- 0:02Here's your host, Alex Garrett. Well, we've got a new member in
- 0:11the affiliate partnership world as o'riyan Motor Tech is now an affiliate sponsor of the
- 0:19Alex Garrett podcast Network. How cool is that? And of course i did
- 0:25work with the Auto Lab for years, so I've kind of got a affinity
- 0:30for cars. But you know, whenever you talk motor whenever you talk technology,
- 0:36we ever talk. And O'Ryan of course a powerful name, but we'll
- 0:41we'll welcome on and do maybe an affiliate introduction. And this has led me
- 0:48to rename my Instagram alex G the Affiliate because instead of doing five different pages
- 0:54with all these different companies through Impact, just have one alex G the Affiliate,
- 1:00which was formerly and I feel like I affiliate wrong, which was formerly
- 1:07Alex to the Fanatic. But now it's alex G the Affiliate because we've got
- 1:18three now to sponsor. And the beauty of the about Instagram as you can
- 1:22actually make it so all three could be represented one in one link. So
- 1:30we'll take a look at that in the days to come. And I'm excited
- 1:34because we got possible event happening later July. Well we'll get to that once
- 1:41it's confirmed that I'm actually gonna be there, But for now, welcome aboard
- 1:47O'Ryan Motor Technology to the one leg up with Alex Garrett family and look forward
- 1:53to working with you guys and maybe just maybe making this sponsorship grow. I
- 2:00think of Johnny Cash's one piece at a time when I think of motor technology,
- 2:05right, so we got to see him. Maybe maybe we can just
- 2:07keep am radio in all our vehicles, how about that O'Ryan motor technology.
- 2:15So welcome aboard well. One thing that was disturbing over the last day or
- 2:24so well, not only the fact that apparently Biden again gaffed and said that
- 2:31Vladimir instead of Voladimir very strange when addressing the Ukrainian present, he said,
- 2:39Vladimir, I don't know, it's seems like a gaff a minute with him.
- 2:45But the one story that I've found very, very sad is that a
- 2:53staggering sixteen percent of New York City dwellers say they've been physically assaulted in the
- 2:59past year sixteen percent, sixteen percent. One stat says forty one of all
- 3:10New Yorkers told posters posters they've never been this worried for their personal safety.
- 3:20Don Levy, the director of Siena College Research said, asked, is the
- 3:27worst it's ever been? That was the question asked. And while New Yorkers
- 3:38feel unsafe according to the NYPD, crime has been on a se decline in
- 3:43twenty twenty three according to comstat and whatnot. But there is a worry.
- 3:52There is a worry that walking around you could be so object to guys on
- 4:00scooter shooting up, and not only the crime that gets committed in the violence
- 4:05and the shooting up from scooters and elsewhere and just crime, there's the worry
- 4:12that once these guys are arrested, they could be re released and sent back
- 4:15out into the New York City wild. That's the biggest concern is Okay,
- 4:21a crime happens, Unfortunately, that's going to happen. But to have no
- 4:26consequences, to have no consequences for actions, especially murder, that's disturbing.
- 4:44That's extremely disturbing, because okay, you can't cut down every criminal, but
- 4:54you know you can lock them up for good and not on bail reform and
- 4:57not release him on bail reform. You can do that much. Come on,
- 5:00New York City, We're more worried about the wildfire smoke responses at the
- 5:06city Council than we are crime and bail reform. It's kind of disgusting to
- 5:16me and kind of serving. If you haven't asked me, we need have
- 5:21one leg up on crime and you know how you do that. Yeah.
- 5:25I make people feel safe is if bail reform has truly changed so that people
- 5:30don't feel like, once they're assailant is in jail, they give me released
- 5:34easily. If you can send you the assailant to jail and not have them
- 5:40released and assure the victims, hey, we're gonna keep them locked up.
- 5:46I think you have better results than that. I think you'd feel like more
- 5:50less than sixteen percent, less than forty one percent felt unsafe. But until
- 5:57that happens, Sorry and Laby, Sorry Senta College, that poll's gonna go
- 6:02up more. We'll feel unsafe if this bail reform mess is not fixed sooner
- 6:10than later. If the fear of well, if they're in there, will
- 6:15they be able to get out is alleviated, we'll feel safer. We'll feel
- 6:20safer. But sixteen percent have been physically assaulted. Forty one say they are
- 6:28feeling unsafe. In the city. Pretty telling, right, how about this
- 6:35one? Unfortunately in Illinois the Greyhound and I relate to this because I was
- 6:44once luckily steered away from any kind of danger after our bus driver of the
- 6:53Greyhound come back from Tampa, Florida, was almost hijacked in Virginia right next
- 6:59to the baseball stadium in Richmond. Well, we were fortunate that just ended
- 7:06up in a ditch and nothing worse. Because in Illinois there was a massive,
- 7:15massive accident which caused three deaths fourteen injured. So prayers to those who
- 7:24are recuperating. And we don't know why the Greyhound bus was run into or
- 7:29how that happened, but causing a major accident. And then finally, prayers
- 7:34in Chicago as there are sirens going off in the Windy city about tornadoes.
- 7:41Yes, tornadoes in Chicago. Who'd thought we'd ever see that mainstay city.
- 7:50Pretty nuts. Prayers to all going through it right now and boil boy,
- 7:59that Greyhound story did hit home
