- 0:14[SPEAKER_00]: One has the case of Beria Taco, is the Alpastor tacos, the guacamole, and the margaritas.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_00]: And then the other one also has the margaritas.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_00]: has the birion nachos has the chicken alpestor burritos with the crispy melted cheese is a rare item and the case of birion burritos so uh... either place that this you can go out to dinner and not go to a football game on monday and you won't get a meal better than this nobody is doing what plus still is doing they're making their tortillas in house daily from scratch and you're getting that as stadium food this is not stadium food this is fantastic
- 0:48[SPEAKER_00]: may kind of moderno food.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_00]: And if you're not going to the game, go watch the game.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_00]: At Presto, if you're near a location, there's one in conquered, there's Santa Clara, there's Southern California's locations, including in La Jolla and Orange County.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_00]: It's the perfect place.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_00]: I tell you about it.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_00]: The vibe is great.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_00]: It's great for date night.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_00]: It's great for boys night.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_00]: It's great for business lunch.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_00]: They've got it all.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_00]: The drinks, the TVs, the food.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_00]: it is perfect.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, really, it's, it's, I don't know how it could be any better.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_00]: The Adler brothers are big nine or fans.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_00]: They nailed it with Pustle.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_00]: They know exactly what they're doing.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody that goes loves.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_00]: It tells me they love it.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_00]: My personal recommendation is the short rib, case of Beria Taco, the Flame and Yon Taco.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe get the mango margarita, the Cadillac margarita.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_00]: Whatever you choose, you're going to love it.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_00]: I promise you, and if you're going to the game, on Monday night, this is the place to eat.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_00]: Enjoy it.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you to Pustle for the support.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_00]: and let's get on with the quick show today.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_00]: According to the reporting brand and I, you can give it up.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_00]: Given up the fight, clear the path.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want my money back for next year or the money that I have an earned yet for next year.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_00]: I just want out.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_00]: But have the 40 matters given up the fight.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think they
- 1:53[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see him play another game for them.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think one and a half week old son will ever see Brandon and I you play in the red and gold.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_00]: But think about Jimmy Garoppolo.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_00]: That's the first place my mind goes when everybody said cut him get rid of them.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_00]: It's over.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_00]: Be done with it.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_00]: This is a spectacle.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_00]: He's back here throwing behind the league.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_00]: They kept him and tried to trade them and kept them and kept them and kept them and kept them.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_00]: What about just this is too much of a distraction?
- 2:15[SPEAKER_00]: They kept them and then it turned out they needed them, which I don't think it's going to get there.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_00]: with Brandon, I use.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_00]: Although you do imagine a world where the night or somehow Jennings has gone, they didn't get a receiver in the offseason.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_00]: They're holding Brandon, I use so they can cut them post June one for just $8 million, which everybody says is a win.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_00]: Although I don't think they're totally poppin bottles at four dinners HQ, even though financially it's a win.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_00]: But it's not, you're losing a good player potentially.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_00]: You're losing a good player here.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_00]: Not potentially.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_00]: But they held Jimmy and held Jimmy and held Jimmy because they wanted something for
- 2:49[SPEAKER_00]: And I do want to, right now, the receiving, you know, silver report is they could cut them.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_00]: It's probably over and he'll go play for somebody else.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_00]: And it's a win that you're not paying them 26 million dollars next year, which is true.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_00]: But are they really going to give up that easy?
- 3:08[SPEAKER_00]: Or are they going to hold on a little bit, let this thing play out a little bit?
- 3:13[SPEAKER_00]: I'd be surprised if we see a report like Sunday.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_00]: Monday from shepher, you know, Monday and I football.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_00]: So you could get like a shepher Monday, something.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_00]: The night is just going to cut them.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_00]: It'll all be over.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_00]: Clean break.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe that's not historically the way this stuff has gone though.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_00]: They try to squeeze an ounce.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_00]: As you should try to squeeze a pick out.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_00]: Now, is there a pick to be squeezed?
- 3:39[SPEAKER_00]: And are you willing to pay for it?
- 3:41[SPEAKER_00]: How much dead cap are you willing to take on to do a deal?
- 3:46[SPEAKER_00]: for a pick and is the pick good enough to take on a bigger dead cap hit and do a trade before June 1.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think so.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_00]: Like if you're going to get a top 10 pick form, then maybe you'd take more dead money on in order to do it.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_00]: But that's probably not going to happen here.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_00]: But it doesn't mean they don't try something.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_00]: Like you want to go to a particular place.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_00]: Remember are you trying to dictate terms from a trade?
- 4:10[SPEAKER_00]: As they had a trade done with Cleveland,
- 4:16[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, I think part of him giving up this fight is that he doesn't want to be dictated.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_00]: He's been in this boat, like you're going to trade me or you're, you know, only places you want to trade me to, but not where I want to go.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_00]: I'll give up this fight, but I'm going to get the pick.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, I think that's, that's his attitude, which, you know, we talked about this in basketball for years with Kevin Durant.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_00]: There is a point, not now, now some people want to make the most amount of money they can make every single time.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_00]: But there is a point where you've made so much money.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_00]: that your freedom of choice is worth giving up a little bit of cash.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_00]: And that's the place that Brandon I use has arrived.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, receivers with the exception of a couple at the very top,
- 4:57[SPEAKER_00]: tend to be like airport food.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_00]: Everything's overpriced.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_00]: So the question is, are you going to pay $28 for a salad that's worth $15 or are you going to pay $18 for a salad that's worth six?
- 5:10[SPEAKER_00]: At the end of the day, I used was overpriced, but he still was a really good player before he got hurt.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_00]: And sometimes you can fix relationships and sometimes you can't.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_00]: And it takes everybody and it felt like he didn't really want to totally fix it.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know that they, that everybody was ever going to totally forgive him for the way things played out.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_00]: And if you're going to have any resistance, it takes total buy-in from everybody to bury a hatchet.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_00]: Like, Jennings, John Jennings, who we talked about this on Thursday, I said, maybe I, maybe I, you could trade it in Jennings coming back next year.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_00]: Do you remember that from a few days ago?
- 5:48[SPEAKER_00]: People said, I called it crazy idea.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_00]: Now, Jennings might still be too expensive
- 5:56[SPEAKER_00]: in the offseason, like it still may not totally pencil.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_00]: But I do believe in Jennings and the 49ers ability to bury the hatchet with one another.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_00]: The IU-1, bad after the Super Bowl, never really got better, stayed together for the money, still tried to trade them.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_00]: It was just too much for everybody, too much betrayal.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_00]: You know, the 49ers play the Panthers on Monday night.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_00]: And I do think that there's a world,
- 6:26[SPEAKER_00]: that I thought one of the other players and, you know, Kyle Shanahan, the story after the draft telling his wife telling his family, we're going to get our guy, Mike Hill Williams, at number 11.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_00]: So they did, they got that guy.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_00]: I do think there's a world and I said this after the draft where they were trying to get or were considering moving up or trying to find a spot, figuring out, couldn't we get tets of role in McMillan?
- 6:53[SPEAKER_00]: I saw a tweet in the haze, I don't think it was earlier this week.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_00]: where Kyle was asked about, you know, how much worked did you, how much did you really like tetrahol and McMillan draft.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_00]: He said a lot.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_00]: I said that after you go back, check the tape, I said after the draft, like this was not just some made up thing that the 49ers like tetrahol and McMillan, the 49ers really liked tetrahol and McMillan.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, there weren't a lot of spots to go get them.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_00]: They might have had to go to eight with Carolina to get them and Carolina like them.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_00]: So that deal obviously didn't happen
- 7:28[SPEAKER_00]: whatever.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_00]: But it's different than some of the years passed really.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, if only the Niners had to like Josh Allen or if only the Niners had liked, went to point of time this conversation happened.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_00]: Some of you're old enough to remember Dishon Watson.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_00]: But they didn't really do the work on it.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_00]: They didn't really say this guy they liked and Kyle confirmed it this week and I said it.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_00]: right after the draft.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_00]: So they've been trying to replace, and then they draft Ricky.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_00]: They have been planning to replace Brandenite youth.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_00]: Basically, since after the deal was done, it's what it feels like.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_00]: And it's felt that like it's been so public, but they haven't really done it yet.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_00]: Ricky Piersall at his best at the beginning of this year looked like was not looked like was one of the best receivers in the NFL.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_00]: There's no doubt about it.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_00]: But he has to prove that he can stay healthy for a full year.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_00]: Joanne Jennings is not replacing Brana and IU.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_00]: Christian McAfrey plays a different position.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_00]: George Kittles plays a different position.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_00]: Jordan Lockins.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, but they're still trying to, they've been trying to replace them.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_00]: While he's here, they haven't replaced him yet.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_00]: And I think Ricky could absolutely do it.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_00]: If he's healthy, he'll check every box if he's healthy.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, this is ongoing.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_00]: And if you're the 49ers, or if we're us as we are,
- 9:12[SPEAKER_00]: it would feel a little out of character.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_00]: So I mean, tell me if I'm missing examples, I've just let them go.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, bygons or bygons, let's shake hands and move on.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_00]: But, you know, something tells me the communications are not exactly flowing right now between the two.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_00]: And rightfully the 40-minor's history has been, if there is an ounce of value to squeeze out of this transaction, we're gonna try and squeeze it out of this transaction.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_00]: We're not just gonna sit back and be satisfied that we're saving a bunch of money.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_00]: But the reason I say that not everybody is celebrating, and I mean, I do think you have to, because I do think you have to, just because it feels like it never is gonna get back to where it once was, right?
- 10:00[SPEAKER_00]: If you say, well, if he's healthy, X, Y, Z, it just feels like he doesn't wanna do it here.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_00]: And you can't force somebody to fit back in if they don't want to.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, the relationship may be at hangs over the whole, the whole organization in a way that prevents them from being exactly who they want to be, but he's still a good player, overpriced, yes, injured, yes, I still think he's a good player.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_00]: The irony of the whole thing is he should, he should have taken the New England deal.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_00]: Now, he might say, no, I shouldn't have.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to walk away with like $40 million and I'm going to get to pick my place and maybe it'll be warm.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it will be.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it's worth at all.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_00]: All the suffering to get to choose your destination.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_00]: Some, I do respect that actually.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I'm going to give up money just so I can be in control of where I go and what I do.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_00]: which once you've made a bunch of money, you can do.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_00]: I think this about the NBA, for sure, really, any sport, but the NBA's unique baseball, too, because of guaranteed contracts.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_00]: But when you're middle class, which is what most of your sport is the middle class and then the lower class, not the, not the Steph Curry's and the Patrick Mahomes's.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_00]: When they make so much money,
- 11:36[SPEAKER_00]: that they can just act like the superstars because I'm making $50 million a year and I'm, who's the guy that I have been watching at King's Basketball this year?
- 11:45[SPEAKER_00]: You watch a lot of King's Basketball.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_00]: Who's the guy that they got, Zach Levine?
- 11:51[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, maybe he's been good, he might be a great, I don't know, I don't know if I have a buddy who belongs to the same golf club, I hear a good guy.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_00]: But when you're making $50 million a year, if your foot kind of hurts,
- 12:04[SPEAKER_00]: And Zach Levine didn't, I don't know, that his foot hurts or that anything has happened with him.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just saying like, when you make generational money, it doesn't matter if you're middle of the pack in terms of NBA earners, 50 million dollars in the real world is $50 million, but it's actually like $275 million based on the years of your guaranteed contract.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_00]: You can make decision for yourself that don't prioritize maximizing your dollar value.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_00]: So the fact that I use is doing it and going, you know what?
- 12:34[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to squeeze.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to be miserable.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_00]: We could debate whether he should be or shouldn't be.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm not going to be miserable if this thing started right after the Super Bowl, remember, it's crazy.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm not going to be miserable.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm going to give up money.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_00]: Again, it's kind of easy, because you and I know, even an injured brand and I, you, is going to go make generational money.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_00]: There's you go, the other thing that's kind of interesting
- 13:04[SPEAKER_00]: He would also maybe benefit from coming back to play this year.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_00]: And they on the field would benefit from him coming back to play this year.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_00]: This thing's, anyone who had their antenna up that like this thing would fight you because kind of weird, why isn't he?
- 13:19[SPEAKER_00]: Why is there no news about odds?
- 13:20[SPEAKER_00]: The knee injury is very severe, and it is.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_00]: And if you're the nighers, it's in your best interest.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_00]: Even if you love them and he's coming back, fully healthy to your team, to slow play it, to make sure that there's more time left on the contract, you need them, fully back to himself.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_00]: You're not gonna rush them back this year.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_00]: Now, all that stuff I just said, the preamble to that is not the case, right?
- 13:43[SPEAKER_00]: And if you're him, you wanna make sure that you're fully healthy in 2026.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_00]: Cause maybe you're signing, maybe you're playing on a one-year deal.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_00]: If you really wanna control your future,
- 13:52[SPEAKER_00]: prove that you're worth a big contract and get cause I mean what is he 27 I mean when they signed him he was like the the second or third youngest member of the offense but I could see it's you know just thinking about kind of crazy so March 19th March 17th 98 he'll turn 28th if you're him do you sound a one year contract play out a one year deal
- 14:18[SPEAKER_00]: as a 28-year-old, and then try to sign a big hunt, prove that you're healthy inside of a big one at 29?
- 14:23[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, we'll see what he does.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_00]: But, you know, there is a world where it benefits him to come back and play this year, and show other teams like, no, I'm, I'm ready to roll.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_00]: But it, it doesn't, he could actually help them and help himself, but it doesn't quite feel like that's happening.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_00]: In George Kiddell said, I think Calacammy
- 14:48[SPEAKER_00]: A kid will set as much like we've got everybody we're healthy right now like this is the squad.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, with Monday night football coming up and then I was playing on it, I would expect more news on this Sunday morning, but a Monday, I would pay attention like Monday pregame what chef they're saying about this because there will be more and I think the overall take I have
- 15:13[SPEAKER_00]: the first report makes it seem kind of cut and dry.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_00]: I know that's just, oh, okay, they're gonna cut them and everyone will go their separate ways and that'll be that.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, that could be where it ends up.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_00]: There's probably the most likely conclusion, but there will be blood between now.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_00]: Like stuff's gonna, it's not gonna be quite that simple.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_00]: That's my prediction.
