- Gary: We can become so attached to thinking of ourselves as good people that we stop examining whether we are doing good. I am a caring man, okay? Where is that care showing up? I put my family first. Does your calendar reflect that? My faith is important to me. What has it moved you to do for someone else? Don't answer those questions with what you intended. Look at what you practiced. The way you look on the outside is a direct reflection of what is happening on the inside. Look at the way you show up, your patience, your generosity, your willingness to follow through when helping becomes inconvenient. Tabitha's This Story gives us a picture of faith expressed through ordinary, useful acts of love. You do not need a platform to do that. You need to notice a need and respond with what you have. Today, choose one practical act of care. Bring someone a meal. Give your child your undivided attention. Help with a task that you know someone is struggling to handle. Do something that makes another person's burden a little bit lighter.
