- 0:00Speaker 1: On the Lunai is part of the Odd Pods media network. Hi,
- 0:26Speaker 1: welcome to down the Lunai. We have a new friend
- 0:28Speaker 1: joining us today.
- 0:31Speaker 2: This is.
- 0:33Speaker 1: James mm hm is it Sharing Housen nailed it, yes, Yes,
- 0:40Speaker 1: nailed it in one long names. Yes, welcome friend.
- 0:44Speaker 3: Thank you. I obviously found you after you were in
- 0:49Speaker 3: a show that I saw called That's an Old Lady,
- 0:53Speaker 3: which was such a popular show it was brought back
- 0:56Speaker 3: right a couple of years later they did the production again.
- 0:58Speaker 3: You were in it both times, I think right.
- 1:00Speaker 4: Yes, yeah.
- 1:01Speaker 2: We first paced it in twenty nineteen and it completely
- 1:04Speaker 2: sold out at the Lincoln Hall, and so they wanted
- 1:06Speaker 2: to remount it. I proposed during Pride Month June. Yeah,
- 1:10Speaker 2: and it did well again.
- 1:12Speaker 4: Nice.
- 1:13Speaker 1: Wasn't that the name of a Golden Girls episode That's
- 1:15Speaker 1: No Later? I wonder if it was named after that.
- 1:18Speaker 3: I think it is. I think we already did that episode,
- 1:21Speaker 3: didn't we did?
- 1:23Speaker 1: That was No Lady? Yeah, episode fourteen, season one.
- 1:26Speaker 4: Yeah, huh?
- 1:28Speaker 1: Did you have Golden Girls in your play?
- 1:30Speaker 2: We did not? Okay, no, it's actually a direct quote
- 1:33Speaker 2: from Walter slash Darcel.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Yeah, Now, and have you read the book that the
- 1:41Speaker 3: author had written about I met Darcel before I know
- 1:45Speaker 3: who Darcel was, and my mom and dad had been
- 1:47Speaker 3: talking about it, and very sadly, we had tickets for
- 1:51Speaker 3: like the day or two before he passed, and so
- 1:55Speaker 3: my mom and dad never got to go to the
- 1:57Speaker 3: show where and meet Darcel.
- 1:59Speaker 4: Oh.
- 2:00Speaker 3: I met Darcel at the AIDS Walk one year. He
- 2:03Speaker 3: was there with Poison Waters and someone else and they
- 2:07Speaker 3: were all just lovely. And then my mom was very
- 2:10Speaker 3: mad at me because I came home and said, I
- 2:13Speaker 3: met this guy. I think his trying's name is Darcel,
- 2:18Speaker 3: and she was like, because I'm not from None of
- 2:22Speaker 3: us were transplants here, so I didn't live up here.
- 2:25Speaker 3: And then I did. My company was doing the AIDS Walk,
- 2:28Speaker 3: and I was like, oh, I did that when I
- 2:29Speaker 3: lived in California. Let's do it. Anyway, long story short,
- 2:32Speaker 3: too late. I then saw you in this amazing play
- 2:34Speaker 3: which you were incredible in You Thank you. I know
- 2:38Speaker 3: the play was about Darcel and Walter Cole's life, but
- 2:42Speaker 3: you literally stole the show in that. I mean you.
- 2:47Speaker 3: He is so charismatic and so my family was like,
- 2:52Speaker 3: he was amazing. He's never gonna be it. He's so good.
- 2:55Speaker 3: He's good. Right, he's busy, he won't have time for
- 2:57Speaker 3: your show. That was our conversation when I first like
- 3:00Speaker 3: reached out, and then Kristen, do you want to talk
- 3:04Speaker 3: about Pinocchio?
- 3:07Speaker 4: Oh, Pinocchio?
- 3:08Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:09Speaker 5: I had looked up your IMDb. Who wasn't stocking per se.
- 3:12Speaker 3: I was just curious.
- 3:13Speaker 5: Oh, sure, I saw that you had been in the
- 3:16Speaker 5: art department for Jomo del Toro's Pinocchio.
- 3:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:21Speaker 5: I thought that was really interesting. What was that like?
- 3:23Speaker 2: Oh gosh, what a broad question that. So I've primarily
- 3:29Speaker 2: worked in the theater and haunted house industries for most
- 3:32Speaker 2: of my life, and so I did kind of a
- 3:35Speaker 2: hard pivot in twenty nineteen to the stop motion animation industry.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Some friends were helping build out Shadow Machine, the studio
- 3:44Speaker 2: that the filming happened at, to just basically build the
- 3:48Speaker 2: desks to like make the movie happen, and the producers,
- 3:53Speaker 2: the management staff, they're all like, hey, we really like
- 3:55Speaker 2: working with you. The only role we have available is
- 3:58Speaker 2: a production assistant for the art department.
- 4:00Speaker 4: And I was like, this.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Sounds great, because at the time I was like, whatever,
- 4:04Speaker 2: full time sounds awesome. And then through the course of
- 4:07Speaker 2: the production, I became a coordinator for the art department,
- 4:10Speaker 2: which meant that I was handling every single asset that
- 4:12Speaker 2: went through that department. And if you don't know stop motion,
- 4:16Speaker 2: the art department, it's the sets, it's the landscapes. Like
- 4:23Speaker 2: if a character is holding a book, it's the book.
- 4:25Speaker 2: And with it being Pinocchio, of course there's Geppetto in
- 4:29Speaker 2: his workshop.
- 4:30Speaker 4: We had so many different kinds of mallets. I was
- 4:34Speaker 4: tracking mallets all the time.
- 4:37Speaker 2: It wasn't my official title, but I was essentially an
- 4:39Speaker 2: asset librarian, So I was tracking where different vehicles were,
- 4:44Speaker 2: where the different props, the scenic elements, all of that
- 4:48Speaker 2: was on any given stage, and where it was in
- 4:51Speaker 2: the production process to make sure that we were meeting
- 4:53Speaker 2: this schedule of the shoot.
- 4:55Speaker 5: Oh how cool that?
- 4:57Speaker 3: See that sounds that's take superior organ Yeah.
- 5:02Speaker 4: I'm still bad at Google sheets, still.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Bad at it.
- 5:07Speaker 2: No my favorite part. So like people are like, did
- 5:10Speaker 2: you meet Germou? And I was like, yeah, I actually
- 5:12Speaker 2: lovely human being. And the way that I met him
- 5:14Speaker 2: is that we were looked having some slime. Because if
- 5:16Speaker 2: you've seen the movie or if you haven't, there is
- 5:19Speaker 2: a scene that takes place inside of a giant. Most
- 5:22Speaker 2: people say, well, but it's We called it a dogfish,
- 5:25Speaker 2: and so we were looked a having some slime that
- 5:27Speaker 2: the characters have to interact with, and so I literally
- 5:29Speaker 2: had slime all over my hands when Germa walked into
- 5:32Speaker 2: the art office nice and.
- 5:34Speaker 4: I was like, look, it's slime. You just geeked out
- 5:40Speaker 4: with me overside.
- 5:42Speaker 1: That's pretty cool.
- 5:44Speaker 3: Hey, that's the best way to meet someone that you
- 5:47Speaker 3: hope is awesome is in a situation that's awesome, because
- 5:51Speaker 3: definitely can go the wrong Wayzily, you said something that
- 5:56Speaker 3: my spidy senses were tangling towards the end. So I
- 6:00Speaker 3: was a scared actor for seventeen seasons. It not scary farm. Yeah,
- 6:04Speaker 3: I played a lot of roles. I'm very into Halloween.
- 6:08Speaker 3: I have not gotten into any haunted events up here,
- 6:13Speaker 3: just for sheer laziness or the demands of my work.
- 6:16Speaker 3: But what did you do? And then I'm fascinated by
- 6:19Speaker 3: all of it? And I'm an artist on the side,
- 6:22Speaker 3: so I try to fabricate things they've seen some of
- 6:25Speaker 3: my random shit that I'll just be like, I made
- 6:27Speaker 3: this out of toothpicks and foam clay, what did you do?
- 6:31Speaker 3: Tell me everything?
- 6:34Speaker 4: Well?
- 6:35Speaker 1: Everything?
- 6:36Speaker 2: Wow, Well I typically start because people ask me like,
- 6:39Speaker 2: how did you get into haunted houses? How did you
- 6:41Speaker 2: get into this industry? And it started when I was three.
- 6:45Speaker 2: My mom was running a charity haunted house and she
- 6:47Speaker 2: couldn't find a babysitter one night, so she put me
- 6:49Speaker 2: in a cage and told me to cry at people.
- 6:53Speaker 2: I loved it.
- 6:55Speaker 4: I think I had more to do with that.
- 6:56Speaker 2: They were just like feeding me candy the whole time,
- 6:58Speaker 2: but apparently I loved it. And so over the years,
- 7:02Speaker 2: you know, with the various aspects of a haunted house,
- 7:05Speaker 2: I've learned the whole gamut, so carpentry, lighting design, sound design.
- 7:10Speaker 2: When I worked with the hanted house called House of Midnight,
- 7:12Speaker 2: I learned animatronics and the voltage wiring and so just
- 7:17Speaker 2: through the years, I've basically done the whole process. One
- 7:20Speaker 2: of the last major haunts I worked for was Fright
- 7:22Speaker 2: Town at the Motor Center and I was the technical
- 7:24Speaker 2: director and cast manager for that.
- 7:26Speaker 3: That's very cool.
- 7:27Speaker 4: So it Yeah, just over the years, I've done it all.
- 7:31Speaker 3: So spooky people, no, I look, I love it. I
- 7:34Speaker 3: think started to spoiling cafe listeners but we sort of
- 7:37Speaker 3: record a little bit like a soap opera here, and
- 7:38Speaker 3: that we record today is probably like already the end
- 7:43Speaker 3: of the month of December in for those of you listening.
- 7:47Speaker 3: But Haunt stuff is year round. You're working on that
- 7:50Speaker 3: stuff year round. I don't think people that don't work
- 7:53Speaker 3: in that industry realize that, but like they would tear
- 7:56Speaker 3: down at Knots and my friends would start building props
- 8:00Speaker 3: immediately for the next year's plans and stuff. It's an
- 8:03Speaker 3: incredible amount of work that goes into any of those
- 8:06Speaker 3: planning things. So what we've learned is that if we
- 8:08Speaker 3: ever get really famous, because we haven't promised that to
- 8:11Speaker 3: enough people, James should come on board and help us
- 8:15Speaker 3: be smart and make things.
- 8:16Speaker 1: That's oh hell, yeah, there we go.
- 8:19Speaker 3: We will never be rich because I have invited too
- 8:22Speaker 3: many people to join us, but we like good people here.
- 8:26Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Yeah, That's basically what I do with my shop is
- 8:30Speaker 2: I'm a props and scenic designer slash fabricator, So always
- 8:34Speaker 2: make it the cool stuff.
- 8:35Speaker 3: Yeah, very cool. At some point you may see my
- 8:38Speaker 3: tiny dog Abby, who is one of our producers of
- 8:40Speaker 3: the show as well. She will also talk to us
- 8:43Speaker 3: later which is always fun when I'm trying to make friends.
- 8:46Speaker 2: We have my.
- 8:46Speaker 3: Podcast to voice to have my dog.
- 8:50Speaker 1: Coming well, I mean he was on Avenue Q. He
- 8:51Speaker 1: knows about that, he gets it.
- 8:53Speaker 3: It's fine. Ye and I shared a rough day. I
- 8:56Speaker 3: tried to rescue a husky yesterday, And by try to,
- 8:58Speaker 3: I mean I owned a hog for two hours till
- 9:01Speaker 3: we found the owner and she was not pleased. So
- 9:03Speaker 3: she's not exactly wanting to come over here. But at
- 9:07Speaker 3: some point I'm sure both our dogs will say hi
- 9:09Speaker 3: to you. Christen's cat's bitch, so he's not gonna want
- 9:14Speaker 3: to say anything to you.
- 9:16Speaker 5: He's sleeping's daddy.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Yeah, do you have any pets, James?
- 9:21Speaker 2: I do?
- 9:22Speaker 3: Actually, what do you have?
- 9:23Speaker 2: So?
- 9:24Speaker 4: I have a dog.
- 9:25Speaker 2: She's I don't officially know what she is. She looks
- 9:28Speaker 2: like a pity mix and I don't officially know her
- 9:32Speaker 2: age either. I adopted her midlife I mean yes, yeah,
- 9:37Speaker 2: I'd say she's probably around eleven now, based off of
- 9:39Speaker 2: like most pity mixes like they live to be about
- 9:43Speaker 2: twelve to fourteen fourteen at the highest, and so she's
- 9:46Speaker 2: you know at that point where like her back legs
- 9:47Speaker 2: aren't as strong and so she's navigating life. She's so,
- 9:52Speaker 2: what I do is I have this old sleeping bag
- 9:54Speaker 2: that I just put in the closet and that's her den.
- 9:57Speaker 4: Like she likes to have a dark, closed space that
- 10:01Speaker 4: is like her.
- 10:01Speaker 1: They like just cuddle up.
- 10:03Speaker 2: Yeah, and so that's that's her safe space. So she's
- 10:07Speaker 2: in the bedroom right now to cut because otherwise she'd
- 10:10Speaker 2: be around my legs, like basically talking to me the
- 10:13Speaker 2: whole time. Yeah, she runs on anxiety.
- 10:18Speaker 3: Abby. It's so weird. Abby does too. Also, she drinks
- 10:23Speaker 3: out of tiny cups because she's so small. She's afraid
- 10:27Speaker 3: to like put her face in like a bowl of water.
- 10:30Speaker 3: She has been I guess, I don't know, I would look.
- 10:34Speaker 3: I don't know the answer to any of these questions.
- 10:37Speaker 3: But she's crazy. So she'll come over and she'll tap me,
- 10:39Speaker 3: and I'm like, what do you want tapping us for everything? So,
- 10:43Speaker 3: but when the dog was here yesterday, she was like
- 10:46Speaker 3: what but like tiny like that obviously had the weight
- 10:51Speaker 3: of a human. Bot she's like this big.
- 10:53Speaker 1: She's Aaron had a stranger dog yesterday. She helped find
- 10:57Speaker 1: her home.
- 10:59Speaker 3: I did a dog Sugar. Her name was Sugar Sugar.
- 11:05Speaker 3: She's been reunited with her mom.
- 11:08Speaker 4: That's sweet.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Yeah, James reminded me they like the nest, so I
- 11:10Speaker 1: put the blanket over his head. Now he's laying down happy.
- 11:14Speaker 1: He's a too.
- 11:16Speaker 3: Abby is definitely the smallest dog. And she's wearing a
- 11:21Speaker 3: shirt today that says what would Dolly do? But she
- 11:23Speaker 3: is passed out and staring out the window like you
- 11:26Speaker 3: don't live here and I'm not talking to you.
- 11:29Speaker 4: Also, what Dolly would do?
- 11:30Speaker 3: Yeah, I would just probably piss Dolly Barton off. And
- 11:35Speaker 3: she wouldn't want to look at me either, So.
- 11:39Speaker 1: That's fair.
- 11:40Speaker 3: That's fair.
- 11:42Speaker 4: To probably write a song with you with her nails.
- 11:44Speaker 3: Oh right, she'd be like, Okay, your dog's tapping sounds
- 11:49Speaker 3: like this.
- 11:51Speaker 5: I have no nails.
- 11:52Speaker 3: I have no nails right now, but I do very
- 11:54Speaker 3: often have a great audio gag, great audio gag. So good,
- 11:58Speaker 3: so good. All right, Jena, do you want to tell
- 12:01Speaker 3: us a little bit about the show that we do beforehand?
- 12:05Speaker 1: Okay, we're talking about season two, episode twenty four, which
- 12:09Speaker 1: is called to Catch a Neighbor. I really like this one.
- 12:14Speaker 3: It's one of my faves.
- 12:15Speaker 1: The original air date was May second, nineteen eighty seven,
- 12:19Speaker 1: directed by Terry Hughes, written by Russell Marcus Now based
- 12:24Speaker 1: off the name Kristen and James. What do you think
- 12:26Speaker 1: to catch a neighbor will be about?
- 12:29Speaker 2: I think it's going to be about the hot, attractive
- 12:32Speaker 2: neighbor that is so elusive, Like, no matter how many
- 12:35Speaker 2: times you try to start a conversation and meet up
- 12:37Speaker 2: with them, they always just oh gosh, they got to run.
- 12:40Speaker 2: Or right as they're walking through their car and getting
- 12:42Speaker 2: into the car, you're like, Hi.
- 12:44Speaker 4: Davie, I just want to give you this pie. They
- 12:48Speaker 4: drive away.
- 12:49Speaker 1: Not an eating pie, a different pie, a.
- 12:52Speaker 4: Different kind a cherry pie.
- 13:01Speaker 3: See. Okay, Now, if James was behind the script for
- 13:04Speaker 3: the because you guys, I forgot, I buried the lead.
- 13:06Speaker 3: I didn't. We'll talk about it still. At some point,
- 13:09Speaker 3: you guys went and saw the Golden Girls live thing.
- 13:11Speaker 1: Oh we've talked about next week.
- 13:12Speaker 3: Yeah, we'll talk about next week, all right, sweet, Yeah.
- 13:17Speaker 1: James, go see Golden Girls. The laughs continues.
- 13:19Speaker 3: It's so good. Oh my god, I should.
- 13:23Speaker 5: It'll be in Portland next on the fourteenth.
- 13:26Speaker 1: Yeah, you're in Portland, right.
- 13:28Speaker 2: Yeah, yes, I am in Portland, but busy, I'm oh man.
- 13:32Speaker 4: The Fourteen Books solid.
- 13:34Speaker 3: I haven't seen this and I haven't booked tickets because
- 13:40Speaker 3: I saw the one at Funhouse Lounge, okay, and fell
- 13:44Speaker 3: in love with it, and so I'm like, do I
- 13:46Speaker 3: want to interest? Like that's the gold standard for me
- 13:49Speaker 3: of anyway, whatever.
- 13:52Speaker 1: Christ, what do you think the episode will be about?
- 13:54Speaker 5: Well, my mind immediately goes to catch a thief. So
- 13:57Speaker 5: I'm thinking the neighbors stealing something, like they're mail or
- 14:02Speaker 5: something from the yard, and so they're trying to catch
- 14:04Speaker 5: the neighbor in.
- 14:05Speaker 1: The act stealing their lawn gnomes.
- 14:07Speaker 3: Yeah, maybe it's Maybe it's like that old lady that
- 14:12Speaker 3: died on them the one time. Maybe it's to catch
- 14:15Speaker 3: her doings.
- 14:17Speaker 4: She's like, as she's falling, just catching.
- 14:21Speaker 1: To catch your neighbor.
- 14:23Speaker 3: Oh my god. And I obviously know what it's about
- 14:26Speaker 3: because I wrote the trust Falls. But yeah, I'd like
- 14:28Speaker 3: to throw my hat in the race for this and
- 14:30Speaker 3: just tell you I think this episode is about the
- 14:33Speaker 3: neighbors doing trust falls with the Golden Girls.
- 14:36Speaker 1: I love it. I love it. Okay, Now, who of
- 14:40Speaker 1: the four girls do you think it will be the
- 14:43Speaker 1: hardest for Aaron to convince will be the villain of
- 14:46Speaker 1: the episode. Kristen and James, you come to an agreement
- 14:51Speaker 1: ooh before oh gosh or capitalism.
- 14:56Speaker 3: Yeah, we do have one regular guest that's basically like
- 14:59Speaker 3: our Stan, except a nice person. And you think it's Rose.
- 15:06Speaker 4: Well, I was like, what is the usual?
- 15:09Speaker 2: Is it? Is it? Oh?
- 15:10Speaker 3: Whatever? They try to pick what they think might be
- 15:12Speaker 3: hardest for me. So I do get Rose a lot
- 15:16Speaker 3: because she's so sweet, but she's shockingly prudish. Lot. She
- 15:22Speaker 3: canna be small town Judgie real quick.
- 15:25Speaker 1: So if that's who is that who you guys are picking?
- 15:28Speaker 4: No, what do you think, Kristin?
- 15:29Speaker 5: I'm okay with Rose. I think Sophia is going to
- 15:33Speaker 5: be a safty thing to the neighbors always, always, and
- 15:38Speaker 5: then Blanche could be hitting on them. So I think
- 15:41Speaker 5: Dorothy or Rose would be our best bet. So Rose
- 15:44Speaker 5: sounds good to me. Yeah, that's my thinking.
- 15:48Speaker 2: I've only seen Blanche be a villain a few times, like,
- 15:53Speaker 2: so it's not not as not as common.
- 15:55Speaker 3: I mean to be clear, I have to convince you
- 15:58Speaker 3: that this person it's the villain. They may not be
- 16:01Speaker 3: the villain.
- 16:03Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I'm.
- 16:10Speaker 3: Damn it.
- 16:11Speaker 2: I know you said that you do this all the time,
- 16:12Speaker 2: But like I'm genuinely curious.
- 16:14Speaker 5: She uses her power of persuasions.
- 16:16Speaker 1: She'll convince you, oh no, don't do it now.
- 16:22Speaker 3: It makes me sound like I'm the villain when you
- 16:24Speaker 3: say it that way. Wow, Hey, ladies and gentlemen. Kristen's
- 16:31Speaker 3: last day. We haven't said that this episode yet. So weird.
- 16:36Speaker 3: Kristen gets fired in Spirit Weekly. She went from not
- 16:43Speaker 3: talking when we first started because I, Gina and I
- 16:47Speaker 3: do a radio show that Gina is the co host
- 16:50Speaker 3: of I guest host, and then I had a bunch
- 16:53Speaker 3: of podcasts over the years. I still have probably too many.
- 16:57Speaker 3: Kristen's very quiet. She likes books. At first we were like,
- 17:00Speaker 3: fucking talk and now she's like, what's.
- 17:04Speaker 1: Up, fucking don't talk.
- 17:06Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm gonna sing you so bad you don't talk
- 17:08Speaker 3: to me after this. No, it's fine.
- 17:10Speaker 4: It's always a sneaker quiet ones.
- 17:12Speaker 1: I know we'll get you.
- 17:14Speaker 3: What's the lady on the news always talking about the
- 17:16Speaker 3: sneaker waves. It's her sneaker her sneaker zings. Anyway, all right, look,
- 17:22Speaker 3: we're gonna let you guys listen to some commercials and
- 17:27Speaker 3: you're gonna love them.
- 17:29Speaker 1: And yeah, thread you're gonna or else, God damn it.
- 17:38Speaker 3: Oh okay, we'll be right back.

- 18:01Speaker 7: We also talked about cocaine, hippos versus besgators, learn how
- 18:04Speaker 7: to make some tailgate gravy altercations with Texas Rangers, people
- 18:07Speaker 7: throw on recent peanut butter cups. Yeah. So check out
- 18:10Speaker 7: Grab the Risk at dot com for podcast info, viral
- 18:13Speaker 7: social media post, and so much more.
- 18:16Speaker 1: Welcome back. Yeah yeah, we went away and watched an
- 18:21Speaker 1: episode all together. We did it different this time.
- 18:24Speaker 3: It was fun.
- 18:25Speaker 5: It was a lot of fun.
- 18:26Speaker 3: It was fun. But there were no close captions, which
- 18:28Speaker 3: I'm still trying to figure that out, but.
- 18:30Speaker 5: You can turn them on on zoom.
- 18:32Speaker 1: Oh fuck me, I mean, no thing turning forward.
- 18:36Speaker 2: But sure, ye, well, what a.
- 18:39Speaker 1: Lovely time we just met him.
- 18:41Speaker 3: I know that's so common.
- 18:44Speaker 1: He's up for anything.
- 18:45Speaker 2: I'm all about customer service.
- 18:51Speaker 3: Oh god. Oh, I'm not saying for sure you're our
- 18:56Speaker 3: favorite guests, but I mean you're really creeping up.
- 18:59Speaker 1: There, Yeah, getting higher and higher. If he can muppet
- 19:03Speaker 1: flail during the quiz and he's played a puppet, Yeah.
- 19:08Speaker 3: If anyone could do a muppet flail, I think it
- 19:11Speaker 3: would be James.
- 19:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:12Speaker 8: Yeah, that's usually my cold open. It's just a muppet flail.
- 19:17Speaker 1: You're a you're on a hot date and you're like, hey, baby,
- 19:19Speaker 1: look at this.
- 19:21Speaker 2: As I sit down to the speed dating tables.
- 19:25Speaker 1: Look at all these numbers. I got.
- 19:28Speaker 3: Wait, I'm a dating wrong. I should be muppet flailing.
- 19:31Speaker 5: I didn't know.
- 19:34Speaker 3: I work with really uh rich awful people in insurance, James,
- 19:39Speaker 3: and I want you to know that I use muppet
- 19:42Speaker 3: flail as more of a descriptive word for how things
- 19:46Speaker 3: run behind the scenes at my company when I'm talking
- 19:49Speaker 3: to said rich people, because I'm like, the Muppets is
- 19:51Speaker 3: the one unifying thing that like, regardless of your socio
- 19:55Speaker 3: economic background, you've seen Kermit the Frog like flail his
- 19:59Speaker 3: little eyes and you get it. And so the amount
- 20:02Speaker 3: of time I spent talking about muppet flail is shockingly
- 20:06Speaker 3: high for how old I am.
- 20:08Speaker 1: I think it's what everyone knows what it means.
- 20:11Speaker 3: It's like the muppets will keep us together.
- 20:14Speaker 8: No, I use the puppet foil all the time. I
- 20:16Speaker 8: work in events, right, and so when people are freaking
- 20:19Speaker 8: out for what I deem is like no reason, I
- 20:22Speaker 8: just stand there silently flapping my arm.
- 20:26Speaker 2: Chaos. It's all chaos.
- 20:29Speaker 3: Oh my god, that's awesome.
- 20:31Speaker 1: Great, Wow, you're definitely welcome back here anytime. We've already excited.
- 20:35Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm glad that I forced you to be my friend.
- 20:38Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, at gunpoint?
- 20:40Speaker 3: Yeah, gun point.
- 20:43Speaker 1: I saw the man. She mailed him the gun and
- 20:47Speaker 1: said point this at yourself.
- 20:48Speaker 3: Well, to be fair, I live in in Beaverton, which
- 20:51Speaker 3: is on the cusp of or the edge of Portland,
- 20:53Speaker 3: so I probably have much more Easif you's getting a gun.
- 20:56Speaker 1: Out here, you're you're in the bad hood.
- 20:59Speaker 8: The way it took the last ten seconds is that
- 21:01Speaker 8: she shipped me a gun, told me to point it
- 21:03Speaker 8: at myself, and then yeah, we're gonna be friends. Yes,
- 21:05Speaker 8: so I help myself at gunpoint.
- 21:07Speaker 2: Yes, that's pretty great. You know it is.
- 21:09Speaker 3: No, he just met me, so he doesn't know if
- 21:12Speaker 3: I say I'm gonna ship.
- 21:13Speaker 1: Something, you'll get it in a year.
- 21:15Speaker 3: It could be like a year or two if I
- 21:17Speaker 3: don't have to go to or And I also don't
- 21:20Speaker 3: prioritize shipping over like, I live alone by choice. I
- 21:27Speaker 3: I just I don't. I'm too old for a roommate.
- 21:29Speaker 3: I work very hard. I am pretty much just above
- 21:32Speaker 3: poverty line. But it's important to me to have my
- 21:35Speaker 3: own space.
- 21:36Speaker 1: Oh yeah, you have a roommate.
- 21:38Speaker 3: You have well, yeah, I have my my dog that
- 21:40Speaker 3: thinks she's my like trophy wife because that's how she
- 21:43Speaker 3: treats me, is that I should spoil her at all times.
- 21:45Speaker 3: And I have no say. But other than that, I
- 21:49Speaker 3: work very hard to live alone. And I've read where
- 21:52Speaker 3: I was going with this because I'm crying from laughter.
- 21:55Speaker 3: But I think it was about how much we like James.
- 21:58Speaker 3: I think, oh the gun, Yeah, I would never ship
- 22:00Speaker 3: it to you. I don't prioritize it, never get over. Yeah,
- 22:04Speaker 3: I'm like, well, I should eat food and maybe buy
- 22:06Speaker 3: weed this week, So I'm going to go with those
- 22:09Speaker 3: two things. Yeah, I'll ship your backage next time.
- 22:12Speaker 2: That's priority. Absolutely.
- 22:16Speaker 3: I don't know when we became best friends, but I
- 22:18Speaker 3: think bunk beds made out of regular beds is next
- 22:21Speaker 3: in order, which is so dangerous.
- 22:26Speaker 2: Well, I have a welder. We can make this happen.
- 22:30Speaker 1: You don't really, You guys just said you don't want roommates.
- 22:33Speaker 3: Yeah no, no, I know that.
- 22:35Speaker 2: We would buy Like, no, it's just to have it.
- 22:38Speaker 2: You don't have it.
- 22:39Speaker 3: Yeah, no, it's fine.
- 22:41Speaker 1: I don't want you to live with me. I just
- 22:42Speaker 1: want to have a bunk bed.
- 22:43Speaker 3: Yeah, let's all right, let's let's.
- 22:46Speaker 2: Style that back. Yeah, I didn't say I wanted roommates.
- 22:48Speaker 5: But I'm hearing.
- 22:50Speaker 3: Really is that James has a workshop full of really
- 22:53Speaker 3: cool tools. When I'm in a pinch with my arty
- 22:56Speaker 3: farty ship, I'm gonna be like, hey, I know you
- 22:58Speaker 3: worked ninety six, seven thousand and jobs sixty seven. I
- 23:06Speaker 3: need you to fabricate this thing for me right now, sir.
- 23:08Speaker 3: And he's gonna be like.
- 23:11Speaker 1: She needs glue that works on McDonald's toys.
- 23:15Speaker 3: I have tried dissolved itself. Yeah. I have tried two
- 23:19Speaker 3: plastic glues on these McDonald's toys that are like certified
- 23:24Speaker 3: for models and plastic, and it has melted. I do
- 23:27Speaker 3: not understand what this McDonald's toy is made out of
- 23:30Speaker 3: it has plastic, just like yeah, but like it must
- 23:34Speaker 3: be plastic, like recycled plastic or something. There's something weird happening.
- 23:40Speaker 3: I'm building a trophy. Sorry, your face is so confused.
- 23:44Speaker 8: Well yeah, I'm just like it whatever adhesive you're using
- 23:47Speaker 8: is melting the plastic.
- 23:48Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, it's like so it's getting so like the
- 23:53Speaker 3: chemical reaction between the two. It's getting like almost warm,
- 23:58Speaker 3: not hot, but warm. And then even if I let
- 24:01Speaker 3: it sit for like six days, like the second time
- 24:03Speaker 3: I bought one, that was like one of those two
- 24:06Speaker 3: step apoxies. Yeah, and I was like, this will glue
- 24:10Speaker 3: anything together. I sold and I let it sit for days,
- 24:15Speaker 3: and I picked them up and the one just like
- 24:18Speaker 3: like dripped down to the ground. Luckily, we went through
- 24:22Speaker 3: a phase with the tiny McDonald's things Gina and I
- 24:25Speaker 3: where I bought so many that I have like thirty
- 24:28Speaker 3: I don't know what to do with. I'm going to
- 24:29Speaker 3: donate them to Mike Bennett to make key chains at
- 24:32Speaker 3: his thing down in downtown because I just don't need
- 24:35Speaker 3: them any toys. But luckily I had multiples of the
- 24:38Speaker 3: tiny McDonald's store that I decided to build our Season
- 24:42Speaker 3: two Trivia Trophy for our the top rated guests that
- 24:47Speaker 3: we have that wins the most quiz points. They don't
- 24:50Speaker 3: necessarily even have to win the quiz against Kristen because
- 24:53Speaker 3: it's hard, but the most points.
- 24:55Speaker 2: You already I'm ready.
- 24:58Speaker 3: Well no, I mean if you crush it, yeah you could,
- 25:03Speaker 3: but it's gonna be hard. But whoever wins is getting
- 25:05Speaker 3: this multi tiered McDonald's. So I'm at the point where
- 25:09Speaker 3: I'm drilling holes and I'm gonna attach it with like
- 25:12Speaker 3: little screws and things. But anyway, yeah, yeah, I'm I'm curious.
- 25:18Speaker 5: Yeah, I know, what are they making those toys out?
- 25:20Speaker 2: Yeah, it turns out that it's just solidified cancer. It's
- 25:24Speaker 2: just cancer.
- 25:27Speaker 1: I just figured to be as a workshop you might know.
- 25:29Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, it's weird. Well, you're smarter than me, so
- 25:32Speaker 3: it's possible.
- 25:33Speaker 8: I mean, there is potential for chemical reaction within a
- 25:36Speaker 8: POxy resin. Yes, and if like the epoxy isn't properly mixed,
- 25:40Speaker 8: like it won't set properly in that wool droop.
- 25:43Speaker 3: It was one of those tubes, Well I could dip
- 25:46Speaker 3: them in real resin. I pour like glitter keychains and
- 25:49Speaker 3: things sometimes in resin I could.
- 25:51Speaker 2: So the reson you have, it's like two tubes and
- 25:53Speaker 2: then like the stuff comes out and you mix it
- 25:55Speaker 2: together or is it a single tube.
- 25:57Speaker 3: It was like the two tubes that when you like
- 26:00Speaker 3: snap the thing or whatever and you squeeze it, it
- 26:02Speaker 3: comes out.
- 26:03Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:04Speaker 3: I followed the steps on the thing. I let it dry.
- 26:07Speaker 3: But the first time was my fault. I just used
- 26:10Speaker 3: like a super glue that said it worked on all materials,
- 26:12Speaker 3: including plastic, which was a lie. But the second time
- 26:15Speaker 3: I thought for sure that stuff would work, and I
- 26:16Speaker 3: just went to Miquels and went and grabbed one that
- 26:19Speaker 3: was plastic rated. So it's I mean, I'll figure it
- 26:22Speaker 3: out because worst case, I do have tiny droebits, so
- 26:25Speaker 3: I can always drill a tiny hole and just like
- 26:28Speaker 3: throw rod in and get it to grab that or
- 26:30Speaker 3: something or screw it together. So it's gonna happen. But
- 26:34Speaker 3: I'm definitely not like gonna start a podcast on how
- 26:38Speaker 3: to use plastic adhesives on McDonald's already. It's fine, right,
- 26:45Speaker 3: you'd be surprised. Oh god, all right, let's play the quiz.
- 26:49Speaker 2: Yeah, let's do it.
- 26:50Speaker 5: Yeah, we have a couple of.
- 26:53Speaker 3: Rules here for the quiz. The rules are mostly for Kristen,
- 26:58Speaker 3: but we're gonna share them with you. So your buzzer
- 27:02Speaker 3: is your name. The reason we brought up the buppet
- 27:04Speaker 3: flil initially was Wesley came on and she did this.
- 27:09Speaker 3: She is she nothing happened to her.
- 27:12Speaker 1: You gotta say your name.
- 27:14Speaker 3: Yeah, she didn't get a point. So just make sure
- 27:17Speaker 3: you say your name to buzz in and then.
- 27:19Speaker 1: You can also muppet flail.
- 27:21Speaker 3: You can't muppet.
- 27:22Speaker 8: Flail along with it at the same time.
- 27:24Speaker 3: Okay, but I need the audible cue because I do
- 27:26Speaker 3: have to read these a little bit.
- 27:28Speaker 2: Okay.
- 27:29Speaker 3: The last thing is, please let me finish the question.
- 27:32Speaker 5: Okay, don't over elaborate or you might ruin the next question.
- 27:38Speaker 3: I just Jonathan grafted all over my laptop. I just
- 27:41Speaker 3: spat all over my laptop and I'm not even singing.
- 27:44Speaker 3: It's fine, all right, here we go, Jesus. What is
- 27:49Speaker 3: the last name of the neighbors next door? Kristin, Yes, Kristen,
- 27:57Speaker 3: the mcdowells. Yes, yeah, yeah, I.
- 28:02Speaker 2: Was gonna say McDougall, but that was wrong.
- 28:03Speaker 1: Yeah, it's okay to mix something's all right.
- 28:07Speaker 3: Number two, This is a multiple choice. We've never had
- 28:10Speaker 3: a multiple choice.
- 28:11Speaker 1: Question on this before New Territory.
- 28:15Speaker 3: Which of the following was not something that sal could
- 28:20Speaker 3: achieve at the kitchen table in under an hour? Make love,
- 28:24Speaker 3: eat dessert, give himself a pedicure, or read the newspaper.
- 28:31Speaker 8: James, Oh, yes, chance eat dessert.
- 28:35Speaker 3: That's correct, this is shaping up. Well, I'm very excited.
- 28:42Speaker 1: Okay, hell how he gave himself a pedicure at the
- 28:47Speaker 1: kitchen table after eating?
- 28:49Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, yeah, all right, yep, especially that scrapy thing
- 28:56Speaker 8: like the.
- 28:58Speaker 2: What was he having a Caesar Sala wanted more.
- 29:00Speaker 1: Chance right over your pasta.
- 29:04Speaker 2: The visceral reaction, delicious right from the.
- 29:09Speaker 5: Like those pet eggs.
- 29:16Speaker 3: If you grow up watching things like whatever Happened to
- 29:19Speaker 3: Baby Jane, you have a real appreciation for gross things
- 29:22Speaker 3: under like a closed meal that you're afraid of, Like
- 29:25Speaker 3: you're like, this might be gross. Now, I'm afraid anything
- 29:28Speaker 3: with cheese on it. It's the heel of Salvator.
- 29:32Speaker 1: All right, anyway, it is it is his heel.
- 29:36Speaker 3: It is why does Dorothy say that Sophia is a
- 29:40Speaker 3: little upset when the police officers arrive or detectives rather
- 29:44Speaker 3: sorry when the detectives.
- 29:48Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, why does she say that? Say the
- 29:52Speaker 2: question again?
- 29:53Speaker 3: Yes, why does Dorothy say that? Sofia is a little upset.
- 30:00Speaker 3: This is right after she slammed the door on the
- 30:02Speaker 3: detectives and then Dorothy lets them in and says, she's
- 30:07Speaker 3: a little upset because.
- 30:09Speaker 1: Ari had a dog whining at me for the first
- 30:11Speaker 1: five that's okay, ten minutes.
- 30:13Speaker 3: I pulled this out because this is smidge of history
- 30:16Speaker 3: as well. This was around a time where America was
- 30:19Speaker 3: really shitting all over this person. She was upset. This
- 30:22Speaker 3: is a no stump for aeroning. I get a bonus
- 30:25Speaker 3: point here. If I stomp you guys, I get a point.
- 30:27Speaker 3: That's the only way I get points in this. Oh okay,
- 30:30Speaker 3: So the answer is that she just found out she
- 30:32Speaker 3: had the same hairdresser as what be.
- 30:34Speaker 5: Goldbergh And I think I heard that.
- 30:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I was so stuck on the people. I was laughing. Yeah,
- 30:42Speaker 2: there is like, uh, don't you you shouldn't you ask?
- 30:45Speaker 2: Oh yeah, somebody is at the door like laughing about
- 30:48Speaker 2: that that she slammed in his face.
- 30:49Speaker 1: He's like, all right, fine.
- 30:51Speaker 3: Well, so the reason this was so topical was around
- 30:53Speaker 3: eighty six and eighty seven. A lot of people were
- 30:56Speaker 3: shitting on her hair at that point, and I guess,
- 31:00Speaker 3: you know, growing up a white person, I didn't understand
- 31:05Speaker 3: sitting on head significance. Yeah, so this was like sort of.
- 31:09Speaker 1: A I just think it's weird. Sh has of eyebrows.
- 31:14Speaker 1: She has said she doesn't like it, so she just
- 31:16Speaker 1: shaves them off. She's like how they feel, And I'm like,
- 31:18Speaker 1: it's weird though, to be an actor and a moat.
- 31:21Speaker 2: With no eyebrows.
- 31:22Speaker 3: Cynthia Revo doesn't have eyebrows, does she. I don't think
- 31:25Speaker 3: she does.
- 31:25Speaker 2: I don't think so.
- 31:26Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean she has no hair also. But anyway, okay, cool, Well, sorry, Bay,
- 31:32Speaker 3: better attention when the show's on, guys. That's all I can.
- 31:34Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what I I'll take that.
- 31:36Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, Well, hopefully you guys were listening because
- 31:39Speaker 3: this next one was one of the funniest things that
- 31:41Speaker 3: I think was said during the show, which was, what
- 31:44Speaker 3: does Rose say was the only crime in Saint Olaf?
- 31:47Speaker 5: Kristin? Yes, bad or hygiene?
- 31:51Speaker 1: Yeah, I knew it was something about teeth. Yeah, good work, Kristin.
- 31:55Speaker 8: I went due potatoes in my head, the potato juice.
- 32:01Speaker 3: I don't.
- 32:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I love some potato.
- 32:04Speaker 2: Yeah yeah.
- 32:05Speaker 3: There was an episode where they were making sandwiches but
- 32:08Speaker 3: they had no tomatoes and they were making bacanuletta potato,
- 32:11Speaker 3: so they said, it is possible potato. Are you saying potato?
- 32:19Speaker 3: All right? Who actually left the toilet set up? And why?
- 32:27Speaker 3: Oh here it was Kristen.
- 32:30Speaker 2: But wow, Christen.
- 32:32Speaker 5: Sophia because she was trying something.
- 32:37Speaker 1: I can really imagine.
- 32:39Speaker 3: I was like, what could.
- 32:42Speaker 1: Really straining the muscles?
- 32:44Speaker 2: My mind went to a shi wei but it had
- 32:47Speaker 2: like a rotating spout, just like rain birded all over
- 32:51Speaker 2: the toilet like the old sprinklers. Oh my, trying something.
- 32:57Speaker 3: New, hiying something new? All right, Well there you go.
- 33:01Speaker 3: Well we we know the neighbor's last name is mcdowalls,
- 33:04Speaker 3: but what are their first names?
- 33:08Speaker 1: Mister and missus Rod Martha?
- 33:11Speaker 3: It is Rod and Martha. All right, okay, it's all right, Okay,
- 33:17Speaker 3: good job, Kristin. I'm proud of you. Why why does
- 33:22Speaker 3: Blanche say that they are all staring at Martha when
- 33:26Speaker 3: she comes.
- 33:27Speaker 5: So I thought you were done.
- 33:31Speaker 1: When she start over.
- 33:33Speaker 3: We'll just I'll rephrase the question and we'll just when
- 33:38Speaker 3: Martha comes to the front door, Why does Blanche say
- 33:41Speaker 3: they were all staring at her?
- 33:45Speaker 2: You pas okay, first off, you paused give it that
- 33:50Speaker 2: one to me. Yeah, because her purse doesn't matterress shoes.
- 33:54Speaker 1: I love, James, It's official.
- 33:57Speaker 2: I'm here for it.
- 34:00Speaker 1: He puts you in your place girl.
- 34:02Speaker 3: I love that.
- 34:02Speaker 2: I mean, I appreciate it, but like you have one,
- 34:07Speaker 2: I love it.
- 34:09Speaker 1: Yeah, where's my plaque fan?
- 34:11Speaker 3: That is? Yeah? Right, her purse isn't matter's shoes, which, shockingly,
- 34:16Speaker 3: I had shoes that matched my little like kid purses
- 34:19Speaker 3: even in the eighties. That was very important. All right,
- 34:23Speaker 3: here we go. H what does Sophia say to Bobby
- 34:28Speaker 3: after he sneezes?
- 34:31Speaker 8: Oh James, Yes, nice touch, but I work alone?
- 34:36Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 34:36Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I thought that was really special.
- 34:41Speaker 2: Yeah, so good.
- 34:44Speaker 3: It was good timing. What movie does Rose say she's
- 34:49Speaker 3: sad to miss when they go to the McDowell's for
- 34:52Speaker 3: dinner Kristen.
- 34:54Speaker 5: Yes in Cold Blood?
- 34:56Speaker 2: Yeah, and the dry delivery too, Just like in Cold Blood, so.
- 35:04Speaker 5: An innocent family's brutally murdered.
- 35:06Speaker 3: Yeah. I do think in that scene and correct me
- 35:12Speaker 3: if anyone disagrees with me, But I do think this
- 35:14Speaker 3: is one of those moments where we saw the animosity
- 35:17Speaker 3: on set because Dorothy really hit her with that TV
- 35:21Speaker 3: guide and it's so much so that her hair stays
- 35:25Speaker 3: messed up for like the rest of that time on
- 35:28Speaker 3: the couch.
- 35:29Speaker 5: Her hair anyway.
- 35:32Speaker 3: Yeah, well they hit each other. I would I'd hit No,
- 35:36Speaker 3: I wouldn't hit anyone. I'm not that violent. Okay, what
- 35:40Speaker 3: story is Roe's supposed to tell after the wine is poured?
- 35:45Speaker 5: At eighteen forty Kristen, Yes, Uncle Curtis's three skunks are
- 35:51Speaker 5: in the fountain.
- 35:53Speaker 3: Yes, yes, that's yes. I think his name was Hurtis though,
- 36:00Speaker 3: but yes, Curtis.
- 36:02Speaker 5: The closed caption said Curtis.
- 36:04Speaker 1: Sorry, the close captions that we didn't have on I
- 36:08Speaker 1: have him on zoom.
- 36:09Speaker 5: So when the sound comes through eron's that close captions.
- 36:13Speaker 8: It's probably that auto generated stuff that like gets great.
- 36:18Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I could be wrong also too, What
- 36:21Speaker 3: the hell is Curtis?
- 36:22Speaker 1: I'm making it Curtis.
- 36:23Speaker 3: Yeah, that happens a lot with the duck go the same,
- 36:29Speaker 3: never mean duc the Saint. All off names confuse the
- 36:35Speaker 3: Scandinavian lineage names confuse the stuff often. But okay, next question,
- 36:41Speaker 3: how many gunshots are fired?
- 36:44Speaker 2: James?
- 36:45Speaker 3: Yes?
- 36:46Speaker 2: Three?
- 36:47Speaker 4: I'm wrong is.
- 36:52Speaker 5: Did you just ask us?
- 36:54Speaker 3: Well he was so sure it was three, I'm wrong. Yeah, Well,
- 36:59Speaker 3: let's see what Christen asked to say. I did think
- 37:02Speaker 3: it was two.
- 37:04Speaker 8: Probably no, as as I said three, I was like, no, wait,
- 37:06Speaker 8: I think it's two.
- 37:08Speaker 3: Okayloadd Yeah you didn't hear that? Oh yeah, sorry, okay,
- 37:21Speaker 3: I couldn't hear that over the sound of their heels
- 37:23Speaker 3: in this episode.
- 37:25Speaker 1: Yeah a lot, I guess.
- 37:29Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know. Okay, well sorry. James at that
- 37:32Speaker 3: point goes to Kristen.
- 37:34Speaker 2: No apology necessary.
- 37:36Speaker 3: This next question. I think only Kristen or Gina will
- 37:41Speaker 3: be able to get. But it needs to be asked
- 37:43Speaker 3: because it's been gotten wrong three times already. James on
- 37:47Speaker 3: other episodes, Okay, what is the name of the hospital?
- 37:57Speaker 2: Oh?
- 37:57Speaker 3: I thought you were don't have the question, Gina answered first.
- 38:02Speaker 1: Got Biscayne General Hospital.
- 38:04Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, so they used the same hospital for every
- 38:08Speaker 3: episode of Golden Girls so far and three prior quizes James,
- 38:14Speaker 3: I have asked one time, it was on screen for
- 38:16Speaker 3: like thirty seconds. It was just sitting there.
- 38:19Speaker 5: We don't know, You're like clock.
- 38:21Speaker 3: They ship all over me.
- 38:24Speaker 1: That's the name of the hospital.
- 38:25Speaker 3: Go for Life, do you want us to do good
- 38:28Speaker 3: at the quiz or not? And I was like, it
- 38:31Speaker 3: was on TV for like a very long time.
- 38:33Speaker 1: Now we now we mock her. And look there's writing
- 38:36Speaker 1: Christmas well.
- 38:37Speaker 8: Pretty much transition shots like like you said, with the
- 38:40Speaker 8: exterior house at night, it's just why.
- 38:43Speaker 3: Yeah that one shot. I was like, I can tell
- 38:45Speaker 3: there's trim on that house. And that's about it. It's
- 38:48Speaker 3: so weird.
- 38:49Speaker 1: Anyway, time filler, I guess yeah, all.
- 38:52Speaker 3: Right, So this next one is a two parter. I
- 38:55Speaker 3: will need both components to get the point two parts.
- 38:59Speaker 3: How do you get out of kindergarten in Sicily? And
- 39:03Speaker 3: how do you get out of kindergarten in Saint.
- 39:04Speaker 1: Olaf, Gina. Yes, in Sicily you have to duck a bullet. Yeah,
- 39:10Speaker 1: insane Olaf. You have to promise not to eat paste.
- 39:14Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, I don't even think it's naughty paste.
- 39:18Speaker 1: Just promise that you won't.
- 39:20Speaker 3: Yeah, she says, She says, you have to promise not
- 39:23Speaker 3: to eat Yeah, all right. Final question here, what is
- 39:29Speaker 3: the name of the doctor Sophia tries to fix Dorothy.
- 39:32Speaker 2: O oh Man started with a J.
- 39:36Speaker 8: I so distracted by them shitting on al.
- 39:39Speaker 3: Yeah, don't worry anyone, but Kristen will get this right
- 39:44Speaker 3: because I can tell you with emphatically it doesn't start
- 39:47Speaker 3: with a J. So no matter. Yeah, was it Zimmerman? No?
- 39:56Speaker 2: Oh? Was it? Yeah?
- 39:58Speaker 3: It is doctor Tansy. Oh, I guess it was and
- 40:05Speaker 3: t a n z I.
- 40:08Speaker 1: He was not a looker.
- 40:12Speaker 8: He confused to be there, like whichever actor they maybe
- 40:17Speaker 8: was a real doctor that they just pulled off of
- 40:19Speaker 8: another set.
- 40:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I definitely had birth control glasses.
- 40:22Speaker 3: Well though, to be.
- 40:26Speaker 1: So rude, I'm just saying, just saying, it's okay, it's
- 40:31Speaker 1: probably dead.
- 40:34Speaker 2: I've only ever heard that phrase is birth control face?
- 40:37Speaker 1: Oh, I haven't heard that so rude. That is so rude,
- 40:41Speaker 1: birth control face.
- 40:44Speaker 3: God, never heard that at all.
- 40:48Speaker 1: Anyway, No, I want to use it.
- 40:50Speaker 3: I want to use this figure. I've heard like you've
- 40:54Speaker 3: got a face for radio and something like that, like
- 40:57Speaker 3: specifically to me. No, I'm just kidding. Yeah. Anyway, Look,
- 41:01Speaker 3: that was that was a hurt. Guys. Thanks James, you
- 41:05Speaker 3: fought hard. You did a good job.
- 41:07Speaker 2: I think I want good No, Gina, No, Kristin definitely won,
- 41:13Speaker 2: but I'm proud of you. You at least get a sticker,
- 41:17Speaker 2: is it?
- 41:17Speaker 1: Say grape job and you scratch it and it smells
- 41:20Speaker 1: like grapes.
- 41:20Speaker 5: I have gold stars, send you some. I'll take a
- 41:24Speaker 5: gold stared to use them in the office.
- 41:27Speaker 2: Oh god, all right, it's going to be a squirre
- 41:29Speaker 2: gun that has a note that is or else.
- 41:32Speaker 1: Oh that's awesome, you know that Golden girls.
- 41:37Speaker 3: That shit works for creative people. Because I once went
- 41:41Speaker 3: on a date with a guy and then dated him
- 41:43Speaker 3: for a little bit afterwards, because he asked me out
- 41:46Speaker 3: in front of a bunch of people, and I said, well,
- 41:49Speaker 3: I mean, look, it would be probably more fun to
- 41:51Speaker 3: hang out with you than to like sit around with
- 41:54Speaker 3: a dead cat. That was I don't know, my brain,
- 41:58Speaker 3: just like that's all I could think of. I came
- 41:59Speaker 3: in to work the next day. I worked at Disney,
- 42:02Speaker 3: and I came into my scheduling office and there was
- 42:04Speaker 3: a little cat hanging from the ceiling on like a ribbon,
- 42:08Speaker 3: and it said, don't make me off. This cat go
- 42:10Speaker 3: on a date with me. And I was like sold.
- 42:13Speaker 3: And we went on a date and he was very
- 42:15Speaker 3: nice and we're still friends and we're.
- 42:17Speaker 2: Going to take that. Yeah, that's good.
- 42:20Speaker 1: Either you're gonna be horrified or you're gonna be like,
- 42:23Speaker 1: I love you.
- 42:23Speaker 2: Yeah, you have like the same dark sense of humor
- 42:26Speaker 2: like that is that's primo.
- 42:27Speaker 3: We're still really good friends. He is. He's my co
- 42:31Speaker 3: host for my Disney podcast that we have yet to
- 42:34Speaker 3: actually release, so but.
- 42:38Speaker 8: Yeah, anyway, Oh man, it's just like with the poster of.
- 42:42Speaker 2: The cat, hang in there behind it.
- 42:45Speaker 1: Hang in there, baby in there.
- 42:48Speaker 3: Oh God? All right, Gina, do you have some trivia
- 42:54Speaker 3: for us on this?
- 42:57Speaker 2: Kay?
- 42:58Speaker 1: Joseph Campanella was Al Mullins. He was on the show
- 43:01Speaker 1: Mannix and the Bold and the Beautiful. George Clooney or
- 43:05Speaker 1: the kloon Dog was Bobby Hopkins. He was on r
- 43:10Speaker 1: Roseanne multiple movies.
- 43:13Speaker 3: Was this wasn't his first? Though? Right, Facts of Life
- 43:16Speaker 3: was before this?
- 43:17Speaker 1: I think I don't think this was his first.
- 43:19Speaker 3: I meant to look that up, but I forgot.
- 43:22Speaker 1: Barbara Tarbuck was Martha McDowell. She was on mash. Oh
- 43:26Speaker 1: I didn't write down the other mcgdell so well. Sophia
- 43:30Speaker 1: mentions Oliver North. He was president of the NRA from
- 43:33Speaker 1: twenty eighteen to twenty nineteen. He was fired for alleged
- 43:38Speaker 1: participation in the Iran Contra affair. She mentioned Barnaby Jones,
- 43:43Speaker 1: a fictional detective. The show starred Buddy Epson, and you
- 43:49Speaker 1: mentioned in Cold Blood, which is a novel about a
- 43:53Speaker 1: farming community with multiple murders. And that's all I have
- 43:59Speaker 1: kind of a episode for trivia.
- 44:02Speaker 5: The only reason I know who Barnaby Jones is is
- 44:04Speaker 5: because he was in the Beverly Hillbillies movie that they did.
- 44:10Speaker 1: The actor who played Barnimie Jones. Oh okay, he.
- 44:14Speaker 5: Was in it as Barnaby Jones.
- 44:16Speaker 1: Oh as Barnaby Okay, that's awesome.
- 44:19Speaker 8: I the Beverly Hillbillies. I know I've seen an episode
- 44:25Speaker 8: or something like that. I definitely haven't seen the movie,
- 44:27Speaker 8: but all I remember is was it Grandma sitting in
- 44:31Speaker 8: a chair on top of the car.
- 44:33Speaker 3: Yeah, they like strapped her down into the truck with
- 44:38Speaker 3: the other stuff, and.
- 44:39Speaker 2: That actress was just like, sure, yeah.
- 44:44Speaker 1: We don't have we don't have Osha yet.
- 44:46Speaker 2: Fine.
- 44:46Speaker 3: I think in the in the movie was that Cloris Leachman.
- 44:51Speaker 3: I think I think probably.
- 44:53Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 44:53Speaker 3: She strikes me as someone that would do anything.
- 44:56Speaker 2: For the laugh, so it worked. It was great.
- 44:59Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, are you about to make me do the villain? Yes?
- 45:06Speaker 3: I thought it was going to be. You know, this
- 45:09Speaker 3: was my worst job ever. I was having such a
- 45:13Speaker 3: good time talking to you assholes that I forgot to
- 45:16Speaker 3: write down my last point. So my last note on
- 45:19Speaker 3: how Rose is a villain just as Rose, because by
- 45:23Speaker 3: the time I opened the sharp peek was gone. So
- 45:27Speaker 3: this is light, but I think I think I can
- 45:31Speaker 3: sway James on this. Anyone that gives vats of fish
- 45:36Speaker 3: and potato juice to someone is a villain. I have
- 45:43Speaker 3: I have more, but I think that's the strongest case
- 45:47Speaker 3: for being a villain is the potato juice, specifically because hey,
- 45:51Speaker 3: here's some starchy water that tastes rotten.
- 45:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 45:56Speaker 3: So then, and I'm afraid of this because I said
- 46:00Speaker 3: I also did this. I followed someone around once on Instagram,
- 46:05Speaker 3: trying to make them be on this show. But it
- 46:07Speaker 3: is creepy and villain villainous that Rose follows them around
- 46:11Speaker 3: the grocery store, just like judging and writing down what
- 46:14Speaker 3: they buy.
- 46:16Speaker 1: Clearly she wasn't sneaky because the lady's like, you find.
- 46:18Speaker 2: It around ye that?
- 46:22Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah, I mean they definitely get their revenge because
- 46:25Speaker 3: they call her a noodle head later poors poor Rose
- 46:31Speaker 3: the bitch villain who throws a book on the couch.
- 46:35Speaker 3: What if someone sat down on the couch after she
- 46:37Speaker 3: threw that book down, that would break the spine. And
- 46:40Speaker 3: as we know from previous episodes, James read Kristen is
- 46:47Speaker 3: so mad at Jonathan Bailey when he steps on the
- 46:49Speaker 3: books in Wicked that I know that the complete and
- 46:52Speaker 3: total disregard of throwing a book spine open like that
- 46:57Speaker 3: down where someone could sit on it is fucking villain.
- 47:01Speaker 1: It's one of those like nails on a chalkboard. For Kristen,
- 47:03Speaker 1: if you break a book's fine, Oh.
- 47:05Speaker 2: My god, I can so like I understand and empathize that,
- 47:08Speaker 2: like physical reaction. I loved the choreography I did.
- 47:15Speaker 5: It was amazing.
- 47:16Speaker 2: And also the fact that he genuinely did that, like yeah,
- 47:19Speaker 2: without special rigging, like he actually slid across the floor
- 47:22Speaker 2: on a book.
- 47:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 47:23Speaker 2: Yeah. As a performer myself, I found incredibly impressive. But
- 47:27Speaker 2: my mental image of you, like the spine just like
- 47:30Speaker 2: contracting and twitting.
- 47:33Speaker 5: She's in the theater, we have to go, we have
- 47:34Speaker 5: to love, and my sister's like, it's probably it's fake,
- 47:37Speaker 5: it's fake.
- 47:38Speaker 2: I was like, no.
- 47:39Speaker 5: I watched the behind the scenes.
- 47:40Speaker 3: It was a real book, but it was impressive that. Yeah. Look,
- 47:46Speaker 3: I could say a lot of nice things about the
- 47:47Speaker 3: sexiest man alive. Yeah, Like, I had some very uncomfortable
- 47:53Speaker 3: conversations yesterday with coworkers and some of our co hosts
- 47:57Speaker 3: about how he has put off Billy Porter meets like
- 48:04Speaker 3: old timey old man professor in the sexiest way. He
- 48:08Speaker 3: wears these big cable knit sweaters with these crazy pulazzo
- 48:11Speaker 3: type pants, and it just fucking works. Any other man.
- 48:15Speaker 3: If you put any other man in front of me
- 48:18Speaker 3: in that outfit, I'm gonna be like that shit out
- 48:19Speaker 3: of here. You look fucking insane, and on him, I'm like, well,
- 48:23Speaker 3: I mean it, I don't know why I don't own
- 48:25Speaker 3: six of those sweaters. Just like that, you make that
- 48:27Speaker 3: look amazing. Anyway, back to back to bitch face Rose.
- 48:33Speaker 3: Then she almost that horror. She almost blows the investigator.
- 48:41Speaker 3: She goes from wanting to be the plants at the
- 48:43Speaker 3: dinner she wants to be the plant at the dinner thing.
- 48:46Speaker 3: But when Martha comes to the front door and she
- 48:48Speaker 3: answers the door, she just stands there and goes, huh,
- 48:54Speaker 3: talk about fucking weird, Like if they were gonna catch
- 48:58Speaker 3: on to the investigation, it would have been Rose's fault,
- 49:03Speaker 3: and that, coupled with the potato juice and then gross
- 49:07Speaker 3: misconduct with books, makes her the villain.
- 49:11Speaker 2: I would dare say it's the lack of self awareness,
- 49:14Speaker 2: because she's like standing at the door, squeaking like a
- 49:16Speaker 2: dog chew toy, and then like proceeds to immediately after
- 49:20Speaker 2: that be like I work fine under pressure. Also, I
- 49:25Speaker 2: would like to are you a goldfish? Did you just
- 49:27Speaker 2: forget what happened ten seconds ago?
- 49:30Speaker 9: Often I'd like to time travel back to coffee shop
- 49:35Speaker 9: with her trying to climb out of the bathroom window
- 49:37Speaker 9: because she couldn't pay for a cup of coffee that that.
- 49:40Speaker 1: You know, like where she suck.
- 49:42Speaker 2: That is villainous behavior.
- 49:43Speaker 8: Turns out that coffee shop also funds an orphanage, so.
- 49:46Speaker 3: Yeah, right, trying to steal a kind of.
- 49:52Speaker 2: Like it stealing coffee from children rows.
- 49:56Speaker 3: Fire kids drinking coffee.
- 50:01Speaker 8: Because it was the nineteen twenties and they were running
- 50:03Speaker 8: the mill.
- 50:04Speaker 5: Yeah, I had to get to work.
- 50:07Speaker 3: I'm not saying James can be on every wage because
- 50:10Speaker 3: he is an important person with a busy life, but
- 50:12Speaker 3: if he wanted to, I would like James to take
- 50:15Speaker 3: over the villain role. That was pretty great forever.
- 50:20Speaker 1: It doesn't have to be based in reality.
- 50:23Speaker 2: No, did it happen? It was off screen? You don't know, Yeah,
- 50:26Speaker 2: you don't know.
- 50:27Speaker 4: Who knows?
- 50:28Speaker 3: Yeah, bad little orphans warming their fingers on the coffee cups. Sorry, anyway,
- 50:37Speaker 3: that's all I got.
- 50:39Speaker 2: I think the villain might have actually been Blanche.
- 50:42Speaker 1: Oh, go ahead, tell us.
- 50:44Speaker 2: Trying to trying to hook up with her pseudo son.
- 50:48Speaker 3: Oh yeah that's true.
- 50:49Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, what in the pedal was that?
- 50:53Speaker 3: What were those shoes he had on too?
- 50:57Speaker 2: In bed?
- 50:58Speaker 3: I could not stop looking. They looked like nurses shoes,
- 51:01Speaker 3: but in like character shoe tan. It was the weirdest
- 51:05Speaker 3: pair of men's shoes I've ever seen. Also, everyone always
- 51:09Speaker 3: has light colors on because it's Miami.
- 51:11Speaker 8: But you maybe clue Dog's actually the villain because he
- 51:16Speaker 8: talks about how he's a grown ass man and he
- 51:18Speaker 8: can carry a gun, but he doesn't get home cooked meals.
- 51:22Speaker 8: I mean, what in the Kraft mac and cheese you
- 51:23Speaker 8: can't cook your own meal?
- 51:25Speaker 2: What?
- 51:27Speaker 1: He's a busy man.
- 51:28Speaker 2: Oh, he's so busy.
- 51:31Speaker 1: Listening to all that audio all day.
- 51:33Speaker 3: Forty five minutes to feather his hair that.
- 51:35Speaker 2: Well, yeah, yeah, that's fair.
- 51:39Speaker 1: Yeah, him and Blantz would be fighting over bathroom mirror times,
- 51:42Speaker 1: so they wouldn't make a good couple.
- 51:45Speaker 2: Yeah, they'd have competing Brazilian blowout schedules, like yeah, I
- 51:51Speaker 2: like that.
- 51:51Speaker 3: She tries to give the Blanch tries to give him
- 51:53Speaker 3: away in that first scene, she goes, you have the boy.
- 51:57Speaker 3: She got him a boy first of all, sex traffick
- 52:02Speaker 3: or Blanche. I don't think you can just give someone
- 52:05Speaker 3: a person.
- 52:06Speaker 2: Oh I go with her out, okay, okay, Blanch the files.
- 52:16Speaker 1: So, oh my god, she would totally be a madam.
- 52:20Speaker 8: Oh yeah, yeah, and she'd be the top tier product,
- 52:26Speaker 8: like come.
- 52:26Speaker 3: On, yeah, yeah, all right, James, you've been at Delight.
- 52:32Speaker 3: If if you would like to, we would love to
- 52:34Speaker 3: have you back next week in six minutes.
- 52:38Speaker 1: But if you thank you.
- 52:42Speaker 3: Tell us where can people find you? And is there
- 52:46Speaker 3: anything that you're working on for December that you'd like
- 52:50Speaker 3: to share with people?
- 52:52Speaker 8: An I don't officially have my performance schedule for December.
- 52:57Speaker 8: I know in the first two weekends I'm going to
- 52:59Speaker 8: be at Triangle production for the Oh my god, it's
- 53:01Speaker 8: the Donnie Show. Osmon No dun Horn is artistic director.
- 53:07Speaker 8: He's the guy that wrote That's No Lady.
- 53:10Speaker 2: He's that guy with Yeah, yep, that's him.
- 53:17Speaker 3: He reminds me of that famous imagineer with like the
- 53:21Speaker 3: crazy earring that's just like really into absorbing like culture
- 53:25Speaker 3: and art wherever he goes. He reminds me of like
- 53:28Speaker 3: the local version of He's just a Delight anyway.
- 53:31Speaker 2: Sorry, Okay, yeah, so I'm co hosting that, Okay, as
- 53:35Speaker 2: a stilt walker. You can find me at a couple
- 53:37Speaker 2: of different commercial properties like Bridgeport Village as a toy soldier.
- 53:41Speaker 1: Oh cool.
- 53:43Speaker 8: Shoot, my day job right now is not really something
- 53:45Speaker 8: that's publicly accessible. I am working in stop motion again.
- 53:50Speaker 8: But you know, but you know, NDA is by.
- 53:55Speaker 2: Whatever I can't share that.
- 53:56Speaker 1: Don't get in trouble.
- 53:59Speaker 2: When some of these like the pinocchial NDA fun bit
- 54:02Speaker 2: of production trivia for you. And I'm not violating any
- 54:05Speaker 2: contracts or anything by saying this, but some of these
- 54:08Speaker 2: NDAs they actually assign a monetary value to information.
- 54:12Speaker 1: Oh sure, yeah, and.
- 54:13Speaker 2: So if they like, if you spill something and they
- 54:16Speaker 2: deem that whatever piece of info was worth fifty thousand
- 54:19Speaker 2: dollars they can sue you for that.
- 54:21Speaker 3: I had to be very cool in my line of
- 54:24Speaker 3: work because I deal with some some celebrities and some
