Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Here's your most Alex darn well.
- 0:09Speaker 2: If you were to tell me on Saturday night, April
- 0:12Speaker 2: twenty fifth, after a very important Nick win to tie
- 0:19Speaker 2: up the series, that we'd be having to talk about
- 0:23Speaker 2: a fourth assassination attempt on President Trump, I would have
- 0:27Speaker 2: thought that's six point thirty no way. But earlier tonight,
- 0:34Speaker 2: thank god, the secrets that I ever stepped in. But
- 0:37Speaker 2: a maniac started shooting up at the Hilton d C
- 0:41Speaker 2: where the White House Correspondent Center was supposed to be.
- 0:45Speaker 2: And in his first term, President Trump never got invited
- 0:49Speaker 2: to the dinner, so it's interesting he was invited this
- 0:53Speaker 2: time around. But the letter that went out this week
- 1:00Speaker 2: from veteran journalists, I don't know when you're tell the
- 1:04Speaker 2: people to protest against Trump, maniacs are going to look
- 1:08Speaker 2: at that a certain way.
- 1:10Speaker 1: And I'm not gonna blame Dan.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Rather and Sam Donaldson or in their eighties and nineties,
- 1:14Speaker 2: but that kind of rhetoric, even a letter, could just.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Drive someone and go crazy like that.
- 1:23Speaker 2: So a thirty one year old Caltech grad subdued, apprehended
- 1:29Speaker 2: in custody after President Trump was for all intensive purposes
- 1:36Speaker 2: silenced tonight from speaking his mind at the White House correspondents.
- 1:40Speaker 2: There's no way else you can look at it. He's
- 1:42Speaker 2: alive to talk about it and play that. But he
- 1:46Speaker 2: was silenced tonight by horrible and vile and violent person
- 1:58Speaker 2: with a hate filled part. But I don't know if
- 2:02Speaker 2: you caught his press conference just a little while ago.
- 2:04Speaker 2: I want to play you the.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Q and A session.
- 2:06Speaker 2: There were a couple of moments that I thought were
- 2:09Speaker 2: really important to relate to you.
- 2:11Speaker 1: You're one look of alex Media on this breaking news edition.
- 2:17Speaker 3: Okay, a couple and then we're killing that. Madam. I
- 2:24Speaker 3: just have to say, you've been a fantastic What if
- 2:27Speaker 3: one aful of them and we're going to do that.
- 2:34Speaker 3: It's very tough for her to ask question, but you
- 2:37Speaker 3: have been a fantastic as you mentioned, and especially because
- 2:48Speaker 3: unfortunately you have experience with these.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Sort that between when you realize that in service agent were.
- 2:58Speaker 1: Telling hard to get down down Just why, uh what
- 3:02Speaker 1: was going through in my mind? How you were like
- 3:03Speaker 1: feeling in that moment.
- 3:05Speaker 3: That's very good question. Actually I was, Uh, it's always
- 3:08Speaker 3: shocking when something like this happens. Happened to me a
- 3:12Speaker 3: little bit, and uh that never changes. Uh, the fact
- 3:17Speaker 3: we were sitting right next to each other. First, lady
- 3:20Speaker 3: am I right, And I heard a noise and sort
- 3:24Speaker 3: of thought it was a tray. I thought it was
- 3:26Speaker 3: a tray going down. I've heard that many times, and
- 3:29Speaker 3: it was pretty loud noise, and it was from quite
- 3:32Speaker 3: far away. He hadn't breached the area at all. They
- 3:36Speaker 3: really got him, but uh so it was quite far away.
- 3:39Speaker 3: But it was a gun and some people, uh really
- 3:44Speaker 3: understood that pretty quickly.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Other people didn't.
- 3:46Speaker 3: I was watching to see what was happening. Probably should
- 3:50Speaker 3: have gone down even faster. Uh. Milania was very cognizant,
- 3:54Speaker 3: I think of what happened. I think she knew immediately
- 3:57Speaker 3: what happened. She was saying, it's a bad noise. And
- 4:04Speaker 3: we were whisked away along with other people. But we
- 4:08Speaker 3: were really whisked away. And again the performance of the
- 4:11Speaker 3: Secret Service and the police, all of the law enforce
- 4:14Speaker 3: breath it was really good. So it was very quick.
- 4:17Speaker 3: There was a lot of time to be thinking because
- 4:19Speaker 3: it was a matter of seconds before we were out
- 4:21Speaker 3: the door and gone into an area. We very much
- 4:25Speaker 3: and you wanted to too. We very much wanted to continue
- 4:28Speaker 3: it because I don't like to let these sick people,
- 4:31Speaker 3: these thugs, these horrible, horrible people, change the fabric of
- 4:35Speaker 3: our life, change the course of what we do.
- 4:38Speaker 1: So we held out. You were there.
- 4:40Speaker 3: We held out right till the end, but they didn't
- 4:42Speaker 3: want to take a chance. And I understand it was protocol.
- 4:45Speaker 3: But we're going to be doing one, hopefully within the
- 4:48Speaker 3: next thirty days or sooner. And I am ready willing
- 4:51Speaker 3: and able, and I was all set to really rip it.
- 4:56Speaker 3: And I said to my people, this would be the
- 4:58Speaker 3: most inappropriate speech ever made. And if I said so,
- 5:01Speaker 3: I have to save it. I don't know if I
- 5:02Speaker 3: could ever be as rough as I was going to
- 5:05Speaker 3: be tonight. I think I'm going to be probably very nice.
- 5:07Speaker 3: I'll be very boring the next time. But we're gonna
- 5:10Speaker 3: have a great event. And you did a fantastic job.
- 5:12Speaker 3: Thank you very much, Peter, Thank.
- 5:14Speaker 1: You President Trump.
- 5:15Speaker 4: There's a report in the New York Post that this
- 5:18Speaker 4: assailant assembled his weapon somewhere on site at the hotel.
- 5:24Speaker 4: What do you think about that? And I asked, respectfully,
- 5:29Speaker 4: why do you think this keeps happening to you?
- 5:33Speaker 3: Well, you know I've studied assassinations, and I must tell
- 5:40Speaker 3: you the most impactful people, the people that do the most.
- 5:44Speaker 3: You take a look at the people Abraham Lincoln. I mean,
- 5:47Speaker 3: you go through the people that have gone through this
- 5:50Speaker 3: where they got them. But the people that do the most,
- 5:54Speaker 3: the people that make the biggest impact, they're the ones
- 5:58Speaker 3: that they go after. We don't go after the ones
- 6:01Speaker 3: that don't do much because they like it that way.
- 6:04Speaker 3: And when you look at the people that have either
- 6:08Speaker 3: whether it was an attempt or a successful attempt, and
- 6:11Speaker 3: they're very impactful people.
- 6:13Speaker 1: Just take a look at.
- 6:14Speaker 3: The names there, the big names, and I hate to
- 6:18Speaker 3: say I'm honored by that, but I've done a lot.
- 6:21Speaker 1: We've done a lot.
- 6:22Speaker 2: We have.
- 6:23Speaker 3: We've taken this country and we were laughing stock for
- 6:27Speaker 3: years and now with the hottest country anywhere in the world.
- 6:29Speaker 3: We've changed his country. And there are a lot of
- 6:33Speaker 3: people that are not happy about that.
- 6:34Speaker 1: So I think that's the answer.
- 6:36Speaker 4: Peter Ather Butler, your team for a while rethought outdoor events. Yeah,
- 6:41Speaker 4: do you think that you now need to rethink wor well.
- 6:43Speaker 1: But then you just don't do events. Now.
- 6:45Speaker 3: I can't do that.
- 6:46Speaker 1: I have to what it.
- 6:47Speaker 3: You know, it is what it is.
- 6:48Speaker 1: We have to do it. The room was very very secure.
- 6:52Speaker 3: You know, he charged from fifty yards away, so he
- 6:54Speaker 3: was very far away from the room.
- 6:56Speaker 4: And once you think when he saw the video of
- 6:57Speaker 4: how fast he.
- 6:58Speaker 3: Was going, he was moving, he was really moving and
- 7:02Speaker 3: the reaction time was great. Boy, those guys they had
- 7:04Speaker 3: their guns run literally by the time he was there.
- 7:07Speaker 1: They were shooting.
- 7:09Speaker 3: They were I thought they were very impressive. I thought
- 7:12Speaker 3: they were very impressive. And if I didn't, i'd let
- 7:14Speaker 3: you know. You know, I'm not going to be I
- 7:17Speaker 3: would not say it for that. No, I thought they were.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Very impressive for updating us earlier. I wanted to.
- 7:26Speaker 2: Highlight was when he said, we're not going to let
- 7:29Speaker 2: these ticcos destroy our fabric. And I know he'll get
- 7:34Speaker 2: back out there. In fact, I bet he's gonna have
- 7:38Speaker 2: this dinner on his birthday. I think that's what he's
- 7:39Speaker 2: going to plan. I think there's something to that he says,
- 7:43Speaker 2: thirty days, but maybe break a little tradition with the
- 7:47Speaker 2: White House correspondsent make it on your birthday and show
- 7:50Speaker 2: the world you're still here. You're you are alive, you
- 7:55Speaker 2: are here to lead whether you like it or not.
- 7:58Speaker 1: World, He's still here.
- 8:00Speaker 2: And as far as the four Times it's a threat
- 8:09Speaker 2: to free speech and it's chilling. It's chilling that to
- 8:14Speaker 2: Night Hanna be canceled. Someone said, well, the objective wasn't met,
- 8:21Speaker 2: and I would argue the objective to silence Trump was
- 8:25Speaker 2: met because he didn't get to do his speech, he
- 8:28Speaker 2: didn't get to rail on the meeting, he didn't get
- 8:30Speaker 2: to be who he wanted to be tonight. And you know,
- 8:35Speaker 2: as he was talking about this, and it hit me,
- 8:40Speaker 2: I RAN's been behind this a few times. Did they
- 8:44Speaker 2: plant this guy again? How did it slip through? I mean,
- 8:50Speaker 2: he was loading his gun in the hotel. Someone's gonna
- 8:54Speaker 2: have to face consequence for that, because you can't just
- 8:58Speaker 2: be okay that someone brought a gun to where the
- 9:01Speaker 2: President of United States is.
- 9:04Speaker 1: And still have a job.
- 9:06Speaker 2: And I'll tell you, Cash looked very nervous up there tonight.
- 9:12Speaker 2: Did they drop the ball at the FBI on this
- 9:14Speaker 2: with their tips? Something up there? I mean, look, he's
- 9:18Speaker 2: already made changes with the AHS, with the Navy now
- 9:26Speaker 2: and with Attorney General.
- 9:29Speaker 1: He could make that next change, and that's been rumored
- 9:31Speaker 1: for a while.
- 9:32Speaker 2: There was a poll out already saying that Cash were
- 9:34Speaker 2: not baked till June which could be true.
- 9:40Speaker 1: But this should not be a moment of joy for anybody.
- 9:49Speaker 1: This is a silent, a silencing. The moment of joy
- 9:53Speaker 1: is that he's still here and.
- 9:54Speaker 2: The cabinet still here, and actually the miracle as no
- 9:57Speaker 2: one got seriously injured build by this, meaning that's the
- 10:02Speaker 2: real celebration.
- 10:03Speaker 1: But you can't be happy that this is the fourth
- 10:05Speaker 1: attenth on his life.
- 10:08Speaker 2: And if you are happy with it, you're a sick person,
- 10:12Speaker 2: and beyond sickness, you have hate.
- 10:13Speaker 1: If you're happy that he was targeted again.
- 10:21Speaker 2: I thought tonight was just going to be a regular
- 10:24Speaker 2: fun evening, and it's the second time for me I've
- 10:29Speaker 2: been in a sporting event and the president, well the
- 10:33Speaker 2: former present at the time, the President Trump has had
- 10:36Speaker 2: his life threatened. If you remember the story, I was
- 10:40Speaker 2: calling a game out in Long Island for baseball in
- 10:42Speaker 2: July thirteenth, twenty twenty four. I can't believe it's that
- 10:47Speaker 2: long ago, in those two years, and of course we'll
- 10:51Speaker 2: get what lurks that the present was shot at, and
- 10:57Speaker 2: it's like, what.
- 11:02Speaker 1: But this letter, these comments, I agree.
- 11:06Speaker 2: With some of my friends say this is all incited,
- 11:10Speaker 2: and it is, and it is, and I hope.
- 11:18Speaker 1: The other side heeds Trump's call to tone down the
- 11:23Speaker 1: rhetoric that wasn't directed to the Democrats. I don't know what,
- 11:29Speaker 1: but they are even through this letter.
- 11:32Speaker 2: And look, it makes you wonder why they invited Trump
- 11:38Speaker 2: to begin with it just.
- 11:43Speaker 1: It could look like an honor, but.
- 11:45Speaker 2: The White House Correspondence Association never invited him before. It
- 11:48Speaker 2: was very odd that he even was invited, because that's
- 11:52Speaker 2: never happened. And even though this letter went out, I
- 11:56Speaker 2: think everybody thought, well, that's just a letter.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Nothing can come of it. Nothing should have come of it.
- 12:06Speaker 1: There should have been a fun night where he just
- 12:10Speaker 1: rips him apart and says this, that and the other
- 12:13Speaker 1: and whatever. Instead it's another threat and another.
- 12:26Speaker 2: Attempt, and it has me wondering because he keeps saying
- 12:35Speaker 2: he's okay, he's gonna be fine, But four attempts in
- 12:40Speaker 2: and I hope he doesn't, but it has me wondering
- 12:45Speaker 2: what happens if the midterms don't go his way and
- 12:48Speaker 2: the Democrats win, and then the next two years gonna
- 12:51Speaker 2: be even more What's gonna happen then? Will he pushed through?
- 12:56Speaker 1: I think he can. I hope he does.
- 13:00Speaker 2: But he says he's not concerned about it, but it
- 13:03Speaker 2: has to weigh on his mind.
- 13:05Speaker 1: And it's true to see him.
- 13:07Speaker 2: Crawling like that is just that for seventy nine seventy
- 13:10Speaker 2: nine or so eighty year old, pretty impressive.
- 13:17Speaker 1: And I think the other thing I'm upset is.
- 13:21Speaker 2: He's used to this now, and he shouldn't have to
- 13:23Speaker 2: be used to feeling under threat all the time. But
- 13:30Speaker 2: there's this drumming up that happens against him, and it
- 13:36Speaker 2: reared its ugly head again. But he kept saying how
- 13:41Speaker 2: sick this guy was, And sure, loading a rifle in
- 13:44Speaker 2: the hotel is sick, that's the sick part.
- 13:49Speaker 1: But I think it's more hate, the hate that has
- 13:53Speaker 1: been sown for him, That's what it is.
- 14:01Speaker 2: There is a sickness, but there's also a hatred, which
- 14:03Speaker 2: I think people don't ever want to address it these things.
- 14:08Speaker 2: It takes hate in someone's heart to load up a
- 14:10Speaker 2: rifle in any scenario, in any killing. That's hatred more
- 14:19Speaker 2: than sickness in my view, because the person is responsible
- 14:31Speaker 2: for loading that gun and shooting it, and they have
- 14:34Speaker 2: hate more so than the object itself that they try
- 14:40Speaker 2: and control.
- 14:43Speaker 1: That there's just there's a lot of.
- 14:45Speaker 2: Hay and you could say, well, Trump's true, but not
- 14:48Speaker 2: to that extent of take your rifle. So I alos
- 14:51Speaker 2: corresponds to her an attempt at putting on. That's not
- 14:56Speaker 2: Trump's doing, but it has been wondering who this.
- 15:02Speaker 1: Guy worked for. And that's incredible.
- 15:07Speaker 2: They didn't actually shoot him dead, because I thought that
- 15:09Speaker 2: was gonna be the case.
- 15:09Speaker 1: But they do him, they apprehend him. He's in custody.
- 15:14Speaker 1: I'm kind of in a sense, I'm glad that he's
- 15:17Speaker 1: in custody because we need answers, and where he did.
- 15:19Speaker 1: We never got answers from crooks who paid him to
- 15:22Speaker 1: shoot Trump, Butler Pencilvanya, we never got that answer.
- 15:28Speaker 2: And then, of course you have the other attempt by
- 15:31Speaker 2: the golf course, where where that one.
- 15:34Speaker 1: Was staying there for hours and stalking the area and
- 15:39Speaker 1: waiting for.
- 15:40Speaker 2: Him to be the exact moment. Thank god a secret
- 15:42Speaker 2: service guy was alert there too.
- 15:46Speaker 1: He's in jail. I'm sure this guy's be throwing the book.
- 15:50Speaker 1: You better be throwing the book. But let's talk about
- 15:56Speaker 1: this from a.
- 15:59Speaker 2: Selling of hate perspective and not so much the sick perspective,
- 16:03Speaker 2: because I think mentally ill is what I started Hangingion Turnpike,
- 16:08Speaker 2: a woman screaming out of nowhere, that's mentally ill.
- 16:12Speaker 1: This is hate.
- 16:14Speaker 2: This is acting on hate, and if neither side wants
- 16:21Speaker 2: to fix that part of.
- 16:22Speaker 1: Politics, unfortunately more will happen. But it's not just sickness.
- 16:28Speaker 1: There is hatred that rear exec ahead tonight.
- 16:33Speaker 2: Hate for what this man says, Hey, for the fact
- 16:36Speaker 2: that he wants to clean up these other countries, hate
- 16:41Speaker 2: for them. Whatever the media says about him.
- 16:47Speaker 1: That's not always true. It's more than just sickness. It's
- 16:54Speaker 1: after him. It's a hate that I think he can
- 16:59Speaker 1: say unost he wants.
- 17:00Speaker 2: It's under the Democrats and even the media to what
- 17:02Speaker 2: extent to subside, but they never do.
- 17:08Speaker 1: But they never do. It's always he did this wrong
- 17:13Speaker 1: or that wrong.
- 17:15Speaker 2: And we can all say he doesn't always help him
- 17:17Speaker 2: help his case in the understanding department, but.
- 17:23Speaker 1: He never deserves. This attends on his life four times
- 17:29Speaker 1: in now. But I'm going to make a prediction.
- 17:35Speaker 5: That if he does lose the midterms, I just think,
- 17:44Speaker 5: and call me crazy.
- 17:46Speaker 2: I think he designs. I think tonight he's sounding stoic
- 17:51Speaker 2: and everything, but I think it got to him.
- 17:54Speaker 1: It sounded like it got to him. So that's my
- 17:58Speaker 1: thought of he doesn't win the midterms, we might see
- 18:00Speaker 1: a present.
- 18:03Speaker 2: For two years. Could be wrong, could be could be
- 18:09Speaker 2: off based on.
- 18:10Speaker 1: That, but.
- 18:12Speaker 2: Just this feel of how he was talking tonight, saying
- 18:16Speaker 2: it's a dangerous profession, saying comes with the job.
- 18:23Speaker 1: Seeing how Malaney was so shook up. I mean, that's
- 18:25Speaker 1: gotta affect him. That's got to affect him.
- 18:33Speaker 2: But I hope he doesn't resign because that wouldn't mean
- 18:35Speaker 2: the Democrats won, right, That would mean the Democrats ultimate
- 18:38Speaker 2: gold of silencing him one and then we can't let
- 18:40Speaker 2: that happen because then we let a democracy and free
- 18:47Speaker 2: speech resilence. It's just a hunch that we have to
- 18:57Speaker 2: now see how the midterms go and see where his
- 19:00Speaker 2: mind is that with all this after the mid terms.
- 19:05Speaker 1: As far as tonight, I hope were rescheduled. The first
- 19:07Speaker 1: birthday and this what do they call it? It's not
- 19:18Speaker 1: a coup, but it's like a I can't think of
- 19:23Speaker 1: the name. But it is.
- 19:24Speaker 2: Back and forth between Trump and the media, even though
- 19:28Speaker 2: they were all in the same room. Even they were
- 19:31Speaker 2: all in the same room, I can't see them actually
- 19:37Speaker 2: getting along for very.
- 19:39Speaker 1: Long in the next few days.
- 19:41Speaker 2: It might last a couple of days, because yes, they
- 19:43Speaker 2: all had a shared experience.
- 19:46Speaker 1: Being onder the tables, fearing for their lives, all in
- 19:50Speaker 1: that room.
- 19:55Speaker 2: And maybe if there is some self reflection, they can
- 20:03Speaker 2: cool the rhetoric down, and same with the Democrats, and
- 20:16Speaker 2: they can cool the rhetoric down, then there will be
- 20:18Speaker 2: some piece.
- 20:21Speaker 1: Of mine. Until then the sewing will continue. And it's
- 20:29Speaker 1: it's unnerving that in my lifetime I've now seen a
- 20:33Speaker 1: present I have his life.
- 20:38Speaker 2: Threatened four times. The third time was outside mar Alago.
- 20:43Speaker 2: For him four times, that's unacceptable, and.
- 20:53Speaker 1: I put that on the media and the Dems. I'm
- 20:56Speaker 1: sorry I do. You could say Trump says the.
- 21:01Speaker 2: Strangest, craziest crap, and it's true he does say some
- 21:04Speaker 2: wild stuff, but not to the level of asking for this.
- 21:17Speaker 1: That's the kick them when they're low.
- 21:22Speaker 2: Maximum water type of comments that drive people to do this,
- 21:30Speaker 2: not the other side. Thank god, everybody is safe. Thank
- 21:38Speaker 2: God no one got hurt. Let's not lose sight of
- 21:42Speaker 2: the bigger picture of that speech was silenced tonight, the
- 21:49Speaker 2: very free speech the media claims Trump tries to hinder.
- 21:58Speaker 1: Whoa It's gonna be a learning lesson at what you
- 22:05Speaker 1: write and what you put out there.
- 22:09Speaker 2: As a leader of legal party or a journalist, could
- 22:18Speaker 2: could do this to somebody and make them on a
- 22:21Speaker 2: load of.
- 22:21Speaker 1: A writer because what they're reading is hate, not so
- 22:26Speaker 1: much truth.
- 22:28Speaker 2: That's why I want to give you the presents words directly,
- 22:30Speaker 2: because I believe you deserve to hear them on a
- 22:34Speaker 2: nightlight tonight. It is incredible at the energy at Madison
- 22:41Speaker 2: Square Garden. I don't think anybody knew what was going
- 22:46Speaker 2: on in DC. I'm so plugged in. It's just amazing
- 22:55Speaker 2: to me that I was. I felt like the only
