- 0:00Speaker 1: The Big Show Extra sponsored by Farah and Farah. Here
- 0:04Speaker 1: for you, here for good, Good morning. It's the Big
- 0:07Speaker 1: Show with Froggy, John and Meghan. Froggy's getting a couple
- 0:10Speaker 1: of days off. How you doing, Meg? Doing good? Doing good?
- 0:13Speaker 1: Doing good? How was how's the bed? Because when we
- 0:17Speaker 1: last left you, you and your man had to try
- 0:20Speaker 1: to transport a bed home from Saint Augustine on Saturday
- 0:23Speaker 1: when the bottom came out and it was soaking wet.
- 0:26Speaker 1: We left it drying, with fans and all kinds of
- 0:29Speaker 1: electronic devices trying to dry it out.
- 0:31Speaker 2: We've got one side dry and the middle seems to
- 0:34Speaker 2: be dry, so one side left and my wrists are dead.
- 0:40Speaker 2: Try holding a blow dryer for that many hours. How's
- 0:44Speaker 2: your hip feeling? Are you doing any better?
- 0:46Speaker 1: You know, a tad better. It's one of those things.
- 0:48Speaker 1: I still can't figure it out. I don't know why
- 0:50Speaker 1: I can't diagnose my own pain, but I know I'm
- 0:53Speaker 1: gonna have to end up going to a doctor. I
- 0:55Speaker 1: think I should because it could be something that if
- 0:59Speaker 1: it's torn, they might need to do surgery on it.
- 1:02Speaker 1: If it's not torn, they'll just tell me, well here,
- 1:05Speaker 1: you know, do what the Internet told you to do. Yeah,
- 1:07Speaker 1: but I do need to find out if I keep wondering,
- 1:10Speaker 1: you know, a teeter, because you know, I hate going
- 1:11Speaker 1: to the doctor, and if it's not getting worse, I
- 1:14Speaker 1: think it's getting better. That's where I am right now. Okay, Well,
- 1:18Speaker 1: I know you're gonna you're my my my radio wife
- 1:23Speaker 1: that you'll be nagging me. Yeah, the voice of reason.
- 1:26Speaker 2: If I see that ad vlcandy jar getting low, I'm
- 1:29Speaker 2: going to call someone to get up here and come
- 1:31Speaker 2: get you and that Hey, if you don't want to
- 1:33Speaker 2: be in an ambulance, take care of it yourself, because
- 1:35Speaker 2: I'll call them up right and I'll lock these doors
- 1:38Speaker 2: barricage in.
- 1:39Speaker 3: Wow, you're getting on the ambulance today because my wife
- 1:42Speaker 3: is taking great care of me, great care of me.
- 1:45Speaker 3: Then I get here and you're then you're asking questions.
- 1:47Speaker 3: I'm like, do I need this at work too?
- 1:49Speaker 2: Yes?
- 1:49Speaker 1: You do. The answer is yes, Yes, we're double teaming.
- 1:52Speaker 1: I know y'all are well. I appreciate it, so hopefully
- 1:54Speaker 1: better before it gets worse. Please, let's get your role
- 1:59Speaker 1: and see what's going on. Megan's three things.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Well, we've got a wide receiver out of Mandarin named
- 2:04Speaker 2: Bryson Wright, who is just doing incredible.
- 2:07Speaker 1: He made it to the.
- 2:09Speaker 2: Top of the list for the National High School Football's
- 2:14Speaker 2: Premiere Prospects.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Yeah. ESPN's recruiting ranking. Yeah, he is number one. It's awesome.
- 2:20Speaker 2: I mean, eighteen months away from early signing day for
- 2:23Speaker 2: the twenty twenty eight class, it's crazy.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Twenty twenty Mili club. Can you believe that? That's what's crazy.
- 2:28Speaker 1: We saw him play. We go to a lot of
- 2:30Speaker 1: Mandarin games. He is amazing. He's a freaking nature and
- 2:33Speaker 1: he's the guy I don't know this before you got
- 2:35Speaker 1: here last year during a flag football thing. He's the
- 2:38Speaker 1: guy who had the viral video catching the ball backhanded. Okay,
- 2:41Speaker 1: yeah that was him. That was Bryson Wright from Mandarin
- 2:45Speaker 1: and he's good. And there's another dude from Balls, Asher
- 2:48Speaker 1: Giado is in the top ten also in that same
- 2:50Speaker 1: junior two fifties. So some as usual. I mean, Jacksonville
- 2:54Speaker 1: just turns out some great athletes.
- 2:55Speaker 2: I'm so excited for their future and they're just making
- 2:58Speaker 2: us so proud. So keep it up, keep up the
- 3:00Speaker 2: good work. Douglas Anderson School of the Arts. They've got
- 3:03Speaker 2: a six member jazz band. They call it the Da
- 3:06Speaker 2: Jazz Combo. And they've been honored by a really prestigious magazine,
- 3:10Speaker 2: the National Jazz Magazine.
- 3:12Speaker 1: Oh, Downbeat. Yeah, it's awesome. It's about that.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Yeah, they're in this what is it called, basically like
- 3:22Speaker 2: a music awards, right recognition type of.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Thing some high school. That's cool that they go into
- 3:28Speaker 1: the high schools and check them out. The Downbeat magazine
- 3:30Speaker 1: is like the prestigious magazine of jazz music. It's so
- 3:33Speaker 1: cool those guys right there. Yeah, just jamming out. I
- 3:36Speaker 1: love that.
- 3:37Speaker 2: If you're looking for something to take the kids to
- 3:39Speaker 2: do this summer, we've got a really cool thing happening
- 3:42Speaker 2: in town. Regal Cinemas and Cinema they both have these
- 3:46Speaker 2: plans in place for the family films. So for the
- 3:50Speaker 2: next ten or eleven weeks, you can get in and
- 3:52Speaker 2: see a movie for under two dollars a ticket.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Boom. Yeah, you can take all the kids. Heck week,
- 3:57Speaker 1: Froggy's off today the Megan. You'll find this in interesting.
- 4:00Speaker 1: You know that song, the billy bass thing, you know
- 4:03Speaker 1: where those billy bass the fish on the wall and
- 4:05Speaker 1: you motion detected. It turns and starts singing, take Me
- 4:07Speaker 1: to the river. Yeah, we had one. Okay, you know
- 4:11Speaker 1: that song originally a song by a soul star, Al Green,
- 4:15Speaker 1: and it was a it was a good size R
- 4:17Speaker 1: and B hit, and then Talking Heads did that song.
- 4:20Speaker 1: That's the version I know, the rock version, more of
- 4:22Speaker 1: a slowed down version of it, and they had a
- 4:25Speaker 1: minor hit with it too. But the songwriters behind the hit,
- 4:29Speaker 1: they've earned more money from the royalties from the Billy
- 4:32Speaker 1: Mouth the Big Bass delete thing. Are you kidding me? Yeah,
- 4:36Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, that's hilarious. They earn more royalties from
- 4:39Speaker 1: the Big Bass than they had from any other artists
- 4:42Speaker 1: who US covered. Includes Al Green, who co wrote the
- 4:45Speaker 1: bang song. Oh my gosh, that funny. Yeah, you never
- 4:48Speaker 1: there's money and then there Fish right there, you never know.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Let's get some music City minute from Megan. What's up? Okay?
- 4:56Speaker 2: So Alan Jackson's final concert, it's like him and friends basically.
- 5:01Speaker 2: So we have all these big names that are on
- 5:03Speaker 2: the lineup, Luke Bryan at Church, Luke Combs, Landy Wilson.
- 5:07Speaker 2: I mean, the list goes on and on and on.
- 5:09Speaker 2: But it was just announced that now George Strait is
- 5:13Speaker 2: going to be performing there. Whoa yeah, crazy and people
- 5:16Speaker 2: are wondering are they going to do their duet together?
- 5:18Speaker 1: It's called murder on music row. Okay, I remember that.
- 5:21Speaker 2: I would absolutely lose my mind to be at this concert.
- 5:25Speaker 1: I mean it's crazy. How about that George Strait joining
- 5:28Speaker 1: up with Alan Jackson. Let's get this all straight. Alan
- 5:32Speaker 1: Jackson's doing his final tour. This is his final show.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Do we know when it's going to be. It's in
- 5:35Speaker 1: Nashville right, June twenty seventh. June twenty seventh. That has
- 5:39Speaker 1: nothing to do with this five o'clock somewhere fest. No,
- 5:41Speaker 1: he won't even be at He won't even be at that,
- 5:43Speaker 1: even though his name is in it. I know people have.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Some people have already come up and said, so that
- 5:49Speaker 1: Alan Jackson's going to be down in West Paulison. You know,
- 5:52Speaker 1: I don't know why they named it that. I don't either.
- 5:54Speaker 1: It's really confused, confusing. So this is the real Alan
- 5:57Speaker 1: Jackson going to be at his real final show with
- 5:59Speaker 1: George Strait joining into the fray with everybody else.
- 6:02Speaker 2: Well, we think it's his real final show, but it's
- 6:05Speaker 2: been the final show for the last year. Uh.
- 6:09Speaker 1: We know how that works. We know how that works.
- 6:10Speaker 1: In the music buz. Yeah, you know, I just I
- 6:13Speaker 1: don't know.
- 6:13Speaker 2: The h Having yours straight here makes me feel like
- 6:15Speaker 2: this could be and it's in Nashville.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Maybe it is the last one. Maybe so I know
- 6:19Speaker 1: he's having some health issues as far as being able
- 6:22Speaker 1: to stand up and do his job and stuff. So man,
- 6:26Speaker 1: well if this is it, this is it, and what
- 6:28Speaker 1: an incredible career. Ill day and I hate how you
- 6:30Speaker 1: look Country ninety nine one wq I K. We're talking
- 6:33Speaker 1: about hate how it sounds. We were just talking. Something
- 6:35Speaker 1: came up and Megan cringed like crazy. I'm like, what
- 6:39Speaker 1: is it? And it was just all somebody was doing
- 6:41Speaker 1: was basically grabbing a cardboard box. We have some boxes
- 6:45Speaker 1: in here, and somebody was just rubbing their feet. Well
- 6:48Speaker 1: it seemed like they were digging their fingernails through it.
- 6:50Speaker 1: I cannot stand that sound. I get the h in
- 6:53Speaker 1: like my teeth, you know, like it hurts. It basically hurts.
- 6:57Speaker 1: I know that feeling of something that sounds so bad
- 7:01Speaker 1: it hurts your teeth. I get that. What does anything
- 7:03Speaker 1: bother you? Something comes to mind like that, But the sound,
- 7:06Speaker 1: you know, it drives it just drives me crazy. When
- 7:08Speaker 1: people chew gum and it pops. Oh, not when they
- 7:12Speaker 1: smack their lips or when they blow a bubble or
- 7:14Speaker 1: anything like that, but when they're when they're chewing, there's
- 7:17Speaker 1: air pockets and yeah, and that is like go ahead
- 7:22Speaker 1: and put fingernails on a chalkboard. Oh my gosh, there
- 7:27Speaker 1: is just something about that to the point I have
- 7:29Speaker 1: to leave the room. Oh that's so weird, because I
- 7:31Speaker 1: love that noise. You love when somebody's popping gum. I
- 7:34Speaker 1: love it. Yeah, I do, all right. I don't know.
- 7:37Speaker 1: It's like asmr or something. Please please don't chew gum
- 7:40Speaker 1: around me. There's a thing called misophonia, and it's the
- 7:44Speaker 1: it's sounds that make you sick. I look this up
- 7:46Speaker 1: when we were just talking about it, miss aphonia. So
- 7:49Speaker 1: we we'd love to know, Uh, what is the misophonia
- 7:52Speaker 1: in your life? The sounds that drive you absolutely crazy.
- 7:56Speaker 1: We promise we won't replicate them. We want the sounds
- 7:58Speaker 1: that trigger a thing called missophonia. Sounds that just make
- 8:02Speaker 1: you crazy. Uh, Steve, what you got slurfing? Like at
- 8:08Speaker 1: the end of the drink. Yeah, when there's nothing but
- 8:10Speaker 1: a little bit of when it's ice and like, dude,
- 8:12Speaker 1: your drink is out. Paul the waiter, go, get go,
- 8:15Speaker 1: get off your bunch of the little refol machine. Just
- 8:18Speaker 1: it's done, Get over it, move on with your life.
- 8:20Speaker 1: There's no more drink. You gotta get every last draw. No,
- 8:24Speaker 1: you don't, you do, No, you don't. In America, I'm
- 8:28Speaker 1: reason just stuck with one. We open up a can.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Here sounds that drive you nuts? The Big Show with
- 8:35Speaker 1: Froggy John and Megan Brenda. Thanks for listening, Thanks for calling.
- 8:38Speaker 1: What's yours?
- 8:39Speaker 2: Listen, my kids, my grandkids, my husband, everybody knows.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Just don't chew around me.
- 8:45Speaker 2: Period.
- 8:45Speaker 3: I freaking can't stand it.
- 8:49Speaker 1: I cannot stand it.
- 8:50Speaker 2: I can't even stand to hear myself.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Do we need to lay on the couch and tell
- 8:54Speaker 1: me where the stems from? Or what do you think?
- 8:56Speaker 2: Yes, yes, I don't know. I'm serious, like ever since
- 8:59Speaker 2: I was a little girl.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Flurry Country ninety nine one WQIK. The Big Show with
- 9:06Speaker 1: Froggy John and Meghan. Froggy's off for a couple of days.
- 9:08Speaker 1: When there is one way you can guarantee trouble with
- 9:11Speaker 1: the law, mag what's that? Well? This guy from Illinois
- 9:15Speaker 1: was in Key West. He managed to get arrested. This
- 9:18Speaker 1: is over a Memorial Day weekend. Seven charges. What Yeah,
- 9:23Speaker 1: he had been drinking it here's your problem. He had
- 9:25Speaker 1: been drinking at Dante's Key West Pool bar m when
- 9:29Speaker 1: he climbed in to a police cruiser. No, yeah, it
- 9:33Speaker 1: was left by an officer doing an off duty detail.
- 9:37Speaker 1: Evidently keys in there, he gets in, takes it over,
- 9:40Speaker 1: steals it, nearly hits two people getting out, driving loops
- 9:43Speaker 1: around the parking lot before he could get up, so
- 9:46Speaker 1: basically rubbing in the face of the police officer there.
- 9:49Speaker 1: And crazy enough, he claimed to only have had three coronas.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Keep that of the new. Good news is we got
- 9:55Speaker 1: a pair of tickets for Chris Taple. Then just a
- 9:57Speaker 1: couple of minutes away, we'll give you an opportunity to
- 10:00Speaker 1: windows or at least give yourself a shot. Good morning,
- 10:02Speaker 1: It's the Big Show with Froggy, John and Meghan with
- 10:05Speaker 1: Country ninety nine one WQIK. Froggy is off today and
- 10:08Speaker 1: he's missing an episode of the Trailer Hood. We've got
- 10:11Speaker 1: the latest. There something going on down in the trailer Hood.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Megan lives in the trailer park. Yes I do. And
- 10:19Speaker 1: this ain't a joke.
- 10:20Speaker 2: No, it's real and there's some real live trailer hood
- 10:24Speaker 2: shenanigans that are happening.
- 10:26Speaker 1: What is the latest in the trailer hood? Our pool?
- 10:28Speaker 2: We have been sold as a community on this pool.
- 10:31Speaker 2: You know, there's probably I don't know, five hundred trailers.
- 10:34Speaker 2: We all share one small pool that has been closed. Sure,
- 10:37Speaker 2: they did this remodel. There's like a nice fountain that
- 10:39Speaker 2: they've got it pad locked up because they keep claiming
- 10:42Speaker 2: that the pool inspector that needs to come is unavailable for.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Weeks and weeks and weeks and weeks and weeks.
- 10:48Speaker 2: So now we got a notification saying we failed the inspection.
- 10:52Speaker 1: How can you fail an inspector when the inspector doesn't
- 10:54Speaker 1: show what's wrong with our pool too? What is is
- 10:57Speaker 1: there e cole ee in it? I mean, I don't know.
- 11:00Speaker 2: Are we gonna get some kind of fleshity bacteria? What
- 11:03Speaker 2: cause you to fail an inspection?
- 11:04Speaker 1: Just don't mess with that padlock. Yeah, and to make
- 11:07Speaker 1: it worse too.
- 11:08Speaker 2: They I think they thought this would be something nice
- 11:10Speaker 2: to tell us, but I guess they started.
- 11:11Speaker 1: Doing a lawn lawn of the month, the yard of
- 11:15Speaker 1: the month.
- 11:15Speaker 2: Yeah, except we have little patches of grass And they
- 11:18Speaker 2: said that they want us to start weed eating them
- 11:20Speaker 2: and mowing them. But the kids that live down the street,
- 11:23Speaker 2: they do fifteen bucks. They haven't been around. Ah so
- 11:26Speaker 2: some woman named Lynn, she is the lawn of the
- 11:29Speaker 2: month or whatever.
- 11:30Speaker 1: Well, congratulations Lynn, and the rest of.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Us are living in weeds because those two kids are gone.
- 11:35Speaker 2: I don't know where they are, but they're gone. Yeah.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Crazy, crazy, crazy crazy.
- 11:39Speaker 2: To make it even worse, too, John is they still
- 11:42Speaker 2: want us to go and blindside each other by recording
- 11:46Speaker 2: your neighbors who are acting up.
- 11:49Speaker 1: You can't do anything for fun. You can't have fun
- 11:52Speaker 1: anymore in the trailer park. I mean like fire I mean,
- 11:54Speaker 1: what if there's fireworks on the fourth of July and
- 11:56Speaker 1: you see your neighbor doing that, you probably end up
- 11:59Speaker 1: in group chat. That's what I'm saying. Something going on
- 12:04Speaker 1: down in the trailer There's always something going on with Meghan,
- 12:08Speaker 1: that's pretty sure. Yeah. Always. I think you attract that
- 12:10Speaker 1: sometimes too, though, Hey, I'm a good neighbor. I'm a
- 12:13Speaker 1: good neighbor in the trailer park.
- 12:16Speaker 3: Let's get three things you need to know right now.
- 12:18Speaker 3: I need to somewhere down I get really passionate working
- 12:21Speaker 3: the trailer.
- 12:23Speaker 2: Let's talk about the wide receiver out Amandarin, Bryce and Wright,
- 12:26Speaker 2: who is topping out the list for national high schoolers
- 12:31Speaker 2: that are in line to be premier prospects for the
- 12:34Speaker 2: twenty twenty eight class. So eighteen months away from the
- 12:37Speaker 2: early signing day and he's looking like he's going to
- 12:40Speaker 2: be on it.
- 12:40Speaker 1: That's cool. He's incredible. He is an amazing wide receiver.
- 12:44Speaker 1: They tried to double team last year a lot, and
- 12:46Speaker 1: he said, we know I still got this yep. Yeah, awesome,
- 12:50Speaker 1: making us proud. Yeah.
- 12:51Speaker 2: Douglas Anderson's School of the Arts has a six member
- 12:54Speaker 2: jazz band.
- 12:55Speaker 1: They're called the DA Jazz Combo. Yep.
- 12:57Speaker 2: It's really cool because there's a prestigious jazz magazine that
- 13:01Speaker 2: they have been honored in.
- 13:02Speaker 1: It's amazing. Congratulations Downbeat magazine recognizing the kids from DA.
- 13:07Speaker 1: Well done. Yeah, national level recognition. That's what I'm talking
- 13:10Speaker 1: about this summer.
- 13:11Speaker 2: If you are looking for something to do to take
- 13:13Speaker 2: the kids out and not break the bank, we got
- 13:15Speaker 2: just the thing for you. Really cool. Cinemark and Regal Cinemas.
- 13:19Speaker 2: They're doing this cheap ticket thing lessan two bucks for
- 13:22Speaker 2: a ticket you can take. I mean you could take
- 13:25Speaker 2: your whole kid's class. I mean it's still s been
- 13:27Speaker 2: a less than you normally would. Yes, exactly, it sounds fun.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Yep, awesome. That's three things you need to know. And
- 13:33Speaker 1: we take Callers nine and ten right now at nine
- 13:35Speaker 1: oh four, three, eight, eight thirty six ninety nine. You
- 13:37Speaker 1: like to go see Chris Stapleton Next week, we've got
- 13:39Speaker 1: tickets for the Vice Star Veterans Memorial Arena Concert. Callers
- 13:43Speaker 1: nine and ten will play at the Pop Quiz WQIK.
- 13:46Speaker 1: It's time to eat forty Tuesday with the Big Show Froggy,
- 13:53Speaker 1: John and Megan in Country ninety nine one WQIK. Froggy's
- 13:57Speaker 1: off for a couple of.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Days, and I think we might be off too once
- 14:01Speaker 2: this bush Light news comes out. So they're doing this
- 14:04Speaker 2: thing called a Flavor showdown where they want fans to
- 14:07Speaker 2: vote on what the next new flavor will be, because
- 14:09Speaker 2: you know, bush Light has bush Light Apple, Yeah, and
- 14:12Speaker 2: it's good. It's like a treat for me one or
- 14:15Speaker 2: two only.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Evidently it's doing quite well too, the apple.
- 14:18Speaker 2: But now they want us to decide do we want
- 14:20Speaker 2: the next flavor to be lemon, orange or peach?
- 14:24Speaker 1: And there's only one acceptable answer. Peach. Peach is and
- 14:27Speaker 1: it's the only one. Yes, does peach mix with alcohol
- 14:31Speaker 1: better than the others.
- 14:33Speaker 2: I think peach would be a better beer flavor for
- 14:36Speaker 2: bush light lemon.
- 14:37Speaker 1: I don't know what even that is. That's like a joke.
- 14:41Speaker 1: I've had a peach margarita, I do, like yeah, and
- 14:44Speaker 1: like they've they've pre made it and it was really
- 14:45Speaker 1: really really good.
- 14:46Speaker 4: M h.
- 14:47Speaker 1: And I've had apple like a you know, like a
- 14:50Speaker 1: love Oh my gosh, you know what I love. I
- 14:52Speaker 1: was dayings. Yes, oh my gosh. They are good, way
- 14:56Speaker 1: too good. Uh So you're thinking, you're thinking peach is, dude,
- 15:01Speaker 1: I'm not a lemon. I'm not a lemon guy either.
- 15:04Speaker 2: I like orange, like, you know, like oranges in beer
- 15:07Speaker 2: can be good, like in a blue moon or in
- 15:09Speaker 2: certain wheat beers. Yeah, it's good, okay, but I just
- 15:14Speaker 2: don't think it's compatible. It's peach or it's nothing. And
- 15:17Speaker 2: if these votes come to push comes to shove and
- 15:20Speaker 2: it comes out to be the lemon, that's gonna be.
- 15:23Speaker 1: A sad day for me. Because you're a bush like girl.
- 15:25Speaker 1: You love your bush, you love your bush like. Oh yeah,
- 15:28Speaker 1: I get it. I get my cans at mister Chubby's
- 15:30Speaker 1: the West Side. Yes you do. In its first year
- 15:33Speaker 1: of covering all of Florida, the prestigious Michelin Guide has
- 15:37Speaker 1: recognized eight Northeast Florida restaurants among the best in the state.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Whoa yep. Michelin named the one in Saint Augustine called
- 15:44Speaker 1: Bar Citra, Okay, and that looks good. I've never been there.
- 15:48Speaker 1: And one's called Sunday and I think it's a Sunday
- 15:50Speaker 1: eating table. They're on the list of forty five restaurants
- 15:53Speaker 1: earning the great Food at a Great Value distinction. The
- 15:56Speaker 1: other restaurants were named to the Guide's list of recommended
- 15:59Speaker 1: restaurants Asado Life and Lotus Noodle Bar in Saint Augustine.
- 16:04Speaker 1: One that looks like a lot of fun. I looked
- 16:06Speaker 1: up the menus on all these and they all look great.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Egg Boy in Atlantic Beach Okay. That ruce Saint Mark,
- 16:14Speaker 1: which I you better bring your rue Saint Mark money,
- 16:16Speaker 1: if you know what I mean. It's a high end okay.
- 16:18Speaker 1: And the Bearded pig our Friends in San Marco. It's awesome.
- 16:23Speaker 2: So is this like part of the if you're coming
- 16:24Speaker 2: to this area? Yeah, these are the top places when
- 16:27Speaker 2: you look them up.
- 16:27Speaker 1: You know, Michelin puts out these restaurant guides and you
- 16:29Speaker 1: can go to the Michelin place if you're going to
- 16:31Speaker 1: a new area, like, well, what are the Michelin you know,
- 16:34Speaker 1: starred restaurants. These are the ones showing up is recommended
- 16:37Speaker 1: because they never have been in the North Florida area before.
- 16:40Speaker 1: So they're finally doing this and Michelin's and finally making
- 16:43Speaker 1: their way to Florida. We know we've only been around
- 16:45Speaker 1: one hundred something years. Mischeland guide. I think we're okay,
- 16:48Speaker 1: first coast. We are the first coast. We should have
- 16:50Speaker 1: been first to sam for a reason as Salt and
- 16:53Speaker 1: Amelia Island. Also, that's a great restaurant. That's one of
- 16:55Speaker 1: the ones we have been to, aside from the Bearded Pig.
- 16:57Speaker 1: Really really good good stuff and great stuff on a
- 17:01Speaker 1: Tuesday playing for Chris Stapleton tickets. So good luck. Jennifer,
- 17:05Speaker 1: we start with you. He was just here recently. Russell
- 17:08Speaker 1: Dickerson had himself next thing. You know, Russell Dickerson's got
- 17:12Speaker 1: like ten number ones. Russell Dickerson. How old is he?
- 17:14Speaker 1: Jennifer thirty seven? Brittany is he older or younger h older? Yeah,
- 17:20Speaker 1: just by a little. That was a great guest, Jennifer.
- 17:22Speaker 1: But Brittany went the right direction thirty nine to Russell Dickerson.
- 17:27Speaker 1: All right, very good, All right, Brittany, you get that
- 17:30Speaker 1: point and you get this question. First, White Year was
- 17:33Speaker 1: the Heimlich maneuver, you know, the one rescuing choking victims,
- 17:37Speaker 1: first published in a journal emergency medicine. White Year was
- 17:41Speaker 1: that first discovered or at least published, Brittany.
- 17:45Speaker 4: Ooh, nineteen ninety, Jennifer, was it before or after?
- 17:51Speaker 1: Before it was? It was nineteen seventy four. Wow, it
- 17:55Speaker 1: was nineteen seventy four. I'm old enough to remember when
- 17:57Speaker 1: that came out, and it was a big deal because
- 17:59Speaker 1: a week later, the first choking victim was saved by
- 18:02Speaker 1: that method.
- 18:03Speaker 4: WHOA, how about that? That's amazing, Jennifer, that's amazing. You
- 18:07Speaker 4: got it, and we're tied. Time for a tie breaker.
- 18:13Speaker 4: If you know the answer to this question, shout your name.
- 18:16Speaker 4: What is the state capital of West Virginia? Is it
- 18:20Speaker 4: Wheeling or Charleston, Jennifer, Jennifer, Charleston.
- 18:27Speaker 1: Is your answer really Virginia? Yeah? I had no idea,
- 18:33Speaker 1: Jennifer knew and Jennifer got it. Congratulations, it's a pair
- 18:36Speaker 1: of tickets for Chris Stapleton. Brittany, thanks so much, Thanks
- 18:40Speaker 1: so much for making us a part of your Tuesday.
- 18:43Speaker 1: We've been talking about it being Wednesday all morning.
- 18:45Speaker 2: We think that it's like Memorial Day, weekend week again.
- 18:48Speaker 1: It feels like that's what it is.
- 18:50Speaker 2: I don't know what day it is, but I do
- 18:52Speaker 2: know that we probably just need to get out of here.
- 18:55Speaker 1: It's national leave the office early day. So what are
- 18:58Speaker 1: we doing? Tell me twice, yeah, get your keys in here.
- 19:01Speaker 1: When you're walking, I'll help you out of the door.
- 19:04Speaker 1: By the time I get to my card, it'll be
- 19:06Speaker 1: a full day, full day would be done. How are
- 19:09Speaker 1: you chucking along? I can't. I thought last night it's funny,
- 19:13Speaker 1: you know, you're laying in bed and you're thinking. I
- 19:14Speaker 1: can't remember if I was dreaming or this was real.
- 19:18Speaker 1: But I felt like, you know, if I stand up
- 19:20Speaker 1: right now, my hip's not going to hurt. I kind of, uh,
- 19:23Speaker 1: you know, did the little wiggle and thinking, oh, yeah,
- 19:26Speaker 1: nothing there, nothing there. But I was too tired, and
- 19:29Speaker 1: so I rolled over, woke up and it was hurting again.
- 19:32Speaker 1: But I thought maybe maybe if I'm sleeping on one
- 19:35Speaker 1: side of it.
- 19:36Speaker 2: Maybe if I sleep standing up up against the wall
- 19:42Speaker 2: upside down.
- 19:43Speaker 1: Right, hooked up to a Derek and it just kind
- 19:46Speaker 1: of then maybe it'll go. You'll need a crane, just
- 19:50Speaker 1: get me up and get me going. I liked it,
- 19:53Speaker 1: but it is and everybody I've talked to more people.
- 19:55Speaker 1: I've talked to twenty people, and twenty people will give
- 19:57Speaker 1: me a different diagnosis. Really none of the medical profession
- 20:02Speaker 1: mind java, but their opinions are what matters. Well, I
- 20:05Speaker 1: appreciate it. I value everybody's opinion. Got a bunch yesterday
- 20:08Speaker 1: and then and then got a plenty in person yesterday
- 20:12Speaker 1: after I got off work, So just love that can
- 20:15Speaker 1: go wrong with the hip. I want to put it
- 20:17Speaker 1: on a wheel. I want to put everybody's guests on
- 20:19Speaker 1: a wheel, spend it and think that's what I got.
- 20:21Speaker 1: Go to the doctor and say, well, this is the
- 20:23Speaker 1: consensus of people. Then we'll see what it is. Maybe
- 20:27Speaker 1: we could have a lottery with my hip. Exactly what
- 20:30Speaker 1: is wrong with Johnson's wrong with him today?
- 20:33Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 20:34Speaker 1: Exactly. Let's get Megan's three things going on your Tuesday?
- 20:39Speaker 2: Well, the art walk is happening tonight, No, because that's Wednesday.
- 20:43Speaker 1: Oh tomorrow, Today is Tuesday. Today is Tuesday. Well tomorrow,
- 20:48Speaker 1: put it on your radar. This Wednesday, right is the
- 20:52Speaker 1: art Walk and it's really cool.
- 20:53Speaker 2: Lots of local artists, live music, will be out, food
- 20:57Speaker 2: and more.
- 20:58Speaker 1: James Weldon Johnson Park. Yes, tomorrow tomorrow, because you know
- 21:02Speaker 1: what tomorrow is Wednesday.
- 21:04Speaker 2: Don't be showing up tonight and say Megan told you
- 21:06Speaker 2: to come because I'm gonna say no, no, no, Today
- 21:09Speaker 2: is Tuesday.
- 21:10Speaker 1: Corrected ourselves what you think and it's Wednesday. It's Tuesday.
- 21:13Speaker 2: Some good news though, as we get through June, the
- 21:16Speaker 2: Clay County burn band has been lifted, so we won't
- 21:19Speaker 2: have to see those signs anymore when you're driving and
- 21:21Speaker 2: it got to be like a.
- 21:22Speaker 1: Marquee like burn band Clay County. Right, That's when you
- 21:26Speaker 1: know traffic's good when they're telling you there's a burn
- 21:28Speaker 1: band in Clay County. I always like seeing that, which
- 21:30Speaker 1: means traffic's okay. But yeah, that's good to see that
- 21:33Speaker 1: the burn band's been lifted and possibly for the rest
- 21:36Speaker 1: of the area because so with the big Fourth of
- 21:37Speaker 1: July two fifty coming up, Yeah, that'd be nice if
- 21:40Speaker 1: we can have some fireworks.
- 21:41Speaker 2: Absolutely, and we do have to celebrate Bryson Wright, the
- 21:44Speaker 2: Mandarin wide receiver who is looking really good as far
- 21:48Speaker 2: as the twenty twenty eight class prospects go for football.
- 21:52Speaker 2: He's one of he's ranked as one of the top
- 21:55Speaker 2: guys on the list of that class.
- 21:57Speaker 1: He's like number one. So rooting for him and to
- 21:59Speaker 1: see what happened. Tickets for the weekend down to West
- 22:02Speaker 1: Palm for the Alan Jackson's Five o'clock Somewhere Festival, which
- 22:07Speaker 1: has nothing to do with Alan Jackson except he had
- 22:10Speaker 1: a hit with that song. I'm still trying to figure
- 22:12Speaker 1: out why that's that? Why do they do that? It's
- 22:15Speaker 1: the Alan Jackson's five o'clock Somewhere Festival, not starring Alan Jackson.
- 22:19Speaker 1: It's happening at the Palm Beach's Waterfront Commons in West
- 22:22Speaker 1: Palm Beach. It is, gosh, next weekend, June twelfth and thirteenth, whatever, Yes,
- 22:27Speaker 1: that's next weekend, and Alan Jackson might not be there,
- 22:29Speaker 1: but everyone else is. Ella Langley, the hottest star on
- 22:33Speaker 1: the planet right now. Ella Langley will be there. Our
- 22:36Speaker 1: buddy's an old dominion who always put on a great show,
- 22:38Speaker 1: and then you got like Jimmy Buffet's coral read for band,
- 22:41Speaker 1: you got a Buffet tribute band, Clint Black, Shenandoah, Dylan, Scott,
- 22:45Speaker 1: Rodney Atkins. Just a great couple of days of music.
- 22:48Speaker 1: Is that simple? And so this is your opportunity to
- 22:50Speaker 1: win a pair of general admission weekend tickets. So that's
- 22:54Speaker 1: really cool, Yeah, super super fun. Yeah, Megan makes it tough.
- 23:00Speaker 1: Megan's tough lyrics. So give us the lyric. You got
- 23:02Speaker 1: to tell us what song this is from? Don't got
- 23:04Speaker 1: to go Home, but we can't stay here?
- 23:07Speaker 2: Okay, this is I'm trying to make it hard because
- 23:09Speaker 2: these are really good tickets we've got. Yeah, but I
- 23:12Speaker 2: got that one, don't Gotta go home, but we can't
- 23:14Speaker 2: stay here.
- 23:15Speaker 1: Okay, I can't believe you got it that quick. You're
- 23:17Speaker 1: making me second guess my lyrics. I heard it on
- 23:19Speaker 1: the way in this morning. Okay, that makes sense, that
- 23:21Speaker 1: makes sense, And I remember thinking, oh, yeah, I love
- 23:23Speaker 1: that line. May mean that's a line people have said forever. Yeah,
- 23:26Speaker 1: but it's uh, I've forgotten it was in that great song. Well,
- 23:29Speaker 1: but there you go. Now you have to know what
- 23:31Speaker 1: song it is. That's what matters call or not. The
- 23:34Speaker 1: Stanley Cups got Carolina versus Vegas. And if you need
- 23:37Speaker 1: someone to pull for and the Stanley Cup, uh, don't
- 23:40Speaker 1: forget Bill Foley, who is the chairman of the board
- 23:44Speaker 1: of Fidelity. You know the big building, the big hiring
- 23:47Speaker 1: guy downtown. Yeah, and for Black Knight, you know that
- 23:52Speaker 1: whole thing. Arian Riverside. Okay, he's the owner of the
- 23:56Speaker 1: Vegas Golden Knights. WHOA, that's really cool. Yeah, he was looking.
- 24:00Speaker 1: He hoped to buy the Jaguars before shot Con bought him.
- 24:03Speaker 1: He thought he expressed interest and looked into it, but
- 24:07Speaker 1: they sold it to shot Con. So he was interested
- 24:09Speaker 1: in buying some kind of franchise, and he's bought a
- 24:11Speaker 1: couple of little things. But then he bought and when
- 24:14Speaker 1: they had an expansion in the NHL, he bought the
- 24:16Speaker 1: Vegas Knights and they told him it's going to be
- 24:18Speaker 1: in Vegas. So he said, okay, I'll I'll loan them.
- 24:21Speaker 1: That's pretty neat. So we've got we've got a connection.
- 24:24Speaker 1: We can root for some week, we can pull for
- 24:25Speaker 1: the Golden Knights. If you're looking for somebody to pull
- 24:27Speaker 1: for to night, just to pull for sure, why not. Yeah,
- 24:30Speaker 1: I know nothing about hunt. It's so funny. It's fun
- 24:33Speaker 1: to go. I love going, so fun to go, not
- 24:36Speaker 1: fun to watch on TV. Watching on TV, I have
- 24:38Speaker 1: no clue. No, you can't see the puffy and then
- 24:40Speaker 1: you hear a g and I think, oh, they must
- 24:43Speaker 1: have scored. I like to see who gets put in
- 24:45Speaker 1: the penalty box, what they do.
- 24:46Speaker 2: I love when they zoom it on him in the
- 24:48Speaker 2: penalty box and it's like, yeah, you're in time out.
- 24:50Speaker 1: You're a grown man in timeout. Let him out of
- 24:52Speaker 1: a cage, let him do some damage. Then he comes
- 24:54Speaker 1: back out and does them damage. That's funny. So we
- 24:57Speaker 1: wish the Hurricanes, but mostly we wish the gold Knights,
- 25:00Speaker 1: the Vegas Golden Knights. Well. Best trophy in the worst series,
- 25:10Speaker 1: I don't know. I like the trophy. I love the
- 25:11Speaker 1: Stanley Cup, and I love the fact they paraded around.
- 25:14Speaker 1: I do too. I love the fact that they'll send it,
- 25:16Speaker 1: they go back to their home neighborhood and everybody runs
- 25:18Speaker 1: around and touches it and stuff. I love everything about
- 25:21Speaker 1: except the game. That's the only part. I got some
- 25:24Speaker 1: hockey fans who were just like, you don't know it.
- 25:26Speaker 1: I'm with you. I'm ignorant. I'm ignorant of the game,
- 25:29Speaker 1: and so I'm claiming I might like it if I
- 25:32Speaker 1: if I put more time into it.
- 25:34Speaker 2: But I really you know, I'm certain to see a
- 25:36Speaker 2: pattern though, because you enjoy hockey games, but you're not
- 25:41Speaker 2: a self proclaimed hockey fan.
- 25:43Speaker 1: You're kind of the same way with soccer.
- 25:46Speaker 2: Yes that you're like I would like to go to
- 25:48Speaker 2: some games, but not a diehard soccer fan.
- 25:50Speaker 1: Yep.
- 25:51Speaker 2: And I think maybe that's the connection, because they're kind
- 25:54Speaker 2: of the games kind of you watch it the same, Yeah,
- 25:57Speaker 2: you do, So I don't know. I think I think
- 25:59Speaker 2: we need to mercia. I was a mercy of soccer
- 26:04Speaker 2: when my daughter played and I got where. I actually
- 26:07Speaker 2: knew the rules of soccer by the time she graduated.
- 26:12Speaker 2: Oh no, I wasn't that bad about it, but I
- 26:14Speaker 2: did yell. Okay, here's so funny. I'm not the guy
- 26:17Speaker 2: who yells at the ref. Everybody else, all the other
- 26:20Speaker 2: parents were given, you know, to give the officials grief.
- 26:24Speaker 2: I was never that guy. So one time I'm sitting,
- 26:27Speaker 2: I'm standing closer to the field and and then the
- 26:31Speaker 2: guy called a foul.
- 26:32Speaker 1: But it was way late. It was way after the
- 26:34Speaker 1: fact because the other team's fans were yelling, and so
- 26:37Speaker 1: I told him, I said, hey, don't be swayed by
- 26:40Speaker 1: the other fans. He stopped everything and looked at me, like,
- 26:45Speaker 1: one more word out of you and I'm tossing you.
- 26:48Speaker 1: And all the fans at Paxson when my daughter went
- 26:50Speaker 1: to school, all the parents were laughing their tail off.
- 26:53Speaker 1: They're like, look at John. He don't even never says
- 26:55Speaker 1: a word, and the one time he speaks up, the
- 26:57Speaker 1: referee stops the game to ad monitor them.
- 27:00Speaker 2: I thought you were the one, the one he could
- 27:02Speaker 2: count on.
- 27:06Speaker 1: Enough to hear. We've got John messed up. Now, Oh
- 27:09Speaker 1: that's funny. Three things Megan's got him Clay County Burn Band.
- 27:13Speaker 1: It's lifted.
- 27:14Speaker 2: So if you're driving this morning, you're like, something just
- 27:16Speaker 2: looks a little different. It's because all of the marquee
- 27:19Speaker 2: signs yelling at us, don't burn things.
- 27:22Speaker 1: Be smart. They're gone, or they least they should be gone.
- 27:26Speaker 2: The Jacksonville Zoos Endless Summer Pass is in full swing.
- 27:29Speaker 2: So this kicked off yesterday and it runs all the
- 27:32Speaker 2: way through September. It's really cool because you can buy
- 27:35Speaker 2: a single day regular ticket and then you'll be able
- 27:38Speaker 2: to come back multiple times throughout the season for different
- 27:42Speaker 2: like of the events that they have a different opportunities
- 27:46Speaker 2: sort of thing. So you go there check it out
- 27:49Speaker 2: and they'll I'm sure they're really good about stuff. They'll
- 27:51Speaker 2: get your set up with which things you can come
- 27:54Speaker 2: back to.
- 27:55Speaker 1: Very cool.
- 27:55Speaker 2: Let's talk about Bryson Wright, the Mandarin wide receiver. Oh
- 27:59Speaker 2: my gosh, he's topping out the list for the Premiere
- 28:02Speaker 2: Prospects for the twenty twenty eight class.
- 28:05Speaker 1: So this could be like, we think he's hometown here.
- 28:09Speaker 1: Oh god, yeah, we think he's the first to ever
- 28:12Speaker 1: be number one overall here in Jacksonville. We're trying to think.
- 28:15Speaker 1: We're asking other high school sports officionados if they remember
- 28:18Speaker 1: somebody being number one. I know Tim Tebow wasn't number one.
- 28:21Speaker 1: He was high when he was in high school. He
- 28:25Speaker 1: was a high recruit, but he wasn't number one, said Bryce,
- 28:28Speaker 1: and Wright might be our first number one, if you know,
- 28:30Speaker 1: give us a call. At nine oh four three eight
- 28:32Speaker 1: eight thirty, Megan texted Froggy and me, this is Thursday,
- 28:37Speaker 1: the Florida summer heat. I think I get it now.
- 28:39Speaker 1: I've never been so hot in my life. This is
- 28:43Speaker 1: Thursday Awakening last Thursday, and I was like, we're just
- 28:47Speaker 1: getting started, Meg, And before we get out of here, Megan,
- 28:49Speaker 1: what did we learn today? I learned that even when
- 28:53Speaker 1: John The Big Show Extra sponsored by Farah and Farah,
- 28:57Speaker 1: Here for You, Here for Good,
