L.A. County just doubled the reward for tips in the unsolved 2024 shooting death of 21-year-old Lanai Ariyana Dees — now $20,000 — hoping the bigger incentive will spark a breakthrough. The college student was struck by gunfire while driving alone in South L.A. just before 1 a.m. on Nov. 17, 2024. Authorities believe it was a gang-related incident, but Lanai wasn’t the target.
