Transcript
- 0:04Speaker 1: Here comes Blue Jay's closer, Jeff Hoffman, joining us right
- 0:07Speaker 1: now on FT Jeff, thanks for joining us busy times,
- 0:10Speaker 1: and congrats on cracking the alcs. How has life been
- 0:15Speaker 1: over the last forty eight hours to celebrate slash prepare.
- 0:21Speaker 2: Yeah, just a little bit of recovery.
- 0:24Speaker 3: We uh we got after a little bit on the
- 0:27Speaker 3: on the flight home and the celebration and everything. So
- 0:29Speaker 3: we got a good day of rest yesterday and back
- 0:32Speaker 3: to workouts later today.
- 0:34Speaker 4: Would you wish the flight was longer? Based on the
- 0:37Speaker 4: good time that you guys were having. Sometimes the good
- 0:39Speaker 4: times those flights like can we like, can we circle
- 0:43Speaker 4: a little bit? I don't need no turbulence or nothing,
- 0:45Speaker 4: but can we circle a little bit?
- 0:48Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 0:49Speaker 3: Those are the ones where you kind of hope that
- 0:50Speaker 3: there's like a delay on the tarmac or whatever.
- 0:54Speaker 2: But yeah, we uh we.
- 0:56Speaker 3: We only had a quick one, but we got the
- 0:58Speaker 3: most out of it and to get back to work tonight.
- 1:02Speaker 5: Yeah, you kind of answered my question. I saw you,
- 1:05Speaker 5: you know, forty eight hours ago, and you were kind
- 1:07Speaker 5: of right at that tipping point of like you were
- 1:10Speaker 5: still there, You're still coherent, but you came out saw
- 1:12Speaker 5: your family. I know you went back inside, So I imagine
- 1:15Speaker 5: you guys were getting after it. But I guess my
- 1:18Speaker 5: question to you is, obviously you played in an amazing
- 1:21Speaker 5: place in Philadelphia. I was on the other end of
- 1:24Speaker 5: losing to you guys when I was the Atlanta Braves.
- 1:26Speaker 5: I know how crazy that fan base can be, on
- 1:29Speaker 5: how exciting they were. Take me back to Game one
- 1:33Speaker 5: in Toronto. What that experience was like with the fans.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Yeah, unbelievable, from the anthems all the way through the end.
- 1:42Speaker 3: You know, it's the amazing you know, feeling what you
- 1:48Speaker 3: feel when you play in Toronto. It's definitely a lively
- 1:53Speaker 3: group and they all they all really kind of show
- 1:58Speaker 3: their true colors and it's it's amazing to see and
- 2:01Speaker 3: we feel the support every single night. And yeah, they
- 2:04Speaker 3: come to play just like we do.
- 2:07Speaker 4: Do you feel like the fans have kind of grown
- 2:09Speaker 4: with this team? I mean, you weren't here the other years,
- 2:12Speaker 4: but throughout this season, like when it start getting nice
- 2:15Speaker 4: and they start opening the roof, that's when you guys
- 2:18Speaker 4: started to kind of start playing better. And all of
- 2:21Speaker 4: a sudden, now it's packed every single Friday night, stupid
- 2:26Speaker 4: day game, Saturday, stupid day game, Sunday. Do you feel
- 2:30Speaker 4: like they've grown with you guys, and then like that
- 2:32Speaker 4: crescendo to the postseason.
- 2:35Speaker 2: For sure.
- 2:35Speaker 3: I mean as as the summer went on, we definitely
- 2:39Speaker 3: saw that it seemed like every single night was a sellout. Yeah,
- 2:44Speaker 3: we definitely you know, feed off that, and uh, it
- 2:47Speaker 3: makes it fun to come to work and to go
- 2:49Speaker 3: out and put put out a good product on the field.
- 2:51Speaker 3: And that's what we are as a group, great product.
- 2:55Speaker 3: And and we play together and we played a win
- 2:58Speaker 3: every single night, and and we definitely feed off the
- 3:02Speaker 3: the energy.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Of the crowds.
- 3:06Speaker 5: Yeah. I was gonna ask you. Playing against you in Philadelphia,
- 3:09Speaker 5: had always felt like that team was really really tight,
- 3:12Speaker 5: and I'm sure they were, but I get a sense
- 3:15Speaker 5: that this is probably another level of tightness what we're
- 3:18Speaker 5: experiencing with Toronto.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:23Speaker 3: Absolutely, I mean I I say it all the time.
- 3:26Speaker 2: I mean, this is what it feels like.
- 3:28Speaker 3: This is what it's supposed to feel like to play
- 3:30Speaker 3: on a good team.
- 3:32Speaker 2: This, Uh, you know, we're good because we're tight.
- 3:35Speaker 3: We're you know, everybody spending the maximum amount of time
- 3:40Speaker 3: in the clubhouse every single day, which is which is
- 3:42Speaker 3: awesome to see, you know, even when we have down time,
- 3:46Speaker 3: everybody's together. So uh, we we really matched together well
- 3:51Speaker 3: as a group. And you know, if it feels it
- 3:54Speaker 3: feels like we have you know what it takes to
- 3:57Speaker 3: to do it all right.
- 3:59Speaker 4: The post is a time when everything's amped up. When
- 4:03Speaker 4: you close the game out and you looked over at
- 4:06Speaker 4: the at the Yankees side of the dugout. How much
- 4:11Speaker 4: of that is an emotion that comes out in the moment,
- 4:15Speaker 4: And how much of that because then we saw that
- 4:17Speaker 4: you guys played New York, New York after after my
- 4:20Speaker 4: guy Schneider's speech, how much of that is like pre
- 4:24Speaker 4: planned and talked about and give you emotion to win
- 4:28Speaker 4: these huge games.
- 4:31Speaker 3: Yeah, I think it's it's pure emotion, you know. I
- 4:34Speaker 3: think it would be the same no matter who was
- 4:36Speaker 3: on the other side. At the end of the day,
- 4:39Speaker 3: you're the team that gets to move on and keep
- 4:41Speaker 3: playing and that that, you know, means everything to us.
- 4:46Speaker 3: So yeah, I mean all the New York, New York stuff, that's, uh,
- 4:52Speaker 3: that's all great, But at the end of the day,
- 4:53Speaker 3: I was just us kind of letting loose and you know,
- 4:58Speaker 3: enjoying the moment.
- 4:59Speaker 2: And you know, after that night, we kind of set
- 5:01Speaker 2: our sights forward to next.
- 5:05Speaker 4: All right, you got the last out of that game,
- 5:07Speaker 4: and I have to I have to remember back to
- 5:09Speaker 4: like catching the last out, or like meeting my pitcher
- 5:13Speaker 4: part way, and I watched Kirk come out to you
- 5:15Speaker 4: and you guys pounded whatever you guys did. If there's
- 5:19Speaker 4: a moment when or when looking ahead when you close
- 5:22Speaker 4: out the next series, do you feel like you could
- 5:25Speaker 4: catch him if he jumps into your arms or do
- 5:28Speaker 4: you want to jump into his arms and make him
- 5:30Speaker 4: catch you.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Nah, I want him doing the jump in. I got him,
- 5:34Speaker 2: I got him.
- 5:35Speaker 3: We're uh, we're really looking forward to that. And I
- 5:38Speaker 3: hope there's a I hope there's the opportunity to do that,
- 5:41Speaker 3: and uh yeah, I'll have to. Uh, I have to
- 5:43Speaker 3: make sure I'm I'm getting primed up for that one.
- 5:48Speaker 5: Yeah. I want to just kind of go back in time.
- 5:52Speaker 5: Obviously drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays a couple of
- 5:55Speaker 5: different stops, kind of just take me through this kind
- 5:57Speaker 5: of full circle moment that you've had to be drafted
- 6:00Speaker 5: by the Blue Jays in the first round, be traded,
- 6:03Speaker 5: go on a couple other places throughout your career. Now
- 6:06Speaker 5: coming back home to Toronto and now closing out games to
- 6:10Speaker 5: allow your team to advance to the next round.
- 6:14Speaker 3: Yeah, it's an amazing uh full circle when you think
- 6:16Speaker 3: about it. You know, everything obviously happens for a reason
- 6:22Speaker 3: and everything's gonna be uh hopefully good at the end
- 6:26Speaker 3: of the day. But yeah, going through that time, I mean,
- 6:29Speaker 3: obviously at that time, the Blue Jays were good, and
- 6:31Speaker 3: I was really excited to be a part of that
- 6:33Speaker 3: organ the organization at that time, and to see them
- 6:37Speaker 3: go on and and you know, make some noise in
- 6:39Speaker 3: the playoffs. That year was was tough. But you know,
- 6:43Speaker 3: I I look back on that time as you know,
- 6:45Speaker 3: that was you know, my development as a player, and
- 6:48Speaker 3: I went and learned a lot of things, trying to
- 6:50Speaker 3: pitch at high altitude and then moving on and trying
- 6:53Speaker 3: to pitch in a small ballpark in Cincinnati and making
- 6:57Speaker 3: my way to filling all that good stuff. So you know,
- 6:59Speaker 3: none of that have happened if I didn't get traded
- 7:01Speaker 3: out of here in the first place. And yeah, I'm
- 7:05Speaker 3: really excited at that. We get this opportunity to bring
- 7:10Speaker 3: something special back to the city of Toronto and back
- 7:12Speaker 3: to Canada, and yeah, we have a bunch of guys
- 7:16Speaker 3: in the clubhouse that are really excited to do that too.
- 7:18Speaker 3: So we come to play every night with that in mind,
- 7:22Speaker 3: and you know, we feel like we got a really
- 7:24Speaker 3: good shot.
- 7:26Speaker 4: Later on, we're going to ask you about picking up teammates,
- 7:28Speaker 4: obviously with the kirkhating thing, but I want to first
- 7:30Speaker 4: ask you about picking up your teammate Louis Varlin. The
- 7:33Speaker 4: home run that he gave up as pictures as bullpen
- 7:38Speaker 4: guys who have elite, ridiculous stuff, you've seen this guy
- 7:42Speaker 4: the entire year. He's in your division, and for him
- 7:45Speaker 4: to do that, what is y'all's reaction in the moment
- 7:49Speaker 4: in the bullpen? Like whoa, how did you keep that fair?
- 7:51Speaker 4: Or like afterwards when you guys were all talking, and
- 7:54Speaker 4: does that change how you guys throw to a guy
- 7:57Speaker 4: like that?
- 8:00Speaker 3: Well, I mean, I think everybody, you know, everybody who
- 8:03Speaker 3: has eyes saw that that was, you know, not a
- 8:06Speaker 3: bad pitch.
- 8:07Speaker 4: Uh.
- 8:08Speaker 3: I think the underlying uh information that you get if
- 8:11Speaker 3: you watch the whole series is we've kind of been
- 8:13Speaker 3: doing that to him, uh, the entire series, pounding them
- 8:16Speaker 3: in And obviously we knew we had we had the sliders.
- 8:20Speaker 3: If you know if if we needed to get to
- 8:22Speaker 3: that point, and I mean when you when you throw
- 8:26Speaker 3: so many of the same location, same pitch to this
- 8:28Speaker 3: to a guy like that, he is gonna, you know,
- 8:32Speaker 3: make the adjustment.
- 8:33Speaker 2: That's what makes him in the world.
- 8:37Speaker 3: So yeah, it was just one of those things where
- 8:40Speaker 3: it was bad timing for him to actually get to one.
- 8:43Speaker 3: And you know, one hundred mile an hour fastball, you know,
- 8:46Speaker 3: three balls in off the plate is is never really
- 8:49Speaker 3: gonna hurt you except when it does. So you know,
- 8:52Speaker 3: we kind of all, you know, told Louis that you know,
- 8:55Speaker 3: that was just a blip in the radar and to
- 8:58Speaker 3: go out the next day and and do exactly what
- 9:01Speaker 3: he does, and he did that for US.
- 9:05Speaker 1: FT is presented by Fox one, and we're getting ready
- 9:08Speaker 1: to talk about the Phillies coming up in a moment.
- 9:10Speaker 1: But on the American League side, you've been watching these
- 9:14Speaker 1: games on Fox one if you're in the US, and
- 9:17Speaker 1: you have the opportunity to keep doing that by getting
- 9:20Speaker 1: yourself a little seven day free trial at foxwe dot com.
- 9:23Speaker 1: So the QR code is on the screen if you
- 9:25Speaker 1: want to check that out and get yourself the free
- 9:27Speaker 1: seven day trial so you can see what it has
- 9:29Speaker 1: to offer. It's not just the playoffs, it's also football,
- 9:34Speaker 1: college football, pregame shows, sitcoms, the whole deal.
- 9:37Speaker 2: So check it out. There's something for everyone.
- 9:39Speaker 1: It's brand new and they've been sponsoring us here during
- 9:42Speaker 1: the postseason. Also, specifically, AJ's game tonight can be accessed
- 9:48Speaker 1: via Fox One. AJ will be on the call with
- 9:50Speaker 1: Adam Waynwright and Adam Amean And you've got the Mariners
- 9:54Speaker 1: matching up with the Tigers Brady on Sundays, among many
- 9:58Speaker 1: other things.
- 10:00Speaker 5: Yeah, speaking of stuff, you've always had the stuff. I
- 10:03Speaker 5: stew in the box against you two years ago and
- 10:05Speaker 5: knew you had closer stuff. Was there someone in that
- 10:08Speaker 5: Philly bullpen when you were there that kind of almost
- 10:10Speaker 5: kind of groomed you to get in that mindset of
- 10:12Speaker 5: being able to close out games? And then what did
- 10:15Speaker 5: you learn about yourself? You know, going from a seventh
- 10:18Speaker 5: eighth inning guy to now having to be the guy
- 10:20Speaker 5: at the back end of the bullpen?
- 10:23Speaker 3: Yeah, I think, uh, you know, Matt Strap was a
- 10:27Speaker 3: big influence on me through my time in Philadelphia. I think,
- 10:31Speaker 3: you know, my mentality, uh got some tweaking, and you know,
- 10:37Speaker 3: I kind of learned a little bit better how to
- 10:40Speaker 3: go about life in the bullpen, and and you know,
- 10:44Speaker 3: just kind of kept the ball rolling and and tried
- 10:48Speaker 3: to kind of stay right where I was get a
- 10:49Speaker 3: little bit better each day. And yeah, and then this
- 10:53Speaker 3: year getting the full time job kind of you know,
- 10:58Speaker 3: I learned obviously the good and the bad, and you know,
- 11:03Speaker 3: I wasn't as good as I wanted to be this
- 11:05Speaker 3: year as as a from like a total total seasons perspective,
- 11:11Speaker 3: I want to be a lot more consistent moving forward.
- 11:13Speaker 3: But yeah, I learned a lot of things from Matt
- 11:17Speaker 3: that I'll take with me kind of moving forward and
- 11:20Speaker 3: and uh, you know, hopefully you know, put together more
- 11:24Speaker 3: consistent outings moving forward.
- 11:27Speaker 4: All right, Oh, Ryan Kirkran, I'm assuming you saw the
- 11:30Speaker 4: play last night as a as a bullpen mat of his.
- 11:36Speaker 4: What's your thought when you saw the play, what's your
- 11:39Speaker 4: aftermath of it? And what's your feeling when you see
- 11:43Speaker 4: that play yourself thinking about that play and how you
- 11:48Speaker 4: would have handled it?
- 11:50Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, it's it's one of those things where
- 11:56Speaker 3: you know, we've practiced that play hundreds of times spring train,
- 12:00Speaker 3: throughout the season, and you know, he got an in
- 12:05Speaker 3: between hot bobbled it and uh then at that time
- 12:09Speaker 3: kind of felt like, I don't know, maybe he had
- 12:12Speaker 3: a better shot at at the guy at home than
- 12:14Speaker 3: he did.
- 12:15Speaker 2: Uh turn and thrown the first.
- 12:18Speaker 3: That play happens quick and kind of have to have
- 12:22Speaker 3: your mind up beforehand. Uh what you're gonna do if
- 12:25Speaker 3: there's a babble or something like that. And it's just
- 12:28Speaker 3: a really you know, tough, tough way to go. And
- 12:32Speaker 3: I love Orion, He's one of my one of my
- 12:34Speaker 3: good buddies. And yeah, at some point I'll reach out
- 12:39Speaker 3: to him and and see how he's doing. But uh,
- 12:42Speaker 3: he's he's gonna be a great relief pitcher for a
- 12:45Speaker 3: long time and and he's gonna be a really valuable
- 12:47Speaker 3: player for a long time. And I think he's got
- 12:50Speaker 3: a great head on his shoulders and he'll be able
- 12:52Speaker 3: to kind of move past this at some point.
- 12:55Speaker 4: What about Nick Castios And I say this because you
- 12:58Speaker 4: were teammates with him. There's a video of him running,
- 13:01Speaker 4: sprinting as hard as he can to the mound to
- 13:04Speaker 4: be there for a Ryan Kirkring. Can you attest to
- 13:07Speaker 4: that side of Nick Costianos? After about three days after
- 13:11Speaker 4: he got eviscerated by Philly media for what he said
- 13:15Speaker 4: about Philly fans.
- 13:18Speaker 3: Yeah, Nick, Uh, Nick's a great person when it comes
- 13:21Speaker 3: down to it, And uh, that's you know, kind of
- 13:27Speaker 3: how I try to look at my teammates. I don't
- 13:32Speaker 3: look at him as baseball players. I look a look
- 13:34Speaker 3: at him as people. And there's a lot of good
- 13:35Speaker 3: people in baseball and Nix one of them. And uh,
- 13:40Speaker 3: I know exactly, you know what Nick was thinking in
- 13:43Speaker 3: that moment, and it's on a human level, it's not
- 13:47Speaker 3: you know, on a baseball level. And yeah, he did
- 13:51Speaker 3: exactly what I would expect a lot of guys to do,
- 13:54Speaker 3: and it's to put a hand, put your arm around
- 13:56Speaker 3: a guy that's you know, a young kid, and and
- 14:00Speaker 3: kind of thrown into the fire, zoomed through the system
- 14:06Speaker 3: kind of a lot like you Savage, where you know,
- 14:08Speaker 3: he was in low A at the start of the
- 14:10Speaker 3: year and then all of a sudden he's pitching in
- 14:11Speaker 3: the postseason later that year. Obviously, orian's a year, a
- 14:16Speaker 3: year or two past that point now, but yeah, it's
- 14:20Speaker 3: Nick being a leader, being a veteran guy, and a
- 14:23Speaker 3: guy that you want in your corner.
- 14:27Speaker 1: Hey, I want to ask about a current teammate in
- 14:30Speaker 1: Vladdy Junior. So what did you witness from him in
- 14:34Speaker 1: this last series? Aside from the great performance the tears
- 14:38Speaker 1: on the field afterward, there's always the big storyline with
- 14:41Speaker 1: you know, how he's got something extra against the Yankees.
- 14:45Speaker 2: Did you see that? Did you feel that? Did you
- 14:47Speaker 2: hear that.
- 14:50Speaker 3: Vladdy Vladdie shows up to play every single night the
- 14:53Speaker 3: same way, no matter who's on the other side. Now,
- 14:58Speaker 3: I don't know exactly the history about him, him and
- 15:00Speaker 3: the Yankees, but I know that he does. You know,
- 15:03Speaker 3: he likes to play well against good teams and in
- 15:05Speaker 3: big spots, and that's you know, kind of why he
- 15:10Speaker 3: is who he is. He's, uh, he's the face of
- 15:12Speaker 3: our franchise, and it's actually amazing to see guys like
- 15:19Speaker 3: that step up in big moments and to kind of
- 15:22Speaker 3: carry carry the team a little bit. Obviously, I know
- 15:25Speaker 3: our offenses is outrageous right now, but Vlady is such
- 15:29Speaker 3: a huge part of that right in the middle of it.
- 15:32Speaker 3: And yeah, once again, great great person, Uh, extremely hard worker,
- 15:39Speaker 3: and he loves to win. He wants to win and
- 15:41Speaker 3: uh and we all feel that and we try to
- 15:45Speaker 3: try to follow suit, all.
- 15:47Speaker 4: Right, aren't you glad that you're wearing blue and not orange? Sometimes?
- 15:50Speaker 4: Aren't you glad that you didn't pass your physical Yeah?
- 15:54Speaker 2: A little bit, A little bit, I'd be on the
- 15:57Speaker 2: couch right now.
- 15:59Speaker 4: You'd been golfing, you be on the couch. And isn't that?
- 16:01Speaker 4: Isn't that something? That's that It makes it a little
- 16:04Speaker 4: bit sweeter, not vindicated, not that you're you're playing. You
- 16:08Speaker 4: told us in spring training. You're like, ah, you know what,
- 16:11Speaker 4: there's a little bit more And I can see that
- 16:14Speaker 4: maybe pushing you. Am I right or wrong?
- 16:21Speaker 2: I wanted to play well against them?
- 16:23Speaker 4: Uh?
- 16:24Speaker 3: Maybe a little bit more. Uh, But at the end
- 16:27Speaker 3: of the day, I'm happy with uh. Without obviously how
- 16:30Speaker 3: everything turned out. I feel like I I you know,
- 16:33Speaker 3: me and my family ended up in a in an
- 16:35Speaker 3: unbelievable place, an unbelievable organization that's top notch from from
- 16:39Speaker 3: top to bottom.
- 16:41Speaker 2: They take care of us really well.
- 16:44Speaker 3: And yeah, I mean, who doesn't want to play meaningful
- 16:48Speaker 3: baseball in October? You know I I I've been on
- 16:53Speaker 3: the other side. I've been going home and you know,
- 16:56Speaker 3: at the end of September and and this is much better,
- 16:58Speaker 3: and yeah, we're excited about our opportunity and we're looking
- 17:05Speaker 3: forward to the next series.
- 17:07Speaker 1: Jeff, last one Baseballly question for you. Two thoughts, one
- 17:11Speaker 1: on pitching side, one on hitting side. We had Eric
- 17:14Speaker 1: Chavis on with us yesterday, former hitting coach for the Mets,
- 17:16Speaker 1: and he was like, teams are gonna have to be
- 17:18Speaker 1: more like the Jays. The pitching is just too nasty.
- 17:21Speaker 1: You need more contact in your game. Of course, still
- 17:24Speaker 1: need pop, but there's got to be a shift back
- 17:26Speaker 1: to a little bit more contact. Do you agree after
- 17:28Speaker 1: witnessing what you've seen so far from the Jays this
- 17:31Speaker 1: season and on the pitching side, do you think that
- 17:34Speaker 1: every I don't want to say young pitcher, because you
- 17:36Speaker 1: gotta wait until the arms develop, but do you think
- 17:38Speaker 1: that most pitchers should learn a splitter? Based on what
- 17:41Speaker 1: we've seen from you, from Trey, from Kevin and others.
- 17:48Speaker 3: Well, yeah, I mean I get to witness firsthand what
- 17:52Speaker 3: our offense does every night, and we don't. We don't
- 17:54Speaker 3: win in one way, we went in you know, countless ways.
- 17:59Speaker 3: I think, Yeah, it's it's you're gonna have more success,
- 18:04Speaker 3: I believe, uh, you know, clogging up the base pass,
- 18:09Speaker 3: especially late in the season in October and stuff like that.
- 18:13Speaker 3: You can't always depend on, you know, a guy hitting
- 18:16Speaker 3: a two or a three run homer and kind of
- 18:19Speaker 3: leading the way.
- 18:19Speaker 2: Uh. And we we don't depend on that.
- 18:22Speaker 3: We you know, we hit singles, we hit doubles, we
- 18:25Speaker 3: we hit situationally. We got guys who understand the game
- 18:30Speaker 3: and who understand what you're trying to do and what
- 18:33Speaker 3: you're trying to accomplish. And that's why we are so
- 18:38Speaker 3: proficient as an offense.
- 18:40Speaker 2: I believe.
- 18:42Speaker 3: So yeah, I mean, I you know, we we fink
- 18:45Speaker 3: we match up with Milwaukee mid season and they it
- 18:50Speaker 3: literally looked like we were looking in a mirror, and
- 18:53Speaker 3: I was like, yeah, that's like, those are the hardest
- 18:55Speaker 3: teams to beat because they they just keep coming at
- 18:59Speaker 3: you and you know, two out RBIs and and.
- 19:03Speaker 2: Oh two to oh two to three two walk.
- 19:06Speaker 3: Home and clogging up the bases and and just kind
- 19:09Speaker 3: of making stuff happen. And then on the splitter front,
- 19:14Speaker 3: obviously like it's it's a really good pitch. It's a
- 19:17Speaker 3: it's a great pitch because you can maintain your arm
- 19:19Speaker 3: speed and your hand speed and and really tunnel it
- 19:23Speaker 3: well off your fastball. And you see that with with
- 19:27Speaker 3: Trey and and how much separation he creates, and how
- 19:30Speaker 3: similar the ball looks coming out of his hand, and
- 19:32Speaker 3: and then all of a sudden, ones on the on
- 19:34Speaker 3: home plate and and ones at the top of the zone,
- 19:37Speaker 3: you know, kind of blown by you. So, uh, it's
- 19:39Speaker 3: a great pitch if you have the arsenal that can
- 19:43Speaker 3: hold it. I'm not going to tell everybody to go
- 19:45Speaker 3: out there and do it, because it's not gonna it's
- 19:47Speaker 3: not going to be right for everyone. But if you
- 19:50Speaker 3: are a guy where that pitch can tunnel well with
- 19:52Speaker 3: your other ones, then absolutely it's it's gonna be one
- 19:55Speaker 3: of the best pitches moving forward.
- 19:57Speaker 1: It's fun pitch to watch. Your team's super fun to watch.
- 20:00Speaker 1: Jet thanks for joining us, but we appreciate the stop by.
- 20:02Speaker 1: Good luck the next round. Man, oh, thank you. Thanks
- 20:05Speaker 1: for having me.
- 20:06Speaker 2: Guys,
