- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, guys, it is our last break of the day.
- 0:03Speaker 1: And Steve, before you get to your closing remarks, we
- 0:06Speaker 1: have a caller, male caller for you.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Hey, what's up, Steve? What's up? Morning show piece? Some blessings? Hey, Steve,
- 0:14Speaker 2: I's got a real quick question to play. Man. First,
- 0:16Speaker 2: I want to say I respect you. So what you
- 0:18Speaker 2: do in the morning, before the show and after the show,
- 0:21Speaker 2: your close remarks and everything. Man, I know if it
- 0:24Speaker 2: helps me, I know it helps a lot of other people. Man,
- 0:26Speaker 2: But I want to tell you that I admire the
- 0:28Speaker 2: fact that you you made it in life, you know
- 0:31Speaker 2: what I'm saying. With the comedy, with TV show, radio show,
- 0:34Speaker 2: and everything other ventures that you got going on. You
- 0:37Speaker 2: made it, but you always kept your relationship with God,
- 0:40Speaker 2: and you made it. You made it seen, you made
- 0:42Speaker 2: it not seen, but you you let people know that
- 0:45Speaker 2: you you ain't nothing change. You steal in it. You
- 0:48Speaker 2: know what I'm saying. You didn't forget about it or whatever.
- 0:50Speaker 3: Man.
- 0:50Speaker 2: So I admired that, man, that you ain't forget and
- 0:53Speaker 2: you still praising the meeting though that you made a
- 0:55Speaker 2: lot of people are stopped. A lot of people are
- 0:58Speaker 2: stopped praising them. After they get what they need to be.
- 1:00Speaker 2: But if you ain't did that yet and you still
- 1:02Speaker 2: share it, and I believe that's why he continues to
- 1:04Speaker 2: bless you. Man. But what would you say to somebody
- 1:07Speaker 2: like me that I feel like everything I touched fails
- 1:10Speaker 2: and I'm trying to do good. I'm a man of integrity, man,
- 1:12Speaker 2: I appreciate people. I love to see people grow. I
- 1:15Speaker 2: love to see people doing good, even if it's better
- 1:17Speaker 2: than me. And it just seemed like everything And trust me,
- 1:21Speaker 2: I'm praying. I'm praying, and I keep them in my life, man,
- 1:24Speaker 2: But it just seems like where I get that motivation?
- 1:27Speaker 2: Whether I get that, Where do I get that and
- 1:30Speaker 2: get me over the humped and to do the things
- 1:34Speaker 2: that I need to do, not just to meet before
- 1:36Speaker 2: my family. Man. I appreciate y'all. Y'all keep doing what
- 1:38Speaker 2: you're doing. I know you're gonna do that anyway. Peace,
- 1:40Speaker 2: love and blessing.
- 1:42Speaker 3: Wow. And I really can't hear the sincerity in it
- 1:47Speaker 3: because I've been in that position, man. You know, listen
- 1:52Speaker 3: you Okay, let me address the first one. Oh. First
- 1:58Speaker 3: of all, I keep God in my life because God
- 2:02Speaker 3: is the source. He has been my source for everything everything, man,
- 2:09Speaker 3: and it has really kept me in some trying times.
- 2:13Speaker 3: So he was my source to get here. He is
- 2:18Speaker 3: my source to stay here, and he is my source
- 2:22Speaker 3: to continue. See. Once I understood that he was the
- 2:27Speaker 3: source that cleared it up for me, so I don't
- 2:31Speaker 3: have to switch tracks. So that's been important. I appreciate
- 2:34Speaker 3: you recognizing that. Second part of the question, man, is
- 2:38Speaker 3: when you feel like everything you do fails. Bruh. That
- 2:43Speaker 3: is such a part of the process. I can't even
- 2:46Speaker 3: tell you. It's like, you know, I used to be
- 2:49Speaker 3: in sales. I used to work insurance company, right, and
- 2:52Speaker 3: I was reading a book one time about being a
- 2:56Speaker 3: better salesman. Right. Every time you hear a know, it
- 3:01Speaker 3: moved you one step closer to the yes, because everybody
- 3:05Speaker 3: not gonna tell you no. Everybody you know Kentucky Fried Chicken.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Colonel Sanders had this recipe since he was young. He
- 3:14Speaker 3: was a very young man when he had this chicken
- 3:16Speaker 3: recipe for KFC. He took it everywhere and everybody told
- 3:25Speaker 3: him no. He didn't get his first franchise till he
- 3:28Speaker 3: was in his sixties. He was old. You see the
- 3:33Speaker 3: picture on the bucket that that's the picture they had
- 3:37Speaker 3: when he hit it. When when Colonel Sanders made it,
- 3:41Speaker 3: that was the picture they had. He had no young picture. So, bro,
- 3:49Speaker 3: I want you to understand that failure is a part
- 3:51Speaker 3: of the process and it will happen to you far
- 3:55Speaker 3: more times than than than succeeding. I have failed far
- 4:01Speaker 3: more times than I have succeeded. Michael Jordan has missed
- 4:06Speaker 3: more game winning shots than he has made. Tiger Woods
- 4:11Speaker 3: has missed more putts than he has made. If a
- 4:17Speaker 3: professional baseball player goes to the plate ten times and
- 4:21Speaker 3: he only succeeds three times out of the ten, he's
- 4:26Speaker 3: batting three hundred. This boy is going to be a
- 4:29Speaker 3: millionaire many times over because and they don't pay him
- 4:34Speaker 3: for the missus. They don't punish him for the missus.
- 4:42Speaker 3: They pay him for them. Three times he do hit it.
- 4:47Speaker 3: And that's how it's going to work out for your life.
- 4:49Speaker 3: So I know it's discouraging, man, when you are trying
- 4:53Speaker 3: desperately to something that hit and you are and you
- 4:58Speaker 3: know you praying, and you know you're righteou brother, and
- 5:00Speaker 3: all like that. Just state the course, man stayed a course. Man,
- 5:05Speaker 3: I didn't get a car in my name man till
- 5:07Speaker 3: I was almost thirty eight years old. Thirty eight man,
- 5:14Speaker 3: that's crazy. I did not have the ability. I couldn't
- 5:17Speaker 3: go nowhere with no credit or nothing and get nothing.
- 5:23Speaker 3: I'm telling you, man, I failed so many times. But
- 5:26Speaker 3: failure is a wonderful teacher. You learn your best lessons
- 5:31Speaker 3: in failure. You know't winning.
- 5:35Speaker 2: Winning.
- 5:37Speaker 3: I tell you what, man, go outside, take a golf
- 5:39Speaker 3: club and take a ball, and take it ten feet
- 5:43Speaker 3: from the cup, and take twenty five putts at that
- 5:49Speaker 3: ten foot range. Watch how many times you hit that
- 5:52Speaker 3: ball in. I'm telling you right now, pros rolls from
- 6:00Speaker 3: fifteen feet away from the cup are not even fifty
- 6:04Speaker 3: percent from fifteen They like twenty eight percent from fifteen
- 6:10Speaker 3: feet something like that. Brod the just hanging there. Man,
- 6:15Speaker 3: It's gonna come. If you keep praying, if you keep
- 6:18Speaker 3: using God as the source, you will succeed. You will succeed, guarantee.
- 6:26Speaker 3: Keep faith, young homie, stay with it, don't ever give up.
- 6:30Speaker 3: God is coming. You don't never know when he's gonna
- 6:32Speaker 3: flip the lights with y'all. Have a great day today.
- 6:34Speaker 3: Talk to God today. He would absolutely love to hear
- 6:37Speaker 3: from you. Y'all, stay in peace, hanging that Doggie.
