- 1:12Speaker 1: Paying for a three websites.
- 1:13Speaker 3: Yes, it is what it is.
- 1:18Speaker 1: So you know, it was odd. I was and I
- 1:21Speaker 1: sit outside typically at night, and like, I don't know,
- 1:25Speaker 1: decompress and I.
- 1:27Speaker 3: Got cold chili.
- 1:29Speaker 1: Yeah, why am I not sweating right now? I should
- 1:33Speaker 1: be sweating sitting here, and I'm like, man, I need
- 1:35Speaker 1: a sweatshirt.
- 1:37Speaker 2: It's that time here and we're going to talk this
- 1:38Speaker 2: morning to Andrews. You know, as we start getting the
- 1:41Speaker 2: cooler nights and spending more time as more comfortable, you
- 1:44Speaker 2: may be looking up at your roof and going, you
- 1:46Speaker 2: know what, it's getting a little long in the tooth.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Maybe it's time for a replacement.
- 1:50Speaker 2: You've got some great options for folks that may have
- 1:53Speaker 2: roofs that are are holding up relatively well, but just
- 1:56Speaker 2: could use a little bit of a refresh and a
- 1:58Speaker 2: little bit of a coding where to talk a little
- 2:00Speaker 2: bit about that this mom.
- 2:00Speaker 3: But I did want to ask you real quick because.
- 2:02Speaker 2: We've had that wildfire smoke the past earlier this week
- 2:06Speaker 2: in the past past few days as well. I know.
- 2:10Speaker 2: One of the things you talk about the experts from
- 2:12Speaker 2: the attic up and we talk about the importance of
- 2:15Speaker 2: really good insulation and preventing air infiltration for folks that
- 2:19Speaker 2: during those times were able to smell that smoke inside
- 2:23Speaker 2: their house.
- 2:24Speaker 3: Correct me if' wrong. Probably a good indicator.
- 2:26Speaker 2: You want to have Larcentini Home Services come out and
- 2:29Speaker 2: take a look, because that stuff's coming in from somewhere,
- 2:31Speaker 2: isn't it.
- 2:33Speaker 1: It can definitely be coming in from somewhere now. Typically
- 2:36Speaker 1: typically now in the winter, we're going to be sucking
- 2:39Speaker 1: more air in from the outside. But we have heard
- 2:44Speaker 1: complaints from a lot of people about the smells being
- 2:46Speaker 1: in their houses even with their win even with their
- 2:48Speaker 1: windows closed, So there could be an issue.
- 2:50Speaker 3: Going on in the attic.
- 2:51Speaker 1: There could be an issue with your soft at bringing
- 2:54Speaker 1: in bringing in that that smoky air and making its
- 2:57Speaker 1: way into the home. Actually shot a pat podcast yesterday.
- 3:00Speaker 1: It should be coming out soon. Where we we something
- 3:03Speaker 1: we don't talk about that much. I'm going to get
- 3:05Speaker 1: way off subject, but we actually sell a home air
- 3:10Speaker 1: filtration system. It's called Aspen Air, and it's quite remarkable.
- 3:14Speaker 1: We sold a lot of them during COVID because it
- 3:18Speaker 1: it AD's actually the first filter in it is a
- 3:21Speaker 1: NERV fourteen filter, which can look that up. That's m
- 3:24Speaker 1: r V fourteen and a nerve is a rating that
- 3:27Speaker 1: basically it's a scale that tells you how good of
- 3:32Speaker 1: a filtration system it is and how small particulates it
- 3:35Speaker 1: gets down to. But as far as allergens that smoke,
- 3:40Speaker 1: that smoke smell, this is what this is going to do.
- 3:42Speaker 1: This is something you plug in in the corner of your.
- 3:43Speaker 4: Home and it's going to take care of the air
- 3:49Speaker 4: of about fifteen hundred to two thousand square feet, so
- 3:53Speaker 4: it takes care of a lot of the air in
- 3:54Speaker 4: your home.
- 3:55Speaker 1: So that's something that we don't talk about that often.
- 4:00Speaker 1: It's part of our you know, home performance. It's part
- 4:03Speaker 1: of us doing insulation and air ceiling and then making
- 4:06Speaker 1: sure that the air in the home is clean. We
- 4:08Speaker 1: also sell a really high end When I say high end,
- 4:12Speaker 1: I mean high functioning, very high quality dehumidifier called a
- 4:16Speaker 1: Sodona and actually has a filter on that which is
- 4:19Speaker 1: a MERV thirteen which also is going to filter uh
- 4:25Speaker 1: air inequality, air impurities and make your home healthier. So
- 4:29Speaker 1: there's a couple options that we have to handle stuff
- 4:33Speaker 1: like the smoke. And you know what's funny is I'm
- 4:35Speaker 1: sitting there doing that yeah podcast and I'm like looking
- 4:38Speaker 1: at Josh going may not even have one of these
- 4:40Speaker 1: in my house, like we would sell like hundreds of
- 4:45Speaker 1: these years. I don't even have one, and my daughters
- 4:47Speaker 1: both suffer from allergies. It's anyway, mine's coming.
- 4:51Speaker 3: Yours on order. Yes, that is awesome, it's and that's
- 4:57Speaker 3: great to note too.
- 4:58Speaker 2: And one of the things I love about getting a
- 5:00Speaker 2: chance to talk with you each week, and I hope
- 5:02Speaker 2: everybody else appreciates that. You'll learn a lot and understanding
- 5:05Speaker 2: that there's a lot of different solutions out there for
- 5:08Speaker 2: different problems that you may encounter as a homeowner. Of course,
- 5:11Speaker 2: we want our homes to be safe, we want them
- 5:13Speaker 2: to be comfortable. And Andrew and the team at Larsen
- 5:15Speaker 2: Home Larsenkini Home Services, they definitely are there to help
- 5:20Speaker 2: you with that great day to make that appointment, whereas
- 5:21Speaker 2: you can do it right online larsenome Services dot Com
- 5:24Speaker 2: or give them call six so eight five three five
- 5:26Speaker 2: forty three forty three. That's five three five, forty three,
- 5:28Speaker 2: forty three, and let's talk a little bit about people's homes,
- 5:32Speaker 2: and of course, when it comes to the roofs are
- 5:34Speaker 2: a significant investment. You really want to get the most
- 5:38Speaker 2: out of them. And Andrew, one of the things I
- 5:40Speaker 2: love about what you guys do with Larsen Home Services
- 5:42Speaker 2: is you've got some great options for folks when it
- 5:44Speaker 2: comes to handling roof issues and prolonging the life of
- 5:48Speaker 2: roofs as well, one of which is roof coding. Let's
- 5:51Speaker 2: talk a little bit about what that is and some
- 5:53Speaker 2: of the some of the benefits to adding that on.
- 5:57Speaker 1: So there's a lot of people are probably seeing a
- 6:01Speaker 1: lot of different advertisements for roof coatings, prolong your roof,
- 6:06Speaker 1: all of this different stuff. And when I first saw
- 6:09Speaker 1: them come out, I was like, come on, really, we're
- 6:12Speaker 1: gonna spray some oil on a roof and whatever. I
- 6:16Speaker 1: just kind of shrugged it off until I found found
- 6:20Speaker 1: a product that we use now called go Nano, which
- 6:24Speaker 1: is part of our ultimate roof coating. And what is
- 6:27Speaker 1: different about this it is not just oil, biooil which
- 6:33Speaker 1: there is biooil in it, which is great for conditioning
- 6:36Speaker 1: and moisturizing your shingles because over time they just start
- 6:40Speaker 1: to dry out, they start to crack. That's when we
- 6:43Speaker 1: start to lose on that. Once that the asphalt starts
- 6:47Speaker 1: to dry out and crack, we start to lose granules
- 6:50Speaker 1: and granules or what protects the fiberglass matting, and then
- 6:53Speaker 1: they start you know, then it's it's just a slow death.
- 6:57Speaker 1: What our ultimate roof coating does along with moisture eyes
- 7:02Speaker 1: and condition those shingles, bringing life back to them, is
- 7:06Speaker 1: it actually it actually has nanotechnology. And I every time
- 7:10Speaker 1: I talk about this, it's like, listen, I'm not a scientist.
- 7:13Speaker 1: I don't want people to think I'm super smart, because
- 7:15Speaker 1: I'm not. But what I do know is that when
- 7:19Speaker 1: I first did this, when I first experimented with it,
- 7:22Speaker 1: after I saw it at a trade show, I was
- 7:24Speaker 1: I was amazed, to be completely honest with you, I
- 7:26Speaker 1: was amazed. We put one, We took a regular shingle,
- 7:29Speaker 1: put it in a squirt bottle, put a couple of
- 7:31Speaker 1: squirts of this on there, and you could with a
- 7:34Speaker 1: not a microscope, but like a high powered magnifying glass,
- 7:37Speaker 1: you could actually see the shingle bubbles. It was actually bubbling.
- 7:42Speaker 1: And what's actually happening is that asphalt is now bonding
- 7:46Speaker 1: deeper with that apt with the with the shingle rock
- 7:49Speaker 1: on the shingles. So it is it's conditioning your shingles,
- 7:52Speaker 1: so it's moisturizing them, it's making them, bringing life back
- 7:55Speaker 1: to them.
- 7:56Speaker 3: It's it's like putting.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Lotion on them. Okay. It is also then bonding the asphalt,
- 8:02Speaker 1: the shingle rock and the asphalt together making it more waterproof.
- 8:07Speaker 1: The biggest thing for me is making it more pliable.
- 8:10Speaker 1: So now we're taking those rocks and we're basically regluing
- 8:13Speaker 1: them onto the shingle Okay, so we're stopping or slowing
- 8:17Speaker 1: that aging process. We're making it more waterproof just because
- 8:21Speaker 1: it's all bonding together better and they're more pliable, makes
- 8:26Speaker 1: it with stand hail better. And one of the most
- 8:30Speaker 1: perfect examples I have of this was we had actually
- 8:32Speaker 1: sold a restore where we were replacing pipe boots on
- 8:36Speaker 1: a roof. The pipe boots were all dry rotted and
- 8:39Speaker 1: cracked and starting to leak, so I think we were
- 8:42Speaker 1: replacing four of them. Well, when you replace those pipe boots,
- 8:45Speaker 1: you've got to pull the shingles off around them so
- 8:47Speaker 1: you can get at you can get them out, and
- 8:50Speaker 1: you can do it properly. Underneath, you can put new
- 8:52Speaker 1: underlayment and ice and water underneath. Well, they got under
- 8:56Speaker 1: one shingle and realized that if they tried to pry
- 8:58Speaker 1: it up, it was just going to break because it
- 9:00Speaker 1: was so it was so brittle, it was just going
- 9:02Speaker 1: to bust. And my roofing manager Jeremy had the idea.
- 9:05Speaker 1: He said, well, hey, let's treat these areas.
- 9:09Speaker 3: With go nano.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Andrew says, it makes them more appliable and they believe everything.
- 9:13Speaker 3: I say.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Let's try it. I didn't even know they did it,
- 9:19Speaker 1: he said. We came out, we sprayed the areas around
- 9:21Speaker 1: those pipe boots, we left, we came back the next
- 9:24Speaker 1: day and he goes, we could pull every shingle up
- 9:27Speaker 1: and bend it completely over and bend it back. It
- 9:30Speaker 1: did not crease, it did not crack, it did not
- 9:33Speaker 1: lose any granules. So that is living proof for us
- 9:36Speaker 1: that this does exactly what it's supposed to say. So
- 9:39Speaker 1: what does this mean? If your roof is eight, ten,
- 9:42Speaker 1: twelve years old, it's probably still great, but it's getting
- 9:45Speaker 1: to that point where they say, well, you know, pay attention.
- 9:49Speaker 1: We can treat it with the Ultimate Roof Coding and
- 9:52Speaker 1: guarantee you We guarantee you will not have to replace
- 9:57Speaker 1: your roof four five years due to granular loss, cracking,
- 10:04Speaker 1: or shingle curling, the three basically the three things that
- 10:08Speaker 1: make shingles age out and die and have to be replaced.
- 10:12Speaker 1: If after a treatment within five year period your roof
- 10:18Speaker 1: the shingles kept, you know, aging and getting bad and
- 10:21Speaker 1: your roof leaked and you needed a new roof, we
- 10:25Speaker 1: will refund you one hundred percent of the cost and
- 10:28Speaker 1: the Ultimate Roof coding. So it's it's basically an insurance policy.
- 10:31Speaker 1: We guarantee for five years, and that is actually nothing
- 10:34Speaker 1: to say that at the end of five years we
- 10:35Speaker 1: can't treat it again and or slow and stop that process.
- 10:39Speaker 1: Even more so for people who are you know, at
- 10:43Speaker 1: that cusp where they're wondering it's ten years old, thinking okay,
- 10:47Speaker 1: you know a few more years I might need a
- 10:48Speaker 1: new roof, or it's twelve years the same thing. This
- 10:51Speaker 1: is a great option. Instead of spending twenty five thousand dollars,
- 10:54Speaker 1: you can spend a few thousand dollars and guarantee the
- 10:57Speaker 1: prolonged life of that roof and I don't know what
- 11:00Speaker 1: better way to put it. It's just it's a great option.
- 11:03Speaker 3: That is amazing.
- 11:04Speaker 2: It is absolutely amazing as we talk with Andrew Larson
- 11:07Speaker 2: of Larsen Home Services. Great day to have that conversation,

- 11:12Speaker 2: older roof that you know, go, you know what. It

- 11:16Speaker 2: a refresh, get a couple more years. You talk about
- 11:18Speaker 2: a five year guarantee as well. That is absolutely amazing
- 11:22Speaker 2: with Gonano and of course the folks from Larsarkini Home
