- 0:09SPEAKER_01: Hi, welcome to this episode of Sassin's Sips.
- 0:14SPEAKER_01: Today we are going to talk about Good Girls Season 1, Episode 3, Borderline.
- 0:22SPEAKER_01: I am Lisa and I'm sipping on a little bit of the white wine today.
- 0:28SPEAKER_02: Ooh, Banza, Mansa.
- 0:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it was in my fridge.
- 0:32SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna kill the bottle.
- 0:34SPEAKER_02: I if you're gonna do anything responsible, that's what you should do.
- 0:39SPEAKER_01: I'm conserving water.
- 0:42SPEAKER_01: You know, because then I don't have to wash the glass.
- 0:44SPEAKER_02: Nice.
- 0:46SPEAKER_01: So really I'm doing my part for Mother Earth.
- 0:48SPEAKER_02: I appreciate that.
- 0:51SPEAKER_02: I co-sign that.
- 0:53SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 0:53SPEAKER_02: And I'm your co-host, Agnes.
- 0:56SPEAKER_02: And I'm drinking espresso martini in my martini glass.
- 1:01SPEAKER_02: It's so fucking good.
- 1:03SPEAKER_01: It looks so pretty.
- 1:04SPEAKER_01: Thank you, Aldi's.
- 1:06SPEAKER_01: I wish Alex was home so he could make me one.
- 1:08SPEAKER_01: He's he's the bartender in the house.
- 1:10SPEAKER_01: I don't really know.
- 1:11SPEAKER_02: Waiting for um my platonic husband to make me one.
- 1:15SPEAKER_02: Uh, you know.
- 1:16SPEAKER_01: About the most I'll do is like a margarita, because I mean who can say no to margaritas?
- 1:23SPEAKER_02: Absolutely.
- 1:24SPEAKER_01: Anything else is like, yeah, no, I'm good.
- 1:27SPEAKER_02: So listening, reading the title of this episode, I keep playing Madonna in my head.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: Okay, good.
- 1:40SPEAKER_02: It has nothing to do with Madonna, but at the same time, you can't.
- 1:44SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 1:45SPEAKER_01: This is not the only psycho.
- 1:47SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no, no, no.
- 1:48SPEAKER_01: I mean, I think that's what happened when you were raised in the 80s.
- 1:53SPEAKER_02: Um, yeah, the best generation.
- 1:56SPEAKER_01: So, before Yes, I need to know why I am in trouble.
- 2:01SPEAKER_01: Oh, no, no, no.
- 2:02SPEAKER_01: First, I'm gonna make you wait.
- 2:06SPEAKER_02: End of the episode, Agnes quits.
- 2:08SPEAKER_01: No, no, no.
- 2:08SPEAKER_01: No, I'm not, okay.
- 2:10SPEAKER_02: Because I you're not gonna make me wait.
- 2:12SPEAKER_02: First, okay.
- 2:14SPEAKER_01: I'm just gonna I wanna talk about something on social media first.
- 2:18SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay.
- 2:19SPEAKER_01: I know you helped me with the socials, but I don't know.
- 2:22SPEAKER_01: Did you notice on one of the accounts we got a new follower?
- 2:29SPEAKER_01: Which is great, awesome, thank you, welcome.
- 2:32SPEAKER_01: However, I was curious because the account name, it's not like random letters, numbers kind of thing, but it was close enough to some to a name that I was thinking of that I was like, oh, is that I don't want to say a name, but I think like, okay.
- 2:53SPEAKER_01: So I went to the account to look to see if I knew the person.
- 2:59SPEAKER_01: And it it's it's clearly a brand new account.
- 3:03SPEAKER_01: This account has zero followers, zero posts, and it only follows one account.
- 3:12SPEAKER_01: And considering that I just said that they followed us, I think you see where I'm going with this.
- 3:18SPEAKER_02: Right, because a spam account will follow as many public accounts and even unpublic accounts as possible.
- 3:29SPEAKER_01: Because I I consider that also, like, oh, is this a spam account?
- 3:32SPEAKER_01: Because there was no picture in the profile.
- 3:34SPEAKER_01: Um, but it's been days.
- 3:39SPEAKER_01: And and everything is still the same.
- 3:42SPEAKER_01: Zero posts, zero followers, and only one account they are following.
- 3:49SPEAKER_02: So yeah.
- 3:51SPEAKER_01: Um so I am having a great old time in my head going through every weird conspiracy of like, what the fuck?
- 4:00SPEAKER_02: Uh we all know Lisa is a master conspiracy theorist.
- 4:04SPEAKER_01: Oh, I I love the red strings.
- 4:05SPEAKER_01: I love them.
- 4:06SPEAKER_02: She makes restrings where there is no rest ring.
- 4:09SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
- 4:09SPEAKER_01: I mean, because I ha somebody has to entertain me.
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: So she entertains herself.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: She plays with herself.
- 4:16SPEAKER_01: What do you want?
- 4:17SPEAKER_01: Like, you weren't allowed to say you were bored.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: Heaven forbid.
- 4:21SPEAKER_01: You entertained yourself whichever way you could.
- 4:25SPEAKER_01: I spent a lot of time alone as a child.
- 4:28SPEAKER_02: In your head, obviously.
- 4:29SPEAKER_01: In my room, in my head, making up shit.
- 4:31SPEAKER_01: Like, I didn't even have a fucking TV in my room.
- 4:33SPEAKER_01: So I had a radio.
- 4:35SPEAKER_01: Whatever.
- 4:36SPEAKER_01: Anyway, I mentioned this on air because I.
- 4:43SPEAKER_01: Well, it was weird.
- 4:44SPEAKER_01: It was a weird random voice audio call from an unknown number.
- 4:48SPEAKER_01: It's a spare machine.
- 4:50SPEAKER_01: Comment for me.
- 4:55SPEAKER_01: Oh shit.
- 4:55SPEAKER_01: Am I being bugged?
- 4:57SPEAKER_01: Fuck.
- 4:58SPEAKER_01: That's it.
- 4:59SPEAKER_01: If I'm not here next week, I've landed in El Salvador.
- 5:03SPEAKER_01: Um, but I want to hear your crazy theories.
- 5:09SPEAKER_01: Like, have you ever had something like that happen?
- 5:12SPEAKER_01: And and and what do you think it could be?
- 5:14SPEAKER_01: What, you know, like just have fun with it.
- 5:17SPEAKER_01: Give me your crazy theories.
- 5:19SPEAKER_02: Um, I think Lisa's being stalked, but so poorly they don't know how to stalk her correctly.
- 5:27SPEAKER_01: Worst stalker ever.
- 5:30SPEAKER_02: Or it could be one of my many dates that have ghosted me in my life.
- 5:37SPEAKER_02: Because let me tell you, that could fill up a warehouse.
- 5:44SPEAKER_02: Um stalking me via social media.
- 5:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it just it wouldn't even be so weird if they just, you know, followed a bunch of random accounts.
- 5:54SPEAKER_01: But the weird thing is like it's been days.
- 5:57SPEAKER_01: We are it's that's weird.
- 5:59SPEAKER_01: The only person that they followed.
- 6:02SPEAKER_01: And why?
- 6:04SPEAKER_01: Like just how did you find our out of all the accounts in the internet, how did you find ours?
- 6:12SPEAKER_02: And it only follow us.
- 6:15SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 6:16SPEAKER_02: Not like they had one random and then it just started following everybody.
- 6:20SPEAKER_02: It was I don't know.
- 6:23SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 6:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I don't know either, but all right.
- 6:28SPEAKER_00: May this have a disclaimer.
- 6:30SPEAKER_00: Uh uh-huh.
- 6:32SPEAKER_00: If either one of us being stalked, send food.
- 6:38SPEAKER_01: Oh, I was gonna I can't say could you just let us know?
- 6:40SPEAKER_02: No, send us like send foods, send money for bills, be useful stalker.
- 6:47SPEAKER_01: I'm I'm gonna see your send stuff and raise you sassinsips.com for all the ways you can support the show because I don't want to give out my address.
- 6:59SPEAKER_02: Well, you can send us via Patreon.
- 7:02SPEAKER_02: Okay, yes, yes.
- 7:03SPEAKER_02: And then send food in my via Patreon.
- 7:05SPEAKER_01: Yes, yes, I I support that message.
- 7:07SPEAKER_02: Yes, buy us a coffee for 10 years straight.
- 7:10SPEAKER_01: Um yes, which we will turn into food and wine, clearly.
- 7:15SPEAKER_02: And yeah, absolutely.
- 7:16SPEAKER_02: Um, I'm not waiting any longer.
- 7:21SPEAKER_02: So earlier today, my wonderful co-host, hear the sarcasm.
- 7:26SPEAKER_01: I I was just about to tell you anyway.
- 7:28SPEAKER_02: But go ahead.
- 7:29SPEAKER_02: They need to know my pain.
- 7:32SPEAKER_02: So she has a bone to pick with me.
- 7:34SPEAKER_02: She would not tell me what that bone was.
- 7:36SPEAKER_02: Y'all she said it had to do with the show.
- 7:39SPEAKER_02: And then when we get online, I'll make you wait.
- 7:43SPEAKER_02: Ew.
- 7:45SPEAKER_01: You want me to make you wait till the end of the episode?
- 7:47SPEAKER_02: I would just I would vlog off of Zoom.
- 7:54SPEAKER_00: Okay, tell me.
- 7:55SPEAKER_01: All right, so in the first episode, when so here's here's what happened.
- 8:02SPEAKER_01: We recorded the first episode.
- 8:04SPEAKER_01: You're so much Oh, see what happened was we recorded the first episode, I edited the first episode, we recorded the second episode, I edited the second episode.
- 8:13SPEAKER_01: But then right after I finished editing the second episode, I was doing the video for the first one because we did video for that one.
- 8:22SPEAKER_01: And that's where I was like, wait a minute.
- 8:26SPEAKER_01: I like I caught something.
- 8:29SPEAKER_01: And so here's what I caught in the first episode, we were talking about the fact that the women were caught by Boomer.
- 8:46SPEAKER_01: Boomer was trying to extract quote favors from Annie because he figured out that she did the robbery.
- 8:55SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 8:56SPEAKER_01: And then by the end of the episode, we were like, um like uh Rio and his gang had already come to the house, so they already knew like the ladies already knew that he like Rio was involved.
- 9:14SPEAKER_01: So then, like, why does she open the door for Boomer?
- 9:16SPEAKER_01: Why did she keep going?
- 9:18SPEAKER_01: And then in the second episode, I was like, but why would Boomer know?
- 9:24SPEAKER_01: Because Boomer's a fucking moron.
- 9:26SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
- 9:29SPEAKER_01: But then in the first episode, you're like, but Boomer's afraid of Rio.
- 9:33SPEAKER_01: See, that's a spoiler.
- 9:37SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 9:38SPEAKER_01: And and then because then I was thinking, that got me thinking, this fucking bitch spoiled something for me.
- 9:45SPEAKER_01: Because here I am thinking, hold on, hold on.
- 9:48SPEAKER_01: Because maybe you didn't, but in my head you did, because I'm like, we never discussed we well, we never saw anything between Boomer and Rio.
- 10:01SPEAKER_01: Now, in my head, I would think Boomer has no fucking clue as to what's going on because Boomer is a moron.
- 10:12SPEAKER_01: But then I was like, okay, but she said that he is afraid of Rio, which would make sense because then how does Rio know it's the ladies unless somebody told him?
- 10:26SPEAKER_01: So then it goes back to Boomer.
- 10:29SPEAKER_01: So you see where my train was going.
- 10:31SPEAKER_01: And then I was like, fuck.
- 10:33SPEAKER_00: Okay, I have a question for you.
- 10:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah, go ahead.
- 10:37SPEAKER_00: Did Boomer really tell him?
- 10:39SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 10:41SPEAKER_01: But I think that you said it without realizing that you said it.
- 10:45SPEAKER_01: So you don't have to confirm.
- 10:47SPEAKER_01: You can neither confirm nor deny.
- 10:49SPEAKER_01: That's fine.
- 10:50SPEAKER_01: But that's what I caught.
- 10:52SPEAKER_02: But did you catch something?
- 10:53SPEAKER_02: Did you really catch something?
- 10:54SPEAKER_02: I caught something.
- 10:55SPEAKER_01: Or did you wait?
- 10:57SPEAKER_01: Saying that Boomer was scared of real and all we sorry, it's whining time at the zoo.
- 11:08SPEAKER_02: Okay, did you catch something?
- 11:10SPEAKER_02: Did I spoil something?
- 11:12SPEAKER_02: Or just Agnes just disremember shit?
- 11:15SPEAKER_02: And she's just going by the case.
- 11:16SPEAKER_02: You know what?
- 11:17SPEAKER_01: Don't put an MS card on me.
- 11:19SPEAKER_02: It could be either or.
- 11:20SPEAKER_02: It really could it could be just it's just supposition, like uh because it's just like, hello.
- 11:28SPEAKER_01: So it makes sense.
- 11:30SPEAKER_01: It it would make sense that Boomer is the connection between how did Rio know that it was.
- 11:39SPEAKER_01: Although the part that still doesn't make sense is that he knew it was Annie, but how would he know who she was with?
- 11:48SPEAKER_01: Unless it's just like, well, that has to be her sister because she has no friends.
- 11:52SPEAKER_01: Because it showed up at Beth's house.
- 11:56SPEAKER_01: He's just staring at me.
- 11:57SPEAKER_01: I don't like that.
- 12:01SPEAKER_01: But then the part that still doesn't make sense to me is that how like if that was the case, if Boomer was like, uh, I lost your money, I feel like there would still be repercussions on Boomer from Rio.
- 12:24SPEAKER_01: Like Rio's not gonna just be like, all right, no problem.
- 12:28SPEAKER_01: They robbed all, you know, it's still like, well, what the fuck are you gonna do about it?
- 12:34unknown: I don't know.
- 12:35SPEAKER_02: It could be like you said before, he's just stupid.
- 12:37SPEAKER_02: He's like the best person to have in place.
- 12:39SPEAKER_01: All right, I hate you.
- 12:39SPEAKER_01: Can we talk about this episode?
- 12:44SPEAKER_02: I am so glad you hate me right now.
- 12:48SPEAKER_02: A little taste of Agnes a la lost.
- 12:55SPEAKER_01: And I know I deserve it, but that's besides the point.
- 12:58SPEAKER_01: The best ending to my day.
- 13:00SPEAKER_01: Because I got this.
- 13:05SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 13:06SPEAKER_00: Okay, so just sorry, this is just amazing.
- 13:09SPEAKER_00: Wait, take another sip of my espresso.
- 13:12SPEAKER_02: Okay, fine, I'll take a sip too.
- 13:14SPEAKER_00: This was really good.
- 13:16SPEAKER_02: Did I say did I add that I added salted caramel mocha like coffee syrup?
- 13:22SPEAKER_02: You know, like the sauce that you get in store.
- 13:24SPEAKER_02: I added it to the bottom of my martini glass.
- 13:28SPEAKER_02: So it's like extra sweet now.
- 13:30SPEAKER_02: I think my tooth hurts.
- 13:32SPEAKER_02: And it's very strong.
- 13:34SPEAKER_02: Actually, I didn't put a lot.
- 13:35SPEAKER_02: I just put like a like a cute little poop-poop, little drizzle, but it's strong as fuck.
- 13:40SPEAKER_02: Like, they don't play apparently not at all.
- 13:43SPEAKER_02: I had two sips.
- 13:46SPEAKER_01: So I could more spoilers?
- 13:48SPEAKER_01: No, I don't like spoilers.
- 13:49SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 13:50SPEAKER_02: Two sips, and I'm like, I just want to get you fucked up.
- 13:54SPEAKER_01: Just like every man in my life.
- 13:56SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but except I'm like a thousand miles away.
- 13:58SPEAKER_01: So what good does that do either of us?
- 14:00SPEAKER_02: Honestly, funny story.
- 14:04SPEAKER_02: I was out with a friend.
- 14:06SPEAKER_02: My God, this is pre-motherhood, right?
- 14:09SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
- 14:09SPEAKER_02: And we're at this bar and we're just chilling.
- 14:14SPEAKER_02: Like we went to the movies and we went to this uh spot just to have some drinks to mind our own fucking business.
- 14:20SPEAKER_02: And some guys, this is back when Don P was everybody was buying in Don P, you know.
- 14:26SPEAKER_02: And they're like, hey, do you guys want a glass?
- 14:28SPEAKER_02: So, because they had bought a whole bottle.
- 14:30SPEAKER_02: So they pour us the glass and we're drinking it.
- 14:32SPEAKER_01: This is in New York?
- 14:33SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 14:34SPEAKER_02: I remember the bar too, but I'm not gonna say it online.
- 14:36SPEAKER_02: I'm not gonna say it on air because I would never go back there.
- 14:39SPEAKER_02: Um is it the No, not okay, not two bottles later, they had none.
- 14:48SPEAKER_02: We drank it all because they kept pouring our glasses.
- 14:53SPEAKER_02: They were pissed that we weren't drunk yet.
- 14:56SPEAKER_02: Because at this time, like I said, pre-motherhood, all I did was go to work and go out.
- 15:02SPEAKER_02: No.
- 15:03SPEAKER_02: So I'm like, you know what?
- 15:05SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna use a bathroom, then we're out of here.
- 15:08SPEAKER_02: Because they were just like, oh-da-da, you just want to spend money.
- 15:10SPEAKER_02: Like, you kept pouring.
- 15:12SPEAKER_02: It's kind of that kind of shit.
- 15:14SPEAKER_02: I get back from the bathroom, and she's in his face, like, I don't give a fuck how much money you make.
- 15:20SPEAKER_02: I will, it would just, I'm like, okay, now we go.
- 15:23SPEAKER_02: But point being, I forgot the point.
- 15:31SPEAKER_01: Something about getting you drunk and not taking advantage of it.
- 15:34SPEAKER_02: And then that was that's what it was.
- 15:36SPEAKER_02: So they got mad because we weren't getting drunk, so they can take advantage of us.
- 15:41SPEAKER_02: And by the way, I'm back in my fighting weight as far as like drinking.
- 15:48SPEAKER_02: I will be taking advantage of all youngins.
- 15:50SPEAKER_02: Okay, let me stop.
- 15:51SPEAKER_02: Beth breaks the news to Annie and Ruby that Rio wants them to go to Canada to pick something up.
- 15:57SPEAKER_02: But he wouldn't elaborate on what the mystery package is.
- 16:01SPEAKER_02: Drugs.
- 16:02SPEAKER_02: Oh my ass.
- 16:04SPEAKER_02: With the full gesture, gesture.
- 16:06SPEAKER_02: This was funny.
- 16:08SPEAKER_02: You have to like watch the episode here because this is like the two fingers and just up the ass.
- 16:13SPEAKER_02: And I got a I got the full visual.
- 16:15SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 16:16SPEAKER_01: And she was like, well, she was some something like, oh, it's better than swallowing it.
- 16:20SPEAKER_01: And then like, well, but it it might not be drugs.
- 16:22SPEAKER_01: And she's like, well, what else could it be?
- 16:23SPEAKER_01: Guns?
- 16:28SPEAKER_00: Still talking about the guns in their ass.
- 16:31SPEAKER_00: Sorry, go ahead.
- 17:00SPEAKER_00: Sorry.
- 17:01SPEAKER_00: Um, I have to skip over my notes.
- 17:04SPEAKER_02: Um, why?
- 17:06SPEAKER_02: No, because I had put some of that in there, so I I gotta move down a paragraph or two.
- 17:12SPEAKER_02: So Beth tells them that Rio wants it done on Friday, which doesn't work for Annie because her home visit, if her custody case, is on Friday.
- 17:20SPEAKER_02: She goes, it's fine.
- 17:21SPEAKER_02: I'll make it work.
- 17:23SPEAKER_02: I just have to clean out all the drawers up in my cavity.
- 17:28SPEAKER_02: Because first she said, No, I can't do it.
- 17:30SPEAKER_02: Ruby goes, Go ahead, you go tell the man with the gun and the tattoos that you it doesn't work for you.
- 17:35SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 17:36SPEAKER_02: I would tell him that just to see what he would do to me.
- 17:39SPEAKER_02: That's just me.
- 17:41SPEAKER_02: I love him.
- 17:42SPEAKER_01: Oh, we're gonna get there.
- 17:43SPEAKER_02: Oh, we oh, we get there.
- 17:47SPEAKER_02: Beth offers that it could be something other than drugs.
- 17:52SPEAKER_02: And then she goes, perhaps guns.
- 17:56SPEAKER_02: Ruby goes, how is that better?
- 17:58SPEAKER_02: And he goes, We'll fit up your ass.
- 18:05SPEAKER_02: Probably.
- 18:06SPEAKER_02: I mean, I don't know.
- 18:07SPEAKER_02: A derringer.
- 18:08SPEAKER_02: But a derringer has no safety, so I wouldn't recommend that.
- 18:12SPEAKER_02: And can we talk about gun safety later on?
- 18:14SPEAKER_02: I have a lot of gun safety things.
- 18:15SPEAKER_02: I'm like, this is gonna yell at me because I have like safety with the guns.
- 18:19SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 18:20SPEAKER_01: This is a pet peeve of yours.
- 18:21SPEAKER_01: Every time somebody has a gun in the show, you're like, well, let me tell you what they didn't do right.
- 18:26unknown: All right.
- 18:28SPEAKER_02: But as you can see, because she didn't do something right, look what happened.
- 18:32SPEAKER_01: I okay.
- 18:35SPEAKER_02: Regardless of whether the mystery package involves drugs or firearms, Beth brings the bottom line home.
- 18:42SPEAKER_02: They pull this off, Rio's done with them.
- 18:45SPEAKER_02: It's over, kaput, no more drama.
- 18:48SPEAKER_02: But the big picture is how?
- 18:52SPEAKER_02: Annie has a boot on her car.
- 18:54SPEAKER_02: And then she goes, how many tickets?
- 18:55SPEAKER_02: Beth goes, how many tickets do you have?
- 18:58SPEAKER_02: She goes, Well, I have six.
- 18:59SPEAKER_02: Beth is like, okay, I guess that's it then.
- 19:01SPEAKER_02: That's the magic number.
- 19:02SPEAKER_02: That's the magic number.
- 19:05SPEAKER_02: Ruby, well, obviously Stan needs to call for the kids.
- 19:08SPEAKER_02: And Beth doesn't want drug residue in her car with her kids.
- 19:12SPEAKER_02: And I don't blame her.
- 19:13SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I don't blame her.
- 19:16SPEAKER_01: Okay, I don't know if you want me to insert this here when they're talking about like how they're gonna like they start singing the jingle.
- 19:23SPEAKER_01: And then they're like, where are we gonna get a car?
- 19:25SPEAKER_01: And then Ruby and Annie start singing the jingle for the car dealership.
- 19:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 19:30SPEAKER_01: What I don't understand though is that if her husband owns this dealership and she's kind of rocking the power in the relationship right now, because you know he wants, he's kind of like wanting her back and like whatever.
- 19:51SPEAKER_01: Why couldn't she just tell him?
- 19:55SPEAKER_02: I think it's because they want to forget that this ever happened.
- 20:00SPEAKER_02: They want this one and done, call it a day, and move on with their lives.
- 20:03SPEAKER_02: So why tell them if there's never gonna be an issue again?
- 20:07SPEAKER_02: Why tell the dumbass that mortgaged their home three times?
- 20:12SPEAKER_02: Okay, who can't sell a fucking car about this situation.
- 20:18SPEAKER_02: You know what I mean?
- 20:19SPEAKER_01: Well, I don't I don't necessarily mean for her to be like, so by the way, we have to go into Canada and smuggle something, possibly guns up our asses.
- 20:28SPEAKER_01: But just say, listen, I'm just gonna need to borrow a different car for 20 minutes.
- 20:37SPEAKER_02: I mean, that's just once again, too many people knowing something is never.
- 20:41SPEAKER_01: Well, only he had to, no?
- 20:43SPEAKER_02: I mean But once again, he's a dumbass.
- 20:45SPEAKER_02: Well, all right.
- 20:46SPEAKER_02: So you got me there.
- 20:48SPEAKER_02: Like you would like you just don't want any too many people.
- 20:51SPEAKER_02: Something's about to get out.
- 20:53SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 20:54SPEAKER_02: So prepping for this situation, Annie tells Sadie, you know, I have to be away Friday, I'd be back for the for the visit.
- 21:05SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 21:05SPEAKER_01: They have a home visit.
- 21:07SPEAKER_02: Beth is this is Beth's moment when she's like, give this man 20-something years, and who am I now?
- 21:16SPEAKER_02: And I think a lot of wives, mothers, whether they're married or not, go what women as a whole go through this because they give their lives up for whatever reason.
- 21:27SPEAKER_02: They give it up to work, they give it up to their husband or their kids, or a combination of three, and then you realize, who am I?
- 21:34SPEAKER_02: So she has her aha moments.
- 21:36SPEAKER_02: She's like, I just don't have she's relinquished her power for X amount of years, what 20 years.
- 21:42SPEAKER_02: And now she's just like, okay, this is where I'm at now.
- 21:48SPEAKER_02: Then the next scene you see um Stan and Ruby in church.
- 21:52SPEAKER_02: And Stan's such a sweet guy.
- 21:54SPEAKER_02: And he's thank he wants to stand up and thank the congregation or the person who donated the money for Sarah's medicine.
- 22:02SPEAKER_02: Who stands up for some I can't think some skeiser.
- 22:08SPEAKER_02: If you know, you know.
- 22:10SPEAKER_01: I I just in my notes I have her written down as church bitch.
- 22:13SPEAKER_02: Church bitch.
- 22:14SPEAKER_02: Can we just can we combine the two?
- 22:16SPEAKER_02: Church skeiser?
- 22:17SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 22:18SPEAKER_02: Her name is Sheila.
- 22:19SPEAKER_01: Oh, right, Sheila.
- 22:21SPEAKER_01: Oh, Sheila.
- 22:22SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 22:23SPEAKER_01: I didn't think that she
- 22:25SPEAKER_02: And she takes credit for it.
- 22:27SPEAKER_02: And Ruby's like, oh hell no.
- 22:29SPEAKER_02: She can't say anything because yeah, yeah.
- 22:32SPEAKER_01: She's but she gets her, she gets her revenge later.
- 22:36SPEAKER_02: I that was pretty good.
- 22:37SPEAKER_01: That was fucking brilliant.
- 22:39SPEAKER_02: Beautiful.
- 22:41SPEAKER_02: She goes, so she lets Dan have it when they get home.
- 22:45SPEAKER_02: He goes, She goes, You're just gonna hug her.
- 22:47SPEAKER_02: He goes, She gave us$10,000.
- 22:49SPEAKER_02: She goes, What was she gonna get for$20,000?
- 22:52SPEAKER_02: Is she not wrong though?
- 22:54SPEAKER_02: No, she's not because that hug was a little bit too much.
- 22:56SPEAKER_02: That hug was way too much.
- 22:58SPEAKER_02: And knowing like the backstory that this little skeezer has been aiming for her husband since high school brings it to a whole new level of, I will fuck you up where you stand.
- 23:08SPEAKER_01: It's been 20 years.
- 23:10SPEAKER_01: Like, haven't you found anything else to do?
- 23:12SPEAKER_01: Anyone else to do in the meantime?
- 23:14SPEAKER_01: Like, what's what are you doing with your life?
- 23:17SPEAKER_02: She's one of those that peaked in high school.
- 23:19SPEAKER_02: And she goes back to the guy that gave her attention that she would never give attention to.
- 23:25SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 23:26SPEAKER_02: Because this, yeah.
- 23:28SPEAKER_02: And he asked for a Friday off, taking a personal day.
- 23:32SPEAKER_00: Boomers being boomer.
- 23:34SPEAKER_01: Boomer is boomerang.
- 23:36SPEAKER_02: Boomer, boomer is boomering.
- 23:40SPEAKER_02: So in front of other customers.
- 23:41SPEAKER_02: She goes, Yeah, how was your weekend?
- 23:44SPEAKER_02: Camping.
- 23:46SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 23:46SPEAKER_02: You read pictures?
- 23:48SPEAKER_02: Oh, what about the pictures at my daughter?
- 23:52SPEAKER_02: Thanks for Friday off.
- 23:54SPEAKER_02: Uh-huh.
- 23:55SPEAKER_02: I don't know why Boomer even tries.
- 23:57SPEAKER_02: I Boomer really.
- 23:59SPEAKER_02: This is why Boomer's dumb.
- 24:00SPEAKER_02: Because anyone else would just keep the head low and keep it and just keep it.
- 24:04SPEAKER_01: And that's why I'm like so like now.
- 24:07SPEAKER_01: Because I was so fucking sure that he was just a casual moron in this whole thing.
- 24:15SPEAKER_01: But your words and then the thought of like, okay, but then even though he's an idiot, and even if you're just talking out of your ass, how did the connection get made from them to Rio when we know Boomer knew?
- 24:33SPEAKER_01: And stop stop blinking at me.
- 24:36SPEAKER_02: My eyelashes are falling off.
- 24:38SPEAKER_01: The eyelashes are very pretty.
- 24:39SPEAKER_01: Stop blinking.
- 24:43SPEAKER_02: So he asks, he asks her, so what are you gonna do?
- 24:46SPEAKER_02: Hit up a bank?
- 24:49SPEAKER_02: He goes, Oceans?
- 24:52SPEAKER_02: What did he say?
- 24:53SPEAKER_02: He said, the all-girl version of Ocean is 11.
- 24:56SPEAKER_02: It's gonna suck.
- 24:58SPEAKER_02: That didn't age well.
- 25:00SPEAKER_02: So a little information about Oceans 8, which was phenomenal.
- 25:04SPEAKER_02: I've seen that like 600 times.
- 25:06SPEAKER_02: Have you seen it?
- 25:07SPEAKER_02: I saw the first one.
- 25:08SPEAKER_02: I've seen all the oceans.
- 25:11SPEAKER_01: Great.
- 25:11SPEAKER_01: You want an award?
- 25:13SPEAKER_02: I do.
- 25:14SPEAKER_02: Best okay.
- 25:16SPEAKER_02: So Oceans 8 was was released June of 2018.
- 25:21SPEAKER_02: Good Girls first air February of 2018.
- 25:26SPEAKER_02: But filming wrapped up in January of 2018.
- 25:29SPEAKER_02: And then the first trailer for Oceans 8 was December 18th.
- 25:36SPEAKER_02: December 2018.
- 25:37SPEAKER_02: No, December 2017.
- 25:39SPEAKER_02: My bad.
- 25:40SPEAKER_02: So they were still filming Good Girls when the trailer came out.
- 25:44SPEAKER_02: So it all happened at the same time.
- 25:50SPEAKER_02: Or what happened?
- 25:52SPEAKER_02: But it was all kind of like everything, it was being known, it was talked about, it was being in the works while they were filming Good Girls.
- 25:59SPEAKER_02: I also have a little trivia at the end about this too.
- 26:02SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay.
- 26:03SPEAKER_02: That said, and I think I said in my notes, I said it takes a special type of stupid to keep fucking with Annie, knowing that she has that picture.
- 26:11SPEAKER_02: Like he's this really special type of stupid.
- 26:14SPEAKER_02: He has no so no sense of survival, no survival at all.
- 26:19SPEAKER_02: Like self-preservation, it does not exist with him.
- 26:22SPEAKER_02: I think even Amoeba have that sense of self-preservation.
- 26:26SPEAKER_02: Like even they attach to something.
- 26:28SPEAKER_02: You know what I parasites are smarter.
- 26:32SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 26:33SPEAKER_02: So he is dumber than a parasite.
- 26:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 26:36SPEAKER_02: So we already talked about how um they decide to get a car from the dealership.
- 26:43SPEAKER_01: Right, which makes sense.
- 26:45SPEAKER_01: It does.
- 26:46SPEAKER_01: And still a car.
- 26:47SPEAKER_01: My point was like be a little bit before they decided, Beth talked to Dean.
- 26:55SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 26:55SPEAKER_01: That's his name.
- 26:56SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 26:57SPEAKER_01: And she was saying that she was gonna transfer all the things into her account and and that's when she had her aha moment.
- 27:04SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 27:04SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 27:05SPEAKER_01: And he was like, Well, if credit was up to me, I'd give it to you.
- 27:08SPEAKER_01: But how are you gonna get credit?
- 27:10SPEAKER_01: Because basically, she hasn't had a job since like right after high school.
- 27:18SPEAKER_01: And it's like another way that women are penalized.
- 27:20SPEAKER_01: Like she stopped working to raise her family, which is work.
- 27:26SPEAKER_01: But b because you're not working out of the home, it's like you you think that I can't like I've I've kept humans alive for two decades.
- 27:36SPEAKER_01: Like you know what I mean?
- 27:38SPEAKER_01: Like, we want to have a place to live.
- 27:42SPEAKER_01: It's it's just like another fucking stupid way that we live in this country.
- 27:47SPEAKER_02: I still think like he was just stating the facts, but the his delivery was a little bit Yeah.
- 27:53SPEAKER_01: I don't think that he was meaning it to be hurtful.
- 27:56SPEAKER_01: I think that he was needing it like you're not gonna.
- 28:00SPEAKER_01: Nobody's gonna give you credit.
- 28:01SPEAKER_02: Because bad credit is better than no credit.
- 28:04SPEAKER_01: Sometimes.
- 28:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 28:05SPEAKER_01: But that's why I also I say that I feel like she I don't know.
- 28:12SPEAKER_01: Like, I understand what you're saying, and it does make sense to not involve another person.
- 28:16SPEAKER_01: But I feel like seeing the way he was just like, if it was up to me, I'd give you all the credit in the world.
- 28:21SPEAKER_01: Like, he so would have been like, Yeah, you can borrow a car.
- 28:25SPEAKER_01: But at the same time, even if you would have said, like, Annie's car has a boot on it, she has a home visit, like even if you just made up like a little fib, you know what I mean?
- 28:38SPEAKER_02: But that's fine.
- 28:39SPEAKER_02: Once again, her depending on him.
- 28:40SPEAKER_02: I think she's trying to get to the point where I'm not suing that.
- 28:44SPEAKER_01: I think that's an even better reason.
- 28:46SPEAKER_02: And he's stupid.
- 28:47SPEAKER_02: Um yeah.
- 28:48SPEAKER_02: Well, so let's just add this to their list.
- 28:51SPEAKER_02: They this grant that auto, robbery, kidnapping.
- 28:58SPEAKER_02: Like they are doing the damn thing.
- 29:02SPEAKER_01: I'm kind of proud of them.
- 29:03SPEAKER_01: Like, they're when they go, they go into the dealership, they're like, what kind of car should we get?
- 29:08SPEAKER_01: And they're they're like, you know, checking out all the cars.
- 29:10SPEAKER_01: They're like, oh, should we be stylish?
- 29:12SPEAKER_01: Should we be responsible?
- 29:14SPEAKER_01: Should we and then they start they start setting off all the fucking things?
- 29:17SPEAKER_02: All the alarms.
- 29:18SPEAKER_01: And then we see somebody.
- 29:20SPEAKER_02: That would happen to me.
- 29:22SPEAKER_02: The light, the alarms all go off.
- 29:23SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and we see, can I say it?
- 29:26SPEAKER_02: Yeah, boomer.
- 29:31SPEAKER_02: Why did you say it like that?
- 29:33SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 29:35SPEAKER_01: It just flew out of my mouth like that.
- 29:38SPEAKER_02: It's gonna stick with you, thank you.
- 29:39SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna stick with it.
- 29:40SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 29:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he's and even he's watching them from like across the street from his car, and even he's watching them with the car alarms going off.
- 29:48SPEAKER_01: Like, what the fuck?
- 29:49SPEAKER_01: Like, it's it's almost like he's looking at how stupid they are, which is ironic.
- 29:57SPEAKER_02: Even at their worst, it's still better than his best.
- 30:00SPEAKER_01: I know, I know.
- 30:01SPEAKER_02: I've seen like, oh my god, the Japanese beetles on my rose bushes have more.
- 30:10SPEAKER_02: I'm sorry.
- 30:12SPEAKER_02: Okay, so they're finally at the border of the Canadian border.
- 30:16SPEAKER_02: And to be honest, they're all sitting like they have drugs up their ass already.
- 30:21SPEAKER_02: I know.
- 30:23SPEAKER_02: I I would like to think if it was you or I we'll just like all right.
- 30:28SPEAKER_02: We'd be fine.
- 30:28SPEAKER_02: We'll be fine.
- 30:29SPEAKER_02: Especially on the way in.
- 30:30SPEAKER_02: Yeah, the end part is the easy part.
- 30:33SPEAKER_02: It's like, what the hell?
- 30:34SPEAKER_02: Why are we so stressed?
- 30:35SPEAKER_02: And then, like, we don't have anything.
- 30:37SPEAKER_02: And then here comes Ruby because I brought Stan's gun.
- 30:43SPEAKER_02: She goes, but it's not loaded.
- 30:45SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 30:45SPEAKER_02: And then in my head, I'm like, treat every weapon like a low, like a loaded weapon.
- 30:52SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 30:53SPEAKER_02: They get through.
- 30:54SPEAKER_02: Oh my God, I can't.
- 30:57SPEAKER_02: And they pull up to the dress because they have no idea what they're picking up.
- 31:01SPEAKER_02: They don't know what the address is, they just have an address.
- 31:03SPEAKER_02: They don't know what the address is too.
- 31:04SPEAKER_01: It's like, go to the address, talk to Mike, and he'll give you a package and then just drop it off at this address.
- 31:10SPEAKER_01: Like, I think that was the extent of the instruction.
- 31:13SPEAKER_02: Which honestly, that's all I would want to know.
- 31:14SPEAKER_02: I don't want to know details.
- 31:16SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 31:17SPEAKER_01: Because if I get caught, you know.
- 31:19SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 31:19SPEAKER_02: You can't slip if you don't know.
- 31:21SPEAKER_02: I have a question for you.
- 31:23SPEAKER_02: So Annie mentions um, she's like, not like with El Chapo in Guatemala.
- 31:30SPEAKER_02: And Beth is like, actually, he's in Mexico.
- 31:34SPEAKER_02: But I'm sure you've noticed thus far, Beth does a lot of correcting of Annie.
- 31:42SPEAKER_01: Even correcting of Annie.
- 31:45SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 31:46SPEAKER_02: Even when it really doesn't make a difference.
- 31:48SPEAKER_02: Like is there something you've noticed, and how do you feel about that?
- 31:53SPEAKER_02: Me type Ask asking the control freak.
- 31:56SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 31:58SPEAKER_01: I feel like this is a trick question, and I don't know why.
- 32:00SPEAKER_01: I don't know if I won't answer it.
- 32:02SPEAKER_02: It's not a trick question.
- 32:03SPEAKER_02: It really isn't.
- 32:04SPEAKER_02: It really isn't.
- 32:05SPEAKER_00: Because I know for me sometimes when you have that person that's always correcting you over stupid shit.
- 32:21SPEAKER_00: You're like go away.
- 32:25SPEAKER_02: And I know, and I think I feel like Annie being the younger sister kind of like the the fuck up.
- 32:30SPEAKER_02: I feel like sh it kind of goes hand in hand in my head.
- 32:34SPEAKER_02: Like, is she a fuck up because she's always being corrected?
- 32:36SPEAKER_02: Did I did the did the corrections contribute to her continue to be a fuck up?
- 32:42SPEAKER_02: She's like, fuck it, why bother trying?
- 32:45SPEAKER_01: I think that Beth appears as the put together perfect person, right?
- 32:56SPEAKER_01: Like you know, the house, the kids, the you know what I mean?
- 33:02SPEAKER_01: Like so I feel like this was probably her her whole life.
- 33:06SPEAKER_01: She probably got good grades, she probably excelled in everything that she put her mind to.
- 33:13SPEAKER_01: And I think that Annie was probably always in her shadow and Beth being the like I feel like Beth even micromanages herself.
- 33:29SPEAKER_01: So I think that it's just her nature to do that.
- 33:35SPEAKER_01: Annie probably is so used to it, like she might not even notice it anymore.
- 33:41SPEAKER_01: Or like it's just it's like uh yeah, it's a thing.
- 33:45SPEAKER_01: Um personally, I know that I've I do that sometimes, but I do that to people I like because I I don't want them like with wrong information.
- 34:01SPEAKER_01: And like if I know the answer, then I'm gonna tell you if you're wrong, just so that you're not telling the next person like El Chapel is in Guatemala.
- 34:12SPEAKER_01: The next person's gonna be like, What are you a moron?
- 34:14SPEAKER_01: You know what I mean.
- 34:16SPEAKER_01: And when people do it to me it depends.
- 34:23SPEAKER_01: Uh it like if I'm actually wrong and it matters then I I want to be corrected.
- 34:32SPEAKER_01: But like it feels the same when somebody like corrects you and you're just like that's totally not the point, but okay.
- 34:42SPEAKER_01: So it depends.
- 34:43SPEAKER_01: Like if I'm corrected on something that just completely has no relevance, like you know, it's not like I am saying misinformation, it's like I just misspoke or it tends to get annoying.
- 34:57SPEAKER_01: But why did you ask?
- 35:00SPEAKER_02: No, because I asked because you could edit this out or not.
- 35:05SPEAKER_02: Doing my notes, they make comp they make um, I think it was like that last episode, and they brought out the fact that Beth, I think they said like, but Beth once again corrects Annie.
- 35:22SPEAKER_02: Oh so it was like a mental note.
- 35:23SPEAKER_02: I'm like, oh, she does do she does that a lot, you know.
- 35:26SPEAKER_02: So that's why I'm like, okay, let me, I didn't do it for the last episode.
- 35:29SPEAKER_02: I'm like, okay, maybe just add it for this one.
- 35:32SPEAKER_02: Um, that's why.
- 35:34SPEAKER_02: Okay, I have to ask you a question.
- 35:35SPEAKER_02: Why ask why?
- 35:39SPEAKER_01: I was like, wait, do I do that?
- 35:40SPEAKER_01: Because if I do, I have to stop.
- 35:45SPEAKER_01: That's all.
- 35:47SPEAKER_00: No, it was just a note on the thing.
- 35:50SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 35:51SPEAKER_01: Now that you mention it.
- 35:55SPEAKER_02: I could let me see if I can make up something.
- 35:56SPEAKER_02: Never stop.
- 35:57SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 35:58SPEAKER_01: You hardly could, and I'd be like, oh my god, I'm sorry.
- 36:00SPEAKER_02: You know what?
- 36:01SPEAKER_02: I feel like everything I'm asking you for like it's a personal attack, and I don't know what's okay.
- 36:07SPEAKER_02: I think you're just relay to this show and you're loving it.
- 36:11SPEAKER_02: And I got the hands.
- 36:13SPEAKER_02: I think it's a good show.
- 36:15SPEAKER_01: I I don't know how you got any of that from the fact that I said that if I knit my head, oh, okay.
- 36:22SPEAKER_02: It's Agnes logic.
- 36:23SPEAKER_02: Hello.
- 36:24SPEAKER_02: All right, you've known me long enough.
- 36:27SPEAKER_02: So the ladies pull up to Cascade Canadian Craft Store, and they have the ultimate what the fuck face.
- 36:36SPEAKER_00: I love it.
- 36:36SPEAKER_00: I love it.
- 36:37SPEAKER_02: Which is fair.
- 36:38unknown: Okay.
- 36:39SPEAKER_02: So Beth goes in to get the package from Mike.
- 36:42SPEAKER_01: Wait, wait.
- 36:42SPEAKER_01: Before they get there, they they pull up and they're like, so is it drugs?
- 36:46SPEAKER_01: And they're like, worse, it's scrapbooking.
- 36:50SPEAKER_01: Which is a lot worse than drugs.
- 36:53SPEAKER_01: Rather than pick up drugs.
- 36:55SPEAKER_01: One is one is way more fun.
- 36:59SPEAKER_00: Which one are you thinking?
- 37:00SPEAKER_01: I guess the world will pop it now.
- 37:04SPEAKER_01: You have to use your imagination.
- 37:07SPEAKER_01: It's fun in here.
- 37:09SPEAKER_00: Scrapbooking on drugs.
- 37:13SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 37:15SPEAKER_01: That could be fun.
- 37:16SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
- 37:18SPEAKER_01: Wow.
- 37:18SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 37:19SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 37:20SPEAKER_01: I'll I'll jot it down on my planner.
- 37:24SPEAKER_01: She still has a planner.
- 37:25SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 37:26SPEAKER_01: I I don't.
- 37:26SPEAKER_01: I don't actually.
- 37:27SPEAKER_02: No, she does.
- 37:28SPEAKER_02: She's lying.
- 37:28SPEAKER_02: She does.
- 37:30SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 37:31SPEAKER_01: No, I don't.
- 37:32SPEAKER_02: No, you don't.
- 37:33SPEAKER_01: I have that calendar right there.
- 37:35SPEAKER_02: Sure you don't.
- 37:36SPEAKER_01: Okay, Lisa.
- 37:37SPEAKER_01: But I see it.
- 37:38SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 37:39SPEAKER_02: I wouldn't put it past you though.
- 37:41SPEAKER_01: No, I don't have a planner.
- 37:42SPEAKER_02: So as Beth goes in to get the package from Mike, one of the stock guys behind the store.
- 37:47SPEAKER_02: Annie puts on the puts on Indigo Girls and starts singing quite badly.
- 37:53SPEAKER_01: I didn't think she was that bad.
- 37:54SPEAKER_02: I don't think she was that bad.
- 37:55SPEAKER_02: I thought she was really cute.
- 37:56SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 37:57SPEAKER_02: Ruby is kind of crabby because of the whole Sheila shit.
- 38:01SPEAKER_02: Ooh, Sheila shit.
- 38:04SPEAKER_01: I mean, Ruby is Krabby, and I don't blame her because like she is just like not with the fuckery.
- 38:10SPEAKER_02: I love a good alliteration.
- 38:13SPEAKER_02: Sheila shit.
- 38:15SPEAKER_02: I love that.
- 38:17SPEAKER_02: So Ruby confines in Annie that she's in a mood because of a thirsty skink.
- 38:25SPEAKER_02: To credit for the money trying to get to Stan.
- 38:29SPEAKER_02: Beth comes back to the SUV empty-handed.
- 38:32SPEAKER_02: Annie gives it a go.
- 38:33SPEAKER_02: She does the whole like trying to connect on the little sister lost, you know, loser kind of thing, you know.
- 38:44SPEAKER_02: She strikes out.
- 38:45SPEAKER_02: Here comes Ruby.
- 38:47unknown: Yeah.
- 38:49SPEAKER_02: Pulling out Stance gun.
- 38:52SPEAKER_02: First, let's talk about gun safety.
- 38:54SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 38:55SPEAKER_02: I knew this was coming.
- 38:56SPEAKER_02: Like, as I'm watching it, I knew what was gonna happen, and I knew you were gonna say that.
- 39:01SPEAKER_02: Like, uh again.
- 39:05SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 39:06SPEAKER_01: It's okay.
- 39:07SPEAKER_01: You deal with me when I go off on my shit.
- 39:09SPEAKER_01: So have at it.
- 39:10SPEAKER_02: Enjoy.
- 39:11SPEAKER_02: Thank you.
- 39:11SPEAKER_02: I'm enjoying.
- 39:12SPEAKER_01: Thanks for the permission I didn't need.
- 39:15SPEAKER_01: Are you sure you didn't need it?
- 39:16SPEAKER_01: I do the editing.
- 39:18SPEAKER_01: No, I'm just kidding.
- 39:25SPEAKER_01: Oh shit.
- 39:27SPEAKER_01: And you would never know because you don't fucking listen.
- 39:29SPEAKER_01: This will be the episode I'm gonna fucking listen to.
- 39:32SPEAKER_02: Just I'm like, Lisa, I didn't remember hearing this part in there.
- 39:37SPEAKER_01: Um I guess you'll just have to wait and find out.
- 39:41SPEAKER_02: Gun safety, rule number one: always assume a weapon is loaded.
- 39:47SPEAKER_02: With or without a magazine, always assume it's loaded.
- 39:51SPEAKER_02: Two, never put your finger in the trigger guard unless you're about to pull the trigger.
- 39:58SPEAKER_02: I knew that.
- 39:59SPEAKER_02: She failed one and two of that.
- 40:03SPEAKER_01: Lisa.
- 40:04SPEAKER_01: And you don't point it at anybody.
- 40:05SPEAKER_02: And you don't mark it.
- 40:06SPEAKER_02: No, you don't point at anybody.
- 40:08SPEAKER_02: You point down.
- 40:10SPEAKER_01: Right, straight down, like at the floor, not at feet.
- 40:13SPEAKER_01: I I she heard us talking in the last episode.
- 40:19SPEAKER_01: Like if somebody is trying to break into your house, you shoot them in the foot, but she got the signals crossed.
- 40:23SPEAKER_02: She got the signals crossed, exactly.
- 40:25SPEAKER_02: And by the way, Lisa, you did pretty damn good when you come when you came up here to shoot.
- 40:29SPEAKER_01: I you could shot.
- 40:31SPEAKER_01: Don't know how to work a gun.
- 40:32SPEAKER_01: I don't think I would know where to put the bullets.
- 40:35SPEAKER_01: However, in a body?
- 40:38SPEAKER_01: If you give me said gun loaded and all I have to do is point and shoot, I'm going to hit my target.
- 40:45SPEAKER_02: I am going to get you proficient.
- 40:47SPEAKER_01: Like, you'd have to put the bullets in for me.
- 40:49SPEAKER_01: But after that, I'm proficient.
- 40:51SPEAKER_02: I'm going to get you proficient.
- 40:52SPEAKER_02: I'm going to have it so you can like drop it back into it and reload.
- 40:58SPEAKER_02: I'm going to get you proficient.
- 40:59SPEAKER_01: Guns scare me.
- 41:01SPEAKER_01: But I'm going to get a fucking shot.
- 41:02SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm not sure.
- 41:03SPEAKER_01: It scared me too.
- 41:04SPEAKER_01: But that's also from like Coney Island, you know.
- 41:07SPEAKER_01: But and I have a pellet gun.
- 41:09SPEAKER_02: From living in New York, we don't do guns.
- 41:11SPEAKER_02: And then when I moved here, such a foreign concept.
- 41:15SPEAKER_02: It scared me too, because I didn't know how to use it.
- 41:18SPEAKER_02: I have this thing about I just don't play with things I don't know how to use.
- 41:22SPEAKER_02: I you have to respect.
- 41:24SPEAKER_02: Like, I like to ride motorcycles.
- 41:26SPEAKER_02: Can I drive one?
- 41:27SPEAKER_02: No, because I don't.
- 41:28SPEAKER_02: But I gave my bitch and um so Ruby, Ruby does her thing.
- 41:36SPEAKER_02: And because she failed rule one and rule two, she accidentally shoots Mike.
- 41:41SPEAKER_01: And of course.
- 41:43SPEAKER_02: It worked though.
- 41:44SPEAKER_02: It did work.
- 41:45SPEAKER_02: It worked.
- 41:45SPEAKER_01: It was take your shit and go.
- 41:52SPEAKER_01: I love though, like she's just standing there.
- 41:55SPEAKER_01: Like, she is just standing there like a starfish, right?
- 41:59SPEAKER_01: Like with her arms kind of out.
- 42:01SPEAKER_01: And she's just like, huh, huh?
- 42:06SPEAKER_01: Okay, I'm not mad at that because I would have been like, ooh.
- 42:11SPEAKER_01: She'd fight, fright, uh, fight, uh fight.
- 42:16SPEAKER_01: Fight or flight failed on both cases.
- 42:19SPEAKER_01: Well fight, flight, or freeze.
- 42:22SPEAKER_01: She chose freeze.
- 42:24SPEAKER_01: Um freeze is the third option.
- 42:25SPEAKER_01: Nobody ever really talks about it though.
- 42:27SPEAKER_01: But that's true.
- 42:28SPEAKER_01: It is a valid.
- 42:29SPEAKER_01: And and that's what she chose.
- 42:30SPEAKER_02: And that's actually the most common response, honestly.
- 42:33SPEAKER_01: It is, it is.
- 42:35SPEAKER_01: Um and then I like when they're in the car.
- 42:37SPEAKER_01: And they're like, they're just like, but really, like, he's gonna get the best medical care.
- 42:43SPEAKER_02: Right, because to have the best socialized mess medicine.
- 42:46SPEAKER_02: Like, then he's gonna be fine.
- 42:47SPEAKER_02: And then with Bethles, he'd just been a big baby.
- 42:49SPEAKER_01: Like it's just a graze, you know.
- 42:53SPEAKER_01: It's fine.
- 42:54SPEAKER_02: He goes, Yeah, he's been a big baby, but you can never walk again.
- 42:59SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
- 43:01SPEAKER_02: But like I tell everybody, but did you die?
- 43:04SPEAKER_02: What the fuck?
- 43:06SPEAKER_02: Woman up and keep it moving.
- 43:09SPEAKER_02: I like to say woman up because women are stronger than men.
- 43:12SPEAKER_00: That's a fact.
- 43:14SPEAKER_02: Um, on their way back, they get chosen for like the rant, like the random checks.
- 43:21SPEAKER_02: Of course they did.
- 43:22SPEAKER_01: Because Annie is sitting there looking like the cat that ate the canary.
- 43:26SPEAKER_01: I mean, she's just like, ooh, ooh, putting on her glasses, like, oh.
- 43:30SPEAKER_01: Like you couldn't look guiltier if you tried.
- 43:33SPEAKER_02: Or if you wrote guilty on your forehead, you still wouldn't look as guilty.
- 43:37SPEAKER_02: But then by them being Canadian, they were so nice about it, at least.
- 43:39SPEAKER_02: You know what I mean?
- 43:40SPEAKER_02: So they get pulled at the she was like, everything looks fine.
- 43:43SPEAKER_02: Just had to go to aisle number three.
- 43:45SPEAKER_02: And Bruv's like, is that the express lady?
- 43:50SPEAKER_02: No, bitch.
- 43:51SPEAKER_02: No, they just have to confirm your purchase.
- 43:53SPEAKER_02: Search and seizure.
- 43:54SPEAKER_02: I wish someone would search me.
- 43:56SPEAKER_02: But anyway.
- 43:57SPEAKER_02: The dog.
- 43:59SPEAKER_02: And then I call this Annie.
- 44:01SPEAKER_02: Annie Diddle and try to pet the dog.
- 44:05SPEAKER_01: I did that once.
- 44:06SPEAKER_01: Like I didn't realize it was a service dog.
- 44:09SPEAKER_01: Like in a we we were in, like, I don't know what store, and I I didn't realize it was a service dog.
- 44:15SPEAKER_01: Didn't have a vest or I I if they did, like I didn't see, you know, like I just all you saw was fur and four paws.
- 44:24SPEAKER_02: And you're like, I see.
- 44:25SPEAKER_02: nothing.
- 44:25SPEAKER_01: And then I was like, oh look at the and I was like, don't necessarily I was like, oh shit.
- 44:29SPEAKER_01: Like I totally did not realize it.
- 44:34SPEAKER_01: Like.
- 44:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 44:36SPEAKER_02: But I was no, because I sh I did a little swirl and it's really good.
- 44:41SPEAKER_02: Oh.
- 44:41SPEAKER_02: So Annie absolutely did a Lisa.
- 44:44SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 44:44SPEAKER_02: And like, don't touch the dog.
- 44:46SPEAKER_02: Oh no, those those I definitely would not have fucked with.
- 44:49SPEAKER_02: But the German Shepherds and I love them too.
- 44:52SPEAKER_02: I'm actually not mad at that.
- 44:53SPEAKER_02: One of my fates.
- 44:54SPEAKER_02: So they did so they open the package, they do the sniff tests, they're shitty bricks, fun as head by all.
- 45:00SPEAKER_02: The cop comes.
- 45:04SPEAKER_02: Because in my head it's like that background music.
- 45:08SPEAKER_02: Thank you for being so patient.
- 45:10SPEAKER_02: Have a good day.
- 45:11SPEAKER_02: I was just like you couldn't just smile that you had to like come and scare the shit out of me.
- 45:16SPEAKER_02: But that's just me.
- 45:17SPEAKER_02: So they quickly get out of there they pull over and they're like what the fuck is it?
- 45:23SPEAKER_02: At first it seems like a ton of wrapping paper until we see the familiar balding head of Ben Franklin on the other side.
- 45:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah because Beth is like it's just wrapping paper.
- 45:33SPEAKER_01: And she unrolled because Annie is like looking in she's like maybe the drugs are inside.
- 45:38SPEAKER_01: She's looking through the tube.
- 45:40SPEAKER_01: So Beth unrolls she's like no it's just wrapping paper when she unrolls it you see Ruby and Annie's face because they're on the other side.
- 45:47SPEAKER_01: Holy shit it's money.
- 45:51SPEAKER_01: I want to wrap my gifts in that paper.
- 45:53SPEAKER_02: I want to wrap myself in that paper.
- 46:00SPEAKER_02: As we find out soon enough at an abandoned warehouse Rio is running a massive counterfeit money operation.
- 46:07SPEAKER_02: And I don't know him be him doing his real thing woohoo total turn on.
- 46:14SPEAKER_02: You see the whole operation of them cutting washing like shitload of wrapping paper.
- 46:20SPEAKER_02: I'll never look at wrapping paper the same way again.
- 46:24SPEAKER_02: So there's they're just standing there waiting for them to be noticed.
- 46:28SPEAKER_02: Beth, you know leader of the gang goes to Rio and she goes to ask to confirm that they're all done and he's just doing his thing.
- 46:40SPEAKER_02: So she Yeah he's totally fucking ignoring her.
- 46:42SPEAKER_02: And she turns around and then she has that moment.
- 46:45SPEAKER_02: I think in my in my head she has that flashback to where she like lost her power where she realized I have nothing now and she's like uh uh no I'm not leaving until I hear it come out your mouth yeah because she goes up to him and he's talking to someone and she's like so we're good and he he's right there like he can obviously hear her he knows she's there but he just continues to talk to the guy he's talking to without ever really acknowledging her presence he wants her to absolutely wants her to man up and it's kind of like yeah there was a scene I don't remember what exactly it was but like earlier in the episode and I'm already like how long before they're together before they're and I was like I swear to God like the heat I think I need to turn on a fan here.
- 47:48SPEAKER_02: And that's why you attacked your husband interesting home that night okay I mean he wasn't there when I watched so he probably admits you were good.
- 47:59SPEAKER_01: So to celebrate which all of us do they go to eat and they drink margaritas and jalapeno poppers and I'm like I fucking want that.
- 48:09SPEAKER_02: The waitress is like so what are we celebrating?
- 48:11SPEAKER_02: And he goes because we're celebrating smuggling a bunch of counterfeit money over Canadian border and escaping a violent drug gang.
- 48:21SPEAKER_01: And Beth goes and no drugs in our butt that waitress was like well fuck you too right she's like whatever head but she's like okay I'm gonna cut them off I was like bitch you know you have a fucking home visit why are you there drinking margaritas?
- 48:41SPEAKER_01: I mean at this time they still had time at this point.
- 48:44SPEAKER_02: Yeah I'm yeah I would have been I I would have been like this eating go but I would like just do a drive-thru but you know Wendy's would have been fine.
- 48:54SPEAKER_01: Right four for four uh yeah does it look pretty I would have splurged with a lemonade you know and a frosty for later maybe a wine cooler because it's you know maybe at most that's mostly right listen I'm I'm all for celebrating I'm all for margarita for the colour with the home visit this really wasn't the time exactly like you have something so important important and then you should be home making sure everything's ordered being Beth where like the adults really should have been like let's eat and go you think their celebration is short lived because Beth gets a call from Dean like hey we got hit yeah like come pick up the kids and don't you wonder how they got no they got hit I wonder right well I mean I I feel like that was pretty easy to figure out okay so now they have to get rid of the fucking car.
- 49:47SPEAKER_02: Mm-hmm they have a plan.
- 49:49SPEAKER_02: So think wait but it gets better because as they're getting out the when they're getting into the car Annie's phone connects yeah they're like wait you synced your fucking phone she's like yeah we just unsync it okay everyone knows that once your fucking phone is synced most people don't really notice that because it's their car.
- 50:12SPEAKER_02: But once it's synced it's pretty much synced like unless you have I mean you can unsync but you have to do like factor reset.
- 50:19SPEAKER_01: And you don't know how much data is stored.
- 50:22SPEAKER_01: Stored and I mean I've I've synced my phone to like when I've rented cars like especially when we've driven you know to visit in-laws and like it's a long drive so I've synced my phone and then I unsync it and I know like yeah you'd probably stored data like oh yeah Lisa's phone but I'm not it wasn't a stolen car so right you're like meh um it was sunk sunked synced it was sunk to it it was sunk it was but she goes to no punishment look it was unsynced yeah and then she goes turn the car back on what does it do connects right back.
- 50:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah she's like well maybe we just need to reboot it bitch we should have reboot this car she was like I'm just making up words that I heard so they decide to sync the bitch according to Lisa sync the bitch the synced car I know that they were like they were gonna set it on fire and then they were in the middle of the highway yes the case that made sense yeah yeah like in broad fucking daylight yeah I mean depending what city not where they live but most people would have not paid any mind to it you know they they are in Michigan so I mean they weren't in Detroit though so well I'm sure they can get there.
- 51:33SPEAKER_01: That's a good point.
- 51:34SPEAKER_02: Um all right so as the car is sinking into the lake or the pond it didn't look like a lake but anyhow I know blue calls it was like I think I have a bigger puddle in my in my backyard when it rains but and how did they get the car so far in um stage hands on set rope and pulley system maybe put the car in neutral and you push I would I mean I would imagine like if if I was trying to sink a car I thought we would no um like find a big rock and put it on the accelerator but then if that happened the next scene couldn't happen because Annie's phone rings and it's the Well why can't that happen?
- 52:27SPEAKER_02: Because it would have happened too fast.
- 52:28SPEAKER_02: Because oh oh right yeah it would have just happened too fast because you never would have she wouldn't have the conversation with the gazeworker as the car is sinking in the lake brings a whole new meaning to I'm going through a tunnel I can't I can't hear you I'm losing yeah yeah our trouble we should say that all the time going through the tunnel because you're going through like the Brooklyn Battery or the Lincoln Holland sorry going through a tunnel sorry I can't hear you.
- 53:00SPEAKER_02: Yeah do you know what pissed me off when AT ⁇ T expanded their antennas and I was able to get service underground and I'm like I can't even get like on the path train I guess it's not as high and I come like I can't even get fucking peace on my train ride home because like that train ride home is your only time to like to be left the fuck alone.
- 53:25SPEAKER_01: But these days even in like the regular subway you can get service.
- 53:28SPEAKER_01: Well now because I mean this is like 15 years ago and I was just like fuck like I hate y'all oh I'm sorry my head hurts from laughing so hard yeah so they um but Dean is like yeah I don't know how many cars like now we have to do inventory we don't know like so now it's like this even bigger mess.
- 53:54SPEAKER_01: I wonder if they'll ever find the car.
- 53:57SPEAKER_02: I don't know yeah I know Sadie is tr just late like beyond fucking late Annie thank you Annie is beyond fucking late you know in the first in the first episode uh when you were introducing the characters you were like oh you said Beth Hendricks I think I did yeah yeah and I didn't catch it when you said it but when I edited I was like no wait what's her what's her name in real life Christina I think Christina yes Christine Christine or Christina nothing like Beth nothing like Elizabeth okay fine but it's Beth in the show.
- 54:45SPEAKER_02: So is Beth Hendrix Yeah though Annie is woefully late Sadie manages to say things with the social worker with some shrimp cocktails and the social worker questions about Annie's whereabouts things are actually doing quite well until Annie a social worker see that Sadie cut herself really bad while she was preparing the shrimp and then now because she leaves a bloodstain on the door.
- 55:13SPEAKER_02: And that's when it actually clicked that um she was left home she's like is this a lashkey thing and I laugh I was like oh girls the social workers in the 80s would have committed homicide or suicide because every kid was a lashkey kid um way less communication at that way less um and it kind of feels bad for Annie because she really does care about Sadie's like she loves her daughter and she can't get her to the emergency room for stitches because there's a boon in her car and to be able to and to she's like can you give us a ride?
- 55:56SPEAKER_02: Yeah that was been like does it like the fact that she's like I'm gonna take this out to keep my kid help but I know I'm gonna be fucked.
- 56:05SPEAKER_02: I know I'm fucked once they get home Sadie asks well where were you and and it's like it was something really important and when Sadie this part breaks my heart and she goes what's more important than me and I'm just like you there's no assholes in this situation right you know what I mean right and as you see Sadie like stepping up being like the grown up because another joked about it in episode one but can you imagine this for her whole life with Annie being irresponsible like that can't be good for Sadie.
- 56:48SPEAKER_01: Because sometimes love just really isn't enough yeah and and and we know that Annie did it to stay out of jail.
- 56:58SPEAKER_01: She did it to be able to keep custody like we know that her intentions however skewed they were coming from a good place.
- 57:12SPEAKER_02: It goes that like well I've just been committing a string of crimes felonies at that because I love you so much you know and it goes we don't always get the answer right but we really do it with the best intentions for our kids.
- 57:29SPEAKER_02: And it just but at the same time Sadie obviously she loves her mother but growing up being the adult in the house no matter how loving that household isn't good for her.
- 57:45SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 57:46SPEAKER_01: The next scene Ruby's you know at home just sitting in the bed and here comes Stan he pulls out the handcuffs give her your hands I was like I was so cute and but it was okay it was like cute but sexy but it was sexy because it it was just so cute like the way he was just like everything because like we have to talk about it and he turns around with the handcuffs and she's like come on and he was like nope.
- 58:14SPEAKER_02: I that's the relationship I kind of want I want that fun at the same time we can talk it out we can work through it and I want to you know relationship I want I don't know if you follow them but I want Rihanna and Aesop Rocky's relationship.
- 58:30SPEAKER_01: Don't follow okay so I barely follow my own relationship at this point.
- 58:36SPEAKER_02: They have the husband he'll tell you like they obviously they were friends for a long time before they came a couple if you watch them you wouldn't but like the sort of like when they're in public and doing events or her concert his concert whatever his he is that's my woman right there.
- 58:57SPEAKER_02: Like the way he just looks at her and the way that they have fun like they do like they just they just yeah I like that I want that kind of relationship.
- 59:08SPEAKER_02: I want someone to love me out loud you know if that makes sense.
- 59:12SPEAKER_01: Yeah I get it.
- 59:13SPEAKER_02: Yeah I like that so that's Stan and Ruby have that relationship like they're friends and you know and Ruby gets her revenge on Sheila.
- 59:23SPEAKER_02: So Lisa do you want to do you want to take over this do you want the honor?
- 59:27SPEAKER_02: Look at you because you're like Queen of Petty and you would love this shit.
- 59:31SPEAKER_01: I would have thrown some more shit in there let me tell you yeah but so they go back to church and Ruby wants to testify and yeah and Stan is like what are you doing?
- 59:48SPEAKER_01: So she says how uh something like pride is a sin and she's working on it and but she wants to say thank you because you know that was so amazing what she did.
- 1:00:02SPEAKER_01: And she was like don't you still work at the salon?
- 1:00:05SPEAKER_01: How did you come up with all that money?
- 1:00:07SPEAKER_01: Well you know I saved here and there.
- 1:00:09SPEAKER_01: So here's where I would have been like I would have been like that is so amazing and the fact that you have pledged to donate again I would have thrown that one in there.
- 1:00:20SPEAKER_02: But she was like and thank you so much for offering to drive the kids home and I what's she say also to cook and find organic groceries and Whole Foods and babysit when we have a date night and Sheila is like fuck like you see it on her face and she's trying to keep her face you know proper and Ruby they they're communicating with the eyes and and she's like mm-hmm thank you and she's like okay yes but yeah I got caught out there and I can't do anything about it because I did do like yeah that was great like she is so fucking smart.
- 1:01:07SPEAKER_01: I figured you would like that part I thought I was like I'm gonna this this is Lisa's yeah yeah yeah I just I just wish in my life that if I ever had an opportunity like that that I would seize it and not just be like taking my go stupid for a second.
- 1:01:23SPEAKER_01: Right oh right like ready to call the bitch out and slap her I think if you take a you are able to do that.
- 1:01:31SPEAKER_02: I think you give yourself 10 seconds to breathe for a second.
- 1:01:34SPEAKER_02: That's the problem though I gotta remember to take the 10 seconds.
- 1:01:38SPEAKER_02: So what if somebody has to be with you and be like 10 so I need to be supervised at all times.
- 1:01:42SPEAKER_01: Eight seven and then if you I literally have a shirt that says in my defense I was left unsupervised.
- 1:01:49SPEAKER_02: Okay but depending on the situation I might be fucked the count go bitch go so wait actually I'm not the one then because I would Okay who's gonna supervise me supervising you then we're fucked either way but but okay we forgot something.
- 1:02:10SPEAKER_01: Before this Dean is in the house with Beth right because wasn't that the scene right before this one?
- 1:02:17SPEAKER_02: No this is actually the next scene are you sure?
- 1:02:24SPEAKER_02: Okay fine I'm not gonna argue but I'm pretty sure that it was before because that's how I wrote it okay all right either way go ahead next scene previous scene either way wait did you watch because I swear I did we can't figure it out okay I can't with you after a heart to heart were dean Beth realizes that her anger towards him is now subsided to apathy which is actually as you and I both know is worse so while it's clear that the flames in her marriage have been extinguished is dead and gone it clicks in her that something else has lit her fire.
- 1:03:17SPEAKER_02: So she goes back to the warehouse.
- 1:03:19SPEAKER_02: Yeah because she's like you always have a choice and then she leaves and I thought that that scene was like before because Okay I don't I won't give it away to Ruby and then because right like when it when that scene concludes I thought that that was the end of the episode okay and then it it wasn't but maybe you're right I don't know oh she goes back to the warehouse everything's locked up she gets in and is emptied out yeah so she does anything she can do which is genius she takes her pearls off and she leaves it on the door because she already fucking sexy what as fuck it's the fact that she knows that he's gonna find her like he knows it's like it's just like come hither it's just such a little act that says come yeah yeah like I came looking for you now you come find me and then but the thing is though the fact it's kind of telling for me because anyone else who like okay he cleared out he's never coming back but she know like I think she already knows enough about him at this point to know he'll find it.
- 1:04:35SPEAKER_01: But even and even if he never did right like what did you have to lose at that point?
- 1:04:39SPEAKER_02: But I think she kind of but she knew at this point she's like because the look at her face she's like I know what I'm gonna do because she has that kind of like that look in her eyes like Yeah.
- 1:04:49SPEAKER_02: So anybody else will be like okay it's cleared out he's moved on to something else.
- 1:04:54SPEAKER_02: So there's a connection there like you we all seen it for three episodes even when he's trying to kill her with a gun to her head you still feel there's something there.
- 1:05:04SPEAKER_01: And I feel like the next scene is the way that he looks at her and the way that he's it's it's like how he's simultaneously hard and soft.
- 1:05:19SPEAKER_01: And I didn't mean that as like a Freudian slip you know like he's tough but you can see like it's the soft speak and the the gentle orders.
- 1:05:33SPEAKER_02: But that's the but and that's what makes him even sexier to me because when you speak softly that's scary and you're like yeah right but like if he if he really really wasn't like looking at them and and you know seeing them for the for women that they are I feel like the He would have shot them already.
- 1:05:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah like he he just wouldn't have cared like you know it's just I think that the whole interaction would have just gone a different way from the get.
- 1:06:05SPEAKER_02: I think and also the fact that they are like the PTA moms.
- 1:06:09SPEAKER_02: And I think part he's also a very spawn man.
- 1:06:12SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
- 1:06:13SPEAKER_02: And I think it's like intriguing.
- 1:06:15SPEAKER_02: And he saw it was the intrigue and he's like this has potential besides give me my money.
- 1:06:20SPEAKER_02: And you know I think and think I think something different it is fun.
- 1:06:24SPEAKER_02: And he's like fuck that I'm gonna have some like it's and I feel like the way they clicked to the next scene was kind of like no time it passed and you kind of turn around and he's there in the kitchen.
- 1:06:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah and he's like um oh what did he say?
- 1:06:42SPEAKER_01: It's it's uh traditionally it's Jordan's on the phone lines.
- 1:06:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's what he It's like I only had pumps.
- 1:06:50SPEAKER_02: So even that What do you want to talk to me about?
- 1:06:53SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:06:54SPEAKER_01: Well that was the last scene, and if my husband was home, he would have been in trouble.
- 1:07:02SPEAKER_01: He was like, So what'd you want to talk about?
- 1:07:04SPEAKER_01: And just that look is like walk.
- 1:07:08SPEAKER_02: But wait, Lisa, you think you're feeling it now?
- 1:07:11SPEAKER_02: Wait, girl, wait.
- 1:07:14SPEAKER_02: A little trivia.
- 1:07:15SPEAKER_01: Oh, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
- 1:07:17SPEAKER_01: We didn't um the scene where Annie is she's back at work and she's like using the pen.
- 1:07:23SPEAKER_01: Oh, I forgot about that scene.
- 1:07:25SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and Boomer is like, oh, I see now you're finally using the pen.
- 1:07:29SPEAKER_01: And she's like, oh, well, it felt a little crispy, and he's like, Yeah, well, good thing it's real because the customer's already gone.
- 1:07:34SPEAKER_01: But I was trying to, was that like in her pocket?
- 1:07:40SPEAKER_01: Did she I didn't see where it came from, but it's obviously one of the fake bills.
- 1:07:46SPEAKER_02: No, it's one of the fake bills.
- 1:07:47SPEAKER_02: But how'd she get it?
- 1:07:49SPEAKER_02: They went to a warehouse full of the fake bills.
- 1:07:51SPEAKER_02: Remember, they're already cutting them and washed them to pick one up.
- 1:07:54SPEAKER_01: I mean, she just stood by the entrance.
- 1:07:56SPEAKER_01: Like her and Ruby never really went far in.
- 1:07:59SPEAKER_01: I didn't immediately think like, oh, they took one.
- 1:08:02SPEAKER_01: It just seemed like it wasn't impossible, but like I I just feel like Rio's operation is probably not that careless that like bills are just on the floor.
- 1:08:23SPEAKER_01: So I think maybe she was I don't I don't know.
- 1:08:27SPEAKER_02: Like I just maybe she took a sheet.
- 1:08:29SPEAKER_02: Who knows?
- 1:08:30SPEAKER_02: Maybe you'll find out next week.
- 1:08:32SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 1:08:33SPEAKER_02: Maybe you'll never find out.
- 1:08:35SPEAKER_01: Maybe it's uh maybe I have to watch six seasons of lost and then I'll still have questions.
- 1:08:41SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 1:08:43SPEAKER_02: Maybe.
- 1:08:44SPEAKER_02: Or maybe it was just a plot hole.
- 1:08:45SPEAKER_01: It could yeah.
- 1:08:46SPEAKER_01: I mean it could be any.
- 1:08:47SPEAKER_01: I was just trying to figure out the relevance.
- 1:08:52SPEAKER_02: Of you know, obviously, I it has to be the fake one because her look on her face that when it came up, like she seemed surprised, right?
- 1:09:00SPEAKER_02: As fuck.
- 1:09:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:09:01SPEAKER_02: That's a good concept fit, baby.
- 1:09:05SPEAKER_01: I'm sure Rio is not running some drinking dink operation.
- 1:09:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:09:10SPEAKER_01: Any thoughts?
- 1:09:12SPEAKER_01: No, I told you my thoughts.
- 1:09:14SPEAKER_01: I don't have many.
- 1:09:21SPEAKER_02: You don't have many.
- 1:09:22SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 1:09:25SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 1:09:27SPEAKER_01: No, but but in all fairness, I am enjoying the show, and I I thought that the premise was gonna be more like in order to pay back the money that's due to him, he was gonna have them like he was gonna be holding it over them in order for them to keep performing.
- 1:09:50SPEAKER_01: So I didn't see this twist coming that Beth is like you know, you always have a choice.
- 1:09:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:09:59SPEAKER_01: So I didn't see that part coming.
- 1:10:01SPEAKER_02: I can see how with the the that life is intoxicating.
- 1:10:05SPEAKER_01: I mean, I'm sure it's like quick money and then once you you've done it once, easy money.
- 1:10:12SPEAKER_01: Although when they when they first got there, I kind of thought that it was a setup.
- 1:10:22SPEAKER_01: I kind of thought that like Beth is like Mike says he doesn't have it.
- 1:10:26SPEAKER_01: Like Mike, you know, thinking like it this was Rio's way to see if he could trust them.
- 1:10:34SPEAKER_01: So there really wasn't anything.
- 1:10:36SPEAKER_01: So it was like, okay, you went and you talked to him, like, but did you actually go?
- 1:10:40SPEAKER_01: You know what I mean?
- 1:10:42SPEAKER_01: But like the fact that they talk or it could have been both.
- 1:10:46unknown: Right.
- 1:10:47SPEAKER_01: So that's what that's what I'm saying.
- 1:10:48SPEAKER_02: Like, get the money, get my shit, but let's see how well they actually perform.
- 1:10:52SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 1:10:53SPEAKER_01: At the same time.
- 1:10:54SPEAKER_01: I because at first I was like, oh, maybe it's it's just a test to see if they would actually go and you know, find Mike.
- 1:11:02SPEAKER_01: And then when Mike, when they're like, oh, Mike says he doesn't have it, and then it's like, I really don't have it.
- 1:11:08SPEAKER_01: But then after when Annie is like, I really thought we were vibing.
- 1:11:15SPEAKER_01: Then I was like, well, maybe this is a test.
- 1:11:16SPEAKER_01: Maybe it's just to see how tough they are.
- 1:11:18SPEAKER_01: Also, we fucking shoot him.
- 1:11:20SPEAKER_01: And I was like, I guess I think they pass.
- 1:11:27SPEAKER_01: You know, that's just me.
- 1:11:29SPEAKER_01: I'm liking it.
- 1:11:30SPEAKER_01: I need a little bit more red string to really like enjoy it.
- 1:11:34SPEAKER_01: But not all shows have red strings.
- 1:11:36SPEAKER_02: I know that.
- 1:11:37SPEAKER_02: But you're fine of red string no matter what.
- 1:11:39SPEAKER_02: You'll take a yarn of white and dye it red.
- 1:11:41SPEAKER_02: It's fine.
- 1:11:43SPEAKER_01: I just might.
- 1:11:47SPEAKER_02: So you know, earlier in the episode, um, Boomer and Annie have a conversation about Ocean's 8.
- 1:11:54SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
- 1:11:55SPEAKER_02: Um, Mae Whitman, who plays Annie, played Sandra Bullock's daughter in Hope's Float.
- 1:12:02SPEAKER_02: What does that have to do with Ocean's 8?
- 1:12:04SPEAKER_02: Sandra Bullock was the star of Ocean's 8.
- 1:12:07SPEAKER_02: Oh.
- 1:12:07SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:12:08SPEAKER_02: Anyone who watched Okay, so honestly, everyone knows Sandra Bullock was in it.
- 1:12:13SPEAKER_02: Rihanna was in it.
- 1:12:14SPEAKER_02: All these badass women were in it.
- 1:12:17SPEAKER_01: If you were in it, I wouldn't even know.
- 1:12:21SPEAKER_02: Okay, I take that personal, cause I think if you're really should know if I knew.
- 1:12:25SPEAKER_01: I mean, yeah, you would have I would have known.
- 1:12:27SPEAKER_02: But like you would have remembered.
- 1:12:28SPEAKER_01: But you would have- Like, but like my neighbor could have been in it.
- 1:12:31SPEAKER_01: I I I would not I would have no idea.
- 1:12:33SPEAKER_02: So I'm gonna give the trivia for people like Lisa.
- 1:12:39SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 1:12:40SPEAKER_02: Boomer and Annie talk about Oceans 8, which stars Sandra Bullock.
- 1:12:44SPEAKER_02: May Whitman, who plays Annie, plays Sandra Bullock's daughter in Hope Floats.
- 1:12:50SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 1:12:51SPEAKER_02: Another movie.
- 1:12:53SPEAKER_01: I've heard of it, yes.
- 1:12:56SPEAKER_01: I mean, I've heard of these movies.
- 1:12:58SPEAKER_01: I just I must really have interest in watching them.
- 1:13:04SPEAKER_01: I did, however.
- 1:13:05SPEAKER_01: You know what movie I did watch?
- 1:13:07SPEAKER_01: What?
- 1:13:08SPEAKER_01: Baby Girl.
- 1:13:10SPEAKER_01: That's the one that Colleen recommended with Nicole Kidman.
- 1:13:16SPEAKER_00: I did not see that.
- 1:13:17SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:13:18SPEAKER_01: You said you were gonna watch it.
- 1:13:19SPEAKER_01: Look at you, liar.
- 1:13:21SPEAKER_02: You know, I have a memory.
- 1:13:22SPEAKER_02: I don't remember shit.
- 1:13:26SPEAKER_01: No, I I did watch it.
- 1:13:27SPEAKER_01: I wanted to see how it was.
- 1:13:29SPEAKER_02: Honestly, to be fair, I'm sitting, like, I'm like, okay, what I want to watch.
- 1:13:33SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, I knew there was something I want to watch because I don't I forget to maybe I should just like text you, Lisa, what movies do I want to watch today?
- 1:13:41SPEAKER_02: I must start doing it.
- 1:13:42SPEAKER_02: See, I don't and I never look to put on a movie, but I mean like I don't have the patience for I don't have like the I used to be able to sit there and watch a movie, but now it just I my brain doesn't work the same way like it used to.
- 1:13:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:13:55SPEAKER_01: But I I I opened up um Macs on my iPad and it popped up like on the top.
- 1:14:04SPEAKER_01: Oh.
- 1:14:04SPEAKER_01: And I was like, oh, okay, watch.
- 1:14:08SPEAKER_02: So the only time I usually watch movies is if I'm taking a flight somewhere.
- 1:14:15SPEAKER_02: Usually.
- 1:14:16SPEAKER_02: Unless it's or if I'm re-watching a movie I've already seen, like I I can just kind of like listen to with half a ear.
- 1:14:24SPEAKER_02: But I did watch Sinners, and that was a fucking amazing.
- 1:14:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:14:28SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I know you were telling me.
- 1:14:30SPEAKER_01: Um eventually maybe I'll watch it.
- 1:14:32SPEAKER_02: It was so good.
- 1:14:33SPEAKER_01: Still catching up to movies I didn't see in the 80s, so he was kind of long here.
- 1:14:37SPEAKER_01: Did you see 20 years?
- 1:14:39SPEAKER_00: What?
- 1:14:40SPEAKER_00: Avengers and babysitting.
- 1:14:43SPEAKER_00: We should wrap up.
- 1:14:45unknown: What?
- 1:14:46SPEAKER_00: Wait, wait, okay, okay.
- 1:14:46SPEAKER_01: Avengers and that the one with Christina um no, Christina Applegate?
- 1:14:52SPEAKER_02: No, that's don't tell mom the babysitter is dead.
- 1:14:54SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay.
- 1:14:55SPEAKER_01: I saw that one.
- 1:14:56SPEAKER_01: Avengers and babysitting.
- 1:14:57SPEAKER_01: Dishes are done, man.
- 1:14:59SPEAKER_02: Uh Elizabeth Shue, a young Andy McCart.
- 1:15:04SPEAKER_02: Visa Dinafro when he was like.
- 1:15:06SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I know, I know, I I know of the movie.
- 1:15:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:15:09SPEAKER_02: You've never seen it.
- 1:15:10SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 1:15:11SPEAKER_02: Thank you for listening to our show.
- 1:15:12SPEAKER_02: Agnes quits.
- 1:15:14SPEAKER_02: I can't deal with this woman anymore.
- 1:15:16SPEAKER_02: I can't.
- 1:15:17SPEAKER_02: Who's never seen Infitrice and babysitting?
- 1:15:19SPEAKER_02: Everyone has seen Inventors and Babysitting along with the Godfather.
- 1:15:23SPEAKER_02: I can't.
- 1:15:24SPEAKER_02: It's me.
- 1:15:24SPEAKER_02: I've never seen sign out.
- 1:15:26SPEAKER_01: I'm a unicorn.
- 1:15:27SPEAKER_01: Sign off.
- 1:15:28SPEAKER_01: I'm a unicorn.
- 1:15:29SPEAKER_01: Nobody could be me.
- 1:15:30SPEAKER_02: I feel like right now, this is like at midnight where the TV's just shut off.
- 1:15:34SPEAKER_01: Where it's just snow.
- 1:15:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:15:36SPEAKER_01: Just I bet you've never seen 1000 and One Rabbit Tales.
- 1:15:46SPEAKER_01: Who has?
- 1:15:48SPEAKER_01: I can recite the movie.
- 1:15:49SPEAKER_01: Besides you.
- 1:15:50SPEAKER_01: That's see, that's why I didn't watch the other movies because I was too busy watching that one all the time.
- 1:15:56SPEAKER_01: And Raggedy Ann and Andy.
- 1:15:58SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:15:58SPEAKER_01: Have you seen Pollyanna?
- 1:16:01SPEAKER_01: And let us not forget Alice in Wonderland.
- 1:16:07SPEAKER_01: Not the Disney.
- 1:16:10SPEAKER_01: The wonderful all-star cast made for TV movie from 1985.
- 1:16:17SPEAKER_02: Okay, so the problem with Lisa and me is that she was watching age-appropriate movies while I wasn't.
- 1:16:24SPEAKER_01: And then continued watching them even in the last.
- 1:16:29SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:16:31SPEAKER_01: I don't believe that was I don't know how you can't believe it though.
- 1:16:34SPEAKER_01: Like this is a good thing.
- 1:16:35SPEAKER_01: I went to just some like iconic cult.
- 1:16:39SPEAKER_01: I mean, I think that I already had kids when I saw a Christmas story.
- 1:16:44SPEAKER_01: And my friend was like, You've never seen it?
- 1:16:46SPEAKER_01: And I was like, No.
- 1:16:47SPEAKER_01: And he was like, How could you have never seen the movie?
- 1:16:51SPEAKER_01: How do you never see I didn't watch it?
- 1:16:55SPEAKER_01: So I watched it.
- 1:16:56SPEAKER_01: Just movies.
- 1:16:58SPEAKER_01: Listen, we had a TV, we didn't have cable, and my father was the one watching the TV.
- 1:17:07SPEAKER_02: Okay, that's fair.
- 1:17:08SPEAKER_01: Like we just we played in our rooms.
- 1:17:12SPEAKER_01: Like we just really didn't watch a lot of TV and we didn't really go to the movies that much.
- 1:17:21SPEAKER_01: Like it was it was a rare occasion.
- 1:17:24SPEAKER_01: I mean, growing up, I feel like I can probably count the movies that I saw in the theater like on my hands.
- 1:17:34SPEAKER_01: We just didn't.
- 1:17:36SPEAKER_01: So it was just not like a like it was just not a thing, you know.
- 1:17:40SPEAKER_02: Okay, that's fair.
- 1:17:41SPEAKER_02: But y but you've been an adult for how many years now?
- 1:17:44SPEAKER_02: You still haven't seen it?
- 1:17:45SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 1:17:46SPEAKER_02: Because I guess it just suck.
- 1:17:48SPEAKER_02: Goodbye.
- 1:17:50SPEAKER_02: And please go to Sassussips.com to find all the ways to follow us.
- 1:17:59SPEAKER_01: And support the show.
- 1:18:00SPEAKER_01: And maybe if you buy us a coffee, I could buy a movie.
- 1:18:08SPEAKER_01: I can work an hour less and watch a movie.
- 1:18:11SPEAKER_02: Please remember to drink drink responsibly.
- 1:18:15SPEAKER_02: Don't drink and drive.
- 1:18:17SPEAKER_02: I'm Agnes.
- 1:18:19SPEAKER_01: I'm Lisa.
- 1:18:22SPEAKER_01: We're out of here.
- 1:18:23SPEAKER_01: See you later.
- 1:18:24SPEAKER_01: Bye.
