speaker 1: current state of diesel prices?
- 36:30Speaker 3: Crazy that war impacts energy prices. And you can't say
- 36:34Speaker 3: one war is good, another is bad. And I will
- 36:37Speaker 3: own that what the president is doing in Iran is
- 36:41Speaker 3: impacting prices, 100%. Be silly to deny it. I'm not
- 36:44Speaker 3: going to be like Abbie Normal and pretend, no, that's
- 36:46Speaker 3: just not true, Vince. That's not true.
- 36:49Speaker 2: 100%.
- 36:49Speaker 3: What we're doing in Iran is impacting oil prices and
- 36:52Speaker 3: diesel prices. But what's happening in Ukraine is also impacting
- 36:57Speaker 3: it tremendously. That is the impact of international war. And sadly,
- 37:03Speaker 3: the oil-producing countries are the ones that tend to be in.
- 37:05Speaker 2: War a lot.
- 37:06Speaker 1: You know, when we went through COVID, when we went
- 37:09Speaker 1: through the COVID period, I think people were stunned to
- 37:12Speaker 1: find out how dependent we were on other countries for
- 37:16Speaker 1: really critical resources, especially places like China and India. Suddenly,
- 37:20Speaker 1: you're realizing, we don't have access to medication? Why not? Oh,
- 37:23Speaker 1: it turns out it's all coming from overseas. or you
- 37:26Speaker 1: don't have access to all these various resources and materials,
- 37:29Speaker 1: where is it coming from? It's coming from China. And
- 37:31Speaker 1: you have this realization, you're like, holy crap, our national
- 37:34Speaker 1: security and our economy is really dependent on other countries.
- 37:37Speaker 1: That is not good. That is not good at all.
- 37:39Speaker 1: The same seems to be true of energy, because I
- 37:41Speaker 1: think a lot of Americans see what's happening right now
- 37:44Speaker 1: in places like Iran and in Russia and Ukraine, and
- 37:46Speaker 1: they're like, wait a second, we have energy right here
- 37:49Speaker 1: in America. Why is this impacting us to such a
- 37:53Speaker 1: great extent? when we have our own domestic energy, Daniel.
- 37:58Speaker 3: Yeah, it's the frustration of just having global oil markets,
- 38:02Speaker 3: but let's rewind just five years and you got a
- 38:05Speaker 3: really smart audience and they'll remember this.
- 38:08Speaker 2: But in May.
- 38:08Speaker 3: Of 2021, there was a cyber attack on the colonial pipeline,
- 38:13Speaker 3: which is a pipeline from the Gulf all up the
- 38:15Speaker 3: East Coast that brings an awful lot of oil to
- 38:19Speaker 3: the entire Eastern seaboard, right?
- 38:21Speaker 2: A lot of petroleum products. gasoline, et cetera. It was
- 38:28Speaker 2: shut down for five and a half days.
- 38:30Speaker 3: And if your audience remembers, and they do, there was
- 38:32Speaker 3: absolute bedlam, right?
- 38:35Speaker 2: Insanity.
- 38:36Speaker 3: People were lined up for hours and hours overnight. There
- 38:39Speaker 3: were fistfights at gas stations. The East-West Pipeline in Saudi
- 38:44Speaker 3: Arabia was shut down for three weeks, right? And that's
- 38:47Speaker 3: 10 times, 50 times bigger than the colonial pipelines. These
- 38:52Speaker 3: are huge international incidences that are happening on a daily
- 38:56Speaker 3: basis that are impacting prices. And so, yes, we need
- 39:00Speaker 3: a lot more domestic refining capacity. We need a lot
- 39:03Speaker 3: more production capacity to buffer us from international affairs, but
- 39:09Speaker 3: we're never going to be uncoupled from the world.
- 39:12Speaker 1: No, no, we're not. But I just think like, so
- 39:16Speaker 1: let me focus on diesel for a moment. I'm getting
- 39:18Speaker 1: some questions in the chat about this too. So this
- 39:20Speaker 1: is a smart question. Why is diesel disproportionately impacted? Why
- 39:25Speaker 1: are we seeing such a high price for diesel as
- 39:28Speaker 1: opposed to like regular unleaded fuel?
- 39:30Speaker 3: Diesel is the smallest quantity of the refined products that
- 39:35Speaker 3: comes out. It's just a pure supply issue. Certain types
- 39:39Speaker 3: of crude make better diesel or make more diesel, right?
- 39:43Speaker 2: No doubt.
- 39:44Speaker 3: The Keystone Pipeline was supposed to bring around 800,000 barrels
- 39:47Speaker 3: a day.
- 39:47Speaker 2: Remember, that got shut down. That would have been a.
- 39:50Speaker 3: Very pro-diesel crude production, right? What's coming from Venezuela is
- 39:55Speaker 3: good for diesel production. But if you take your barrel
- 39:58Speaker 3: of oil and you separate it into all the different
- 40:01Speaker 3: things that it can make, Diesel's just a small sliver.
- 40:04Speaker 3: And we use a lot of diesel, all of our
- 40:06Speaker 3: heavy machinery, all of our farm equipment, all of our
- 40:09Speaker 3: big trucks, a lot of just regular domestic, like household
- 40:13Speaker 3: vehicles now run on diesel as well.
- 40:16Speaker 2: So it's just a pure supply issue.
- 40:18Speaker 1: Well, yeah, don't we also use something, I mean, it's
- 40:21Speaker 1: pretty much, it's close to the same composition for home
- 40:24Speaker 1: heating oil, right?
- 40:26Speaker 3: Yeah, it's very similar, right? But it's the smallest amount.
- 40:30Speaker 3: When you have a regular barrel of crude, almost 50%
- 40:33Speaker 3: of it, around 48% of it is just regular gasoline. Yes,
- 40:37Speaker 3: the different blends. And then you throw in ethanol, which
- 40:41Speaker 3: is poison. But almost half of that is just regular,
- 40:44Speaker 3: what we call gasoline for your car. The rest of
- 40:47Speaker 3: it is all these other little products. What goes into ships, right?
- 40:51Speaker 3: Those big, huge tankers use a special product. Diesel is
- 40:55Speaker 3: a little bit. petrochemical products, plastics, et cetera, home heating oil, propane, right?
- 41:02Speaker 3: That all comes from the rest of it. So the
- 41:05Speaker 3: only way to increase the supply, and that's why people
- 41:08Speaker 3: like Milton Friedman call us supply-siders, the only way to
- 41:11Speaker 3: lower prices is to increase the supply.
- 41:13Speaker 2: It's not going to be government. It's not going to
- 41:15Speaker 2: be hoarding. It's not going to be banning imports.
- 41:19Speaker 3: The only way to lower prices is to increase supply,
- 41:21Speaker 3: and that's what we're trying to do but increasing diesel.
- 41:25Speaker 2: Supply is a five, six, seven, eight year proposition.
- 41:29Speaker 3: And we're 25 years behind the curve because of people
- 41:32Speaker 3: who have told us because of climate change, we can't
- 41:34Speaker 3: make these products.
- 41:35Speaker 1: This was the question. This is it. So we've got
- 41:38Speaker 1: Russia and Ukraine impacting global diesel prices in a huge
- 41:41Speaker 1: way because refinery capacity is being literally destroyed there. In
- 41:45Speaker 1: the United States, we've had Democrats who have been wielding
- 41:49Speaker 1: their power to handicap our ability to even process it
- 41:52Speaker 1: in the country. Can you walk me through that? What
- 41:55Speaker 1: have Democrats done to refinery capacity in America?
- 41:59Speaker 3: Best example is she was the former Interior Secretary. She's
- 42:03Speaker 3: now running for governor of New Mexico. She probably, like
- 42:06Speaker 3: a lot of blue governors in blue states, is going
- 42:10Speaker 3: to win because she just has to hide in her basement.
- 42:13Speaker 3: But former Interior Secretary Deb Haaland, she was Interior Secretary
- 42:17Speaker 3: for the whole Biden administration. You can look at every
- 42:19Speaker 3: time she testified before Congress, her answer was.
- 42:22Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't know. She just played dumb
- 42:24Speaker 2: for four straight years.
- 42:26Speaker 3: But when it comes to oil production, for example, by law,
- 42:30Speaker 3: federal land has quarterly lease sales, right? So if you're
- 42:33Speaker 3: ExxonMobil and you want access to land to drill, you
- 42:37Speaker 3: go to the quarterly sales. We would get to the
- 42:39Speaker 3: quarterly sales, which are mandated by law. And Deb Haaland,
- 42:43Speaker 3: who is half Native American, would say- They kept telling
- 42:47Speaker 3: us that. indigenous knowledge has told me we can't have
- 42:51Speaker 3: a lease sale today.
- 42:52Speaker 2: And that was that. Wash your hand.
- 42:54Speaker 3: These are multi-billion dollar sales that you are putting all
- 42:59Speaker 3: of your prospective business efforts into. And then she pulls
- 43:04Speaker 3: out the rug from under you and she says, because
- 43:06Speaker 3: I was burning sage last night, no lease sales. How
- 43:09Speaker 3: the hell do you run a multi-trillion dollar industry If
- 43:12Speaker 3: that is the, if that is the, you know, what
- 43:14Speaker 3: stopped her was Doug Burgum, who's the current interior secretary.
- 43:18Speaker 3: He was governor of North Dakota. And finally, after the
- 43:20Speaker 3: second or third time said, okay, what's this? We're stopping this.
- 43:23Speaker 1: Wait, wait, wait, wait. That was really, that was her rationale.
- 43:26Speaker 1: She was spreading entrails out on the floor and then
- 43:28Speaker 1: saying that that resulted in us not having oil.
- 43:31Speaker 3: This is not me being hyperbolic for, for clicks and likes.
- 43:35Speaker 3: This was her rationale. Interior indigenous knowledge has told me
- 43:41Speaker 3: there will be no lease sales. And we were supposed
- 43:43Speaker 3: to accept.
- 43:43Speaker 2: That, right?
- 43:44Speaker 3: Go to CVS and ask for your prescription and have
- 43:47Speaker 3: the Native American pharmacist say, indigenous knowledge has told me, Vince,
- 43:51Speaker 3: you're not going to get your prescription today.
- 43:53Speaker 2: See how much that lasts, right? How did that work?
- 43:56Speaker 1: I believe they call those medicine men. I think that's
- 43:59Speaker 1: what that was known as. That's crazy. That's super crazy.
- 44:02Speaker 1: Can you imagine?
- 44:03Speaker 2: And that's just one small example. You had four years
- 44:06Speaker 2: of that.
- 44:06Speaker 3: You had four years of The BLM secretary, Bureau of
- 44:09Speaker 3: Land Management, Tracy Stone Manning, shutting down lease sales.
- 44:13Speaker 2: You had four years.
- 44:14Speaker 3: Of the EPA, the former EPA administrator, Michael Regan, putting
- 44:19Speaker 3: everyone out of business because we've changed the rules. You
- 44:22Speaker 3: don't have enough African-Americans on your board of directors. Well,
- 44:25Speaker 3: now under racial justice or environmental justice, you don't meet
- 44:30Speaker 3: the new criteria. You have to shut down for a
- 44:32Speaker 3: couple of weeks.
- 44:33Speaker 1: So what you're describing people of color, what you're describing,
- 44:36Speaker 1: if let's just pretend that we didn't have these whack
- 44:38Speaker 1: jobs in charge and we had a like a very
- 44:41Speaker 1: productive and prolific energy environment in the United States that
- 44:44Speaker 1: wasn't handicapped by them. that would equip us to be
- 44:47Speaker 1: able to better handle national security threats, wouldn't it? In
- 44:49Speaker 1: other words, if President Trump says, I want to stop
- 44:53Speaker 1: Iran from having a nuke, and he goes in the
- 44:55Speaker 1: way he did, then we'd be fully insulated from any
- 44:59Speaker 1: of this chaos if Democrats hadn't screwed us over in
- 45:02Speaker 1: the first place. 100%.
- 45:03Speaker 3: And you have to liken this to someone like Eisenhower,
- 45:07Speaker 3: who built the highway system with the vision of where
- 45:10Speaker 3: we were headed, I'm sure I wasn't alive. You weren't
- 45:13Speaker 3: alive either. But I'm sure there were people in the
- 45:16Speaker 3: 50s who were like, what the hell are we doing?
- 45:17Speaker 3: Why are we building this road in the middle of nowhere?
- 45:20Speaker 3: But he saw where the puck was going, right? When
- 45:23Speaker 3: it comes to energy, that's what we need. We need
- 45:25Speaker 3: to think about where is America going to be in 5, 10,
- 45:28Speaker 3: 15 years? Because that's how long these projects take. That's
- 45:32Speaker 3: the pernicious result of Joe Biden canceling Keystone. It's not
- 45:37Speaker 3: that we don't have these 800,000 barrels now when we
- 45:38Speaker 3: need them. but it told everyone, don't plan a 10-year project, right?
- 45:45Speaker 3: Who's gonna open a new Keystone? And if you're Gavin Newsom,
- 45:49Speaker 3: the first thing you're gonna do is campaign against it.
- 45:51Speaker 2: When I'm elected president, I will shut that down.
- 45:54Speaker 3: Well, hell, I'm not gonna drop $ 10 billion in a
- 45:57Speaker 3: multi-year project if Gavin Newsom is gonna campaign on closing it.
- 46:02Speaker 3: So we're not doing energy of where the ball is going,
- 46:05Speaker 3: where the puck is going. We're doing energy right now
- 46:09Speaker 3: And that's hurting us. Now, the president's trying to stop that,
- 46:11Speaker 3: of course, but it's got a lot of forces lined
- 46:14Speaker 3: up against him.
- 46:14Speaker 1: Okay, I'm going to ask you about where the future's going,
- 46:16Speaker 1: because I have seen some positive headlines. I want to
- 46:18Speaker 1: bounce off you and see what you think. But one
- 46:21Speaker 1: more thing on this. When you hear Democrats trying to
- 46:24Speaker 1: make campaign ads right now, attacking Donald Trump for energy prices,
- 46:29Speaker 1: what do you think?
- 46:31Speaker 2: It's easy, right? And it's smart. It's not good. It's
- 46:35Speaker 2: not honest. It's not ethical.
- 46:36Speaker 3: But it is smart politics. because he's the ultimate foil, right?
- 46:40Speaker 3: So if you're Kathy Hochul, the governor of New York,
- 46:42Speaker 3: if you're Maura Healey, the governor of Massachusetts, you can
- 46:45Speaker 3: point to Donald Trump and say, you know why electricity
- 46:48Speaker 3: is up 45%? Because of Donald Trump. Well, Donald Trump's
- 46:52Speaker 3: tried to bring a lot of natural gas pipelines from
- 46:55Speaker 3: the Marcellus region in PA, but you are blocking them, right?
- 46:58Speaker 3: You can't build a pipeline across New York. Fracking is
- 47:01Speaker 3: illegal in New York state, thanks to Andrew Cuomo, right?
- 47:04Speaker 3: So- You're not doing what is necessary to lower prices,
- 47:08Speaker 3: but you don't have to. You just point to Donald
- 47:10Speaker 3: Trump and say that's the guilty party. Gavin Newsom shut
- 47:13Speaker 3: down three refineries in California. I can't have anyone talk
- 47:16Speaker 3: to me about diesel prices when we have shut down
- 47:19Speaker 3: three viable refineries in California under climate change. And what
- 47:25Speaker 3: does he do as a response? He goes to the
- 47:27Speaker 3: UN and brags and talks about how we're leading the
- 47:30Speaker 3: charge on climate change.
- 47:32Speaker 2: How is he not responsible for diesel prices?
- 47:35Speaker 1: Exactly. If you create a crisis, you're responsible for it. Okay,
- 47:39Speaker 1: let me get to the future now. I have seen,
- 47:43Speaker 1: I know as of last week, Friday, 22 million barrels
- 47:46Speaker 1: of oil moved through the Strait of Hormuz. That's a
- 47:48Speaker 1: big deal when the average before that, it was 20
- 47:52Speaker 1: million a day before the war started. The numbers on
- 47:56Speaker 1: the amount of oil seem to be going up pretty dramatically.
- 47:58Speaker 1: The media a little hesitant to share that information. A
- 48:02Speaker 1: lot of it's not even transiting through the Strait, apparently.
- 48:04Speaker 1: A lot of it's coming through pipelines now that is
- 48:07Speaker 1: taking it away from that region. And then, of course,
- 48:10Speaker 1: the president just secured this massive oil deal for 65
- 48:13Speaker 1: billion barrels in Venezuela. As you're looking at all of
- 48:17Speaker 1: the gathering news about what's happening with energy right now,
- 48:20Speaker 1: what do you anticipate?
- 48:22Speaker 3: I am very optimistic about the future because we're putting
- 48:26Speaker 3: in place the right policies. What I'm nervous about, and
- 48:29Speaker 3: not even the midterms, the midterms, the Democrats, even if
- 48:32Speaker 3: they win both chambers, and I don't think they will,
- 48:34Speaker 3: quite frankly, I'm not a pessimist, but even if they
- 48:38Speaker 3: win both chambers, they're not going to have the ability
- 48:40Speaker 3: to stop our energy agenda. They'll just subpoena people like
- 48:43Speaker 3: me nonstop and make lives miserable. What I'm nervous about
- 48:47Speaker 3: is 2028 because it's the same, the best analogy is,
- 48:51Speaker 3: that caravan that's mounting right now in Honduras coming north,
- 48:56Speaker 3: they're looking at 2028. And they're going to say, we'll
- 48:59Speaker 3: just camp on the border. And if Gavin Newsom wins
- 49:02Speaker 3: the next day, the day of inaugural, the doors are open.
- 49:06Speaker 2: And that's when we're going to enter. So for our energy.
- 49:11Speaker 3: Prospects to work, we need a couple of sustained years
- 49:15Speaker 3: and not this ping pong of every four years. Trump
- 49:19Speaker 3: got us out of a ditch in 2016, 2017. Biden
- 49:23Speaker 3: put us back in the ditch. We're still getting in
- 49:26Speaker 3: the ditch. And we've got Republicans talking about polishing the fender.
- 49:29Speaker 3: There's no reason to clean the car. There's no reason
- 49:31Speaker 3: to wash and buff it. Get the damn car out
- 49:34Speaker 3: of the ditch. We're not even close to getting out
- 49:36Speaker 3: of the ditch yet. But You know, we got the pulleys,
- 49:39Speaker 3: we got the jack, we got the muscle. Let's work
- 49:43Speaker 3: and get to the stage that we can make things
- 49:45Speaker 3: shiny and new. We're not there yet, but we can
- 49:48Speaker 3: be if we keep the right people in office.
- 49:50Speaker 1: We got to do that. Thank you, Daniel Turner with
- 49:52Speaker 1: Power of the Future. Thank you, as always, for your perspective.
- 49:54Speaker 1: I always rely on you for that. Thank you, sir.
- 49:56Speaker 2: Have a great weekend, Vince. God bless you.
- 49:57Speaker 1: Appreciate you. There's Daniel Turner again, Power of the Future,
- 49:59Speaker 1: with a good explainer on what's going on with energy
- 50:03Speaker 1: right now. And these Democrats, they're total culpability. for leaving
- 50:08Speaker 1: America in a ditch. And this idea, as we head
- 50:11Speaker 1: to the midterms, this nonsense about, oh, we've got to
- 50:15Speaker 1: elect Democrats. This is going to make things better. Better?
- 50:19Speaker 1: James Talofrico and company have promised to destroy the American
- 50:23Speaker 1: energy industry. In fact, Talofrico, his position on this subject
- 50:30Speaker 1: is crystal clear. He wants to destroy what he calls
- 50:35Speaker 1: fossil fuels. He says that they've been destroying the planet.
- 50:38Speaker 1: And lately, he's been making noises like, oh, actually, I
- 50:42Speaker 1: support energy. He's running in Texas. This is why he, quote,
- 50:45Speaker 1: has to say this. He's lying. And this is driving
- 50:50Speaker 1: places like NBC crazy. NBC, which hasn't been given the
- 50:55Speaker 1: talking points that they that Talafrico's lies need to stand
- 50:58Speaker 1: unopposed right now. They're grumpy about this. There's an actual
- 51:01Speaker 1: piece up from NBC in the last 24 hours. They
- 51:03Speaker 1: say in 2022, James Tallarico vowed to take on the
- 51:08Speaker 1: fossil fuel industry after Texas's deadly power grid failure. By
- 51:12Speaker 1: the way, that the power grid failure was the result
- 51:14Speaker 1: of green energy. It was literally the result of the Democrats. Now,
- 51:18Speaker 1: in a high stakes Senate race, he is drifting from
- 51:22Speaker 1: that promise. And you know what they're upset about? that
- 51:24Speaker 1: apparently a couple of people who are gainfully employed in
- 51:28Speaker 1: the energy industry have made donations to James Talafrico's campaign. Now,
- 51:32Speaker 1: that is a suicidal thing to do. Do not give
- 51:34Speaker 1: money to James Talafrico's campaign if you're in the energy industry.
- 51:37Speaker 1: If you'd like your job, you won't be able to
- 51:39Speaker 1: keep it if Talafrico has power over your life. So
- 51:42Speaker 1: don't do that. That's suicidal. But NBC's upset. And NBC
- 51:46Speaker 1: wants to know, are you going to give the money
- 51:48Speaker 1: back to the fossil fuel people? And Talafrico's campaign is
- 51:51Speaker 1: right now saying, no, no, we're not giving it back.
- 51:54Speaker 1: We stand for an all of the above energy strategy.
- 51:56Speaker 1: We support the energy industry in Texas. It's a lie.
- 52:01Speaker 1: He's lying. lying, which is, of course, what he does.
- 52:04Speaker 1: He lies. He's lying for political expedience. In fact, take
- 52:09Speaker 1: a look here. I've got another clip of him on
- 52:12Speaker 1: this subject. He's been really candid, you know, in other
- 52:15Speaker 1: situations when he wasn't running for U.S.
- 52:17Speaker 2: Senate.
- 52:18Speaker 1: Here he is, cut nine, saying, it's time to transition
- 52:20Speaker 1: away from so-called fossil fuels. We got to get rid
- 52:22Speaker 1: of them.
- 52:23Speaker 2: Watch.
- 52:24Speaker 8: I think the thing that frustrates me is the false equivalency, right?
- 52:27Speaker 8: We say, well, no, no introduced source is perfect.
- 52:30Speaker 2: They all flawed.
- 52:31Speaker 8: Except renewables maybe are more variable, but then fossil fuels
- 52:37Speaker 8: are destroying the planet.
- 52:39Speaker 2: And so it's like, are those two things on equal footing, right?
- 52:44Speaker 8: I guess my only point is I want Texas to
- 52:45Speaker 8: be number one in renewables going forward in the 21st century, right?
- 52:49Speaker 8: Right now it feels a little bit like we're the
- 52:52Speaker 8: number one supplier of cassette tapes in 1988, right? It's
- 52:56Speaker 8: time to transition because that's not gonna last very long.
- 53:00Speaker 2: I guess I just don't know where.
- 53:01Speaker 8: The hostility comes from in trying to figure out a safer, cleaner,
- 53:05Speaker 8: greener path.
- 53:07Speaker 1: He's all about transitioning, that guy. Boys can become girls
- 53:10Speaker 1: and Texas can't have good energy. Everything is transitioning with
- 53:13Speaker 1: this dude. Everything. He's a freak. He's a freak. And
- 53:17Speaker 1: in fact, he's even said that if you believe that
- 53:22Speaker 1: the gift that God has given us of this prolific
- 53:26Speaker 1: energy under the earth, if you believe that you should
- 53:29Speaker 1: access it, You're not a Christian. You can't call yourself
- 53:33Speaker 1: a Christian and fill the tank of your car with
- 53:37Speaker 1: unleaded gasoline. Don't believe me? Here's Talafrico saying that very thing.
- 53:42Speaker 1: Cut 10, watch.
- 53:44Speaker 8: You can't call yourself a Christian and destroy God's creation
- 53:49Speaker 8: with greenhouse gases.
- 53:52Speaker 1: You can't call yourself a Christian and drive an SUV.
- 53:55Speaker 1: You can't call yourself a Christian and heat your home
- 53:59Speaker 1: with gas. You can't call yourself a Christian and have
- 54:03Speaker 1: a prolific economy using the blessings that God has given us.
- 54:07Speaker 1: Can't call yourself a Christian. He's very judgy about whether
- 54:10Speaker 1: or not you can be a Christian. Meanwhile, his church
- 54:11Speaker 1: is teaching that Jesus maybe didn't exist. If he did exist,
- 54:15Speaker 1: he didn't die for us and that the resurrection probably
- 54:18Speaker 1: didn't happen at all. And yet he's telling you whether
- 54:20Speaker 1: or not you're a Christian based on whether you fill
- 54:22Speaker 1: your car up with gas. This is crazy. This guy
- 54:25Speaker 1: can't become a United States Senator. He is, once again,
- 54:29Speaker 1: A freak, which, by the way, is exactly what Donald
- 54:32Speaker 1: Trump called him yesterday. Here's the president of the United
- 54:34Speaker 1: States in a great moment. Cut 11.
- 54:36Speaker 6: Ken was a great attorney general and he is a
- 54:41Speaker 6: great attorney general.
- 54:43Speaker 2: And the other guy is he's a freak. He's a
- 54:48Speaker 2: total freak. And you know what? The country can't have.
- 54:52Speaker 6: A negative vote like that. Whether they like him or
- 54:56Speaker 6: don't like him, if you like Texas and if you
- 54:59Speaker 6: love your country, you can't.
- 55:01Speaker 2: Give a vote to this mass.
- 55:03Speaker 6: Body of people, because bad things are going to happen
- 55:06Speaker 6: to our country.
- 55:07Speaker 2: Look at the borders in Texas. They had open borders.
- 55:09Speaker 2: They went through hell.
- 55:11Speaker 6: I came along.
- 55:12Speaker 2: They were closed in 60 days.
- 55:14Speaker 6: So we just had our 17th month where zero people
- 55:18Speaker 6: came in.
- 55:19Speaker 2: Hard to believe, actually.
- 55:21Speaker 6: Over a period of 17 months, we had zero illegal
- 55:23Speaker 6: aliens coming in.
- 55:27Speaker 1: You know something? Every time those lefties use the phrase transition,
- 55:31Speaker 1: I want you to substitute another word in your mind. Mutilate. mutilate.
- 55:38Speaker 1: They want to mutilate the American energy industry. They want
- 55:41Speaker 1: to mutilate children. They want to transition the border. They
- 55:45Speaker 1: want to mutilate the border. That's always the plan. They
- 55:50Speaker 1: want to mutilate what's normal. What's normal. They're agents of chaos.
- 55:58Speaker 1: And it doesn't matter what kind of utterances they're making
- 56:01Speaker 1: right now. You know it instinctively. You know it in
- 56:04Speaker 1: your gut. that Talafrico is lying to you right now. Oh,
- 56:09Speaker 1: he suddenly had a realization that there are two genders?
- 56:13Speaker 1: He's a liar. He's a liar. And that person, someone
- 56:17Speaker 1: who's that completely dishonest with that kind of a poisonous
- 56:23Speaker 1: background should be nowhere near the United States Senate at all.
- 56:26Speaker 1: And we've got just over a month to handle this,
- 56:28Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. We've got to handle it. We've got
- 56:31Speaker 1: to keep these guys away, and we have to make
- 56:32Speaker 1: America great again. We'll keep working on that mission. I've
- 56:35Speaker 1: got a lot more to get to on this subject
