• 1:13
Speaker 1: this would be good for everybody who like you reach
• 1:16
Speaker 1: out to and are trying to book the guests, like
• 1:19
Speaker 1: some of the ones we're going to see today, you
• 1:21
Speaker 1: did all the work of tracking them down, asking them
• 1:24
Speaker 1: to consider it, getting them booked on the show, them
• 1:26
Speaker 1: in their segment. That's pretty cool. Yeah, you'll talk to
• 1:29
  Speaker 1: me first.
• 1:30
Speaker 3: You gotta go through him.
• 1:31
Speaker 1: Yeah, it's got to go. Got to go through Corey
• 1:34
Speaker 1: to make it on the show.
• 1:35
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 1:36
Speaker 1: Yeah, So we still got a lot of guests lined up.
• 1:40
Speaker 1: I mean, we still have folks in the pipeline trying
• 1:43
Speaker 1: to trying to tell us stories and all that kind
• 1:45
Speaker 1: of stuff. How many people do we have out there?
• 1:46
  Speaker 3: Sure?
• 1:49
Speaker 1: Yeah, a lot, a lot, yeah, a lot. Yeah, really
• 1:53
Speaker 1: got some work to do.
• 1:54
Speaker 2: We're getting into the like please don't want to ask.
• 1:58
  Speaker 2: I haven't forgetting for a day interest today. So we're
• 2:04
Speaker 2: in like the seventies, eighties probably now?
• 2:06
  Speaker 1: Oh really yeah?
• 2:07
Speaker 3: Oh yeah, okay, sorry Corey.
• 2:09
Speaker 1: All good fun here for Yehjeas Bush two brothers. She
• 2:13
Speaker 1: was just like like eighty that he's not following up.
• 2:15
Speaker 2: With No, he's doing great, you know, oh, yes, he's
• 2:19
Speaker 2: doing great. Was doing he's doing great. It's just hard,
• 2:21
Speaker 2: you know, like you get people who are interested and
• 2:23
Speaker 2: then you got to keep asking if they're so interested,
• 2:27
Speaker 2: And I know people are really busy and you know,
• 2:28
  Speaker 2: being a what's.
• 2:29
Speaker 1: The biggest like what's like the biggest like draw? What
• 2:33
Speaker 1: are they worried about? Corey? And someone's like, hey, I
• 2:36
Speaker 1: want to you know, they reach out to I might
• 2:38
Speaker 1: be interested. What are they worried about?
• 2:40
Speaker 5: I haven't got any I might be interested.
• 2:43
Speaker 1: What Hey, I'm interested time.
• 2:46
Speaker 3: Yeah, I think the biggest draw like you.
• 2:49
Speaker 1: You were previously. I think trying to key him up
• 2:51
Speaker 1: a little bit for a core guy. Right now, he's
• 2:53
Speaker 1: going to get picked. Maybe he's going to get the
• 2:55
  Speaker 1: draw banks.
• 2:56
Speaker 2: I get a lot of no, just straight up like no,
• 2:59
Speaker 2: like professional behind it, or like please stop emailing me.
• 3:02
Speaker 2: Or I get some like I'm worried about like the
• 3:06
Speaker 2: anonymity or how you say that word and being anonymous
• 3:09
Speaker 2: and not wanting to tell my story, you know, and
• 3:12
Speaker 2: you know, I guess air out everybody's drama at the company.
• 3:15
Speaker 2: So we get a lot of those, or people just
• 3:18
Speaker 2: like how much does it cost?
• 3:19
Speaker 3: And we're like, it's free, It's just an experience.
• 3:21
Speaker 1: Oh really, yeah, I think it costs.
• 3:23
Speaker 3: Yeah, people think it costs funny to be on the
• 3:24
Speaker 3: show for you know, pr or whatever.
• 3:27
Speaker 2: It might be because we're so adamant about trying to
• 3:29
Speaker 2: get people on the show, they think that we must
• 3:31
Speaker 2: be trying to sell them something.
• 3:32
Speaker 1: Right, Well, you know, we work hard at whatever we do, so.
• 3:34
Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly, we just want people in the show.
• 3:37
Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, Well, charge on, guys, knock it out,
• 3:43
Speaker 1: and if you want to be on the show, we
• 3:46
Speaker 1: certainly encourage you to. You know, you can respond to
• 3:49
Speaker 1: one of the emails that we might send out. If
• 3:50
Speaker 1: you get one from us, you can go to the
• 3:53
Speaker 1: our website, the Badhire dot com and you can check
• 3:56
Speaker 1: it out there. You can submit a forum to say
• 3:59
Speaker 1: I want to be on the show. You'll hear from Corey.
• 4:02
Speaker 1: He'll reach out and try to book some time with
• 4:03
  Speaker 1: you to quickly talk for I don't know what's what's
• 4:06
Speaker 1: it take Corey ten to fifteen minutes, Yeah, fifteen minute stops, stops,
• 4:09
Speaker 1: and then he just talks about what you may be
• 4:12
Speaker 1: thinking about, talking about what your story might be like.
• 4:14
Speaker 1: And then he'll give you the options of like how
• 4:17
Speaker 1: to submit a story or how to how to do
• 4:19
Speaker 1: a video segment, whatever you want to do. And so yeah,
• 4:23
Speaker 1: and if you win this year, at the end of
• 4:26
Speaker 1: the year, we'll do it. We'll do We'll select the
• 4:28
Speaker 1: best story. Somebody's gonna win ten grand so money as well,
• 4:31
Speaker 1: be you Yeah, so yeah, shoot, yeah, really tell a
• 4:36
Speaker 1: good story. And you know, people some people, uh, I
• 4:41
Speaker 1: get a lot of positive feedback about this. Actually, yeah,
• 4:44
Speaker 1: I love it. I was. I was shocked people, you know,
• 4:47
Speaker 1: some of my peers, other CEOs h some HR folks,
• 4:51
Speaker 1: customers have reached out or I've run it to them
• 4:53
Speaker 1: and the like, you know, hey, I see your thing.
• 4:55
  Speaker 1: It's you know, it's really great. It's fun. It's entertaining,
• 4:58
Speaker 1: which is all we're really trying be right, It's just
• 5:01
  Speaker 1: it's just entertaining.
• 5:04
Speaker 3: Sure, M sure, yeah, no, I said for sure.
• 5:09
Speaker 1: So I guess what I'm what I the intent is
• 5:16
Speaker 1: like not to make fun of anybody. Yeah, but you know,
• 5:22
Speaker 1: people at work blowing stuff up is funny. Yeah, And
• 5:25
  Speaker 1: I think it's funny because it's real because we everybody's
• 5:28
Speaker 1: experienced somebody just kind of flame it out and sometimes
• 5:31
Speaker 1: the person's just flaky. Other times they've just had it right,
• 5:35
Speaker 1: and so it's you know, they chose to to flake
• 5:38
Speaker 1: out and do whatever. So but the last.
• 5:41
Speaker 2: Lady on the last episode where it was like a
• 5:42
Speaker 2: personal thing in her life, and she burned down her
• 5:44
Speaker 2: boyfriend's house for cheating on her and what Yeah, you
• 5:47
Speaker 2: don't remember that last episode. She had nothing to do
• 5:49
Speaker 2: with work, she was a great employee. She just burned
• 5:52
Speaker 2: her boyfriend's helstone because he was chooting. It's like, you
• 5:55
  Speaker 2: just never know.
• 5:55
Speaker 5: Oh, it's pretty reasonable if you asked, mate, yeah.
• 5:59
Speaker 3: Core, He's like, go ahead, girl, you got it.
• 6:02
Speaker 1: Yeah, oh my god. All right, So submit your stories.
• 6:06
Speaker 1: Be the you know, if we select you as the
• 6:08
Speaker 1: number one story, win ten thousand bucks. Legs get started.
• 6:11
Speaker 1: So here we go. I got one. During our interviews,
• 6:17
Speaker 1: we always had a standard interview question. We asked all candidates,
• 6:21
Speaker 1: tell me how you handle conflict at work. It's a
• 6:25
Speaker 1: good question, all right. And this one moment, this one
• 6:28
Speaker 1: woman was interviewing, when asked that question, looked at me
• 6:32
Speaker 1: dead in the eye and says, my philosophy. I don't
• 6:35
Speaker 1: get mad. I get even me and the couler interviewer
• 6:41
Speaker 1: kind of do this nervous little laugh like, oh that's
• 6:45
Speaker 1: that's that's a good one. Yeah. Nice. And she was
• 6:48
Speaker 1: not joking, and she told us, no, no, I'm not joking.
• 6:54
Speaker 1: She immediately follows it up with a story band how
• 6:56
Speaker 1: she got into a beef with an accounted at her
• 6:59
Speaker 1: last job and she got revenge on him by sabotaging
• 7:03
Speaker 1: one of his PowerPoint presentations on purpose. And when she finished,
• 7:08
Speaker 1: there was this moment where we both were sitting there thinking, Okay, yeah, no,
• 7:13
Speaker 1: we got it. So we thanked her for her time
• 7:16
Speaker 1: and we walked her out. I stood at the door
• 7:18
Speaker 1: and watched her get into her car, because up until
• 7:21
Speaker 1: that exact question, she had been doing amazing. Now I
• 7:25
Speaker 1: was sitting there thinking, Wow, this person is crushing this interview.
• 7:29
Speaker 1: And then you know, right up until she was bragging
• 7:33
Speaker 1: about getting even with a coworkers. Lord, I don't know.
• 7:37
Speaker 1: People blow up their interviews.
• 7:39
Speaker 3: This list sounds like the Taylor Swift song.
• 7:41
Speaker 1: I think sometimes I think sometimes interviewers are so good
• 7:44
Speaker 1: right they make I think it's just like part of
• 7:48
Speaker 1: the craft or something, you know, but they get that,
• 7:51
Speaker 1: you know, they get you from being like nervous and
• 7:54
Speaker 1: being like on point and got every answer, and they
• 7:56
Speaker 1: start making you think they're your friends.
• 7:58
Speaker 3: Yep, you're comfortable with.
• 7:59
Speaker 1: The You're like, yeah, yeah, let me tell you this story.
• 8:04
Speaker 1: You're just like straight take.
• 8:05
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 8:06
  Speaker 1: I think it's like it's I think it's like some
• 8:10
Speaker 1: magic They run on you in an interview and they
• 8:12
Speaker 1: get somebody to just finally let it down. I don't know.
• 8:16
  Speaker 1: I think that's pretty cool.
• 8:17

• 9:00
Speaker 1: All right, Morgan, what do you got? All Right?
• 9:03
Speaker 2: I had an interview scheduled with a candidate one morning,
• 9:05
Speaker 2: but I got stuck in traffic, So I'm hurrying to
• 9:07
Speaker 2: the office, definitely going a little bit over the speed limit,
• 9:10
Speaker 2: speeding about five or ten over while I'm still a
• 9:12
Speaker 2: couple of miles away from when I noticed this person.
• 9:15
Speaker 2: In a Blue Niece song, riding my bumper like right
• 9:18
Speaker 2: on me. Then at a light, they whip around me
• 9:21
Speaker 2: in the bike lane and the woman flips me the bird.
• 9:25
Speaker 2: Then I end up behind her the entire rest of
• 9:27
Speaker 2: the drive. I think we can kind of tell where
• 9:28
Speaker 2: this is going. Same turns, same route, and then she
• 9:32
Speaker 2: pulls into our office parking lot, and in that moment,
• 9:34
  Speaker 2: it starts.
• 9:35
  Speaker 1: To hit me.
• 9:36
Speaker 3: Wait, no way, this is the candidate I'm about.
• 9:39
  Speaker 1: No.
• 9:42
Speaker 2: Sure enough, she walks into the building and I realized
• 9:45
Speaker 2: this is a person I'm interviewing.
• 9:47
Speaker 3: She didn't see me pulling.
• 9:48
Speaker 2: Behind her, but she's sitting in the lobby totally composed,
• 9:52
Speaker 2: ready to go, either playing it off or genuinely oblivious
• 9:56
Speaker 2: that she just flipped off her interviewer five minutes ago.
• 10:00
Speaker 2: Was the most wild part. She killed the interview, everyone
• 10:02
Speaker 2: liked her, and she got the job.
• 10:04
Speaker 1: No way, Wow, I don't know. I love to blow
• 10:10
Speaker 1: up my blow up the interview stories. I think they're
• 10:12
Speaker 1: like some of my favorite for sure. Well, props props
• 10:17
Speaker 1: to her for getting the job. Literally supercame flipping the lily.
• 10:24
Speaker 1: She was spot on. I guess at the end they
• 10:26
Speaker 1: were like, man, I mean she's got sy. Yeah, shelder
• 10:30
Speaker 1: if she saw that the person pull up, you know,
• 10:33
Speaker 1: like they roll in together, and then she had to
• 10:36
Speaker 1: have recognized her later. Yeah, like, oh my god, I
• 10:40
Speaker 1: flipped this lady off earlier.
• 10:41
Speaker 3: I would have apologized if.
• 10:43
Speaker 1: I wonder if she apologized. Like, first thing, she starts
• 10:45
Speaker 1: this excuse my TV aps under so much pressure to
• 10:49
Speaker 1: get here. It was so excited about this job. Oh
• 10:54
Speaker 1: my gosh, she had whatever it took. Yeah, sure, all right, Corey,
• 10:59
Speaker 1: you you Europe? What do you got for us? Alright?
• 11:02
Speaker 5: So I once had a candidate tell me she quit
• 11:06
Speaker 5: her last job because she was in a hostile work environment.
• 11:09
Speaker 5: So I'm thinking, all right, we'll dig into that later,
• 11:12
Speaker 5: we'll ask follow ups, we'll call references if we get
• 11:14
Speaker 5: that far. Spoiler, she didn't get that far, so because
• 11:20
Speaker 5: about two questions later, we asked, what's your level of
• 11:23
Speaker 5: experience with Excel? And she immediately launches into this rant
• 11:27
Speaker 5: about the tyranny of technology and why does everything have
• 11:30
Speaker 5: to be done on.
• 11:31
Speaker 1: A computer these days? This is for a computer.
• 11:33
Speaker 5: Office job, by the way, and it turns out that
• 11:37
Speaker 5: despite putting proficient and Microsoft Office Suite on her resume,
• 11:42
Speaker 5: she hated computers. She tried to avoid using them whenever possible,
• 11:46
Speaker 5: And it turns out the hostile work environment, which us
• 11:48
Speaker 5: her employer asking her to use a computer aka to
• 11:53
  Speaker 5: do her job.
• 11:55
Speaker 1: So get that far. You just make yourself up a resume, right,
• 12:00
Speaker 1: you just told it? Bake up everything.
• 12:02
Speaker 2: Well, you can't do anything these days, well a computer
• 12:04
Speaker 2: some capacity, especially like in corporate or a computer job.
• 12:08
Speaker 3: Like what did she expect.
• 12:11
Speaker 1: Saying you're planning to be a driver. Yeah, and you
• 12:13
  Speaker 1: don't have a driver's license.
• 12:15
  Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't drive. I don't like it.
• 12:16
Speaker 1: I want to go into sales, but I don't like speaking. Yes,
• 12:22
Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, that's hilarious.
• 12:23
Speaker 3: We do have a video to react to today too.
• 12:25
Speaker 1: All right, let's do you do all right?
• 12:27
  Speaker 3: Yeah?
• 12:27
  Speaker 1: Cool?
• 12:28
Speaker 3: We got it all up in cute.
• 12:29
Speaker 1: I think who did this? Who did this segment with her?
• 12:32
  Speaker 3: Nathan did?
• 12:33
Speaker 1: Yeah? Okay cool, all right, let's check her out. Who
• 12:36
Speaker 1: is it? Do we know? Gosh?
• 12:39
Speaker 3: I know her last time is a Nausia. I'll have
• 12:42
Speaker 3: to remember her first name.
• 12:43
Speaker 1: Well, thank you to her for.
• 12:46
Speaker 3: She might introduce herself in this.
• 12:48
  Speaker 1: Okay, very cool.
• 12:49
Speaker 6: We were hiring for a marketing manager. This marketing manager
• 12:52
Speaker 6: was supposed to represent the region of North America. I
• 12:55
Speaker 6: was working for a multi public Austro own company and
• 13:00
Speaker 6: this role was really big. Between me and my manager,
• 13:02
Speaker 6: we were like, okay, we know the nuance of Australian culture,
• 13:06
Speaker 6: but also North America. How do we figure this out?
• 13:09
Speaker 6: So we did rely in the agency the first time.
• 13:11
Speaker 6: I think the theme of this is agencies could only
• 13:14
Speaker 6: go so far as an HR person, you really need to.
• 13:17
  Speaker 1: Be more involved.
• 13:18
Speaker 6: We found someone really quick. It was actually someone from
• 13:21
Speaker 6: Netflix and this person who fit the bill perfect. So
• 13:25
Speaker 6: this person sat right across from me, really sweet person. Well,
• 13:30
Speaker 6: his first day, he didn't show up on time, and
• 13:33
Speaker 6: so I was tasked to call him find out where
• 13:35
Speaker 6: he was. Unfortunately, said that he thought he was supposed
• 13:38
Speaker 6: to come out like two hours later. The manager was upset.
• 13:40
Speaker 6: I was like, what, okay, he does come in like
• 13:44
Speaker 6: an hour later actually, so that was nice. Okay, nine
• 13:48
Speaker 6: great and so you know, everything went smoothly from there.
• 13:50
Speaker 6: First day not bad. The next day he never showed up,
• 13:55
Speaker 6: so I was tasked to call him again and asked
• 13:57
Speaker 6: everything was okay. On the other end, it kind of
• 14:00
Speaker 6: sounds I don't know, like and like he like he
• 14:03
Speaker 6: was drawn like hungover. I don't know, and he said,
• 14:05
Speaker 6: I think I could work from home today and this
• 14:08
Speaker 6: is pre COVID. Okay, work from home today, but you
• 14:11
Speaker 6: need to come in the next day. By the time
• 14:13
Speaker 6: he hit Friday, basically he didn't show up. I call
• 14:16
Speaker 6: him again and start asking, like, do I really need
• 14:19
Speaker 6: to show up to the office. Is there any way
• 14:22
Speaker 6: we can arrange you like a hybrid model where I
• 14:25
Speaker 6: can come in and out And I was like, I'm sorry,
• 14:28
Speaker 6: unfortunately you can't. Is everything okay? Like you seem like
• 14:30
Speaker 6: something seems wrong, Like is there anything that we can
• 14:33
Speaker 6: do to help you? And he hung up. So, unfortunately
• 14:38
Speaker 6: I had to be the bad guy and I basically
• 14:40
Speaker 6: just said I called him again. I said, hey, you know, unfortunately,
• 14:43
  Speaker 6: I don't think it's just working now. That was a
• 14:46
Speaker 6: night one week nightmare for me and my team, and
• 14:48
