Hammond’s ACL Recovery Could Be Game-Changer | Texas Tech Red Raiders Football News
Texas Tech’s quarterback Will Hammond is on track to return for the season opener against Abilene Christian, healing faster than expected after tearing his ACL last season. With key transfer Brendan Sorsby now gone due to eligibility issues, Hammond—who threw for over 600 yards and ran for nearly 300 last year—is back in the driver’s seat. Coach McGuire is optimistic, and while backups Lloyd Jones and Kirk Francis are ready if needed, Hammond’s return is a major boost for Red Raider fans.
