- 0:38Speaker 3: Welcome in oh TV. Here on this Tuesday morning.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Let's go. If you want it, you can get it.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Let me know.
- 0:48Speaker 3: That was the great trick Daddy that said that. Jake, Flynn,
- 0:53Speaker 3: Alandra and Tata all here with you on this Tuesday morning.
- 1:00Speaker 3: Energy this morning. I'm glad to be here.
- 1:02Speaker 2: The juice than yesterday.
- 1:05Speaker 3: Monday, after a long extended break, after a holiday, it's
- 1:09Speaker 3: a tough show. Yeah, it's a tough show. What feeling
- 1:12Speaker 3: the best? You know what though, yet got some medicine
- 1:15Speaker 3: in me, got a Tuesday, not a Monday in me.
- 1:18Speaker 3: Got media days on the horizon, We get a chance
- 1:22Speaker 3: to get boots on the ground, hang out with the brethren.
- 1:24Speaker 3: Feeling pretty good.
- 1:26Speaker 5: Good, Yeah, I told you all yesterday like yesterday was
- 1:29Speaker 5: one of those days where I mean I usually have
- 1:32Speaker 5: a little trouble with this, but I just couldn't find
- 1:34Speaker 5: some words.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Yesterday I was looking for him. I was like Indiana
- 1:39Speaker 2: Jones searching for his next prize.
- 1:41Speaker 5: I was like, man, I'm smart enough, I know these words.
- 1:43Speaker 5: Just can't find them. They're locked back in there in
- 1:45Speaker 5: my brain somewhere.
- 1:46Speaker 4: Can I count the number of breaks when we took
- 1:49Speaker 4: commercial break? You were walking out of the room. You're like,
- 1:51Speaker 4: God's wards are hard today.
- 1:52Speaker 2: Words are tough. Words are tough. You know a good thing?
- 1:56Speaker 2: You know, I don't have a job on radiose. Words
- 1:58Speaker 2: are tough.
- 1:58Speaker 3: Sometimes sometimes you're searching. Sometimes you're trying to find it.
- 2:02Speaker 3: You know what you want to say, you want to use.
- 2:04Speaker 3: Maybe a word it's a little bit bigger, outside of
- 2:07Speaker 3: your your norm, outside of your comfort zone, and that
- 2:09Speaker 3: word just keeps escaping you. It's just like it just
- 2:13Speaker 3: continues to run away from you. Yeah, those big words,
- 2:15Speaker 3: sometimes they're elusive. Sometimes they don't have to be big.
- 2:20Speaker 3: Sometimes they can be everyday words. But we're here, we
- 2:24Speaker 3: made it.
- 2:24Speaker 6: Any word would work.
- 2:26Speaker 5: Day two, Tuesday, How are we feeling good? I'm great,
- 2:31Speaker 5: I feel really good. All right, Yep, woke up with
- 2:34Speaker 5: a little bounce on my step this morning.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:38Speaker 7: Wait, I was asking you, like before the show, right
- 2:41Speaker 7: about Tour de France because it started this weekend, and
- 2:44Speaker 7: so then I look it up just to get more info.
- 2:46Speaker 6: One of them crashed and is out the race. Yeah,
- 2:50Speaker 6: so he's like in the hospital.
- 2:52Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, so it's crazy is he telling us about?
- 2:57Speaker 6: It's Jasper broke his collar bone.
- 3:02Speaker 5: So these guys, So these bikers, these bikers have really
- 3:06Speaker 5: strong legs, but their upper bodies really frail.
- 3:09Speaker 2: So like if they.
- 3:10Speaker 5: Fall, if they fall like a minimum of like six
- 3:13Speaker 5: inches off the ground, their snap.
- 3:16Speaker 6: That's crazy.
- 3:16Speaker 2: Oh yeah. So yes, for Phillipson, one of the top sprinters,
- 3:19Speaker 2: I think.
- 3:19Speaker 6: He won four kilometers away from the finish.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Yeah, that's wild.
- 3:24Speaker 5: He won stage one act So if you win stage
- 3:27Speaker 5: one of the tour, like you, you automatically get the
- 3:29Speaker 5: yellow jersey for the next day and that's the sign
- 3:32Speaker 5: the mile de joan of the leader of the Tour
- 3:35Speaker 5: de France. So like a lot of times a sprinter,
- 3:37Speaker 5: which yes, for Phillipson is a sprinter, will get the
- 3:41Speaker 5: yellow jersey if the first stage is a sprint stage,
- 3:44Speaker 5: which he did, which is a cool it's a cool honor.
- 3:46Speaker 5: He will never hold on to it a sprint will
- 3:47Speaker 5: never hold on to it. But they get to wear
- 3:50Speaker 5: it for a day, maybe a couple of days.
- 3:53Speaker 6: Okay, I'm into it now.
- 3:55Speaker 5: So now so right now, yellow Jerseys, Matthew Vanderpolt So
- 3:58Speaker 5: he's the GC leader after stage three.
- 4:02Speaker 3: Any Americans, Yes there, that's a very American.
- 4:08Speaker 2: Belgium, I can't remember.
- 4:10Speaker 3: Uh.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Yes, Actually one of the top teams Youmbavisma.
- 4:13Speaker 5: I don't know anymore, Visma uh is one of their
- 4:17Speaker 5: top uh uh domes sticks is what they call, like,
- 4:22Speaker 5: so every team has one leader and everybody else is
- 4:25Speaker 5: kind of a domestick that helps him and guides him
- 4:27Speaker 5: and leads him and like clears the path for him.
- 4:30Speaker 5: One so one of the top writers is a h
- 4:32Speaker 5: is an American. I believe it's Tate. Let's see, I
- 4:35Speaker 5: can't remember his name off the top of my head.
- 4:37Speaker 5: We'll think of it.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Yeah, you're doaled in.
- 4:44Speaker 5: It's challenging to watch right now because usually in the
- 4:46Speaker 5: past it's been on NBC Sports, but NBC Sports is
- 4:49Speaker 5: not a thing anymore.
- 4:50Speaker 2: So you have to watch it on Peacock. Yeah.
- 4:52Speaker 5: But the problem is is, like when I get to
- 4:54Speaker 5: the office. I want to put it on as soon
- 4:55Speaker 5: as I get to the office so I can kind
- 4:56Speaker 5: of like watch it throughout the day and kind of
- 4:58Speaker 5: tune in and out of it. It's like one of
- 4:59Speaker 5: those like background fodder noises things that you can kind
- 5:04Speaker 5: of get like dip in and out of, kind of
- 5:06Speaker 5: like the NFL Draft. But it has to the actual
- 5:12Speaker 5: coverage has to end and be over for like an
- 5:14Speaker 5: hour for NBC Sports to let you go back and
- 5:16Speaker 5: watch it from the beginning. That's so yeah, it's dumb,
- 5:19Speaker 5: so like you can't even start it to like.
- 5:20Speaker 3: Is there like a this man really does have it
- 5:23Speaker 3: up on his computer?
- 5:24Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 5:24Speaker 6: Is there like a women's version of this? Or is
- 5:26Speaker 6: it like too hard?
- 5:28Speaker 2: No? But there is. There's actually a you're trying to bike? No,
- 5:34Speaker 2: I don't know if it's the same route or whatever.
- 5:36Speaker 4: Absolutely do they say when they take off, They're like,
- 5:38Speaker 4: let's bike.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Yeah, but you're asking about it. It is.
- 5:41Speaker 5: It's twenty one stages. Yeah, they get two or three
- 5:44Speaker 5: rest days those twenty one stages, and almost every stage
- 5:47Speaker 5: is over.
- 5:47Speaker 2: One hundred mile long.
- 5:49Speaker 5: Yeah, and this is like they're going uphills, they're doing
- 5:51Speaker 5: sprint every stage.
- 5:52Speaker 6: I mean they're literally mountains in France.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Like it is a it's a the Alps mountains.
- 5:57Speaker 6: They go through the Alps.
- 5:58Speaker 2: Yeah, it's crazy. Yeah they go.
- 6:01Speaker 5: Yeah, there's there's a couple of mountains they do every year,
- 6:03Speaker 5: but then they do different mountains.
- 6:05Speaker 6: That's real athletic.
- 6:05Speaker 2: So, like the mountain.
- 6:06Speaker 5: Stages are super exciting because that's when like the GCS,
- 6:09Speaker 5: the leaders, like that's when the top leaders attack each other.
- 6:12Speaker 2: That's when like that's.
- 6:13Speaker 6: Where do they try to like knock each other off
- 6:16Speaker 6: their bikes.
- 6:17Speaker 5: No, but in sprints you will see them like head
- 6:20Speaker 5: button and like shoulder and each other to like get
- 6:23Speaker 5: lanes for that's crazy.
- 6:25Speaker 6: No, they don't, like what if they like chuck someone
- 6:27Speaker 6: off a mountain on accident?
- 6:28Speaker 2: Do you remember that.
- 6:29Speaker 5: Old video game was called Watch Road Road Rage or
- 6:33Speaker 5: road Rash. Remember it was a motor motorcycles and you
- 6:37Speaker 5: had like chains and whips and you're hitting the people.
- 6:39Speaker 6: That sounds fun.
- 6:42Speaker 3: Now you can implement that into the tour I'm in.
- 6:45Speaker 5: Yeah, have y'all did y'all start? I told you all
- 6:49Speaker 5: to watch the documentary they're starting it. Anybody.
- 6:55Speaker 6: I was kind of busy.
- 6:58Speaker 4: I actually don't remember this conversation. Where is the doctor?
- 7:01Speaker 5: Right?
- 7:02Speaker 2: Netflix?
- 7:02Speaker 5: It's like it's like one of those good like sports
- 7:06Speaker 5: f ones and like full swing.
- 7:09Speaker 2: It's just like that. What's it called. I don't even know.
- 7:13Speaker 4: Wow, I don't know.
- 7:14Speaker 2: It's a toward France documentary. There's one.
- 7:17Speaker 4: It's yeah, but like if I'm trying to search it,
- 7:21Speaker 4: let's ride.
- 7:22Speaker 5: That's okay, all right, it just takes one little quick google.
- 7:29Speaker 5: It's called Tour de France Unchained.
- 7:32Speaker 6: No, it's not unchained.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Let's go.
- 7:36Speaker 6: Oh yeah.
- 7:37Speaker 7: Netflix has really good sports documentaries.
- 7:42Speaker 3: A little clip of the the Joe Burrow quarterbacking to
- 7:45Speaker 3: pick out his clothes.
- 7:46Speaker 6: Wait, is he going to have the docs?
- 7:49Speaker 2: So they're they're bringing QB back on their back.
- 7:53Speaker 4: It's him Golf Cousins again for some reason.
- 7:56Speaker 3: Hey, whoa because it's Kirkans.
- 7:58Speaker 4: Okay, Cousins is nice, he's very boring and he's not
- 8:01Speaker 4: a starter anymore.
- 8:02Speaker 3: So I just kind of Joe.
- 8:04Speaker 6: Golf, Jared kirk Cousins, and Joe Burrow.
- 8:08Speaker 4: There might be another one, but those are the three.
- 8:10Speaker 3: I think I think you were sold at Burrow. Yeah,
- 8:12Speaker 3: let's don't. Let's don't play games.
- 8:14Speaker 4: I think we all know the response was, Borrow has
- 8:18Speaker 4: a documentary, so I think I think she doesn't really
- 8:22Speaker 4: need to know.
- 8:22Speaker 3: The other true I know l T Ladaian Thomlinson is
- 8:27Speaker 3: he's getting a Netflix doc as well. I don't know how.
- 8:30Speaker 2: Many episodes it is for what maybe like six?
- 8:33Speaker 3: I think just like his his career, his path and
- 8:36Speaker 3: how it all played out and everything. So do you know
- 8:39Speaker 3: that's coming out. That's just that's his closest we'll ever
- 8:42Speaker 3: get to having Fullback. That's his close because I'm sure
- 8:48Speaker 3: he's gonna talk about but.
- 8:50Speaker 2: We got to make Fullback. We can make our little
- 8:53Speaker 2: parody I have.
- 8:55Speaker 3: So I've talked about that is an idea I've talked about.
- 8:58Speaker 3: Don't call it a comeback, as an idea, like I
- 9:01Speaker 3: really think that that show could really work. It was
- 9:07Speaker 3: You've got a group of twelve players that are all
- 9:11Speaker 3: no names from the NFL now, not superstars, but no
- 9:15Speaker 3: names like guys that played were vested veterans in the
- 9:20Speaker 3: NFL and a casual fan wouldn't know, oh yeah, I
- 9:22Speaker 3: remember that guy.
- 9:23Speaker 2: Right.
- 9:24Speaker 3: You get twelve of those guys, all right, and they
- 9:26Speaker 3: got to be retired for like two years at least
- 9:29Speaker 3: two years, and you give them three months to get ready,
- 9:35Speaker 3: and during that get ready period, you're filming all of
- 9:38Speaker 3: these older players that a lot of people know and
- 9:40Speaker 3: love and whatever. And then you have the finale, right,
- 9:46Speaker 3: so you're leading into them working getting back into it,
- 9:49Speaker 3: and the finale is whoever wins the competition gets a
- 9:54Speaker 3: one year guaranteed UFL contract guaranteed like half million dollars,
- 9:59Speaker 3: they get the UFA.
- 10:00Speaker 2: They all have to be the same position.
- 10:01Speaker 3: Then No, it's like it's like just different competitions will
- 10:06Speaker 3: come up with some crazy ideas. Really, no, lineman, no
- 10:09Speaker 3: offense to your linement.
- 10:10Speaker 2: I love you.
- 10:11Speaker 3: Probably skill players, probably a lot of running backs, linebackers, receivers.
- 10:17Speaker 4: You may not have watched this. Michael Irvin did this
- 10:22Speaker 4: one time.
- 10:23Speaker 3: It was average Joe's though. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm
- 10:26Speaker 3: talking about now. I'm talking about like Bobby Carpenters in
- 10:30Speaker 3: my remembers in maybe these two goofballs are in the show.
- 10:34Speaker 4: Andrew Hawkins was on NFL Network now and did that
- 10:37Speaker 4: like he got he made it from that show. So
- 10:40Speaker 4: it was it was basically like he did like college
- 10:42Speaker 4: guys that had either gotten heard or passed over, they'd
- 10:45Speaker 4: never made it to the NFL before.
- 10:46Speaker 3: Which was cool.
- 10:47Speaker 2: Watched he took like ten.
- 10:49Speaker 4: The Cowboys Facility Final four and then like Jerry picked
- 10:52Speaker 4: one at the end and like they but.
- 10:54Speaker 3: This is like you maybe you know these names. Yeah,
- 10:57Speaker 3: I hate Jarvis Landry, Like jar had a great career,
- 11:01Speaker 3: would be one kind of you know, been out for
- 11:03Speaker 3: the game for a little bit. Give him a couple
- 11:06Speaker 3: of months ago, train a reality TV show. Hey he's
- 11:09Speaker 3: got it. Hey you got to add some entertainment. Yeah, right,
- 11:13Speaker 3: don't call it a comeback and you get.
- 11:16Speaker 2: Your boy can still spend it. I hate to say,
- 11:19Speaker 2: I hate to say this, and.
- 11:21Speaker 3: You get you get half a million dollars?
- 11:22Speaker 2: Do you? You hate to hate to say to say that.
- 11:25Speaker 2: Y'all if it's a if it's a skills competition, y'all
- 11:28Speaker 2: got no shot.
- 11:31Speaker 3: So that's my pilot. If you want to pick it up,
- 11:35Speaker 3: hit us up.
- 11:36Speaker 4: The shows executive producers, Yeah, the shows they pick up,
- 11:41Speaker 4: this would be way better.
- 11:42Speaker 7: Executive is like more money than just a regular right
- 11:47Speaker 7: stock in.
- 11:48Speaker 2: What kind of drama are we creating? Though?
- 11:49Speaker 3: Like what kind of us where a b comes in? Yeah,
- 11:52Speaker 3: ab uh, you know Bobby Carpenter in the weight room
- 11:55Speaker 3: trying to Max and doesn't hit his goal weight, Like
- 11:57Speaker 3: that's gonna be he's making appearance.
- 12:00Speaker 5: You throw everybody on a UFL training camp or off season.
- 12:04Speaker 6: We put them all in the same house because the
- 12:06Speaker 6: drop in.
- 12:07Speaker 5: The same house, you got to go to different teams,
- 12:10Speaker 5: back up their lunch, and go to practice.
- 12:13Speaker 6: How about petition.
- 12:15Speaker 5: Definitely gonna be lots of injuries, a lot of injuries,
- 12:19Speaker 5: a lot of achilles.
- 12:21Speaker 7: Maybe it's because I'm watching uh Love Island right now,
- 12:24Speaker 7: But what if we like vote them out or they
- 12:26Speaker 7: vote each other out, or if they fell, they got
- 12:30Speaker 7: to leave the house.
- 12:31Speaker 6: That's how you create it for sure.
- 12:36Speaker 5: That's kind of like that's kind of like survivor, like
- 12:38Speaker 5: you you gotta be good, which you can't be too good.
- 12:41Speaker 4: This is way better than half the things on TV
- 12:43Speaker 4: right now. Mayen Max last night, and there is a
- 12:47Speaker 4: real show titled F Boy Island. Okay and at a
- 12:53Speaker 4: girl Island. They don't want a different one way or
- 12:57Speaker 4: the other.
- 12:57Speaker 7: Yeah, they ever like come together on the same island.
- 13:00Speaker 7: Believe it you f boy and girl or not? What
- 13:05Speaker 7: about like, okay, so what if on the don't call
- 13:08Speaker 7: it a comeback show?
- 13:09Speaker 6: So on Love Island they drop bombshells in there.
- 13:12Speaker 7: What if we drop like an OnlyFans model that they've
- 13:15Speaker 7: all talked to and the like, all of a sudden,
- 13:18Speaker 7: she just shows up in the house, probly a couple
- 13:21Speaker 7: of them.
- 13:22Speaker 3: Wait a minute, you talked to him to wait. Hold up,
- 13:25Speaker 3: I'm not that.
- 13:27Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 13:27Speaker 5: There might be football players, might just be a lot
- 13:30Speaker 5: of high five Yeah, bro, you too.
- 13:39Speaker 3: All right, So throughout the show, let's just come up
- 13:42Speaker 3: with like a quarterback, a running back, a receiver, a linebacker,
- 13:47Speaker 3: a safety, a corner, the most diabolical person.
- 13:51Speaker 4: Okay, show, but I guess he's I'll go linebacker already
- 13:56Speaker 4: got it?
- 13:56Speaker 2: All right, Well, let's I got a quarterback. Let's do
- 13:59Speaker 2: to let's go head. I think we'll come up.
- 14:01Speaker 3: We'll come up with those with those last chance ufl
- 14:08Speaker 3: All right, we will step away for the first time.
- 14:10Speaker 3: We will get this thing started. When we come back.
- 14:13Speaker 3: It is otb here on this Tuesday morning.
- 14:16Speaker 1: Off the bench.
- 14:19Speaker 3: There's gonna be some cold do sekis in that. Don't
- 14:21Speaker 3: call it a comeback house. I think the house would
- 14:24Speaker 3: be sponsored, There's.
- 14:25Speaker 2: No doubt about it.
- 14:26Speaker 3: There'll be a fridge full, and that fridge will get
- 14:28Speaker 3: eliminated pretty quick. But you should always go for dose
- 14:31Speaker 3: because it's never a bad time no matter what the
- 14:35Speaker 3: situation is. Right watching the ball game, check you're at
- 14:39Speaker 3: the pool, Check you're at the beach. Like double check
- 14:41Speaker 3: you're at the lake. It might even be a triple check.
- 14:44Speaker 3: It is always a great time to go into the
- 14:46Speaker 3: fridge and grab that ice cold dough sequis drink do seqis,
- 14:50Speaker 3: go for dose, drink responsibly.
- 14:52Speaker 5: Whise coach once told Jacob and I and the rest
- 14:56Speaker 5: of the team at LSU don't try to drink every
- 14:59Speaker 5: beer and bat because they're just gonna make more, So
- 15:02Speaker 5: don't try to do it. But if you are going
- 15:04Speaker 5: to drink some beers and responsibly drinking, go for dose.
- 15:07Speaker 5: Pick up a dose. Second is a cold Mexican logger.
- 15:09Speaker 5: Oh it's delicious, ice cold and a frosty mug with
- 15:13Speaker 5: a fresh squeeze lime. Go for dose, drink responsibly, drink
- 15:16Speaker 5: do see.
- 15:41Speaker 1: From players to legends, Hester and Flynn breakdown l s
- 15:44Speaker 1: U football like only champions can.
- 15:50Speaker 8: Of This morning, you heard the TV about disaster in
- 15:59Speaker 8: the world, and it made me wonder where I'm going.
- 16:05Speaker 8: This Roman's darkness sin over, But I see beauty left
- 16:11Speaker 8: a new girl and watch your kid let me then
- 16:16Speaker 8: I'll be all.
- 16:35Speaker 2: See today is going to be a good day, all JT.
- 16:38Speaker 2: Every day is a good day.
- 16:40Speaker 3: It is because you hear yes, Monday it was Monday
- 16:46Speaker 3: was on an hour a sleepy it's a long break.
- 16:49Speaker 2: Good Lord blessed us with opening our eyes in the morning.
- 16:53Speaker 6: Yeah, true, you're right.
- 16:55Speaker 2: Perspective, breath and our lungs.
- 16:57Speaker 6: Incredible voices, voices, I mean we just hit that.
- 17:04Speaker 2: I would.
- 17:06Speaker 5: We all have pretty darn good voices, maybe the best
- 17:09Speaker 5: voices song.
- 17:10Speaker 3: Birds of generation.
- 17:11Speaker 6: Yeah, I feel like we could definitively say that.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:16Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I mean y'all heard our under Yeah.
- 17:22Speaker 2: Do we have the technology in studio the auto tune?
- 17:26Speaker 6: I mean I could probably figure it out like T
- 17:29Speaker 6: Pain turn it.
- 17:30Speaker 3: Onto T Pain and T Pain didn't even need it no,
- 17:34Speaker 3: which is crazy.
- 17:35Speaker 2: Do you ever hear it?
- 17:36Speaker 4: It's like live concerts cool.
- 17:39Speaker 3: I mean, look, ye bought it.
- 17:41Speaker 6: I mean it was like.
- 17:41Speaker 4: As a as a ten year old listener and I'm like,
- 17:46Speaker 4: how does he sound like that?
- 17:47Speaker 2: How does he do it?
- 17:49Speaker 4: I bought into it.
- 17:51Speaker 2: Was T Pain, the one that rhymed it was cancer. Yeah, yeah,
- 17:56Speaker 2: we played it with him. Yeah, legend, legend, Look, that's
- 18:00Speaker 2: a JT song. We can play that again today. It
- 18:03Speaker 2: was also on I'm on a Boat. Yeah, it's a classic.
- 18:11Speaker 2: I think we forget how good that song really is.
- 18:14Speaker 3: I think I think we also forget what we usould
- 18:15Speaker 3: get away with at six to eight we play songs
- 18:19Speaker 3: like that.
- 18:20Speaker 2: We played one song by Andy Sandberg and justin Timberlake.
- 18:24Speaker 5: We did no way did We didn't know if we
- 18:26Speaker 5: could so live on air. We cold called Gordie and
- 18:30Speaker 5: asked him if we could play it.
- 18:31Speaker 3: It was like yeah, blank in the box.
- 18:34Speaker 2: He goes, shoot, go for it.
- 18:35Speaker 3: We're like all right, all right, and we did. We
- 18:39Speaker 3: played seven at night. Nobody really cared nor nobody, Yeah nobody.
- 18:44Speaker 6: Nobody was going to call the SCC. Like guys that
- 18:48Speaker 6: worked there.
- 18:49Speaker 5: Remember that South Park episode where it became legal on
- 18:53Speaker 5: Basic Cable to say the S word Yeah, And they
- 18:58Speaker 5: decided that like just become okay, And so they had
- 19:02Speaker 5: a counter at the top, kind of like a dead
- 19:05Speaker 5: body count, like a in an action movie. It was
- 19:08Speaker 5: how many times they could say the S word.
- 19:11Speaker 3: Oh, that's where you got it from.
- 19:13Speaker 5: Yeah, But it was you know, I was pushing the
- 19:19Speaker 5: envelope over there at South Park.
- 19:20Speaker 3: So you have dropped one a Landra ahead just at
- 19:24Speaker 3: one because I got cold, I say, incredibly close to
- 19:29Speaker 3: saying the F word. No, I mean I said some
- 19:33Speaker 3: syllables of it and didn't finish it. It's whenever else
- 19:37Speaker 3: you would hire Brian Kelly. There's some people that kind
- 19:41Speaker 3: of down on it whatever, And so I was trying to,
- 19:43Speaker 3: you know, kind of go over the resume and go
- 19:45Speaker 3: over the record, and I think at the end I
- 19:46Speaker 3: was like, let's blanket go.
- 19:48Speaker 2: And oh boy, it's hard to not.
- 19:51Speaker 6: I mean, it's so hard. I did almost call.
- 19:54Speaker 3: I caught myself at the very end.
- 19:57Speaker 6: I did almost call Flinn a little bit the other
- 19:59Speaker 6: day during Dear de Landra.
- 20:02Speaker 2: One.
- 20:02Speaker 6: Yeah, and then because remember he was being sensitive like
- 20:08Speaker 6: my boss, like the boss boss a little bit. But
- 20:13Speaker 6: I also.
- 20:16Speaker 7: One time on a hot mic, asked Bill Francs if
- 20:18Speaker 7: he needed a an X.
- 20:19Speaker 2: So remember that, which is like bops hot mike situation.
- 20:26Speaker 6: Yeah, which if you know Bill, he does not need.
- 20:29Speaker 2: No, he does not, You can say the B word.
- 20:31Speaker 3: It just has to be like, yeah, I'm sure you've
- 20:37Speaker 3: never done.
- 20:37Speaker 4: By multiple the one I was telling you all the
- 20:40Speaker 4: other day. He was like Jacob Bec's second day working here.
- 20:44Speaker 4: He had to do a f r R because Moscone
- 20:46Speaker 4: is out, Musso is hosting, and it wasn't Beck's fault,
- 20:49Speaker 4: Like white Orbit is froze. It'll do that from time
- 20:52Speaker 4: to time, so it freezes. And me and Moose were
- 20:55Speaker 4: chatting about something during the segment and Beck forgot to
- 20:58Speaker 4: turn my mic off and Musa is like, oh crap,
- 21:00Speaker 4: it's frozen. It came over here and I said, the
- 21:02Speaker 4: amount of yes in this room that doesn't work. It
- 21:05Speaker 4: is so ridiculous. And then it just it got all
- 21:08Speaker 4: picked up. Yeah, people had a little fun with that one,
- 21:10Speaker 4: and I felt like there was another time probably, but.
- 21:14Speaker 3: I remember I remember daring T Bobs. I'm calling him,
- 21:16Speaker 3: I'm calling Rivers, I'm calling like everybody. Like at that time,
- 21:19Speaker 3: I was like, oh, By, it's hot because it was extended,
- 21:24Speaker 3: very hot, it was spicy.
- 21:27Speaker 5: I'm pretty sure I dropped the enough bump on the
- 21:29Speaker 5: Late night show one time, like I was talking about
- 21:31Speaker 5: a backup quarterback or something.
- 21:33Speaker 2: I was getting fired up. Yebhut it oh. I remember
- 21:36Speaker 2: late night Radio like there was and it just like
- 21:39Speaker 2: came out.
- 21:39Speaker 5: I was just getting fired up about it, and it
- 21:41Speaker 5: was just like one of those left g situations.
- 21:46Speaker 2: Those will get you, Those will get you.
- 21:48Speaker 3: That's where you get in trouble. That's where you get
- 21:50Speaker 3: in trouble. All right, Uh, I mean, might as well

- 23:03Speaker 3: All right, So with media Day on the horizon, we
- 23:06Speaker 3: were trying to think. Flynn and I were trying to
- 23:07Speaker 3: think of a question that we wanted to ask whoever
- 23:12Speaker 3: sat down with us, Like we wanted to have one
- 23:15Speaker 3: core question. Okay, no matter who it is, no matter
- 23:18Speaker 3: who sits down, this is what we're going with. And
- 23:21Speaker 3: I think we landed on do you know who Jonathan
- 23:25Speaker 3: Moxon is? How do we feel about that? Because I
- 23:28Speaker 3: think what high school team did, well, there's no way
- 23:31Speaker 3: they're getting that, you don't think, So that will be
- 23:33Speaker 3: a bonus question. If they know who Max is, then
- 23:35Speaker 3: we ask him which high school he played quarterback for.
- 23:38Speaker 6: I feel like, if you know who he is, you
- 23:39Speaker 6: know the high school?
- 23:40Speaker 3: Yeah for sure, Yeah, for sure, you would hope.
- 23:42Speaker 4: So they do say it a lot in the movie.
- 23:45Speaker 3: How many how many players do we think are going
- 23:49Speaker 3: to know the answer to that? How many y'all normally
- 23:51Speaker 3: gets three per team, three players per team, but for
- 23:54Speaker 3: the morning show we'll probably interview ten players.
- 23:59Speaker 4: I think three.
- 24:00Speaker 3: That's a question if they know who Jonathan Moxon is?
- 24:04Speaker 6: Oh, how many of them are?
- 24:06Speaker 3: Do you know who JONATHANX?
- 24:08Speaker 6: Varsity Blues?
- 24:08Speaker 3: Okay, thank god, you scared me for a little bit.
- 24:11Speaker 3: I know you scared me for just a little bit.
- 24:13Speaker 2: I know you are.
- 24:14Speaker 3: I know, like so I didn't even question it at first,
- 24:17Speaker 3: but then you're like, what's hold up?
- 24:18Speaker 2: Wait a minute?
- 24:20Speaker 3: All right, Yeah, I was how many actually know who
- 24:23Speaker 3: he is?
- 24:24Speaker 2: Man?
- 24:24Speaker 7: I feel like if you actually I don't know because
- 24:27Speaker 7: I never played for anything, but like, if you played football,
- 24:29Speaker 7: you've seen Varsity Blues right.
- 24:31Speaker 3: Right, have to, I would think. So let me tell
- 24:33Speaker 3: you something. I'm gonna be honest with you. If r
- 24:37Speaker 3: QB one doesn't get it, I'm gonna be highly dist.
- 24:41Speaker 4: Q He's from Texas. The movie was based out of there.
- 24:45Speaker 5: I'm gonna say that, like, you know, in that kind
- 24:49Speaker 5: of situation where you're definitely not thinking about that question,
- 24:51Speaker 5: because it's gonna be like a snap question.
- 24:53Speaker 2: It's gonna be just right there. Hey whos Johnny?
- 24:56Speaker 3: Okay, if we get out here, Hey who Jonathan Boxin.
- 24:58Speaker 2: Are they gonna be able to I know it? Is?
- 25:01Speaker 5: It gonna be one of the situations where they can't
- 25:03Speaker 5: recall it and they're like.
- 25:04Speaker 2: Ah, man, I can't remember who is that? Who is that?
- 25:06Speaker 2: And then it's over and they walk off there in
- 25:08Speaker 2: the elevator, and I was like.
- 25:10Speaker 4: That's that's why I'm going three out of ten, Like,
- 25:12Speaker 4: I think more know it than that. I think three
- 25:14Speaker 4: will know it well enough to answer it.
- 25:15Speaker 2: On the S three I think the over unders probably
- 25:18Speaker 2: said it two and a half.
- 25:19Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, we're a little disappointed.
- 25:23Speaker 2: Crew.
- 25:24Speaker 5: Okay, I'm gonna tell you if there is a team
- 25:28Speaker 5: where their players do know it, like all.
- 25:31Speaker 2: Three across, I'm jumping on that back.
- 25:33Speaker 3: So let me tell you if it's nus Meyer and
- 25:37Speaker 3: what weeks, which I assume it's going to be, I
- 25:39Speaker 3: don't know, they're both gonna know.
- 25:41Speaker 2: That's right there. Now, Who the third player for l
- 25:44Speaker 2: s U is.
- 25:45Speaker 3: That's gonna be very important because they go three for three,
- 25:48Speaker 3: Natty guaranteed, that's guaranteed. It was, Yes, it was it
- 25:54Speaker 3: was Perk Myern.
- 25:55Speaker 2: Who was Josh Williams?
- 25:57Speaker 4: Yeah, because who else would have known he's from the
- 26:01Speaker 4: Houston area.
- 26:02Speaker 2: Josh would have known.
- 26:03Speaker 3: I'm give him the benefit of the doubt that he
- 26:05Speaker 3: would have known. All right, it's important.
- 26:09Speaker 6: Well mm hmm definitely with nuts.
- 26:19Speaker 4: Who else has always I'll tell you who I would
- 26:23Speaker 4: like to see it be. I would really like it
- 26:26Speaker 4: to beat you. Cobe and Guillory. Oh yeah, he's been
- 26:29Speaker 4: six years. He's come off from multiple bad injuries. He's
- 26:32Speaker 4: stuck around like I would like for it to be
- 26:34Speaker 4: Guillory Willoughby.
- 26:35Speaker 3: I don't know, but Jordan Gilbert maybe in that Gilbert
- 26:40Speaker 3: veteran player.
- 26:41Speaker 2: He's a veteran guy Stamps.
- 26:44Speaker 4: Maybe this is his third year hopefully playing significant time.
- 26:49Speaker 2: Could be Aaron Anderson. Anderson is another watching and.
- 26:54Speaker 3: A good thing is guys, we got candidates? Oh yeah,
- 26:57Speaker 3: I means you got some veteran players that are that's
- 27:01Speaker 3: good and you can, you know, debate who the third
- 27:03Speaker 3: player would be.
- 27:04Speaker 2: So what should we ask the coaches? Do you know
- 27:09Speaker 2: who Jeff Less?
- 27:12Speaker 4: It's like, because I don't do you know who?
- 27:15Speaker 2: You keep hearing about? Guy?
- 27:17Speaker 3: Could you tell me who he is?
- 27:19Speaker 2: There's no way your school.
- 27:20Speaker 6: Did Jeff Levy go to?
- 27:22Speaker 2: YEP?
- 27:24Speaker 6: I needn't know who.
- 27:25Speaker 2: I think if you're actually thinking about it.
- 27:27Speaker 7: I need the list so that I can like deep
- 27:30Speaker 7: dive on these people and give y'all some crazy ass
- 27:33Speaker 7: facts about them so you can nard wore them or
- 27:36Speaker 7: like Sean.
- 27:38Speaker 4: They haven't they haven't announced it yet. I know I'm
- 27:40Speaker 4: taking the end of the day to day has gotta
- 27:43Speaker 4: be right.
- 27:44Speaker 3: We gotta get these laminations going.
- 27:46Speaker 2: You're less than we.
- 27:49Speaker 6: You laminate your index cards home, laminator, you got dang right.
- 27:55Speaker 2: I got one in my office.
- 27:57Speaker 3: I got a laminator. That's what I do my play
- 27:59Speaker 3: sheets with football.
- 28:00Speaker 2: Uh but yes, you can dry race on them. You can.
- 28:03Speaker 2: That's exactly why you do it. Yeah, you get a
- 28:05Speaker 2: dry race.
- 28:05Speaker 3: Marker, and there's no doubt I will have a lamination
- 28:10Speaker 3: and it will have note cards within the lamination.
- 28:12Speaker 2: That's a good idea.
- 28:15Speaker 5: Let's laminate some just football formations and then tell them
- 28:19Speaker 5: to drop. Tell them to draw the favor play against
- 28:23Speaker 5: my defense.
- 28:24Speaker 6: Tell me why, or get like a little whiteboard, well.
- 28:27Speaker 2: Like that because there's gonna be a lot of qbs
- 28:28Speaker 2: there too.
- 28:31Speaker 7: Or draw you up your own play and tell them.
- 28:33Speaker 7: I guess they wouldn't. No, Actually, you.
- 28:34Speaker 3: Could, like for a defender, you could do that yeah, like, hey,
- 28:38Speaker 3: I'm drawing up this two man rock combination on both sides.
- 28:42Speaker 2: Hey, let's spit all this, let's spitball this.
- 28:44Speaker 5: Should we get one of those just like two foot
- 28:47Speaker 5: you know what, eighteen by twenty four dry race borts.
- 28:49Speaker 6: I don't know how big like you can get one.
- 28:53Speaker 6: I was thinking like a little handheld one.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Now we're gonna make Rivers roll that son of a
- 28:57Speaker 2: gun in there.
- 28:58Speaker 3: Okay, we need you to roll in the This was
- 29:01Speaker 3: the big white board.
- 29:02Speaker 2: Because we're like this.
- 29:06Speaker 6: I like that too, great idea, the idea.
- 29:10Speaker 3: Just four heads get together, like he's not only the
- 29:12Speaker 3: king of hydration, he's a king IDAs I did man
- 29:18Speaker 3: all right, So when we come back, I do you
- 29:20Speaker 3: mentioned Caden Durham, you know, being a name that hey,
- 29:22Speaker 3: maybe he goes to media day. I do want to
- 29:24Speaker 3: talk about the running game because you said it yesterday.
- 29:30Speaker 3: It wasn't where it needs to be, and it wasn't
- 29:32Speaker 3: because of Caden Durham. There was a lot of factors
- 29:34Speaker 3: that played into it. You had an offensive line that
- 29:37Speaker 3: was really good in past protection, but they did struggle
- 29:40Speaker 3: in the run game.
- 29:41Speaker 2: What can you do as.
- 29:43Speaker 3: A play caller to be diverse and be creative in
- 29:47Speaker 3: your play calling. We'll break down kind of what their
- 29:49Speaker 3: runs were a year ago, what we expect and Caden
- 29:51Speaker 3: Dorham also fully healthy now and uh, you know some
- 29:56Speaker 3: issues with his foot. Gosh, basically the entire season, but
- 29:59Speaker 3: certainly the entire back half of the season. Because Garrett
- 30:03Speaker 3: Nesmyer was great last year. Imagine if he had a
- 30:07Speaker 3: running game to go with the weapons that he has.
- 30:09Speaker 3: We'll talk about it next one we come back here
- 30:11Speaker 3: on OTV. Off the bench, all right, Go to All
- 30:16Speaker 3: Star Toyota of baton Rouge dot com.
- 30:18Speaker 2: All Star toy Batonrouge dot.

- 30:37Speaker 3: and you're like, man, we've got so much extra stuff.
- 30:39Speaker 3: There's no way that our vehicle is going to be comfortable.
- 30:41Speaker 3: Per day rental prices rent a Toyota for a week,

- 31:11Speaker 2: Own, whatever it is. I'll start to at batanroogs dot com.
- 31:14Speaker 2: Well I'm looking at you.
- 31:15Speaker 4: What am I keep looking at me?
- 31:20Speaker 6: You scared?
- 31:20Speaker 2: Now? Right?
- 31:24Speaker 1: Tigers turn talkers. This is off the bench, so good right, listen.
- 31:36Speaker 8: Common notice then one night you love the full face.
- 31:44Speaker 3: It's gone.
- 31:45Speaker 8: It's me yes tonight if it's up to me and
- 31:49Speaker 8: the face will change.
- 31:52Speaker 1: Is a smile?
- 31:56Speaker 2: All right?
- 31:57Speaker 3: Welcome back again, O t B here on this to
- 32:00Speaker 3: Day morning. Talked about it yesterday, talked about a little
- 32:07Speaker 3: bit today, the LSU running game. What did it look
- 32:11Speaker 3: like a year ago? Well, you had some quality backs,
- 32:14Speaker 3: you had Kaden Durham, you had Josh Williams, but you
- 32:16Speaker 3: were wanting a little bit more and you felt like
- 32:18Speaker 3: there was more in there, and I thought the running
- 32:22Speaker 3: backs actually did a nice job for what was given
- 32:26Speaker 3: to them, what was in front of them. I thought
- 32:28Speaker 3: they did a nice job. There was times where they did,
- 32:31Speaker 3: like Caden Doram took the South Carolina game over, like
- 32:33Speaker 3: he kind of willed you to victory in that game.
- 32:37Speaker 3: I think the running back room, if Kayden Dorham can
- 32:40Speaker 3: stay healthy, is exactly where you want it to be.
- 32:43Speaker 2: Now.
- 32:44Speaker 3: You've got some young players, some very talented players, some
- 32:48Speaker 3: very highly rated players behind there. And we've said it before.
- 32:52Speaker 3: If there's any position that can translate from high school
- 32:55Speaker 3: football to college football and be a quick transition, it
- 32:58Speaker 3: is the running back position. The Good Lord either made
- 33:01Speaker 3: you to run the football or he didn't. He either
- 33:03Speaker 3: made you to be able to read a blocking scheme
- 33:06Speaker 3: or he didn't. That's just the way I believe it,
- 33:08Speaker 3: So I have always believed it. L Shu's got a
- 33:10Speaker 3: couple of really nice ones. You got Caleb Jackson still
- 33:12Speaker 3: there on the squad as well as a veteran player.
- 33:15Speaker 3: We'll see what his development and his growth looks like
- 33:17Speaker 3: as well.
- 33:18Speaker 5: I remember, so I went to a training camp practice
- 33:21Speaker 5: last year and I was watching a scrimmage yep, and
- 33:26Speaker 5: I didn't know who it was at that I didn't
- 33:27Speaker 5: know it was Cayleb Jackson running the ball.
- 33:29Speaker 3: You texted me who's number twenty eight?
- 33:30Speaker 5: Said, who is number twenty eight? And I was like,
- 33:34Speaker 5: oh my god, he nearly killed the guy. He ran
- 33:37Speaker 5: somebody over in the open field and it was a
- 33:39Speaker 5: linebacker two was it with? Yeah, Oh my god. Sorry
- 33:43Speaker 5: with the know that was you, wasn't going to call
- 33:45Speaker 5: you out, but man, he did. He ran him over
- 33:47Speaker 5: and was so impressive on that one drive that I
- 33:50Speaker 5: went on. And at the time you had mentioned that
- 33:53Speaker 5: really talented and all the skills in the world kind
- 33:56Speaker 5: of struggled with some ball security issues. I would expect
- 34:00Speaker 5: vision issues and some vision issues. Yeah, I would expect that.
- 34:04Speaker 5: Vision is one of those things that you either have
- 34:07Speaker 5: it naturally. It's hard to gain, but you can gain it,
- 34:10Speaker 5: like you can get better at it. But if you
- 34:12Speaker 5: don't have it naturally, it's always going to be kind
- 34:14Speaker 5: of an uphill battle challenge.
- 34:17Speaker 2: And you would know it better than me.
- 34:18Speaker 5: You had great vision and it was a natural thing
- 34:20Speaker 5: for you, but you certainly played with very talented running
- 34:23Speaker 5: backs that didn't have that right. But you can get it,
- 34:26Speaker 5: and you can hit some home runs too with it,
- 34:29Speaker 5: Like you if you read it right and you understand
- 34:31Speaker 5: and have to have a really good offensive line coach.
- 34:35Speaker 3: Wow, what is blocked in front of you to be
- 34:39Speaker 3: the starter right, because you can't hit the home runs,
- 34:43Speaker 3: hit your head with go posts like we talk about
- 34:45Speaker 3: if you don't respect the blocking scheme, like that's what
- 34:50Speaker 3: gets the place started. Now, once you get to the
- 34:52Speaker 3: second level, then your athletic ability can take over your
- 34:57Speaker 3: you know, dynamic playmaking ability in the open feel, it
- 35:00Speaker 3: can take over. But if you try to do that
- 35:02Speaker 3: from the get go, which l Shu's had some running
- 35:04Speaker 3: backs in the past that have been incredibly talented, but
- 35:06Speaker 3: they've done that. That's the one thing that is difficult
- 35:09Speaker 3: to go from high school to college because in high school,
- 35:12Speaker 3: you were given the football and you just like you know,
- 35:16Speaker 3: halfway pressed it and then just bounced it outside and
- 35:18Speaker 3: went to the house.
- 35:20Speaker 2: You can't do that in this league.
- 35:22Speaker 5: In high school, you can bounce it outside and beat
- 35:24Speaker 5: everybody of the edge. But let's also step back and say,
- 35:30Speaker 5: let's also not hit our running backs too hard on
- 35:34Speaker 5: the vision aspect, because our running game in blocking last
- 35:38Speaker 5: year did not create clear reads and clear paths.
- 35:41Speaker 2: So it was kind of a challenge. It was a
- 35:43Speaker 2: little bit of like a guess or like, man, nothing's.
- 35:46Speaker 5: Clearing up for me, so I'm just gonna have to
- 35:48Speaker 5: put my head down and run through the big gap, yeah,
- 35:49Speaker 5: and see what I can get. So they we didn't
- 35:52Speaker 5: make clear blocking lanes, and so that is one thing
- 35:55Speaker 5: that as LSU fans we have to hope we're improving.
- 35:58Speaker 5: That is not only the way we block things, but schematically,
- 36:02Speaker 5: what plays are we calling and what downs?
- 36:04Speaker 3: How are we ran inside zone? To your point, and.
- 36:08Speaker 5: When you do that, when you're running too much of
- 36:10Speaker 5: one or two certain plays, especially in very specific down
- 36:13Speaker 5: in distances like we were very predictable when it came
- 36:16Speaker 5: to the must need situations.
- 36:19Speaker 2: Now you can get a little creative.
- 36:20Speaker 5: It's easier in first and second down when the offense
- 36:24Speaker 5: on regular down and distance, regular situations, then you can
- 36:27Speaker 5: get a little bit more creative because the defense doesn't
- 36:30Speaker 5: really know what's happening. But when push came to shove
- 36:32Speaker 5: last year on when we needed a half a yard
- 36:36Speaker 5: or we needed one yard or whatever it was third
- 36:38Speaker 5: or fourth down, there was not that many plays we
- 36:41Speaker 5: were calling and so the defense only has one thing
- 36:44Speaker 5: to respond to. They watch film, they get prepared, and
- 36:49Speaker 5: you base your game plan. You base how your instincts,
- 36:51Speaker 5: how you play, how you attack the blocker, which shoulder
- 36:55Speaker 5: I'm attacking on the blocker, how I'm ripping his arms?
- 36:58Speaker 5: Like what am I doing? Where am I eyes in
- 37:00Speaker 5: the backfield as I'm attacking the shoulder of an offensive lineman?
- 37:04Speaker 2: What am I reading?
- 37:05Speaker 5: And when you're predictable and when you and you can
- 37:09Speaker 5: be predictable if you got some badass dudes blocking right,
- 37:12Speaker 5: we did it when we played teams do it all
- 37:15Speaker 5: the time, like you know we're running it. I know
- 37:17Speaker 5: we're running it. Let's see who can win. But we
- 37:19Speaker 5: just didn't win those, so that was easier. So as
- 37:22Speaker 5: LSU fans, we got to hope that the creativity gets
- 37:24Speaker 5: a little bit better. But of course we got to
- 37:26Speaker 5: hope that. And I'm not trying to knock anybody, because
- 37:29Speaker 5: our offensive line last year was amazing at pass blocking and.
- 37:33Speaker 3: That's what they were there for.
- 37:35Speaker 5: Like you, if you're an offensive coordinator or head coach
- 37:38Speaker 5: and you say, these guys are incredible at pass blocking,
- 37:41Speaker 5: but maybe not the best run blocking unit.
- 37:44Speaker 2: That we've ever had.
- 37:45Speaker 5: That's the sacrifice you make for that pass blocking, especially
- 37:48Speaker 5: with a quarterback and receiving corps like we had last year.
- 37:51Speaker 3: So one of the things that I just as a
- 37:55Speaker 3: running back, I can't imagine what it would be like. Okay,
- 37:59Speaker 3: so you're running all these things at a shotgun, right,
- 38:01Speaker 3: and that's what's in vogue. That's what everybody does. Nobody
- 38:03Speaker 3: gets under center anymore. I get that, I understand it.
- 38:06Speaker 3: But also, like when you're running inside zone as much
- 38:08Speaker 3: as you did a year ago with no threat of
- 38:11Speaker 3: your quarterback pulling that zone, you take away something that
- 38:15Speaker 3: makes that play a good play. Now, when you had Jayden,
- 38:18Speaker 3: they did a really nice job. You could run inside
- 38:20Speaker 3: zone even if he didn't pull it. You were terrified
- 38:22Speaker 3: the number five was going to pull it. Well that's
- 38:24Speaker 3: not who Garrett Neusmeyer is, and that is okay. But
- 38:27Speaker 3: when you run that play over and over again with
- 38:29Speaker 3: no threat, well you don't have to worry about it.
- 38:32Speaker 2: You got one thing you hone in on. Yep, it
- 38:34Speaker 2: is the running back.
- 38:35Speaker 3: Because if I'm a backside guy and calling the games
- 38:37Speaker 3: last year, I started to pointing it out time and
- 38:39Speaker 3: time again, that backside end that you leave unblocked, who
- 38:44Speaker 3: has to be responsible for the quarterback. By about game six,
- 38:48Speaker 3: he said, oh the hell with this, I'm just gonna
- 38:50Speaker 3: go like a bat out of hell towards a running
- 38:52Speaker 3: back because nus Meyer is not gonna pull it. And
- 38:54Speaker 3: I think nus did maybe three times total last year,
- 38:58Speaker 3: and so like that's another portion that's going to go
- 39:00Speaker 3: against your running game. And then as a running back,
- 39:04Speaker 3: when you're running zone out of gun, you're turning your
- 39:06Speaker 3: shoulders to the sideline, which in football you're never supposed
- 39:09Speaker 3: to do to get the handoff, so your eyes are
- 39:12Speaker 3: off of the defensive line, reading your keys. And then
- 39:16Speaker 3: once you turn back one your momentum has been going
- 39:20Speaker 3: sideways when their momentum has been going north and south.
- 39:24Speaker 3: Then you got to turn your shoulders. You're kind of
- 39:26Speaker 3: stopped basically at this point. Then you got to refine
- 39:29Speaker 3: wherever your key was, like when we were playing and
- 39:32Speaker 3: we were in I formation or if we were in
- 39:34Speaker 3: ACE formation. For me, I'm a running back. I'm at
- 39:36Speaker 3: seven and a half yards, i am open step crossover,
- 39:39Speaker 3: and I'm trusting Matt to get me the football. That's
- 39:43Speaker 3: his responsibility. I'm not even looking at Matt, I'm looking
- 39:46Speaker 3: at the three technique or whatever my read might be
- 39:48Speaker 3: on that play, And so when Matt gives me the football,
- 39:51Speaker 3: I'm downhill full speed and I'm I'm ready to make
- 39:55Speaker 3: my cut inside, outside, straight, like whatever it might be.
- 39:58Speaker 3: So that's a portion of it too. I was if
- 40:00Speaker 3: you're going to be in gun, get into some pistol looks.
- 40:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I would. I would assume.
- 40:04Speaker 5: I would hope that if we're gonna main stay in gun,
- 40:07Speaker 5: which nothing would ever tell me that it's not going
- 40:09Speaker 5: to like ninety nine percent of the snap is going
- 40:11Speaker 5: to be in gun because that's just college football right now.
- 40:13Speaker 2: It drives me crazy, but that we would go to
- 40:17Speaker 2: more pistol looks.
- 40:18Speaker 5: It allows you to get in more well, like you said,
- 40:21Speaker 5: it allows the running back that better vision, better momentum,
- 40:23Speaker 5: and run more basic running plays, old school like normal
- 40:28Speaker 5: football plays. But like to your point on the gear.
- 40:30Speaker 5: So I hear that all the time from people around town.
- 40:33Speaker 5: I hear it in the chat like Nuss has to
- 40:35Speaker 5: pull the ball at least once again, has to has
- 40:37Speaker 5: to because it'll I don't agree with that, and and
- 40:41Speaker 5: this is this is why I don't agree with it, because.
- 40:46Speaker 2: Just don't run the play.
- 40:47Speaker 5: Don't run his zone read where you're unblocking with Garrett's
- 40:51Speaker 5: not He's not a runner.
- 40:52Speaker 2: That's not what he does. We're not going to threaten it.
- 40:54Speaker 2: I know.
- 40:54Speaker 5: We want to pull it, like, just pull it to
- 40:56Speaker 5: create the threat. If you're a defensive coordinator and Garrett
- 40:59Speaker 5: that's my pulls it one time, it makes seven yards.
- 41:02Speaker 5: I'm still telling that defensive end go attack the running
- 41:05Speaker 5: back because Garrett Nstmayer is not going to beat our
- 41:07Speaker 5: team with his legs. Just don't run the play. Did
- 41:11Speaker 5: Tom Brady run zone read? Did Drew Brees run zon read?
- 41:15Speaker 2: No? They didn't. Just get creative?
- 41:17Speaker 5: Do normal running plays out of gun don't put that
- 41:19Speaker 5: play Like I know, I get it. I saw the
- 41:21Speaker 5: same thing everybody else did. Oh my god, that was
- 41:23Speaker 5: a pool read.
- 41:24Speaker 2: Blah blah blah. Why didn't he pull it?
- 41:26Speaker 5: He's got to, Yeah, But when you think about it,
- 41:29Speaker 5: just there are plenty of more plays out there, running
- 41:32Speaker 5: plays to call than a zone read. It's not what
- 41:36Speaker 5: he does, it's not what this offense should be. There's
- 41:39Speaker 5: plenty of other ways to get to it. And I
- 41:41Speaker 5: wish that more colleges would kind of adopt US, So
- 41:43Speaker 5: the NFL is going back to a lot more under center.
- 41:48Speaker 5: The best offense is in the NFL. So in the world, Niners, Packers, Chiefs, Bills,
- 41:55Speaker 5: they are all implementing way more underneath the center. Chargers
- 41:59Speaker 5: as well, they're doing it too, So a lot of gun.
- 42:02Speaker 5: But when you think of like, oh it's Josh Allen
- 42:04Speaker 5: or whatever, Patrick Mahomes, they got to be a gunned
- 42:06Speaker 5: as much as college kids are. No, they're getting under
- 42:08Speaker 5: center a ton. Why because it creates the threat. It
- 42:12Speaker 5: creates a threat of run. When a quarterback can turn
- 42:15Speaker 5: his back to the line of scrimm or turn his
- 42:16Speaker 5: back to the line of scrimmage, it hides the ball
- 42:18Speaker 5: for a split second.
- 42:19Speaker 2: What does that do to the defense? Freezes? It creates doubt, Yeah,
- 42:22Speaker 2: who's got the ball? Where is it? Who's he gonna
- 42:24Speaker 2: give it to? It creates a doubt.
- 42:26Speaker 5: I love gun, don't get me wrong, and I think
- 42:28Speaker 5: it's I wanted to be a gun more and more
- 42:30Speaker 5: and more. But you have to be under centered somehow,
- 42:33Speaker 5: or I wish they do well. I'm not gonna say
- 42:35Speaker 5: a half because college football is a different game. But
- 42:36Speaker 5: I'm just gonna tell you the best offenses in the
- 42:38Speaker 5: world are implementing it more and more and more.
- 42:41Speaker 3: All right, we'll close up out number one when we

- 44:28Speaker 6: Didn't know what mean such a beauty right.
- 44:32Speaker 2: Welcome back in OTV.
- 44:34Speaker 3: We did mention that LSU ran inside zone forty seven
- 44:37Speaker 3: percent of the time. We talked about this the other day,
- 44:39Speaker 3: but somebody was asking on X it was inside zone
- 44:43Speaker 3: forty seven percent of the time, outside zone fourteen percent
- 44:46Speaker 3: of the time, a man scheme four percent of the time.
- 44:50Speaker 3: Power only eight powers the entire season for two percent,
- 44:54Speaker 3: seventy seven counters which was twenty two percent, five draws,
- 44:58Speaker 3: which only was one percent of your running plays, and
- 45:00Speaker 3: a little pool lead fifteen times, which was four percent
- 45:03Speaker 3: of your running plays. And they had like five trick plays,
- 45:06Speaker 3: so probably a reverse.
- 45:08Speaker 5: Yeah, stats like first half of the season, so like
- 45:11Speaker 5: first six games, what was inside zone?
- 45:14Speaker 2: Give it to you, it was probably like eighty percent.
- 45:17Speaker 2: Feels like it. I mean we got they started to
- 45:19Speaker 2: counter change rate of.
- 45:21Speaker 5: And it was then it worked right and an inside
- 45:25Speaker 5: Don't get me wrong.
- 45:26Speaker 2: Inside zone is a great play just out of ace
- 45:30Speaker 2: formation ace formation.
- 45:33Speaker 3: I just don't love it.
- 45:35Speaker 2: Did we?
- 45:35Speaker 5: We told to Laundra last week, we're gonna teach her
- 45:38Speaker 5: what eleven and twelve personelas?
- 45:40Speaker 2: Oh we can still, I'm down. All right, we're gonna learn.
- 45:45Speaker 6: We learn the numbers like I don't know.
- 45:49Speaker 2: We'll we'll talk a little chalk talk today.
- 45:51Speaker 5: Yeah, next hour, we'll tell you all what that means
- 45:54Speaker 5: the eleven, twelve, thirty person know.
- 45:56Speaker 2: All that stuff.
- 45:56Speaker 6: I want to be a certified ball no er.
- 45:58Speaker 2: All right, all right, we'll get you off the bench.

- 46:23Speaker 3: able to share that with you as well, and that
- 46:26Speaker 3: is to Golf Coast.
- 46:27Speaker 5: It's going to be the interactive TV whiteboard, you know,
- 46:31Speaker 5: obviously sponsored by Golf Coast Office Products.
