- 0:18SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 0:18SPEAKER_01: Today we are covering a very interesting topic.
- 0:21SPEAKER_01: It's a very strange topic to me.
- 0:24SPEAKER_01: But I had a question, and today I'm hoping to fill that answer.
- 0:28SPEAKER_01: And when we start talking about it, it's going to sound like we're doing the same thing that we're talking about, but we are coming from a very spiritual perspective of this topic.
- 0:39SPEAKER_01: But first, I want to grab my co-host and bring him on board.
- 0:44SPEAKER_01: And that's Andrew Oro Alamore.
- 0:46SPEAKER_01: Welcome.
- 0:47SPEAKER_01: Welcome.
- 0:48SPEAKER_01: You said something to me the other day and it kind of floored me because I was like, why?
- 0:55SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 0:55SPEAKER_01: Why did they do this?
- 0:57SPEAKER_01: You know?
- 0:58SPEAKER_01: And of course I didn't have all the context, but it brought up, it brought up a really interesting topic that I don't know if anybody else has covered because I don't listen to every podcast in the world, but we're covering it today.
- 1:11SPEAKER_01: Gosh darn it.
- 1:12SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 1:13SPEAKER_01: Anyways.
- 1:16SPEAKER_01: Oh Lord.
- 1:18SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 1:18SPEAKER_01: So what did you what did you tell me?
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: So what I told you was about the the Dorothea Puentes house um in downtown Sacramento.
- 1:30SPEAKER_00: I saw that they had done this tour where people could could view it and walk through it.
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: And if for for you guys who don't know what it is, the Dorothea Puente house is a house where a woman murdered, I think it was seven people, collected their insurance checks, and cashed them.
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: And what I told her is that there was this walkthrough of the house and how I was floored by it, not even just floored, but just shop.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: Now, what happened with the tour, or any understanding of the tour is it was recently opened to the public as a part of a preservation for um Sacramento's 50th Annual Historic Home Tour.
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: They did charge for it, it was$40 for the general public and$30 for preservation members.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: But it was a whole like historic tour where they included four historic homes and two commercial buildings, with the Puente House being the biggest attraction.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: And apparently more than a thousand people bought tickets and they raised over$30,000 for the preservation of Sacramento or for the Preservation Society.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: So again, the home was the main attraction and it had a line down the block and around the corner.
- 2:43SPEAKER_01: And it's that that is where this gets fascinating.
- 2:48SPEAKER_01: Because here's my question Are we doing stuff like this?
- 2:52SPEAKER_01: Because this isn't the only place.
- 2:55SPEAKER_01: Are we doing stuff like this because we're we're remembering history?
- 2:59SPEAKER_01: Are we doing this because we're studying danger, dangerous people?
- 3:03SPEAKER_01: Because she seemed like a little nice old lady, right?
- 3:07SPEAKER_01: And then you see what she'd have done.
- 3:09SPEAKER_01: And then are we satisfying some kind of curiosity, which isn't normal to satisfy curiosity?
- 3:14SPEAKER_01: I can't even say anything about that.
- 3:16SPEAKER_01: Or are we turning killers into celebrities?
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: To be honest, I think it's a mixture of all, but I think it falls under the umbrella of dark tourism.
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: And um uh uh, what's that?
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: Dark tourism is um people who are drawn to the proximity to death, fear, and like you said, the feeling of being physically close to someone famous or a famous event.
- 3:43SPEAKER_00: And the reason why I call it that is because it is a mixture of all that.
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: It is visiting a murder, visiting a murder house, visiting execution sites, prisons, and and collecting memorabilia of um murderers, killers, prisons.
- 3:57SPEAKER_00: It's people that are are are basically drawn to the the proximity to death and history and fear and I guess sometimes even authenticity.
- 4:05SPEAKER_00: But I think the one determining factor of dark tourism is being physically close to a famous event.
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: Um, I'm kind of biased because I I see most people uh I guess geared more towards being physically close to a famous event.
- 4:21SPEAKER_00: People flock to fame.
- 4:23SPEAKER_00: And I think what we are doing is deeply, deeply, deeply, and I think dangerously um glorifying serial killers, murderers, violent or the most violent people, evil people, to a degree that I think is incredibly wild and dangerous.
- 4:40SPEAKER_00: But I think again, it falls more so under like dark tourism because people are so deeply fascinated with it.
- 4:45SPEAKER_00: And in the the Puente house, they had all of her stuff.
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: And I mean, buttons, um, her kitchen materials, uh, pictures, um, cat hairballs, everything you could possibly ever imagine that was there that would that would be a house owned by an old lady who did serial killings, was there displayed for everyone to view.
- 5:07SPEAKER_00: So yeah, I think it's it's it has a lot to do with um being close to uh a famous event, a famous person.
- 5:17SPEAKER_01: See, I think it's interesting because the people who own the property themselves, it's like they're they're opening up because it's historic, like the house is pretty old, but it's the people who are coming, is where that energy starts to get really strange and convoluted, I would say, more than anything.
- 5:36SPEAKER_01: And that's where the questions really come in because there's places where we're we're talking about bed and breakfasts.
- 5:45SPEAKER_01: We're talking about spending the night because of what happened in that place.
- 5:51SPEAKER_01: And we're gonna dig a little bit deeper into the spiritual implications of messing around with that kind of energy and and a little bit more about why people are doing this.
- 6:03SPEAKER_01: This is gonna be an interesting conversation.
- 6:05SPEAKER_02: I'm excited.
- 6:12SPEAKER_01: I I literally have never heard that term before.
- 6:16SPEAKER_01: So does that mean you're into this?
- 6:18SPEAKER_01: That's how you found out about this?
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: A little.
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: I mean, I'm not into going to no murder house.
- 6:23SPEAKER_00: Hell no.
- 6:25SPEAKER_00: But um, I really love occult stuff, creep it.
- 6:29SPEAKER_00: Halloween is my favorite, favorite, favorite holiday.
- 6:31SPEAKER_00: Um, and I love anything creepy anyway, ghosts, all that stuff.
- 6:34SPEAKER_00: But you're not gonna catch me collecting any serial killer memorabilia, memorable memorabilia, however you say it, and you're not gonna catch me in a murder house.
- 6:43SPEAKER_00: That's I think that's just wild.
- 6:44SPEAKER_00: No judgment to anybody who does it, all judgment kinda, because that's crazy.
- 6:48SPEAKER_00: But I just I wouldn't do that, I wouldn't go that far.
- 6:52SPEAKER_00: But yeah.
- 6:54SPEAKER_01: Just I had to look up the word you were talking about.
- 6:57SPEAKER_01: This is not what I thought you were saying.
- 6:59SPEAKER_01: I thought you were saying dark thorism.
- 7:07SPEAKER_01: You were saying dark tourism.
- 7:10SPEAKER_01: So tourist.
- 7:11SPEAKER_01: Okay, okay.
- 7:12SPEAKER_01: This is this is making sense.
- 7:14SPEAKER_01: So some of I guess psychology actually centers around uh the fact that not all people that focus on these things focus on the offenders, because there are a lot of people who I mean, they seek out killers to write them fan letters, and I think you didn't do it, or you did do it, and I'm fascinated by you.
- 7:33SPEAKER_01: But we also have people who are interested in um research, why people are doing what they're doing, they identify with the victims, so they're feeling empathy or reason to remember them.
- 7:48SPEAKER_01: I don't I still don't know if I would pay a ticket to go into a house, especially with that type of energy.
- 7:53SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you know what I mean?
- 7:54SPEAKER_01: Like, yeah, as people who do healing work and we communicate with the dead, I think we know what kind of energy that house is gonna hold when somebody is sitting there taking people's lives left and right and and preying on people.
- 8:10SPEAKER_01: And then the energy of the people who were taking and what kind of energy did they have before they passed away.
- 8:17SPEAKER_01: And like all of that is in the house.
- 8:19SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 8:20SPEAKER_01: And what's really important for people to understand too is that when you're going into a place like this, I mean, we try the reason we want to go visit homes, and and a lot of us want to spend the night in a house before we buy it or rent it is because we want to see the energies that are there.
- 8:36SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 8:37SPEAKER_01: We want to know the energies that are present, but you know what kind of energies are most likely going to be present in this kind of house, and you're voluntarily putting your energy in there just seems like a lot to me.
- 8:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it feels almost disrespectful to the people who were taken or killed mercilessly.
- 8:54SPEAKER_00: Um, to me, it just felt really, really disrespectful.
- 8:56SPEAKER_00: And it's just something I wouldn't do.
- 8:58SPEAKER_00: But I get the fascination.
- 8:59SPEAKER_00: I get wanting to, I guess, experience what they did in a sense.
- 9:07SPEAKER_00: Um, I don't know.
- 9:08SPEAKER_00: It it feels strange, like almost like this kind of back and forth, this spite of like, is it disrespectful?
- 9:14SPEAKER_00: Should I do it?
- 9:15SPEAKER_00: Is it fun?
- 9:16SPEAKER_00: Is it interesting?
- 9:17SPEAKER_00: Is it fascinating?
- 9:18SPEAKER_00: But at the same time, I'm kind of like, yeah, all in the spirit of Halloween and everything creepy.
- 9:23SPEAKER_00: But I don't know, it just feels so disrespectful.
- 9:26SPEAKER_00: And the same with any other home where there was a mini serial killings and they opened it up to be an exhibit.
- 9:32SPEAKER_00: I feel like that is just so wild.
- 9:36SPEAKER_01: I don't know if I would go that far.
- 9:39SPEAKER_01: For me personally, I don't know if I would go that far to say disrespectful, but I'm sitting here going, if I was somebody who was murdered, would I be happy if somebody paid all this money to walk past where I was killed at?
- 9:49SPEAKER_01: I'm not sure.
- 9:51SPEAKER_01: I would I would personally be okay with that.
- 9:54SPEAKER_01: Um at the same time, being in the spirit world, I don't even think I would know about it, nor care.
- 9:59SPEAKER_01: So, you know, I'm thinking from a human perspective, but usually spirits aren't really hanging around going, ooh, you're wrong for that, unless they're stuck in a location.
- 10:10SPEAKER_01: And then I would want to do a paranormal investigation if I felt like I could help, if I could send those spirits back home.
- 10:18SPEAKER_01: But just to walk through a house where somebody had the mental capacity to just take people out left and right is just not, it's just not my thing.
- 10:28SPEAKER_01: But for a lot of people, it really is.
- 10:30SPEAKER_01: And I'm not even gonna pretend like I understand the reasons behind it.
- 10:35SPEAKER_01: One of the things that I know when it comes to like psychology is reading that there's a very oh, there's a very, I'm trying to think of the small, there's a thin line.
- 10:48SPEAKER_01: That's a good word.
- 10:49SPEAKER_01: There's a thin line between like anxiety and excitement.
- 10:55SPEAKER_01: So when people get afraid, it's exciting.
- 10:58SPEAKER_01: That's why we like roller coasters.
- 11:00SPEAKER_01: That's why we like telling you know scary stories.
- 11:03SPEAKER_01: You know, fun fact Christmas.
- 11:06SPEAKER_01: For real, Christmas, I think in the 1800s, they used to sit around the campfire.
- 11:12SPEAKER_01: They used to sit around the fireplace and tell ghost stories for Christmas.
- 11:15SPEAKER_01: What's that about?
- 11:18SPEAKER_01: Humans are storytellers.
- 11:20SPEAKER_01: We love to tell stories, and really the reality is when you go to one of these houses that's a museum, or they open it up for a day or whatever the thing is, the attraction, you're learning the story word of mouth.
- 11:36SPEAKER_02: So that's true.
- 11:37SPEAKER_01: So it's it's just an idea.
- 11:39SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 11:40SPEAKER_01: That's the only reason I'm not judging it.
- 11:42SPEAKER_01: I don't want to do it, but I'm not judging it.
- 11:44SPEAKER_01: But I anybody who does, I just would say think of what energy you could be bringing home.
- 11:49SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 11:50SPEAKER_01: And learn how to clear your energy if you're gonna go into one of those places.
- 11:53SPEAKER_00: Definitely, definitely, definitely.
- 11:55SPEAKER_01: And I'm getting scared and hear them in the dark office and something move to the side.
- 12:01SPEAKER_01: You know, for real though, I've been seeing things a lot lately, and I haven't seen things a lot in a in a while.
- 12:07SPEAKER_01: Just because I don't do mediumship readings and stuff anymore.
- 12:10SPEAKER_01: Um, only if they come to me when I'm doing a healing session, yeah, do I even communicate with the dead.
- 12:16SPEAKER_01: So it's really weird to just be seeing stuff walking around the house.
- 12:20SPEAKER_01: Maybe that's why I actually got interested in doing this.
- 12:25unknown: Yeah.
- 12:25SPEAKER_01: Because we're gonna be talking about it all month long.
- 12:27SPEAKER_01: What?
- 12:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I've been feeling the exact same thing.
- 12:29SPEAKER_00: For me, it's been like more so I think audio, audible.
- 12:32SPEAKER_00: Like I can feel them right next to me.
- 12:35SPEAKER_00: I can hear them and and feel the energy like right next to me, or them wanting to tell you something.
- 12:39SPEAKER_00: So I'll tell them to come in a certain way.
- 12:41SPEAKER_01: Um excuse me, homie.
- 12:42SPEAKER_01: Hold on.
- 12:43SPEAKER_01: No, can you can you ask them what they're doing here then, please?
- 12:46SPEAKER_00: Ain't nobody got time for that.
- 12:47SPEAKER_00: What did they tell me?
- 12:48SPEAKER_00: Hell no.
- 12:52SPEAKER_01: Are you afraid of them?
- 12:53SPEAKER_01: Hell yeah.
- 12:54SPEAKER_01: See, I'm not afraid of them when I know they're there.
- 12:57SPEAKER_01: I'm afraid because I don't know when I turn around if it's gonna be a human or a serial killer.
- 13:01SPEAKER_01: That's the problem.
- 13:02SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 13:02SPEAKER_00: Ain't nobody got time for that.
- 13:03SPEAKER_01: Once I know it's an actual spirit, that doesn't scare me anymore.
- 13:07SPEAKER_01: But like just seeing things move out of the corner, that freaks me out because I'm more afraid of humans than I would be of like the spirit world.
- 13:14SPEAKER_00: Humans are worse.
- 13:15SPEAKER_00: So yeah, that makes sense.
- 13:16SPEAKER_00: Well, can be.
- 13:18SPEAKER_01: Humans can be, they can be.
- 13:20SPEAKER_01: Um, just because you know, humans do kill for sport, and the animal kingdom tend to kill.
- 13:26SPEAKER_01: I'm not gonna say all of them, I would say most of them tend to kill because they're threaten they feel threatened or for protection or for food.
- 13:32SPEAKER_01: So, and humans will actually kill because they're like, I just want to see what that feels like.
- 13:37SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
- 13:37SPEAKER_01: And I'm just not into that.
- 13:39SPEAKER_01: So, yeah, humans can be a little scary.
- 13:41SPEAKER_01: They get mad at you because you say no to a date or something, and then that's that's a lot.
- 13:47SPEAKER_01: That's a lot of energy.
- 13:48SPEAKER_00: So somebody said somebody says no to you, and you end up on the list of attractions of where the bodies were collected at.
- 13:58SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 13:58SPEAKER_01: That's and that's the problem right there.
- 14:00SPEAKER_01: So I'm I'm curious, like, how how do you do mediumship readings if you're afraid of the dead?
- 14:05SPEAKER_01: I'm I'm fascinated right now.
- 14:07SPEAKER_01: You have no clue.
- 14:08SPEAKER_00: I guess for me, it's it's kind of like a really big contradiction because I'm like, I'm scared as hell.
- 14:16SPEAKER_00: But when I'm with somebody, I'm like, I don't want to do this shit, you know?
- 14:20SPEAKER_00: Let's call in your grandma.
- 14:22SPEAKER_00: I see exactly what she was wearing when she died.
- 14:24SPEAKER_00: She wasn't paid, this and that.
- 14:25SPEAKER_01: Wait, no, no, no, no, hold on.
- 14:28SPEAKER_01: I I gotta keep stopping you because you're confusing me.
- 14:30SPEAKER_01: Do you mean to tell me that if you're if you okay, no?
- 14:33SPEAKER_01: See, everybody has to understand where I'm coming from.
- 14:36SPEAKER_01: You said you said if you're not alone.
- 14:38SPEAKER_01: So that means if you're on Zoom with the client, you're good.
- 14:42SPEAKER_01: That's considered not alone.
- 14:44SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
- 14:46SPEAKER_00: But no, so okay, so that I guess again is another contradiction I'll say for myself because sometimes I'll call in a sphere and a whole family's come through, or something happened to a family where they had an encounter with a demon or made a contract with something scary, and that something will show up next to me, and it's something I just can't deny.
- 15:05SPEAKER_00: Like it's looming over me, just standing there.
- 15:07SPEAKER_00: I can feel it, like I can feel the whole mass of the energy of whatever it is, or the family will come in real, real clear and it's standing like right next to me, telling me what it wants me to relay back to the person.
- 15:18SPEAKER_00: So I guess I'm still a little bit scared because they're there.
- 15:21SPEAKER_00: I can feel them.
- 15:22SPEAKER_00: I can feel a physical, well, not physical form, but a powerful energetic form next to me.
- 15:27SPEAKER_00: But it's less scary when someone is there watching than it is when I'm doing it alone.
- 15:32SPEAKER_00: Like right now, I kind of feel something here, and I'm kind of like, well, don't snatch my wig off, please.
- 15:36SPEAKER_00: I I guess it's kind of uh I'm a big contradiction because at one point when I'm not alone, I'm not as scared.
- 15:42SPEAKER_00: I guess I could say that.
- 15:44SPEAKER_00: But when I am, I feel like it's more frightening because I have to deal with it by myself.
- 15:49SPEAKER_00: So yeah.
- 15:51SPEAKER_00: That's fascinating.
- 15:53SPEAKER_00: It's still scary as hell because I'm always like, there's a part of me that's like, oh, I want to see them.
- 15:57SPEAKER_00: I want to be like that boy from um that movie where he was seeing dead people.
- 16:01SPEAKER_00: I want to, I want to be like that.
- 16:02SPEAKER_00: So I'm gonna come in your room and be like, people and my breath come out all cold, you know.
- 16:08SPEAKER_01: But I'm talking about the sixth sense.
- 16:11SPEAKER_00: Yes, the sixth sense.
- 16:12SPEAKER_00: My body, I don't think my body can handle that.
- 16:14SPEAKER_00: I think my little chunky heart would explode in my body and I'd be one of the spirits in the next five minutes.
- 16:19SPEAKER_01: Oh man.
- 16:19SPEAKER_00: So they come only in the sense of like I can feel them.
- 16:25SPEAKER_00: I think seeing is just too much.
- 16:27SPEAKER_00: They come only in that physical sense, but they come so vividly that it feels like I can see them.
- 16:32SPEAKER_01: Even though you're only hearing them, it feels like you can see them.
- 16:35SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
- 16:36SPEAKER_00: Because they're like they're there.
- 16:37SPEAKER_00: Like every single time I call them, or I have a mediumship reading, or we do a mediumship thing with somebody, they're there.
- 16:43SPEAKER_00: Um, and it's in mistake, it's not mistakable.
- 16:46SPEAKER_00: I mean, it's unmistakable.
- 16:47SPEAKER_00: Is that a word?
- 16:48SPEAKER_01: Unmistakable?
- 16:49SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that yeah, it's something I can't mistake because it isn't a I guess you can make it up, yeah.
- 16:57SPEAKER_00: But when you're standing in front of me and I can see you have an energy, you can't deny that energy standing in front of me.
- 17:04SPEAKER_00: When I'm doing mediumship work, mediumship work or whatever, and I call in their energy, it's the exact same thing without a physical form.
- 17:12SPEAKER_00: I can feel that energy.
- 17:13SPEAKER_00: It's even more, I guess I want to say, heightened because there is no physical form.
- 17:18SPEAKER_00: So yeah, long rant, but yeah, it gets a little wild.
- 17:23SPEAKER_01: It is.
- 17:23SPEAKER_01: Is it there's some dark stuff that I don't even want to go into, but I well, there's a few of them we are gonna go into.
- 17:30SPEAKER_01: So you already went into the Sacramento House.
- 17:32SPEAKER_01: One of the ones that I find fascinating that we have made famous, and I'm not really sure why we've made it famous, but I do have my own theory on this.
- 17:40SPEAKER_01: So let me cover what we're gonna be talking about, and then I'm gonna tell you my theory, and then you can tell me yours.
- 17:46SPEAKER_01: So the Lizzie Borden house.
- 17:48SPEAKER_01: Now, there's been movies, TV shows, documentaries on Lizzie Borden.
- 17:53SPEAKER_01: I've seen enough around Lizzie Borden, and it was the fact that let's see, it's Andrew and Abby Borden were killed with a hatchet inside of their home in 1892, so over a hundred years ago.
- 18:05SPEAKER_01: Their daughter, Lizzie, was tried and acquitted, and the murders remain officially unsolved.
- 18:12SPEAKER_01: The house later became a museum, bed and breakfast where visitors can tour and stay overnight.
- 18:19SPEAKER_01: Do you understand why this is on our list?
- 18:21SPEAKER_00: Uh uh.
- 18:24SPEAKER_01: So we have two people who were murdered, and then we have people who want to stay in the rooms and sleep in the rooms.
- 18:33SPEAKER_00: No.
- 18:34SPEAKER_01: That's not so so some of these are literally their tours.
- 18:38SPEAKER_01: You just go in, you learn the story.
- 18:40SPEAKER_01: To me, that's the the storytelling aspect makes sense.
- 18:44SPEAKER_01: But it's why are we spending the night?
- 18:46SPEAKER_01: This is fascinating to me.
- 18:47SPEAKER_01: So here's my theory on this.
- 18:51SPEAKER_01: It's unsolved.
- 18:54SPEAKER_01: I cannot stand an unsolved mystery.
- 18:57SPEAKER_01: As a matter of fact, if if I weren't a healer, if I did not follow the path of the psychic medium, then I would want to be, and it was funny because only one other healer has ever said this to me.
- 19:12SPEAKER_01: And it was um Dr.
- 19:14SPEAKER_01: Yvette Rose.
- 19:15SPEAKER_01: She talked about I would be a forensic uh psychologist, I think it was, or forensic, somebody who does forensics.
- 19:22SPEAKER_01: And I've been like that for as long as I can remember because you get to dissect aspects of a mystery and then solve the mystery.
- 19:32SPEAKER_01: My mother loved murder novels because she gets to solve a mystery.
- 19:37SPEAKER_01: She turned me on to, of course, it wasn't a true crime, but it was, it was, you know, fake.
- 19:42SPEAKER_01: Young adult books, it wasn't too gruesome.
- 19:44SPEAKER_01: But I love to try to figure out who it was.
- 19:46SPEAKER_01: And if I couldn't figure out who it was by the end of the book, I'd be like, mom, oh my gosh, I wouldn't even think it was that person.
- 19:52SPEAKER_01: So she really got me turned on to that, and I realized how wrong I usually was.
- 19:58SPEAKER_01: So I was like, I probably wouldn't be a great psychologist as far as like trying to figure out who did it.
- 20:05SPEAKER_01: I don't think I would be great at what else is it like you have to a detective?
- 20:09SPEAKER_01: That's something I thought that would always be fun.
- 20:11SPEAKER_01: Like if I wanted to change my profession, but I'm like, but I'm I of course I'm not good at it.
- 20:15SPEAKER_01: Um but if I did forensics, then I could literally find out who did it based on the evidence that is presented, which is unmistakable.
- 20:26SPEAKER_01: And I'm that's what I'm fascinated by when it comes to um things like unsolved mysteries.
- 20:32SPEAKER_01: This one's very interesting to me only because it's unsolved.
- 20:36SPEAKER_01: What about you?
- 20:38SPEAKER_00: Woo! I I I can't believe people are staying overnight.
- 20:41SPEAKER_00: But I do get the curiosity.
- 20:43SPEAKER_00: I I couldn't stay overnight because I'm scared that I'm gonna wake up with her with trying to hit me with an axe.
- 20:47SPEAKER_00: That's craziness.
- 20:49SPEAKER_00: I am a little judgmental.
- 20:51SPEAKER_00: But I'm also incredibly aware of the spirits.
- 20:55SPEAKER_00: So I feel like going to a place like that would basically be like picking up a cell phone and listening to a thousand mofos yelling and screaming it.
- 21:06SPEAKER_00: Now it's only four people, I mean two people that died there, but it feels like I'm opening a door up to really uh relive something really, really scary.
- 21:14SPEAKER_00: Um and no, I couldn't do it.
- 21:16SPEAKER_00: I couldn't stay there overnight.
- 21:17SPEAKER_00: That's absolutely wild.
- 21:18SPEAKER_01: What do you mean, reliving or opening up to experiencing something?
- 21:22SPEAKER_01: You mean you experiencing whatever happened in the house?
- 21:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like experiencing the whole story or kind of being forced to relive what happened to the people that died there.
- 21:32SPEAKER_00: Um, because I'm a psychic, because I'm a healer, because I have that kind of sense open, I feel like it would put me back in that place to experience that that heaviness in a way that I don't think I could be able to stop or control, especially if I'm asleep.
- 21:47SPEAKER_00: Um, in a bed and breakfast.
- 21:49SPEAKER_00: No, that would be divinely scary.
- 21:53SPEAKER_00: Like gut wrenchingly scary to go back into that house and experience what they experienced, no matter how.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: Um, bad or good the people were who did die because they they they keep sharing films about what possibly happened.
- 22:06SPEAKER_00: Um, why Lizzie did it, what her motivations were.
- 22:10SPEAKER_00: They they make a film about it like every four years, or TV show now, I think, whatever it is.
- 22:14SPEAKER_00: But um, yeah, it just feels like because I'm so sensitive, I would have to re-experience that.
- 22:19SPEAKER_00: And I don't want to be chased down no damn hallway with a hatchet, you know?
- 22:24SPEAKER_01: I I'm gonna say this.
- 22:26SPEAKER_00: Uh-huh.
- 22:27SPEAKER_01: With all the love in the world, you are dramatic.
- 22:30SPEAKER_01: So you are hate, don't be hating, don't be hating.
- 22:34SPEAKER_01: You are dramatic.
- 22:35SPEAKER_01: So, one of the things that I like, I'm not afraid of Ouija boards, I'm not afraid of haunted houses, I'm not afraid of most things that that terrify people, that entertain people.
- 22:46SPEAKER_01: However, I have had my spirit guides tell me, be careful who you go with, be careful who you're doing these things around.
- 22:53SPEAKER_01: You need to protect your energy.
- 22:55SPEAKER_01: And we're not talking about spirits, we're not talking about because we can send them home.
- 22:58SPEAKER_01: They don't like me.
- 22:59SPEAKER_01: The negative ones don't like me.
- 23:01SPEAKER_01: So it's really about the human people, the ones that are scared, the ones that are willing to be disrespectful to the spirit world.
- 23:10SPEAKER_01: Um, those both of those things open up a certain kind of portal, it attracts a certain type of energy.
- 23:16SPEAKER_01: So, yeah, if you're going in there scared, if I went to the house, I would not want to go with you.
- 23:22SPEAKER_01: You automatically become a danger to be in my soul.
- 23:28SPEAKER_00: Valid.
- 23:30SPEAKER_00: Valid all the way.
- 23:32SPEAKER_01: That's the only thing I would say about that.
- 23:34SPEAKER_01: But it, you know, here's the thing Did Lizzie Borden really do it?
- 23:37SPEAKER_01: It's an unsolved mystery.
- 23:38SPEAKER_01: She was acquitted.
- 23:39SPEAKER_01: That means she may not have.
- 23:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 23:41SPEAKER_01: They didn't have the forensics to prove it or disprove it.
- 23:44SPEAKER_01: All we're really getting is what we know at the time, which is really not much, yeah, to be honest, because we didn't have forensics.
- 23:54SPEAKER_01: And so everything is speculative, and it's all focused on the fact that she's the murderer, but what if she's not?
- 24:03SPEAKER_00: That's true.
- 24:05SPEAKER_01: And it was in 1892, that was a really long time ago.
- 24:08SPEAKER_01: And honestly, the energies may not even be in the house anymore.
- 24:12SPEAKER_00: That is true.
- 24:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 24:14SPEAKER_01: So then it's just a more morbid curiosity as to what has happened in the house, which brings us back to amusement and entertainment, unless people are just curious about the unsolved.
- 24:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 24:27SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I can see that perspective.
- 24:29SPEAKER_00: Well, true, fact.
- 24:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah, the spirits probably have definitely moved on at this point.
- 24:33SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 24:34SPEAKER_00: I always feel like because they possibly died in such a horrific way that they would stay there upset about the fact that they were taken so viciously and would leave a kind of a ripple for you to experience it if you stayed long enough to experience it.
- 24:51SPEAKER_00: And I think that would be scary.
- 24:53SPEAKER_01: Some places can be haunted for a couple hundred years.
- 24:56SPEAKER_01: But what I've noticed is that when spirits usually haunt a place, like you were talking about Lizzie coming after you.
- 25:04SPEAKER_01: First of all, like I said, we don't know if she's really the murderer.
- 25:06SPEAKER_01: We could speculate and say she is.
- 25:08SPEAKER_01: It looked like it, whatever.
- 25:10SPEAKER_01: But she wasn't murdered in the house.
- 25:12SPEAKER_01: So why would she be coming after you?
- 25:14SPEAKER_01: She's just on the other side trying to kill for fun.
- 25:16SPEAKER_00: She's like, walking in my house, sleeping in my bed, sir.
- 25:18SPEAKER_00: I'm coming to back you do.
- 25:20SPEAKER_01: Done.
- 25:20SPEAKER_01: I am done.
- 25:21SPEAKER_01: I can't.
- 25:23SPEAKER_01: I so no, I'm not afraid of the murderer.
- 25:25SPEAKER_01: I'm afraid of what kind of person it would attract, possibly in that house.
- 25:31SPEAKER_01: Although it's been a long time, so yeah, I'm not I'm not so sure about that one.
- 25:35SPEAKER_01: And then um, so it would only be the victims that may be in that house.
- 25:42SPEAKER_01: And I don't I don't really think they're there.
- 25:45SPEAKER_01: Like even just me tuning into it right now, I don't feel that.
- 25:48SPEAKER_01: I don't feel like they're there.
- 25:49SPEAKER_01: Like there could be spirits there just because there's been a lot of energies in and out, um, because we're opening a portal because because we use it as entertainment, but I I don't feel like the victims stick around.
- 26:02SPEAKER_01: I definitely don't feel like they're stuck.
- 26:04SPEAKER_01: So when you when you look at from a medium perspective, when you're looking at the spirit world, unless they have a message to pass along or they are stuck, murder does not equal stuck.
- 26:18SPEAKER_00: That's true.
- 26:20SPEAKER_01: Would they even be there in the first place?
- 26:22SPEAKER_01: So a lot of times what we're dealing with when we're in a in a place like that is the energy that left got left behind, which is a negative energy.
- 26:29SPEAKER_01: That's why I wouldn't want to go in there.
- 26:31SPEAKER_01: Because what else was attracted to that space or that spot?
- 26:35SPEAKER_01: Or if there was something that like if there was, I'm just gonna go ahead and say it, if there was a possession that happened that made that person want to do that in the first place, then is it still there?
- 26:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 26:49SPEAKER_01: So that's where my that's where my like if people listen to this, I think they'd have a better understanding of why I would not want to go use that as entertainment in any way, shape, or form.
- 27:00SPEAKER_01: Oh.
- 27:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah, hell no, I wouldn't.
- 27:02SPEAKER_00: Mm-mm.
- 27:03SPEAKER_01: Woo, scary.
- 27:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 27:06SPEAKER_01: And I don't think any of the family is living at this point a hundred and plus years later, so it's not like I would be afraid of offending anybody who's alive.
- 27:14SPEAKER_01: So it's more about the energetics of that house and the fact that if I went in there, it would be like, Can I get the information on who actually did this in the first place because I don't like an unsolved mystery.
- 27:27SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 27:28SPEAKER_00: And you know what, speaking of like bringing something back, I had an idea when I worked at Macy's a long time ago to be like a ghost hunter.
- 27:36SPEAKER_00: And I was gonna go to like the most haunted places around the world or whatever.
- 27:40SPEAKER_00: Um, and I was gonna take this friend that I had met at Macy's, and he told me because of his ethnic background, like his riddle, not even his religion, because I don't think he was religious at all, but based on the like what his people taught him about going to homes with energy like that, he couldn't do it with me because he's afraid of bringing something back.
- 28:00SPEAKER_01: And I mean smart.
- 28:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I always thought the same thing because Angela said my mom said the same thing growing up as though those places would you would bring something back, and she would always say, Don't bring something back to my house by experiencing stuff like that.
- 28:12SPEAKER_00: So I I kind of understood it, but I always kind of took your perspective, especially when we did our own ghost huntings where I would cleanse my energy before I came back home and make sure to send back whatever might have followed.
- 28:25SPEAKER_01: Um, but everybody else doesn't have that, so I am going to jump into this next one that I actually didn't want to cover.
- 28:33SPEAKER_01: I don't like this one because it involves children.
- 28:35SPEAKER_01: It makes me really uncomfortable.
- 28:37SPEAKER_01: But it's called the Valeska Axe Murder House.
- 28:41SPEAKER_01: Why they called it the Axe Murder House is so rude.
- 28:44SPEAKER_01: They could have just called it the Valeska House.
- 28:47SPEAKER_01: Again, why?
- 28:48SPEAKER_01: In June of 1912, Josiah and Sarah Moore, their four children and two visiting girls were murdered with an axe while sleeping.
- 29:00SPEAKER_01: No one was convicted.
- 29:01SPEAKER_01: Again, again, the problem with unsolved mysteries is so uncomfortable.
- 29:07SPEAKER_01: And then the restored house became a historic attraction offering tours and overnight stays.
- 29:12SPEAKER_01: And of course, if you put the axe murder house, it's gonna attract people who are like, oh, people were murdered here, let's go.
- 29:18SPEAKER_01: So then it becomes a real attraction, unless you're there because you're interested in the mystery itself.
- 29:23SPEAKER_01: But what's solving it gonna do?
- 29:25SPEAKER_01: We don't even know who the potential is.
- 29:26SPEAKER_01: At least with Lizzie Borden, we can be like, okay, Lizzie actually did it.
- 29:29SPEAKER_01: There was this person who or she didn't do it, right?
- 29:32SPEAKER_01: This one, we don't even know.
- 29:33SPEAKER_01: We don't even know.
- 29:34SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no clue.
- 29:36SPEAKER_01: And and what has always disturbed me about this story, oh, I don't even want to talk about it.
- 29:41SPEAKER_01: This is so horrible.
- 29:42SPEAKER_01: But you have two visiting little girls.
- 29:44SPEAKER_01: So with the the family, if they were the only ones murdered, possibly nobody else was affected.
- 29:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I don't know about their the grandparents, I don't know if they were alive or any of that.
- 29:56SPEAKER_01: But when you you allow your children to go to somebody else's house, you expect them to be safe and protected.
- 30:03SPEAKER_01: And could you imagine that you let your children stay over somebody's house and they get taken out like that?
- 30:07SPEAKER_01: That that I feel for the parents.
- 30:09SPEAKER_01: That's that's where my pain would be is for the the parents who had to survive knowing that that happened and probably feeling some kind of guilt for letting them go.
- 30:18SPEAKER_01: That's ugly.
- 30:18SPEAKER_01: That's some ugly energy.
- 30:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah, definitely for sure.
- 30:21SPEAKER_00: It's so scary.
- 30:22SPEAKER_00: Like, how could you how could you get over something like that?
- 30:27SPEAKER_00: It just seems so incredibly heavy to lose your children in such a gruesome way.
- 30:32SPEAKER_00: My God.
- 30:33SPEAKER_01: I guess nowadays if you have healers, that makes it a little bit easier, you know.
- 30:37SPEAKER_01: Can you hear from that?
- 30:38SPEAKER_00: I don't know if I can hear from that.
- 30:39SPEAKER_00: Lord have mercy.
- 30:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you could eventually heal from that.
- 30:42SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 30:44SPEAKER_01: Especially, especially if you can connect with them.
- 30:48SPEAKER_00: That's true.
- 30:48SPEAKER_01: Because you know, mediumship just this is what I I know mediumship is real because I'm medium, but let's just say mediumship we're not real.
- 30:56SPEAKER_01: Do you know how many people have just the weight of grief come off of them by believing that they're connecting with somebody that they love?
- 31:06SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it it it helps a lot of people.
- 31:10SPEAKER_01: We're gonna be talking about that in one of our October episodes.
- 31:13SPEAKER_01: Because we have very four very special ones coming, so we get to talk about some of those stories.
- 31:19SPEAKER_01: But that um that would give me peace if I if I knew I helped somebody like that in in a situation like that.
- 31:27SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 31:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 31:28SPEAKER_00: I I guess I could say that.
- 31:29SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I I guess it would give me a little bit of peace, but I still would probably feel like I wouldn't be able to get over it.
- 31:34SPEAKER_00: But I guess I would have to go through it to know.
- 31:35SPEAKER_00: Well, no, I don't want to go through that.
- 31:36SPEAKER_00: Never mind.
- 31:37SPEAKER_00: No, no, no, no, no.
- 31:37SPEAKER_00: Cancel, cancel, cancel.
- 31:38SPEAKER_00: Oh, Jesus.
- 31:39SPEAKER_01: I yeah, cancel that one all the way, please, because I don't want to be the family member who gives You heard heck no, that's crazy.
- 31:45SPEAKER_01: Taken out because you ain't got no kids right now.
- 31:48SPEAKER_01: Uh there's a there's a guy, I want to interview him.
- 31:53SPEAKER_01: I gotta go back and find this man's name, but his both of his children got murdered.
- 31:57SPEAKER_01: Or not murdered, well, they got ran over by a car.
- 32:00SPEAKER_01: And he was just talking about how it took him out for like a year, and his kids came in and talked to him and told him basically he needed to get off his ass and go live his life, and it got rid of it just like that, just healed him.
- 32:12SPEAKER_01: He went and started living his life again.
- 32:14SPEAKER_01: So, yeah, I mean, he didn't need a medium for it.
- 32:17SPEAKER_01: He was the medium, but it's it's incredible what knowing that there's life after death, or that we never die, however you want to word it.
- 32:26SPEAKER_01: I don't think the wording matters, but how people feel what you know, you know what I'm saying?
- 32:32SPEAKER_00: Like, yeah.
- 32:33SPEAKER_00: I see, yeah, I see how it could it could relieve so much pain that you're holding on to, especially from such a loss of a part of you that you came that came from you.
- 32:42SPEAKER_00: So yeah, I guess I get I guess I could get it.
- 32:44SPEAKER_00: I could I could I could sway my perspective in the feeling of not being able to get it with some something that big.
- 32:50SPEAKER_00: But yeah, that seems that it's amazing to have the ability and also to be able to help so many people with it.
- 32:55SPEAKER_00: Um, and I'm glad that it exists so that people who are going through loss or grief or anything like that can go to one of us or someone like us to get the release they need and relief they need.
- 33:08SPEAKER_01: 100%.
- 33:09SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 33:11SPEAKER_01: Yes, yes, yes, yes.
- 33:13SPEAKER_00: Medium ship, go medium.
- 33:16SPEAKER_01: Now I'm gonna I'm gonna skip over because we have a list of these that we wanted to kind of talk about.
- 33:21SPEAKER_01: And these the ones that I'm I'm I'm talking about, we can look at the the spiritual or psychological aspect.
- 33:27SPEAKER_01: These other ones are just crazy, so we're gonna skip over those for now.
- 33:30SPEAKER_01: But I would love for you to talk about number four, the the um Museum of Death.
- 33:34SPEAKER_01: What is this?
- 33:35SPEAKER_00: Please tell me of death.
- 33:38SPEAKER_00: The Museum of Death in New Orleans presents materials related to death, crime, serial killers, funerary practices, and other macabre subjects, and it illustrate illustrates how death itself can become a central subject of a ticketed attraction.
- 33:56SPEAKER_00: Now, this one I was kind of on the fence of.
- 33:59SPEAKER_00: I know why I because I love New Orleans because Nor New Orleans is creepy central, and I feel like I feel like my soul just lives there for whatever reason.
- 34:08SPEAKER_01: So if it's in the right place for you, you're all bored.
- 34:11SPEAKER_00: Uh not really, but a little bit.
- 34:14SPEAKER_00: Contradiction is me.
- 34:15SPEAKER_01: That's what it's like.
- 34:16SPEAKER_01: It really is.
- 34:18unknown: Okay.
- 34:19SPEAKER_00: But the the death material stuff, no.
- 34:21SPEAKER_00: The serial killer stuff, no.
- 34:23SPEAKER_00: Crime, no.
- 34:24SPEAKER_00: Funerary practices, okay.
- 34:26SPEAKER_00: And the only reason I say so is because New Orleans has an incredibly rich history of funerary practices coming from slavery, the time of uh French Inquisition, um, and even before that, so much history in funerary practices and the way in which they've evolved over centuries of all of that time period of uh Creole history, um, witches, all that stuff.
- 34:53SPEAKER_00: So that okay, but everything else I don't really like, just considering how the energies that would be there and how it would, it would, I guess it would be so affecting of a person who is sensitive and people who aren't as well.
- 35:07SPEAKER_00: Um but yeah, that one I guess I'm a little bit on the fence of because there's so much magic in New Orleans and there's so much creepy and occult and uh stuff like that that I would love to see, love to visit, love to learn about, love to truly immerse myself in because there's so much history there that feels incredibly magnetic to me.
- 35:29SPEAKER_00: How do you feel?
- 35:30SPEAKER_01: I think I feel a little bit different about this one as well, especially after listening to you talk about it, because I was like, I never thought about the fact that they would the funerary practices could be really ancient and how it's changed over time.
- 35:43SPEAKER_01: I don't know because I'd have to look a little bit deeper into this, which I'd be willing to do if people wanted to hear it.
- 35:48SPEAKER_01: I do think death itself is interesting.
- 35:50SPEAKER_01: I'm not gonna lie about that.
- 35:52SPEAKER_01: Because I'm gonna tell you a story.
- 35:55SPEAKER_01: I was gonna save this for for you know one of our other episodes where we tell ghost stories, but this one's a really great one.
- 36:01SPEAKER_01: Story pie.
- 36:02SPEAKER_01: I was a psychic.
- 36:04SPEAKER_01: I don't think I had had a lot of mediumship stuff happen yet.
- 36:09SPEAKER_01: Because I was young, I was in my early, early 20s, but I was working at a psychic shop, and another one of the psychics that worked there invited me to do some ghost hunting.
- 36:18SPEAKER_01: I think it was my very first ghost hunting experience.
- 36:21SPEAKER_01: And if you know my life, you know I have about 30 stories before this story ever comes about when it comes to the hauntings and where I lived.
- 36:29SPEAKER_01: And it was at a cemetery.
- 36:32SPEAKER_01: And I remember just turning to her, and I was getting all of this psychically, but I remember just turning to her and just going, I don't know why you're here doing investigations because this is a very peaceful place.
- 36:41SPEAKER_01: It's like a park.
- 36:46SPEAKER_01: Wait, hold on.
- 36:47SPEAKER_01: I feel children.
- 36:49SPEAKER_01: Why do I feel, why do I feel kids around here?
- 36:52SPEAKER_01: And my back was to another part of the cemetery, and I'm I'm facing her, just going, I keep feeling children around here.
- 36:59SPEAKER_01: Like there's children just running over all over the place.
- 37:01SPEAKER_01: And she goes, Turn around.
- 37:03SPEAKER_01: And I turn around, and she was like, That's the children's area over there.
- 37:07SPEAKER_01: That's why you're feeling children.
- 37:08SPEAKER_01: I was like, Okay, so there are some spirits here.
- 37:10SPEAKER_01: So about a week later, I get a phone call from her, and she's like, Hey, would you be willing to come over to the house tonight?
- 37:15SPEAKER_01: And I said, sure.
- 37:16SPEAKER_01: She's like, have dinner with us.
- 37:17SPEAKER_01: And I was like, cool.
- 37:18SPEAKER_01: So me and my daughter went over there, and she was like, Come here, we got to show you something.
- 37:24SPEAKER_01: So her and her husband are sitting at their computer, and I'm like, I have no idea what they're gonna show me, and they're showing me the cemetery pictures, and I'm like, Oh, this is so cool.
- 37:32SPEAKER_01: You got some really good pictures of the cemetery, right?
- 37:35SPEAKER_01: And all of a sudden, we see on the fence two kids jumping the wall.
- 37:39SPEAKER_01: No, and I was like, There were kids there now.
- 37:43SPEAKER_01: Mind you, I'm in my 20s, never did paranormal investigation before, so you have to understand the naivete, okay?
- 37:50SPEAKER_01: I literally was like, There was kids there, I don't remember seeing them.
- 37:53SPEAKER_01: And she was like, Adrian, and they blow up the picture and she goes, Look, I said, Why are their faces so blurry?
- 38:00SPEAKER_01: And she's like, Adrian, look.
- 38:02SPEAKER_01: And I'm looking and I realize I'm looking at two spirit children, they're see-through.
- 38:07SPEAKER_01: The whole time I'm really thinking, Oh, that's why I picked up on kids because there's two kids jumping the fence.
- 38:12SPEAKER_01: I must have heard them or yet.
- 38:13SPEAKER_01: And then she's like, No, they weren't there.
- 38:16SPEAKER_01: We never saw children.
- 38:17SPEAKER_01: That's and she's like, That we took that when you started talking about hearing children.
- 38:20SPEAKER_01: That's what you were feeling.
- 38:22SPEAKER_00: That is wild and awesome.
- 38:24SPEAKER_00: I love that.
- 38:26SPEAKER_00: I thought when you said she showed you a picture, she was gonna show you a picture with kids hanging off your back.
- 38:29SPEAKER_01: Oh my goodness.
- 38:30SPEAKER_01: Well, that's a story for another day, isn't it?
- 38:35SPEAKER_01: That's a creepy story for uh some other time in in October.
- 38:41SPEAKER_01: But yeah, that it's just it's it's just that death is very interesting because we're curious about what happens after we die.
- 38:50SPEAKER_01: When we have a loved one who passes away, we want to know where they are, what's happening with the body because the body is what we're attached to.
- 38:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's really it's not just the spirit, it's that warm hug, it's the face that we recognize, like we're so attached to the meat suit that there is some kind of curiosity and wonderment about what's happening to that meat suit once the spirit is no longer available in that body.
- 39:15SPEAKER_01: I mean, it's it's I understand this to some degree.
- 39:18SPEAKER_01: This you start talking about serial killers and walking into a place where people just did it for fun.
- 39:22SPEAKER_01: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
- 39:24SPEAKER_01: But the rest of the stuff I I find, yeah, death, funerary practices.
- 39:29SPEAKER_01: I mean, I remember one time before I really looked at doing the psychic mediumship as as my you know, my destiny.
- 39:37SPEAKER_01: Um, I'm like, well, funeral.
- 39:39SPEAKER_01: You know, I can go into funeral homes and I'm glad I didn't because I hear stories now.
- 39:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that would scare the daylights out of me.
- 39:46SPEAKER_00: My why my god, somebody to uh to to rise up like Dracula off that co table, my I'm dead too.
- 39:53SPEAKER_01: I've never heard a story of that really happening, homie.
- 39:55SPEAKER_01: I think that's movies.
- 39:57SPEAKER_00: Uh-uh.
- 39:58SPEAKER_01: They twitch, they can twitch.
- 40:00SPEAKER_00: That too.
- 40:01SPEAKER_00: As soon as you see that, I'm I'm laying next to you on the table because I'm dead too now.
- 40:04SPEAKER_01: And they can groan if they, you know, if if it's you know, you got gases moving out of the body and stuff better than that.
- 40:12SPEAKER_01: Hey, far that's that's not what what scares me.
- 40:15SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they have to solve holes and stuff.
- 40:16SPEAKER_00: Oh, no, ma'am.
- 40:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 40:18SPEAKER_01: They see, and that's the part that got me.
- 40:20SPEAKER_01: So it wasn't even the fact that they might be spirit.
- 40:24SPEAKER_01: Every once in a while, I'm sure you'd have a spirit that's around, but for the most part, they're not with their bodies, they're with their loved ones.
- 40:29SPEAKER_00: So that's true.
- 40:30SPEAKER_01: I think it's a very probably a very peaceful job.
- 40:32SPEAKER_01: It's just the things that you have to do would just make me a little uncomfortable because it kind of gets gruesome when you're digging in people's bodies.
- 40:40SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, no.
- 40:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 40:43SPEAKER_01: But yeah, death curiosity is is um, I think is legit because we're all gonna go through it.
- 40:49SPEAKER_01: So it would make sense that there'd be a curiosity there.
- 40:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 40:53SPEAKER_00: And I I guess I can see the curiosity.
- 40:55SPEAKER_00: I could see how people would have that kind of morbid fascination with it.
- 40:58SPEAKER_00: Um, I guess not even morbid fascination, just a genuine curiosity, although it feels scary as hell to me.
- 41:05SPEAKER_00: Um, people love it.
- 41:08SPEAKER_00: Love, love, love it.
- 41:09SPEAKER_01: They do.
- 41:10SPEAKER_01: And there was there was literally one that we had to cover today.
- 41:14SPEAKER_01: So this is gonna be our last one.
- 41:17SPEAKER_01: We we just gotta end on this note the Amityville House.
- 41:22SPEAKER_01: Long Island, New York.
- 41:24SPEAKER_01: Okay, so here's my take.
- 41:28SPEAKER_01: This is a very nasty story, but it's also a very interesting story because what the killer said.
- 41:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah, this one fascinates me only because it was a movie.
- 41:39SPEAKER_01: So for me, it was entertainment because when I seen the movie, I didn't even know it was a real life story.
- 41:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 41:45SPEAKER_01: I was I it was a kid when this came out, I wasn't even born when this came out.
- 41:49SPEAKER_01: So when you think about that, because it was entertainment first, and then you find out it's a true story, it it it that's the reason this one is just like, yeah, this is this is pure entertainment for me, but the the the story is fascinating.
- 42:07SPEAKER_01: I I love the story around this.
- 42:09SPEAKER_01: So go for it, tell the story.
- 42:12SPEAKER_00: The story is that Ronald Defoe Jr.
- 42:16SPEAKER_00: murdered six members of his family in a house in 1974, and that later the owners George and Kathy, Lutz, reported paranormal experiences, which inspired the books and the films, and the supernatural story became far more culturally famous in the original murders.
- 42:32SPEAKER_00: But I did research on this one a little bit, and what I found out was that the person who committed the murders only brought up that it was potentially haunted or that it was it was motivated spiritually or by a supernatural entity of some sort after he was convicted of doing the murders.
- 42:52SPEAKER_00: So it it led to a lot of speculation around if it was really if it was really a supernatural thing or haunting, because it only happened, I guess, in the eyes of those prosecuting him, as a way to get out of prison time or jail or the death uh the death row.
- 43:08SPEAKER_01: I mean, was that even a possibility for him saying that?
- 43:12SPEAKER_00: What do you mean?
- 43:13SPEAKER_01: So when he committed the the murders, he gets convicted, right?
- 43:17SPEAKER_01: Did he really think he was gonna get off anyway?
- 43:19SPEAKER_01: And then when he finally said it was spiritually motivated, what would be the purpose?
- 43:23SPEAKER_01: Like, how is that gonna get you out of murder?
- 43:27SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 43:27SPEAKER_00: But back then it was kind of the time of Ed Lorraine Warren, and they were kind of debunking things and they were prolific in that time of uh debunking paranormal things, investigating it, and I I what I'm I guess speculating is that he thought that by getting them involved, it would exonerate him and he would get less time or he would get uh acquitted or whatever.
- 43:49SPEAKER_00: Um, but yeah, they investigated it and they said after he was convicted that there was some spiritual activity there, but I uh there obviously would be spiritual activity there when people were murdered so brutally.
- 44:00SPEAKER_00: So I would assume there would be.
- 44:02SPEAKER_01: Well, this is a story that fascinates me.
- 44:04SPEAKER_01: And the reason it fascinates me, again, like I said, it was a movie for me first.
- 44:08SPEAKER_01: There were people who lived in the house that they didn't experience anything.
- 44:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 44:13SPEAKER_01: So did something really happen with George and Kathy Lux, or was it a way to nowadays we call monetize, monetize an experience of buying this house?
- 44:25SPEAKER_01: Which I mean, honestly, when you see the way it went, it would be a really great um business idea.
- 44:32SPEAKER_01: Like you can't fault them for that.
- 44:34SPEAKER_01: Buy a house and and sell books and movies on it.
- 44:37SPEAKER_01: They say they experience stuff, and then you have other people who say they absolutely they live there and never experience anything.
- 44:42SPEAKER_01: But what gets me about this story?
- 44:45SPEAKER_01: What gets me, and where you actually have to think, was it paranormal or not, unless someone has an alternative, which I have not heard yet.
- 44:53SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 44:53SPEAKER_01: Unless he drugged his family members, how did he go around and shoot every member in their bed?
- 45:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 45:01SPEAKER_01: Without them, without them waking up.
- 45:03SPEAKER_01: Because I'm I'm sitting here and I'm thinking, again, I I would love to be a detective.
- 45:08SPEAKER_01: I'm not great at it, but there you go.
- 45:10SPEAKER_01: I would love to I would love to find the answers to this.
- 45:16SPEAKER_01: But I don't I don't feel anything around to ask.
- 45:18SPEAKER_01: You see what I'm saying?
- 45:19SPEAKER_01: So that it's not like I can dig in and be like, hey, you guys, what happened?
- 45:23SPEAKER_01: In this one, I'm like, did he drug them?
- 45:25SPEAKER_01: Or did he, you know, when they they got out of the bed, if somebody got out of the bed, he pulled a gun on them, told them to get back in the bed and then killed them.
- 45:32SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 45:33SPEAKER_01: But how would you do that with that many people?
- 45:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and somebody would get out.
- 45:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and the gun he used was apparently uh a rifle, I think, and they're super, super loud, so it doesn't make a lot of sense to me either.
- 45:45SPEAKER_01: And then I I'm curious, like in 1974, did they and could they test their blood for drugs to see if they were drugged?
- 45:55SPEAKER_00: Mmm.
- 45:56SPEAKER_00: I wonder if that technology existed yet at that point, like drug testing or whatever.
- 46:01SPEAKER_00: Because I'd wonder that too.
- 46:02SPEAKER_00: Because I would have woke up and jumped out the window or something, because that is crazy.
- 46:06SPEAKER_00: I ain't getting shot in the middle of the night.
- 46:08SPEAKER_01: That's the one thing that lends to supernatural for me, that it's the potential is there.
- 46:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 46:14SPEAKER_01: The potential is there.
- 46:15SPEAKER_00: And then also in the movies, they kind of hinted that it was a mortuary in the past, and that was kind of like the reasoning as to why it was haunted or had a powerful evil spirit there is because it had so much death that passed through it, which amplified the man's, I guess, drive to do murder.
- 46:35SPEAKER_00: Um, so I would want to research that too to see if there actually was a mortuary in in the but the basement of the house and if there really was a passing through of so much death.
- 46:47SPEAKER_01: I mean, you could look that up right now and tell us what here with the Amityville house, it I don't know.
- 46:57SPEAKER_01: That one's just really interesting because I think that it could have that paranormal element.
- 47:01SPEAKER_01: And here's why.
- 47:02SPEAKER_01: Just again, this is just speculation from a spiritual perspective.
- 47:07SPEAKER_01: Spirits could prey on people who already have an inkling.
- 47:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 47:15SPEAKER_01: So I will give you an example.
- 47:16SPEAKER_01: Let's say you want to uh unalive yourself.
- 47:22SPEAKER_01: A spirit could attach themselves to that little idea that you have and make it bigger.
- 47:28SPEAKER_01: So maybe it's not something you would ever do.
- 47:30SPEAKER_01: And then because you have that you still have the curiosity, you still have the the somewhat desire, they can actually explode that and make that be something that you do.
- 47:41SPEAKER_01: If you've thought about maybe, especially like it, let's say you were abused and you thought about taking somebody in your family out because you don't want to be abused anymore, you may not actually ever act on that thing.
- 47:53SPEAKER_01: But if you have the thought, if you have the feelings that are there that can be explored and kind of blown up, they will do it.
- 48:00SPEAKER_01: They will do it.
- 48:01SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 48:02SPEAKER_01: And so they're is this man and did he have the potential for it anyways?
- 48:11SPEAKER_02: Mm-hmm.
- 48:13SPEAKER_01: See, you see where I'm going with this?
- 48:15SPEAKER_01: Like he could have ended up doing something like this without necessarily the connection, although I find that very rare.
- 48:25SPEAKER_01: Because there are things that want to pre they they they want to prey on people like that.
- 48:30SPEAKER_00: So yeah, and I just looked it up right now that there was no mortuary at the Emmityville house, but there was a myth that was passed around that it was buried on top of a sanitarium or Indian burial ground.
- 48:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I mean, they you once you get the story going, you spin all kinds of stuff.
- 48:50SPEAKER_01: I didn't think there was a a funeral home there.
- 48:53SPEAKER_00: They that life spread around so much that the the uh the the natives that lived there were like we didn't even live there, sir.
- 48:59SPEAKER_00: Or the lady the natives that didn't even live there were like we weren't even in that area, so keep us out of it.
- 49:04SPEAKER_01: I mean, we that lends to the idea that we do like to sensationalize things.
- 49:10SPEAKER_01: We like the spooky, we like the unknown.
- 49:12SPEAKER_01: I guess some people actually like the idea that something is is unresolved, unexplored, unsolved.
- 49:19SPEAKER_01: That just drives me crazy.
- 49:20SPEAKER_01: I just want to solve it at that point.
- 49:22SPEAKER_01: I I would actually like a resolution to some of these stories.
- 49:25SPEAKER_01: All right, so so what's the miracle in this?
- 49:30SPEAKER_01: Huh?
- 49:31SPEAKER_01: What's the miracle in this?
- 49:32SPEAKER_01: Can you think of one?
- 49:34SPEAKER_01: Huh?
- 49:36SPEAKER_01: If you can't, I got it, I got a ton of them.
- 49:40SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 49:41SPEAKER_00: I I guess I don't know.
- 49:44SPEAKER_00: I guess the miracle oh, okay.
- 49:45SPEAKER_00: I guess I can say this.
- 49:46SPEAKER_00: The miracle I think in this is the miracle of having access to mediumship, connecting with the past on peoples.
- 49:56SPEAKER_01: Uh for me.
- 49:57SPEAKER_01: Oh I mean, I'll I'll tell you a little bit about it again sometime this month, but I have clients who have had people who were murdered.
- 50:06SPEAKER_00: Oh, damn.
- 50:07SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 50:07SPEAKER_01: The miracle for me is to be able to connect, even though I can't connect enough to solve some of these.
- 50:13SPEAKER_01: I have helped the police before, so that's that's really awesome.
- 50:17SPEAKER_00: Oh, so you already are a detective.
- 50:19SPEAKER_01: Well, the the police officer told me he said I I use psychics a lot.
- 50:23SPEAKER_01: And he says generally they won't give you the exact answer, but they give you enough to understand where to start looking, and we start solving the cases that way.
- 50:32SPEAKER_01: So, um, and sometimes you can like the spirit will come in and actually tell you exactly you know what happened and and who did it and history of people spirit solving their own murder.
- 50:43SPEAKER_01: So there's there's a miracle in that for me that we are able to connect people because there is such a it's such a mystery between birth and death.
- 50:56SPEAKER_01: I mean, for that, you know, however long you're alive, 70, 80, 90 years, there's a mystery for that long about life and death.
- 51:05SPEAKER_01: And in a way, we get to help eliminate some of that mystery.
- 51:10SPEAKER_01: And that's what I love when I do have spirits come in who want to relay a message or they want to help with the healing aspect, and somebody's loved one comes in and actually helps them with the next phase.
- 51:24SPEAKER_01: The beauty of that is that the mystery is gone now, and that yeah, we're still connected, and yeah, I knew that was my dad, or yeah, I knew that was my mom that came through, and I have no doubt about it.
- 51:34SPEAKER_01: Like that's that is a miracle to be able to do that this work and that it's not always a mystery, and that it's not always gonna be a mystery, and that we get to see our loved ones again if you believe in that.
- 51:46SPEAKER_00: So I love that.
- 51:48SPEAKER_01: That's awesome, that's beautiful.
- 51:50SPEAKER_01: And maybe there's some kind of miracle in the fact that they're opening these crazy places up.
- 51:54SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 51:55SPEAKER_01: I'm not gonna pretend to know everything and all things spiritual.
- 51:59SPEAKER_01: I just know that that's I I don't feel like that's where my energy would want to go, going around these houses and putting myself in this energy.
- 52:07SPEAKER_01: But there may be an actual miracle in this situation.
- 52:11SPEAKER_01: So if anybody out there knows the miracle of why these places are open and about all these people who are going to visit, let us know because we love miracles here at uh making miracles happen.
- 52:30SPEAKER_02: Let's make miracles happen.
