- 0:00Speaker 1: Fly from Midtown Manhattan.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Here comes the Mark Simone Show on seven Trday.
- 0:12Speaker 3: It's only Tuesday, but you know, today's the first day
- 0:15Speaker 3: of spring training.
- 0:16Speaker 4: That's right.
- 0:17Speaker 3: Spring is just a few weeks away, just a few weeks.
- 0:21Speaker 3: Spring training opens today. Hey, we got a lot to
- 0:23Speaker 3: get to. We'll get to the latest on the Guth
- 0:25Speaker 3: three kidnapping. We'll get to Bad Bunny. There's all sorts
- 0:29Speaker 3: of Epstein developments. We'll get to that. We'll get to
- 0:32Speaker 3: Cardinal Dolan, We'll get to Bruce Blakeman. He's picked a
- 0:36Speaker 3: running mate. He'll get the nomination. Actually, tomorrow morning he'll
- 0:39Speaker 3: officially become the candidate. Super Bowl is over, and now
- 0:46Speaker 3: I realized it's gonna be the first weekend with no football.
- 0:48Speaker 3: There's nothing to watch this weekend football wise. So the
- 0:52Speaker 3: Bad Bunny thing I think was great because it's first
- 0:57Speaker 3: of all, he.
- 0:58Speaker 4: Wasn't that bad. He was pretty good. I don't know
- 1:00Speaker 4: one thing he said. You couldn't understand him. It was
- 1:01Speaker 4: in Spanish, but it looks good. The moves, well, scenery
- 1:06Speaker 4: was great, it was staging it. It was okay, probably
- 1:10Speaker 4: not the best choice, but but it's it was worth
- 1:13Speaker 4: it just to watch the entire left wing, all the Democrats,
- 1:18Speaker 4: all the media watched them, have to convince themselves that
- 1:21Speaker 4: pretend that they're big Bad Bunny fans, especially the older liberals,
- 1:25Speaker 4: the older left wing media people. They have to pretend
- 1:29Speaker 4: they're they're really big fans of that bad Bunny boy.
- 1:32Speaker 4: They love that bad Bunny. If you grab their phone,
- 1:35Speaker 4: let me see your playlist. I don't see any Bad
- 1:37Speaker 4: Bunny in there. But they got to pretend they love
- 1:40Speaker 4: bad Bunny because this is the latest anti Trump thing
- 1:43Speaker 4: they can do. It was out protesting ice, now it's
- 1:46Speaker 4: defending bad Bunny. Meantime, Bad Bunny says, cashing in on this. Now,
- 1:51Speaker 4: you gotta remember, there were a lot of reasons you
- 1:53Speaker 4: got to peel away the layers of this. This Roger Goodell,
- 1:59Speaker 4: who you look at that guy and he's just look
- 2:01Speaker 4: a very unpleasant guy. He looks like the worst high
- 2:05Speaker 4: school principle you ever saw, Just a stern, unpleasant looking guy.
- 2:09Speaker 4: He's got no personality, absolutely humorless. And you wonder, how
- 2:14Speaker 4: the hell does this guy get eighty million a year
- 2:16Speaker 4: or whatever he gets to be the NFL commissioner. How
- 2:18Speaker 4: does he last so long? Because the owners love him
- 2:23Speaker 4: the fans can't stand him. The owners love Roger Goodell.
- 2:27Speaker 4: He makes them a fortune. He's the best negotiator. He's
- 2:32Speaker 4: a ruthless, brutal negotiator with the networks. You put him
- 2:35Speaker 4: in a courtroom and there's an NFL lawsuit, He's great
- 2:38Speaker 4: in a courtroom, very skilled at all that stuff. And
- 2:41Speaker 4: also he's a mastermind, always scheming, scheming, scheming, scheming to
- 2:47Speaker 4: make the NFL more money. So they've been plotting the
- 2:50Speaker 4: last few years. Couple of things. One one of the
- 2:53Speaker 4: reasons for bad Bunny Big Big Big with a Hispanic community,
- 2:57Speaker 4: and the Hispanic community tends to like soccer and not
- 3:01Speaker 4: really football. You got to remember people that have come
- 3:03Speaker 4: from somewhere else, they're big soccer fans. You know, football
- 3:08Speaker 4: is the number one most popular sport in America. Around
- 3:12Speaker 4: the world, it doesn't even make the top ten. It's
- 3:14Speaker 4: not that popular around the world. So they make a
- 3:17Speaker 4: fortune here in the US. But Roger Goodell knows, and
- 3:21Speaker 4: the NFL realizes to make more money. To grow this thing,
- 3:24Speaker 4: they got to go international. That's why they start playing
- 3:26Speaker 4: the games overseas every season. And now they're going to
- 3:30Speaker 4: try to appeal to other countries, other languages. They want
- 3:33Speaker 4: to make this league international, they want to go worldwide.
- 3:35Speaker 4: So that's one reason for a bad Bunny.
- 3:40Speaker 2: But just.
- 3:42Speaker 4: Forcing all these Democrats have to pretend they love bad Bunny,
- 3:46Speaker 4: it was worth it. Now. Glaine Maxwell testified yesterday she
- 3:52Speaker 4: took the fifth on everything because she's appealing her case.
- 3:55Speaker 4: It's going to come up in court pretty soon, so
- 3:57Speaker 4: she used that as a justification for taking the fifth.
- 4:01Speaker 4: She well, here she is.
- 4:02Speaker 5: I would like to answer your question, but on the
- 4:04Speaker 5: advice of Council, I respectfully decline to answer this question
- 4:09Speaker 5: and any related questions. My habeas petition is pending in
- 4:15Speaker 5: the Sudden District of New York. I therefore invoke my
- 4:18Speaker 5: right silence under the Fifth Amendment to the US Constitution.
- 4:23Speaker 4: Now I knew Glaine Maxwell. She sounds quite proper, but
- 4:28Speaker 4: in real life was a raunchy kind of a woman,
- 4:32Speaker 4: rough and tough and raunchy. She has told the committee,
- 4:36Speaker 4: she's implied that she could well, she said it publicly,
- 4:40Speaker 4: that she could clear Donald Trump and Bill Clinton of
- 4:45Speaker 4: all wrongdoing. But she wants clemency. She does not want
- 4:49Speaker 4: to be a charge. She wants the charges dropped. And
- 4:51Speaker 4: now Donald Trump does not need clearing. There was never
- 4:54Speaker 4: a hint of him ever being involved in anything bad
- 4:57Speaker 4: with Epstein. Billy. In fact, he off Epstein twenty something
- 5:01Speaker 4: years ago. He just stopped talking to me. First, got
- 5:04Speaker 4: whiff of Epstein hitting on a young woman at mar Alago,
- 5:07Speaker 4: threw him out of the club, immediately distanced him, warned
- 5:11Speaker 4: to everybody, including me, back then, stay away from Epstein.
- 5:14Speaker 4: And the guy that was the police chief, Palm Beach,
- 5:20Speaker 4: came out yesterday and revealed he was the police chief
- 5:22Speaker 4: in two thousand and eight when they went after Epstein,
- 5:25Speaker 4: and he said one of the first calls he got
- 5:26Speaker 4: was from Donald Trump back in two thousand and eight,
- 5:29Speaker 4: who said, I'm glad you're going after Epstein. And he
- 5:32Speaker 4: told him about the problem he had with Epstein and
- 5:34Speaker 4: mar A Lago, and he said, everybody knows about this guy.
- 5:36Speaker 4: You got to go after him. And he encouraged him
- 5:39Speaker 4: to take a really good look at Gallayne Maxwell, saying
- 5:41Speaker 4: she's evil, she's the accomplice. Look at her. But he
- 5:44Speaker 4: really encouraged the police to go after him. So she
- 5:50Speaker 4: wants to clemency.
- 5:51Speaker 3: Now.
- 5:51Speaker 4: Bill Clinton has a problem because he continued his relationship
- 5:54Speaker 4: with Epstein right to the very end, and Epstein was
- 5:58Speaker 4: very the only relationship Trump had with Epstein. He was
- 6:01Speaker 4: a wealthy guy. He showed up in Palm Beach, and
- 6:03Speaker 4: when you were a wealthy guy in Palm Beach, you
- 6:05Speaker 4: joined mar A Lago. And he started coming there, spending
- 6:07Speaker 4: a ton of money and going to the parties. And
- 6:10Speaker 4: Trump would stand there in the parties and talk to him,
- 6:14Speaker 4: and that was really about the whole relationship. A couple
- 6:17Speaker 4: of times Trump hitched a ride on Epstein's plane down
- 6:21Speaker 4: to Palm Beach. People used to do that back then.
- 6:24Speaker 4: If you wanted to go to Palm Beach for the weekend,
- 6:26Speaker 4: you'd hit your ride, sometimes on Trump's plane, Epstein's plane.
- 6:28Speaker 4: People would do that very often. But whenever the two
- 6:31Speaker 4: times Trump went on Epstein's plane, it was with his
- 6:33Speaker 4: wife and daughter. But Clinton is different. Clinton had a very,
- 6:39Speaker 4: very very close relationship with Epstein. Look at the White
- 6:42Speaker 4: House visitors logs when Clinton was there. Epstein's a regular visitor,
- 6:48Speaker 4: sleeping over at the White House. He's hundreds and hundreds
- 6:51Speaker 4: of times in the White House. It was Epstein who
- 6:53Speaker 4: helped form the Clinton Foundation Clinton Global Initiative. One of
- 6:57Speaker 4: the reasons Epstein was able to ingratiate himself with so
- 7:01Speaker 4: many people was his check book. He had what they
- 7:03Speaker 4: call check's appeal. He would write massive checks, even the
- 7:06Speaker 4: Palm Beach Police Department. I give him credit for going
- 7:09Speaker 4: after him because Epstein was a big donor the Palm Beach.
- 7:13Speaker 4: It was just his weekend house. But he gave the
- 7:16Speaker 4: police department forty thousand to buy some piece of equipment
- 7:19Speaker 4: they needed, then later give him ninety thousand for by
- 7:22Speaker 4: another piece of equipment they needed, donated heavily to their
- 7:25Speaker 4: scholarship foundation. Just a big, big donor. He wrote checks
- 7:29Speaker 4: to everybody, celebrities, colleges, that's where they were all over them.
- 7:34Speaker 4: So here's comer. He's the chairman of the committee.
- 7:36Speaker 6: As expected, Laige Maxwell took the fifth and refused to
- 7:40Speaker 6: answer any questions. This obviously is very disappointing. We had
- 7:44Speaker 6: many questions to ask about the crime she and Epstein committed. Yeah,
- 7:48Speaker 6: she's asked for clemency from the president. So I, personally,
- 7:53Speaker 6: for the reasons you just stated, don't think she should
- 7:57Speaker 6: be granted any type of immunity or clemency.
- 7:59Speaker 4: Yeah, and Donald Trump doesn't need his name cleared with Epstein,
- 8:02Speaker 4: so I don't think he's gonna give her any Clemency Comber.
- 8:04Speaker 4: We love Comber. He's a great guy, but he tends
- 8:07Speaker 4: to overpromise and underdeliver. As I always tell you, Republicans
- 8:11Speaker 4: are not good at hearings. They Democrats do hearings. They
- 8:15Speaker 4: wipe people out. Democrats when they have a hearing, they
- 8:18Speaker 4: tear into the person. Twenty of them just rip the
- 8:21Speaker 4: person apart like pitbulls. It's vicious when the Republicans try
- 8:25Speaker 4: to do the same thing to hear Yeah, they never
- 8:27Speaker 4: quite get it done. It's a little harmless. He let's
- 8:30Speaker 4: get to Nancy Guthrie. The deadline has been missed. Well,
- 8:36Speaker 4: we don't know. The deadline was last night five o'clock
- 8:38Speaker 4: our time, but well actually it was five o'clock her time,
- 8:43Speaker 4: so it would be seven o'clock our time. The deadline passed.
- 8:46Speaker 4: We don't know if ransom was paid or not paid.
- 8:49Speaker 4: The Feds are now in charge of the investigation, and
- 8:52Speaker 4: the Feds are very good at keeping a lid on everything.
- 8:54Speaker 4: They keep everything quiet, so we don't know if the
- 8:58Speaker 4: ransom was paid. They asked for six million in bitcoin.
- 9:03Speaker 4: We do know there are new videos it's Savannah Guthrie
- 9:07Speaker 4: put out.
- 9:07Speaker 2: No matter where you are, even if you're far from Tucson,
- 9:11Speaker 2: if you see anything, you hear anything, if there's anything
- 9:15Speaker 2: at all that seems strange to you that you report
- 9:19Speaker 2: to law enforcement.
- 9:21Speaker 4: Yeah, I guess she's talking about neighbors, anybody in the neighborhood.
- 9:24Speaker 4: You know, people that have been there, the reporters, the
- 9:27Speaker 4: people covering the situation. They've been to Nancy Guthrie's house.
- 9:31Speaker 4: They've been outside there. They tell me it's incredibly dark.
- 9:35Speaker 4: You know, it's out in the desert. There's no street lights.
- 9:37Speaker 4: It's unbelievably dark. You can't see a thing around when
- 9:41Speaker 4: you look around in the streets there.
- 9:42Speaker 2: We believe our mom is still out there. We need
- 9:47Speaker 2: your help. Law enforcement is working tirelessly around the clock
- 9:55Speaker 2: trying to bring her home, trying to find her. She
- 9:58Speaker 2: was taken and we don't know where, and we need
- 10:02Speaker 2: your help.
- 10:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:03Speaker 4: Now, they asked for six million in bitcoin. Now here's
- 10:08Speaker 4: the thing. A lot of people don't know this, but bitcoin,
- 10:12Speaker 4: it is traceable. It can be traced. In fact, if
- 10:16Speaker 4: you got the bitcoin stuck, it may take a little
- 10:18Speaker 4: drop pretty soon because as this case, unfolds. If they're
- 10:21Speaker 4: able to track down the criminals and people realize you
- 10:25Speaker 4: can be tracked through bitcoin, that's going to cause them
- 10:28Speaker 4: a little lack of sales because a lot of criminals,
- 10:30Speaker 4: drug dealers, they love to use bitcoin because they think
- 10:34Speaker 4: it's totally untraceable. But the criminal, if it's the real
- 10:39Speaker 4: criminal in the note, did give an exact bitcoin address. Now,
- 10:43Speaker 4: what they'll often do in that case is just somebody
- 10:46Speaker 4: will send a little money to that address, just a
- 10:48Speaker 4: little amount to that bitcoin address, and then there's ways
- 10:51Speaker 4: of tracking it as it goes through the blockchain, and
- 10:55Speaker 4: you send a small amount to that crypto wallet and
- 10:57Speaker 4: you can sort of see where it lands gets you're
- 11:00Speaker 4: closer and closer, and the local sheriff and the local
- 11:03Speaker 4: police probably can't do this, but the the Feds are
- 11:07Speaker 4: really good at tracing this down. Cryptocurrency is not untraceable.
- 11:12Speaker 4: There is data that can be scraped from just a
- 11:16Speaker 4: simple transaction that can yield a lot of information. And
- 11:20Speaker 4: there have been cases where they have tracked somebody through crypto.
- 11:23Speaker 4: It can be done. There's in the FEDS, there's a
- 11:27Speaker 4: real experts on blockchain forensic They can trace all the
- 11:31Speaker 4: blocks that generate each and every transaction. They can actually
- 11:35Speaker 4: you see what you send a code to someone one
- 11:37Speaker 4: wallet to another. But when you send a code, you
- 11:42Speaker 4: know things are in that code. There's our ways, there
- 11:46Speaker 4: are ways to track it, so this could be interesting. Now.
- 11:49Speaker 4: Savannah Guthrie, of course, immediately flew out there to Tucson
- 11:54Speaker 4: and stayed with the relatives in their house. But apparently
- 11:57Speaker 4: reporters are all over the house. They're all over the
- 12:00Speaker 4: Nancy Guthrie house, They're all over the daughter's house and
- 12:04Speaker 4: the Guthrie's. Savannah and her family were all staying in
- 12:07Speaker 4: this one house, but it was surrounded by reporters, so
- 12:10Speaker 4: they have temporarily rented. Savannah Guthrie rented a one point
- 12:15Speaker 4: two million dollar mansion. This house is in a guarded gatehouse,
- 12:20Speaker 4: a gated community. Nobody can get in there, and it's
- 12:23Speaker 4: located in the community where you can't even see it
- 12:25Speaker 4: from the street. So it gives them some privacy, gives
- 12:28Speaker 4: them some distance from them and the news crews all
- 12:32Speaker 4: over the streets. We'll see what develops later today. What else, Hey,
- 12:37Speaker 4: Bruce Blakeman, who would be the best governor for New York?
- 12:39Speaker 4: Bruce Blakeman would be the perfect governor for New York.
- 12:42Speaker 4: He's a governor. Now, that's what a county executive is
- 12:45Speaker 4: in Nassau County, best run, safest county in America. So
- 12:50Speaker 4: he has to pick a running mate, and he just did.
- 12:53Speaker 4: He picked a running mate yesterday. They're having the convention
- 12:56Speaker 4: right now. But he's picked Madison County Sheriff Hood twenty
- 13:02Speaker 4: two years in the Syracuse Police Department, Blakeman courses from
- 13:05Speaker 4: around here. You want the other half of the ticket
- 13:08Speaker 4: to be an upstate guy. Hood a great resume. Father
- 13:12Speaker 4: of Ie serves as vice president of the New York
- 13:15Speaker 4: State Sheriff's Association, chairman of the National Sheriff's Association. So
- 13:21Speaker 4: now tomorrow's the nomination, the actual nomination. They have a
- 13:24Speaker 4: convention for like three days. It's a Republican convention every year.
- 13:28Speaker 4: This is like the state Republican Convention being held in
- 13:32Speaker 4: Garden City. They're all at the Garden City Hotel right now.
- 13:36Speaker 4: Garden City's a beautiful place, beautiful one of the nicest
- 13:39Speaker 4: towns in Long Island. All kinds of stuff opening there lately.
- 13:42Speaker 4: There's a new I of our own supermarket. There's a
- 13:45Speaker 4: Tony's Tacos, which is all over Long Island, just open there.
- 13:48Speaker 4: But tomorrow they'll nominate Blakeman at about this time tomorrow,
- 13:53Speaker 4: and then they got some other races. They're going to
- 13:55Speaker 4: nominate Joseph Fernandez, candidate for state Controller. And then oh,
- 14:01Speaker 4: the GOP candidate. There's going to be a Republican candidate
- 14:05Speaker 4: to take on Letitia James, the sleazy, awful Attorney general.
- 14:09Speaker 4: So this will be former federal prosecutor Saritha. Oh good, well,
- 14:14Speaker 4: you're gonna have a little trouble pronouncing this last name.
- 14:16Speaker 4: Comma to Reddy. I think it is all right, I said,
- 14:20Speaker 4: But she's she's trying to get to see there's a
- 14:24Speaker 4: little battle there between two GOP. But you want to
- 14:27Speaker 4: get riddle Letitia James this year, that would be a great,
- 14:31Speaker 4: great thing to do. Hey, Cardinal Dolan has left Saint Patrick's.
- 14:36Speaker 4: But you know he's got an apartment now in New
- 14:38Speaker 4: York City. It's in a parish in murray Hill, but
- 14:42Speaker 4: it's a very nice apartment. He'll be living there. He's
- 14:44Speaker 4: not leaving New York. He'll be living here and he's
- 14:47Speaker 4: gonna take various jobs. One was announced yesterday he will
- 14:51Speaker 4: be the NYPD chaplain. There are a couple of them,
- 14:54Speaker 4: but he'll be I guess the head chaplain. The NYPD
- 14:56Speaker 4: chaplain is a great job taking care of our are
- 15:00Speaker 4: men and women in law enforcement. That's one thing he'll
- 15:02Speaker 4: be doing. He'll be uh in this parish where they
- 15:04Speaker 4: gave him a beautiful apartment. He'll be holding services there
- 15:08Speaker 4: and apparently other parishes. So you'll be able to on
- 15:12Speaker 4: a Sunday go see Cardinal Dolan. That's great news. Ronald Hicks,
- 15:17Speaker 4: who took over, had his installation on Friday, first time ever.
- 15:23Speaker 4: The mayor didn't show up. That's mom, Donnie. He didn't
- 15:27Speaker 4: show up. But you know he's I wouldn't think he's
- 15:29Speaker 4: too religious a guy, I don't know. He's a socialist,
- 15:32Speaker 4: as he loves to say.
- 15:33Speaker 1: I was elected as a democratic socialist, and I will
- 15:36Speaker 1: govern as a democratic socialist. I will not abandon my
- 15:47Speaker 1: principles for fear of being deemed radical.
- 15:50Speaker 3: Well, that's great, you're socialist. Fortunately, got you picked the
- 15:53Speaker 3: wrong city. You get elected. This is the capitalism capital
- 15:56Speaker 3: of the world. It's like, if you hate cars, you
- 15:59Speaker 3: want to ban cars, you can't be.
- 16:02Speaker 4: The mayor of Detroit. It doesn't make any sense. So
- 16:04Speaker 4: this is the Wall Street is our main industry, capitalism, finance,
- 16:08Speaker 4: and he is he a socialist? Well, they asked Bill Maher.
- 16:11Speaker 7: Democrats seem to be having this debate whether or not
- 16:14Speaker 7: mayor Mom Donnie is a socialist or a democratic socialist.
- 16:18Speaker 7: Let me settle it. He's a straight up communist. How
- 16:22Speaker 7: do I know this? Well, I'm reading between the lines
- 16:26Speaker 7: when one of his major advisors says, elect more communists,
- 16:34Speaker 7: which is fine, it's fine. It's a belief system. He's
- 16:38Speaker 7: allowed to believe it, and people are allowed to vote
- 16:41Speaker 7: for it. But if liberals deny it, like he's just
- 16:44Speaker 7: going through a goth phase, they're going to lose more elections.
- 16:49Speaker 7: This is not a communist country.
- 16:51Speaker 4: No, And how do you get a mom Donnie, Well,
- 16:55Speaker 4: you send a couple of generations to woke, left wing
- 16:59Speaker 4: crazy college. All of our university's colleges are now in
- 17:02Speaker 4: doctrination centers and they come out thinking like Mom Donnie.
- 17:06Speaker 4: And after about twenty years of that stuff, you get
- 17:08Speaker 4: enough to vote in a mayor like that. Hey, we'll
- 17:11Speaker 4: take some calls. Next. Eight hundred three two one zero
- 17:15Speaker 4: seven ten is the number. Eight hundred three two one
- 17:19Speaker 4: zero seven, ten,
