Transcript
- 0:06Speaker 1: Hey everybody, this is Anthony Michael Hall, and you're listening
- 0:08Speaker 1: to my friends Brian, Jay, and Misty on Movie Meltdown.
- 0:12Speaker 2: Don't touch that dial.
- 0:19Speaker 3: This episode is rated M for Misty. Yes, that's right,
- 0:22Speaker 3: this is a Misty episode, so it will be laced
- 0:24Speaker 3: with profanity even more than usual. If you're not comfortable
- 0:27Speaker 3: with this level of profanity, perhaps this isn't the episode
- 0:30Speaker 3: for you. But we have many other episodes to choose
- 0:33Speaker 3: from that do not feature Misty, and will probably be
- 0:35Speaker 3: far less offensive. Okay, maybe. That having been said, on
- 0:40Speaker 3: with the show.
- 0:40Speaker 4: It's showtime, folks.
- 0:42Speaker 5: Enjoy the show.
- 0:43Speaker 6: Our nuclear reactor pumping out one million kilowatts of power.
- 1:31Speaker 7: What I could do is take this wall and just
- 1:34Speaker 7: turn it this way. So I've got a much larger
- 1:36Speaker 7: living space. Plus it'll create a flow into the main
- 1:40Speaker 7: living area. It'll be incredible.
- 1:41Speaker 8: No, no.
- 1:42Speaker 7: I just elevate this about six inches, create the illusion
- 1:45Speaker 7: of two rooms and yet still have that flow.
- 1:48Speaker 9: And I can take bookshelves and put it here.
- 2:00Speaker 5: What's up and welcome to Movie Meltdown. I'm Brian.
- 2:02Speaker 9: I'm Misty.
- 2:03Speaker 1: I'm Jay.
- 2:04Speaker 5: And we're coming to you live in a digital recording
- 2:06Speaker 5: from the bastion of awesomeness.
- 2:08Speaker 9: It's kind of dirty, but yes it is.
- 2:10Speaker 1: It's the bastion of slightly organized.
- 2:16Speaker 5: You made progress.
- 2:17Speaker 9: The living room was fucking awesome.
- 2:18Speaker 5: I came in and I saw the living room. It
- 2:20Speaker 5: wasn't just stuff.
- 2:21Speaker 1: It doesn't look like a hoarder lives here.
- 2:24Speaker 9: We hid it all in the back rooms.
- 2:26Speaker 5: Hidden in the back.
- 2:26Speaker 10: Hmm.
- 2:27Speaker 9: But yeah, we had to clean the house because they
- 2:29Speaker 9: were coming to install a faster internet. So I had
- 2:32Speaker 9: to make sure they could actually get to it.
- 2:34Speaker 5: Fiber optic.
- 2:35Speaker 9: Yeah, three days were spent in this process of me
- 2:37Speaker 9: cleaning up way to the fiber optic maker.
- 2:39Speaker 3: Yeah, it was.
- 2:40Speaker 5: I do always hate that when they have to send
- 2:42Speaker 5: people out for some, I don't know, some poor bastard
- 2:45Speaker 5: has to do a service call of some sort to
- 2:47Speaker 5: your home.
- 2:47Speaker 1: And I'm just like, oh.
- 2:49Speaker 5: I'm not like normal people. Like, they're always going to
- 2:52Speaker 5: come in and be like, dude, what the hell is
- 2:54Speaker 5: wrong with you?
- 2:54Speaker 9: This one was not as impressive as the last one
- 2:56Speaker 9: we had.
- 2:56Speaker 1: No, the last guy we had was kind of a,
- 2:58Speaker 1: he was a fellow nerd. He had like Mario tattoos
- 3:02Speaker 1: and some other movie.
- 3:03Speaker 5: That's pretty geeky.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Movie related tattoos. And he came in the house and
- 3:06Speaker 1: he was like.
- 3:06Speaker 5: Oh my God. And you're like, yes, I know. We
- 3:10Speaker 5: have the coolest stuff you've ever seen.
- 3:12Speaker 9: Look at that from the pizza delivery guy too.
- 3:14Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 3:15Speaker 5: He's just like, what the hell? Can I take a thing?
- 3:19Speaker 3: No, get out.
- 3:21Speaker 5: My tip is one thing. I'm gonna close my eyes
- 3:23Speaker 5: and grab a thing. No! Stop touching my toys! Exactly.
- 3:27Speaker 9: I'll break a bitch.
- 3:28Speaker 5: Yeah, it was always weird whenever... I mean, it's weird
- 3:31Speaker 5: in general when strangers come to your house, but... Yeah,
- 3:33Speaker 5: I don't like it.
- 3:34Speaker 9: I hid in the kitchen most of the time he
- 3:35Speaker 9: was here.
- 3:35Speaker 5: It's extra weird when you're, like, not a normal person. Like, again,
- 3:39Speaker 5: I feel like normal people don't really give a rat's ass.
- 3:41Speaker 5: They're just like, yep, here you go, here's my den, and, like,
- 3:43Speaker 5: it looks generic and boring, but... When you accumulate stuff
- 3:47Speaker 5: and weird stuff like we do, like, yeah, you have to,
- 3:50Speaker 5: there's usually an explanation needed or just some sort of weird,
- 3:54Speaker 5: you get looks.
- 3:55Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Just like, why do you have so many TVs?
- 3:59Speaker 5: Just shut up and hook up my cable to them all.
- 4:01Speaker 9: Sir, this is from 1946. It's not going to work.
- 4:05Speaker 9: Shut up!
- 4:06Speaker 5: I want it to be digital!
- 4:08Speaker 9: I mean, we have, what, three TVs in the living room?
- 4:10Speaker 9: And only one of them from, like, this century.
- 4:13Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 4:14Speaker 9: I don't know how old. One of them's from, like,
- 4:16Speaker 9: 1920s or something.
- 4:18Speaker 1: I don't know. It might be.
- 4:21Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 4:21Speaker 1: It's old. It's real old.
- 4:23Speaker 9: No, one of them's probably from, like, the 50s or 60s.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Yeah, one of them's from the 50s.
- 4:28Speaker 5: That's half the stuff in my living room. I look
- 4:30Speaker 5: around and I'm like, at least... I mean, I'm a weirdo,
- 4:33Speaker 5: but at least I kind of have taste compared to
- 4:35Speaker 5: most people. Oh, no, I don't. But most people have, like,
- 4:38Speaker 5: modernized crap furniture, and I'm like.
- 4:40Speaker 1: At least, like... Oh, they all went to Ikea.
- 4:42Speaker 5: These, yeah, these things sitting over here are, like, damn near, like,
- 4:47Speaker 5: full-on antique at this point. Like, they're edging their way
- 4:50Speaker 5: to antique. And, like, this other one's mid-century and badass,
- 4:53Speaker 5: so it's like, screw you guys. At least I have
- 4:54Speaker 5: cool stuff. I'm in debt for the rest of my life,
- 4:57Speaker 5: and I have nothing else, but at least this furniture
- 4:59Speaker 5: right here. I can't afford any more furniture, but These
- 5:02Speaker 5: four things.
- 5:03Speaker 1: This table's probably, what, 50s?
- 5:06Speaker 9: Probably.
- 5:06Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 5:08Speaker 5: I think I have one close to this.
- 5:09Speaker 9: Some of the dirt on it's part from the... 50s. Yeah.
- 5:14Speaker 5: It's vintage dirt. Yeah, it makes it cool.
- 5:16Speaker 9: It's one of those tables that has little drop leaves
- 5:18Speaker 9: on the side, and I have no idea what's in
- 5:20Speaker 9: that fucking bowl.
- 5:21Speaker 5: Yeah, it's just, it's cereal.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Best to not look.
- 5:24Speaker 5: It's cereal.
- 5:24Speaker 3: It's like Mr.
- 5:26Speaker 5: T's cereal. It's like been there a long time.
- 5:28Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 5:30Speaker 1: Like cast off from me seasoning meats and stuff like
- 5:34Speaker 1: that that's why.
- 5:35Speaker 9: It's stained yellow in places.
- 5:37Speaker 5: No no i came that's just from the tumor just
- 5:39Speaker 5: sunshiny yellow back when they used to make things and
- 5:43Speaker 5: golden now what was that one we had golden harvest
- 5:47Speaker 5: we had a we had a refrigerator that was golden
- 5:49Speaker 5: harvest and the classics at the era of golden harvest
- 5:54Speaker 5: and avocado I mean, you made really quality colors of
- 5:58Speaker 5: your appliances. Yeah. As Misty showcased in her 1940s wallpaper.
- 6:05Speaker 1: It's 50, right?
- 6:07Speaker 9: I don't know. This house was even built till 61.
- 6:09Speaker 9: What are you talking about?
- 6:11Speaker 5: Yeah, but she brought this in. This was vintage when
- 6:13Speaker 5: she bought it. It's probably from Sears.
- 6:15Speaker 9: It's got glitter, motherfuckers. Glitter in the wallpaper. Yeah.
- 6:19Speaker 5: What are you, a unicorn?
- 6:20Speaker 9: Maybe.
- 6:20Speaker 5: That'd be awesome, by the way.
- 6:23Speaker 1: We found the ad somewhere when we were going through stuff.
- 6:25Speaker 1: One of the closets, we found the ad for this house.
- 6:29Speaker 5: Like when she bought it?
- 6:30Speaker 1: No, they're all Sears. They were built by Sears in
- 6:36Speaker 1: the late 50s, early 60s.
- 6:38Speaker 5: I do remember that being a thing.
- 6:39Speaker 1: And they're all slab homes. And it's got the exact
- 6:45Speaker 1: layout of all the houses.
- 6:46Speaker 5: The pattern from the catalog.
- 6:48Speaker 1: Well, yeah.
- 6:48Speaker 5: You can pick it out of the Sears catalog. Well, yeah.
- 6:51Speaker 1: I mean, there's a... Just in the old part of
- 6:54Speaker 1: the neighborhood, which is... I mean, how many houses do
- 6:57Speaker 1: you think is in the old part right here? It's
- 6:59Speaker 1: just on this side. The old part of the neighborhood,
- 7:01Speaker 1: there's probably, like, I'd say 40 or 50 houses.
- 7:04Speaker 9: If that many.
- 7:04Speaker 1: But they're all the same floor plan.
- 7:07Speaker 5: One of seven choices.
- 7:07Speaker 9: Some of them are switched.
- 7:08Speaker 1: Well, no, it's like one of two or three.
- 7:11Speaker 9: Some of them are switched. Some of them have garages.
- 7:13Speaker 9: Some of them don't have garages. Some of them have, like,
- 7:15Speaker 9: an extra room. Some of them have a carport.
- 7:17Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 7:17Speaker 1: Some of them are.
- 7:19Speaker 1: You know, like you said, the floor plans are switched
- 7:21Speaker 1: back and forth. So some of them, the garage or
- 7:24Speaker 1: some of them, the living rooms on the right side
- 7:26Speaker 1: and some of them, the living rooms on the left side,
- 7:28Speaker 1: you know, so it's like the guy next door to us.
- 7:31Speaker 1: He has the mirror image of our house with the
- 7:36Speaker 1: exception of, His garage is a through garage, like it's
- 7:41Speaker 1: got two garage doors.
- 7:42Speaker 9: That might have been like in the later edition.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Yeah, and then they've got, he's got a bigger backyard
- 7:45Speaker 1: because we live on a corner lot.
- 7:47Speaker 5: The mirror image will be really good when you take
- 7:49Speaker 5: him out and then take over his place. If he
- 7:51Speaker 5: doesn't pull it closer.
- 7:52Speaker 9: If he doesn't manage to burn the motherfucker down first.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Yeah, geez.
- 7:57Speaker 5: More of your fun neighbors.
- 7:59Speaker 9: No, seriously, when we were bringing in our stacks of
- 8:02Speaker 9: wood so I could build my third shelf for my
- 8:04Speaker 9: Fear Street books.
- 8:05Speaker 5: You can expand on that story in a little bit.
- 8:07Speaker 5: But go ahead.
- 8:08Speaker 9: He was preparing to mow the lawn because boyfriend had
- 8:11Speaker 9: paid somebody to mow ours yesterday and his was as
- 8:14Speaker 9: bad as ours was. Anyways, to kill the weeds that
- 8:17Speaker 9: are growing out of his front porch, gasoline.
- 8:21Speaker 3: Good call.
- 8:22Speaker 1: Pour gasoline all over it.
- 8:24Speaker 5: Very smart.
- 8:25Speaker 9: Right outside of his front door.
- 8:26Speaker 5: Did he have a cigarette hanging out of his mouth
- 8:28Speaker 5: the whole time?
- 8:28Speaker 9: I would not have been even remotely surprised. And I'm
- 8:30Speaker 9: just like, I would be more than okay with him
- 8:34Speaker 9: and his entire family burning up if they weren't so
- 8:36Speaker 9: fucking close to my house.
- 8:38Speaker 5: Don't take out ours in the process.
- 8:40Speaker 9: I'm like, really?
- 8:41Speaker 5: Really?
- 8:41Speaker 9: That's, pour gas right there.
- 8:44Speaker 1: Right in front of your front door.
- 8:46Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 8:46Speaker 1: And it wasn't like just a little bit of gas
- 8:48Speaker 1: or he was just spraying a little bit. He had
- 8:50Speaker 1: a five gallon container of gas and he was pouring
- 8:52Speaker 1: it all. over the front porch.
- 8:54Speaker 5: And is gas any cheaper than weed killer?
- 8:56Speaker 1: You know, it's not.
- 8:57Speaker 5: Not really at this point.
- 8:58Speaker 12: It's not.
- 8:58Speaker 5: It's not like this is a more economical.
- 9:01Speaker 9: I understand. I was waiting for him to set it
- 9:02Speaker 9: on fire. Yeah.
- 9:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:04Speaker 5: Now that would take care of your weeds.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Well, I was walking outside. I was walking outside to
- 9:08Speaker 1: go get more boards.
- 9:08Speaker 9: I had to come back in the house because that
- 9:09Speaker 9: would be giving me a headache because I could smell it.
- 9:11Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Well, I walk outside.
- 9:13Speaker 5: I love gasoline all the time.
- 9:14Speaker 1: And she's like, look at me. She goes, check this
- 9:15Speaker 1: motherfucker out here.
- 9:17Speaker 5: And I looked over.
- 9:18Speaker 1: I was like, I know.
- 9:19Speaker 5: I see it.
- 9:19Speaker 9: I see it. Like, check out this motherfucker over here.
- 9:23Speaker 9: Are you fucking seeing this? Are you fucking seeing this?
- 9:26Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I'm seeing it. I'm smelling it too.
- 9:29Speaker 9: I didn't smell it at first. I had to stand
- 9:30Speaker 9: there for a few minutes for it to waft over. Yeah, anyways.
- 9:33Speaker 9: I forget.
- 9:34Speaker 5: Anyway, get to the important part. They all know you're
- 9:37Speaker 5: a geek, but give them the full-on level of geekdom
- 9:40Speaker 5: because you're buying wood for.
- 9:42Speaker 9: shells for my books because we kicked the kid out
- 9:45Speaker 9: of her room.
- 9:47Speaker 5: Books are more important than family. Get out.
- 9:49Speaker 9: I'm at my library.
- 9:49Speaker 1: She's in the other room.
- 9:52Speaker 9: She still knows I got to hook over her room.
- 9:55Speaker 5: She just curls up in the ball on the floor.
- 9:57Speaker 10: She's got a futon.
- 9:58Speaker 5: She's got a futon.
- 10:01Speaker 9: But, Fear Street. Tonight will be the Fear Street bookshelf.
- 10:06Speaker 9: The other one was like my regular books and then
- 10:09Speaker 9: my young adult books. And now we're finally getting into
- 10:12Speaker 9: the Fear Street bookshelf. The Fear Street and all the
- 10:14Speaker 9: 90s young adult horror books. And the Choose Your Own Adventure,
- 10:18Speaker 9: because apparently they're going to have to go all on
- 10:19Speaker 9: the same shelf, which I'm just like, holy shit, how
- 10:21Speaker 9: is this even going to work? Because I've got so many.
- 10:24Speaker 9: So we had to actually, I was pretty, I was pretty,
- 10:26Speaker 9: I was pretty happy. We were going to build a
- 10:27Speaker 9: four foot shelf across. I'm like, this is going to work.
- 10:32Speaker 9: I was going to go for it. The boyfriend's like,
- 10:34Speaker 9: we can put a six foot shelf in there.
- 10:35Speaker 5: I'm like, yes, hell yeah.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Well, the main problem was we got to Menards.
- 10:40Speaker 5: Menards. Worst name ever, we decided.
- 10:43Speaker 1: Great name for a store.
- 10:44Speaker 12: Terrible.
- 10:45Speaker 9: Get off Menards.
- 10:47Speaker 1: We got there, and they were all out of four-foot boards.
- 10:51Speaker 1: Even though they said online that they had them, they
- 10:54Speaker 1: had one.
- 10:55Speaker 5: That just means you're going to have to do bigger shit.
- 10:58Speaker 9: Hell yeah, they're going to be fucking... 81 inches tall.
- 11:03Speaker 5: Six foot.
- 11:04Speaker 9: And this is the third. This is the third set.
- 11:05Speaker 9: And this is going to be the smallest set.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Yeah, this is the smallest one. The biggest one I've
- 11:11Speaker 1: built goes across the entire back wall.
- 11:13Speaker 9: Is it eight foot? It looks more than eight foot.
- 11:16Speaker 10: Is it?
- 11:16Speaker 1: It may be ten foot.
- 11:17Speaker 9: I don't remember.
- 11:18Speaker 5: I've only... I've tried to sell you on this for
- 11:21Speaker 5: many years, actually. So now... Nine foot. Now that you're
- 11:23Speaker 5: building the room, I'm just... One more time. I'm going
- 11:25Speaker 5: to hit it. You need a card catalog. That's all
- 11:29Speaker 5: I'm saying. And what's sad is I shop them all
- 11:32Speaker 5: the time. I see them and I'm like, I don't
- 11:34Speaker 5: even have a real use for them, but I'm like, man,
- 11:36Speaker 5: those are awesome. There was one the other day and
- 11:38Speaker 5: it was huge. You couldn't afford that one. But I've
- 11:41Speaker 5: seen another one that was sort of doable.
- 11:43Speaker 9: To imply that I need a card catalog would be
- 11:46Speaker 9: also to imply that I don't know my shit.
- 11:48Speaker 5: But it doesn't matter.
- 11:49Speaker 9: I don't know where my books are.
- 11:50Speaker 13: It's aesthetic.
- 11:51Speaker 5: You're supposed to walk in there and be like.
- 11:52Speaker 4: Ah, cards.
- 11:52Speaker 9: Nobody goes in there but me.
- 11:54Speaker 5: And more importantly, you're not actually going to put cards
- 11:56Speaker 5: in there. You can just store lots and lots of
- 11:57Speaker 5: crap in those tiny little drawers.
- 11:58Speaker 9: But if I had that there, that would take up space.
- 12:00Speaker 9: It's already going to have a bookshelf in it. So
- 12:02Speaker 9: I'm kind of productive. If I have more shelf, more books. Yeah.
- 12:06Speaker 11: But.
- 12:07Speaker 1: There's very... There's almost hardly no open wall space. It's
- 12:12Speaker 1: all covered by bookshelves.
- 12:13Speaker 5: I assume, but I just.
- 12:14Speaker 1: One window is even covered by bookshelves.
- 12:16Speaker 5: Anytime I can have a ridiculous thing that doesn't belong
- 12:19Speaker 5: in a normal person's house. As I've stated earlier, as
- 12:22Speaker 5: I was recently moving my giant place trays here trash can.
- 12:29Speaker 10: You remember that?
- 12:30Speaker 9: Yeah, I remember that.
- 12:31Speaker 5: It's been stored away and I was like, I wonder
- 12:33Speaker 5: if I'll ever get a chance. And then I moved
- 12:35Speaker 5: this time and I was like, there's a hole right
- 12:37Speaker 5: there and I need a Holy shit, I can get...
- 12:41Speaker 5: So I pulled that thing out of storage. Got it
- 12:43Speaker 5: in a mall or something? It's a full-size... Used to
- 12:46Speaker 5: be a trash can. I just use it as a
- 12:48Speaker 5: cabinet now, but it has the swinging door that says,
- 12:50Speaker 5: thank you, and it has a place on top to
- 12:53Speaker 5: put your trays, and it doesn't belong in a person's home,
- 12:56Speaker 5: and that's why I want it in my home, damn it.
- 12:58Speaker 5: And same thing, card catalogs. Any other random thing... Literally.
- 13:02Speaker 5: As I said, I'm trying to find a place for
- 13:04Speaker 5: my magazine rack. Normal people don't have their own magazine
- 13:08Speaker 5: rack in their home, but... feel like i need that and.
- 13:11Speaker 1: I most people most people don't have a gynecologist table
- 13:14Speaker 1: in their room.
- 13:14Speaker 9: Either are you looking at me you know who i'm
- 13:18Speaker 9: talking about right yeah pete you looked at me like
- 13:21Speaker 9: i'd like i don't.
- 13:22Speaker 5: Know i was just like wait have i not been
- 13:23Speaker 5: to this room is this a special room.
- 13:26Speaker 9: That's the that's the back room remember how disappointed he
- 13:29Speaker 9: was when we didn't call him soon enough for him
- 13:30Speaker 9: to get the one from the goodwill i'm like yes
- 13:32Speaker 9: he was pissed Do you really want a gynecologist table
- 13:36Speaker 9: from the Goodwill?
- 13:38Speaker 5: I mean, you just 409 it. You'll be fine. So.
- 13:43Speaker 9: Should we talk about the movies.
- 13:44Speaker 5: We watched first? All that geekery aside.
- 13:46Speaker 9: Or should we talk about what we did that's kind
- 13:48Speaker 9: of geek related, although we didn't go because of the
- 13:50Speaker 9: movie that was filmed there?
- 13:52Speaker 5: I'm confused already.
- 13:53Speaker 9: Should we discuss the activity that we did or the
- 13:55Speaker 9: movies that we watched? What do you want to talk
- 13:57Speaker 9: about first?
- 13:58Speaker 5: What's the activity?
- 13:59Speaker 9: We went to Ohio State Reformatory.
- 14:03Speaker 5: All right. You've been to a lot of prisons. Eventually,
- 14:06Speaker 5: it's all going to come together and you're going to
- 14:07Speaker 5: get locked away.
- 14:08Speaker 9: We went to the Ohio State Penitentiary.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Reformatory.
- 14:12Speaker 9: Reformatory.
- 14:12Speaker 14: Sorry.
- 14:16Speaker 9: You've seen one of the movies there because you got
- 14:18Speaker 9: pretty excited. Yep. But it's where a lot of Shawshank
- 14:21Speaker 9: Redemption was filmed. So there's a lot of memorabilia slain about.
- 14:25Speaker 5: It's become a beloved classic.
- 14:27Speaker 1: Air Force One was shot there for the... Or they
- 14:30Speaker 1: used it for the Russian prison scenes.
- 14:32Speaker 9: Because we were walking through there and you're like, why
- 14:34Speaker 9: the fuck is there a job of Stalin and a
- 14:37Speaker 9: Lenin on the wall?
- 14:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:38Speaker 5: They just really like them guys.
- 14:41Speaker 1: And Tango and Cash was shot.
- 14:43Speaker 9: That was one.
- 14:43Speaker 13: You were like, I've seen that movie.
- 14:44Speaker 1: I was like, I've seen that movie.
- 14:45Speaker 5: Tango and Cash. Hell yeah. A classic in its own right.
- 14:50Speaker 9: Because I do. I love, I love like old, not
- 14:54Speaker 9: only abandoned air quotes. but places that are shut down
- 14:58Speaker 9: that you can go, like Waverly Hills or West Virginia
- 15:02Speaker 9: State Penitentiary or Eastern State Penitentiary. I love places that
- 15:05Speaker 9: are like old prisons or asylums or mental institutes or
- 15:08Speaker 9: any kind of.
- 15:09Speaker 1: Trans-Allegheny.
- 15:10Speaker 9: Yeah, the Trans-Allegheny. They're absolutely beautiful buildings and just the
- 15:14Speaker 9: sadness is so creepy and just so desolate. But the
- 15:17Speaker 9: fact that you're walking around and it's a There was
- 15:20Speaker 9: a lot of people there, which I don't even fucking understand.
- 15:21Speaker 9: I'm like, what the fuck are you people doing here?
- 15:23Speaker 9: Go somewhere else.
- 15:24Speaker 1: Bring little kids, too.
- 15:26Speaker 3: Little bitty babies.
- 15:26Speaker 5: One of these days, you're going to end up here.
- 15:28Speaker 9: But I mean, you walk around and it's like, did
- 15:30Speaker 9: you see the pictures that I posted online? I don't
- 15:31Speaker 9: think anybody fucking saw the pictures that I posted online.
- 15:33Speaker 9: I posted like 70 pictures and everybody's like, oh, that's
- 15:35Speaker 9: too many pictures. I'm not even going to look at that.
- 15:37Speaker 5: Also, Facebook is terrible.
- 15:39Speaker 9: Anyways, you look and you see all the paint coming down.
- 15:42Speaker 9: It's like big chunks of paint. And they're like, yeah,
- 15:45Speaker 9: they used this up until like 1990. And I'm like,
- 15:47Speaker 9: what are you even, how is that even possible? This
- 15:49Speaker 9: place is like falling apart. How are you using this?
- 15:51Speaker 5: Eh, it's a prison. They weren't real concerned about those guys.
- 15:54Speaker 9: And a lot of it's lead paint too. Of course.
- 15:56Speaker 5: And those guys were eating it right and left.
- 15:58Speaker 9: No doubt. But yeah, I absolutely love stuff like that.
- 16:02Speaker 9: But we went there. I mean, look at this shit.
- 16:08Speaker 5: Yep, that looks like where you'd film a horrible prison scene.
- 16:12Speaker 5: That's like, it's a prison in hell.
- 16:15Speaker 1: Wait, hold on.
- 16:17Speaker 9: Oh, I was terrified at one point. Usually I'm not
- 16:19Speaker 9: too afraid of heights. I'm sort of. But like, you
- 16:24Speaker 9: get up there and it's like, you're on like, is
- 16:27Speaker 9: it five stories?
- 16:29Speaker 1: Six.
- 16:30Speaker 9: Yeah, six stories. And it's all like, you walk in
- 16:33Speaker 9: and it's just like, you can look straight down and
- 16:35Speaker 9: you're like, oh my damn, I'm gonna fucking die.
- 16:38Speaker 1: But it's all caged in.
- 16:39Speaker 9: Hmm.
- 16:41Speaker 5: I might be okay. It's not that crazy.
- 16:44Speaker 9: It was pretty damn crazy.
- 16:45Speaker 5: As long as I don't fall off the heights, I'm
- 16:46Speaker 5: usually okay with heights. I just don't need to fall off.
- 16:50Speaker 9: But look at all the paint coming off the ceiling
- 16:52Speaker 9: and everything.
- 16:53Speaker 5: Did you eat some of it?
- 16:54Speaker 9: It was absolutely beautiful. I love stuff like this.
- 16:57Speaker 1: She got in a hole.
- 16:59Speaker 9: I did get in a hole.
- 17:00Speaker 5: It does not surprise me you got put in a hole.
- 17:02Speaker 5: You were probably starting trouble.
- 17:03Speaker 9: I put myself in a hole. The freedom that you
- 17:07Speaker 9: have on this tour is kind of crazy.
- 17:10Speaker 5: Do they lose a couple every tour?
- 17:12Speaker 9: We didn't have a tour. They're just like, all right,
- 17:16Speaker 9: you paid.
- 17:16Speaker 5: Have fun now.
- 17:18Speaker 9: It pretty much, I mean, there's some places that are
- 17:19Speaker 9: like roped off. But anything else, if it didn't say
- 17:22Speaker 9: don't go there, I'm like, I'm going there.
- 17:24Speaker 5: Don't turn on the electric chair now.
- 17:25Speaker 9: Because I mean, a lot of stuff I'm like, I
- 17:28Speaker 9: don't see anybody that says not to go here. I'm
- 17:30Speaker 9: going to go here. So we ended up in like
- 17:31Speaker 9: the showers and everything.
- 17:33Speaker 5: Yeah, you're going to get shivved.
- 17:35Speaker 9: But I mean, I guess somebody eventually, somebody came behind us.
- 17:39Speaker 5: That's how it happened.
- 17:40Speaker 1: Somebody else came up through there. There was that and
- 17:42Speaker 1: then there was the upstairs chapel that we went through.
- 17:44Speaker 9: That was pretty amazing.
- 17:46Speaker 1: That was just kind of like you didn't know where
- 17:48Speaker 1: you were going. There was a freight elevator and all
- 17:50Speaker 1: of a sudden there was an upstairs chapel.
- 17:51Speaker 5: It's like weird.
- 17:53Speaker 9: Because it was also where they film or they reproduce
- 17:56Speaker 9: the paintings from one of the movies there.
- 17:59Speaker 1: Something.
- 18:00Speaker 9: I don't know. It was really creepy and it was
- 18:02Speaker 9: really cool. And like I said, if there wasn't anything
- 18:07Speaker 9: telling you not to go there, I was there. I'm like,
- 18:08Speaker 9: I want to go in the cell. You know, there
- 18:10Speaker 9: was this one cell where like.
- 18:11Speaker 5: Did you lock yourself in there?
- 18:13Speaker 9: No, I didn't try to. But there was this one
- 18:15Speaker 9: cell that apparently a guy... He was sentenced, but apparently
- 18:20Speaker 9: he didn't want to do his sentence, so he decided
- 18:22Speaker 9: that the best alternative was to set himself on fire. Sure.
- 18:25Speaker 9: Like pour gasoline on himself?
- 18:26Speaker 5: Was he trying to kill some weeds in his yard?
- 18:28Speaker 9: Maybe possibly.
- 18:29Speaker 5: It might have just been that.
- 18:30Speaker 9: But I'm just like, dude, you fucking poured gas on your...
- 18:34Speaker 9: How do you get gas in prison?
- 18:35Speaker 1: Oh, it was lighter fluid.
- 18:37Speaker 9: Lighter fluid?
- 18:37Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 18:38Speaker 9: Anyways, lit his ass on fire. You can just walk
- 18:42Speaker 9: right in there. Because I was trying.
- 18:45Speaker 5: To get out of the way. Is it still charred?
- 18:46Speaker 9: No.
- 18:47Speaker 1: No, they were saying, like, well, it was still burnt
- 18:49Speaker 1: on the inside.
- 18:50Speaker 5: Oh, was it?
- 18:50Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 18:50Speaker 11: Nice.
- 18:51Speaker 1: But they were saying that, like, and it was, was
- 18:54Speaker 1: it cell 13?
- 18:54Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 18:55Speaker 1: It was cell 13.
- 18:56Speaker 9: Which there are probably, yeah, a couple cell 13s, but.
- 18:59Speaker 1: Well, there were two cell 13s.
- 19:00Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 19:03Speaker 1: But, yeah, they were saying that, like, weird things happen
- 19:06Speaker 1: in there, you know, all these ghostly things and woo,
- 19:10Speaker 1: you know, and I told her, I was like, do
- 19:12Speaker 1: you feel anything?
- 19:13Speaker 9: She's like, no. Yeah. I felt annoyance that the couple
- 19:16Speaker 9: behind us wouldn't go around me.
- 19:17Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 19:18Speaker 5: That's most places you go.
- 19:19Speaker 9: Yeah. I'm like, just go ahead and go around me.
- 19:21Speaker 9: I'm still there. Like, no, it's okay. I'm like, oh
- 19:23Speaker 9: my fucking God. Then I feel like pressure. I feel stressed.
- 19:25Speaker 9: I feel, I feel rushed. I'm just like, just go
- 19:27Speaker 9: around me.
- 19:28Speaker 5: And you shipped them.
- 19:29Speaker 9: Anyway, so yeah, there were several movies, like several TV
- 19:31Speaker 9: shows have been filmed there. They've done like a lot
- 19:33Speaker 9: of like the Ghost Hunters and all that stuff. All
- 19:35Speaker 9: those places have filmed there. I love shit like that.
- 19:39Speaker 9: And then we went by the, was it the Bissman Hotel?
- 19:42Speaker 9: I guess the outside shots for where he was staying
- 19:46Speaker 9: when he wasn't in prison, I guess. wait which and
- 19:50Speaker 9: uh his apartment because i mean his actual apartment is
- 19:54Speaker 9: in the prison set up but they they out these
- 19:57Speaker 9: the outside of the i think the bisman hotel yeah
- 20:01Speaker 9: The Bisman building for the hotel. So we went there
- 20:04Speaker 9: just to see the building and of course it's beautiful.
- 20:08Speaker 9: It's a beautiful little town. Mansfield, Ohio. Absolutely adorable.
- 20:12Speaker 5: That looks very nice.
- 20:14Speaker 1: Yeah, their downtown center is really nice. I kind of
- 20:16Speaker 1: wish we would have had more time to drive around.
- 20:18Speaker 9: We spent so much time at the prison. We were
- 20:21Speaker 9: there until closing.
- 20:22Speaker 1: They were basically kicking us out at that point.
- 20:24Speaker 9: Yeah, pretty much. After I got my pennies, I was
- 20:26Speaker 9: all set.
- 20:27Speaker 1: Then we sit around trying to take a picture of
- 20:30Speaker 1: the front of it while some Idiot. Pulled right. If
- 20:34Speaker 1: you see somebody trying to take a picture of the
- 20:36Speaker 1: entire building and there's nobody there because it's like closing time.
- 20:41Speaker 9: Don't be that asshole.
- 20:42Speaker 1: Don't be the asshole that pulls right in front of
- 20:44Speaker 1: the building. Gets out and looks around and goes, hey,
- 20:47Speaker 1: look at this. And then walks around and take pictures.
- 20:50Speaker 9: With your flip phone.
- 20:51Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 20:51Speaker 5: Oh, God.
- 20:52Speaker 9: With your flip phone.
- 20:53Speaker 5: What year did he come here from? No doubt. Yikes.
- 20:56Speaker 9: Anyway, that's what we did that was movie related, although
- 20:58Speaker 9: I haven't seen any of the movies that have been
- 20:59Speaker 9: filmed there. I saw one. You saw one.
- 21:02Speaker 5: Well, we'll make you a list and we'll start Shawshank
- 21:04Speaker 5: it up.
- 21:05Speaker 9: And I won't watch any of those movies either. Cause
- 21:07Speaker 9: I just, again, it still holds up. But yeah, it
- 21:12Speaker 9: was just, like I said, just the actual building is
- 21:14Speaker 9: just so it's so creepily beautiful.
- 21:17Speaker 5: I love it. I can, I'm not even going to
- 21:21Speaker 5: go into a movie I saw. I've already discussed it
- 21:24Speaker 5: with the person who made the movie, but I did
- 21:26Speaker 5: want to tell you about part of it because like
- 21:29Speaker 5: I'm thinking as I'm watching it, I'm going to have
- 21:32Speaker 5: to do like the whole time. I'm like, Ooh, I'm
- 21:34Speaker 5: going to have to tell you about this. I'm going
- 21:35Speaker 5: to have to tell you about this. So you'll, you'll
- 21:37Speaker 5: both be interested that, um, the, the movie that we recently, um,
- 21:41Speaker 5: had the director on, I went to the like movie
- 21:44Speaker 5: premiere thing that they did here in town for the festival. Um,
- 21:47Speaker 5: it's called better start running. And again, I will leave
- 21:51Speaker 5: it up to you guys, but I, I'm trying to
- 21:53Speaker 5: decide you guys at home, go watch it. I'm saying for,
- 21:57Speaker 5: for you to sitting here, I want to see what
- 22:00Speaker 5: your take on a specific scenario is that came about
- 22:03Speaker 5: in this. Number one, this is the part I think,
- 22:06Speaker 5: you know, no question what you'll think. They shot it
- 22:08Speaker 5: in Cave City, or a good portion of it. A
- 22:11Speaker 5: lot of it was shot in Louisville.
- 22:12Speaker 9: Don't even get me fucking started on that guy.
- 22:14Speaker 5: No, I'm not even going into that. It's Cave City.
- 22:16Speaker 5: So it's like they shot it in Cave City.
- 22:18Speaker 9: Charlie.
- 22:19Speaker 5: So there's times when they're like standing and there's like
- 22:23Speaker 5: behind that painted wall that says like Guntown Mountain or
- 22:26Speaker 5: something like has some cowboy on it. So there's a
- 22:28Speaker 5: I'm sitting there like, ooh, I know that. And then
- 22:30Speaker 5: at one point, there is a scene where they're on
- 22:33Speaker 5: the janky trip upside the mountain.
- 22:35Speaker 9: No.
- 22:36Speaker 5: They're on that in the movie. No. There's dialogue being
- 22:39Speaker 5: given in the middle of the ride up the mountain.
- 22:42Speaker 5: They're like, I've been on that. The ride of death.
- 22:44Speaker 5: I almost died on that.
- 22:45Speaker 1: The ski lift?
- 22:46Speaker 9: That thing was fucking terrifying.
- 22:48Speaker 1: When was this movie shot?
- 22:49Speaker 5: I don't know. I think technically they started doing stuff
- 22:52Speaker 5: like two years ago.
- 22:54Speaker 9: That's been gone for a while. And then they get
- 22:56Speaker 9: torn down or are they redoing it? I don't know.
- 22:58Speaker 1: Cause like last time I had heard that the ski
- 23:01Speaker 1: lift was inoperable.
- 23:02Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 23:03Speaker 5: Unless they're, unless they did something just to use it
- 23:06Speaker 5: or something. But it is, it is interesting that, yeah,
- 23:09Speaker 5: all this stuff, like it's rare that I sit and
- 23:11Speaker 5: watch a movie and go, I've been there. I've done that.
- 23:13Speaker 5: I've done that. Like so much of the stuff that
- 23:15Speaker 5: I was just like, Oh yeah, there, I know that place. Like,
- 23:18Speaker 5: so yeah, there's, There's shots of like, you know, dinosaur
- 23:21Speaker 5: world and like there's like all these shots. Here's the
- 23:24Speaker 5: part I'm interested in your take and or I was
- 23:27Speaker 5: thinking about it while I'm watching the movie. The whole
- 23:33Speaker 5: thing is a road trip movie, which they shot in
- 23:37Speaker 5: a town and a smaller town outside of a town.
- 23:41Speaker 5: So everything is them driving across country more or less,
- 23:44Speaker 5: but the visuals are mostly right next to each other.
- 23:49Speaker 9: It's not really a road trip.
- 23:51Speaker 5: Well, but within the story, they go across country more
- 23:55Speaker 5: or less. So you're seeing stuff. So they did go
- 23:57Speaker 5: on like a side thing for a couple of days
- 23:59Speaker 5: and shoot like they've got car hinge or whatever, like
- 24:01Speaker 5: way out in there and a bunch of cars and
- 24:03Speaker 5: like a bunch of other stuff that isn't from here
- 24:05Speaker 5: that gets like spliced in. So they're like, here we
- 24:08Speaker 5: are at Dinosaur World. Then it's like a minute and
- 24:10Speaker 5: a half later in this montage, they're like in the
- 24:13Speaker 5: desert somewhere. And then like a minute later, they're leaning
- 24:15Speaker 5: up against Gun Down Mountain.
- 24:17Speaker 10: I'm like.
- 24:17Speaker 9: This is not an order whatsoever.
- 24:19Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 24:20Speaker 5: I'm like, I'm watching it going, oh, this is just
- 24:22Speaker 5: going to annoy the piss out of Misty.
- 24:24Speaker 9: That is not how the country works. Unless they have
- 24:26Speaker 9: like a time machine that can zip them back and
- 24:27Speaker 9: forth in a time warp. That's not continental continuity. Fucking
- 24:33Speaker 9: say that 10 times fast.
- 24:35Speaker 5: So everyone else at home, go watch it, but you
- 24:38Speaker 5: might make your head explode.
- 24:39Speaker 9: I don't think I'm, I'm not ready for that commitment, but.
- 24:42Speaker 5: It's, uh, yeah, I, that's what I was like as
- 24:44Speaker 5: I'm watching, I'm going, this is cool. Oh, this is
- 24:47Speaker 5: going to piss Misty off.
- 24:49Speaker 9: Why didn't they just stick to the order of things going?
- 24:52Speaker 5: But they were going across country. And that's what I
- 24:55Speaker 5: said to them. I was like, it is kind of
- 24:56Speaker 5: interesting that you can piece together something. And as long
- 25:00Speaker 5: as everyone else in the world isn't from here, they
- 25:02Speaker 5: don't know any better. I know better. If you watch
- 25:05Speaker 5: it and you're not from here, you'll be like, oh,
- 25:08Speaker 5: those are cool places. I wonder where those are. And
- 25:10Speaker 5: 75% of them are in the same little area.
- 25:13Speaker 9: Did they go to the teepees?
- 25:15Speaker 5: Yeah, the characters stay in the teepee. Actually, the actors,
- 25:18Speaker 5: he said, stay in the teepee. So at some point,
- 25:21Speaker 5: Jeremy Irons was sleeping in one of those teepees. I
- 25:24Speaker 5: likes me some Jeremy Irons. He's a cool dude.
- 25:27Speaker 9: He's pretty hot for an old guy.
- 25:28Speaker 5: And he was hanging around here two years or so ago.
- 25:30Speaker 5: I missed it. And from the way he described him,
- 25:33Speaker 5: kind of like a pirate.
- 25:36Speaker 9: I would not be surprised. You like Jeremy Irons.
- 25:39Speaker 5: But like a cool laid back, relaxed pirate. You definitely
- 25:43Speaker 5: like him. He's a cool dude.
- 25:45Speaker 1: What's he in that I like him in?
- 25:46Speaker 9: Die Hard 2 or 3.
- 25:49Speaker 5: With a Vengeance. That would be furry.
- 25:51Speaker 9: He's never seen that one.
- 25:54Speaker 5: You should because it's awesome. I was a sucker for
- 25:56Speaker 5: that one anyway.
- 25:57Speaker 1: Why did you say I liked him in that movie
- 25:58Speaker 1: if I haven't seen that movie?
- 25:59Speaker 9: Because he's a badass in that movie.
- 26:01Speaker 5: He is really cool. Again, it's such not what I
- 26:04Speaker 5: would expect out of him. Every time I think that
- 26:07Speaker 5: about him in something, he kind of steps up. I'm like, no,
- 26:10Speaker 5: he doesn't. He pulled that off, too.
- 26:11Speaker 9: Yeah, I can't think of anything you might have actually
- 26:13Speaker 9: seen Jeremy Irons in, but I think you would like him.
- 26:15Speaker 5: This one, yeah. This movie, he's a crazy old Vietnam vet.
- 26:18Speaker 9: You know who he is.
- 26:19Speaker 1: I know who Jeremy Irons is.
- 26:20Speaker 7: Okay.
- 26:20Speaker 9: You like him?
- 26:22Speaker 5: I guess he's okay.
- 26:23Speaker 9: You can't not like Jeremy Irons.
- 26:25Speaker 1: Well, if I don't know what he's done, I can't
- 26:27Speaker 1: like him.
- 26:28Speaker 5: Well, he hung around Dinosaur World, so we got that
- 26:30Speaker 5: going for him.
- 26:31Speaker 13: Okay.
- 26:31Speaker 11: Whatever.
- 26:32Speaker 5: Anyway, that was my only take. I'm not going into
- 26:35Speaker 5: the movie.
- 26:35Speaker 9: I watched that.
- 26:36Speaker 5: I just thought it was funny. In the movie, I
- 26:38Speaker 5: was thinking, that's gone. Where the hell out of Misty?
- 26:40Speaker 9: I watched the movie that annoyed the hell out of me,
- 26:42Speaker 9: and I didn't like it one bit.
- 26:43Speaker 5: I'm not surprised either, but go ahead.
- 26:44Speaker 9: You watched half of this. You sort of watched this
- 26:46Speaker 9: movie with me, and you equally bitched about how it
- 26:48Speaker 9: went absolutely fucking nowhere.
- 26:49Speaker 1: Which movie was this?
- 26:50Speaker 5: Hold on. If I can get it right.
- 26:52Speaker 9: I keep wanting to switch it around. Lake Mungo. Words
- 26:58Speaker 9: cannot describe how fucking boring this movie was. It's set up.
- 27:02Speaker 5: Is this found footage-y?
- 27:04Speaker 9: Yes.
- 27:05Speaker 5: Okay, I think I've heard about this several times.
- 27:07Speaker 9: It's not really found footage so much as documentary.
- 27:09Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that movie was stupid.
- 27:11Speaker 9: Maybe it's because I've watched so much Forensic Files and
- 27:15Speaker 9: ID Channel that there's usually some kind of payoff. There's
- 27:17Speaker 9: no fucking payoff at the end of this movie.
- 27:19Speaker 5: I think I remember people going on and on about
- 27:21Speaker 5: this when it first came out.
- 27:22Speaker 9: It's set up like at the very beginning they're like, yeah,
- 27:25Speaker 9: this girl died in the lake and this is her
- 27:27Speaker 9: family trying to deal with it and Which I should
- 27:30Speaker 9: have known was just going to be bullshit from the beginning.
- 27:32Speaker 9: And then they keep trying to build and build and build.
- 27:35Speaker 9: Like something's going to fucking happen. And spoiler alert, the
- 27:38Speaker 9: biggest thing that happened, she is sleeping with the neighbors.
- 27:42Speaker 5: Gasp.
- 27:43Speaker 9: And she might have saw a dead version of herself.
- 27:46Speaker 5: That's pretty cool.
- 27:47Speaker 9: She knew she was going to die.
- 27:49Speaker 13: The end.
- 27:49Speaker 9: And that's all there is to it. There's no big...
- 27:53Speaker 9: Because it keeps building. Something's going to happen. Something's going
- 27:56Speaker 9: to happen. Something's going to happen. Nothing fucking happened. Ever. Disappointing.
- 28:00Speaker 1: I was like, really? That was it?
- 28:02Speaker 5: That's the movie?
- 28:03Speaker 1: That's lame. All right.
- 28:06Speaker 5: Recommend on that one? No.
- 28:08Speaker 9: Do not recommend. Two thumbs down. If I had more thumbs,
- 28:10Speaker 9: I'd give it more thumbs down.
- 28:11Speaker 5: Nothing's happening here. Nothing's happening here. Nothing's happening here. The
- 28:30Speaker 5: same old message.
- 28:31Speaker 1: Going on for years. I read your writing and it disappears.
- 28:37Speaker 12: Uh, yes, sir.
- 28:39Speaker 13: May I help you?
- 28:40Speaker 9: Oh, I'd like two of those, please. Hot dogs? Yes, sir.
- 28:44Speaker 9: And three of those. And one of those. And five
- 28:48Speaker 9: bars of these. And a cup of that nice hot liquid.
- 28:52Speaker 10: Coffee?
- 28:53Speaker 9: Coming right up.
- 28:54Speaker 8: Oh, and two bags of those peculiar white coffee material.
- 28:58Speaker 9: You mean our crunchy popcorn.
- 29:02Speaker 10: Shall I wrap that for you, sir?
- 29:04Speaker 9: Oh, that's all right. My saucer's just outside.
- 29:08Speaker 10: They come from miles to enjoy our intermission.
- 29:18Speaker 7: Your coffee, sir.
- 29:20Speaker 9: Thanks, beautiful. You're welcome.
- 29:22Speaker 5: We should have our coffee. I know you like coffee.
- 29:29Speaker 13: Oh my god, is this a segue to something?
- 29:31Speaker 9: What?
- 29:32Speaker 5: You don't want to run out to Heine Brothers right now?
- 29:35Speaker 13: Actually, you know, now that you mention it, I'm drinking
- 29:37Speaker 13: some fine coffee here, but I feel like... enjoying a
- 29:40Speaker 13: nice hot cup from my local Heine Brothers might actually
- 29:43Speaker 13: be an even better idea.
- 29:44Speaker 5: Well, really, you don't even have to leave the house. Like,
- 29:47Speaker 5: you could just have it, like, ordered right to your doorstep.

- 30:07Speaker 9: There.
- 30:07Speaker 3: Right there.
- 30:08Speaker 13: Yeah, you heard it. And then let's run out, jump
- 30:12Speaker 13: in the car, and then screech sound effect as we
- 30:14Speaker 13: head on down to our local Heine Brothers.
- 30:17Speaker 5: There.

- 31:18Speaker 10: For every heart, there exists a wish.
- 31:22Speaker 2: You ever play the numbers, Mr.
- 31:23Speaker 11: Holliday?
- 31:24Speaker 9: No.
- 31:25Speaker 10: And to take risks.
- 31:30Speaker 2: For every soul, there burns a desire.
- 31:34Speaker 10: Boy, here's up.
- 31:36Speaker 12: Always was.
- 31:38Speaker 5: Smells to me like we're going to have visitors.
- 31:41Speaker 12: But never whisper your dreams, for someone might be listening.
- 31:50Speaker 1: Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.
- 31:52Speaker 5: Ha, ha, ha.
- 31:55Speaker 12: And for every wish, there will be a price. For
- 32:12Speaker 12: every desire, there will be a cost.
- 32:20Speaker 2: Ray Bradbury's fantasy tale of light and darkness is getting closer.
- 32:28Speaker 2: Something wicked this way comes.
- 32:41Speaker 5: Yes, I'm Ray Wise, and you are listening to Movie Meltdown.
- 32:46Speaker 1: And you'd better listen.
- 32:49Speaker 15: Maisie Dokes and Dozie Dokes and little Amzie Divey, a
- 32:53Speaker 15: kiddie divey too, wouldn't you? Yes, Maisie Dokes and Dozie
- 32:58Speaker 15: Dokes and little Amzie Divey, a kiddie divey too, wouldn't you?
- 33:03Speaker 10: That's part of your problem, you know, you haven't seen
- 33:09Speaker 10: enough movies.
- 33:09Speaker 13: All of life's riddles are.
- 33:11Speaker 2: Answered in the movies.
- 33:13Speaker 9: And now, on with the show.
- 33:18Speaker 11: Fate may take you away from me But it can't
- 33:21Speaker 11: take our memory Of special times when we cared Special
- 33:27Speaker 11: times that we shared For you are everything.
- 33:35Speaker 8: To me Lisa Marie Honey, I know.
- 33:57Speaker 9: I did watch another movie. It started off really slow.
- 33:59Speaker 9: And I'm like, oh, this is going to be another
- 34:00Speaker 9: one of those movies. And then like, say maybe 15,
- 34:04Speaker 9: 20 minutes. And I'm like, you know what? I can't stop.
- 34:07Speaker 9: I have to keep watching this. It pulled me in
- 34:09Speaker 9: and it wouldn't let me go. We are still here.
- 34:14Speaker 5: Trying to remember.
- 34:14Speaker 9: It's got Barbara Compton. Is that her name? Barbara Compton.
- 34:18Speaker 9: She's like a big horror actress. Oh, yeah.
- 34:20Speaker 5: She's a horror actress. gal but i'm trying to remember
- 34:23Speaker 5: why i know the name.
- 34:26Speaker 9: I don't know why you know the name but it
- 34:27Speaker 9: also has the delightful and ever so stalkerish lisa marie
- 34:31Speaker 9: who is lord crazy and insane she's just crazy but.
- 34:36Speaker 5: Uh did she like stare at your purse through the
- 34:38Speaker 5: tv she.
- 34:39Speaker 9: Took pictures but anyways um yeah she was still eyeballing
- 34:43Speaker 9: your stuff she was it was very strange.
- 34:44Speaker 5: This is in the real world by the way but
- 34:46Speaker 5: uh yeah she's being very creepy in.
- 34:47Speaker 9: A picture of my purse And I was standing like
- 34:50Speaker 9: less than two feet from her and I'm just like,
- 34:52Speaker 9: did you just take a picture of my purse? And
- 34:54Speaker 9: she just had this very like, oh shit, I was caught.
- 34:56Speaker 5: She got busted.
- 34:57Speaker 9: Did you see the look on her face? She was
- 34:58Speaker 9: just like.
- 34:59Speaker 5: She looked like a little kid. Yeah.
- 35:02Speaker 9: I'm not going to lie, it was my Elvis purse.
- 35:04Speaker 9: So it was pretty fucking cool. But anyways, this movie
- 35:06Speaker 9: had a lot more going for it because it started
- 35:08Speaker 9: off with all those, it had kind of like a
- 35:09Speaker 9: 70s feel to it, which you know usually turns me right.
- 35:11Speaker 5: It's awesome.
- 35:12Speaker 9: Usually turns me straight the fuck off.
- 35:14Speaker 5: I think it's awesome.
- 35:14Speaker 1: Did I watch this movie too?
- 35:16Speaker 9: You watched part of it and then you wandered off.
- 35:18Speaker 1: Yeah, okay.
- 35:18Speaker 5: You're known to do that.
- 35:20Speaker 9: Yeah, you are. It's this couple that goes to a
- 35:23Speaker 9: house because their son apparently died in a car wreck.
- 35:26Speaker 9: So they want to get away and they move to
- 35:28Speaker 9: this little town, this big old creepy house. Good move. Yeah, right.
- 35:33Speaker 5: Have you not watched any horror movies ever? No doubt.
- 35:36Speaker 9: But I mean, it's still relatively new. It's not really
- 35:38Speaker 9: new news. It's been a couple years. So I'm not
- 35:39Speaker 9: going to totally spoil it, but apparently bad things happened
- 35:42Speaker 9: in this house and bad things start to happen even more.
- 35:44Speaker 9: And then You remember there was the blood scene and
- 35:47Speaker 9: there was blood every fucking where.
- 35:49Speaker 1: There's a lot of things that I see that's got
- 35:51Speaker 1: blood all over the place.
- 35:54Speaker 3: So I don't know.
- 35:58Speaker 9: It starts off with that really slow kind of melancholy
- 35:59Speaker 9: feel to it. Because like I said, their son died.
- 36:02Speaker 9: But then they get to this house and there's something there.
- 36:06Speaker 9: And for the longest time she thinks it's her son.
- 36:08Speaker 9: Like that he's there.
- 36:09Speaker 5: Presence of her son.
- 36:12Speaker 9: And then you get more and more and like the
- 36:14Speaker 9: whole town just acts really weird. And, it's just, it
- 36:19Speaker 9: just builds, and you're like, is it really her son?
- 36:21Speaker 9: Because then her friend, Lisa Marie, shows up, and of
- 36:25Speaker 9: course she's like, there is something here, and it ain't
- 36:27Speaker 9: your son. So, then next thing you know, everybody's just,
- 36:30Speaker 9: there's blood, and then there's just, there's ashy people, and
- 36:34Speaker 9: it's just, it's a great, I'm not lying, this is
- 36:36Speaker 9: a good movie. It's good. I would, I would actually,
- 36:40Speaker 9: at least a thumb and a quarter up. Maybe two thumbs.
- 36:44Speaker 5: I'm more distracted now trying to decide if, like, do
- 36:47Speaker 5: you think she was taking that shot for, like, research
- 36:49Speaker 5: purposes so she could track down one of those? Because
- 36:51Speaker 5: now I want to see her, like, on a red
- 36:52Speaker 5: carpet carrying your purse that she, like, scoped out.
- 36:56Speaker 9: Not only the purse, but the attached watermelon keychain.
- 36:59Speaker 5: Well, I'm sure she would totally have that.
- 37:02Speaker 9: Sad watermelon. It's crying. Good times.
- 37:06Speaker 5: I can kind of see her doing that.
- 37:08Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 37:08Speaker 5: So let's start combing the internet for weird shots of
- 37:11Speaker 5: her out on the street in red carpet. That's every picture.
- 37:14Speaker 5: Sooner or later, I bet we'll be like, aha!
- 37:16Speaker 9: Who the fuck would leave Lisa Marie for fucking Helena Bonham?
- 37:21Speaker 1: I don't get that. I think Lisa Marie is beautiful.
- 37:24Speaker 9: She is. She still looks fucking good.
- 37:26Speaker 1: She's fucking cool as shit.
- 37:27Speaker 9: I mean, we've seen her at conventions even recently. Didn't
- 37:30Speaker 9: we see her, like, was she at Fright Night? Not
- 37:32Speaker 9: Fright Night.
- 37:33Speaker 13: No.
- 37:34Speaker 5: We go to too many conventions is.
- 37:36Speaker 9: What you're saying. Days of the Dead. Was it Days
- 37:38Speaker 9: of the Dead?
- 37:38Speaker 1: Fright Film Night of the Days Dead.
- 37:41Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 37:42Speaker 9: It was at one of the conventions, like, within the
- 37:44Speaker 9: past year and a half, two years.
- 37:45Speaker 1: She's gorgeous.
- 37:47Speaker 9: She still looks fucking amazing. And even in this movie,
- 37:49Speaker 9: I'm like, she's beautiful, and she's always been beautiful. But
- 37:54Speaker 9: Helena Bonham Carter's just a fucking train wreck.
- 37:57Speaker 5: Was even back then. Now she's just an old train wreck.
- 37:59Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 38:01Speaker 9: Are they still together, Tim Burton and her? I thought
- 38:03Speaker 9: they split.
- 38:04Speaker 5: Last I heard. Well, I mean, they had one of those.
- 38:05Speaker 9: They had another marriage to go wreck.
- 38:07Speaker 5: They had one of those relationships where it's like, let's
- 38:09Speaker 5: get houses across the street from each other and live
- 38:13Speaker 5: in our own houses. I mean, that's why they were together.
- 38:17Speaker 5: I'm pretty sure that was going on. So, again, when
- 38:20Speaker 5: they split up, I'm like, do you even notice?
- 38:23Speaker 1: Like, I don't know.
- 38:24Speaker 5: I'm speculating. I don't really know what the hell was
- 38:25Speaker 5: going on in the relationship. But I'd heard that before
- 38:28Speaker 5: they got broke up, they bought houses, like, next to
- 38:32Speaker 5: each other and each lived in their own. I'm like,
- 38:35Speaker 5: does that count as actually being in a relationship? You're
- 38:38Speaker 5: not really near each other and probably don't work together anymore.
- 38:43Speaker 5: Your neighbors, you know, I'll give you that.
- 38:45Speaker 9: It's just like having a really big house with, like,
- 38:46Speaker 9: outside hallways.
- 38:47Speaker 5: Yeah. I mean, I'd prefer that with most people, you know.
- 38:52Speaker 5: You go over there and live. We can visit sometimes.
- 38:55Speaker 1: Maybe.
- 38:55Speaker 5: Maybe.
- 38:56Speaker 9: I did watch one more movie.
- 38:57Speaker 5: All right.
- 38:58Speaker 9: You slept through this entire fucking movie.
- 39:01Speaker 5: She's talking to Jay. It could have just as easily
- 39:03Speaker 5: been me, but she's talking to Jay.
- 39:04Speaker 9: The entire fucking movie you slept through. Something Wicked This
- 39:09Speaker 9: Way Comes, which he doesn't even know because he slept
- 39:10Speaker 9: through it.
- 39:11Speaker 1: Did I fall asleep during the credits?
- 39:13Speaker 9: You fell asleep when it started.
- 39:15Speaker 5: You were asleep.
- 39:16Speaker 9: No, I started it after you were asleep. You woke
- 39:20Speaker 9: up for about three seconds in the middle of it.
- 39:22Speaker 9: See what was going on. I'm like, I started a
- 39:23Speaker 9: movie without you.
- 39:24Speaker 5: You're like, okay. Right back out. Sometimes you gotta go
- 39:29Speaker 5: to sleep.
- 39:30Speaker 1: I work a lot.
- 39:32Speaker 9: I had never seen this movie. It wasn't one that
- 39:34Speaker 9: I watched when I was a kid, surprisingly enough, because
- 39:36Speaker 9: this totally seems like a movie.
- 39:37Speaker 5: Yeah, it definitely is in that same time period when
- 39:39Speaker 5: you were attaching yourself to weird, twisted-ass movies that are
- 39:42Speaker 5: supposed to be for kids, but they're not for kids.
- 39:44Speaker 9: Lady in White.
- 39:45Speaker 5: Anyway.
- 39:46Speaker 9: This film is a lot more kid-friendly, although still kind
- 39:49Speaker 9: of dark and creepy.
- 39:50Speaker 5: Still dark and creepy.
- 39:52Speaker 9: Have you seen it recently?
- 39:53Speaker 5: I don't. It's another one of those I know of
- 39:56Speaker 5: it more than, because I think it's one of those
- 39:58Speaker 5: that's super weird and dark and creepy, but it is
- 40:00Speaker 5: full-fledged Disney. It was still when it was Disney produced.
- 40:04Speaker 5: It was before they even started banking side project, you know,
- 40:07Speaker 5: things to release their weirder, darker projects under. So, no,
- 40:11Speaker 5: I know it's a weird Disney movie. Isn't Jason Robards
- 40:14Speaker 5: in it?
- 40:14Speaker 12: Who?
- 40:16Speaker 3: Never mind.
- 40:16Speaker 9: I know fucking Pam Greer was in it.
- 40:21Speaker 5: Nice.
- 40:22Speaker 9: Fucking A, Pam Greer playing a ghost. I was like, what?
- 40:24Speaker 5: She's bad.
- 40:25Speaker 9: I was like, what the fuck is wrong?
- 40:26Speaker 5: She's a bad motherfucker. She's talking about Pam Greer.
- 40:30Speaker 9: I'm pretty sure it was Pam Greer. Let me double
- 40:32Speaker 9: check to make sure I'm not completely making shit up
- 40:33Speaker 9: because I do that sometimes.
- 40:37Speaker 1: While she's looking up stuff, I'll let everybody know that
- 40:39Speaker 1: I didn't watch Jack shit because I was too busy working.
- 40:43Speaker 5: Did you build some shelves?
- 40:45Speaker 1: I built a lot of bookshelves. That's my geeky activity
- 40:47Speaker 1: for the month.
- 40:49Speaker 5: Do you at least get to put anything on these shelves?
- 40:51Speaker 9: No.
- 40:51Speaker 5: No, I don't.
- 40:52Speaker 9: This is in my room.
- 40:53Speaker 5: You're getting scammed.
- 40:54Speaker 1: That's her room.
- 40:54Speaker 9: That's my room. Why did you take me to the
- 40:57Speaker 9: plot somewhere? I don't know.
- 40:58Speaker 1: I'm not really getting scammed. She's happy, so that's cool.
- 41:01Speaker 5: It gets her out of your way. Take your books
- 41:03Speaker 5: and get the hell out.
- 41:04Speaker 9: Of the way.
- 41:04Speaker 5: See, I was right. Jason Robards.
- 41:06Speaker 9: Diane Ladd.
- 41:07Speaker 5: See, that's the thing. I know more about movies I've
- 41:09Speaker 5: never seen than most people who've watched them. Yeah.
- 41:11Speaker 9: Pam Greer played the Dust Witch. Nice.
- 41:13Speaker 5: Nice.
- 41:14Speaker 9: Pretty damn hot damn i can't think of i don't
- 41:17Speaker 9: know any of these other people that were.
- 41:18Speaker 1: Married to the dirt devil maybe.
- 41:23Speaker 16: I did find my dirt devil by the way and
- 41:25Speaker 16: you gave it to me right oh wait no oh
- 41:27Speaker 16: fucker i need to post pictures i need a picture
- 41:29Speaker 16: of me holding it that we could probably arrange i
- 41:33Speaker 16: told her as we hung out with the devil himself
- 41:36Speaker 16: that i was pretty proud of the.
- 41:38Speaker 5: Fact that i have a Actual official Dirt Devil, but
- 41:41Speaker 5: it is one that they released as a promo for Reaper.
- 41:45Speaker 5: So it has the Reaper logo.
- 41:47Speaker 9: On the Dirt Devil. And we're adding that to the
- 41:49Speaker 9: list of shit that when you die, I get will.
- 41:51Speaker 5: I'm hoarding and taking away Egyptian mausoleum. Do you know
- 41:53Speaker 5: how much your fucking coffin is going? I'm getting a
- 41:55Speaker 5: whole mausoleum.
- 41:56Speaker 9: You can't afford like a cardboard box. How are you
- 41:59Speaker 9: going to end up with a mausoleum?
- 42:00Speaker 5: This close to Powerball. And as soon as I win it,
- 42:04Speaker 5: I'm buying my mausoleum so I can take all my
- 42:07Speaker 5: shit with me.
- 42:07Speaker 9: I like in the cast list, there is somebody who's
- 42:09Speaker 9: actually listed as the demon midget.
- 42:11Speaker 5: That's inappropriate.
- 42:13Speaker 9: He's uncredited in the movie, apparently, but he's a demon midget.
- 42:16Speaker 1: I can see Misty now. Jay, go pick that lock.
- 42:18Speaker 1: We've got to get his shit out of that mausoleum.
- 42:20Speaker 9: And you'd be like, okay.
- 42:23Speaker 1: I guess.
- 42:25Speaker 9: We're going to put more shit.
- 42:27Speaker 5: Attack robot dogs. You ain't got room for this shit.
- 42:31Speaker 9: But yeah, I was absolutely smitten with this movie because
- 42:34Speaker 9: I hate modern movies that have kids in it.
- 42:38Speaker 5: You just don't like kids.
- 42:40Speaker 9: I don't like kids. But if it's kid movies from
- 42:43Speaker 9: when I was like, if they were around the same
- 42:45Speaker 9: time when I was a kid or earlier, it's different.
- 42:47Speaker 5: This is weird, yeah. But I feel like a lot
- 42:49Speaker 5: of people probably have that same weird nostalgic thing and
- 42:53Speaker 5: are kind of unaware of it.
- 42:54Speaker 9: Like I will not watch Harry Potter.
- 42:57Speaker 5: But they're not even kids.
- 42:59Speaker 9: They are when it starts.
- 43:00Speaker 5: When it starts. But you get like a couple movies
- 43:02Speaker 5: in and then.
- 43:03Speaker 9: That's way too much commitment that I... That's way too
- 43:06Speaker 9: much kids.
- 43:07Speaker 1: I like Harry Potter.
- 43:08Speaker 9: And a ginger. Kids and a ginger.
- 43:10Speaker 1: There's nothing wrong with gingers.
- 43:13Speaker 9: Whatever.
- 43:13Speaker 5: Ron's fine, though. He's not annoying.
- 43:15Speaker 9: Anyways, because this movie... Like I said, it was... It
- 43:18Speaker 9: was like early 80s, late 70s. But it has that
- 43:21Speaker 9: same feel of a lot of the movies that I
- 43:23Speaker 9: watched as a kid. You could feel like it was
- 43:28Speaker 9: shot around the same time that Lady in White or
- 43:31Speaker 9: Watchers in the Woods. It has that same feel to
- 43:33Speaker 9: it because it is that old. I'm not going to lie,
- 43:38Speaker 9: Stranger Things was awesome, but it had a good feel
- 43:40Speaker 9: to it.
- 43:40Speaker 5: It was trying so hard to be those things.
- 43:43Speaker 9: But it still felt good. It didn't feel like bullshit. True.
- 43:47Speaker 5: Again, they did a great job mimicking that 80s feel.
- 43:51Speaker 5: More so than a lot of other people who are
- 43:53Speaker 5: very hacky kind of do that. They're not subtle, but yeah.
- 43:58Speaker 5: It's one of those that I've called enough for that before.
- 44:01Speaker 5: It's not even like they were nostalgic for their childhood.
- 44:04Speaker 5: They're freaking too young. They just grew up watching that stuff,
- 44:07Speaker 5: but they did a great job recreating it.
- 44:10Speaker 9: But anyways, anything else that's modern, I just can't really care.
- 44:15Speaker 9: But like I said, this one, it had that same
- 44:17Speaker 9: old feel to it, and it had stuff that was
- 44:18Speaker 9: just I mean, the visuals were, you know, fantastic. The
- 44:21Speaker 9: guy who played Mr. Dark. I can't even remember who
- 44:24Speaker 9: the fuck he was now. But, you know, Jonathan Pryce.
- 44:29Speaker 5: Ah, Jonathan Pryce.
- 44:30Speaker 9: He's a good dude. The look he had whenever this
- 44:33Speaker 9: movie came out was pretty... It was 83.
- 44:35Speaker 5: Yeah, I thought it was early 80s.
- 44:37Speaker 9: So, yeah, I was only three. But still, you know,
- 44:40Speaker 9: it still has that same feel as, like, a lot
- 44:43Speaker 9: of the shit that I watched when I was a kid.
- 44:45Speaker 9: So I, like I said, I got pulled in and
- 44:47Speaker 9: boyfriend snored and I kicked him.
- 44:49Speaker 5: It was an.
- 44:50Speaker 9: Ongoing ordeal and just like, by the time you get
- 44:52Speaker 9: to the end, the special effects.
- 44:55Speaker 5: It's 83, what do you want?
- 44:56Speaker 9: But it's still better than half the shit they pull
- 44:59Speaker 9: out today.
- 44:59Speaker 5: That's true, there's no CG, I bet.
- 45:01Speaker 9: No, I don't think there is. But, uh.
- 45:04Speaker 5: So, I recommend, if you like old timey kid movies.
- 45:09Speaker 9: That are really dark and creepy.
- 45:10Speaker 5: Again, it was kid movies in the 80s, so it
- 45:13Speaker 5: goes without saying, dark and creepy and twisted and super weird.
- 45:18Speaker 9: I think it's a thumbs up from me. I don't
- 45:21Speaker 9: think we watched any other movies, but we have been
- 45:23Speaker 9: watching a show that we're officially one disc into, so
- 45:26Speaker 9: I don't know if we should discuss half of it
- 45:28Speaker 9: or wait until we're done with it.
- 45:30Speaker 5: You tell me.
- 45:31Speaker 9: I will discuss it briefly. We have been watching Dead Last.
- 45:37Speaker 5: Do I know what this is? You do not.
- 45:39Speaker 9: We briefly teased it in the living room. It is
- 45:41Speaker 9: a show that had Tyler Labine in it in, I think, 2001. Oh, yeah.
- 45:45Speaker 5: You did say you were watching something with him lately.
- 45:48Speaker 9: It has Tyler Labine in the main. I don't know
- 45:50Speaker 9: if it's considered the main character. You would at least
- 45:52Speaker 9: recognize it. I'm like, where do I know this guy?
- 45:55Speaker 9: I know this guy from somewhere. It's Vampire Guy from iZombie.
- 46:02Speaker 5: Which vampire?
- 46:03Speaker 9: He works at the fucking police station. He wears the
- 46:05Speaker 9: dark hair. They play D & D together. And they
- 46:08Speaker 9: always refer to him as Vampire something.
- 46:11Speaker 1: Vampire Steve?
- 46:12Speaker 9: It's Vampire Steve.
- 46:13Speaker 1: I thought that's what you told me.
- 46:14Speaker 5: You may have to show me photos.
- 46:22Speaker 9: Vampire Steve. Vampire Steve. That guy.
- 46:27Speaker 5: Oh, Vampire Steve. Yeah, yeah. He looks kind of familiar.
- 46:31Speaker 9: Anyways, he plays the lead hunky.
- 46:36Speaker 5: Are you using quotes on that one? Yeah.
- 46:38Speaker 9: Because he plays, like, the popular. He's the lead singer
- 46:41Speaker 9: of the band. He's all, like, cool. Anyways. And some
- 46:45Speaker 9: chick who's not really relevant.
- 46:47Speaker 1: I mean, earlier, he totally looks like, when he's younger,
- 46:51Speaker 1: he looks like kind of a.
- 46:52Speaker 5: A douche who would be in the band?
- 46:55Speaker 1: Early, maybe, like a.
- 46:57Speaker 10: What do you think?
- 46:57Speaker 1: Like a Jared Leto?
- 46:58Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 47:01Speaker 1: What's the guy's name again?
- 47:02Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 47:03Speaker 9: I just thought Vampire Steve.
- 47:05Speaker 1: What's the name of the show again?
- 47:07Speaker 9: His name is Ket Turton.
- 47:10Speaker 5: I'm calling bullshit.
- 47:10Speaker 9: K-E-T-T.
- 47:12Speaker 11: No.
- 47:13Speaker 9: No. T-U-R-T-O-N.
- 47:15Speaker 10: No.
- 47:18Speaker 3: No.
- 47:19Speaker 1: He's American and Canadian.
- 47:22Speaker 9: That explains a lot. But anyways, my second favorite part
- 47:25Speaker 9: of the show is watching it and being like, trying
- 47:27Speaker 9: to figure out, where do I know this person from?
- 47:30Speaker 1: That's him from the show.
- 47:32Speaker 5: Yeah, he seems to think he's cool.
- 47:35Speaker 1: He fits in with that kind of 90s.
- 47:36Speaker 5: He definitely fits the vibe.
- 47:38Speaker 1: Wow.
- 47:39Speaker 9: Because like, we were watching, we've only got through one disc,
- 47:42Speaker 9: but they had the Vincent, creepy guy.
- 47:45Speaker 5: Did I not figure it out?
- 47:46Speaker 9: No, creepy guy. Vincent Chiavelli. Chiavelli? Chiavelli. You know that
- 47:55Speaker 9: creepy guy, he's known for being, he has the weird
- 47:57Speaker 9: eyes and they're kind of sunken and kind of droopy. Yeah.
- 48:00Speaker 5: Steve Buscemi?
- 48:01Speaker 9: No, the other creepy guy. Vincent Chevelle.
- 48:04Speaker 5: That name sounds familiar. Once again, when you show me
- 48:07Speaker 5: the picture, I'll probably know who you're talking about. It's
- 48:10Speaker 5: become that way with.
- 48:11Speaker 1: A lot of actors at this point.
- 48:12Speaker 5: I'm like, oh yeah, that guy. I don't know. There's
- 48:14Speaker 5: too many people. I can't remember.
- 48:16Speaker 1: The Maytag guy was on.
- 48:17Speaker 5: The one last night.
- 48:17Speaker 9: The Maytag guy. Fucking Colin Ferguson.
- 48:20Speaker 5: Not Gordon Jump.
- 48:21Speaker 1: Oh, Vincent Chevelle.
- 48:24Speaker 5: The guy from Ghost. Yeah.
- 48:26Speaker 9: As long as there's nothing ghost.
- 48:28Speaker 5: Again, he's the good part of that ghost. That and
- 48:31Speaker 5: the creepy demon things that take you down the hill.
- 48:34Speaker 5: That's awesome, but the whole rest of it is pretty
- 48:36Speaker 5: generic and crap.
- 48:40Speaker 1: They had a scene like that in Rick and Morty.
- 48:44Speaker 11: Yeah, they did.
- 48:44Speaker 1: Remember how they did that?
- 48:47Speaker 5: I watched some more of that lately. The one where
- 48:49Speaker 5: they make the solo side story to the planet of
- 48:56Speaker 5: rick and morty's where it's like after they've like destroyed
- 49:00Speaker 5: the whole rick council and like they go back and
- 49:03Speaker 5: like the whole thing is like three or four side
- 49:06Speaker 5: stories about those characters because rick and morty like take
- 49:09Speaker 5: off on a side adventure and we don't see the
- 49:11Speaker 5: real rick and morty the whole like i just sat
- 49:13Speaker 5: like that one is amazing like it's so much better
- 49:16Speaker 5: written than like legit tv shows that people actually like
- 49:20Speaker 5: give props to and care about and i'm just like
- 49:23Speaker 5: no no this is so much better written than all
- 49:26Speaker 5: of that and it's rick and morty and nobody cares
- 49:28Speaker 5: about it except the fanboys that you know actually do
- 49:31Speaker 5: like to commit their life to it but i was
- 49:33Speaker 5: just amazed at how good that.
- 49:35Speaker 9: Show is like it's just And on the opposite end
- 49:38Speaker 9: of the spectrum, we have Dead Last. All right.
- 49:41Speaker 5: What's going on in Dead Last?
- 49:42Speaker 9: Apparently, the whole thing is they're a band.
- 49:45Speaker 5: Sure they are.
- 49:45Speaker 9: With the Ket Turton as their lead singer.
- 49:50Speaker 5: He's no Jordan Ket.
- 49:51Speaker 9: Because, of course, what instrument do chicks play?
- 49:55Speaker 5: They have to play bass.
- 49:57Speaker 9: I've called out every- You know that because I tried
- 49:59Speaker 9: to explain it to you. You were like, what are
- 50:00Speaker 9: you talking about? Chicks play all the instruments.
- 50:01Speaker 10: I'm like, no.
- 50:02Speaker 9: You're like, Chicks play bass.
- 50:03Speaker 5: If there's a chick in a band. Now, if it's
- 50:06Speaker 5: an all-girl band, they play whatever. But if it's a
- 50:08Speaker 5: band and they get more instruments.
- 50:11Speaker 9: Until you get to Lenny Kravitz.
- 50:13Speaker 5: Well, eventually, you know, you have your breakouts. There's a
- 50:17Speaker 5: handful before. And like now, hopefully, you know, girls rock
- 50:21Speaker 5: and they can do whatever the hell they want moving forward.
- 50:23Speaker 5: But there was that era of, you know, once we
- 50:26Speaker 5: got away from girl groups. And before we got to now,
- 50:29Speaker 5: there was the lone girl that was like, oh, she
- 50:32Speaker 5: must be super cool. White zombie. She's in this guy band.
- 50:35Speaker 5: And they let this girl in. She must be extra cool.
- 50:37Speaker 5: Cooler than all other girls. And what did she play?
- 50:39Speaker 4: Bass.
- 50:40Speaker 5: It was all with bass.
- 50:41Speaker 1: Darcy from Smashing Pumpkins. Did she play bass?
- 50:43Speaker 9: Probably.
- 50:44Speaker 1: I can't remember.
- 50:45Speaker 9: I don't remember.
- 50:46Speaker 5: Just about every, if you had a girl in your band.
- 50:49Speaker 5: And I was sad. I was like, but why? I'm
- 50:52Speaker 5: pretty sure you could play guitar. You're already holding the bass.
- 50:54Speaker 5: Just don't. Why can't you learn to play? I don't know.
- 50:57Speaker 5: Why can't you learn to play drums? There's now, I
- 50:59Speaker 5: know of tons of girl drummers that are awesome. So
- 51:01Speaker 5: I'm like, it was just a weird period of like,
- 51:04Speaker 5: it was such a cliche thing of like, why?
- 51:06Speaker 1: It was cliche, but it was kind of cool at
- 51:07Speaker 1: the same time.
- 51:08Speaker 5: I mean, it's just cool to have a girl in
- 51:09Speaker 5: your band when like, you know.
- 51:11Speaker 1: But I mean, there were a couple of girls that
- 51:12Speaker 1: I knew that were.
- 51:14Speaker 9: Yes, Darcy played bass.
- 51:17Speaker 1: There were a couple of girls that I knew and
- 51:20Speaker 1: they all played bass.
- 51:21Speaker 9: Alicia.
- 51:22Speaker 1: Did Alicia play bass?
- 51:23Speaker 9: Yes. Oh, but. I mean, it's just cool to be
- 51:27Speaker 9: in your band.
- 51:28Speaker 1: I don't know if Heather played bass or not.
- 51:29Speaker 5: I can't remember.
- 51:29Speaker 1: I think she did. Yeah, because we were going to
- 51:32Speaker 1: be in a band. Because all I can do is, well,
- 51:35Speaker 1: I can't sing, but I could try to sing because
- 51:37Speaker 1: I can't play any instruments.
- 51:39Speaker 9: I could play the triangle like nobody's business and the accordion.
- 51:41Speaker 5: That became my role, although I did sit down on
- 51:44Speaker 5: drums in my fictional band.
- 51:46Speaker 9: Hey, Cyber Nachos, for life.
- 51:49Speaker 5: T-shirts are still available. I found them in the move,
- 51:52Speaker 5: so I've still got a good six or eight T-shirts.
- 51:55Speaker 9: Anyways, they're in a band, and during one of their shows, one,
- 52:01Speaker 9: of course, it's got Tyler Labine, who I adore in
- 52:03Speaker 9: just about everything. I don't even care. He falls through
- 52:07Speaker 9: the floor. The one for the.
- 52:08Speaker 1: Show was when they were doing their practice.
- 52:11Speaker 9: Yeah, that for the show. They were out there at
- 52:12Speaker 9: the venue, and the electricity went out, so he's going
- 52:15Speaker 9: to fix it. Oh, yeah. So he tried fiddling with
- 52:17Speaker 9: the box and he got shocked. He fell through the
- 52:19Speaker 9: fucking floor. And while in the sub-basement of the floor,
- 52:23Speaker 9: he finds this medallion. Was it the amulet of Sauron
- 52:26Speaker 9: or some shit like that? Anyways, having this amulet gives
- 52:30Speaker 9: you the ability to see ghosts.
- 52:33Speaker 5: Where did this show exist?
- 52:35Speaker 9: From what I found, it was like some weird-ass country.
- 52:39Speaker 9: It wasn't even like here.
- 52:40Speaker 5: On the USA network or something?
- 52:41Speaker 3: No, no. I think they shot it.
- 52:43Speaker 9: It feels very creepy, or Freaky Links. It has that
- 52:47Speaker 9: same feel.
- 52:48Speaker 1: Yeah, they shot it, and then I guess they showed
- 52:51Speaker 1: it on maybe Argentina or Venezuela or someplace like that.
- 52:57Speaker 1: It was somewhere in South America where they were showing it.
- 53:01Speaker 5: Interesting.
- 53:03Speaker 9: It was weird. According to this, it was actually aired
- 53:05Speaker 9: by the WB for a while. The WB.
- 53:07Speaker 1: The CW.
- 53:08Speaker 3: WB.
- 53:10Speaker 9: It was filmed in 2001. Which, because one of the
- 53:14Speaker 9: episodes I'm watching, I'm like, oh, this has got to
- 53:16Speaker 9: be pre-9-11. Then I looked it up, and it was shot,
- 53:20Speaker 9: it was on TV less than two weeks before 9-11.
- 53:22Speaker 9: Because the whole premise of the show is, Tyler Levine's
- 53:26Speaker 9: on a plane, and he's flying to whatever city, and
- 53:30Speaker 9: a ghost on the plane's like, alright, one of these bits,
- 53:35Speaker 9: the whole fucking plane's going to crash. You have to
- 53:38Speaker 9: convince the pilots that.
- 53:40Speaker 5: They need to take the.
- 53:41Speaker 1: Plane off autopilot. And fly it. Because autopilot. There was
- 53:44Speaker 1: something faulty with it. That they couldn't correct it.
- 53:46Speaker 5: If it was on autopilot.
- 53:48Speaker 1: And they would all die. Because that's what happened to him.
- 53:50Speaker 10: Hmm. Was that.
- 53:54Speaker 1: He had the plane on autopilot. And then this part malfunctioned.
- 53:58Speaker 1: And they crashed. And for some reason. They sourced the
- 54:01Speaker 1: malfunctioning part. From that plane. And put it on this plane.
- 54:04Speaker 9: So they have to help these ghosts. So they can
- 54:06Speaker 9: move on. So that was this guy's. One last thing.
- 54:09Speaker 9: Is he had to. Save these people. Anyway. So I'm like.
- 54:12Speaker 9: He's like. Well, just go into the cockpit. I'm like.
- 54:16Speaker 5: Wait a second. You can't just walk into the cockpit.
- 54:18Speaker 9: You can't just walk up into the cockpit. You can't
- 54:20Speaker 9: just scroll on up in there. And then I'm like...
- 54:24Speaker 9: His last-ditch effort, after they think he's crazy to begin with,
- 54:27Speaker 9: is to take a knife to his sister's throat while
- 54:30Speaker 9: forcing his way into the cockpit.
- 54:32Speaker 5: Sure. This all seems fine.
- 54:35Speaker 9: Where he then forces out the pilots, takes over flying
- 54:39Speaker 9: the plane himself.
- 54:39Speaker 5: I'm like.
- 54:42Speaker 9: I'm like, wait a second.
- 54:45Speaker 5: Still not the weirdest.
- 54:46Speaker 1: She was like, what year did this premiere in? This
- 54:49Speaker 1: can't be, this has got to be pre-9-11.
- 54:51Speaker 5: Still not the weirdest. You can finish this in a minute,
- 54:56Speaker 5: but did you ever see, I remember several of the episodes,
- 55:00Speaker 5: but did you ever see the first premiere offshoot episode
- 55:05Speaker 5: of lone gunman i.
- 55:06Speaker 14: Heard very weird things holy shit like we might have
- 55:10Speaker 14: to go watch that right now like literally it like
- 55:13Speaker 14: it's you'll get halfway in and be like wait when
- 55:17Speaker 14: was this like no really go youtube it.
- 55:21Speaker 5: It's it was out there at least months ago when
- 55:24Speaker 5: i i heard someone describe the premise and went nah
- 55:28Speaker 5: and they went and found it was like Oh, shit.
- 55:30Speaker 9: I think it's on one of those many lists. I
- 55:32Speaker 9: read lists a lot. I think it's on those lists
- 55:35Speaker 9: of TVs that had weird coincidences.
- 55:37Speaker 5: Weird coincidences.
- 55:39Speaker 9: I didn't think it was a coincidence. I just thought
- 55:41Speaker 9: it was very... I'm like, this would not air after 9-11.
- 55:43Speaker 5: Yeah, this was just, yeah, things that is impossible now.
- 55:47Speaker 9: Yeah, I was just saying that I'm like, there's no
- 55:49Speaker 9: way this aired after 9-11 because that changed... everything when
- 55:53Speaker 9: it came to like planes and you were not, you
- 55:56Speaker 9: were not just going to walk your ass into the cockpit.
- 55:58Speaker 5: Well, even like the most basic, somebody was making fun of, um,
- 56:01Speaker 5: love actually, because like at the end, the big romance
- 56:04Speaker 5: part of this one is the kid goes like busting
- 56:07Speaker 5: through the security to go stop the girl before she gets.
- 56:09Speaker 1: On the plane.
- 56:09Speaker 5: I'm like, they'd shoot that kid now. Like you can't
- 56:12Speaker 5: do that kind of shit. Like you can't have your
- 56:14Speaker 5: big dumb rom-com moments anymore in the airport because airports
- 56:18Speaker 5: don't work like that no more. Like it's just funny
- 56:20Speaker 5: how much everything sort of, rearranged itself after.
- 56:23Speaker 9: Well, and at the end of this one, after he
- 56:25Speaker 9: fucking commandeers the plane, barely manages to land it, I'm like,
- 56:29Speaker 9: even if they can figure out that there was some
- 56:31Speaker 9: faulty thing there, his ass is going to jail for
- 56:33Speaker 9: the rest of forever.
- 56:34Speaker 5: Yeah, forever.
- 56:35Speaker 9: They're like, now you can leave. I'm like, no, no, no, no.
- 56:39Speaker 5: Don't you bust into the cockpit at knife point again.
- 56:42Speaker 9: Was it a plastic knife?
- 56:43Speaker 1: Yeah, it was a plastic knife.
- 56:45Speaker 5: Well, sure.
- 56:46Speaker 9: By his sister, who was played by Busy, was it
- 56:48Speaker 9: Busy Phillips? Busy?
- 56:49Speaker 8: Busy.
- 56:50Speaker 9: Busy. That one also had Pauly Perrette, which I'm like.
- 56:54Speaker 5: Is that... That had to be close to Dawson time, right?
- 56:59Speaker 5: That's around that time.
- 57:00Speaker 9: I think so.
- 57:01Speaker 5: Or maybe right before.
- 57:02Speaker 9: But Pauly Perrette was like... If I didn't know that
- 57:05Speaker 9: it was Pauly Perrette, I might not have known that
- 57:06Speaker 9: it was Pauly Perrette. Because she was blonde. You know
- 57:08Speaker 9: Pauly Perrette?
- 57:09Speaker 5: Yes. Sure.
- 57:11Speaker 9: NCIS, black hair.
- 57:13Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 57:14Speaker 9: Blonde as can be.
- 57:17Speaker 5: I was thinking that the other day. I think it
- 57:19Speaker 5: was coming on. I was just like, For God's sakes,
- 57:22Speaker 5: how long has this show been on?
- 57:23Speaker 9: She finally left. But yeah, it's just been like me
- 57:26Speaker 9: randomly trying to figure out who the fuck these people are.
- 57:28Speaker 9: And I'm like, I know that guy. He was apparently
- 57:30Speaker 9: on Buffy as one of the mayor's assistants. There's some shit.
- 57:35Speaker 5: Eventually those crossovers always happen.
- 57:36Speaker 9: Last night I'm like, I know that guy and I
- 57:38Speaker 9: don't fucking like him. Parker. Remember Parker from Buffy?
- 57:43Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 57:44Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 57:45Speaker 9: From college.
- 57:47Speaker 5: Fairly, but kind of.
- 57:48Speaker 9: He's a really douchey guy.
- 57:49Speaker 5: Yeah, there was a lot.
- 57:50Speaker 9: I hated that guy. But yeah, we're only one disc
- 57:53Speaker 9: into the entire one season that there is of this show.
- 57:57Speaker 9: But yeah, I'm waiting to see who else I will
- 58:00Speaker 9: be able to see and identify from this delightful gem
- 58:04Speaker 9: that is Dead Last. If I can ever fucking find
- 58:09Speaker 9: the other show, I'll tell you about that one. The
- 58:10Speaker 9: one that you were talking about earlier. The Dead Beat.
- 58:12Speaker 9: Dead Beat. Which is the one with him and the kids. Oh, yeah,
- 58:15Speaker 9: the one with the kids. Actually, I'm not even sure
- 58:17Speaker 9: if there's kids, but it involved... I think Tyler the
- 58:19Speaker 9: Bean plays pretty much the same character in every show.
- 58:22Speaker 5: I feel like it was right after Reaper. I feel
- 58:25Speaker 5: like it was immediate. They were just like, Tyler the
- 58:28Speaker 5: Bean's still kind of popular. Let's spin this into a
- 58:30Speaker 5: thing and just... some agent of his was like get
- 58:33Speaker 5: him a show now like he's still hot like so
- 58:35Speaker 5: i feel like it was almost immediately like they threw
- 58:37Speaker 5: him on a i don't even know if it was
- 58:39Speaker 5: a different network but then like suddenly like i think.
- 58:41Speaker 9: Rewilds was even in episodes so i definitely need.
- 58:43Speaker 5: To watch it he's just like he's a tyler labine
- 58:45Speaker 5: goofball and like he like suddenly is watching some kids
- 58:49Speaker 5: like i don't know he has this.
- 58:50Speaker 9: Is a different one because he apparently sees ghosts in
- 58:51Speaker 9: this one too.
- 58:52Speaker 5: That might be the kid i can't remember i just
- 58:54Speaker 5: remember there was one they made him like All of
- 58:56Speaker 5: a sudden, he had to take care of kids. Maybe
- 58:58Speaker 5: this is a different one. He doesn't know anything about
- 59:00Speaker 5: taking care of kids.
- 59:01Speaker 9: It's going to be a completely different show.
- 59:02Speaker 5: Luckily, it was still pretty good because it was still
- 59:04Speaker 5: Tyler Lee.
- 59:06Speaker 9: I got a Ray Wise tattooed for him, but I
- 59:08Speaker 9: either did not see it. you know it's not infected
- 59:10Speaker 9: anymore so we're all.
- 59:11Speaker 5: Good if you're not following her weird photos on Facebook.
- 59:15Speaker 9: I don't think I posted any pictures of it being
- 59:17Speaker 9: infected because it was kind of gross and I was
- 59:18Speaker 9: kind of like nobody wants to see.
- 59:19Speaker 5: That I just saw it I didn't even know beforehand
- 59:23Speaker 5: I just saw it and went well of course you.
- 59:25Speaker 9: Did and you saw a picture of it online didn't.
- 59:28Speaker 5: You yeah After the fact. And I was just like,
- 59:30Speaker 5: of course you got that. I was not surprised at all.
- 59:33Speaker 9: I thought I mentioned it before.
- 59:34Speaker 5: I don't think you did.
- 59:35Speaker 9: There's when it's infected. Look at that. Isn't that kind
- 59:37Speaker 9: of gross? Gross.
- 59:38Speaker 5: Gross. The devil is infected.
- 59:42Speaker 9: He's fine now. We're good. No longer infected. It's no
- 59:45Speaker 9: longer oozing. It's no longer yellow. And it was. Gross. Dude,
- 59:51Speaker 9: you don't even know. I was terrified my arm was
- 59:52Speaker 9: going to fall off.
- 59:55Speaker 3: All right.
- 59:56Speaker 5: Have you watched anything else? Any other stuff to pass
- 1:00:00Speaker 5: along to people in our round out? It's been a
- 1:00:03Speaker 5: few weeks, so we had to catch up with what
- 1:00:05Speaker 5: you've been watching and stuff.
- 1:00:08Speaker 9: I have my new random thing, but that's not really
- 1:00:10Speaker 9: an important thing. I'm trying to reassemble the gem doll
- 1:00:16Speaker 9: that I had when I was a kid because I
- 1:00:18Speaker 9: found my original gem doll. Surprisingly enough, bitches' earrings still
- 1:00:22Speaker 9: work because they flash.
- 1:00:24Speaker 5: What's up with that? Well, how would you describe her?
- 1:00:28Speaker 5: You know, in general.
- 1:00:30Speaker 9: Would you say she's... She's truly, truly, truly outrageous.
- 1:00:33Speaker 5: Truly, truly.
- 1:00:34Speaker 9: She wasn't as outrageous when I found her because she
- 1:00:36Speaker 9: wasn't wearing the pink dress. She was wearing the blue dress.
- 1:00:38Speaker 9: And I'm just like, what the fuck? Why do I
- 1:00:39Speaker 9: not have... Why is she... Why was my gem doll
- 1:00:41Speaker 9: ever not in the pink dress?
- 1:00:43Speaker 5: Did you call yourself out? Who the hell put her
- 1:00:45Speaker 5: in this?
- 1:00:45Speaker 9: Why the fuck would I do this? Where's her fucking...
- 1:00:48Speaker 9: Where's her pink shoes? Where's her pink dress? So I've
- 1:00:51Speaker 9: been trying to like... I don't know. I mean, I'm
- 1:00:53Speaker 9: sure I still have it somewhere. I really don't want
- 1:00:55Speaker 9: to go back up to Mom's attic because there's just
- 1:00:56Speaker 9: so much dirt and dust and I was sneezing and
- 1:00:59Speaker 9: the allergies were atrocious.
- 1:01:00Speaker 5: And Woody's still up there?
- 1:01:02Speaker 9: He is. They found him and they were threatening to
- 1:01:05Speaker 9: make me take him with me.
- 1:01:06Speaker 5: Oh, God.
- 1:01:07Speaker 9: I'm like, burn that motherfucker. You take him out in
- 1:01:09Speaker 9: the yard and you burn that motherfucker.
- 1:01:11Speaker 5: Oh, he'll be back.
- 1:01:11Speaker 9: Oh, I know.
- 1:01:12Speaker 5: He's fucking creepy. He would be back. If we haven't,
- 1:01:15Speaker 5: and we have told the story, but if you haven't
- 1:01:17Speaker 5: heard the story, there's a possessed Woody from Toy Story
- 1:01:21Speaker 5: doll that Now lives in her mother's attic.
- 1:01:24Speaker 9: In a kitten trunk.
- 1:01:25Speaker 5: In a kitten trunk. I think I blocked that part out.
- 1:01:29Speaker 9: He's in a kitten trunk. I lived in my mom's
- 1:01:32Speaker 9: house until I was 18 when she told me I
- 1:01:34Speaker 9: had to pay rent or get out. But anyways, I
- 1:01:36Speaker 9: got Woody. When did Toy Story come out?
- 1:01:38Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 1:01:40Speaker 9: Late 90s? Mid to late 90s? Yeah, mid. Anyway, so
- 1:01:42Speaker 9: I had the Woody that you'd pull the string and
- 1:01:49Speaker 9: You get the random Woody shit like, oh, there's a
- 1:01:52Speaker 9: snake in my boot. Howdy, partner. Which is all fine
- 1:01:55Speaker 9: and good when you actually pull the string. But when
- 1:01:58Speaker 9: it's like the middle of the night and you're nowhere
- 1:02:01Speaker 9: near him and you hear, there's a snake in my boot.
- 1:02:05Speaker 9: And I'm like, you are not okay, Woody. And he's
- 1:02:08Speaker 9: been in the trunk ever since then.
- 1:02:10Speaker 5: You locked him in a trunk immediately.
- 1:02:11Speaker 9: A kitten trunk, by the way.
- 1:02:13Speaker 5: And then like wrapped him up and stacked things on him.
- 1:02:16Speaker 9: Crucifixes and stuff.
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: Was it a trunk with pictures of kittens on it?
- 1:02:22Speaker 5: Yes.
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:02:23Speaker 9: Like one of those boxed trunks that had little latches
- 1:02:26Speaker 9: on each side.
- 1:02:27Speaker 5: Like a footlocker, kind of, but smaller.
- 1:02:29Speaker 9: Yeah. But it had some puzzles in there, too, so
- 1:02:31Speaker 9: if you ever got really bored, I didn't leave them
- 1:02:33Speaker 9: in there with nothing to do.
- 1:02:35Speaker 5: Like if you opened it and the puzzles were put together,
- 1:02:38Speaker 5: how much would your mind be blown?
- 1:02:39Speaker 9: Fucking blown. But anyways, I went up there. When I
- 1:02:41Speaker 9: have something that I want... I can't stop until I
- 1:02:46Speaker 9: have it. I'm like very like single-minded and I wanted
- 1:02:49Speaker 9: my gem doll. So I faced mom's attic to find
- 1:02:52Speaker 9: my gem doll. I found the gem doll but she
- 1:02:54Speaker 9: was wearing the wrong outfit.
- 1:02:55Speaker 5: Did she put on explorer gear? So you have like
- 1:02:57Speaker 5: a dude pith helmet and machete and I.
- 1:03:01Speaker 9: Gotta remind I gotta make note too this is one
- 1:03:03Speaker 9: of the hottest weeks of the year and this is
- 1:03:05Speaker 9: in the attic so I was like sweating like a sump.
- 1:03:07Speaker 5: The attic is not the best place to go during that.
- 1:03:10Speaker 9: No anyways but I found the gem doll but now
- 1:03:12Speaker 9: I've been trying to reassemble so I've been hitting up
- 1:03:14Speaker 9: eBay and I'm like Motherfucker, I have paid more for
- 1:03:16Speaker 9: this bitch's shoes than I have ever paid for a
- 1:03:18Speaker 9: pair of my own shoes.
- 1:03:22Speaker 5: Well, you have different girl shoe tastes than most girls.
- 1:03:25Speaker 9: Yeah, most of mine consist of chucks. Pink and black
- 1:03:28Speaker 9: varieties specifically. But anyway, so yeah, I bought the pink dress.
- 1:03:32Speaker 9: I bought the pink shoes. I've not bought the stand yet.
- 1:03:34Speaker 9: It's such an ordeal. If I find the bracelet though,
- 1:03:39Speaker 9: that's my next goal is the bracelet. A little bracelet.
- 1:03:42Speaker 5: It's for her, not you.
- 1:03:44Speaker 9: If it would fit me, I would totally fucking wear
- 1:03:45Speaker 9: that shit. But anyways, no, it's not for me. It's
- 1:03:48Speaker 9: for my gem doll and it would be amazing when
- 1:03:50Speaker 9: I get it completed. And it will go on my
- 1:03:52Speaker 9: shelf with my books.
- 1:03:55Speaker 5: And it will be truly, truly, truly outrageous.
- 1:04:00Speaker 9: Yay.
- 1:04:01Speaker 5: That having been said, I think we should round this
- 1:04:03Speaker 5: week out and escape while we can.
- 1:04:06Speaker 9: Good luck with that.
- 1:04:07Speaker 5: Do you want to rock out with some gem? What's
- 1:04:08Speaker 5: your favorite gem song?
- 1:04:09Speaker 9: There's more than one.
- 1:04:12Speaker 5: Other than the theme song.
- 1:04:13Speaker 9: It's been a long time since I've actually watched it.
- 1:04:15Speaker 5: Alright, we're going to watch some Jim right now, obviously. Otherwise,
- 1:04:20Speaker 5: that about does it. We will return next time. Same
- 1:04:22Speaker 5: geek feed. Thanks for listening.
- 1:04:25Speaker 10: Bye.
- 1:04:27Speaker 3: Bye.
- 1:04:44Speaker 6: Jam, jam, the music's contagious, outrageous. Jam is my name,
- 1:04:49Speaker 6: no one else is the same. Jam is my name.
- 1:04:52Speaker 6: We are the misfits, and comes the better. We are
- 1:04:55Speaker 6: the misfits, the misfits, demonic matter. We are the.
- 1:04:59Speaker 3: Misfits, and comes the better.
- 1:05:02Speaker 4: We are the misfits, the misfits, demonic matter. Jen's excitement.
- 1:05:15Speaker 9: Jen.
- 1:05:15Speaker 13: Jen's adventure.
- 1:05:16Speaker 9: Jen.
- 1:05:26Speaker 6: Outrageous. Whoa, jam, jam. The music's contagious.
- 1:05:33Speaker 9: Outrageous.
- 1:05:34Speaker 5: Jam is my name.
- 1:05:35Speaker 6: No one else is the same. Jam is my name.
- 1:05:37Speaker 4: We are remixed. We're closer together. We are remixed.
- 1:05:42Speaker 9: Remixed.
- 1:05:42Speaker 4: We're not together. We are remixed. We're closer together. We
- 1:05:46Speaker 4: are remixed.
- 1:05:47Speaker 10: Remixed.
- 1:05:48Speaker 4: We're not together.
- 1:06:14Speaker 9: Here's me in a hole.
- 1:06:14Speaker 5: A hole.
- 1:06:15Speaker 9: There were several holes. That's me in one of them.
- 1:06:18Speaker 9: I was pretty scared.
- 1:06:19Speaker 5: I feel like you're going to end up in the
- 1:06:20Speaker 5: hole one of these days.
- 1:06:22Speaker 9: Seriously, nobody saw my... I think Boyfriend and Pretty Hair
- 1:06:25Speaker 9: were the only ones who liked my photo.
- 1:06:27Speaker 5: As long as you got Pretty Hair, you're all good. Oh, Misty,
- 1:06:31Speaker 5: you're going to be in jail. You're very special.
- 1:06:35Speaker 9: Yeah.
