- 0:00Speaker 1: Well, hey, it's me Quick little nugget here.
- 0:08Speaker 1: Haven't really had my take.
- 0:10Speaker 1: But about the College World Series, game two of the College World Series, florida State's first game against Tennessee was a doozy 12-11 Tennessee with the walk-off win.
- 0:22Speaker 1: A doozy 12-11 Tennessee with the walk-off win.
- 0:24Speaker 1: But man, missed opportunities and missed calls on the umpires will be the story of this game.
- 0:36Speaker 1: But Tennessee, you know credit to them on the comeback.
- 0:40Speaker 1: But the game should have been over.
- 0:42Speaker 1: There was a strike called Well, not called.
- 0:46Speaker 1: He have been over.
- 0:46Speaker 1: There was a strike called Well, not called.
- 0:47Speaker 1: He clearly went around.
- 0:48Speaker 1: I think it was a strike.
- 0:48Speaker 1: There was K zone up.
- 0:50Speaker 1: I don't see why they don't even go to that.
- 0:53Speaker 1: And that's what I want to talk about.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Is baseball umpiring?
- 1:01Speaker 1: I hate it Sucks.
- 1:03Speaker 1: You know it's not part of it, shouldn't?
- 1:05Speaker 1: It's part of the game because it had to be part of the game.
- 1:07Speaker 1: In the 1800s they didn't have what they have today and every other sport uses it.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Baseball uses it, but only on certain things.
- 1:19Speaker 1: The balls and strikes thing with the umpires and how one umpire can have a different zone from the other umpire is ridiculous.
- 1:28Speaker 1: The strike zone should be something that's measured like the end zone is in football, you know you can review it or it's in or it's out.
- 1:38Speaker 1: It's like tennis.
- 1:39Speaker 1: Tennis has it done perfectly.
- 1:41Speaker 1: That's how the strike zone should be.
- 1:44Speaker 1: You can have a judge there.
- 1:45Speaker 1: You should have an umpire still behind the plate.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Even to like.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Read it.
- 1:49Speaker 2: read what it said I'm fine with him still continuing to call balls and strikes no, I like to know.
- 1:56Speaker 1: I think k zone needs to come.
- 1:57Speaker 1: There's too many.
- 1:58Speaker 1: There's too many inconsistencies.
- 2:00Speaker 1: You can't have it.
- 2:02Speaker 2: It's it, it's, it's just nostalgia but what we're talking about here is like whether or not I'm talking about all of it, the guy swung yes, I know, but I in in using that as the kickoff.
- 2:14Speaker 1: This little hot topic is more on the lines of replay and in baseball and and it's been something that's the k zone is just ridiculous.
- 2:24Speaker 1: When people can see it, hey, that's a strike and the guy's like ball or that's low, yeah, the point is because it's not on.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Yeah, it's on.
- 2:32Speaker 2: All right, because with the umpires I mean they're human and you watch them.
- 2:37Speaker 1: They position themselves differently depending on who the umpire is behind the catcher, and that is part of the game, because it has been and I think it needs to be upgraded.
- 2:47Speaker 1: I mean, you had the pitching clock, okay and especially, but now you can review everything.
- 2:54Speaker 1: And what was interesting, you know Link Jarrett even said he was talking about this back in September is why isn't that reviewable?
- 3:00Speaker 1: And, man, let me tell you, he seems to be in favor of it.
- 3:03Speaker 1: He wants to review everything when possible and I think that's just to know that we got it right.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Know that you win or lose with the evidence.
- 3:13Speaker 2: You know.
- 3:13Speaker 2: When they brought in replay to baseball, you know it was under the premise that we're not going to question the umpire's balls and strikes.
- 3:23Speaker 2: They did that just to kind of settle the umpires that were opposed.
- 3:28Speaker 2: But this isn't the judgment.
- 3:30Speaker 2: This is whether or not a guy swung Screw the umpires.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Yeah, screw them.
- 3:35Speaker 1: They don't need them.
- 3:36Speaker 1: If they have a problem with it, goodbye.
- 3:39Speaker 1: We don't need you, we have the rules of the game and we have the technology now where we can get somebody else to do it.
- 3:46Speaker 1: You said it, you just make that you don't change the rules.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Yeah, we don't need to show you, make you use the technology to what it's meant for and like that's don't.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Baseball has always been late to the party when it comes to these things because of that ego that you know that, oh, you know it's part of the game and it's like bro, balls and strikes like they're bearing on humans, it seems ridiculous.
- 4:13Speaker 1: And then having a guy that's 100 feet away from the plate, right that can make a call.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Well, you know, in 1848, when we didn't have anything to protect our heads and all we didn't have anything to protect our heads and all we didn't have cameras or anything like that.
- 4:26Speaker 1: That could be a quick review, that's why we did it that way.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Tech swings should be either an or kind of like the fault is or the let in tennis.
- 4:34Speaker 1: It should be one of those things where it's gone to.
- 4:36Speaker 1: When you have that camera angle which you do, which he's right about that, he's right about that there's a camera in the dugout.
- 4:42Speaker 1: If there is a camera in the dugout, like there is in the College World Series and every big league game and most every park anyway, that should be the rule where you just have that set up, where, if it's a check swing, you go to the camera operator, exactly, and that's what he was talking about.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Well and oh.
- 4:55Speaker 2: More than ever it never meant more.
- 5:01Speaker 2: You think of any other sport where it's all or nothing.
- 5:04Speaker 2: Did he score a touchdown, Did he break that plane or not?
- 5:09Speaker 2: It's not a 50-50.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Basketball did the ball go in the hoop?
- 5:13Speaker 2: It's not 50-50.
- 5:15Speaker 2: I don't understand.
- 5:17Speaker 2: Whether the guy swung or not is not 50-50.
- 5:20Speaker 2: It's one or the other.
- 5:21Speaker 1: That's a judgment call?
- 5:22Speaker 1: No, it's not a judgment call.
- 5:25Speaker 1: There's literally a rule.
- 5:25Speaker 1: It's just technology that defines it.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Right, if his, you know?
- 5:28Speaker 1: Yeah, there is.
- 5:29Speaker 1: There's a rule that defines it and it shouldn't it doesn't say discretion of umpire get your ego.
- 5:35Speaker 1: If you really want to make the game the ultimate competitive game, than it should be, you should want it to be fairly, objectively called as possible.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Game is always placated to the umpires more than any sport.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Um yeah, does their officials.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Yes, yes, and that, and, and that's why it's so maddening, you see, like because, oh the umpires, you know they're full time employees.
- 6:04Speaker 1: And'm not saying that what they do is but based on the technology, we don't need a left-field umpire, you know, in the postseason.
- 6:15Speaker 2: Right, you want to stand out at third base and watch third base and see if you don't need it.
- 6:21Speaker 1: Yeah, Maybe I mean it's hard.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Well, you have him on the field to see if he gets to the bag first.
- 6:26Speaker 1: You have to redo all of it.
- 6:28Speaker 1: But then what happens?
- 6:29Speaker 1: If there's, you know, I don't think you redo it, you just keep calling it, but you just make things more viewable, like if you have it, you just go to it you don't want to ever have, where everyone can see it, and then having the reason, well, it's just part of the game.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Well, that the more the technology can make that part of the game, the more people can see the inconsistencies that shouldn't be there and that's going to decide things.
- 6:59Speaker 1: I don't think that's right.
- 7:00Speaker 1: That's going to take the attention away from what it should be.
- 7:04Speaker 2: Should be too challengeable.
- 7:05Speaker 2: I don't two swing challenges.
- 7:09Speaker 1: I don't even think a swing challenge of the umpire can't.
- 7:13Speaker 1: Like if he wants to check the swing of the umpire does.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Like if he calls for it, it should automatically go to that camera shot that's right there at the dugout for each side and it should just be boom, he went or not have a camera shot of it?
- 7:26Speaker 1: Boom, it should be like a green light or a red light.
- 7:28Speaker 1: You could even do something like that.
- 7:29Speaker 1: They have miles per hour.
- 7:30Speaker 1: It could be worked in.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Something like that is not that hard when you think about the technology.
- 7:35Speaker 1: That's already there.
- 7:36Speaker 1: So you don't have to hear the guy saying at first, you know, I thought he definitely went and then 50-50.
- 7:43Speaker 1: 50-50, not based on the rule, I mean he went.
- 7:47Speaker 2: Somebody will lose in the championship.
- 7:50Speaker 2: I'm old school, though it would be a school with a lot more money than Florida State and a lot more people If that barrel gets out there and you decide to swing.
- 7:56Speaker 1: that's kind of like the art of the game.
- 7:58Speaker 1: That's the battle, I think he got bailed out and Tennessee got bailed up.
- 8:04Speaker 1: Now they still took advantage of that.
- 8:07Speaker 2: It was a great pitch.
- 8:08Speaker 1: They still did everything they had to do, and credit to them.
- 8:11Speaker 1: They're a killer lineup.
- 8:12Speaker 2: Oh yeah.
- 8:13Speaker 2: But, it's not about Tennessee.
- 8:19Speaker 2: You can't give a team like that a free I mean I feel like it.
- 8:23Speaker 1: I really do.
- 8:24Speaker 1: I hate seeing it, but if it was on the other side I wouldn't be apologizing, but I would be like, yeah, it's kind of they got a point.
- 8:30Speaker 1: And I'd be like, yeah, that is kind of messed up because.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Eventually it's coming Right, it'll be reviewable.
- 8:39Speaker 1: Well.
- 8:40Speaker 2: I doubt it'll be after this season, but some other.
- 8:43Speaker 2: Like I said, some other program will get screwed out of something and it'll be like wow man, lsu lost a ring on a real controversial call.
- 8:52Speaker 2: Maybe we should make it reviewable so it's not deciding the ultimate, well, that same guy got checks, won the next game for something far less.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that was comical.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, that's what I'm saying.
- 9:04Speaker 1: It's just like maddening that.
- 9:06Speaker 1: That's part of your game and, as now, with the betting, that's going to start to happen.
- 9:13Speaker 2: There you go.
- 9:14Speaker 1: You can say that, hasn't you know?
- 9:16Speaker 1: It's going to be more part of the game than ever I think there's still now's the time to make it as as objective as possible when it comes to eliminate human error that you got to eliminate as much human error as possible.
- 9:29Speaker 1: There's still going to be enough failure in baseball without the tennis guys have umpires there for to regulate, you know there's there's still a need for them to regulate the game, I guess, and you know, to keep the rules intact and to keep people from, you know, start throwing at people and stuff like that.
- 9:46Speaker 1: And but, as, when it comes down to those bang bang plays, when you have the ability to slow it down frame by frame, why not take advantage of that?
- 9:54Speaker 2: I'll be honest with you, man, if I was an umpire.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I want everybody to know that I screwed up.
- 10:02Speaker 2: I assume you make more if you're home plate on.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Well, they usually have a rotational, their own rotation.
- 10:09Speaker 1: They all do it.
- 10:09Speaker 1: You're all on their own.
- 10:11Speaker 1: I mean, I'm sure it's based on experience.
- 10:12Speaker 2: I wonder how many of them if you just voted anonymously, you don't just umpire second base.
- 10:16Speaker 2: I wonder if they were just like, if they could give them the choice to just give up having to do a home plate.
- 10:24Speaker 2: Well, I'm not saying you don't, you might need a home plate umpire.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Well, for some things Not for balls and strikes.
- 10:28Speaker 1: Not for balls and strikes, and balls and strikes is the part that it's been done so long.
- 10:35Speaker 1: It's the umpires like has their.
- 10:36Speaker 1: You know, that's just.
- 10:37Speaker 1: You have to get used to the adjustment there and if you, everybody has their own case on.
- 10:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:44Speaker 2: You know, it's hard, a lot of money going through that, through that game, through both both levels college and a pro.
- 10:55Speaker 1: I don't know if I ever see that.
- 10:56Speaker 2: Dude, those sec schools are spending big money on these programs.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Baseball.
- 11:01Speaker 1: I mean it's the one sport where the officials like an umpire you know you never see it in an NBA, like it pitches every pitch, so like they're involved in the game kind of more, so more than any other like sport that I kind of follow or have ever played, know, yeah.
- 11:18Speaker 1: So this would be a monumental shift.
- 11:19Speaker 1: It would, and that's why there's some a big upswing but it's, it's doable.
- 11:25Speaker 2: You couldn't really do it at, say, in the nba man.
- 11:27Speaker 1: You still gotta have definitely doable and it only, and you need to just ease it in.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Yeah, like, unfortunately, this needs to be the poster child.
- 11:36Speaker 1: This needs to be used in the offseason to be like hey, we need to incorporate check swings in a replay.
- 11:45Speaker 2: Yeah definitely.
- 11:46Speaker 1: I mean unfortunately for Florida State.
- 11:48Speaker 1: You have to be the guinea pig there.
- 11:49Speaker 1: But that needs to come I mean he's already talking about it and then it happens on the biggest stage in the sport.
- 11:58Speaker 1: There's going to be more behind that and that's not going to go away and hopefully you see that changed and it just you know.
- 12:06Speaker 1: You start with that and you make it better and I think in the long run it's going to make the game flow smoother.
- 12:13Speaker 1: More transparency is always better.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Look at tennis.
- 12:16Speaker 2: That's another thing.
- 12:17Speaker 2: Look at tennis as the number one example, as an excuse is.
- 12:19Speaker 2: Is you know, we don't want to slow the game down?
- 12:22Speaker 2: It's like, well, you know, like the game already slowed down enough with the amount of reviews of obvious.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Well, you got the pitching clock and that's a clock, a digital clock that's done by, like who sets that?
- 12:33Speaker 1: So that set, then you have, you have replays on everything everything right and you don't need, like I mean, an umpire.
- 12:42Speaker 1: You know what we pulled is like.
- 12:44Speaker 1: Well, you could review that and there would be like one guy down there just to like translate the calls.
- 12:49Speaker 2: And you can still have them out there.
- 12:50Speaker 2: You can still use field umps to just keep the game flowing.
- 12:53Speaker 2: I mean the obvious things that need to be Everything's reviewed.
- 12:56Speaker 1: You have another umpire that has final say, like the guy that can see it, and be like oh shoot, that was clearly like we're not going to go check swing to a guy way down here, down here, behind everyone.
- 13:08Speaker 1: Like what do you think, bill?
- 13:10Speaker 2: I don't know I.
- 13:11Speaker 2: What do you think, Bill?
- 13:12Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 13:12Speaker 2: I was looking at it.
- 13:14Speaker 2: He didn't swing.
- 13:14Speaker 2: No, he didn't swing.
- 13:16Speaker 1: Yeah, because I'm not going to end the game right now.
- 13:17Speaker 1: I've been right next to the Tennessee dugout.
- 13:20Speaker 2: Right, who knows what that guy just yelled at him as he was swinging.
- 13:23Speaker 2: He's like you.
- 13:24Speaker 2: Better not do it, oh dude he's had threats on both sides.
- 13:28Speaker 1: It would have probably been the same way on the other side, if he calls him out, but you can't make that call.
- 13:33Speaker 2: Link was hot man.
- 13:35Speaker 1: Because he went, he knew it, he knew it.
- 13:37Speaker 1: And with those guys they knew it.
- 13:40Speaker 2: It was a great pitch.
- 13:41Speaker 1: It was yeah.
- 13:43Speaker 1: The pitcher knew it.
- 13:44Speaker 1: He reacted as such.
- 13:46Speaker 2: A real umpire behind the plate would have called a strike.
- 13:48Speaker 2: You'd go like that.
- 13:49Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, he went, he went.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Just point at him and you say and you call out and you walk off immediately when you saw him and he did kind of if you look at the umber, he kind of put up that hand like oh yeah, I think it is, but he didn't have the ball.
- 14:02Speaker 2: They both bricked, they didn't want to be the guy they want to be the guy and they want to say hey, ended on the field.
- 14:07Speaker 1: But like I said before, umpiring because you don't use the replay has.
- 14:13Speaker 1: Imagine if that's in the K zone and it just strike three.
- 14:17Speaker 2: Well, it actually was, it is, I mean, part of it was in the K zone, but the guy had he hadn't been calling that a strike the whole night.
- 14:24Speaker 1: That's fine, that's fine, so that's two instances where you make the adjustment.
- 14:29Speaker 1: I don't like that.
- 14:30Speaker 1: I just don't like the idea of oh it's, we got it, we got a scout.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Now, oh, billy, or an old Ted's, you know, strike zone.
- 14:37Speaker 1: Now that's, that's part of this game now, based on everything that we've done.
- 14:41Speaker 2: We're just assuming that he's going to come in there with it Like he always does.
- 14:44Speaker 2: You know, he might get back there tonight and change his mind, that's what Pete Rose used to say.
- 14:51Speaker 1: He used to say that it's easier to hit in the big leagues because at least you get the best of the best Right.
- 15:02Speaker 2: Just saying the human element of it.
- 15:03Speaker 2: It's only going to get worse.
- 15:04Speaker 2: These are the best, best of college game College can give you.
- 15:08Speaker 1: It's still hard, man, that ball's coming in there damn near 100 miles an hour.
- 15:11Speaker 1: It's ridiculous, man, take a little pressure off hour.
- 15:15Speaker 1: It's ridiculous, man, take a little pressure off him.
- 15:16Speaker 1: It's ridiculous.
- 15:16Speaker 1: I don't think it's anywhere rigged or anything.
- 15:19Speaker 1: It just shows you the inconsistency still.
- 15:23Speaker 2: Right, the lack of oversight.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Transparency.
- 15:26Speaker 1: I want this in every sport.
- 15:30Speaker 1: I hate when the officials decide it it's okay Because that game, because if it wasn't for that, and say they doesn't throw that check swing and he ends up hitting it, then you can say hey, which still is true.
- 15:43Speaker 1: You know Florida State blew that game.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Jackson West not running, taking the free base home.
- 15:48Speaker 1: Well, they had plenty of opportunities, but they came back as well and made up for that.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Game was over.
- 15:54Speaker 2: Game was over.
- 15:55Speaker 2: Oxford did it.
- 15:56Speaker 2: You got the K, won the game.
- 15:58Speaker 1: But it did and it was a wasted opportunity.
- 16:01Speaker 2: I'll tell you what man Tennessee is an absolute machine.
- 16:03Speaker 1: Now you're going to have to beat them twice, and then that's if you can beat North Carolina, because we talked to you right before we're playing them.
- 16:11Speaker 1: Boston's your NBA champ.
- 16:16Speaker 1: They went 4-1 over Luca and the Mavs.
- 16:18Speaker 1: It was really no contest in the series, other than the one game where Boston kind of just let them have it.
- 16:24Speaker 1: But Brad Stevens did a hell of a job there creating the roster.
- 16:29Speaker 1: They dominated the whole season and they dominated in the playoffs.
- 16:33Speaker 1: When you look at the numbers, it's going to go down as one of the best teams and they have it set up where they're going to be the favorites.
- 16:42Speaker 1: Now.
- 16:43Speaker 1: You've had one team win the championship in each of the past six seasons, so it hasn't been any team.
- 16:51Speaker 1: But I think b Boston has a real chance here to set up maybe a new NBA dynasty here, based on just the amount of dudes they have on their team.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Good for old white guys who like basketball.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, my dad was a Celtics fan.
- 17:12Speaker 2: City of Boston needs a pro team to celebrate man.
- 17:15Speaker 2: They've had so few championships.
- 17:19Speaker 1: But credit to Brad Stevens man bringing in a guy like Drew Holiday, who's nothing but a.
- 17:25Speaker 2: I credit him for knowing his own limitations.
- 17:27Speaker 2: You know what?
- 17:28Speaker 2: I can't coach these guys, right?
- 17:29Speaker 2: These guys don't listen to me.
- 17:31Speaker 2: They don't respect me.
- 17:32Speaker 2: I'm a nerd Yep, that's just what they think of me.
- 17:33Speaker 2: These guys, right, these guys don't listen to me.
- 17:33Speaker 2: Yep, yep, they don't respect me.
- 17:34Speaker 2: I'm a nerd, yep, and that's just what they think of me.
- 17:35Speaker 2: So I'm just gonna move to the front office and they find like a former player guy.
- 17:40Speaker 1: Yeah, and what happened you know last season.
- 17:43Speaker 1: You saw him get completely outclassed by spolstra.
- 17:46Speaker 1: So he got him some older nerdy assistants this season to help him, you know because he's there, he's there to get the respect from the players and he got outcoached last season.
- 17:58Speaker 2: Players got it together.
- 18:00Speaker 1: No, but Stevens went out and hired new guys too.
- 18:03Speaker 1: On the staff.
- 18:03Speaker 1: And the player obviously what the main reason was.
- 18:07Speaker 1: He went and got Porzingis and then he went.
- 18:09Speaker 2: He got because he got rid of.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Marcus Smart, which was a fan favorite, but that was an alpha kind of personality without that alpha kind of game.
- 18:17Speaker 1: So you got rid of that and replaced it with a Mitch mismatch problem, as as Porzingis did, and a bring in a guy that's already been on the Olympics and drew holiday and a champion.
- 18:29Speaker 1: I mean, he's on the, he's on this year's Olympic team.
- 18:32Speaker 1: I mean, jalen Brown, too, is not even on the Olympic team.
- 18:36Speaker 1: So you got Tatum.
- 18:42Speaker 2: I mean, it's just set up like an old, like a bunch of really good players.
- 18:43Speaker 2: It will be interesting to see next year if they keep it rolling, oh man.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Derek White too.
- 18:46Speaker 1: I mean, justin's told you about Derek White.
- 18:48Speaker 1: He thinks he's the most dangerous player.
- 18:51Speaker 1: So credit to Brad Stevens, the NBA champion, boston Celtics.
- 18:55Speaker 1: But we were here talking about we had to go Umpires.
- 19:01Speaker 1: Alright, congratulations, Dad.
- 19:03Speaker 1: Your Celtics won your 18th championship.
- 19:05Speaker 1: Eighteen Well, we started this show talking about umpires.
- 19:09Speaker 1: That dang it.
- 19:12Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.
- 19:19Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 19:20Speaker 1: At one point in my life, in college, I umpired some high school games.
- 19:23Speaker 2: Hey coach, hey coach, keep it down, I'm going to run you.
- 19:25Speaker 1: Oh my God, I would have loved.
- 19:27Speaker 1: I mean now in high school.
- 19:28Speaker 1: You're not going to have that.
- 19:29Speaker 1: So I guess the argument is you don't want to teach the game.
- 19:33Speaker 1: But I would say then you would just have all the umpires go down to high school.
- 19:39Speaker 2: Seriously, and have the good umpires matriculate down.
- 19:49Speaker 2: That's where they appreciate the ump show anyway is the lower levels.
- 19:51Speaker 2: We're on TV, man, we got a three-hour time slot.
- 19:52Speaker 1: We can't hey listen, man, I had to be somewhere, so that strike zone got a little bit bigger, exactly.
- 19:57Speaker 2: Guys, it's 930.
- 20:00Speaker 1: I just wanted to do my little strike three.
- 20:02Speaker 2: I got three kids with homework.
- 20:05Speaker 1: I'm going to wrap this one up.
- 20:06Speaker 1: You see, leslie Nielsen and Naked Gun.
- 20:08Speaker 1: It's hilarious.
- 20:09Speaker 1: I mean that sums it up.
- 20:11Speaker 1: I mean you take these pro athletes and we're going to nope, I'm the star of the show, that's right.
- 20:18Speaker 2: You bought this ticket to see me.
- 20:21Speaker 1: Oh, man, but you know it's the College World Series.
- 20:25Speaker 1: What a great game that was, though, man yeah.
- 20:30Speaker 2: And Florida State beat Virginia.
- 20:33Speaker 1: UNC came up short against Tennessee, so now Florida State will play UNC it's going to be a toughie.
- 20:40Speaker 1: Winner of that game will have a chance to play Tennessee.
- 20:44Speaker 1: You'll have to beat them twice to win.
- 20:47Speaker 1: That's their side of the College World Series, which is now set up like a regional, two regionals and a super regional.
- 20:54Speaker 1: At the end, on the other side, florida, is in the same situation that the Noles are in.
- 20:59Speaker 1: They lost the first game, but they won the loser's bracket game against NC State.
- 21:04Speaker 1: What were they thinking?
- 21:05Speaker 1: Pitching to big man, you can't pitch to Jack.
- 21:08Speaker 1: No, he's just tearing the cover off, he just looks different.
- 21:11Speaker 2: Yeah, so they're going to play Tampa.
- 21:13Speaker 1: They're going to play Kentucky.
- 21:15Speaker 1: I'm telling you man, that's tomorrow night.
- 21:17Speaker 1: The wind's going to be different.
- 21:19Speaker 2: Best power hitters come out of Tampa, out of Tampa.
- 21:21Speaker 1: Yeah, well, we'll watch it, we'll react to the games, and then we got this, is it man?
- 21:28Speaker 1: Then we got yo, bryson DeChambeau, big time US Open.
- 21:32Speaker 1: We'll talk about that coming up too A lot to get to, but we wanted to talk about the fish game, which we hate to do.
