- 0:57Speaker 5: Man.
- 0:58Speaker 1: We're very happy to have you here.
- 1:00Speaker 5: You know, I spent I've spent a lot of time
- 1:02Speaker 5: with your Golden Partners in some different spots, and I
- 1:06Speaker 5: was I've heard nothing but great things about you, so
- 1:08Speaker 5: I was very excited to actually get to finally meet
- 1:09Speaker 5: you today. And and as I mentioned, h I got
- 1:12Speaker 5: a text this morning from Umberto and from Courtney Robertson
- 1:17Speaker 5: who she has you on her podcast and she's like,
- 1:20Speaker 5: oh my.
- 1:20Speaker 1: God, I love that guy. Umberto's favorite from the show.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Her husband and I love Romberto. So we love having
- 1:26Speaker 1: you on. Thank you for joining us.
- 1:28Speaker 5: You know, of course, Trista Sutterer is the the queen
- 1:31Speaker 5: of the Bachelorettes.
- 1:32Speaker 3: I know, you know, Trista. I'm just I'm just like
- 1:36Speaker 3: blown away because to be to be here with you
- 1:40Speaker 3: the first, you know, the first ever bachelorette, I mean
- 1:45Speaker 3: that's like, I mean, that's groundbreaking history.
- 1:48Speaker 4: So thank you, thank you.
- 1:51Speaker 3: I feel I feel special to be here.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Well, you are special.
- 1:54Speaker 4: We are feeling special that you're here with us.
- 1:58Speaker 3: Thank you so well.
- 2:00Speaker 2: I was a huge fan during the show, and I
- 2:04Speaker 2: wanted to talk to everybody, you know from Golden but
- 2:08Speaker 2: definitely was a huge fan of yours. I felt like
- 2:10Speaker 2: you really were honest, You put everything out there. It
- 2:13Speaker 2: seemed like you were there for the right reasons. Of course,
- 2:16Speaker 2: things didn't work out with Joan, and then you ended
- 2:19Speaker 2: up being in a relationship that you you know, shared
- 2:22Speaker 2: with public or shared about publicly. We hear that that
- 2:26Speaker 2: relationship is no longer and you're single again. Is that
- 2:31Speaker 2: true for all the ladies out there.
- 2:38Speaker 3: I guess as sad as it may be, But yes,
- 2:40Speaker 3: I am single.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Yes, okay, okay, ladies, he's single again.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Here you go.
- 2:47Speaker 4: And where are you located right now? Where's your home base?
- 2:51Speaker 3: I am in Oakland, Iowa?
- 2:53Speaker 4: Okay, Iowa? All right?
- 2:56Speaker 1: All right?
- 2:56Speaker 3: So a lot of people think when I say Oakland
- 3:00Speaker 3: that they're thinking Oakland, California. And so that's a pretty
- 3:04Speaker 3: important detail.
- 3:05Speaker 1: That is important, that is very important.
- 3:09Speaker 5: Where is Oakland, Iowa compared to like Des Moines or
- 3:12Speaker 5: Iowa City?
- 3:13Speaker 1: Is it nearby?
- 3:14Speaker 3: Let's see, des Moines is probably about an hour and
- 3:17Speaker 3: thirty hour forty five minutes away from where I am. Okay,
- 3:20Speaker 3: and I commute back and forth to Omaha, Nebraska, which
- 3:23Speaker 3: is about a forty minute commute west of where I'm at.
- 3:27Speaker 2: So, okay, got it? Okay, amazing? Okay, So you're single again?
- 3:33Speaker 2: Are you looking for another relationship? And if you're looking
- 3:38Speaker 2: for another relationship, would you look forward on national television
- 3:42Speaker 2: as the Golden Bachelor?
- 3:47Speaker 3: I like how you set that up? Yeh, gosh, you
- 3:52Speaker 3: know what I mean? You know, as the saying goes,
- 3:56Speaker 3: you know, love is love is not for the faint
- 3:58Speaker 3: and heart, you know. So, but you know what I think,
- 4:01Speaker 3: you know that you know, through this whole journey that
- 4:04Speaker 3: I've been through, the ups and the downs, and where
- 4:06Speaker 3: I'm at right now, it's like, you know, I don't
- 4:08Speaker 3: want to say that I'm out like like searching, like looking.
- 4:13Speaker 3: You know, I I look at as as something that
- 4:16Speaker 3: will organically happen, happens when it happens. And so there's
- 4:22Speaker 3: a lot that I've taken in, a lot that I've processed,
- 4:25Speaker 3: a lot that I've learned about myself, and I'm at a
- 4:27Speaker 3: pretty good spot right now. And so organically, if something happens,
- 4:31Speaker 3: whether that's a call from you know, National TV and saying, hey,
- 4:35Speaker 3: you know, what would you like to be the Golden Bachelor,
- 4:37Speaker 3: I mean, that would be an organic thing for me
- 4:39Speaker 3: to like say, well, you know, I didn't expect that
- 4:42Speaker 3: I would get that call, but if if that happened,
- 4:45Speaker 3: or if I met someone on the street, if I
- 4:48Speaker 3: or something like that, my heart is open. And you know, I,
- 4:53Speaker 3: you know, I always I always lead with a certain
- 4:55Speaker 3: sense of not a certain sense, but I leave with
- 4:58Speaker 3: author authenticity. And so you know, just however.
- 5:03Speaker 1: It rolls, it rolls, well, I'll say this, Jonathan.
- 5:06Speaker 5: You know you're you're on with the Original Bachelorette, and
- 5:10Speaker 5: I was actually on her season.
- 5:12Speaker 1: I was, I was, I was not a finalist. Well,
- 5:15Speaker 1: I guess I was a finalist.
- 5:16Speaker 5: Ish trusted what happened, and then they might be a
- 5:19Speaker 5: bachelor eventually.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Yeah, the right, the right thing happened, trust me. And
- 5:23Speaker 1: then eventually I found love too.
- 5:25Speaker 5: So guess what, maybe this is foreshadowing, right, you were
- 5:29Speaker 5: on the original Golden Bachelorette. I don't know, buddy, I'm
- 5:32Speaker 5: just saying it could happen. Crazier things have happened.
- 5:35Speaker 3: Well, the fact that I was even on the Golden
- 5:37Speaker 3: Bachelorette is a crazy thing that happened. I mean that
- 5:40Speaker 3: was just something that just happened out of the blue,
- 5:42Speaker 3: and yeah, totally least expected. And so I just looked
- 5:45Speaker 3: at as ah it was. It was a blessing, and
- 5:48Speaker 3: so you know what, I'm just taking it one day
- 5:50Speaker 3: at a time.
- 5:50Speaker 1: So, yeah, that's a way, that's the best way to go, right, And.
- 5:53Speaker 3: Let me just take this opportunity to say to both
- 5:56Speaker 3: of you, I'm happy that you have found love and
- 5:58Speaker 3: that is enduring and then its lasting and you both
- 6:02Speaker 3: look very happy. You have that love glow, and so
- 6:07Speaker 3: I'm happy to see that for both of.
- 6:10Speaker 1: You so much.
- 6:14Speaker 4: That's very sweet.
- 6:15Speaker 2: Okay, so recently you were out and about and you
- 6:21Speaker 2: got recognized, but as someone else. Can you tell that
- 6:27Speaker 2: story that you shared about on social media?
- 6:31Speaker 3: Okay? Yeah, so that was so that was that was
- 6:35Speaker 3: actually in New York, okay, and just walking around and
- 6:40Speaker 3: and this lady just happened to kind of give my
- 6:44Speaker 3: attention and she was like, hey, are you Are you
- 6:48Speaker 3: the rock? Sexy? So I was like, I was like,
- 6:52Speaker 3: uh so here's the aggressive New York woman. And I'm like,
- 6:56Speaker 3: you know what I mean, if I could pretend to
- 6:59Speaker 3: be the Rock and the Rock for a moment and
- 7:02Speaker 3: to see what it would be like to feel that
- 7:04Speaker 3: kind of fan adoration is like, you know what I'm
- 7:06Speaker 3: gonna I'm gonna milk this baby as much as I can.
- 7:08Speaker 3: And so, uh, it was. It was a great moment.
- 7:12Speaker 3: I mean, she was just I mean, she really thought
- 7:13Speaker 3: that I was the Rock and I just went with it,
- 7:15Speaker 3: and you know, I just you know, we just had
- 7:18Speaker 3: a really really nice moment. It was fun and it
- 7:21Speaker 3: made me feel special and I'm pretty sure she felt special.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Too, so that I love that. I love that, and
- 7:28Speaker 1: I'm sure the rock would like it too, you know, because.
- 7:30Speaker 5: You're kind of person so the rock would be like,
- 7:35Speaker 5: oh that's good man.
- 7:36Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, And you know what is that's not That's
- 7:38Speaker 3: not the first time I've heard that. So there have
- 7:40Speaker 3: been a couple of occasions. Yeah, there have been a
- 7:41Speaker 3: couple occasions. If I'm walking into like I think there
- 7:45Speaker 3: was like a retail mall area location a couple of
- 7:49Speaker 3: years ago, and to add some glasses on and get
- 7:50Speaker 3: out of the car and someone just pointed their finger
- 7:53Speaker 3: at me, like, oh my god, I think that's the
- 7:55Speaker 3: rock you know. So uh so, I so I've heard
- 7:58Speaker 3: it before, but so yeah, it's been pretty crazy.
- 8:02Speaker 5: Yeah, it's funny when that happens because you're like, you know,
- 8:04Speaker 5: do I tell him? I mean, I was actually just
- 8:07Speaker 5: just to share a personal story. So I was walking
- 8:10Speaker 5: up to the Kentucky Derby one year with a buddy
- 8:14Speaker 5: of mine who is also really good friends with Matt Liinert.
- 8:18Speaker 1: And his name's Nick lache right, so everyone knows who Nickolachai.
- 8:22Speaker 5: So we're walking up and we're talking and all of
- 8:24Speaker 5: a sudden I get pulled aside by ESPN and they
- 8:26Speaker 5: start talking to me, and you know, and I always
- 8:28Speaker 5: do a bunch of interviews.
- 8:28Speaker 1: At Derby, so that didn't seem unusual to me.
- 8:31Speaker 5: And midway through the interview the questions they're asking me,
- 8:35Speaker 5: I'm like, wait, do you guys think I'm Matt Liner
- 8:38Speaker 5: right now? And they go and I'm like, yeah, I'm
- 8:42Speaker 5: Matt's friend. I'm Bob from the Bachelor, And literally the
- 8:46Speaker 5: girls that were standing there go, we told you. Apparently
- 8:49Speaker 5: the guy was like, no, that's Matt Leiner. And so
- 8:52Speaker 5: recently gets asked, you know, do you ever have any
- 8:56Speaker 5: celebrity doppelgangers?
- 8:57Speaker 1: And he's like, that's my boy, Bob Guiney.
- 8:59Speaker 5: As he's getting asked for going on you know, the
- 9:02Speaker 5: Saturday Bard and Sports show. So I thought it was
- 9:04Speaker 5: pretty funny. And that's that's happened to me a lot.
- 9:07Speaker 5: I mean, you know that one, that one, and then
- 9:09Speaker 5: Will Ferrell I've gotten a bunch back in the day.
- 9:11Speaker 4: Too, Will Fair we were both much younger.
- 9:15Speaker 1: We were both much younger. Yeah, how about you, Trista,
- 9:18Speaker 1: you ever get you ever get mistaken for anybody? Yeah?
- 9:21Speaker 4: I used to get mistaken for Elizabeth Hurley.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Oh interesting, Okay, I know.
- 9:28Speaker 4: I think just the shape of our face, I really don't.
- 9:30Speaker 4: I don't know. And then Jenny Garth.
- 9:34Speaker 1: I could see Jenny Garth for sure.
- 9:36Speaker 2: Yeah, Nicole Kidman Coley, which is like in a certain
- 9:43Speaker 2: like if my hair's done a certain way where you
- 9:45Speaker 2: can't tell that it's not like her.
- 9:47Speaker 3: Color, you know, yeah, it might be your it might
- 9:50Speaker 3: be your profile. I think something like, yeah.
- 9:52Speaker 4: Yeah, something like that. I don't know.
- 9:55Speaker 2: And then oh gosh, there's another one. Oh what was
- 10:00Speaker 2: I can't I will not be able to remember her name.
- 10:02Speaker 2: But yeah, I mean I've gotten quite a few Ryan
- 10:05Speaker 2: has gotten and I actually think this is pretty spot on.
- 10:10Speaker 4: Is Dennis Quaid?
- 10:12Speaker 5: Oh yeah, I can see that. I could see a
- 10:15Speaker 5: young a young obviously much younger, you know, much younger.
- 10:18Speaker 4: Dennis Quid, But yes, yes, much younger.
- 10:21Speaker 1: You know I've gotten.
- 10:22Speaker 5: I've gotten Ryan Reynolds before he had ABS, I got
- 10:24Speaker 5: Ryan Reynolds.
- 10:29Speaker 1: He's got as I would never be mistaken for him.
- 10:31Speaker 1: But yeah, back in the day.
- 10:33Speaker 3: When I was, when I was, when I was much younger,
- 10:37Speaker 3: I got mistaken for or people would say I would
- 10:39Speaker 3: resemble young Muhammad Ali.
- 10:41Speaker 1: So oh wow, I could see that too.
- 10:44Speaker 4: They totally see that. Oh can you do any impressions
- 10:50Speaker 4: by talking.
- 10:51Speaker 3: About Fraser, Joe Frase of this Jr. Phrase of that.
- 10:54Speaker 3: Come on, Joe Fraser, I got something here for you.
- 10:57Speaker 1: That is so good. That's so it is so good.
- 11:01Speaker 5: Oh my gosh, Jonathan Rone, you are a man of
- 11:04Speaker 5: many talents, Sir.
- 11:05Speaker 1: I like this. I like this, see this guy on this.
- 11:09Speaker 5: Guy on the Golden Bach like he would he would
- 11:11Speaker 5: crush it.
- 11:11Speaker 1: I'm telling you you.
- 11:12Speaker 4: Would crush it. Bob. What about you? Can you do impression?
- 11:26Speaker 4: I can't, so don't even ask me. Yeah.
- 11:29Speaker 5: Although although the kind of the comedy is the whole
- 11:32Speaker 5: Will Ferrell thing, which I thought was really funny was
- 11:34Speaker 5: I was working a red carpet many years ago for
- 11:37Speaker 5: some movie premiere that he was doing, and I at
- 11:41Speaker 5: that time I loved being the guy interviewing people on
- 11:44Speaker 5: the red carpet, you.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Know, like they I'd have to walk it still.
- 11:46Speaker 5: But then I get like TV guy channel or someone
- 11:48Speaker 5: to hire me to actually let me do the interviewing.
- 11:50Speaker 5: And Will was walking through the thing and I was like, Okay,
- 11:53Speaker 5: I'm just gonna I'm gonna put it to him today.
- 11:55Speaker 1: I'm gonna basically ask him, you know, like, do you
- 11:57Speaker 1: do you ever get confused for me? You know? And
- 11:59Speaker 1: I thought it'd be so funny.
- 12:01Speaker 5: And as he walks up, he takes the steam away
- 12:04Speaker 5: from me because he goes, well, well, well if it
- 12:06Speaker 5: isn't my old buddy, bachelor bobb, he goes, listen to me, buddy,
- 12:10Speaker 5: I need to hire you because my wife and I
- 12:12Speaker 5: are not getting along right now, and I think if
- 12:14Speaker 5: you spend a couple of days at my house, she
- 12:15Speaker 5: won't even know I'm out of time or something.
- 12:17Speaker 1: I was like, I'm like, it took my whole thing.
- 12:20Speaker 1: That's how I's gonna talk to you about.
- 12:22Speaker 4: So good.
- 12:23Speaker 1: He is so good, so good, and he was so anny.
- 12:27Speaker 1: I mean it was so good. Yeah.
- 12:29Speaker 3: Good.
- 12:30Speaker 1: So I don't have any impressions, but I got that
- 12:32Speaker 1: story at least.
- 12:33Speaker 2: So that's okay, that's okay, okay. So obviously we all
- 12:37Speaker 2: got to know you. I'm saying, we all, like the
- 12:39Speaker 2: general population, got to know you, Jonathan on the Golden
- 12:44Speaker 2: How was the experienced overall for you? And are there
- 12:47Speaker 2: any regrets that you have from the show.
- 12:50Speaker 3: Gosh, well, let me just first say there are no regrets.
- 12:54Speaker 3: I mean, this definitely has definitely been a blessing for me.
- 12:58Speaker 3: It's a surreal experience for me. I think you had
- 13:02Speaker 3: mentioned at one point I you had mentioned something about
- 13:06Speaker 3: kind of like a fairy tale kind of experience. To me,
- 13:09Speaker 3: it was like when everything started happening at the very beginning,
- 13:12Speaker 3: it was for me, it was almost like a taking
- 13:16Speaker 3: a magic carpet ride. You know, you could see those
- 13:18Speaker 3: you see those in Disney movies, and you know, just
- 13:21Speaker 3: getting on a magic carpet it has just taking you away.
- 13:23Speaker 3: That's kind of how I felt. It was like it
- 13:25Speaker 3: was just surreal, and from one conversation to another, and
- 13:31Speaker 3: you know, getting things ready, getting things packed, and getting
- 13:35Speaker 3: closer to the time that I was leaving Omaha to
- 13:38Speaker 3: fly out to La I'm just I was just sitting.
- 13:41Speaker 3: It was almost like an outer body experience, like is
- 13:44Speaker 3: this really really happening? And after watching so many shows
- 13:50Speaker 3: previous seasons of the Bachelor or a Bachelorette, I kind
- 13:53Speaker 3: of had an expectation of what the journey might be like.
- 13:56Speaker 3: And I think that I was think that I was
- 13:58Speaker 3: one of those guys is going to be competing or
- 14:01Speaker 3: or trying to, you know, be one of the suitors
- 14:04Speaker 3: for for one woman's heart made me feel really really good.
- 14:08Speaker 3: And you know, and to think that I was being seen,
- 14:11Speaker 3: that I was selected, that through all the processes and interviews,
- 14:16Speaker 3: that in the the gap in between of thinking like,
- 14:20Speaker 3: you know, they're not gonna pick me and blah blah
- 14:22Speaker 3: blah to the time that they actually said, you know,
- 14:25Speaker 3: would you like to be on the show. It was
- 14:29Speaker 3: a whirlwind experience and so uh, nothing, no regrets. I
- 14:34Speaker 3: just enjoyed every moment that I that I could. You know,
- 14:37Speaker 3: I lived each day, one day at a time, one
- 14:40Speaker 3: moment at a time, as much as I possibly can,
- 14:44Speaker 3: minute by minute, hour by hour, you know, and try
- 14:46Speaker 3: to be as as present as I possibly can. And
- 14:50Speaker 3: and so that's that's how I that's how I experienced
- 14:55Speaker 3: the journey, was just trying to be as present as
- 14:57Speaker 3: I possibly could. And and it was wonderful experience for me.
- 15:01Speaker 1: That's awesome.
- 15:02Speaker 4: And I think you did that.
- 15:03Speaker 2: It seems like you really embraced it and we're grateful
- 15:09Speaker 2: for it, you know. And those are the kind of
- 15:11Speaker 2: people that I'm really drawn to, are people who, yeah, same,
- 15:15Speaker 2: you know, just have that grateful heart for what's going
- 15:19Speaker 2: on and don't feel entitled, you know.
- 15:22Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, there's a certain degree of humility that I
- 15:25Speaker 5: think when I recognize in someone who's come off of
- 15:29Speaker 5: our show, you know that it makes me really drawn
- 15:32Speaker 5: to them as well.
- 15:33Speaker 1: I agree with you, Trista.
- 15:33Speaker 5: It's like some people go on there and think that,
- 15:35Speaker 5: you know, they're ben affleck when they come off, and
- 15:36Speaker 5: that just really drives me bananas. But the people that
- 15:39Speaker 5: go on there and are like, oh my god, this
- 15:40Speaker 5: is just amazing. I love the whole experience. I had
- 15:42Speaker 5: a great time. Like for me, I mean, you know,
- 15:44Speaker 5: I think of Trista's season like it was yesterday and
- 15:47Speaker 5: it was twenty some years ago.
- 15:48Speaker 1: Now.
- 15:49Speaker 5: I still have lifelong friendships obviously with Trista and Ryan,
- 15:52Speaker 5: but also with some of the guys that I went
- 15:54Speaker 5: through the experience with who I then brought along with
- 15:57Speaker 5: me on The Bachelor. You know, did you have that, Jonathan?
- 16:00Speaker 5: Did you make some great friendships with guys on the
- 16:02Speaker 5: show as well? Oh?
- 16:04Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, I think I think with each of
- 16:06Speaker 3: the guys, I you know, I have a friendship with
- 16:08Speaker 3: each of them in our own kind of unique way.
- 16:10Speaker 3: But there have been a there have been a few
- 16:12Speaker 3: guys that, you know, I've been in touch with more
- 16:14Speaker 3: on a kind of regular basis, you know, whether that's
- 16:16Speaker 3: either you know, through a text message or even through
- 16:19Speaker 3: the group chat that we've kind of developed. But you
- 16:22Speaker 3: know what I I mean, Mark and I have been
- 16:25Speaker 3: you know, we've exchanged conversations here and there, and you know, Mark,
- 16:29Speaker 3: there was something about Mark that my connection with Mark
- 16:32Speaker 3: was there was there was something there. I think it
- 16:34Speaker 3: was almost like a kindred spirit that I felt with him.
- 16:38Speaker 3: The fact that we were in the same room, the
- 16:41Speaker 3: fact that we were on the top top bunks, you know,
- 16:45Speaker 3: the fact that he laid you know, he he saw
- 16:48Speaker 3: something to surprise me with those posted notes in my
- 16:52Speaker 3: coffee cup one morning cut you know, and so uh
- 16:55Speaker 3: so yeah, so so Mark has been there, talked with Pascal.
- 17:00Speaker 3: Gary is a is a big influencer, and you know,
- 17:03Speaker 3: and I just love Gary's laugh. I miss Gary's laugh.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Yeah about Gary earlier? How much we love that guy.
- 17:10Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, absolutely.
- 17:12Speaker 1: Well that's awesome.
- 17:14Speaker 2: I don't know, I feel like this was probably like
- 17:18Speaker 2: a rumor or something that I heard that Pascal might
- 17:21Speaker 2: be Golden Bachelor next.
- 17:24Speaker 4: If it's not you, who would you want it to be?
- 17:28Speaker 3: Gosh, if it's not me. You know, Pascal would be
- 17:37Speaker 3: good at Pascal would be good in the role, you know,
- 17:39Speaker 3: because you know, he's he's got you know, he's he's Pascal.
- 17:42Speaker 3: He's got that yeah, that kind that kind of playboy
- 17:47Speaker 3: kind of like you know, Aurrah. He's got the confidence,
- 17:50Speaker 3: he's got the money, he's got the you know, and
- 17:53Speaker 3: you know it's and it's like, you know what, if
- 17:55Speaker 3: he's looking for love, he's not looking for anything that's
- 17:57Speaker 3: going to be you know, superficial. And so I think
- 18:00Speaker 3: if he's in that position, he you know, outside of
- 18:03Speaker 3: all the exterior things that people associate with Pascal, you know,
- 18:07Speaker 3: there's a sensitive heart inside of him. And I think
- 18:10Speaker 3: that if he found found the right connection on that journey,
- 18:13Speaker 3: I think that would be really good for him. And
- 18:16Speaker 3: I thought about this too. It's like, you know what,
- 18:18Speaker 3: not think not thinking that well if if I'm not
- 18:21Speaker 3: the next good but but just speaking of my man Gary,
- 18:26Speaker 3: I think if Gary was in that that that position,
- 18:29Speaker 3: because he's so full of life that and he's so
- 18:33Speaker 3: deep and spiritual, and I think if there is a
- 18:36Speaker 3: woman that's on that journey that's looking for not just love,
- 18:40Speaker 3: but they're looking for a really good spiritual connection. You know.
- 18:44Speaker 3: I think Gary would be in that that position too,
- 18:47Speaker 3: you know, to uh to find that right woman that
- 18:51Speaker 3: he would connect with.
- 18:52Speaker 5: And so yeah, that's great. Yeah, I love Gary too.
- 18:56Speaker 5: I was thinking, you know, Gary would be really fantastic
- 18:59Speaker 5: in that role. I haven't met Pascal Pasqual yet, but
- 19:03Speaker 5: but I remember him from the show and thought, you know,
- 19:06Speaker 5: you know, he is very charismatic and you know so,
- 19:08Speaker 5: but so many of you guys on the show where.
- 19:10Speaker 3: Well, Bob, I'm sorry. One thing, one thing I will
- 19:12Speaker 3: have to tell you though. If you do talk to Pascal.
- 19:18Speaker 4: Yeah, you better not. You better not say his name wrong.
- 19:20Speaker 1: He doesn't like the name like Bob. I mean, I
- 19:24Speaker 1: got it easy, right. You can't mess min You mess
- 19:28Speaker 1: mine up.
- 19:28Speaker 5: You're looking for a fight, right, So I think, yeah, okay,
- 19:33Speaker 5: I'll forget.
- 19:46Speaker 2: So before you got on, Jonathan, Bob and I were
- 19:50Speaker 2: talking about paradise. If they had a golden paradise, would
- 19:55Speaker 2: you go on Paradise?
- 19:58Speaker 3: I thought about that and I think, you know, I
- 20:02Speaker 3: I would probably pass on the Golden Paradise, you know,
- 20:06Speaker 3: I mean, you know, other than like you know, being
- 20:09Speaker 3: on an exotic beach or wherever. That might be. I mean,
- 20:12Speaker 3: that would be great, but it's like you know, when
- 20:14Speaker 3: I when I started the journey for the Golden Bachelorette,
- 20:20Speaker 3: you know, I had one I had one purpose in mind.
- 20:22Speaker 3: It was to see if I have found love with
- 20:24Speaker 3: one woman, if that was a connection. And I think
- 20:27Speaker 3: the Golden Paradise is kind of an extension of like, well,
- 20:30Speaker 3: you didn't fall in love, and so let's kind of like,
- 20:32Speaker 3: you know, have have a party and hang out and
- 20:35Speaker 3: have this big reunion. And for me, I think there
- 20:38Speaker 3: would be something there that I think that I would
- 20:41Speaker 3: the authentic authenticity that I would have. I don't think
- 20:45Speaker 3: that I would be as present there in that situation.
- 20:49Speaker 5: So good self evaluation, I think. You know, I really
- 20:53Speaker 5: don't yah, because I don't think I would have done it.
- 20:56Speaker 5: You know, I don't if I if I wouldn't have
- 20:57Speaker 5: been the bachelor.
- 20:58Speaker 2: Guy, you would have no Jonathan. I don't know about Bob,
- 21:04Speaker 2: but he was known as the kissing band.
- 21:11Speaker 1: Trista. Here's why I wouldn't do it. There's a level
- 21:14Speaker 1: of gamesmanship that goes on there that scares me.
- 21:18Speaker 5: Like when they called when they called me to do
- 21:21Speaker 5: what was the one that Jake Pavelka came back and
- 21:24Speaker 5: did go. It was before Bachelian Paradise. It was bach
- 21:27Speaker 5: besher Pad and they called me and they were like
- 21:29Speaker 5: I was single and they called me and they're like,
- 21:32Speaker 5: you know, we uh, we'd love to have someone who
- 21:34Speaker 5: was actually a lead be in the mansion.
- 21:37Speaker 1: And I I thought they meant to host it.
- 21:39Speaker 5: So I was like, I go, okay, well, you know
- 21:42Speaker 5: at the time, I forget I was hosting something, and
- 21:44Speaker 5: I go, well, you know, I guess we could work
- 21:45Speaker 5: that out or whatever. And then they're like, oh, no, no, no,
- 21:48Speaker 5: Chris is going to host it.
- 21:50Speaker 1: We want you to be on it.
- 21:52Speaker 5: And I'm like, like, like in it, like yeah, I'm
- 21:55Speaker 5: like hell no, and they're like, wait, yeah, I go,
- 21:58Speaker 5: there's no way.
- 21:59Speaker 1: I go, there's actually no I would do that, and
- 22:00Speaker 1: they're like why.
- 22:00Speaker 5: I'm like, because this is not The Bachelor, this is
- 22:03Speaker 5: Survivor meets the Bachelor. And I go and I will
- 22:07Speaker 5: think everyone's my friend and they'll be stabbing me in
- 22:09Speaker 5: the back and it'll break my heart.
- 22:10Speaker 1: I can't do it.
- 22:11Speaker 5: I'm like, I just can't do it, so truly, I
- 22:13Speaker 5: think I I when they asked me that, I was
- 22:16Speaker 5: like absolutely not, and and I would have done the
- 22:19Speaker 5: same thing had they asked me for Bachelor in Paradise
- 22:21Speaker 5: because I still feel like there's still that level of
- 22:24Speaker 5: some cunning, you know, gamesmanship, and I just I can't.
- 22:28Speaker 1: I don't function that way, you know, like I would.
- 22:30Speaker 5: I would get played by everybody, and I would just
- 22:33Speaker 5: trust everyone too much.
- 22:35Speaker 1: So that's why you're right now. It was when I
- 22:37Speaker 1: was you know, yes, I was the kissing.
- 22:41Speaker 5: I own that one, but I don't think I could handle,
- 22:44Speaker 5: you know, the gamesmanship element of it.
- 22:46Speaker 1: I would just cast it.
- 22:47Speaker 4: Yeah, got it.
- 22:48Speaker 2: Yeah, Well we'll see, Jonathan, we were saying, I was,
- 22:52Speaker 2: I was saying that I don't think they will do
- 22:55Speaker 2: a Golden Bachelor in Paradise yet because there's not enough
- 22:59Speaker 2: seasons to draw cast from.
- 23:01Speaker 4: So I think we've.
- 23:02Speaker 2: Got some time, so I don't think it's coming tomorrow.
- 23:05Speaker 2: But but yeah, no, I love your answer. I love
- 23:10Speaker 2: that you could say no. You know, I think it's
- 23:12Speaker 2: so important after the show. There's so many opportunities for
- 23:17Speaker 2: people on this show, and I think it's really important
- 23:21Speaker 2: to evaluate what you're really wanting to get out of
- 23:26Speaker 2: life and experiences after the show, and if it's not
- 23:29Speaker 2: for you then say no, don't just always be the
- 23:32Speaker 2: yes person, like actually really think about it, because it
- 23:36Speaker 2: could change your life and not the best way, you
- 23:38Speaker 2: know sometimes.
- 23:39Speaker 1: So right right?
- 23:40Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, And I think too, is you know
- 23:43Speaker 3: that the word authentic or inauthentic? I think you know,
- 23:47Speaker 3: for me, the journey with the Golden Bacheloread was as
- 23:51Speaker 3: authentic as I could possibly be. And I think that
- 23:55Speaker 3: if the viewers or the fans got that perception of me,
- 24:00Speaker 3: of my authenticity, I think that by me making the
- 24:04Speaker 3: choice to do the Golden Bachelor of Golden Bachelor in
- 24:08Speaker 3: Paradise would probably they would probably go take a second
- 24:12Speaker 3: look as like, well, maybe he's not as authentic as
- 24:14Speaker 3: we thought that he was, because I because I think
- 24:17Speaker 3: that I would. Yeah, like I said earlier, I don't
- 24:19Speaker 3: think that I would be as authentic in trying to
- 24:22Speaker 3: find one love.
- 24:23Speaker 5: You know.
- 24:23Speaker 4: Yeah, no, I get that. Okay, we've got a wrap.
- 24:27Speaker 2: But Jonathan, it has been such a pleasure and an
- 24:30Speaker 2: honor to have you on the almost famous o G podcast.
- 24:33Speaker 4: Thank you so much? And where can people find you?
- 24:38Speaker 3: Where can people find me? Yeah? See, well if people
- 24:42Speaker 3: can't don't want to come to Oakland, isle of it
- 24:44Speaker 3: to hang out.
- 24:49Speaker 1: They want to come to Oha, right, I love it.
- 24:51Speaker 3: Right right right? Yeah, other than Oakland, Iowa. You can
- 24:55Speaker 3: find me on my Instagram Jonathan dot m dot Rohan
- 25:00Speaker 3: because well too, and so those are there's open and
- 25:04Speaker 3: so yeah, that's where you can find me.
- 25:07Speaker 1: Well, thank you so much, buddy. We appreciate it's a
- 25:08Speaker 1: pleasure meeting you.
- 25:09Speaker 3: And oh you know what I've got to say this
- 25:11Speaker 3: this is yes, I have a picture of my mother
- 25:14Speaker 3: that's the right right in front of me, and and
- 25:16Speaker 3: so this this would this will be perfect. Okay. So
- 25:20Speaker 3: so Tristy, you have to ask me again. So Jonathan,
- 25:22Speaker 3: where can people find you? This is something that my
- 25:25Speaker 3: mother probably would have told me.
- 25:27Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, okay, Jonathan, So where can people find you?
- 25:31Speaker 3: People can find me in my skin?
- 25:34Speaker 1: Oh you go. That was so funny.
- 25:38Speaker 3: Whenever whenever I would whenever my I would ask my
- 25:41Speaker 3: mom where somebody was, she goes, oh, well he's in
- 25:43Speaker 3: his skin.
- 25:46Speaker 5: There we go, like, have a great day, all right, guys.
- 25:53Speaker 1: Take
