- 0:11Speaker 1: it sounds like. Send us a question about anything and
- 0:14Speaker 1: we'll answer it. Email us Radio from hell at x
- 0:17Speaker 1: ninety six dot com. Put best question in the subject line,
- 0:20Speaker 1: and perhaps we will.
- 0:21Speaker 2: Read your question.
- 0:22Speaker 1: I've got a couple because these are just kind of quickies.
- 0:25Speaker 1: All right, so maybe it's best Questions of the Week.
- 0:29Speaker 1: The first one is who's the best Batman?
- 0:33Speaker 2: Well, Gina Lewis Wilson.
- 0:37Speaker 3: He was the first Batman in the nineteen forty three
- 0:41Speaker 3: Batman serial that they showed him in movie theaters.
- 0:45Speaker 2: All right, I just I just looked that up.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Just I mean, I'm a Michael Keaton batman.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Yeah, I would might he was sort of the one
- 0:53Speaker 2: I like the best too.
- 0:54Speaker 4: Well, lady and gentlemen are yeah, we're wrong. This is
- 0:58Speaker 4: a discussion that could be had. Okay, My answer is
- 1:03Speaker 4: the next one.
- 1:05Speaker 2: You just want more? You just want more Batman?
- 1:07Speaker 1: Is it? No?
- 1:08Speaker 4: I think you have you have, you have your Batman's
- 1:10Speaker 4: for your situations. Michael Keaton needed to be that Batman
- 1:15Speaker 4: for that situation. To bring Batman into the Dark Knight era.
- 1:18Speaker 1: Every generation has its own Batman.
- 1:21Speaker 4: I mean, I'm I'm always partial to Adam West myself, okay,
- 1:24Speaker 4: but yeah, Keaton was there for a reason, and then
- 1:28Speaker 4: Christian Bale.
- 1:28Speaker 2: What about Valkimer? Well, now that's another discussion.
- 1:32Speaker 4: I had this discussion with the creators of the Venture
- 1:37Speaker 4: Brothers cartoon, Jackson Public and Doc Hammer. All of us
- 1:41Speaker 4: were sitting around a table at San Diego Comic Con,
- 1:43Speaker 4: but we weren't talking about the best Batman. They wanted
- 1:47Speaker 4: to talk about which Batman had the largest.
- 1:52Speaker 2: Cod peace.
- 1:54Speaker 4: Yeah, it was determined that. I think it was Doc
- 1:58Speaker 4: Hammer that said, well, it's got to be Val Kilmer,
- 2:00Speaker 4: that's obvious. And then there are those who, let's do
- 2:04Speaker 4: the vocal Batman, you know, just vocal h the voice
- 2:07Speaker 4: act like animated.
- 2:08Speaker 3: You know.
- 2:08Speaker 4: Kevin Conray keeps coming up. Everybody says he's the best.
- 2:11Speaker 3: So I think the worst Batman was because you don't
- 2:15Speaker 3: even think of him Ben Affleck.
- 2:18Speaker 4: I liked him, okay for that situation. He was in
- 2:21Speaker 4: a Zack Snyder movie. That's what Zack Snyder needed.
- 2:23Speaker 2: In a Batman.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Everyone always forgets George Clooney was Batman too.
- 2:27Speaker 2: I never forget. I thought he was a good Bruce Wayne.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Oh there you go. They did. They all have nipples
- 2:34Speaker 2: on the just clooney, Just clooney. Why k have I
- 2:38Speaker 2: don't know. I wonder why that.
- 2:41Speaker 4: It was because it mimicked Roman armor, is what the
- 2:44Speaker 4: costume designer said. But yeah, I think a different Batman
- 2:48Speaker 4: for every different situation.
- 2:49Speaker 1: All right, Uh this is from Tristan more than lords.
- 2:53Speaker 1: If you had followed your childhood dreams, what would you
- 2:56Speaker 1: be doing right now?
- 2:57Speaker 2: Sleeping childhood dreams? What I don't there?
- 3:05Speaker 1: I wrote a paper in the fifth grade, in the
- 3:08Speaker 1: fifth grade that I wanted to be a talk show host.
- 3:12Speaker 2: Really now, not like this like a TV You mean
- 3:17Speaker 2: like a real talk show, like a Stephen Colbert kind
- 3:20Speaker 2: of a thing.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Yeah, or like a like a daytime talk show.
- 3:24Speaker 4: Well, why do you do that in podcast form?
- 3:28Speaker 2: I mean, that's that's a whole other thing. Because my
- 3:31Speaker 2: wife is missing your podcast.
- 3:33Speaker 1: I know it's because my kids are my I made
- 3:36Speaker 1: the mistake of making my podcast around conversations with my kids,
- 3:41Speaker 1: and they are all too busy.
- 3:42Speaker 2: They don't talk to you anymore.
- 3:44Speaker 4: For a reformat, remain seated could easily be just a
- 3:47Speaker 4: talk show.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Well it doesn't have to be your kid. I guess.
- 3:54Speaker 3: I mean, I've just I don't know if I wanted
- 3:56Speaker 3: to do this when I was a child, But for
- 3:59Speaker 3: a long time I thought my dream job would have
- 4:01Speaker 3: been to be a radio actor in the you know,
- 4:05Speaker 3: like the thirties forties.
- 4:07Speaker 2: You could do again, what can keep saying?
- 4:10Speaker 1: We can you can do that, we can do this now?
- 4:12Speaker 4: Well, and that's what a lot of podcasts are these days.
- 4:15Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, there's not a not a it's not
- 4:18Speaker 3: as not the same as you know, you go and
- 4:19Speaker 3: you do these live studio audience performances, and you know,
- 4:23Speaker 3: you didn't have to memorize lines.
- 4:25Speaker 2: You could you use the script. You did that with
- 4:27Speaker 2: Radio West. I did that radio play Lanby Theater.
- 4:30Speaker 3: Yeah I didn't. I did a few. That's where I
- 4:32Speaker 3: really thought, God, this is a great job. I'd love
- 4:34Speaker 3: to do this all the time. Well, people are gonna
- 4:37Speaker 3: hate me. I'm doing it.
- 4:41Speaker 1: Why would they hate you for that answer?
- 4:43Speaker 4: Because a lot of folks have childhood dreams that go unfulfilled,
- 4:49Speaker 4: and then they resent people whose childhood dreams are fulfilled.
- 4:53Speaker 2: I'm doing it.
- 4:55Speaker 1: I'm happier doing it, and I guess technically I'm doing
- 4:58Speaker 1: it too.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I have.
- 5:00Speaker 3: I actually I found, I really did find what I
- 5:03Speaker 3: really wanted to do, and that was this. And I'm
- 5:07Speaker 3: lucky because a lot of people go to work and
- 5:11Speaker 3: they don't like going to work. They don't like their job.
- 5:13Speaker 3: They only go to their job as a means to
- 5:15Speaker 3: an end so they can go have fun doing something else.
- 5:18Speaker 2: There's work to live and live to work.
- 5:20Speaker 3: Yeah, but I have fun when I'm doing this, and
- 5:25Speaker 3: then the rest of my life is miserable.
- 5:29Speaker 1: And then quickly, if you were a dessert, what would
- 5:31Speaker 1: you be?
- 5:33Speaker 2: If I were a dessert, a dessert, I would be delicious.
- 5:37Speaker 1: I mean, s'mores are my favorite dessert.
- 5:40Speaker 2: So I thought you'd be a pop tart. Oh, I
- 5:43Speaker 2: do like a pop tart. But that's not a dessert,
- 5:46Speaker 2: you informed me this morning. It's a breadth breakfast food.
- 5:49Speaker 2: It's just that's I will.
- 5:50Speaker 1: I love a smore, that's my answer.
- 5:52Speaker 2: You know, any kind of pie, any kind? Yeah, fruit
- 5:56Speaker 2: or a dessert pie. Probably a fruit pie. It down.
- 6:00Speaker 4: See take an ice cream mixed up in a bowl,
- 6:05Speaker 4: stirred up into a paste. Delicious, love it.
- 6:11Speaker 1: See. You will answer just.
- 6:12Speaker 3: About any question, no matter how inconsequential it is.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Radio from hal at X ninety six dot com put
- 6:19Speaker 1: best question in the subject.
- 6:21Speaker 4: Have you guys ever been asked what you'd do if
- 6:23Speaker 4: you had an unlimited supply of money.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Certainly not this. I'd be traveling
