- 1:00that's gonna be exciting to see that happen. See that work. Amen,
- 1:04All glory to God. That gives me an opportunity to connect with other ministries
- 1:10and to broadcast other ministries that are nationwide. Amen, ministries that I'm able
- 1:15to connect with God is good. So let's go for it. It's a
- 1:19day I want you to consider with me our own sins. I know that's
- 1:26gonna be sounds like man for more than devo. We're gonna get into that.
- 1:30Well, just consider your own sins? How has God been patient towards
- 1:34you? You ever thought about that? God is very patient, very patient
- 1:38towards us. Amen. I hope you understand that. I hope you know
- 1:40that. I know you agree. Because God is faithful, He's good.
- 1:47There's no other explanation of God being good, but he's patient with us.
- 1:53So how has God been patient towards you? And the follow up question is
- 1:59are you paid as God is patient with you? And that's a hard like
- 2:05to follow, Right, God is patient? We as patient as God is
- 2:10with us. So we consider our own stuff. Amen, when we speak
- 2:15to other people, talk to other people, and when we realize that,
- 2:19man, we fall short of that. I think that's what the Bible says.
- 2:23We all fall short of the glorious standards of God when we consider our
- 2:27own sin, and then we start humbling ourselves and realize, wait, after
- 2:31that patience with so and so you know, God is patient with me.
- 2:36I have to forgive so and so God forgave me right. So we're gonna
- 2:40be in scripture today on First Timothy chapter number one, First Timothy one,
- 2:46fifteen and sixteen. First Timothy Chapter one, Verses fifteen and sixteen. I'm
- 2:51calling this one today. Consider your sins, consider them. Amen, Next
- 2:55time you're in front of somebody that's somebody that's not really easy to be around,
- 3:05we have to be patient. And man, I'm not saying let people
- 3:07take advantage of you. I'm not saying none of that. I am saying
- 3:10what the scripture is gonna say. We're gonna repeat what the scripture says today.
- 3:15Right, consider our sins and think about it. Will you consider yourself
- 3:22quick to be angry or quick to or slow to anger? Are you quick
- 3:27to get angry, quick to get upset? If you're a driver like me,
- 3:29I'm a professional driver. I drive all the time. I've learned through
- 3:34the years to consider other people's driving when I get cut off, when somebody
- 3:38flips me the middle finger for no apparent reason, or somebody wants to as
- 3:44impatient. As soon as the light turns green, they start honking. A
- 3:47horn, like literally micro second after it's green. I have to consider everybody's
- 3:53not having a good day, right, everybody's not filled with holy spirit God,
- 3:57everybody, everybody situated. It is different and man and God knows that
- 4:01with us. So we consider our own sin today in the morning, Devo.
- 4:05So let's pray first. After we pray, we shut us out for
- 4:09like sixty seconds. Excuse me, I know I've seen sixty seconds. And
- 4:15if you have any questions, comments, concerns, or any prayer requests,
- 4:17don't hesitate to leave it on the live chat. That's what we're here for,
- 4:20a man to communicate with one another. So you're ready, let's go
- 4:25for it. Father, I thank you that today is the day that you
- 4:29are patient with us, that you are loving to us, that you are
- 4:30mindful of us. Thank you, Lord God for being with us, in
- 4:34us and working through us. Thank you, Lord God for forgiving us for
- 4:38all our trespasses and sins, and therefore we should be forgiving others as you
- 4:44forgive us. Love God, Thank you Lord Jesus so much for doing that
- 4:47for us. And thank you, Lord Jesus for the opportunity that you give
- 4:51us, Lord God, to be able to connect with your word. Thank
- 4:57you, lok God for the power of prayer. Thank you, Love God,
- 5:00that you are the most incredible patient, amazing Lord and Savior. Amen,
- 5:06and we are so grateful. I'm so grateful that you look God,
- 5:10look upon me, and you don't judge me according to my failure, but
- 5:15you judge me according to the spirit of God that's in me because I'm born
- 5:20again. And for all those who are born again, you have the same
- 5:24judgment that I have. That God considers us to be one of His when
- 5:29we are born again, when we are found in the land of the living,
- 5:32not in the land of the laws. Thank you so much for Lord
- 5:34for teaching us and showing us through your word by way of your Holy Spirit,
- 5:40that where we consider others sins, we should consider our own sins.
- 5:44When we considers others truspasses, we should consider our trustpass when we trustpassed against
- 5:49You and Lord God, I know it's sobering. Thank you look out for
- 5:53keeping us sober and alert, and thank you for protecting and guiding us.
- 5:56I pray I head you protection over me, myself, my family, my
- 6:00household, my mind, physically, emotionally and spiritually, my wife's mind,
- 6:02our children, my family members, for the very youngest to the very oldest.
- 6:06And I pray the same prayer over every single person on the other side
- 6:10of the screen and on the other side of this mic as well, that
- 6:13you, Lord God, will continue to God God and protect them as well
- 6:16as we consider our own sins and we are patient with one another, loving
- 6:20towards one another, kind towards one another, because you are all of that
- 6:24towards us. So I pray by faith that we would get this message deep
- 6:28within our soul and that we will activate this today and know that Lord God,
- 6:31we can work things out towards one another because you have worked things out
- 6:38for us and Jesus Name. I prayed this with thanksgiving and by faith in
- 6:41Jesus Name. Amen and Amen. So let's go for it and share this
- 6:45out. Sixty seconds. When we come back, we'll get right into First
- 6:47Timothy chapter number one Versus fifteen and sixteen. I'll be way back. Amen.
- 8:13Amen. Let's go for it. Let's see what the Word has for
- 8:15us today. Amen. Man. Apologize for those who are on the radio,
- 8:20and they were like words that brodcast. I put it on a little
- 8:22late. I didn't realize I didn't power that up Amen until right now.
- 8:28So thank you for your patience. Amen, So patience to see we're talking
- 8:31about patience, and our patience is already being tested this morning, Amen,
- 8:37like a lot of things. Especially if you ready, then your patience is
- 8:41going to be tested. If you ask God for peace, get ready,
- 8:43peace is going to be tested, Amen, because he wants us to see
- 8:46the difference between our old way of thinking and our new way of thinking.
- 8:50He wants us to see the difference between our old way of living and our
- 8:54new way of living. He wants us to see his power working through us.
- 8:58So when we ask for something, and we pray to God for something,
- 9:01get ready, He's going to test that something to make sure we know
- 9:05the difference between what is right and what is wrong, what is true and
- 9:07what is false, what is good and what is evil? A man,
- 9:11what is light and what is dark. He's going to give us the comparisons,
- 9:13and then we'll be able to move forward from there. So God is
- 9:18that faithful and good to his word a man that he will literally literally literally
- 9:22advance us in the kingdom process as we act and pray and keep connected with
- 9:28him, keep connected with God. Amen, don't give up. You might
- 9:33be you might be like one inch fourth in inches right away from the touchdown,
- 9:39away from the goal. So don't give up. And man, it's
- 9:43never too late. And if you need to restart, we start today.
- 9:46We start right now. We need to restart your relationship with the Lord.
- 9:50Rededicate your relationship with the Lord started right now. Tomorrow's not promised. We
- 9:52have right now, and it could be an incredible right now for your life
- 9:56and for my life if we continue to move on and move forward. Amen,
- 10:01So let's see what we have here. Consider your sins, and the
- 10:03image might be a little misleading. Just want to clarify. When I saw
- 10:09the apple in the man's hand and the head cut off, I thought about
- 10:13considering my own sin. So, of course, in the Garden of Adam
- 10:18and Eve, we always say that the forbidden fruit was an apple. We
- 10:22don't know that for sure. We just know it was a forbidden fruit.
- 10:24But for whatever reason, you could look it up through church history and through
- 10:28history that a lot of theologians, a lot of fathers of the faith felt
- 10:33that it was an apple for whatever reason. Amen, But we know it
- 10:37was definitely a fruit. So I just picked that because it reminded me of
- 10:43considering our sins and of course the temptation of eating the forbidden fruit. First
- 10:50Timothy, Chapter one, Versus fifteen and sixteen. The Bible says through the
- 10:52apostle Paul, writing to Timothy says the saying is trustworthy and deserving a full
- 11:01acceptance, that Christ, Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of
- 11:09whom I am the foremost. But I received mercy for this reason that in
- 11:16me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an
- 11:24example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life. Wow,
- 11:33this apostle that's writing this down inspired by Holy Spirit God writing to young Timothy
- 11:39at the time, which is a spiritual son and a young pastor, a
- 11:45young leader in the church. Apostle Paul saying, Jesus Christ came into the
- 11:52world to save sinners. You might think that's like elementary, right, But
- 11:58I can't tell you how many people that I've met from other different faiths that
- 12:03believe Jesus Christ came to condemn the world, to judge the world. They
- 12:07sometimes they say, yeah, he came to save the world, but he
- 12:09sinned as well. A lot of people think that Jesus Christ was an ordinary
- 12:15man, which is incredible to me, because an ordinary man would not have
- 12:18been born from a virgin, An ordinary man would not have been sought out
- 12:24at two years old by Magi and presented gifts. An ordinary man or ordinary
- 12:30human would not have come by way of angelic announcement. An ordinary man would
- 12:35not have done what Jesus did during his life here on earth. But a
- 12:41lot of people normalize this idea of Jesus being a sinner just like us,
- 12:46just being a man just like us, being a human just like us,
- 12:48and not realizing that he is almighty, that he's the eternal lifegiver, that
- 12:54he is the savior of the whole world, that he is the Alpha and
- 12:56Omega, that he's the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, that he's
- 13:01the firstborn of those that rose from the grave, the first born. He's
- 13:05the one and only living, holy, righteous King of Kings, Lord of
- 13:09Lords, Righteous God, righteous Son of God, righteous right son of Man,
- 13:16all deity. Right there, Jesus Christ came into the world to save
- 13:20sinners of whom I am. Apostle Paul says, he's the most Foremost.
- 13:26In other words, he's humbling himself, saying, I'm the most simple person
- 13:30out there, and man, when I look in the mirror, I don't
- 13:33look at my sin, though. I look at my savior, my salvation.
- 13:37And if I'm going to dwell on my sin, I'll just dwell in
- 13:39that. I'll sin all the time because I'm going to be thinking about it
- 13:43all the time. But if you look at the mirror and you look at
- 13:46the sins that were forgiven, if you look at the goodness of God in
- 13:50your life, if you look at the salvation that God has offered you,
- 13:54if you look at the born against situation that you're in right now, think
- 13:58of those things, amen, and you'll stop thinking about the sinful nature and
- 14:01the simpful things eventually. Right. But I received mercy for this reason that
- 14:07in me, in me, So you look at the mirror, say in
- 14:09me, as the Foremost Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience. So when
- 14:16your patience is being tested, we hide behind the Lord Jesus and allow him
- 14:20to have his patient working through us, display his perfect patients as an example
- 14:26to those who were to believe in him for eternal life. In other words,
- 14:31we should be different. We should consider our sins and treat people differently,
- 14:37treat people with kindness, with grace, with mercy, because guess what,
- 14:41the Lord Jesus has given us the kindness of God, the mercy of
- 14:45God as well. So I thought that was an eye opener. Amen.
- 14:48I know it's a little heavy for morning devo, but it definitely is an
- 14:52eye opener for me, right to consider my own sin. So that way,
- 14:56before I go and I just as out on somebody or something happens and
- 15:01I get angry, I should be slow to anger, right, quick to
- 15:05listen. I should be considering my own sin. I should be patient as
- 15:09God is patient with me. Right. So these are the things that we
- 15:13could do to exercise our faith, to grow our faith, right, to
- 15:18grow our understanding and who God is in our lives. So when you consider
- 15:26this, you realize that it's not just other people who have had occasion to
- 15:33be impatient and frustrated with me. Right. I know I could get people
- 15:37frustrated. I know I could get people impatient. Amen. I'm married twenty
- 15:41five years, so my wife could tell you that I am not the easiest
- 15:45person to live with or the easiest person out here. But I consider now
- 15:50a lot of things before I do a lot of things right, considering my
- 15:54own sin. Kiss me at day, Amen, Doctor Phyllis Cologne. God
- 15:58bless you, and welcome to the morning Devo, hallelujah, Good morning,
- 16:02my brother, Good morning to you as well. No one has more just
- 16:06cause to be irritated with me than God himself. God could literally be irritated
- 16:12with me, and I could give him reason to do that. You could
- 16:15give them reason to be irritated. But through his word we see that God
- 16:22has given me clear instructions about how to live and how to behave We have
- 16:27it. We don't have really a lot of excuses. But I didn't know
- 16:30I was supposed to not do that. God gives us clear instructions. I
- 16:34think a lot of people don't want to go to the scriptures or turn to
- 16:37the Bible because they know there's going to be some change going on in their
- 16:41hearts and minds. Once you read it and apply the word to God in
- 16:45your lives, you know there's going to be some changes. A lot of
- 16:48people don't like change. They want to stay the same old, same old
- 16:51way. They don't want to try to limit they want to live limit themselves,
- 16:56and they don't want to stretch themselves. They don't want to do with
- 16:59the Lord is asking of us to do right. And that's the flesh.
- 17:03The flesh is always going to fight against the will of God over our lives,
- 17:07always going to fight against the spirit of God. The flesh is a
- 17:11monster. Get ready to fight the flesh daily. The flesh doesn't take a
- 17:15day off. The devil doesn't take a day off. And guess what,
- 17:18our God doesn't take a day off either. And his word is always true,
- 17:22is always relevant, It's always powerful, always has authority, always has
- 17:26full power. The word of God never loses his power, It never loses
- 17:30his value, It never loses his strength, it never loses its relevance.
- 17:34So get that thinking thinking out of your mind. If that's the way you
- 17:37think, Oh this is this word is not good for us anymore. Now
- 17:41this word is good for us daily. Amen. This word is food to
- 17:45our soul, food to our fuel to our spirit. Amen. We need
- 17:49his word daily. And man, it's not one day. I could go
- 17:52without his word and act like I got it all together, because I don't
- 17:55have it altogether. But I could introduce you to the one who does have
- 17:57it all together. His name is the Lord Jesus. Tell it like it
- 18:00is. I'm trying. Amen. So in today's words we see the apostle
- 18:06Paul. He wrote about the perfect, perfect patience of God that's going on
- 18:14in his life. What about your life? In my life? I know
- 18:17God is patient with me. In your life. You should realize that patience
- 18:21of God over your life as well. And Man, a lot of people
- 18:23won't tolerate behaviors, but God will tolerate it. Not only tolerated, though
- 18:29He would change us in our behavior. He offer us eternal life. He
- 18:33will offer forgiveness. He would guide us and guard us by way of His
- 18:37Holy Spirit, and he tells us what to do when we get into those
- 18:41situations where our faith where our patients, where our peace, when our salvation
- 18:47is being tested. He would put us in a situation where we could count
- 18:49on Him to help us. All we got to do is call out to
- 18:52him. Right through his word. God has given us clear instructions, but
- 18:57over and over again he has watched us do the exact opposite of his commands,
- 19:03and yet He still is available to forgive us. This is an amazing
- 19:08concept to me. Amen, we don't have to live in an old way
- 19:12yesterday. My pastor preach about the old life and the new life, and
- 19:17it's so true. The old life. You have to really repeat things over
- 19:21and over again in your mind, because when you're being born again, you're
- 19:23renewed. Right, you start considering your sin differently. Amen. You just
- 19:29start pondering and pondering and pondering about the past. You start thinking about it,
- 19:32talking about it, sleeping on it, waking up on it. I
- 19:34like, no, you consider your own sins. Go to the word of
- 19:38God. God's word will help you. God's word is holy. God is
- 19:41holy, and he will cleanse us from all unrighteousness, all unholiness. There's
- 19:47a holy spirit, and there's an unholy spirit that's going on in this world
- 19:51right. There's an imitation of God's spirit in this world, and it's a
- 19:55bad spirit. It's not a good spirit. The Holy Spirit of God that
- 19:57lives within every single breathing, living son and daughter of the Living God.
- 20:03Amen, will guide us into all truth. We could grieve the Holy Spirit.
- 20:07That's how kind God is to us that we could grieve his spirit.
- 20:10We could do something opposite of his commands, opposite of his word, and
- 20:15because of his patience, it seems like, and listen to me closely,
- 20:18it seems like we're taking advantage, advantage of his grace. But we're not.
- 20:22God's riches at Christ's expense can never be taken advantage of. But because
- 20:27of his kindness, and we think, oh, I got away with that,
- 20:30or God is not gonna see me doing this, or no, be
- 20:36careful with that. Man. I don't know if it's true or not,
- 20:40but I heard it said that grace runs out one day. Because God loves
- 20:45us so much, he doesn't want us to go on walk off a cliff
- 20:48right, being a representative of the Kingdom of God, and we continue sinning
- 20:52and going the other way, he might intervene and take us out of here
- 20:56for the sake of the kingdom, for the sake of his name, for
- 21:00the sake of our salvation. Amen. And that's why I'm mindful and I
- 21:04consider my sins. What about you? So in today's verse, the apostle
- 21:08Paul wrote about the perfect patience that God had exhibited in his life. So
- 21:12he has a perfect example that he could share, even call himself the foremost
- 21:18of sinners. So why you think Apostle Paul, someone who wrote about half
- 21:23of the New Testament, and someone who could be considered to be a great
- 21:27hero of the Christian faith. Why would he call himself the worst of sinners?
- 21:33I think Paul was humbling himself, or he might be using hyperbole,
- 21:37you know the language of the day when he was writing it that says you
- 21:41better be careful because you are one of those sinners that I'm talking about.
- 21:45He was not quick to forget his past. Remember, if you know anything
- 21:49about the apostle Paul, he wasn't always an apostle. He was definitely not
- 21:53a believer or follower a disciple of Christ. He was one who would go
- 21:57with a warrant or Christians and watched them get murdered. And he just hated
- 22:03the Gospel message. He thought it was heresy. He thought it was something
- 22:07outside of his Judaean law abiding ruling idea and concept of the Word of God.
- 22:18He was a Pharisee, right, Paul using his Hebrew name Saul at
- 22:23the time, who approved the stoning of Stephen he was there, and who
- 22:27persecuted the early Church and dragged Christians off to prison. You could see that
- 22:33in Acts chapter seven verses fifty eight, Acts, Chapter eight, verses one
- 22:37to three. If you don't believe me, amen, I'm talking about that
- 22:41same Apostle Paul. It wasn't until his miraculous encounter with the Lord Jesus that
- 22:47he converted to Christianity and became the bold leader of the early Church that we
- 22:52think of today. You could see that in Acts chapter nine. Amen.
- 22:56So this history behind why Apostle Paul said what he said, and it wasn't
- 23:00just a conversion, it was a transformation. Amen. I know he was
- 23:04doing one He was going one way and doing one thing, and then Jesus
- 23:08get an accounter with the Lord by way of a vision, by way of
- 23:11the spirit of God, knocked them off his high horse literally amen. And
- 23:18then God started working on him, blinding him and sent someone to lay hands
- 23:21on him so he could regain his sight. And then he was under some
- 23:25teaching of I think Pastor James in the scripture. I know he started getting
- 23:32disciples and man the Apostle Paul, and then he went on to be used
- 23:36mightily by God. You see all through the scriptures where you could see his
- 23:41past and his testimony. In the Book of Acts chapter seven, Chapter eight
- 23:47and chapter nine. You could check that out for yourself. That's a good
- 23:49reading to see about the history and you know the background of the Apostle Paul.
- 23:56Paul didn't have a blind spot to his sin. In Romans eighteen to
- 24:00twenty Romans Chapter seven, eighteen to twenty five, Paul described his battle between
- 24:04his simple flesh and his desire to do what is right. There's a battle
- 24:10going on, right, everybody's going through this battle. He man, I'm
- 24:12just looking at the time over here. Everybody's going through this battle. For
- 24:15I know that nothing good dwells in me. This is Apostle Paul, I
- 24:18acording what the Apostle Paul said. For no, nothing good dwells in me,
- 24:22that is in my flesh. Think about it, the flesh. They
- 24:26really not good about the flesh. For I have the desire to do what
- 24:30is right, but not the ability to carry it out. For I do
- 24:33not for I do not do the good I want. But but the evil
- 24:41I do not want is what I keep on doing. So there's a struggle
- 24:45here. And know, he's not crazy, he's not bipolar. He's just
- 24:48being honest, and he's being humble enough to admit his struggle between the flesh
- 24:52and the spirit, between the right that he knows to do and the wrong
- 24:55that the flesh wants him to do. Right Now, if I do what
- 25:00I do not want, is it no longer I, who do it but
- 25:03sin? It is no longer I, who do it, but sin that
- 25:07dwells within me. You have to study that out, because Holy spavorite dwells
- 25:11within a believer, not sin. Or you have to think about what he's
- 25:15saying. He's considering his sin. We have to think about what he just
- 25:19wrote a man. You might have to do a Greek word study to make
- 25:25sure we're getting the thought that he's speaking out, because if you see it,
- 25:27if you read it the way we just read it in English, it
- 25:30kind of like it's a little confusing. And we know that God is not
- 25:33a god of confusion. God is a God of order. Now, if
- 25:37I do what I do not want, it is no longer I who do
- 25:40it, but sin that dwells within me. So I find it to be
- 25:42a law that when I want to do right, evil lies close at hand.
- 25:48Right for I delight in the law of God in my inner being,
- 25:53but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my
- 25:57mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members.
- 26:03Wretched man that I am, Who will deliver me from this body of
- 26:07death? It's a good question, right, who will deliver us from this
- 26:11body of death? Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
- 26:15So then I myself serve the law of God with my mind, But with
- 26:21my flesh I serve the law of sin. Right nobody, no flesh will
- 26:26enter into the Kingdom of heaven. The word says Amen for obvious reasons.
- 26:32And we can see that today by the Apostle Paul. So Apostle Paul has
- 26:36taught us and that we humble ourselves, consider our own ways, our own
- 26:40sins, be patient like God's being patient with us, and we will consider
- 26:44things differently going forward. So read the first chapter of Timothy. First Timothy,
- 26:49read the whole chapter. We camped out at verses fifteen and sixteen.
- 26:53But I suggest you read the whole chapter for yourself. Pray fully, consider
- 26:56your sins, and ask the question, how has God been patient towards you?
- 27:02Amen? You ever thought about that? This God is patient? So
- 27:04I'm out of time. Amen, Thank you so much. For hanging out
- 27:07with me for this morning DEVO. Get ready for what's coming next on Celebrator
- 27:11Network. Amen, you'll be blessed by that as well. So God bless
- 27:14you all. Got to keep you all and remember always that God is good. Please,
