Milwaukee’s streetcar, The Hop, is returning to its regular two-route setup next week—no more lakefront-only F-Line! Starting September 1st, the M-Line will resume its downtown and Third Ward route, while the L-Line takes over lakefront service. Riders must check which line they board, as routes are clearly marked—and five transfer points make switching easy. This reversal brings things back to how it was when the lakefront extension first opened this year. Ridership is booming: over 300,000 trips through July alone—more than the entire 2021 year.
