Democrats Demand Answers on Ghislaine Maxwell Prison Transfer (6/12/26) · The Epstein Chronicles

• 0:03
Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
• 0:06
Epstein Chronicles. When it comes to Jeffrey Epstein and Glayne Maxwell,
• 0:11
there are many unanswered questions, and one of the questions
• 0:15
that's burning hot right now is why Galaine Maxwell was transferred.
• 0:22
We have no answers. Nobody's come forward and told us
• 0:26
anything about it. And not only that, but they like
• 0:28
get offended if you have any questions about why Glaine
• 0:32
Maxwell was moved. There was no justification for it, and
• 0:37
there was no reason for it. So basically, they just
• 0:40
wasted your tax dollars to get Glainne Maxwell better treatment.
• 0:45
So she'd say a couple of nice things about Donald
• 0:47
Trump and imagine you have to rely on Glaine Maxwell
• 0:51
as some kind of character builder. Holy shit, how the
• 0:55
Mighty have fallen. Today's article is from ms now and
• 0:59
the Democrats demand answers over DOJ's prison policy tied to
• 1:04
Glene Maxwell. This article was authored by Kevin frey House.
• 1:11
Democrats want answers about a recent policy change at the
• 1:14
Federal Bureau of Prisons, arguing leaders at the Department of
• 1:17
Justice are trying to cover their attracts Following the August
• 1:21
transfer of Jeffrey Epstein associate Glene Maxwell to a lower
• 1:25
security facility. So you can't retroactively change the policy and
• 1:29
then say, oh, this is what we were doing. That's
• 1:32
not how it works and it's part of the cover up.
• 1:36
I hate to keep saying it, but that's what we're
• 1:38
looking at. That's what's happening right now in real time.
• 1:42
That new policy, which was published last month and has
• 1:45
not been previously reported, dictates that in certain circumstances, the
• 1:49
Attorney General may exercise authority to designate or redesignate the
• 1:54
place of a prisoner's imprisonment. So, like I told you
• 1:57
before the DOJ over theop so when you have Pambondi
• 2:02
telling us she has no idea, that's a lie. Either
• 2:05
that or she wasn't really in charge of the DOJ,
• 2:09
which is quite possible. She could have been in the
• 2:12
face with Todd Blanche really in charge. That one shocked me.
• 2:17
That new policy, which was published last month and has
• 2:20
not been previously reported, dictates that in certain circumstances, the
• 2:24
Attorney General may exercise authority to designate or redesignate the
• 2:28
place of a prisoner's imprisonment. Democrats argue the expansion of
• 2:32
federal authority over inmate placement is a major departure from
• 2:36
previous policy, which they said vested more authority in the
• 2:40
Bureau of Prisons and placed specific restrictions on where inmates
• 2:44
could be held, including taking into account whether the prisoner
• 2:48
is a sex offender. Oh, that doesn't matter anymore. That's
• 2:52
all a hoax. The only time it matters is if
• 2:55
they think they can score political points talking about it. Oh,
• 2:57
the FBI found so and so many kids. Oh the
• 3:01
FBI did this. Oh the FBI did that. Vafongul the FBI.
• 3:05
How about that? Because they haven't done shit here besides
• 3:09
protect Epstein and his friends and continue to light to
• 3:13
all of us. That's all they've done here, and now
• 3:15
with their new little policy change, they're trying to cover
• 3:18
it up. Representative Deborah Ross of North Carolina, a Democratic
• 3:23
member of the House Judiciary Committee, said the clear implication
• 3:26
is that under the old rules, the Department of Justice
• 3:29
violated the Bureau of Prison's own rules when it transferred
• 3:33
to Glenn Maxwell to Club fed where sex offenders are
• 3:36
not allowed to be. Since it violated the policy for
• 3:39
who can do prison transfers, they're trying to cover their
• 3:42
attracts retroactively. Ross alleged, well, you can't commit a crime
• 3:48
and then go back and change the law retroactively and say, hey, look,
• 3:52
we shouldn't go to jail now. Because if that's the case,
• 3:56
then every single person who's ever been busted for illegal
• 3:59
gamblings sports gambling should have their whole entire record cleaned off, right,
• 4:04
if we're retroactively going back and doing that. But that's
• 4:08
not how it works for most people. Then again, most
• 4:11
people aren't Glenne Maxwell. Last year, Maxwell was transferred from
• 4:17
a low security facility in Florida to a minimum security
• 4:21
camp in Texas, shortly after she met with then Deputy
• 4:24
Attorney General Todd Blanche, who said he wanted to talk
• 4:27
about what she knows about Epstein. And Blanche had the
• 4:31
audacity to say he wanted to get Maxwell's story, buddy,
• 4:35
she had a chance to tell her story. She didn't
• 4:37
take the stand, she didn't get up there and tell
• 4:39
the truth. In fact, she's done nothing but lie the
• 4:43
whole time. And I hate to break the news to you,
• 4:46
Todd Blanche, but she lied to you too. Maxwell serving
• 4:50
a twenty year sentence for her role in a scheme
• 4:52
to sexually exploit and abuse miners. She has appealed for
• 4:56
President Donald Trump to grant her clemency. It's a little
• 4:59
more than and that her role in his scheme to
• 5:01
sexually exploit and abuse miners. She took part in the
• 5:04
abuse herself. This woman is almost as evil, if not
• 5:08
as evil as Jeffrey Epstein. I don't think it takes
• 5:13
a rocket scientist to figure out what they're doing, Ross
• 5:16
said of the doj apping out pressure on the Trump
• 5:18
administration for answers, Ross sent a letter shared first with
• 5:22
ms NOW, to the Federal Bureau of Prisons on Friday morning.
• 5:26
In it, Ross asked the agency to explain what prompted
• 5:30
the policy change and how it developed. She also asked
• 5:33
for the Bureau to detail how many times the Attorney
• 5:36
General has intervened regarding a prison designation or redesignation decision.
• 5:41
My guess is not very often. Not exactly what the
• 5:44
deputy Attorney General does. Usually they say on the phone
• 5:49
and they negotiate secret NPA deals, you know, from the
• 5:53
main Justice office. They don't go down to talk to
• 5:57
a criminal like Laane Maxwell. As Todd Blanche went and
• 6:01
talked to Madero. As Todd Blanche went and talked to
• 6:04
El Choppo as he went and talked to insert mafia
• 6:09
guy here. Of course he hasn't because those dudes don't
• 6:13
have any information on his boss. And I think that
• 6:16
this is the clearest example of the cover up and
• 6:19
quid pro quo that we have, And if a special
• 6:22
counsel took a look at this case, my guess is
• 6:25
a whole lot of people would end up indicted, and
• 6:28
a lot of them would end up convicted because this
• 6:32
cover up is obvious, and they're doing it in such
• 6:36
a blatant manner, in such a few kind of way
• 6:40
that it really makes me wonder what else they have
• 6:41
up their sleeve, because if this is it, I think
• 6:44
they miscalculated because people are sick of it, and people
• 6:50
know that there's obvious favoritism being played to Glenn Maxwell,
• 6:55
and there's no answer for it. There's no reason for it.
• 6:58
You're just told to accept it. Given congress responsibility to
• 7:06
oversee the federal correctional system and ensure that the BOP
• 7:09
policies are evidence based, transparent, and consistent with statutory requirements,
• 7:15
we require answers on how and why your bureau decided
• 7:18
to give Attorney General the authority to unilaterally transfer inmates
• 7:23
and disregard the BOP evaluation of an inmate safety classification.
• 7:27
Ross writes in the letter, So now when the prosecution
• 7:31
gets a conviction, are they just going to choose where
• 7:33
they send these people that have been convicted, because that's
• 7:37
not how it worked. Previously that was up to the GOP,
• 7:42
but now it's going to be up to the Attorney General.
• 7:47
The letter also says the new policy raises troubling questions
• 7:50
about the scope of the Attorney General's asserted authority, the
• 7:54
circumstances under which his authority may be exercised, and the
• 7:58
potential effects on institutional operationations, fairness, transparency, and consistency in
• 8:03
federal prisoner replacement decisions. Well, yeah, what it does is
• 8:07
it sets it up for people to get hooked up.
• 8:10
Everybody should be treated the same, and the Deputy Attorney
• 8:13
General shouldn't be going to see Glenn Maxwell, and then
• 8:16
Glenn Maxwell shouldn't be getting favorable treatment on the back
• 8:19
end of that, especially in the light of Maxwell's transfer.
• 8:24
The letter continues, any policy update warrants careful scrutiny by
• 8:28
Congress and the public. One thousand percent, did they really
• 8:32
think they were going to slide this by. Did they
• 8:35
really think that they were just going to retroactively change
• 8:38
this and all of us are going to be like, oh,
• 8:40
look that's what the law says. Now, there's going to
• 8:42
be a portion of people that say that, you know,
• 8:44
the hoax people, the people that will do whatever Donald
• 8:48
Trump tells them. Oh yeah, those people, they'll say it, Well, look,
• 8:52
this is a policy that's in place. There's nothing amiss here,
• 8:55
there's no cover up. Most transparent administration and history. The
• 9:00
letter is co signed by Representative Jamie Raskin of Maryland,
• 9:03
who is poised to become the next chairman of the
• 9:05
House Judiciary Committee if Democrats win control of the Chamber
• 9:09
in November, and Representative Rocanna, who spearheaded the congressional effort
• 9:14
to force the release of the Epstein files. Ms NOW
• 9:18
separately reached out to the DOJ and the Federal Bureau
• 9:21
of Prisons to ask for an explanation of the policy change.
• 9:25
Neither agency responded. The demand for answers from House Democrats
• 9:29
comes as Blanche Trump's pick to serve as the next
• 9:32
Attorney General is staring down the Senate confirmation process. God,
• 9:37
I really hope they don't confirm them. I really hope,
• 9:41
I mean they will because way too many people are
• 9:43
willing to do whatever Donald Trump says. But they shouldn't.
• 9:48
You guys thought that fucking Merrick Garland was bad, wait
• 9:52
until you get a load of Todd. Blanche Ross told
• 9:55
ms Now that provided the Bureau of Prisons does not
• 9:58
respond to their House inquiry, Democrats will urge their Senate
• 10:01
colleagues to ask Blanche about the prison policy change when
• 10:06
it comes time for his confirmation hearing. We hope it
• 10:09
comes up, she said, and they should. Everything should be
• 10:12
on the table when you're having a confirmation hearing. Everything
• 10:16
should be on the table, and they need to bring
• 10:19
it up. Getting to the bottom of the policy revision,
• 10:22
she said, will also likely be part of the Democratic
• 10:25
efforts next year to conduct oversight of the Trump White
• 10:28
House and the tandling of the Epstein case. Should they
• 10:31
win control of the House and the Committee Gabbles in
• 10:35
November's midterms, you can be sure of it, she said.
• 10:38
And look, these Democrats have been talking a big game,
• 10:41
big game, and if they do win when the midterms
• 10:45
come rolling around, they're going to be held accountable for
• 10:49
what they have said. And if you think that I'm
• 10:51
giving them a pass, you're crazy. I'm not. They're going
• 10:55
to have to step up to the plate and they're
• 10:58
gonna have to do everything they said they were going
• 10:59
to do. And I wish I could tell you that
• 11:01
I'm confident that that's the case, but I'm not because
• 11:05
at this point I'm in show me mode. I don't
• 11:08
care what any of these people tell us. Let's see
• 11:11
the proof. Let's see the evidence, because when you chop
• 11:14
it all up, words are just wind. That's it. They
• 11:17
don't mean anything if there's no follow through. So if
• 11:19
the Democrats win the midterms, they'll have a chance to
• 11:22
put their money where their mouth is. The question is
• 11:25
well they have the courage to do it. All the
• 11:28
