- 0:00Speaker 1: Now more of the Marximone Show on seven to ten
- 0:03Speaker 1: wor filling in for Mark here again is Ken Rosatto. Hey,
- 0:08Speaker 1: good to be with you. Let's go straight to the phones.
- 0:10Speaker 1: Peter in the Harlem, Good morning, you're on the marximone show.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Yes, good morning. It's a pleasure to listen to you.
- 0:16Speaker 2: I have a comment. New York is dead. The fact
- 0:19Speaker 2: is that the stores are all run by people that
- 0:22Speaker 2: are unfortunately from other countries, so when the developments come in,
- 0:26Speaker 2: they can kick them out right away. The East Village
- 0:29Speaker 2: it's tine of town. Harlem is another. I mean, what's
- 0:33Speaker 2: going on and they want to blame it on crime,
- 0:35Speaker 2: but it's not crime, it's greed. Do you have any comments, sir?
- 0:38Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree. I don't think you're wrong at all.
- 0:40Speaker 3: Sir.
- 0:40Speaker 1: Look I here, I've lived in or around New York
- 0:44Speaker 1: City my entire life, with maybe a three four year exception.
- 0:47Speaker 1: I was in Miami. I'm fifty eight. I went to
- 0:49Speaker 1: grammar school, high school, college here, so I know what
- 0:52Speaker 1: to talk about. I've seen it go through all the
- 0:54Speaker 1: different iterations and it's almost sound recognizable right now. The
- 0:57Speaker 1: thing is you need somebody who is a leader, who
- 1:00Speaker 1: will take charge of the city and change things. We've
- 1:02Speaker 1: seen it go bad and then go good, and unfortunately,
- 1:06Speaker 1: I think we chose the wrong guy to change that.
- 1:08Speaker 1: But I appreciate the call and I don't disagree with you.
- 1:10Speaker 1: We go to David and Queen's Good morning.
- 1:13Speaker 3: Hey, Ken. I've been listening to radio for over forty
- 1:16Speaker 3: years and there was a caller up to forty years
- 1:18Speaker 3: ago who predicted everything that's going on, and he's largely
- 1:22Speaker 3: been blocked now. But I think it's high time to
- 1:25Speaker 3: give some credit to Jimmy from Brooklyn.
- 1:27Speaker 2: Oh.
- 1:27Speaker 1: I remember listening to him. I mean he was on
- 1:29Speaker 1: Bob Grat years ago. I think that was like one
- 1:31Speaker 1: hundred years ago. He was yeah, oh, there we go.
- 1:34Speaker 1: He gets a shout out there. Let's go down to
- 1:36Speaker 1: North Carolina. Kathy, good morning, Hi.
- 1:40Speaker 4: Can we really appreciate when you fill in for Mark.
- 1:43Speaker 4: Thank you you're a jelly guy. I haven't heard anybody
- 1:47Speaker 4: talking about this. I'm going to bring it up. Jimmy
- 1:49Speaker 4: Kimmel lost his best friend who is his bandmate, a
- 1:54Speaker 4: couple of days ago, and he was on a show
- 1:55Speaker 4: with a beautiful tribute for him, and it was very moving.
- 2:00Speaker 4: But I just wanted to throw in there, what would Jimmy,
- 2:03Speaker 4: what would you feel like if people went on the
- 2:06Speaker 4: air and started mocking your friend's death or mocking the
- 2:11Speaker 4: wife of your friend, or his children, or his mother
- 2:15Speaker 4: and his father who were there with you in the studio,
- 2:18Speaker 4: Like he just needs to get a clue of how
- 2:22Speaker 4: irresponsible that was and how rude. And now that it's
- 2:25Speaker 4: happened to him, somebody close to him has died tragically,
- 2:30Speaker 4: maybe he should, you know, think a little bit about
- 2:33Speaker 4: what he did to Charlie Kirk's family.
- 2:36Speaker 1: And yeah, that's a very good point. Go ahead, I'm sorry,
- 2:39Speaker 1: let me finish your I'm sorry, Well, no, I'm.
- 2:42Speaker 4: I just want to but I'm I'm going to take
- 2:44Speaker 4: a high road and I'm going to show some grace
- 2:47Speaker 4: to Jimmy Kimmel and I'm going to give him my
- 2:49Speaker 4: condolences and my thoughts and prayers, which he never wants,
- 2:53Speaker 4: of course, but I just I just hope. I know
- 2:57Speaker 4: this isn't going to get to him, But I just
- 2:59Speaker 4: want everybody to collectively think, if you're in those shoes,
- 3:03Speaker 4: you know, to be a little more careful. And it's
- 3:06Speaker 4: pretty obviously should have never done that, Like he almost
- 3:08Speaker 4: lost his job over it, which would have been great.
- 3:10Speaker 1: And it wasn't only Kimmel, a lot of people who've
- 3:12Speaker 1: done that. And again it comes down to a dichotomy
- 3:14Speaker 1: of the left versus the right. There's just a whole
- 3:16Speaker 1: different Yes, I'm going to paint with a very broad brush,
- 3:19Speaker 1: but the left tends not to be into the religious stuff.
- 3:22Speaker 1: The right does tend to be a little bit more
- 3:25Speaker 1: into religion. Not we're talking about gradations of color here
- 3:29Speaker 1: in terms of religion non religion. The left tends to
- 3:32Speaker 1: be less empathetic. The right tends to be more empathetic.
- 3:35Speaker 1: The you know, the left is all about a show
- 3:38Speaker 1: and about being able to say they feel good about somebody,
- 3:41Speaker 1: but the right actually practices it. So yeah, there is
- 3:43Speaker 1: a difference there, and I think you're spot on with that, Kathy.
- 3:47Speaker 1: In fact, that harkens back to the old you know
- 3:50Speaker 1: saying that that we heard from. I'm saying I'm forgetting
- 3:54Speaker 1: names now, Hello, former the FBI or the current FBI
- 3:58Speaker 1: Deputy director Dan Bongiom. My gosh, it's what happens when
- 4:01Speaker 1: I run out my coffee. Dan Bongino again saying that
- 4:03Speaker 1: Republicans think Democrats are good people with bad ideas, and
- 4:06Speaker 1: Democrats think Republicans are bad people. Jimmy Kimmel xample. Is
- 4:11Speaker 1: that right there, the idea that you can make fun
- 4:14Speaker 1: of Republicans dying because you don't consider them good people,
- 4:19Speaker 1: whereas we would never do the same to them because
- 4:22Speaker 1: we consider all people's lives precious. Stare in South Carolina,
- 4:26Speaker 1: Good morning, You're on seven to ten.
- 4:27Speaker 5: Wr Hey Dan, how are you? We've spoken several times.
- 4:31Speaker 5: You know, I've been an officer forty eight years. What
- 4:33Speaker 5: ma'am Donnie does not know could fill an encyclopedia. This
- 4:37Speaker 5: man is an idiot to think that social workers can
- 4:40Speaker 5: go to a seat. We have lost I think four
- 4:43Speaker 5: or five officers in the last six months going to
- 4:45Speaker 5: domestics and they were ambushed and killed even before they
- 4:48Speaker 5: got to the front door. This guy is out of
- 4:51Speaker 5: his ever loving mind, and him, coupled with Alvin Bragg,
- 4:55Speaker 5: is going to be the seventh circle of Hell in
- 4:58Speaker 5: New York City. I cannot believe for the life of me,
- 5:01Speaker 5: ken people put these two people in office.
- 5:03Speaker 1: And you know, Stuart, what's crazy. What's crazy is people say, well,
- 5:07Speaker 1: New York will learn, No, they won't learn. And here's
- 5:08Speaker 1: why New York is such a turnover of humans. I
- 5:11Speaker 1: think three quarters of the people currently living in New
- 5:14Speaker 1: York did not live here ten years ago, so that's
- 5:17Speaker 1: a huge junk of people. So as a result, it's
- 5:19Speaker 1: not like people could say, oh, remember back when we
- 5:21Speaker 1: elected that person, because I think a lot of those
- 5:23Speaker 1: people aren't here, so they don't understand. You know the
- 5:26Speaker 1: old adage about those who fail to learn history or
- 5:29Speaker 1: doomed to repeat it.
- 5:30Speaker 3: We're repeating it right now.
- 5:33Speaker 5: Sure, yeah, real quick story. We had a mental patient
- 5:36Speaker 5: and I had a rapport with him, and any time
- 5:39Speaker 5: they dealt with him, if I was on duty, they
- 5:40Speaker 5: would call me and the officer Stuart, how are you
- 5:43Speaker 5: you know? That was nine times. The tenth time he
- 5:46Speaker 5: tried to kill me and kick the windows out in
- 5:48Speaker 5: my patrol cars. This is a ticking time bomb dealing
- 5:52Speaker 5: with these people and you do not They want an
- 5:56Speaker 5: officer to go with them, which defeats the entire purpose
- 6:00Speaker 5: what they claim. It's just insane.
- 6:02Speaker 1: It's like when they tell an officer, don't aim at
- 6:04Speaker 1: the chest, aim at their foot. No, when you shoot,
- 6:06Speaker 1: you shoot right. They don't understand then you'll miss and
- 6:10Speaker 1: if you're trying to protect yourself. That's it. So what
- 6:12Speaker 1: I hate to cut us off. We got to get
- 6:13Speaker 1: to the news. But I always appreciate your call, my friend.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Thank you very very much, and thank you for your
- 6:18Speaker 1: service as an officer.
- 6:19Speaker 2: We appreciate that.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Seven ten WR. The time is ten thirty three, and
- 6:23Speaker 1: right after the news, we'll speak with financial strategist Steve
- 6:25Speaker 1: Cotton about how the economy is looking now and what
- 6:28Speaker 1: you can be doing to safeguard your money.
