- 0:27Welcome to the Pop Culture Junkie Podcast. I am Nicole here with my fellow junkies, Olivia, and Shauna.
- 0:34And unfortunately this is going to be my last episode with Pop Culture Junkie. I know.
- 0:41It's so weird. We're the OGs Nicole. I know.
- 0:45I could always come back, but she's just on her jet-set lifestyle. It'll be my last weekly.
- 0:51You better come back at least like a couple times. Just invite me.
- 0:57Just invite me. And I'll go. There we go.
- 0:59Deal. There we go. When you're not on some fantasy vacation, we all have a back.
- 1:04I'm lovingly. I know. We've been through so much Nicole.
- 1:06And now we started in what 2020? Yeah.
- 1:09Over the pandemic. What happened in 2020? I don't know.
- 1:14You know, it was weird. I don't remember. I don't remember.
- 1:16For some reason I didn't have a job.
- 1:20I never left the house. And I answered an ad for podcast auditions.
- 1:26I know. It's been a long ride. It's been a long ride. We've been through a lot of
- 1:30a lot of co-hosts. Yes. Beautiful four years. It's been great. Do you have any highlight?
- 1:35Oh my gosh, she doesn't. No, I did. I just get it. She's like, oh, I really liked
- 1:43Fan Fusion last year. Well, that was so fun. That was really fun.
- 1:47Was that when I brought you my white claw? It's a finish. It was that two years ago.
- 1:52Oh, I don't think so. You were in fan fusion and I brought you my drink and you were like,
- 1:57Oh god, I'm going to spend two years ago. So I didn't drink last year.
- 2:03Okay, that was two years ago then. That was so fun.
- 2:06She doesn't remember that one. She's like, I just, I guess it must have been two years ago.
- 2:10Because I blacked out of your album. I don't remember that at all.
- 2:13You don't know. I was seeing that like game show. And I couldn't finish my drink.
- 2:19And I was like, Nicole, take it. You like took it. Then we were up there and you were like,
- 2:22sure. Okay, it's coming back to me a little bit. I loved when we were on
- 2:30Brad Perry show. Yeah, that's so fun. We were on TV. Arizona Daily Mix. I love Arizona Daily Mix
- 2:38with Brad Perry. Yeah, you too. And I really loved our guests. The one that always stands out to
- 2:44me is Whitney Peyton. Oh my god, I love Whitney. I loved her. She was always great.
- 2:48She's so fun. Yeah, there's been great memories. I feel like we were in our escape room.
- 2:53That was like the first time we met each other. Oh my gosh. Yeah.
- 2:55We didn't make it out, but we didn't. We failed.
- 2:59I think we had one more clue to do. We would have made it out. When we first started the podcast,
- 3:04the producers like, we're like, we were three strangers, three strangers thrown together.
- 3:11And that's even happens into an escape room. It'll work out. No, we didn't. No, we literally had one more
- 3:16clue to finger out. We had a great time. It's so fun. But we ran out. We had our masks on. Yeah.
- 3:22I was good. I forgot about that. Oh my gosh. What? What? What comics? Oh, when we, when we
- 3:31comics, yeah, comic X, we felt it was like comic book themed restaurant and they made us order food
- 3:38every time. I ordered a bloody Mary every time. I think I got sweet potato fries. I did consider
- 3:44about us food. I don't remember what we would order. I think you had order something sweet potato
- 3:49fries and a bloody Mary. Yeah. It was always my coach. Okay. Interesting. That's great.
- 3:54This sweet potato fries kind of slapped. Was it busy? Yeah. I called you guys to record it
- 3:58there. The first three episodes were busy because it was brand new. Yeah. We recorded upstairs and it
- 4:02was loud every single time. It was star wars themed. And we had like this tape that we'd block off
- 4:08and everyone would be like, do not enter recording in session. Wow. There was a telepath. We was
- 4:14right there. We'd have like your people sometimes staring at us. It's like hello. Because you're someone
- 4:18with like a really strong stream. Who? Who? Who? Who? Who? Who? You know, the ambiance. The ambiance
- 4:30everybody wants on a podcast. Oh my god. And then we had to move into our homes because they COVID
- 4:35really. Yeah. It became a thing. And then of course, Olympus Games, which recently,
- 4:43kind of went out of business and now they're renaming themselves. Now they're called Godzilla
- 4:47Games. I think it's probably the same concept. Like Andrew still goes there sometimes to play cards
- 4:52and stuff. Well, in honor of your very last episode, we had to do something special for you.
- 5:00Something Nicole themed. We have a stripper. It's the Howard Stern show. It's that guy from NCIS.
- 5:10Wait, no, a lot order SVU. It's that guy from SVU. I would die. Wait, what's his name again?
- 5:17Chris Maloney. Oh my god. It's Chris. You must have respect on his name. Respect and Marish
- 5:22get how to say. Listen, I would prefer her more than him. Yeah. Same. I think we are. Yes.
- 5:30God, he's so fine. He is so fine too. They both are. Yeah. Can you imagine we just get them both
- 5:34and here to strip you know, then we'd really get in trouble. Who? Everyone. I'd be like hold on,
- 5:43keep pause. I have to go Haley. Or we we have to call Haley. We've spent Haley on FaceTime.
- 5:47Yeah. She just pops off from the curtain. Yeah. It's Haley's stripper. Sorry, Haley. I love you. I know.
- 5:54Yeah. We have something special plan. Go ahead and look at what are we talking? Are you singing me a song?
- 6:02We had no we wanted to. What you want us to? We were here today just to say we love sports
- 6:13and we love you. So we're gonna talk about sports movies because we really like your
- 6:21balls movies. I was gonna say boobies. But I want you to say it's a balls. We like sports balls. You have
- 6:29nice balls. You have nice boobies. We love you on the podcast. We're gonna talk about sports balls movies
- 6:39and we hope you come back real fast. There you go. This is her transatlantic adjacent way. Sure
- 6:46home. You come back soon. Neck hall. You really have lost your transatlantic accent in the last
- 6:52month or two and I fear that I just re-ignited it. You did. I think it was while my foot was broken.
- 6:57And now that I'm healing. I'm like I'm feeling better. I think that's where we all was. That one bone in your foot.
- 7:03That's my transatlantic bone. You pushed me off didn't you? Yeah. So I need to push you off
- 7:08another bunk bed. I'm just gonna get you to lose. Let me sit you know when you heard it here.
- 7:12Neck hall. We're gonna talk about sports movies. Yes. I know we do. Why don't you start us off? All right.
- 7:24If in case anyone couldn't understand the part we were saying. No call of sports movies for her final
- 7:30episode. We're gonna talk about our favorite sports films. Here it is. Yes. So I thought for the
- 7:34last episode we talk about sports balls. Sports ball. Yeah. So there's not a lot of air. I mean
- 7:43there's a lot of airplanes but they're sad. Oh my god. We all just watched airplane. Oh that is
- 7:49a great movie. Sure. You can. I am. That's like my favorite movie. I'm telling you you are my dad.
- 7:57Like it is so weird. You're still alive so it'd be weird but maybe he went like Voldemort and
- 8:05split souls. Maybe in your dad's video. Maybe in the back of my school. Yeah. Yeah. Like the
- 8:11movie was that the first Harry Potter movie. Where she runs. Yeah. Fuck I love that movie too and I
- 8:22called it 20 minutes in. I was like parasitic twin. parasitic twin. My husband's like what are you
- 8:27saying? To me I was like parasitic twin. parasitic twin. Did we just talk about it too? Yeah. We did talk about it
- 8:31a lot too long ago. Anyway. Okay. Call and go before we just lose our mind. That's okay. So no we've
- 8:37talked about sports movies before such as the replacements and coach Carter but I would love to
- 8:43actually talk about our favorite sports movies and it's interesting going back in time because the
- 8:49first sports movie came out in 1915. What? And it was a silent film. It was called Right off the Bat
- 8:57and it was about a baseball game in progress. I know that that's so cool. Yeah. But sports movies have
- 9:04really evolved since then and tell funny or dramatic stories that are really about more than just
- 9:08who wins or loses the games. I feel like a lot of sports movies nowadays too are about
- 9:12real life experiences about athletes. Mm-hmm. About the athletes story and background on how they got
- 9:19to where they are today and their sport or their retirement. A lot more like biographical. Yeah.
- 9:24Such as I mean I know this one's kind of controversial nowadays. It kind of got brought up and then
- 9:31with the blind side. Yeah. And then American underdog about Kurt Warner. No I'm not seeing that one.
- 9:37It was really good but that one talks about his life how he got to where he is. And just stuff like
- 9:42that I feel like sports movies now are realistic rather than just random. Hey let's just throw
- 9:49this here and tell a story about it. I just watched Challengers which I don't know if either of you
- 9:55I want to watch it but it's too expensive to rent. It's not very good to go down. Each $20
- 10:00is true right now. I don't make that much money on the podcast. It's just $20 which is
- 10:05stream of film. Jokes on you because I do. No but uh Zendaya is the lead in it and it's actually
- 10:13tennis movie and if you told me that I would be on here talking about a tennis movie I would
- 10:18probably smack to you with the tennis racket. I have a question for you. Yeah and it's a spoiler
- 10:23for the film so spoilers if anyone has a much to get into the thing first. I want to know if there's
- 10:29actually a threesome. Well you're gonna watch the movie for that. So you're kind of you're
- 10:34getting way too ahead of yourself. That's the only thing I know is tennis and threesome from this
- 10:39movie and that is it. Okay. Yeah. So the horny one over here jumped the plot. Obviously. So
- 10:47the movie is Zendaya and she is about to go pro in tennis and then there are these two pairs
- 10:57in tennis. You can play pairs and it's two young men also about to go pro and they both have known
- 11:04each other. They've been at like tennis school camp whatever since they were 12 and so they're like
- 11:0920 years old. They're very in sync. They're like best buds and they meet Zendaya and they're both
- 11:15immediately in love with her. They're both really good at tennis when they have them. And it just
- 11:20becomes a story of Zendaya who unfortunately gets injured and isn't able to recover and it's a story
- 11:27of her like trying to be with these two guys and live through these two guys with her tennis career.
- 11:34It is so good. I'm not gonna tell you on your horny question but they they do some things. They do
- 11:43some things happen. So things happen and it's good and challenges like the music is good. Everything
- 11:51like the shots, the perspective a lot of people were saying that it was very salt burn adjacent.
- 11:56I would say it's just unique and creative and done differently and I really love a sports story
- 12:05that takes you along on the thrill and like you feel all of that interangced and emotion and ups and
- 12:12downs with it like the injuries and the triumphs. Yeah and I think that's like why sports movies. You
- 12:19could never be that person and you never will be going pro or you never will be going pro in a sport
- 12:27but you you can relate to those people and I think those are the best best stories but if you're
- 12:32gonna ask me what's my favorite sports movie? It's Air Bud. I love Air Bud and then I have the
- 12:40sequels like the spooky buddies. Yeah who doesn't love them. I'm freaking dog playing basketball.
- 12:45What a good boy. What heck and good boy. I want two men kissing in my sports movies or I want a puppy.
- 12:52I either want a dog playing basketball or I want a threesome of Zindaya. There's nothing
- 12:57in between and that's kind of just my life to know. I'll apply those to all movies. I like that to just
- 13:03experiences in everyday functioning. Dogs threesome was in that. Yeah. You know. Might take it.
- 13:11That's not it. Those are mine. Those are my movies.
- 13:13I'm gonna be honest and I feel like I've told you this in the call. I really don't like sports movies.
- 13:23That's okay. I find them most of them very cringe and like overly sweet to this point of being
- 13:30kind of like sappy over emotional like like remember the Titans or that's such a good movie.
- 13:38Or boring like money ball. I just that was so boring. Also good. I don't know. I just it's not
- 13:43gonna be my first go to if I see like. There's that inspirational. He was down and out
- 13:50until he became the coach of the local basketball team and then his wife didn't leave him anymore.
- 13:57Yeah. Where are you narrating like every 90s? That's how I picture sports films. It's like
- 14:05Ben Affleck is coach Smith. Oh. Then he did it. Affleck play. I don't know. Anyway. I don't know.
- 14:13Okay. You think of Ben Affleck. I think of Ben Affleck. Younger the current one.
- 14:18Kind of depressed Ben Affleck. Okay. The smoking or cigarette. Yeah. Smoking a cigarette and
- 14:24sighing deeply. Are they getting divorced? Yes or no? They might be. But speaking of Jennifer
- 14:28Lopez, we called this switch, put this out there. She canceled her tour entirely. She heard that
- 14:34episode that we reported. Yeah. She was shattered. Along with the other 50 million people.
- 14:39No, she said this is horrible. Why are you doing a tour? Culture junkie dragged me. I need to
- 14:45cancel my entire tour. God for the press. I would love that. But yeah, she canceled her tour.
- 14:50She canceled her whole tour. Did you hear that? Same. No. Yeah. That might be getting divorced. Okay.
- 14:56So I'm curious. Do you like sports documentaries as well? Or do you just like sports like movies?
- 15:04I think it depends on the documentary. Yeah. I want it to depend on the sport. Because there's some
- 15:11sports I can't watch. Just because it's I just physically can't sit there watching. Like a lot of
- 15:16people can't sit and watch baseball. Same. I can. I love baseball. Baseball's one of my favorites.
- 15:21Like I can't sit there and watch basketball. I see I could do that. Yeah, I guess it. Everybody has
- 15:25like their sport that they think it's just excruciatingly boring. Yeah, like you understand the game
- 15:31and everything. But I just I can't sit there and watch it unless I'm physically at the game. I can't
- 15:35watch it on TV because I love going to a game. The most important part of basketball is literally
- 15:40the last two minutes, but the last two minutes take 20 minutes. Yeah. It's so frustrating.
- 15:45It's so frustrating. I think I've just been to so many basketball games. Like I has been used to work
- 15:50for the Phoenix Sun. So we got a lot of free tickets to Sun's games and we became diehard Phoenix Sun's
- 15:56fans. And we're still Sun's fans. My family was growing up to like when they remember when they played
- 16:00the bulls and the finals and like just like my mom and dad's hearts were crushed but they lost.
- 16:07And now that you mentioned basketball or mine and me one of my favorite sports movies. Space Jam.
- 16:12Oh yeah. That's a sports movie right? Yeah. Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson.
- 16:18Michael Jackson. Hey. Michael Jackson playing basketball. Can you imagine a movie about Michael Jackson
- 16:26playing basketball with the Loonie Soonzo? Yeah. It's like an acid trip. So if funny enough,
- 16:32I'm not a big sports person. Like I don't have a commitment. I like to go to a game. I do
- 16:37really like well done sports documentaries. And the last dance which is actually about the goals.
- 16:45It's a four-part documentary series. It's so good. Yes. Yeah. Can you mean Michael Jackson?
- 16:51It's Michael Jordan and really the whole Bulls team. How they all came together. Built a team.
- 16:58I have heard it's good. I thought that was really really interesting. Another shout out is the 30
- 17:03for 30 price of gold which is about Tonya Harding. Oh my god. I want to watch it. You need to. When we're
- 17:12driving over here, she said she'd never seen it. Tonya. That is such a good movie. And I remember all
- 17:18of that going down in the 90s too. Like when she clubbed or hired a guy to take out the
- 17:26friend. Yeah. And they did it. Yeah. But the price of gold is really good. Watch that. Then watch
- 17:32like Tonya. And I tell you it's so good. It really put Margot Robbie on the map as a producer. I mean,
- 17:38she was nominated for Oscars for producing it. And it was really this like indie project that no one
- 17:43believed in. But it was it was so good. And so yeah, I would definitely say watch that. And then 30 for 30
- 17:51made the OJ made in America documentary series, which is just so good. And I think what all of those have
- 18:01is a good like cultural touchstone and what was going on in the world. Yeah. And why it was so important.
- 18:07And the dynamics that these players had within that. And and and so I always think whatever they can
- 18:13bring it to like a bigger story and a time how it touched the time like the media at the time.
- 18:19Yeah. Yeah. And like maybe it was even like villainizing women or you know, villainizing people based on
- 18:26their race and all these things. And so yeah, I would say if you've never seen any of those, I love those.
- 18:31And I think if you can do a sports movie and you make someone like me who doesn't care about sports
- 18:39like challengers never watch tennis, that's how you get a good movie regardless of if it's just a
- 18:45sports movie. But I think there's so many good ones like we mentioned coach Carter's a great one as well.
- 18:49I like a lot of like I was thinking when we first talked about doing this episode like I don't really
- 18:55like sports movies. But then I thought there's so many sports movies that I do like because they're not
- 19:01standard like the dream basketball football like bring it on is probably my favorite sports maybe
- 19:08because yes cheerleading is a sport. You don't think it is then try to do like a triple back flip.
- 19:14Like you know, pyramid toss. But like I love Kirsten Dunn's Eliza Duskou. Jesse Bradford is so
- 19:24cute in this movie. Gabrielle Union. I mean, yeah. And it spawned all of those. Seepals which I've never seen.
- 19:30No, no. We also discussed earlier whether or not we think dance movies, qualify sports movies,
- 19:36but I think it might be a different genre, especially if it's not like a competitive dance film.
- 19:41Like I love center stage, save the last dance honey. But that's because I was a dancer my whole life
- 19:46so like dance movies. Yeah, yeah, mess with but yeah, I can't bring it on. Yeah, I would
- 19:52you competitive cheer. Yeah, I would sure that I could see that or a brink. Oh my god.
- 20:00You mix bruh. Yeah, up and suds. Oh my god. Johnny Sue. Yeah, I just thought of that too.
- 20:09Perfect. Wait, what's the one where it's the two twin girls in the Disney Channel?
- 20:13And it's not really twins, but they're like basketball stars. And they found like just two blonde
- 20:19addresses. You find a vaguely like like each other. Yeah, but yeah, I guess I take it back. I love
- 20:25Disney Channel original sports movie. Yeah, yeah, they were showing us all of our options.
- 20:32They gave us airbud. Whenever we were talking about it, I was like, what if I did high school musical?
- 20:37You know, he's on the sports team. He's on the sports team. Yeah, so
- 20:42that was some of your other favorites. Oh my goodness. Yeah, this was a hard topic for me.
- 20:51Just rapid fire. Yeah, I know I mentioned probably a bunch already on the podcast. They're out
- 20:57my four years, but rapid fire. We're going to go working of the year. Great one. Yes, we're
- 21:03going to go with draft day. We are going to go with the League of their own. Also good. Oh, good
- 21:09choice. Always in the boat. It's so good. What's the one where they're the Jamaican Bob sled team?
- 21:16Cool running. Yeah, I love cool running. I love Disney movie. Is it? I think it is. I love
- 21:23Disney Channel sports fairies. I love it. Yes, okay. Honestly, stick it. Oh, stick it.
- 21:31It's on the sea to play. No, it's such a massive. She's like a juvenile. She looks
- 21:36way too high. And everyone's like, I'm a little into this. She's a troublemaker. Yeah. And they're like
- 21:42in order for you to not go to jail. Basically, you have to join this competitor. Oh, my God.
- 21:48Totally. Okay. Boba. Of course. So she does that. I think if they want America forever from Disney Channel.
- 21:54And she has to join like a cheer dance. Are they? Oh, cheer dance teams. That's funny.
- 21:58She's the way. I just watched this one. I forgot the name of it. It was on Netflix and it had Dennis
- 22:05Quaid. Oh, yeah. I'm actually not like if you would say, you know what? I take it back. It's not a
- 22:10bit of an afloak. When I think of inspirational sports films, it's Dennis Quaid. Okay. It's Dennis Quaid.
- 22:15And he's just. Yeah. Well, he's a little. I want to end my life right now. So it's Quaid.
- 22:21It's Quaid. Dennis Quaid. It's Quaid's in a track. Yeah. Yeah. He's not a South West of
- 22:27Lodge. Just saying. No, he can't wait to sit here. Not yet. It's got really nice tea. Yeah. So I can't wait to
- 22:33go. But I mean, they still look good. They feel like a nice smile. Yeah. American underdog. I do
- 22:38like that one a lot because it's about Kurt Warner. Friday night lights, iconic. Speaking of
- 22:45all of the football scenes for Friday night lights were filmed at my high school in Texas.
- 22:50Well, they film a lot of movies in Austin. That's true. Yeah. So filmed Bill and Ted's
- 22:56excellent adventure in Phoenix. Yeah. Yeah. Nice. That's a lot of good choices. Yeah. Because I know
- 23:05you like Adam Sandler. Yeah. He did a remake of longest yard. Yeah. So I do like longest yard.
- 23:11I know it's a pretty good. Yeah. I know. It's a very problematic. That one's pretty good.
- 23:16Waterboy. Waterboy. Waterboy is really good. I love waterboy. But that's like peripheral sports.
- 23:22You know, sports. Yeah. Play that movie. Ball. Yeah. Oh, um, dodgeball. No kidding.
- 23:29Dodgeball is probably my favorite. I take that. I take that. I take that. I take that. I take my brain on.
- 23:33It's so funny. I love dodgeball. I love dodgeball. I'm so good. I dodge a wrench. You can dodge a ball.
- 23:37Do you consider blades of glory and Taladega nights to be sports movies? Nicole.
- 23:44She's thinking about it. I'm gonna say yes or Taladega nights because Nascar is my favorite sport. Yeah.
- 23:51Very true. Yes. But is it accurate in the slightest in Ask. I think. I mean, a depiction of
- 23:59Taladega race. Way yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yes. Because I've been to Taladega. Yeah. Yes. I think
- 24:06blades of glory is purely because I just said italia was a sports movie and it's both competitive.
- 24:12But I tell you. It is like basic true story. So blades of glory. They're both based on
- 24:17true sports. I don't see blades of glory in so long. I don't have to like rewatch it to actually
- 24:21give you an answer. Oh my god. We should all go home and watch blades of glory. Just imagine.
- 24:26Stitchball but on ice skate. That is true. I get increment and Napoleon Dynamite. I figure skating
- 24:33together. Yeah. That's a good idea. That's true. Yeah. Before the controversy came out about this
- 24:40movie, I loved the blind side. That was probably one of my favorite. It's very white savoury. But
- 24:45yeah. I mean, it's a good story. It's such a good actress. Yeah. I did like that. Tim McGraw
- 24:51love him. He's a man. Love him. What else? I mean, gosh, there's just so many to take from.
- 24:59I remember that movie called Sugar in Spice from Back in the Day. Oh, what's that? That's a cheer that he's
- 25:05by Rob DeBank. Yes. Oh my god. I need to watch that movie. Yeah, she watched that movie. It's so good.
- 25:10It's called Sugar in Spice. And it's just like, oh my gosh. Yes. I love that you've seen so much. I had a
- 25:17DVD and I watched it all the time. Yes. They had the masks on in the back of the bank and then the
- 25:22girl from the B squad is like talking to the police. Everybody watch Sugar in Spice. I've been wanting
- 25:27to find the mask and just be that for Halloween. Can we do that this year for Halloween? Yeah. But then
- 25:31you have to fully commit to the mask. Oh, shoot. That's true. We're all too pretty to wear. At least with
- 25:36the bald cap, you just have the mask on on your hair. And that's when I told you last year when you
- 25:41were a scream guy for Halloween goes face as like, you're too pretty to wear a mask. Well, you know,
- 25:46that's why I was happy. So, but a lot of it. Now people are into masks. It's weird.
- 25:53And people were weirdly into the bald cap. I don't know. Do you know what people are weirdly into?
- 25:58Bro, my boot. Yeah. Have I told you this Nicole? No. Okay. We're going on a total segue from it.
- 26:05What I had my walking boot on, the amount of fetish pages that followed me on Instagram that were all
- 26:11into I had no idea the broken bones, broken bone and like casting. Did you get money? Yes.
- 26:17It's insane. I've made like 50 bucks just from people sending me money. There you go. It's so
- 26:25happy. I'll push you off that bunk. But now she's been sitting again. And I was like now that I
- 26:32posted that like my foot is healed. I like my follower counts the windows are like, she's not hot.
- 26:37No, like one literally like got permission to repost you, right? Yeah. So, you know what? I don't
- 26:47kink shane as long as it's what consensual adults do. Is your Venmo and me. It's like it's like
- 26:51it's your sitting baby. Yeah, that's true. Compensation. Yeah. We'll have to update Brad Perry on your
- 26:57your newest development of making money. I do. And you select Brad Perry now. Yeah. I was very
- 27:01interested in chanis, random money from that suggesting that that fair is broken foot. Oh, no,
- 27:08I wasn't saying that. I think he's just inspired by your hustle. He was never a little side hustle.
- 27:15Yeah. No, these are all great movies. Yeah. I'm inspired me to watch some more. I do have another one.
- 27:20I just popped in my head. Trouble with a curve with Clint Eastwood. I don't think I've seen that.
- 27:25I do love Clint Eastwood. Yeah. It's so so good. I'm trying to think of other sports movies we might
- 27:32have missed. I think Airbud is the most important part. Yeah. How did you see the new space jam with
- 27:38LeBron? No, because I can't stand him. Really? Yes. Do you tell Nicole? I just don't like him. I think he's
- 27:47a big baby. He's controversial. I know. I want to know this beat. It's just I'm from Chicago. So I am
- 27:53team Michael MJ Michael Jackson all the way. Chase the go. Yeah. Just kidding. Michael Jordan.
- 28:00Just kidding. Michael Jordan all the way. Michael Jordan's the go. I know they're compared all the
- 28:13time whenever. But that's not the reason why I'm like just not I don't like him. I just I don't know.
- 28:19I just think he's a big baby. I think he just wants everything in his favor. Yeah. He's about like press
- 28:24around him. Yeah. And you either really love him or you just like despise him. I'm a death and
- 28:29booker girl. Yeah. Love me. I like the book. It's a cardashian. It's part day like that. Oh god. That's right. She
- 28:36lives with him. Yeah. Yeah. But so no, I haven't seen it. I didn't see because I just got terrible reviews.
- 28:42Okay. I mean that makes sense. I'm a big believer. If it's a remake like I'm not going to watch it
- 28:48unless a really die hard fan tells me I should watch it. And even then I'm still a little afraid.
- 28:55But yeah, I like to keep things in in the right package and like not redo it or over here. I don't
- 29:02know if it was a remake or if it was a sequel. They might have done something called a remake. We used
- 29:08Womorow and we played back on the menu. Yeah. I don't know. Yeah. Do you think that the Queen's Gambit
- 29:13counts as like sports stuff because it's chess. Or is that like a whole different genre?
- 29:19I feel like I've trapped myself in the competitive argument. Like cheer is one. Ice skating is one.
- 29:26So like if it's competitive chess, I guess. But it's like no. But it's like no.
- 29:29But it's like no. But it's like no. But it's like no. But it's like no.
- 29:32A beautiful mind category. The Queen's Gambit. The autistic category. Yeah. Well she kind of. She
- 29:38is like very smart and like see. Listen. We never say it. Yeah. I would put that in that category
- 29:45before I put it in a sports dress for Miracle. But you've got just a lead.
- 29:49Is them about the Olympic team, the US Olympic team. Oh yeah. That's the hockey team. Oh my god. That
- 29:57is such a good. The mighty duck. Yeah. I was going to say that to you. The mighty duck.
- 30:01Miracle is okay. That is such a good like you said like cookie cutter like sports story. But it is.
- 30:10It does bring in the ultimate like what's going on in the world. And that is yeah. I remember watching
- 30:17that. I think I was in like middle school and it was like I want to be a happy. Like you want
- 30:22you to leave a movie like that. Not even though I love the movie. I think the testament of a good sports
- 30:29movie is like you want to be that person afterward or like something like that. You're like man.
- 30:35If I could just I could just get on that ice. Dude I love Cobra Kai. And it makes me want to do
- 30:40karate. There you go. I was in karate when I was younger and I was really good. I was like a few
- 30:44belts away from black as a kid. Yeah. And then my family got we couldn't afford it. It was a pool.
- 30:49And we couldn't afford it anymore. But I just saw my belt. And I had to sell my belt to put food on
- 30:55the table. But like over guys so funny because it's so unrealistic right. They like getting
- 31:01karate fights in the mall and at the water park. Crotty Kid movies are kind of like camp sports.
- 31:09I think that's it. Yeah. I like a camp. Yeah. I don't like it if it's like inspirational tier
- 31:14jerk or I need it to be a little camp. Yeah. And you like a real life story. Yeah.
- 31:19I like to learn about the athletes and their stories. And I like to see if there's three
- 31:23sums with Zendaya. Yeah. Yeah. Died. Or puppies. Or puppies playing basketball. Yeah. Yeah.
- 31:30It's two puppies. Yeah. Three sums puppies. God. That's a little bit. Is there in life? I don't know.
- 31:36It's so much fun. I'm still looking for it. But when we figure it out, well,
- 31:42hopefully you know we'll keep watching the sports movies and figure that out. All right, Nicole.
- 31:48Anything else that you want to say on your this, your final episode, it feels weird. I know.
- 31:55I will miss it. But like I said, I'll come back. Good. Just invite me. We will invite you.
- 32:02Do you want to come back next week? Perfect. All right. I'll set.
- 32:06I love to check my schedule. Yeah. You're holding a cold given to the peer pressure. You got to let her fly.
- 32:13I'm bad at saying no. You got to let her fly. I'm having a pull party.
- 32:17Okay. I'm not going to say it. I'm like, yeah, it's been a really true. Okay. But I'll invite you.
- 32:22Okay. Yes. There we go. Anything else at all? No, I don't, I don't know. I don't want to put on a spot.
