- 0:34All right, God bless you. For all those that have been
- 0:37listening, thank you. For those that are new, thank
- 0:39you very much. Share, subscribe, all that stuff
- 0:43before we start. We always pray.
- 0:45So I'll lead us and pray. All right.
- 0:48All right, Lord, thank you for allowing us to be here, Guide us
- 0:52and lead us into the absolute truth for whatever it is that
- 0:56You want us to speak about. May we learn something for the
- 1:01moments that we learn things. It is an honor and a blessing.
- 1:06And then I know it's only to get closer to you.
- 1:08So guide us and lead us into the absolute truth.
- 1:11Amen. Amen.
- 1:12Amen. Amen.
- 1:15All right, so today we have someone here, young kid.
- 1:21Absolutely. And he's actually here before he
- 1:26goes off to college and he's gonna go play D1 soccer.
- 1:31Pretty cool. So introduce yourself.
- 1:34Oh, yeah. So my name is Jacob Marquez.
- 1:37I'm 18 years old. I've grown up with these two
- 1:41unfortunately, but. Why unfortunate?
- 1:45Unfortunate. Damn bro, I think he's going to
- 1:48say fortunate. Yeah, fortunate.
- 1:49Yeah, not favour. I've learned a lot growing up
- 1:52next to these guys. But but yeah, like you said, I'm
- 1:55about to leave to College in less than a week, start a new
- 1:58journey. It's going to be interesting.
- 1:59But I just I just finished high school.
- 2:02And isn't that isn't that crazy? Yeah, yeah.
- 2:04Wow, he's just finishing school. Isn't that crazy, yo?
- 2:07I feel like, I feel like I was in Nora's arc.
- 2:11No, it's a whole day. No, no.
- 2:14I mean seeing, for example, my brother is what, the same age as
- 2:17you? Pretty much, right.
- 2:18Yeah. So it's funny because when I was
- 2:22that age, I thought I was grown and then people my age would see
- 2:26me as little kid. And then now I'm this age and I
- 2:29see you and I, I see you as a little kid.
- 2:32So. And I guess it's always going to
- 2:33be like that, always going to be like that.
- 2:36Like what? Like, for example, our parents,
- 2:39we could be like 50-60 years old and they can be like really old
- 2:448090. They'll still see us as a little
- 2:46kid. Yeah, no matter what.
- 2:48Yeah, so that is true. Yeah, it's crazy.
- 2:50And retrospect, yes I am older than him so he is a kid right
- 2:55Comparison to me You are technically.
- 2:58Also, I'm like what 1312? I think so.
- 3:03I'm 35, you're, yeah, 34. So 11 years.
- 3:07Yeah, yeah, yeah. 11 years. So a decade.
- 3:10Yes, Yeah, it is a decade. That is a decade, yeah.
- 3:14So yeah, man, but I've always said wisdom does not come with
- 3:18age. I agree.
- 3:19OK, I totally agree. Knowledge comes with age, of
- 3:22course. Does experience Exactly.
- 3:23I've seen an older person sees more than a younger person, yes.
- 3:26But wisdom does not come with age.
- 3:28No, it doesn't. You know what people on earth,
- 3:32people that have no relationship with God, they say some things
- 3:34that are like interesting that you can learn from.
- 3:37Of course you can. You can learn from people in the
- 3:38world too, absolutely. But this wisdom that we we
- 3:42acquire, it's different comes from God.
- 3:44It's something where you cannot, it cannot be taught by man, but
- 3:48it comes from God directly so. But I'm sorry to interrupt you,
- 3:53you're saying like so. He's going to college.
- 3:55Yeah. How's that for you?
- 3:56How's that feel? It's a weird feeling, honestly.
- 3:59Everybody always talks about it like when they're in that stage,
- 4:01they're like, oh, like you don't really know how to feel.
- 4:04And I always thought like, it's just going to be like I'm
- 4:06leaving, so whatever. But like, it's a really weird
- 4:08feeling because I'm, I'm like saying goodbye to so many things
- 4:11at the same time, like like club soccer, I've been playing my
- 4:14whole life, like my friends that I've grown up with my whole life
- 4:17and living in the same house. But I'm also like really excited
- 4:20to say like introduce myself to a lot of different things, like
- 4:23playing college soccer, you know, like taking college
- 4:25courses and all these things. So it's like a really
- 4:27bittersweet feeling. Yeah, but for you it's going to
- 4:29be different because you're not just going to college to party
- 4:33like others would. Yeah, like the you you're you're
- 4:36going to college, but you're you're also in a team.
- 4:39You're playing for a soccer team if you want soccer team.
- 4:41So you're still essentially you're still working.
- 4:44Oh yeah, you're not like, oh, I'm good classes, you know, I'm
- 4:49sure in the weekend you have your time of like of de stress,
- 4:53but you're still going to be playing, you're still going to
- 4:55be training. You're still going to be
- 4:57essentially just working. Yeah, for sure.
- 5:00It's it's a lot more pressure too, because it's like before
- 5:03even like if you're a freshman year, if you don't play, you
- 5:05could just red shirt. And so that meant like you can
- 5:07extend a year like if you don't play red shirt.
- 5:10So then you still have four more years of eligibility, but now
- 5:13they made it so that it's like a clock.
- 5:14So like the psyche, you turn 18, you have five years to play as
- 5:17much as you can. So it's like now you have more
- 5:19pressure to actually play your freshman year because if you
- 5:21don't then you're just wasting your on that clock.
- 5:24Really. Yeah.
- 5:25So what? Like, so this is just a little
- 5:27bit so everybody knows. Whoever's listening, they get to
- 5:30know you. By the way, he is a family
- 5:32member of mine. Yes.
- 5:34He's my cousin. You know, it's funny.
- 5:35We brought my cousins here. We have yet to bring.
- 5:39No, we have yet to bring your cousin.
- 5:42We bring him. Oh my God, dude, we got to.
- 5:43Be. Ready all of.
- 5:44Them we bring all of them. Just be ready.
- 5:46Yeah, just be. Ready.
- 5:47I would love to have Andrew. Oh, I want to get his, his, his
- 5:51retrospect of animals. Very smart kid.
- 5:55Yeah, yeah, nice smart kid. So yeah.
- 5:59Yeah. So you're, so how does that
- 6:00work? I mean, are you going to start
- 6:01playing with the team, yes, right away or is that?
- 6:05So I leave on Tuesday, we start like captain's practice for one
- 6:08week and then that's then after that week the coaches get
- 6:12involved. We start training.
- 6:14You train 2 * 2 * a day. So you train before the sun
- 6:17rises and then you train after the sunsets and then usually you
- 6:21have a run in between like depending on the day and lifts
- 6:25as well and then. You're while having classes.
- 6:27Yeah, while having classes and then you're also on a, on a
- 6:29nutrition plan, obviously. They put you on a nutrition
- 6:32plan. And do they supply the nutrition
- 6:34stuff? Yeah, so like not every school
- 6:36has. It so you expected to to even
- 6:38lose more weight. Yeah, you just got to stay at a
- 6:40certain amount of body fat. I think it's like.
- 6:42There's a, there's a. Oh, OK, yeah.
- 6:44Like depends on your height and they test yourself.
- 6:46Yeah yeah. Oh wow.
- 6:47Test your VO2. Max.
- 6:48What? That's crazy.
- 6:48They have some super condition to that point.
- 6:50That's what I mean, yeah. I mean, because schools they
- 6:53make money off of like, athletes, right?
- 6:54Yeah. So they got to keep them in top
- 6:56shape. Yeah.
- 6:57So. That's crazy.
- 6:58They. Test our VO2 Max, our body fat.
- 6:59Yeah. But yeah, like not every school
- 7:02has it, but like, luckily it's a big blessing.
- 7:04My school has like an athlete only dining hall, so it's like
- 7:06all organic food. Like what?
- 7:09Like you got there, you got whatever you want cook like you
- 7:12pull up for breakfast you can ask for like an omelette.
- 7:14You want an. Omelette, but it'll be clean.
- 7:16Yeah, it's clean. Organic like, only for athletes.
- 7:18Like the normal dining hall, you don't really get stuff.
- 7:20Cooked like straight up whole food bro.
- 7:22Bro, So like the only reason we have that is because we have, we
- 7:24have a big football team and like that's like the biggest
- 7:26thing here in the US. So like if you have a big
- 7:28football. Team like American football,
- 7:29Yeah. Yeah, like a football team, you
- 7:30got a big, like a big pot of money to use.
- 7:33So we get athlete only they. Gotta use it, yeah.
- 7:36What is it like a tax write off? Type no?
- 7:39Or is it just in? College College essentially is a
- 7:41nonprofit. Okay, so they like donors, they
- 7:44just get. Money bro.
- 7:45Really. From who?
- 7:46Donors, people like. For example, let's say, let's
- 7:48say I, I become an alumni from ODU, like I'm going to Old
- 7:52Dominion University by the way, but like let's say I graduate
- 7:54from there and then and then I'm, I'm studying finance.
- 7:58So if I find a good job in finance, they're making a lot of
- 7:59money. You can donate.
- 8:00I want to donate technically for.
- 8:02My tax finals, but if I just. Want to donate to donate because
- 8:04like, obviously I like after you're spending four years
- 8:07there, you're going to have a strong passion for the program.
- 8:08I'm going to get money back. But anybody can donate too.
- 8:11Anybody can donate, but like, football is massive.
- 8:13So like all the football donors, they donate like, like I'm
- 8:16talking like they have like $60 million budget.
- 8:18No way. That's.
- 8:20Ridiculous. So if if an athlete makes
- 8:23history in school, it's like huge.
- 8:25It's a big deal, yeah. It's AD one school, so that's a
- 8:27big deal. Yeah, yeah.
- 8:28Wow. We play in like a really, we
- 8:29play in like the second most competitive conference.
- 8:31Wow. In soccer or or or also
- 8:34football? In soccer, football is it?
- 8:36Football is like different. Football has like different
- 8:38conferences, but in football it's like the SEC, which is a
- 8:41Southern Eastern Conference, and then we play in the Sunbelt
- 8:44Conference, which is like US, Kentucky, South Carolina,
- 8:47Coastal Carolina, University of Central Florida, University of
- 8:50Southern. Florida.
- 8:51Wow, that is really West Virginia.
- 8:53Yeah, seems like it's going to be an eventful.
- 8:56Wow. Four years.
- 8:57Yeah, yeah. Yeah, you're pretty much, you're
- 9:00going to a school that many kids, many high schoolers would,
- 9:04would dream of. Yeah.
- 9:06So well. That's tricky, because dreaming
- 9:08is just dreaming. What what I mean is.
- 9:11Because what if someone does, you know the reps is what you
- 9:14want to call. It.
- 9:15Yeah, yeah, yeah. They put in the work.
- 9:16Yeah, Inevitably. Are you gonna you're gonna gland
- 9:21someone? No, absolutely.
- 9:22I mean, I'm, I'm speaking for like, let's say no, you're
- 9:25right, you're right. The reps do.
- 9:27The ones dreaming are the ones who never did anything.
- 9:28He's never. Yeah, you're right.
- 9:29You're. Right.
- 9:30Oh, I see. But what about those that get
- 9:32injured too? You know, like the ones that get
- 9:34injured. It's never meant to be.
- 9:35Just gotta suck it up. That's how I see it.
- 9:37I mean, I played soccer and I broke my knee playing it.
- 9:39Yeah, I never played again. Yeah, I have another cousin of
- 9:42ours. Weldon, his name is.
- 9:44Well, he broke his knee playing, so he's still playing.
- 9:45He's crazy. Yeah, he's doing that.
- 9:47But he destroyed his knee. Really.
- 9:49So he's mad for life. Shattered.
- 9:51Straight up shattered. Damn, yeah.
- 9:53Yeah, yeah. So you know, like, so that's
- 9:57that's the thing we didn't know, but we would play like if it was
- 9:59our last game, right. You know what?
- 10:02I. Mean no, I mean, yeah, I get it.
- 10:04I get it when you're obsessed with a sport like that or you.
- 10:07Or is it just? I mean, I'm not trying to be
- 10:09like, like, I just say if if someone gets hurt like that
- 10:12Canadian, for example, that Canadian player that you saw his
- 10:15leg dangle, Oh yeah. What does that look like for
- 10:17him? Can he play soccer again?
- 10:20I I think he could have just it's like.
- 10:22I mean, you saw it really. Like the skin was the one
- 10:24keeping it together. He would have to invest a lot of
- 10:26money. Into it, right, I had a my best
- 10:29friend from school, He's actually also very Christian.
- 10:31But my best friend's from school in 7th grade, like we were,
- 10:35we've always been at like the set like the same level, but he
- 10:38lived in like the town where we went to high school and I
- 10:40didn't. So the high school coach is a
- 10:43gym teacher at their middle school.
- 10:45So he knew him, and he would invite him to practice with the
- 10:47high school kid. And one time he was practicing
- 10:49with the high school kids, four or five years older, and they
- 10:52went in. They didn't want him there.
- 10:54So they went in on a hard tackle.
- 10:56They snapped his ankle, and the bone was hanging out of his
- 10:58thing like that to cut his cleats off.
- 11:00No way. And yeah, now he's committed to
- 11:02play soccer just like me. His name's Tim.
- 11:05Wow, he like snapped his ankle. Yeah, his ankle, like he broke
- 11:08his foot. His ankle was like popping out.
- 11:10It was really bad. Dang, he's still playing?
- 11:13Yeah, and he's playing and he's like just as.
- 11:15Good As I tore my IC O, my other cousin shattered his head.
- 11:18He doesn't even exist. It's metal.
- 11:20It's just metal. It's.
- 11:21Just metal, yeah. Yeah, yeah.
- 11:23So. It really just depends on a lot
- 11:25of it is just like a mentality thing, like if you want to get
- 11:27back, you find a way to get back.
- 11:29Like it might take a long time, but like for example, that
- 11:31Canadian guy, he might not play. Like he used to, but he can
- 11:35still. Play like he used to and he
- 11:36might not play for a year, 2 years.
- 11:38He might take a year and a half to recover, come back and then
- 11:40get hurt the first game again and then then.
- 11:44What I guess is if you love the game, it's certainly all you got
- 11:46to keep going then, right? Yeah.
- 11:48I mean, I liked it, but it wasn't like that for me.
- 11:51Like. Right, right, right.
- 11:52You know, yeah, but I guess if you love.
- 11:54It now what about you? What about you with music like
- 11:57we got when when you had cancer and got took that away from you?
- 12:00Like singing. I Can't Sing anymore.
- 12:02Like did that. No, I didn't.
- 12:04Did. You did you want to get back
- 12:06into it or not? I mean, I was going to vocal
- 12:07therapy, they would literally put these things in and shock
- 12:10my, my vocal, my vocal cord nerves.
- 12:13Yeah, that like they would shock them because it's just they
- 12:17were, I don't know, weak. And I mean each session was
- 12:21$250. Really.
- 12:24The first three sessions is the insurance covered it, but yeah,
- 12:27yeah, I wasn't going to continue paying 250.
- 12:30It's like it's not even worth it.
- 12:31I'm not going to become a Grammy winning.
- 12:33We're like to at least to my to realistically, right, right.
- 12:37But I can still speak. The doctor said, hey, listen, we
- 12:40did our best so that you can speak all this.
- 12:44That's for me, because with the voice I can speak about God's
- 12:46Word. Yeah, that's plenty.
- 12:48There you go. That's it, you know.
- 12:50I can sing, but it it still hurts.
- 12:52Yeah, it tightens. Uh huh.
- 12:54Because dude, they cut my whole neck.
- 12:55Yeah, yeah, yeah, I remember. I can still play Sox, that's not
- 12:58a problem. I can still play piano all yeah,
- 13:00I just Can't Sing. Yeah, Remember that picture we
- 13:03were watching? It was like a while back but he
- 13:06lost his voice and in the middle of preaching.
- 13:09Yeah, I don't know if you ever saw that, that video, but he
- 13:11lost his voice. Like he lost it.
- 13:13Like, not that he lost it. It was.
- 13:14It was just like Riggy. Yeah, like Thor, like he had a
- 13:18throat cancer. He just never spoke.
- 13:20He would speak like. Yeah, yeah.
- 13:21Like that's how he would preach. In the middle of his preaching,
- 13:24right then and there, in real time, God heals his voice and he
- 13:28starts to speak and he starts crying and he just yeah, yeah,
- 13:30yeah, I just, yeah, you showed me that.
- 13:32Yeah, dude, that was crazy. No, I remember bro crazy.
- 13:35Anything is possible for God. It is.
- 13:37It is what God determines if it's in his will or not.
- 13:40Or not that is true what he speaks.
- 13:43Yeah, bro. Sometimes it's hard for us to
- 13:45accept that. It is.
- 13:46It's tough. It is tough.
- 13:48We. We live in a in a culture where
- 13:51like anything is possible, your dreams and goals and everything.
- 13:56From the very beginning, elementary school, they tell us
- 13:57what do you want to be when you grow up?
- 13:59It's a sia. They're setting us up, which
- 14:01it's good for society, for capitalism, and it sets us up to
- 14:05do a lot of. Things it does, yeah.
- 14:07But also simultaneously, if you then get to know God, that
- 14:11starts to be a like a friction. Attention there is been doing
- 14:15God, Yeah, because then perhaps maybe you're going to do things
- 14:18thinking that you're doing them for God, but they could end up
- 14:21just being for yourself. Yes, yeah.
- 14:23And we spoke about this before. Like, like ambition.
- 14:27I'm sorry. By the end of the day, when it
- 14:29comes to ambition, you will turn your back.
- 14:31Inevitably. Away from God, yeah.
- 14:34At first it seems harmless. It seems awesome.
- 14:37Yeah, it seems great. But you know, you're a young
- 14:39kid, man, you. Yeah, you're.
- 14:42Gonna learn these things as you go, but that's good man.
- 14:46Not a lot of kids play AD one. No, no, not a lot of kids.
- 14:51A lot of kids strive for it, but they never make it.
- 14:53Or at least in my first, my first time in my family.
- 14:56What is it I know? Your whole family is athletic
- 14:58bro, I mean you. Know what?
- 14:59Yeah. Yeah.
- 15:00Well, my parents, you know my parents, dude, I have no
- 15:03complaints. I can't complain.
- 15:04Yeah, they did their best to raise those.
- 15:06I have no complaint. But, you know, they were a
- 15:08little bit strict. They wouldn't let us play
- 15:10soccer. My brother was very, very good.
- 15:13He was a good striker, that was his position, but you know there
- 15:16was no support but that's fine, what are you going to do?
- 15:18Yeah, he's fine now. He's.
- 15:21Fine. Yeah, he's fine.
- 15:21Yeah. Yeah, he's fine.
- 15:22But you know it's. But you know.
- 15:24Some people hold resentment to that.
- 15:27I guess so, but my brother's fine.
- 15:28Yeah, she's. Like she's a sport or you.
- 15:31Know, but yeah, everybody for the most part, yeah, I guess
- 15:34given the chance and if they would have taken it seriously,
- 15:36yeah, maybe. Yeah.
- 15:38Yeah, I'm not saying. Opportunities are not bad.
- 15:42Also, too, in our family, it's it's everybody's competitive,
- 15:46really. I don't know if you noticed that
- 15:48that's a thing. Everybody's competitive.
- 15:51It's an overture where there's nothing wrong with that.
- 15:53Yeah, yeah. That can essentially backstab
- 15:55you at some point. But everybody's competitive.
- 15:58Yes, it's a thing. Yeah, yeah.
- 15:59I don't know if that's a thing in your family, but that's a
- 16:01thing here. My dad's side of the family,
- 16:05yeah. Because I believe you're they're
- 16:06Yeah, they're very ambitious. And they have businesses.
- 16:09So yeah, that part, yeah, 100% so, but it seems like, wait,
- 16:15what were you gonna say? No, nothing I was gonna say.
- 16:17It seems like you have stuff written down.
- 16:18And no, Yeah, so we were talking one time and you wanted to share
- 16:22a message. And it's interesting to always
- 16:25hear a message, especially from someone who's 1818.
- 16:28Yeah. You're 18 now.
- 16:29Yeah. Yeah.
- 16:31Huh, young buck? Young, straight up young buck,
- 16:34Yeah. Absolutely, Absolutely.
- 16:36So you're like. What did I let you?
- 16:40Yeah, and you want, I, I just, this is to glorify God.
- 16:42Of course. Kids his age, you know, they
- 16:46just want to be, you know, partying and doing their own
- 16:48thing. Yeah, that's power to you,
- 16:52right? But it's always nice to see a
- 16:54young buck. Yeah.
- 16:57To, you know, surrender to Christ.
- 16:59Yeah. To to surrender to him.
- 17:01Yeah, you know, I know, I know, I know Christian.
- 17:04I know social media has a huge influence on kids.
- 17:07I know. And it's kind of sad, but but,
- 17:11you know, there is this like, I guess you can say hope because
- 17:15like, OK, well, they're being led to they're being like, you
- 17:18know, they have their eyes on like the things of God.
- 17:20Sure, just don't let the, you know, social media influence.
- 17:24Yeah, because it can be trendy. I get it.
- 17:26Yeah, it can. It can because, you know, it
- 17:27looks beautiful. Things of God look manly.
- 17:30They look awesome. They look like, like, like a
- 17:33full of authority and power. Like, it looks awesome.
- 17:35But, you know, when I was in the gas station, there was this
- 17:39young kid and he filled up my gas and he was like, our man's
- 17:42our day. I was like, yeah, man.
- 17:43He's like, hey, man, Jesus Christ loves you, man.
- 17:44Have a good day. Just saying that to everybody.
- 17:47You don't see that. Yeah, you don't really see that
- 17:48nowadays. You really you only see a bunch
- 17:50of young bucks with curly hair and curly hair and.
- 17:55Yeah, everybody wants to have that curly hair.
- 17:57Yeah. I'm like, bro, what?
- 17:58And then also on top of that too, they'll have that essential
- 18:02sweatshirt for your God. So, but then, you know, their
- 18:05lifestyle completely contradicts whatever they were, you know?
- 18:09Work in progress. Exactly.
- 18:10So what I'm saying is like when I see kids like that are putting
- 18:13effort, I'm like, word cool. Yeah.
- 18:15Just be careful with being influenced, being influenced by
- 18:18the Holy Spirit and that's it. Yeah.
- 18:20So you have you have things. Yeah, yeah.
- 18:22So let's get right into it. So now that Jake Jacob has been
- 18:28introduced, what do we got? What?
- 18:30What? What are we gonna well as a
- 18:32young kid, as a 18 year old finishing high school, going to
- 18:36college, what have you come to realize that perhaps kids your
- 18:41age and and even for kids like kids like people like your age
- 18:46as well, Brian. I mean your age too, man.
- 18:49Yeah, there's some people that blows my mind.
- 18:51But I know, yeah, it's. What have you seen that seems
- 18:55like people are missing the mark?
- 18:58Yeah. So I think like you guys said,
- 19:00this obviously like anything in this sort of like subject
- 19:04applies to anyone, like of any age.
- 19:06It's just something that like I've noticed like like going
- 19:10through four years of high school, I've like, I've tried to
- 19:13put myself in, in every scenario, like you said, like
- 19:16I've put myself in those settings, like those parties and
- 19:19those things. And obviously I haven't indulged
- 19:21in, in the things that they partake in, but I wanted to put
- 19:24myself in those settings to see, you know, like, like what like
- 19:27just see from a different perspective, like what they see
- 19:29in it, you know, like what's calling them towards this, you
- 19:30know, because for everyone it's different.
- 19:32But I think something I've seen is like is like instant
- 19:36gratification. That's something that I wrote
- 19:38about. I think I said to you that like
- 19:40the doc, that's something that I was thinking about.
- 19:42This was like, this was a while ago.
- 19:43This was like in October of 2025 that we were talking about this.
- 19:46Oh, OK. But yeah, I just think like what
- 19:50I wrote down here was it like the youth and generation I'm
- 19:52living in expects to receive an instrument award in exchange for
- 19:56like a holy action. And I and I put holy action in
- 19:58in parentheses, obviously, because that's very subjective.
- 20:01But like to me like what I'm talking about is like.
- 20:04What does that? What does that look like?
- 20:05Yeah, yeah. So what that looks like to me is
- 20:07like, for example, someone will go out to a party, they'll start
- 20:12drinking. They're still doing all these
- 20:13things, you know, doing things. And and then they'll come,
- 20:18they'll go to church, for example, like the town I live
- 20:20in, and I think a lot of New Jersey, there's many Catholics.
- 20:24And so they obviously believe in confession, where you go to
- 20:26confession and then after that, like technically you're like
- 20:30sins are washed away after you confessed.
- 20:31It's like a reboot. Yeah, yeah.
- 20:33Like you just get yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 20:35Listen, I personally don't like agree with that, obviously, but
- 20:40they'll go, they go to confession and then as soon as
- 20:42they go to confession, they're feeling good, they're hyped up.
- 20:44They're like, I just confess, like I'm doing good.
- 20:47And then they'll walk around. They'll be like instead of
- 20:50saying they'll be like what the and then they won't say the
- 20:52word. They'll say like a different
- 20:53like Frick instead of like, you know, saying that's like a holy
- 20:55action. They're like God, like I didn't
- 20:57say a curse word like now why am I like like dude, it literally
- 21:01be something as dumb as like, Oh, I didn't say a curse word.
- 21:03Why my stuff in my toe God like why are you doing this to me?
- 21:06Or like why, why why is my friend moving away?
- 21:09Like I stopped saying bad words for you.
- 21:10Why is my friend moving away so they they want like that instant
- 21:12gratification of doing these like holy.
- 21:14Acts so they so so they they they think there should be a
- 21:17reciprocation. I do this.
- 21:21God should come through. Exactly.
- 21:23I think it's a huge like common misconception.
- 21:25There you go. I literally, literally took the
- 21:27words out of. Huge misconception that like,
- 21:29right That you're saved for your actions.
- 21:31You're not saved for your actions.
- 21:33I'm saying like, so I think that's a huge thing.
- 21:36They're like, oh, like, like I do this, this and this.
- 21:39Like I like to ask this question a lot to do on my edge because
- 21:42they get really uncomfortable when I ask them.
- 21:43I'm like, like, if you were to die today, would you be saved?
- 21:47And then most of the time the edge is like, yeah, like I'm
- 21:50nice to my mom, nice to my dad, like I'm nice to my friends.
- 21:52So there's a certain expectation, yeah, of just why
- 21:58should there be no reason for me to say that I do this, I do
- 22:00that. Well, I'm not a bad person.
- 22:01I do this and this and that. I understand what.
- 22:03You, yeah. And, and then there's some
- 22:05people who who I'll be like, all right, well, like, you know,
- 22:07you're not saved by your actions, though, right?
- 22:09You're saved if you believe that, you know, Jesus died on
- 22:10the cross. I'm saying you confess to your
- 22:12tongue, believe with your mind that you really died on the
- 22:15cross for our sins to save us. And then they'll be like, yeah,
- 22:18like I I get that. That's true.
- 22:20But like, do you really think God would save someone that that
- 22:22was a good person? I'll be like, what makes you a
- 22:25good person though? That's interesting.
- 22:27Right. What makes you a good?
- 22:28Person right, right. So so because your your
- 22:33generation, obviously social media helps a lot and
- 22:37Christianity is is seen now more the why do you serve God?
- 22:44Why do I serve God? Yeah, because that's that's a
- 22:48no. I I know it's such a simple
- 22:49question, but it's deep. Like I serve God because he just
- 22:54is in. Do you, do you serve him because
- 22:57you you have a certain expectation?
- 22:58No, I just know that he just is. So I'm just like.
- 23:02And I, I think people are afraid to kind of like, come to realize
- 23:06that like, you have to be OK with maybe he will reward you.
- 23:14Maybe he's not going to reward you.
- 23:16Yeah. Your duty is to surrender.
- 23:18Exactly. Is that what?
- 23:19You're doing that is what you're saying.
- 23:20Yeah, yeah. I mean, that's really what I was
- 23:21thinking about driving up here. Like.
- 23:23Like I was really driving up here and I was thinking like,
- 23:26like, why would it be that gratification?
- 23:28Like literally the only reason we're here, the only reason we
- 23:30have all these things is because of him.
- 23:33Like that's the little, that's the like, if you were to ask me
- 23:35that question, like, why do I serve God?
- 23:36That's my sole purpose, Because we're, we're imperfect.
- 23:40We're not meant to have this. And we have all these blessings,
- 23:42all these privileges only because he died on the cross for
- 23:45us. That's why I serve Christ.
- 23:46You know what I'm saying? So why is it that like you need
- 23:50gratification, you already have all these blessings.
- 23:52Why do you need more? Yeah, it's funny because when
- 23:56the apostles asked Christ, oh Christ, can you increase our
- 23:59faith? And then and then he was like,
- 24:02he was like, when you serve your master, do you like first down
- 24:07for do you first sit and eat? He's like Or do you go serve
- 24:10your master first? Dude, I'm sorry that I just
- 24:14remembered that that that story where he says you will you will
- 24:21make the food yes and you will give it to the king 1st.
- 24:25And then whatever's left over. Then the king will say, then now
- 24:27you can. Eat.
- 24:28Now you can eat. Here's what's left.
- 24:29Over the remaining response is and you will say crisis and you
- 24:34will say I'm an unworthy. Servant, Servant.
- 24:36I'm only doing what my master asked.
- 24:38So in that story, he's like, this is how you increase your
- 24:42faith. Yes.
- 24:44That's insane. Exactly.
- 24:46So it seems like a lot of those kids, like they just.
- 24:49They want to be served. They want to be served bad.
- 24:51Rather than to serve the master. Yeah, exactly.
- 24:54Because even at the end, God is going to give you what's
- 24:56leftover. He's like, all right, this is
- 24:58what's leftover. Yeah, here you go.
- 25:00But at the end, we say we are unworthy.
- 25:02We only do what our master tells us to do.
- 25:05See. But see when they think I don't
- 25:07know. The good thing about information
- 25:10is no one can lie to you anymore.
- 25:12The government can lie to you. You can go on Google.
- 25:14I mean, the access of information we have, it's
- 25:16ridiculous. You can go to AI, you get
- 25:18everything right. It's a good thing.
- 25:20Simultaneously, it's also a bad thing because you'll just eat up
- 25:24everything. You just take everything.
- 25:27Yeah, you'll take everything you will not.
- 25:28Take anything with a grain of sauce.
- 25:30So you know, you know why bro? It's almost like this whole,
- 25:35like the fact that we have everything to our access.
- 25:37It's almost like long-suffering, the fruit of long-suffering.
- 25:40It's almost like it's not really talked about much.
- 25:44So what you're saying is we become less patient?
- 25:46Yes, less patient because remember, the fruit of the
- 25:49Spirit that God gives is long-suffering to suffer.
- 25:53It's OK to not know and suffer. Yeah, and you know what?
- 25:56Since we have all this information AI, it's almost like
- 25:59that fruit is rottening everywhere.
- 26:00Yeah, because no one. Yeah, because we get the
- 26:02information too quick. Yeah, too quick when when the
- 26:05suffering is what sometimes teaches us rather than AI, for
- 26:09example, like you, you've gone through cancer and you know, you
- 26:14this other. People have gone through worse
- 26:15bro trust. Me.
- 26:16No, no, I know, like Job. I mean, Job didn't have AI.
- 26:20He learned through suffering. Yeah, he learned literally
- 26:22through suffering. At the end he's like, now my
- 26:24eyes see. Yes, I followed you by hearing.
- 26:27But not my eyes. See.
- 26:29Yeah. So suffering, long-suffering.
- 26:31It seems like it's based off what you're saying.
- 26:33It almost seems like it's like fading away.
- 26:36And they don't want to struggle. I mean by struggle, I mean they
- 26:39don't want to suffer. Yeah, yeah, yeah, 'cause look at
- 26:41here, look at here. I love this ever since I found
- 26:45this verse. Second Corinthians, chapter 4,
- 26:48seven. Look what Paul says to the
- 26:51people. But we have treasure in jars of
- 26:54clay to show the surpassing power belongs to God and not to
- 26:59us. Look what it says here.
- 27:03The surpassing power belongs to God and not us.
- 27:09We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed.
- 27:11There you go. So we are afflicted in every
- 27:13way. We're going to survive.
- 27:15We'll be crushed. We'll be fine, yeah.
- 27:17We're going to be afflicted in every type of way.
- 27:19Perplexed, but not driven to despair.
- 27:23So you know what perplex means? Overwhelmed.
- 27:25Overwhelmed. Yes, but you're going to be OK.
- 27:27Yes, that's. Long-suffering, persecuted but
- 27:31not forsaken, struck down but not destroyed, always carrying
- 27:38in the body of death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may
- 27:43also be manifested in our bodies.
- 27:49Yeah, you're right. And then and that instant
- 27:50gratification, that is a huge, huge thing in our time.
- 27:56It is. Huge thing it is.
- 27:57It is. Especially for kids your age,
- 28:00Jacob, because everything is accessible so fast.
- 28:04It's almost like, it's almost like people are lusting on on,
- 28:07on knowledge. No, literally, I mean, that's
- 28:10literally how it is because like, not to get nerdy with it,
- 28:12but like I, I just took anatomy and we literally learned like
- 28:15the number one source of dopamine in our body is
- 28:18gratification. Like that was the word.
- 28:20That's like the scientific word. That makes.
- 28:22That makes. Sense and like not with AI like
- 28:26you like I promise in school, at least in high school, you don't
- 28:30see a single kid anymore like doing an assignment.
- 28:32Oh without AI I agree and it's like.
- 28:34Dude when I was in school. Teachers grade with AI now.
- 28:37Oh really? Literally it's, it's so
- 28:39inevitable that like in the rubrics, you're, you're allowed
- 28:42to use AI. Like before I was like, oh, no
- 28:44AI whatever, you're gonna get written up.
- 28:46Now it's like you can use AI for this and this.
- 28:48We would get penalized for using Google.
- 28:50That's what I'm saying. No, we were penalized for using
- 28:52Google and Wikipedia. I'm sorry bro, that's so.
- 28:55I'm telling you, they would. They would suspend us for that
- 28:58way. I kid.
- 28:59You so they wanted you to be booked.
- 29:00But you know what happened in real time?
- 29:02We saw that they inevitably had to accept it.
- 29:04Right. That Google search engine was
- 29:07the way to search. It wasn't Yahoo anymore.
- 29:10Yeah, no, I, I run this. We started this club being my
- 29:14friends, two of my friends, me, Tim and Jerry, we we started a
- 29:18club called life club so which stands for a living for
- 29:20eternity. And then I started clothing
- 29:22brand with that as well, but we started a live club and we, we
- 29:26have these meetings like twice a month.
- 29:27We try to do them bi weekly. And this is in high school,
- 29:30obviously, but we would have these meetings.
- 29:32And one time we had like a youth group leader like come in and
- 29:35speak and they were, they were like asking like things that you
- 29:39thought were OK, like as a Christian to do.
- 29:41And, and when the topic of like using AI on assignments and
- 29:44like, or like cheating on tests, like the kids visibly got like
- 29:48so uncomfortable, like they were so uneasy because they, they,
- 29:52they knew that it was wrong, but they didn't want to say yes
- 29:54because they all, everybody does it.
- 29:56So they were like, they were like visibly like they were just
- 29:59like getting on easy. Like they were moving in their
- 30:00seats. And then they were all saying
- 30:02like, yeah, like it is. And then so there's like was
- 30:05like, why you do it? And then just like, just because
- 30:08it's easy, it's like, it's the easier way out, simpler.
- 30:11It's. It right?
- 30:12No, it is, it is. You know what I mean 100%?
- 30:14Like when I. Oh I mean AI was was fresh, knew
- 30:18when I was in college still and when I found out about it, it
- 30:21was over. Dude, I I didn't, I didn't have
- 30:23it. I, I saw it come alive.
- 30:27Yeah, right after. Dude A.
- 30:28Little bit before the pandemic. Is Gen.
- 30:30I want my whole my whole this started like my junior year AI
- 30:33was like that's how you get everything done and like I never
- 30:36used it because I always wanted to like keep my own knowledge.
- 30:39And then when I started using it for the first time, like my
- 30:41senior year, dude, that stuff is ridiculous.
- 30:44I know, it's so easy. To fall into trouble for just
- 30:45letting it do it for you, because you can literally make
- 30:48it do it for you, and then once it does, you can ask it to make
- 30:50it more human, yeah. Yeah, yeah, there's and there's,
- 30:53there's several prompts in which you could use to to apply that.
- 30:58I honestly think that AI is good when it comes to like business
- 31:01stuff and marketing. Yeah, I agree.
- 31:03Because although it doesn't give you all the answers, because it
- 31:05doesn't, it does speed up the process for you.
- 31:08Yeah, there's a truth to that end.
- 31:11Whether people like it or not. This is where the world is
- 31:13heading. You know what I mean?
- 31:14It's not, it's not true AI, right?
- 31:17It's still programmable. It's still learning.
- 31:20It's not even sentient. It's not.
- 31:21That's not going to happen. We will not, we will not even be
- 31:24alive when it becomes artificial, mind you, being
- 31:28sentient. Right.
- 31:31So, so people need to relax. Like, yes, we can program it.
- 31:34Yes, the government can shut it down and we don't have AI
- 31:36anymore. That can happen.
- 31:39But the reality is that it does speed up the process for a lot.
- 31:45Of things, Yes it does. And I mean for a lot of things.
- 31:47You know, yeah. I mean, I mean, we've spoken
- 31:51about this even it's it's interesting and, you know,
- 31:55everything's speeding up. Even the even the seasons are
- 31:57speeding up. Everything is speeding up.
- 31:59Even time itself feels speed up. Yeah, I know Christ says that in
- 32:04those times the days will be shortened for the sake of the
- 32:07Saints. And who knows, maybe we we are
- 32:10in in those times, yeah, you know, but that's besides the
- 32:13point. But.
- 32:14So. It's true, though.
- 32:15It's true. And be like in, in still in the
- 32:17conversation on secular notification.
- 32:19What else have you seen about it?
- 32:23You know, we spoke about it in the faith, how it looks in the
- 32:26faith. Oh, well, God, yeah, I did this.
- 32:28You know, like you called it holy action, which is really a
- 32:31good way to say it. Yeah.
- 32:33You expected. Oh, God, I did this.
- 32:35Why you're not doing this for me?
- 32:37You know, you know, before we move forward, Yeah, it's true.
- 32:40Like in the book of Revelations, Revelations chapter 22, you
- 32:45know, when Christ gives his last few words, he says, you know,
- 32:49let the righteous be righteous. Let the filthy be filthy, let
- 32:51the holy be holy. I will pay them accordingly.
- 32:55You know, there's a lot of people out there that, you know,
- 32:58righteous They they're they, they do those acts of
- 33:01righteousness. And Christ's like, OK, I'll pay
- 33:03you accordingly and then. Continue.
- 33:06I'm sorry. And then he separates his other
- 33:08group, where he says blessed are those who wash the robes daily,
- 33:10for they will have access to the tree of life.
- 33:13Yes. So I literally, you took that
- 33:15like he says, let the righteous be righteous.
- 33:18Yeah, Let the filthy be filthy. Let the holy be holy.
- 33:21I will reward them according to their deeds.
- 33:24Yes. They don't understand what that
- 33:25really means. They really don't.
- 33:26When he says I will reward him, to reward something implies that
- 33:29he has to judge it. Yes, in order.
- 33:31To reward, it has to be judgement.
- 33:33He cannot reward you unless there's no under like
- 33:37underlining there is I'm gonna judge you from.
- 33:39Correct, correct. And that's why he says in the
- 33:42next sentence, he's like, I am the alpha, the Omega in the
- 33:45beginning and the end. And then he says to the other
- 33:47group, blessed are you because you watched your robes daily.
- 33:49So. Yeah, it generally gives me
- 33:51chills every time I hear like, like beginning and the end,
- 33:54which is like, what's crazy thing about bro?
- 33:56Is it crazy like he's the, he's the alpha and the Omega.
- 33:59So in Greek, he's the beginning of the letter.
- 34:01Yes, the end of the letter, right?
- 34:02Right then the beginning and the end, which makes sense because
- 34:05if he is the word, the word is the last, the 1st and the last
- 34:10thing spoken. So true, right?
- 34:11So if the father speaks through his son, his son is the 1st and
- 34:17the last thing makes. So much sense.
- 34:20Every sentence you say has a beginning and an end.
- 34:23Exactly so based on the holy action, what what else?
- 34:29What do you why do you think that happens?
- 34:32Why is it? Why are they set up besides the
- 34:36fact that Catholicism and whatever, but.
- 34:39That plays a large role in like in like what I see like because
- 34:43in my school it's like all Catholics.
- 34:44But I've also been around like many non Catholics before and
- 34:47it's like the same thing. But I think in my school like
- 34:50area specifically, I think the Catholicism plays a large role
- 34:54in that, in that like that like you kind of like tally up your
- 34:57sins and then you clean them away and then you go again.
- 35:00And then like, I think like the the biggest thing, like I
- 35:03explained this to one of my friends.
- 35:04I have a friend named Benji. He's like, he's like a a school
- 35:07friend of mine, but he's like, he's very lost in the world.
- 35:11But like he, he like at the same time I got, I got, he's such a
- 35:14genuine guy. Like he's such a good guy.
- 35:15He's just, he's just around the wrong people doing the wrong
- 35:18things and like. Dude I I have friends I see.
- 35:20I see the drive in his heart to like, become a better person and
- 35:23like he's always asking me like, to tell him like a random Bible
- 35:25verse. So we had this thing where I
- 35:26would tell him a Bible verse like every day, just fun.
- 35:29He would tell me like what he thought about it.
- 35:30And but yeah, I, I told him the story one time because, because
- 35:34he would tell me how he would like do something bad and then
- 35:37he would do something good, right?
- 35:39And like, like, if he would cancel it out, right?
- 35:41So, and he was like, like, like, bro, so you think because you
- 35:43did 44 sins and then you did, and then you stopped yourself
- 35:47from cursing 4 times, you think you're going to be saved now?
- 35:50And I was like, bro, you know how, like how dumb that sounds,
- 35:52right? Like straight up bro, you know
- 35:53how dumb that sounds, right? He's like, he's like, yeah, but
- 35:55like, not really. Because like, I just cancelled
- 35:57it out. And so then I saw this story one
- 35:59time, I think it was on, on Instagram reels, to be honest.
- 36:01But it was like, it was like a farmer who, who, and there was
- 36:05this guy on his farm and it was like this field split by a
- 36:08fence. And on one side was hell and on
- 36:10one side was heaven. And every time he sinned, he
- 36:12like took a step towards towards the hell side.
- 36:15And then every time he did something good, it was like
- 36:17towards towards the heaven side. And so he ended up sending three
- 36:22times and then he did a good deed 3 times and he ended up on
- 36:25the fence. And then the farmer was like,
- 36:27let me tell you something, now Satan owns that fence.
- 36:31Now he's cooked. Right, right.
- 36:33No, I've heard of that too. Yeah, saying it was that fence,
- 36:35like you, you did all this to get to that fence and that fence
- 36:38doesn't even save you. So like the only way to stay on
- 36:41heaven is is to like, bro, you could do all these good things,
- 36:45but does God even know you? Like does he even know you?
- 36:47Like it's like you you could hear like bro, I could have no
- 36:50idea who Job is. I'd be like, I could hear of
- 36:52like all the good things that this guy is.
- 36:54Doing yeah, right, Right. And then if someone asks me
- 36:56like, oh, like Job's a good guy, right?
- 36:57Dude, I don't know who he is. Like, I don't know who he is.
- 36:59I've heard what he's done. I don't know him and he doesn't
- 37:02know me. So how am I going to come here
- 37:05and save you? Right, Right.
- 37:06That's really what God says. I forget where in the Bob, but
- 37:09he. Says he says to Lord for me,
- 37:10because yeah, he says Lord, Lord, Lord, have we not done
- 37:13this in your name? You know, you know that part
- 37:16people sleep on that They said, you know, people think blasphemy
- 37:20is the worst sin of all. It's not.
- 37:23We'll get to that one day. But they say blasphemy is the
- 37:26worst sin of all. But I think, I don't think I
- 37:30know the worst of it all When Christ, when when God literally
- 37:35says depart from me. I never knew.
- 37:37You now here's a little bit of a thinking cap because you brought
- 37:41it up. Yeah, he says.
- 37:44Well, they say, Lord, Lord, have we not done this right in your
- 37:47name, you. Know what they says it says?
- 37:49Have we not prophesied? That in your name that means
- 37:52have we not so? Have we not done so and so and
- 37:54so all this check right, right, right in your name, right,
- 37:56right. So we we before you continue
- 37:59right? If they said have we not
- 38:01prophesied in your name? Meaning what they were
- 38:04prophesying was coming to pass? So, so see, see, that's why I
- 38:07said thinking cat, right, OK, right.
- 38:09If they've said all this, the implication that of that is that
- 38:13the name of Christ in which they did use did back them up.
- 38:17It did, yeah. Here's the difference though.
- 38:21Does God recognize you though? Paul says you can have all these
- 38:25gifts, but if you don't have love.
- 38:28So. So when Christ says depart from
- 38:30me, I do not know you. Now this is going to sound a
- 38:33little bit paradoxical, but in order for Christ to say depart
- 38:39from me, I don't know you. It requires information, Grim to
- 38:42say I don't know you, right? In other words, I don't know you
- 38:46doesn't mean he doesn't know. Right, right.
- 38:48Yeah. It just means he's on standby,
- 38:51in other words. Well, since he's one with God,
- 38:54his Father. Listen, I don't get information
- 38:57about you, so I don't know you, right?
- 38:59Right. It's not mean he doesn't know.
- 39:02Dude, I'm sorry, bro, you. Yeah, I understand what you're.
- 39:05Saying you don't. Do you understand what I'm
- 39:06saying? It's only because of right, how
- 39:08Christ and the Father are one now people are going to be like,
- 39:12well, what does that mean? God, Christ doesn't know.
- 39:13Listen, Christ proved it in Scripture that he has
- 39:17limitations. He doesn't know things and
- 39:19that's OK. For example, he doesn't know the
- 39:22hour of the day, right? Does that mean he he's all of a
- 39:25sudden not powerful, right, right.
- 39:27No, he know. He knows that he's coming, just
- 39:30doesn't know when that's going to happen.
- 39:32Right Right now, to be in the position at the other side for
- 39:38Christ to say I don't know you, man.
- 39:41Depart from me. That's crazy.
- 39:43But that's worse than blast. That's that's worse than
- 39:46committing the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.
- 39:48Right, right. Yeah bro, 100%.
- 39:50Can you imagine Christ say? Depart from me, I.
- 39:53Don't know you. That's the worst, like.
- 39:56I know you exist, but I have no information in regards to you,
- 40:00so I don't know you. Exactly.
- 40:01Imagine how much that would hurt if it was like if you were
- 40:04literally just trying to go to like like the House of a love,
- 40:06like someone you thought like you loved.
- 40:08Uh huh. Like it's like if I try to come
- 40:10to Oscar's house and I'm like, dude, I speak good about you
- 40:13when you're not there or whatever, all these things.
- 40:14And then he tells me, dude, get out of here, I don't know who
- 40:17you are. Right, right, right.
- 40:19That's. A love one.
- 40:20Imagine God. Doing that, yeah.
- 40:21Yeah. If I say to Jake, I don't know
- 40:24you, but I know he exists for me to say I don't know you.
- 40:27Right, right, right, right. It's just my affirmation that
- 40:31you, I don't know you, right? I don't know who you are.
- 40:33Yeah, and people don't understand.
- 40:35They still don't understand this concept.
- 40:37Christ is the word. Do you speak without thinking?
- 40:42No, you have to think. Yeah, exactly.
- 40:46So Christ is the word. That's why it makes so much
- 40:49sense. Why, he says.
- 40:50I don't know. You depart from me, you worker
- 40:52of iniquity. That means he knows.
- 40:55That there is a worker of an. Yeah.
- 40:57So you see, like people don't understand that.
- 40:59Like he can't say I don't know you, but yeah, I know that
- 41:02you're a worker of. An equity like what do you mean
- 41:04exactly 1 day We'll get to that really deep topic.
- 41:07I know that's I know that's complicated.
- 41:08Yeah, that's why I said we're. Just I like.
- 41:11It. Do you understand that though?
- 41:12Right. Yeah, Yeah.
- 41:13So. So when he brought that up, I
- 41:15was like, interesting. They don't think deeper than
- 41:18what it actually says, right? And you're right.
- 41:22You can't expect God. I did this, you know, and expect
- 41:25this. No, no, no, no, you.
- 41:27Your duty is to surrender. That's it.
- 41:29You're an unworthy servant. He is blessed to have the
- 41:32opportunity to go play D1. Yeah, exactly.
- 41:37He. Doesn't know two or three months
- 41:39from now what God wants to do. Exactly.
- 41:41The question is the true test would be.
- 41:43Then the two true test of character would be.
- 41:45How would you react if, if something plays out where, I
- 41:49don't know, God comes and said, Jakey, we have a different plan.
- 41:53Are you up for it? Yeah.
- 41:55That would be the true test of character, right?
- 41:57Because, you know, Yeah, God was with my goals and dreams.
- 42:01Yeah, you know what I'm saying? Yeah, I don't know what I was.
- 42:03Speaking with that, with that youth group leader, this was
- 42:07before I even committed. And so like, just for a little
- 42:10context, like I, I've like always been like perceived as
- 42:14this good player and I've always esteemed myself pretty highly,
- 42:16but I've always also like worked hard.
- 42:19And so I expected to get a lot of good looks, especially
- 42:22playing at a high level, but I never really did.
- 42:24I only ever got one Division One offer, which is the one that I,
- 42:27the school that I'm going to. And so at this moment in time,
- 42:29when I was talking to this, to this youth group leader, I was
- 42:33like, I was telling him about my situation.
- 42:36He was telling me. And then he was like, well, let
- 42:38me tell you something. He was like you, you say you're,
- 42:41you're like a man of God, right? You've like surrounded your life
- 42:43to Christ and soccer is like one of the biggest things in your
- 42:46life. So what do you do that for?
- 42:47Like do you play soccer for yourself or do you play soccer
- 42:49for God? And then in my head I was like,
- 42:52I mean, like, I would like to say I play for God, but like
- 42:55there are moments where I'm doing things for myself.
- 42:57And then he was like, all right, here, let me ask you a better
- 42:59question. This, this will make your answer
- 43:00more clear. He was like, he's like, let's
- 43:03say he's like, let's say God like shrug down right now.
- 43:06He said to your face, He said. He said I need you to quit
- 43:09soccer. I'm not gonna tell you why.
- 43:11I just need you to quit soccer. I mean, you quit soccer.
- 43:14Think about it. And in my head, I was like, like
- 43:17being completely honest, I would say no, like I would in my, I'd
- 43:20be like, no, I don't want to quit.
- 43:21They'd be like a You feel like a defiance.
- 43:23Yeah. Be like we what And.
- 43:24That's right. In that moment was when I like,
- 43:26I completely shifted like my perception of why I'm playing,
- 43:30why I'm doing it. And then I mean, that's when I
- 43:34got my offer. I'm not saying that's why I got
- 43:35it, but I think that's that's a moment where I actually, I
- 43:38learned like, like you said, like 3 months from now, if there
- 43:40was another plan, like I would be completely at peace with it.
- 43:42That's what I'm saying. You know what I mean?
- 43:44Right, right. Oh yeah, absolutely.
- 43:47It's just why, why especially for a kid his age, right, mind
- 43:51you, growing up elementary school, what do you like to do
- 43:54when you grow up? All this right, right.
- 43:55And then you also do notice, like what he was just saying,
- 43:59you do notice a capacity that you have, right?
- 44:01That you bring to the table. You know that?
- 44:04Don't. Don't.
- 44:04Yeah. No one can come to me and be
- 44:06like, no. And and try to be humble about
- 44:08it. Listen, right.
- 44:09You know what you bring to the table?
- 44:10Yeah. Like, you know what I mean?
- 44:12Yeah. You know what I'm saying?
- 44:13No. No, no, absolutely.
- 44:14I totally agree, you know, and that's good that you recognize
- 44:16that. Number one, that shows
- 44:17humbleness #2 you're aware of that part of your conscience.
- 44:22Exactly. You know, a lot of people don't
- 44:25want to admit it. A lot of people say I'm doing
- 44:27this for God, but in their conscience, they know that
- 44:29they're not. Yeah, but at least you, on the
- 44:31other hand, you admit it. You're.
- 44:32You're honest about the the fact that would I and then you then
- 44:37you answered honestly. Oh, I wouldn't.
- 44:39Yeah, you know what I mean. And that's such a big thing as
- 44:41well because it's like every time, like sometimes people will
- 44:44like, will like do some crazy things in front of me and like
- 44:47they know who I am in my faith and, and like, dude, sometimes
- 44:51they'll come and apologize to me.
- 44:52I'm like, dude, what are you doing?
- 44:53Like, why are you apologizing to me?
- 44:55Like, like if you're apologize to someone to apologize to God,
- 44:58right? And the only reason they're
- 44:59doing that is because like they don't want to offend me,
- 45:00whatever because of my faith. And then it's like, or it's like
- 45:03they'll tell me like, dude, I've spoken to so many people.
- 45:05They're like, Oh yeah, like guess what?
- 45:06Like did you know I pray every night before the bed?
- 45:08Like did you know, I pray for my friends every time.
- 45:10And then when I wake up, I pray before I eat.
- 45:12I pray. I do all these things and then
- 45:14I'll be hanging out with them or eating.
- 45:15They didn't pray, you know what I'm saying?
- 45:16We went to a sleepover. We're going to bed.
- 45:18I don't see them pray, you know what I'm saying?
- 45:20And it's like, and then I asked them like, is that true?
- 45:22And they're like, no, it's not true.
- 45:23Like to be honest, like I was just telling you that to look
- 45:25better. I'm like, bro, why are you
- 45:26trying to look good for me? Like you're not going to God's
- 45:28not a. Fool.
- 45:29You can't fool him. So that's that's where it came
- 45:32from. Like my idea in my head, like
- 45:33I'm not going to lie to this youth group leader and be like,
- 45:36Oh yeah, I would say yes, because God knows I'm not lying.
- 45:38So why am I Like, it doesn't matter if he thinks, right?
- 45:40He thinks it doesn't really. Matter at all?
- 45:42Absolutely. Absolutely.
- 45:44I mean, look what happened to our our Jakey.
- 45:47Like Jakey, I call him Jakey Jacob and me our cousin Wilmer,
- 45:51what he did in Florida was not not uneasy thing for him to do
- 45:54man. Especially for a 20 year old
- 45:57like being in their 20s, that much success and to let it go.
- 46:01Heading to that right to that point, yeah, yeah.
- 46:03Before he came to Jersey, Yeah, bro, the what?
- 46:04The story he told us, that's not.
- 46:07No, that's not easy. That's not easy.
- 46:08No, it's not. You know what I mean?
- 46:10No. And you know what?
- 46:13So there are things when you come to Christ that you know,
- 46:17you unlearn a lot of things when you come to Christ.
- 46:20But here's the problem too. That's good that you're honest
- 46:23because let's just say you decide to make your prayer life,
- 46:28your fasting life, the wisdom that God gives you offers
- 46:31something that drives your eyes away from God.
- 46:35And then when the time comes, because like it says in Second
- 46:37Corinthians where God puts you through that fire to be for your
- 46:42faith to be presented, to be approved for his glory.
- 46:46Next thing you know, when God puts you through that fire, all
- 46:48that praying, all that fasting, all that wisdom that you did not
- 46:52put towards God, but rather towards what your conscience was
- 46:55telling you. Next thing you know all that
- 46:58fire that God put you through that's.
- 47:00True, that's true. The fire would be the test and
- 47:03see if you do come out if you yeah that that makes.
- 47:06Sense if you come out pure. So what you're saying is this is
- 47:12crazy, dude, Because it's true. And I only said it because I've
- 47:14lived it, right? Because I've done it?
- 47:16No, I'm gonna be honest. And.
- 47:18I'm learning about it too, yeah. You will pray, fast, and seek
- 47:23wisdom for your own benefit, right?
- 47:25So you do those things while simultaneously walking and
- 47:29thinking in the flesh. Yes.
- 47:31Trying to do the things of the spirit, yes, for the benefit of
- 47:34the flesh and the. I only say that because, see,
- 47:38I'm 100% guilty of that because. Perfect, perfect, perfect,
- 47:42perfect. Like I bro, me too.
- 47:45And it's true. Like, and it sucks because I've
- 47:47been tested and you want to know when the test comes, you get
- 47:51dismantled. Yeah, you know why you get
- 47:53dismantled? Because then you're like, wait,
- 47:56you thought you were had a prayer life.
- 47:58You thought you were fasting. But the test comes to prove to
- 48:03see that what you were doing. Right, for what is in the heart
- 48:06will eventually come out. Now that is so true because you
- 48:10know, the Church of Revelations, it says, you know, I see your
- 48:12works, you know, you seem alive, but you are dead inside.
- 48:16So, you know, one in church or in life, they can seem like so
- 48:20like, oh, this person has a strong prayer life.
- 48:22This person has, you know, a strong fasting life.
- 48:25This person seeks good wisdom. But then when the moment comes
- 48:28where God is like, all right, it's time for the fire, then you
- 48:30will see truly if what is inside is spiritual or just flesh.
- 48:35Yeah, people are going to confuse it with, Oh well, works.
- 48:38No, no, no. This has nothing to do with
- 48:40works. There's nothing to do with that.
- 48:41This is for the betterment and refinement, right of your walk
- 48:45with Christ. Yeah, he says.
- 48:48He says do not worry about anything.
- 48:51First the Kingdom. Yeah, seek for the Kingdom and
- 48:53righteousness and everything else.
- 48:55Right shall be an add on. 100%, literally 100%.
- 49:00I'm not saying this is like a manifestation thing, cuz then
- 49:02no, they also do that too, yeah. They do that too, man.
- 49:05God and pray and everything will come.
- 49:07Yes and no. Yeah, yeah.
- 49:09It's not what you think it is. Now, if you were walking in the
- 49:13Spirit, then you'll be, you'll be like, like, gratified of like
- 49:17of like. Whoa, God, this is what you're
- 49:19teaching me. Everything else is falling to
- 49:21its. Place, if you walk and think in
- 49:23the Spirit, Instant gratification is but a far
- 49:25thought, yes. So when the moment of gratitude
- 49:29that God gives, yeah, yeah. To you, you're just like, oh,
- 49:31that's well, yeah, that's great, right?
- 49:33For example, like the the lessons that God teaches us.
- 49:37Like it to to me, I know it's you too.
- 49:41And to our sister Linda, all of us, it's like, it's like
- 49:44precious, it's like gold. It feels better than receiving a
- 49:48paycheck. Yeah, you know what I mean?
- 49:50So like. That is true.
- 49:52It does feel rewarding when when, for example, I've been
- 49:57able to share right, or with Diego, share with Wilmer.
- 50:02It's rewarding not because I'm getting rewarded.
- 50:06It's rewarding because I get to see that you guys don't have to
- 50:08go through a huge time frame and suffer like I did.
- 50:14Yeah, yeah, yeah. God doesn't want.
- 50:16It's almost like God doesn't. He's like I did this, Oscar, so
- 50:18that when these group of people like Jacob, like these come to
- 50:23you, you have bearing gifts that I Yeah, not you.
- 50:27Yeah, You give to them. Yeah.
- 50:28And they will grab it because they won't have to go through
- 50:31that. Bro.
- 50:33And that's the reward I see. And it is.
- 50:36It's good. It's good, yeah.
- 50:37Because I know it's for his Kingdom.
- 50:38Exactly. It's like what Paul said to the
- 50:40church. He's like, oh, I come to you
- 50:41with spiritual gifts. And then he speaks.
- 50:44Yeah. And I think the reason I, I
- 50:47don't know, I don't know your friends, but I can definitely
- 50:50say that why they like to be around you, it's because of
- 50:54that. Yeah, it's because you're you're
- 50:57different. And they see that they.
- 50:59They, they see these little, these little, these little, I
- 51:02call them like, I don't know, gummies or treats.
- 51:04Yeah, yeah, yeah, they, you receive those treats, those
- 51:06treats, you call them like gifts, like what he was talking
- 51:09about. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 51:10They feel that and that's why they like to be around you.
- 51:13And yeah. And Christ said, you being
- 51:16wicked, you know how to do. Yeah bro, that's why they say
- 51:19sorry to you, because they know what they're doing is bad.
- 51:21Yeah, literally they are. Yeah.
- 51:22The thing is like people always are like, like I'm so far gone,
- 51:27whatever, like they're they feel hopeless.
- 51:29And I'm like, dude, you literally feel guilt.
- 51:30Like that's the first step. The first step is, is feeling
- 51:33that guilt. That means you're conscious in
- 51:35that like spiritual mind that like you know what you're doing
- 51:37is wrong. You just can't sort out how to
- 51:39not do it. Yeah, you're being convicted.
- 51:41You don't know how to go about it.
- 51:43Yeah, exactly. And like on on that topic as
- 51:45well. Yeah.
- 51:48Like I'm being hopeless. It's like I try to work with so
- 51:50many kids, like in school, like I have so many friends or just
- 51:54like mutual friends that I see are like such good people that I
- 51:56like I've grown up with. And like, when we were little,
- 51:59we were like all these like good kids and then we've grown up and
- 52:01like, maybe gone around the wrong company.
- 52:03And like, people are always like, ask me like, like, dude,
- 52:06like, why are you even trying to help?
- 52:07Like, why are you trying to help them?
- 52:08Why are you trying to help them? Or like, they're so far gone.
- 52:10Like you're not really going to get any anywhere with that.
- 52:13Like, why don't you just like stick with you, like your
- 52:14Christian friends, whatever. And then what?
- 52:18I found this verse. Yeah.
- 52:19That was that. Matthew, Matthew 911 to 13.
- 52:22It's like when the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples,
- 52:25why does your teacher eat with the tax collectors and sinners?
- 52:29On hearing this, Jesus said it is not the healthy who need a
- 52:31doctor, but the sick. But go and learn what this
- 52:34means. I desire mercy, not sacrifice,
- 52:37for I have come not to call the righteous, but sinners, right,
- 52:41right. So it's like what?
- 52:42Why would I sit here and like and, and so my Christian friends
- 52:45when I know they're saved, when I know like we're on the same
- 52:48page. We got to go, keep helping, keep
- 52:50discipling, because that's what it's all.
- 52:51About wait wait, these are your Christian friends telling you
- 52:54this? No, no, no.
- 52:55I'm saying like it's other people telling.
- 52:57Me it's like. They're the ones telling me
- 52:59right, right, right, Stick around with my friends.
- 53:00Gotcha, gotcha. Yeah, bro.
- 53:02Our job is literally to disciple and spread the gospel.
- 53:04So he says I want mercy, not sacrifice.
- 53:06Yeah. So when he says I want mercy.
- 53:10I desire. He I desire mercy, not
- 53:12sacrifice. So when you like, for example,
- 53:17you go to someone like that, you're displaying mercy on them.
- 53:21Yeah. When you displayed mercy, there
- 53:24will be a sense of sacrifice that you have to under go.
- 53:28Yeah. Because if we, if we go, if we
- 53:32go to a train station, Morrison and we give them food, at that
- 53:36moment they feel like there's mercy.
- 53:39Yes, However, they're going to think about it, right?
- 53:41They can think about it. God is merciful or the universe
- 53:44is merciful, whatever they're going to think.
- 53:46But then the next step is that mercy is the initial state, then
- 53:51the sacrifice. That's why he says I don't I I
- 53:55desire mercy, not sacrifice. Right.
- 53:57Because they were going with that first and not show mercy.
- 54:01Yeah, I know. I see what you're.
- 54:02Saying, and mind you, he reads, he's reading something that the
- 54:05tax collector, who was it a tax collector?
- 54:08Tax collectors and and sinners. They were out like in the
- 54:11culture in that time. They're outcast.
- 54:13Yeah, they were. They weren't part of society.
- 54:16Yeah, that's true. They would look down upon like
- 54:18stay away from me. We're, you know, we're we're
- 54:22yeah, we're clean. We're not unclean.
- 54:26Yeah. Where is the mercy?
- 54:27No, Yeah, yeah. Where's the mercy?
- 54:30Yeah, bro, it's like the Mercy's like the foundation and then the
- 54:33sacrifice just. It's inevitable.
- 54:36Yeah, exactly. That's true.
- 54:38They would go with sacrifice and not mercy.
- 54:40Right. Wow man.
- 54:43So what do you guys think about about Lent?
- 54:46Have you guys heard about Lent? Yeah, yeah, the 40 day lent did
- 54:49they do the the Catholic indoor? Yeah, I have AI have a for
- 54:52something. I have mine from my friend who's
- 54:54I won't say her name, but she's a devout Catholic and she's she
- 54:59loves she loves God, bro. I can't right.
- 55:02We might disagree in some things, but when land came,
- 55:07she's like, oh, are you in your 4040 day land thing?
- 55:09And I'm like, no, well, we don't necessarily do that, right?
- 55:13They use that because, you know, Christ went to the desk over 40
- 55:15days and 40 nights. So they use that, that 40 day
- 55:18land, you kind of abstain from something that that, yeah, makes
- 55:23you sad or something. Yeah, yeah.
- 55:24So for example, if you like eating too much meat, then or
- 55:27you abstain from meat. Right, like every.
- 55:29Friday, they can't eat meat. Yeah, yeah, like that.
- 55:31Like on the 40 day on Friday, they can't eat meat, right?
- 55:34So it's this thing where like they sacrifice something for 40
- 55:37days. Basically, right, Right.
- 55:39That's what Lente is. It's just a preparation to
- 55:41Easter, if you will. Yeah, there is a discipline to
- 55:46the flesh, but that doesn't do anything.
- 55:49Yeah, doesn't amount to anything.
- 55:51That's what I'm saying. Like I think that is like that's
- 55:53certainly shown here is like he desires mercy, not sacrifice.
- 55:56Like yeah, you're sacrificing something, but like.
- 55:59To what end? To what end?
- 56:00You could sacrifice like anybody in the world could sacrifice
- 56:02something. So that's just discipline.
- 56:03That's true and. So it's like and then on another
- 56:05layer to that is like I also have like a variety about
- 56:09Christian, right? He's one of the University of
- 56:10Notre Dame, very smart guy. He also loves Christ, but like
- 56:15he's telling me how like it's supposed to be something like
- 56:17something you sacrifice for land is something emotional like
- 56:20something like that. Like, you know, has a good deep
- 56:22connection. Like it's rooted really in your
- 56:24heart. And then there's like literally
- 56:26like what people give up is like like Cheetos or something Like
- 56:29they'll. Give up like a pink drink.
- 56:31From Starbucks Like all the girls give up a pink drink from
- 56:33Starbucks. That's crazy and Starbucks loses
- 56:35profit there. All the dudes like give up like
- 56:37Chipotle. It's like dude, like.
- 56:39Guess that could have easier. Yeah, it's almost aimlessly.
- 56:43They're like, well, they're doing.
- 56:44It to check it off the list. Right.
- 56:46Exactly. That's what they're doing.
- 56:47Yeah, 100%. Yeah, no, it doesn't work that
- 56:50way. No, Now I'll say if they were to
- 56:52really truly apply the 40 day land the proper way, they'd they
- 56:56would see Bennett benefits in regards to disciplining the
- 56:59flesh in the spirit. Right, right.
- 57:01Like the flesh submitting to the spirit.
- 57:03Yeah, but in in what Jacob is saying it that's that means
- 57:08nothing. Yeah, man, I agree.
- 57:10It's absolutely nothing. I agree.
- 57:11And you know what? When Christ went up there, it
- 57:15was for a purpose. It literally says in Scripture
- 57:17he was He was sent by the spirit.
- 57:22Oh no, no, like. No, he was taken.
- 57:23He was taken by the Spirit to the wilderness to be tested and
- 57:27tempted. It literally says on scripture
- 57:29there was a purpose behind it all.
- 57:32People are fascinated that they they said to Christ, well, no,
- 57:36the the enemy, the devil, whoever, whoever he is right?
- 57:39He was like if you are and so and so you'll do this and then
- 57:45Christ would respond. They seemed the fascination of
- 57:49the calling response that they right that they were both
- 57:51having. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 57:52But what really intrigues me is the fact that he had to say if
- 57:56you are right. So there was a sense that he had
- 57:59to he was not he was setting him up to prove himself right if he
- 58:03was from God. So I think, I think it goes much
- 58:06deeper that when that temptation comes, it is the enemy will is
- 58:10to say, for example, Jacob, let's say God forbid it doesn't
- 58:14happen right at college, but the enemy will come and God will
- 58:18allow it. Mind you, he was taken by the
- 58:20script. Then we will come to, to to test
- 58:25you. But he's he's going to come and
- 58:27test you with, with light, with truth, and you will have a
- 58:31response because we've learned. We learned from.
- 58:33Scripture. Yep.
- 58:34But I think the greatest test is if you have to prove yourself
- 58:40before someone that you are who you say you are before God,
- 58:44because that was the whole purpose of what Satan was trying
- 58:47to do. If you are the son of God, then
- 58:48you will do this if if you say you are right.
- 58:52So we and social media I've I've I'm guilty of it in the.
- 58:59Past. Yeah, me too.
- 59:00A lot of Christians and social media always have to prove
- 59:03themselves because of a comment that someone made because of
- 59:08another comment and they have to make like a real or in a podcast
- 59:11mention and they have to prove themselves.
- 59:14Yeah, who they say they are already.
- 59:18It's a failure. No, you failed the moment you
- 59:21try to prove yourself that you are a follower of Christ.
- 59:23I'm sorry you failed. You don't need to prove
- 59:24anything. You don't.
- 59:25It is God. Yes.
- 59:27Who's going to do it? Look.
- 59:27What it says after you get after you, you're put through the fire
- 59:31of the testing of your faith to be approved.
- 59:34It's to glorify God. It literally says the next
- 59:36sentence. It's to glorify him.
- 59:38Yeah. So why are you trying to prove
- 59:40yourself that you are a follower of Christ?
- 59:42Let your fruit speak and that's. It so the instant gratification,
- 59:47it stands from ego, right? Yeah, It stands from me.
- 59:50Yeah, it stands from my own desires and my own
- 59:54satisfactions. And if in fact, there were such
- 59:58a thing as instant gratification, if if there were,
- 1:00:01it shouldn't even be for us. No, that instant gratification
- 1:00:05should be for his glory. For his glory, It shouldn't even
- 1:00:07be. For us, I mean, come on, man.
- 1:00:08I mean when you eat, when you eat you get instantly like it's
- 1:00:12amazing, gratified. You like you feel gratification.
- 1:00:15So that's why Christ says serve the Master.
- 1:00:18Then at the end, whatever's leftover, he will give you.
- 1:00:21He is to be gratified, used to want to be served, and at the
- 1:00:25end, you know, then whatever's left over, you will eat.
- 1:00:28Anything else you have? I think just like like, like
- 1:00:34times like these is like important to get or like, just
- 1:00:37like lastly, touching on what you guys were saying about the
- 1:00:40about like proving yourself is like I've experienced that
- 1:00:42literally in high school already where it's like, I'll be at a
- 1:00:44party and kids will come at me with this like animosity.
- 1:00:47Like yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. They're like, Oh yeah, like if,
- 1:00:49if you're so controlled, if you're so Christian, like, why
- 1:00:52don't you drink a bit like you? See what I mean?
- 1:00:53Yeah. Yeah, yeah, you can control it
- 1:00:55anyway. Like you don't have to be a
- 1:00:56reckless drink or just drink a bit, like whatever.
- 1:00:58Like if you're actually Christian, like, dude, like why?
- 1:01:01Literally why? Yeah, yeah.
- 1:01:02It's like it's like so. Useless.
- 1:01:03I mean, there's so many layers. So I don't do any of that stuff.
- 1:01:05Like, well, like that's the way I've seen it affect my family.
- 1:01:08Like on top of my faith, just the way I've seen it affect my
- 1:01:10family. And yeah, and also like my life
- 1:01:11as an athlete, I was, I would just never touch those things.
- 1:01:14But like, obviously mainly my faith, but it's just like, dude,
- 1:01:16I'm not gonna like, yeah, yeah, literally.
- 1:01:18What do I have to prove to you bro?
- 1:01:20Exactly. No you don't.
- 1:01:21And. That's happening a lot, Yeah.
- 1:01:23I mean, it's happening everywhere.
- 1:01:24I mean, like, OK, yeah, it's true, bro.
- 1:01:26Because in social media, like there's a lot of, you know,
- 1:01:30Christian influencers, I guess you can say, and sometimes they
- 1:01:34record themselves praying over people or like that one guy that
- 1:01:38used to do voodoo and he doesn't do it anymore and he's, he has
- 1:01:42to record himself. Like, like, like saying, OK, so
- 1:01:45you know, this Uber driver, you know, he, she came here and I
- 1:01:48just feel like, you know, the Holy Spirit is telling me this
- 1:01:50and put some mic to her. I'm like, why do you have to
- 1:01:52record yourself? Like I.
- 1:01:54Don't know for that. Like for example.
- 1:01:57I didn't even know that this. What I'm holding right here, the
- 1:01:59scriptures though, the word of God right here, they never knew
- 1:02:04these letters. They never.
- 1:02:05That wasn't their intention to like, like, Oh yeah, make it the
- 1:02:09best seller. Paul.
- 1:02:10Paul didn't know it was going to end up in a in a collection of A
- 1:02:14and we call it Bible. The Bible?
- 1:02:15Yeah. He was in prison just writing.
- 1:02:17He was just concerned for his churches, the churches.
- 1:02:19Yeah, he wasn't trying to like influence.
- 1:02:22No, he was just like, I'm being used by God.
- 1:02:24Brothers and sisters, I love you so much.
- 1:02:26Please stay strong. And that's it.
- 1:02:28That was it. Yeah, that's literally it.
- 1:02:30And we're blessed. Yeah, we have that now.
- 1:02:32Very. Yeah.
- 1:02:33Yeah, exactly. Yeah, dude, literally I got, I
- 1:02:34film these, I film these tik toks where I like, sometimes I
- 1:02:38do like Bible studies, I do, I like read a verse and then break
- 1:02:40it down, whatever. Or then sometimes I do like,
- 1:02:43it's kind of just like a day in my life.
- 1:02:45And then it's it's like I do it to show people that like I can
- 1:02:48balance. Like when I was in school, I was
- 1:02:50balancing school. I was balancing my life with
- 1:02:52Christ. I was balancing soccer at the
- 1:02:53same time. Right now it's just like soccer
- 1:02:54and Christ. It's a lot.
- 1:02:55It's just, yeah. Like you just like clips of me,
- 1:02:58like reading the Bible, clips of me praying and stuff.
- 1:03:01And like obviously I'm, I'm filming those clips and then I'm
- 1:03:03actually doing it for real. Like the clips are just like
- 1:03:05like a LARP pretty much. But like I'm actually doing this
- 1:03:08stuff. And then like there'll be
- 1:03:10comments of people saying like, oh, you just want, you're just
- 1:03:12doing this because you want us to see that, see that you pray,
- 1:03:15but you're not actually praying. Like I see where they're coming
- 1:03:18from. That, that, that is true.
- 1:03:20Yeah, You're right. You're right.
- 1:03:21Yeah. Saying like it's like, yeah,
- 1:03:22that's true. Like you're you pray in private.
- 1:03:23But the reason I'm doing is to show that like, you know what
- 1:03:27I'm saying? Like I do all these things and
- 1:03:28then I still find time to pray at night.
- 1:03:30You know what I'm saying? It's like that guy.
- 1:03:31I'm just going to mess the. Guy, I see where they come from.
- 1:03:32But like they're trying to look for that like like I'm like,
- 1:03:35like you're saying, like just like they're trying to look for
- 1:03:38that stuff, but. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:03:41No, I get where I that is true what you're saying.
- 1:03:42I get where you're saying. You're basically coming in the
- 1:03:44aspect of like it's possible. Yeah, you can.
- 1:03:46You can. Like I've, I've like, I've seen
- 1:03:50so many like underclassmen, like it's helped a lot that I've been
- 1:03:53like been a captain of soccer team the past two years.
- 1:03:55So like a lot of these kids would like, they don't look up
- 1:03:57to me, but like, you know, I'm like in a leadership role for
- 1:03:59them. And they've like, they've like
- 1:04:02been like kind of lukewarm. And then they start like taking
- 1:04:04pride in their faith because like they see the way I, I carry
- 1:04:06myself around and like, obviously I'm not perfect
- 1:04:09either, but like they see, I carry out myself around and
- 1:04:11they're like, oh, like he can do it with pride.
- 1:04:13Like he's not shy. Like that's another thing I
- 1:04:14wrote down is like people think it's so scary because like
- 1:04:17they're going to face so much like persecution and all these
- 1:04:21things, but it's like, dude, like when you're actually, when
- 1:04:24you're going through it, like we talked about earlier, like
- 1:04:27you're gonna survive. You're gonna be like, you're
- 1:04:28gonna be OK, I. Literally become like people,
- 1:04:31like every time, sometimes I'll try to be comforting people and
- 1:04:33I bring up like Romans 818. It's like there's always light
- 1:04:35at the end of the tunnel. Yeah.
- 1:04:36Like, how long is this tunnel? It's OK, bro.
- 1:04:38And like I'll literally sometimes be laughing in their
- 1:04:40face and be like, to be honest is as long as he wants it to be.
- 1:04:43Let's go listen, listen, listen, bro.
- 1:04:45That's true. It's exactly.
- 1:04:46What you're saying? Yeah, we see it from even the
- 1:04:49Old Testament. What did the Israel people do
- 1:04:51like the the Jewish people do the Israelites, they had to go
- 1:04:55through the desert. God said he declared as much
- 1:04:59time as he wants. Of course they disobeyed.
- 1:05:02But the point is that they had to go through all that the
- 1:05:05deserts because they came from a Pagan like ritual.
- 1:05:11They came from Egypt, they served different gods.
- 1:05:14They were used to that, so God had to put them in the desert.
- 1:05:18And he had to unlearn. They need to unlearn a lot of
- 1:05:20things. They needed to.
- 1:05:21Unlearn. Because let's be real here, it
- 1:05:23wasn't just Israelites with them.
- 1:05:24It was probably people from Egypt that were like, wait, who
- 1:05:27is this God you serve? I want to.
- 1:05:28I want to be. Part of this too.
- 1:05:29There's no way if you 100% some of them tagged along.
- 1:05:33Yeah, because they were like, whoa, whoa, this God is
- 1:05:35powerful. I want to go follow this one.
- 1:05:38And they had to unlearn a lot of things.
- 1:05:40Remind to remind you they were in the desert.
- 1:05:44That's how our walk with God is sometimes.
- 1:05:46We are in the desert, that's okay.
- 1:05:48You're right, these kids, you're right because of the instant
- 1:05:51gratification, they're like, well, how long is this tunnel?
- 1:05:53Uh huh, right. They're well, dude, I can't
- 1:05:58believe you brought this up, but I I will now officially share it
- 1:06:01because there's just some some things that happened to me
- 1:06:03spiritually that yeah, you could either understand it, you might
- 1:06:06not. I might sound ridiculous, and
- 1:06:07probably do sound ridiculous. Hey, lose your mind for.
- 1:06:10Yeah, lose your mind for. Christ.
- 1:06:11So there was one time, I think, I believe I told you, I came out
- 1:06:14of my body. That's right.
- 1:06:16And that's scriptural too, by the way.
- 1:06:17I did come out of my body and I ended up in a kind of like a
- 1:06:22dirt Rd. like kind of where like where you where you live in that
- 1:06:24area. It was like that and it was
- 1:06:26straight and there was like trees on either side and I had
- 1:06:29this huge harness like hauling a wait and I'm like, I'm
- 1:06:35continuing and I'm like, damn, this is long.
- 1:06:38This is long, right? When is this coming to?
- 1:06:40You know, I literally was saying like, when is this gone?
- 1:06:42And then I see people kind of going into this little
- 1:06:45shortcuts, like why don't I just go there too?
- 1:06:48As soon as I do that, my foot sinks into the ground to the
- 1:06:52sinking mud. I'm like, well, this is a bad
- 1:06:54idea going back, right? And I remember you were behind
- 1:06:58me also with the same harness hauling your weight as I'm like,
- 1:07:02I kept going. I just keep getting heavier.
- 1:07:04And then at some point far, dude, I see a dim of light and
- 1:07:09I'm getting closer and closer and closer and I and it's just
- 1:07:13going to sound so cringe because it's not, it's not what I
- 1:07:16expected. I I see myself with a wife and
- 1:07:22three kids, right? And I'm like, wow, that's crazy.
- 1:07:24Now, now that I'm desperate, none of that.
- 1:07:27But, you know, being a man, it's not easy.
- 1:07:31Yeah, single. You know, you have to undergo
- 1:07:33these hormones and emotion like, you know, it's just like until I
- 1:07:36got like, this is this is too much.
- 1:07:39But he's like, in other words, it's coming, but you just got to
- 1:07:42keep going. Yeah, you just got to keep
- 1:07:44going. That's it.
- 1:07:44So that's a that that reminded me of that experience.
- 1:07:47I was out of my body, by the way, that felt like 10 minutes
- 1:07:51and seven hours had passed in my body.
- 1:07:54Yeah, it's insane. But yeah, it reminded me of
- 1:07:57that. So yeah, you will.
- 1:08:00You are experiencing that and we'll experience more.
- 1:08:04Yeah, way more, yeah, definitely in college.
- 1:08:05But like, it's literally just like it's, it's literally in our
- 1:08:09human nature to like want to speed things up.
- 1:08:11Like we always want to get things done as quickly.
- 1:08:12Like we literally talked about that.
- 1:08:13Like that's why people are so inclined to use AI because it's
- 1:08:16such the simple option. Like Proverbs 21 Five says, the
- 1:08:19plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but
- 1:08:22everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty.
- 1:08:25Keywords hasty. Hasty.
- 1:08:27Yeah, you got to slow yourself down sometimes.
- 1:08:29Like, even though, like, I was obviously going to be
- 1:08:31uncomfortable, Yeah, to think about like, oh, this might take
- 1:08:34forever. It might take a long time.
- 1:08:35Like, dude, you're not on your own timing anyway, so it doesn't
- 1:08:38matter. They're all in God's time.
- 1:08:40Exactly. So to those listening, what
- 1:08:42would be that one thing you would tell them?
- 1:08:45Whoever listens to this about instant gratification, what
- 1:08:49would you say to them? I would just tell them that it's
- 1:08:53not about the gratification you get.
- 1:08:55I think the gratification we get from all these blessings and
- 1:08:57these privileges of being able to live present on this earth
- 1:09:00and being promised a life forever in heaven is, is
- 1:09:04gratification enough? And that the rest of it is just
- 1:09:08you surrounding your life to Christ.
- 1:09:09Because he already did that for us and there's no way we could
- 1:09:12repay it. But all, all we have to do and
- 1:09:15all he calls us to do is to put our best effort into it, put our
- 1:09:18110% into serving him, you know, spreading the gospel, whatever
- 1:09:23it might be. That 100% that everybody puts
- 1:09:26your 100% may not be the same 100% as the other one.
- 1:09:29Exactly. Yeah, I will meet you there.
- 1:09:31Yeah, he meets you there exactly 100.
- 1:09:33Percent we go through a different sacrifice compared to
- 1:09:36a Muslim in the Middle Eastern country.
- 1:09:41Their sacrifice is different from ours.
- 1:09:42Yeah, his 100% his best effort, meaning he has to let go of his
- 1:09:46family. Yeah, he just renounced Islam.
- 1:09:48Yeah, serving Christ, that 100% obvious is not going to be the
- 1:09:52same 100% of the other one, right?
- 1:09:54Right. But God meets them.
- 1:09:55Yes, 'cause God where they are. Yeah, 'cause God weighs the
- 1:09:57heart, He weighs it. Yes, absolutely.
- 1:10:00That's awesome. That's great.
- 1:10:01And also glory to God that you are going to play D1 soccer.
- 1:10:09Yeah. Hey, listen, you know what?
- 1:10:13God plans everything. Yes, there's to a certain extent
- 1:10:16that we know in part and we don't know in part, right?
- 1:10:19And that's OK. Yeah.
- 1:10:21Not knowing it's OK. Yeah.
- 1:10:23Not having controlled thing is OK.
- 1:10:25Exactly. Sometimes we have that dreadful
- 1:10:27feeling in our stomach of anxiety or whatever that may be.
- 1:10:30That just means that we think we're invincible.
- 1:10:33We're not. Yeah, exactly.
- 1:10:35You know, And sometimes, sometimes, you know what I mean?
- 1:10:39God is going to give us a reality, a reality check.
- 1:10:42Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know, so 100%.
- 1:10:45Now that's great. Hey, listen, man, I know you're
- 1:10:48where is this school located? Virginia.
- 1:10:49Virginia. Virginia, right?
- 1:10:51Listen, we know you're leaving, but if you ever decide to want
- 1:10:55to hop on an episode, dude, if you want to drive up calm.
- 1:10:59No, yeah, for sure, yeah. If you have someone that like,
- 1:11:04let's say, like all this person, they'll be cool to bring to the
- 1:11:06podcast. Yeah.
- 1:11:07You know you. Can bring them, yeah.
- 1:11:09Yeah, bring them. Yeah.
- 1:11:10Because I, I know, like, how do I say this?
- 1:11:14You can't have these conversations at a church.
- 1:11:16You could, but it's, it's not, you can't have these
- 1:11:20conversations at in a church setting, right?
- 1:11:21Yeah, they're too, they're deep. It requires a bit of a
- 1:11:27conversation that we need to engage in.
- 1:11:29Yeah. So if you have anyone that wants
- 1:11:31to be a part of the conversation, 100% yeah, bring
- 1:11:35the now. Mind you, let them know at least
- 1:11:39I like challenging, you know, making you think a little bit.
- 1:11:42Yeah, yeah. That's I like doing that.
- 1:11:45Yeah, dude, I think that's another huge issue is like is
- 1:11:48that like people have such a such a problem with people not
- 1:11:51having a filter Like bro, I'm like.
- 1:11:55What do you mean by what do? You mean more on Hinge than me?
- 1:11:57Like especially. Especially you are, yeah.
- 1:11:59Yeah, but like, dude, I just be saying stuff like shut up.
- 1:12:01Like, dude, like I always tell you this like, it sounds mad
- 1:12:04corny, but like some people hate me for it and some people love
- 1:12:06me for it. I'm just gonna be, I'm tell you
- 1:12:07what, like what I see. Yeah, that's how it is.
- 1:12:10And it's like exactly. I think some people like are a
- 1:12:13little a little too sensitive to be honest, but.
- 1:12:16But that's the culture though, and they've taken that away from
- 1:12:19us because there's AI. Don't know if you guys seen in
- 1:12:21memes like where like someone hits the the door from the 80s.
- 1:12:24Oh, you see that? Someone hits the door from the
- 1:12:2790s or someone from the 2000s, and then it just keeps getting
- 1:12:30weaker and weaker. That's literally what's
- 1:12:33literally happened. I thought that was funny.
- 1:12:34But yeah, I just say I just like to when I mean challenge people.
- 1:12:40It's not that I'm trying to get like, oh, I know more than you.
- 1:12:45I just want to know where you are.
- 1:12:46What can I do to help you right that to me, I'm going to
- 1:12:51challenge you a little. Bit yeah, I mean Paul, they say
- 1:12:53test all spirits. Yeah, Yeah, we are.
- 1:12:56We are supposed to keep each other accountable.
- 1:12:58I mean, let's say I do something wrong, right?
- 1:13:02I'd do something wrong. I'm hoping that you and you as a
- 1:13:08brother in Christ, I was supposed to correct me, right?
- 1:13:13I mean, honestly, yeah. That's how I know you guys love
- 1:13:16me in Christ. Now when that correction comes,
- 1:13:19if Oscar doesn't respond the way he should be, then how she
- 1:13:22should respond, then that's on me.
- 1:13:24Yeah, it's on you, exactly. But if I do reciprocate to that,
- 1:13:27that accountability, that's amazing.
- 1:13:31Why? Why?
- 1:13:32You know what I mean? No, exactly.
- 1:13:33And we, we need to practice that more amongst believers, yeah.
- 1:13:38And unbelievers help them become more faithful again.
- 1:13:43Amen. You know what I mean.
- 1:13:45Any last words, Brian? Well, you probably wrote down a
- 1:13:49lot of things, did you? Yeah, yeah, I have a lot,
- 1:13:51brother. There's so much to talk about.
- 1:13:53Even I have more. This is just one doc I have.
- 1:13:55I have more stuff and the more stuff he's bringing up, that's
- 1:13:57such another big issue is that, like, kids my age are full of a
- 1:14:01bunch of yes. Like they're surrounded by a
- 1:14:03bunch of yes men. It's like they go to their boys.
- 1:14:05They're like, dude, I just did this and this.
- 1:14:07Like, bro, is that bad? Nah, bro, you're good.
- 1:14:09Like, it's it's all fine. Like, bro, right.
- 1:14:11Like, bro, like be for real. Yeah.
- 1:14:14Seriously. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:14:15No, I mean, that's true. A lot of approval for man.
- 1:14:18Yeah. That's why Paul is like If I
- 1:14:20wanted to seek approval for man, I would not be serving Christ.
- 1:14:23No, he literally says that, Yeah.
- 1:14:24Yeah, he literally says that, Yeah.
- 1:14:25Yeah, but I seek after Christ. So, you know, and that's for me,
- 1:14:28like I don't ever go to anybody to if I did this or, or what
- 1:14:34not, right? I, I will literally I'll bank on
- 1:14:37like for example, my brother, if I do something that's completely
- 1:14:40out of pocket, he'll literally be like, dude, how was that?
- 1:14:44You know, I'm going to be like, yeah, Nah, you're right.
- 1:14:48Yeah, yeah. Yeah.
- 1:14:49No, no, exactly. Well, you know, he's like, no,
- 1:14:51no, no, no, no, no. But, and that doesn't mean
- 1:14:53you're right. You don't.
- 1:14:55Yeah. So this is the last thing I got
- 1:14:56to say too, because. Oh no, the conversation's been
- 1:15:00amazing. No, trust me, I I didn't dude,
- 1:15:01we've. Never gone this.
- 1:15:02Far and I've by the way, and I did not feel it to be honest,
- 1:15:06but yeah, like we'll have you back again, you know, Yeah,
- 1:15:10keep, keep those. Questions no dude, dude like
- 1:15:12let's say you leave right because obviously if you have a
- 1:15:14weekend that you know you can make it up here yeah come come
- 1:15:19like yo I'm coming all right we're.
- 1:15:21Yeah, yeah, yeah, absolutely. But I would, I would say this, I
- 1:15:25guess before we end, like, you know, a young guy actually to a
- 1:15:30young guy from, from Starbucks, you know, I sometimes I talk to
- 1:15:34him because, you know, he's seeking after Christ.
- 1:15:37You know, he says, he asked me, Yo, what's, what's the number
- 1:15:40one thing all Christians talk about?
- 1:15:41But they don't really do like love your neighbor as yourself.
- 1:15:45He's like, wait, bro, how'd you know?
- 1:15:47I was like, Nah, because like, how do I asked him, how do you
- 1:15:51love yourself? I was like, oh, and he's like,
- 1:15:52Oh, well, you know, I take care. Taking care of yourself, you
- 1:15:57know, eating healthy, all these things.
- 1:15:58You know, I'm like, interesting. Well, you want to know how I
- 1:16:02love myself? I love myself so much that I
- 1:16:05deny myself. So in that same way, I will
- 1:16:08display to the other person too. And I would tell them, deny
- 1:16:10yourself and repent. Yeah.
- 1:16:13And don't think that way. Yeah.
- 1:16:14Well, that's how I love him. That's exactly how I love him
- 1:16:17because I love myself that way. That that's real love.
- 1:16:20Yeah, exactly. Yeah, cuz you, if he's saying
- 1:16:22you love your neighbor as you love yourself, So there she's
- 1:16:26been saying there, you do love yourself, right?
- 1:16:29But it's the love you love yourself enough that you
- 1:16:33recognize that you have to deny. Deny yourself because you love
- 1:16:35God so much. So in that same way you also
- 1:16:38display to your name exactly that's.
- 1:16:39Great, that's good. That's why the first commandment
- 1:16:41is like the second commandment. Yeah, that's right.
- 1:16:44That's right. Yeah.
- 1:16:45So, yeah, no, there's so much to talk about.
- 1:16:47I know you have a lot. I know you do.
- 1:16:49That's good stuff. And.
- 1:16:51And, and listen. And if any of Jacob's friends
- 1:16:54listen to this, do not lose heart.
- 1:16:57Yeah, OK. The spare, the boundary of
- 1:17:00despair, if you will, if you want to call it that, cross it.
- 1:17:02You're going to be OK. You're going to be fine.
- 1:17:04You're going to be fine. And, and whoever listens to
- 1:17:08this, keep your eyes on the Kingdom.
- 1:17:12Yep, that's it 100%. Keep your eyes on the Kingdom.
- 1:17:16And if you don't understand what God is or what is this, don't
- 1:17:21lose heart. Yeah, don't lose heart and
- 1:17:23remember that if you pray to God about something, do not doubt it
- 1:17:28because then you fall into that trap of being double minded.
- 1:17:31Yeah, and if you do feel like you, I need help to believe in
- 1:17:35this. Ask God.
- 1:17:37Yes. For for ask him to help you.
- 1:17:39Have faith. 100% it literally says that in scripture.
- 1:17:42Literally don't just go on a rabbit hole like I doubt this
- 1:17:45this this can't be it. Yeah.
- 1:17:47Listen, doubting is OK Ask God to help you.
- 1:17:52Yes. Have faith.
- 1:17:53Exactly. Break that barrier to break that
- 1:17:56100%. You know what I mean?
- 1:17:57So it was it was a pleasure, Jacob, I hope that when do you
- 1:18:00leave this weekend, Tuesday. Yeah, hopefully.
- 1:18:03Have a safe strip and glorify God and everything and every
- 1:18:10single thing you do, do it for the glory of God.
- 1:18:15Yes. And you know what I was telling
- 1:18:18Oscar this. I'm glad you came because you're
- 1:18:21gonna go into college. God forbid.
- 1:18:25It seems like you love God. It seems like you're affirm.
- 1:18:27I'm just saying, God forbid you were to ever like, strive away.
- 1:18:33You have this podcast. One day you listen to it and
- 1:18:35it'll remind you, Yeah, all the words you said, all the words we
- 1:18:38said. But I have faith.
- 1:18:41I have hope that you will remain and you can always use this
- 1:18:44podcast as reference and to remind yourself like, Oh yeah,
- 1:18:47that's right. I remember saying that word.
- 1:18:48God did reveal that to me. Yeah.
- 1:18:50So it's I'm glad you came. Yeah, there will be moments of
- 1:18:53discouragement. Yeah, that that happens. 100%
- 1:18:55yeah. But I like that idea of the of
- 1:18:57the podcast. I mean, like I think times like
- 1:18:59now it's, it's like it's important to get creative with
- 1:19:02it. Like, you know what I'm saying?
- 1:19:03Like you spread the gospel, you spread it through podcasts,
- 1:19:06clothing, music, whatever, like clubs, anything.
- 1:19:09And it's like like whenever I'm wearing like my own merchandise,
- 1:19:11you know what I'm saying? Like sometimes I'll just be
- 1:19:14like, I'll be channeling, I'll be doing something.
- 1:19:15I look at my shirt and I'm just like, I literally have a shirt
- 1:19:18that on the back that says like, Jesus died for me and now I live
- 1:19:20for him. And it's just like, just like a
- 1:19:22quick reminder, right? Right, right.
- 1:19:23Yeah, That's good. That's good.
- 1:19:25Yeah, I know. And another thing to like, for
- 1:19:30example, this podcast, you know, I know, I know he struggles with
- 1:19:34this sometimes when it comes to ambition, his podcast, even if
- 1:19:40just two or three. Listen to it.
- 1:19:42That's awesome. Yeah.
- 1:19:43Even if two or three of your friends get to listen that to us
- 1:19:46is that's a victory to me because literally it's podcast
- 1:19:49like two people got baptized because of it.
- 1:19:52And that's glory to God. It's.
- 1:19:53Nothing to do with it. No, actually 3, three.
- 1:19:55Yeah, three people. Trust me, if it was up to me, I
- 1:19:57would not be doing this. No, no, no.
- 1:19:59Yeah. And if it were up to us, we
- 1:20:02would be doing the whole algorithm thing.
- 1:20:04And if I wanted to really, like, there's so many things.
- 1:20:07But you know what? I'm glad you have your own
- 1:20:09merchandise. Let that happen on its own
- 1:20:11organically, because there's so many things we can do to
- 1:20:15artificially blow it up because it's possible.
- 1:20:17Trust me. But it's just better if it has
- 1:20:20that organic touch from God. Yes.
- 1:20:22Because now more than ever, now that we live in an artificial,
- 1:20:24systematical world, yes, Yeah. We've lost the taste of organic
- 1:20:28meaning, right? When God just lets things happen
- 1:20:31on their own time. Yeah.
- 1:20:33We're so used to the speed to the let's make it happen.
- 1:20:36Now, there's nothing wrong with that, but there's limitations.
- 1:20:40Yes, because if this podcast is from man, it's going to die out,
- 1:20:46but if it is from God, it'll live out.
- 1:20:48It'll continue forever. God will pluck us out, put
- 1:20:50someone to continue, yes. So it'll be that way.
- 1:20:53Yes, so that's how I see it. If it is from God, it'll live
- 1:20:56out. Yeah, so you want to close
- 1:21:01prayer? Close us in the prayer.
- 1:21:02Close it, of course. Go for it.
- 1:21:05Lord, I pray that you keep protecting us.
- 1:21:07You protect all three of us that are here doing this podcast,
- 1:21:09everybody listening and everybody that isn't listening
- 1:21:12at this moment as well. I pray that you just fill us
- 1:21:16with wisdom, fill us with your health.
- 1:21:17That way we may keep discipling and be ready for when it is your
- 1:21:20time to come. We're here to serve you and
- 1:21:22we're here to surrender to you. The only reason that we're here
- 1:21:25is because of you. So we want to display that with
- 1:21:27not only our words because that's easy, but we want to
- 1:21:29display with our actions as well.
- 1:21:31Or we pray that you allow us to keep living the lives we're
- 1:21:34living, splitting up in different directions with me
- 1:21:37leaving the college and thousands of other kids leaving
- 1:21:40the college as well. Some people are graduating from
- 1:21:428th grade, going to high school. Some people are going from high
- 1:21:45school to college, and other people are leaving college and
- 1:21:47going into the real world, finding a job.
- 1:21:50Everybody's in a different stage of their life, but we just, we
- 1:21:54all keep our trust in you and we know that everything will be OK.
- 1:21:56And just like we said during this podcast, everything will be
- 1:22:00fine whether it feels like it or not.
- 1:22:02We have peace and knowing that you will take care of us always
- 1:22:05and forever. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
- 1:22:07Amen. All right, guys, till next one.
- 1:22:09This will be out as soon as possible also.
- 1:22:13Yeah, go. Sorry, sorry.
- 1:22:14One last thing too. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:22:16We have an organization. OK.
- 1:22:18Yeah, right. We have a clothing and a book
