- 0:01Speaker 1: All Star Toyota presents Off the Bench with Jacob Hester
- 0:04Speaker 1: and Matt Flynn.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Okay, here we go where.
- 0:07Speaker 1: The plays get broken down and science gets denied to
- 0:10Speaker 1: come off the bench. Hour two of Off the Bench
- 0:13Speaker 1: Live from the Raising Kine Studio.
- 0:46Speaker 3: Welcome back in our number two here on a Thursday
- 0:49Speaker 3: edition of Off the Bench. Guys, we got us an update.
- 0:52Speaker 3: We left the studio for our number one. Send a
- 0:54Speaker 3: text saying I said, h'mb a you up text the
- 0:57Speaker 3: guys we hear. The response I got was we're on
- 1:00Speaker 3: the way. We're hurrying. I think they're in the hallway
- 1:03Speaker 3: right now, changing into their Halloween caush, it's not them. Okay,
- 1:07Speaker 3: never mind, somebody we are rumbling. There was a disturbance
- 1:10Speaker 3: in the hallway. Landra went to go check it out.
- 1:13Speaker 3: I was too scared. I sent her to go do it.
- 1:16Speaker 3: But look, we are rocking and rolling here in hour
- 1:17Speaker 3: number two. If you're just tuned in on YouTube, it's
- 1:20Speaker 3: it's Halloween dress up day. You're on off the Bench
- 1:22Speaker 3: because Jake and Matt obviously over remote every Friday at rouses.
- 1:26Speaker 4: I'm Jason, here's the mask.
- 1:28Speaker 3: Uh, you know, and maybe maybe maybe during the Munchie segment.
- 1:31Speaker 3: I'll put it on when we're not talking so much.
- 1:33Speaker 5: Uh, someone was wondering if that's real or fake blood
- 1:36Speaker 5: on your shirt?
- 1:38Speaker 4: Why would I give Why would I give that information out?
- 1:41Speaker 4: Why would I not it's fake blood?
- 1:43Speaker 5: Did I already what the people want to know?
- 1:45Speaker 4: Did I already have it at home? Yes?
- 1:48Speaker 3: I did not have to go buy anything that I
- 1:51Speaker 3: have on today. I already had fake blood. Why did
- 1:53Speaker 3: I have fake blood?
- 1:54Speaker 2: Well?
- 1:55Speaker 3: I love Halloween and we dress up every year for
- 1:57Speaker 3: my family's Halloween party.
- 2:00Speaker 4: Also, they were lacking this year. First, You'll love this
- 2:04Speaker 4: a lot real.
- 2:05Speaker 5: Quick because I just thought of it.
- 2:06Speaker 6: It was funny, like I walked out there and it's
- 2:08Speaker 6: Taylor Reina, who works in sales, and then Kate wasn't
- 2:11Speaker 6: who I'm sure I don't know who Kate is. I
- 2:14Speaker 6: walk out there and they're like talking, and I just
- 2:16Speaker 6: peeked out and they looked at me like what.
- 2:20Speaker 5: I was like, where I'm in my Halloween costume? I
- 2:22Speaker 5: don't know.
- 2:23Speaker 3: It's better than them looking at you like, oh, that's
- 2:25Speaker 3: totally normal, right, she does this so for Halloween, I mean,
- 2:33Speaker 3: we by far had the best costume, but in our
- 2:35Speaker 3: credit we put the most effort into it.
- 2:37Speaker 4: Sister sends us a text a week before she was
- 2:39Speaker 4: in New York.
- 2:40Speaker 3: Guys, we we we didn't. We didn't dress off this year.
- 2:43Speaker 3: I'm like, okay, my parents had.
- 2:46Speaker 5: She told me she wasn't gonna dress up, and that.
- 2:48Speaker 3: Was true, by the way, Like she did not and
- 2:52Speaker 3: my parents had a great costume. It was my dad
- 2:57Speaker 3: was Bill Belichick, your mom was Jordan.
- 3:00Speaker 4: My mom was Jordan. Here's the problem. My dad had
- 3:05Speaker 4: to work late that night, so your mom was just Jordan.
- 3:08Speaker 3: My mom showed up dressed this Jordan with no Bill Belichick,
- 3:14Speaker 3: so she just had like a black wig onto the
- 3:16Speaker 3: sparkly dress.
- 3:17Speaker 4: She's like, Bill Belichick was supposed to be here, but
- 3:19Speaker 4: he's not.
- 3:20Speaker 3: It was objectively really funny. But yeah, didn't go quite
- 3:25Speaker 3: according to plan. But uh no, we did great.
- 3:27Speaker 5: We had the I'm disappointed in the Sharp family.
- 3:30Speaker 3: This year is a little bit rough. Like my sister
- 3:32Speaker 3: just got back from VAK. Dad found out he had
- 3:34Speaker 3: well we in fairness, we moved the party. So it
- 3:38Speaker 3: was supposed to be this Friday night on Halloween. We
- 3:42Speaker 3: moved it to Sunday, so his work schedule got kind
- 3:45Speaker 3: of screwed up. He wasn't sure when he was supposed
- 3:46Speaker 3: to be off. My sister had just gotten back in
- 3:48Speaker 3: from vacation like four days before, so I mean, I
- 3:51Speaker 3: get it. I had to get painted for about an
- 3:55Speaker 3: hour and a half. That took about an hour and
- 3:56Speaker 3: a half to get done. But look today, Jason over here,
- 4:00Speaker 3: we got Mia Wallace or Mina Kime. I haven't figured
- 4:03Speaker 3: out which one she is. I think it's Mia Wallace
- 4:06Speaker 3: because she is. I was confused when the show started.
- 4:09Speaker 3: You showed up and I was like, are you mean
- 4:11Speaker 3: a come for me ESPN And you were like, no,
- 4:13Speaker 3: A MEA Wallace makes a lot more sense. Yeah, it
- 4:16Speaker 3: makes a lot more sense. So Alandra over here, Mia Wallace.
- 4:19Speaker 3: It would have been great if we all could have
- 4:22Speaker 3: done the same theme. But honestly, they say pat the chest.
- 4:25Speaker 3: That'sld us. We kind of put it off. A Laundra
- 4:28Speaker 3: actually reminded us on Tuesday, like, yo, we doing this
- 4:31Speaker 3: or not?
- 4:31Speaker 5: Reminded y'all a handful of times.
- 4:34Speaker 3: Well, the final reminder Tuesday, and at that point we
- 4:36Speaker 3: were like, oh, and then with them having to go
- 4:42Speaker 3: miss the first hour of the show, what do we
- 4:44Speaker 3: think they are?
- 4:47Speaker 5: I feel like they're still at the facility. They said
- 4:49Speaker 5: they're on their way.
- 4:49Speaker 3: But I think, what do we think they are? Like,
- 4:51Speaker 3: are they showing up? I gotta fill on one of
- 4:54Speaker 3: them is not gonna be dressed up. Unfortunately, we met yeah, yesterday,
- 5:00Speaker 3: Like Jake was all about it yesterday. Matt's like, I'll
- 5:02Speaker 3: throw something together. We'll do a quick change. I was like,
- 5:04Speaker 3: m we'll see or Matt'll be like something that just
- 5:08Speaker 3: requires every day closed. He'd be like, no, I'm this,
- 5:11Speaker 3: We'll see okay. Before we went to break to end
- 5:14Speaker 3: our number one there, we mentioned that a big time
- 5:18Speaker 3: name in the world of college football has thrown his
- 5:20Speaker 3: name into the ring to become LSU's next head coach,
- 5:24Speaker 3: and it is former LSU National Championship head coach Edwards rot.
- 5:28Speaker 3: He joined Unsportsmanlike on ESPN Radio yesterday morning. Actually comes
- 5:33Speaker 3: on right before us. Actually a pretty good show and listen
- 5:36Speaker 3: to it every morning. He joined the show, you know,
- 5:39Speaker 3: to talk about the world of college football. Obviously, the
- 5:43Speaker 3: LSU head coach at opening was brought up and he
- 5:45Speaker 3: was asked point blank, would be would you ever consider
- 5:49Speaker 3: returning LSU? Orgeron's response, I'd love to. Are you kidding me?
- 5:53Speaker 3: I'm only one phone call away. I just got to
- 5:56Speaker 3: get in my truck and I'd be there today. There
- 5:59Speaker 3: was a little bit of back in and then Evan Cohen,
- 6:01Speaker 3: one of the hosts of the show, added, Okay, we'll
- 6:03Speaker 3: take head coach out of the equation. Would you ever
- 6:06Speaker 3: consider coming back being an assistant? He said, yeah, I'd
- 6:09Speaker 3: consider it. I still love LSU, still love my house
- 6:12Speaker 3: in Ben Rouge, loved working with coach Miles being the
- 6:15Speaker 3: D line coach. He said, I want to get back
- 6:17Speaker 3: into coaching, so for sure, I'd consider it, no doubt. Okay,
- 6:22Speaker 3: Edwzron is not going to be the head coach of LSHIP.
- 6:25Speaker 3: That's not happening. I know that you know the story
- 6:27Speaker 3: kind of caught fire yesterday.
- 6:28Speaker 4: Not happening. Appreciate what you.
- 6:30Speaker 3: Did, Ed, Thanks, but no thanks, but to take it
- 6:34Speaker 3: a step further. I don't know if I want him
- 6:38Speaker 3: here as an assistant coach, not because I don't think
- 6:40Speaker 3: he's a good D line coach.
- 6:43Speaker 4: What coach that you hire is it.
- 6:46Speaker 3: Gonna want to have it orizr On on their staff and
- 6:49Speaker 3: take the name it Olazeron out of it. What coach
- 6:51Speaker 3: that gets hired is going to want to bring in
- 6:53Speaker 3: a coach that was a head coach and won a
- 6:56Speaker 3: national championship at this very school and have that on
- 7:00Speaker 3: your weight, on your shoulders, have that breathing down your neck.
- 7:02Speaker 4: Anytime you'll lose the game.
- 7:05Speaker 3: Hey, they gonna fire him and ed Orgron gonna become
- 7:07Speaker 3: the interim head coach again. Who's gonna want to do that? So, like,
- 7:10Speaker 3: I appreciate it. I appreciate his passion for LSU. I
- 7:14Speaker 3: don't see a world where any coach that gets hired
- 7:16Speaker 3: hires Ed Orgron as an assistant. I just don't see
- 7:19Speaker 3: it happening. And look, I see people in the chat
- 7:21Speaker 3: mention it. And you know, Lane Kiffin's name was brought up.
- 7:25Speaker 3: Lane might I don't.
- 7:28Speaker 4: Think it's a good idea.
- 7:29Speaker 3: Look Edorgron was the perfect coach for LSU at that
- 7:33Speaker 3: particular time. It ran its course. So let's say Lane does.
- 7:38Speaker 3: I don't know if he is the right fit for
- 7:41Speaker 3: LSU anymore. I appreciate the passion. I know there's a
- 7:43Speaker 3: lot of people here that still support him. Remember, like
- 7:46Speaker 3: it was a little messy, a little messy towards the
- 7:48Speaker 3: end of his tenure. Here is the LSU head coach
- 7:51Speaker 3: I don't know if you want to bring that back.
- 7:53Speaker 3: I don't know if you can bring that back. I'm
- 7:55Speaker 3: gonna say no. I'm gonna say no to ed Orsron Again.
- 7:59Speaker 3: I appreciate the ashion Elandra not hiss head coach. I
- 8:03Speaker 3: know you mentioned strength and conditioning. Anyway, a head coach
- 8:08Speaker 3: that gets hired brings back ed Arsan.
- 8:14Speaker 6: I can see it happening in like some sort of role,
- 8:16Speaker 6: not like a huge one, but maybe in like or
- 8:19Speaker 6: an analyst. Yeah, I can I can see it, or
- 8:22Speaker 6: at least somebody reaching out.
- 8:27Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know if they will though. I mean
- 8:30Speaker 3: that that is a you know, national championship coach at
- 8:33Speaker 3: that school.
- 8:35Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 8:35Speaker 3: I mean, look, it's a great position coach. Like he's
- 8:37Speaker 3: a great D line coach, he's a great recruiter. I
- 8:40Speaker 3: think he'd be a great analyst. I just don't know
- 8:42Speaker 3: if the coach will do it or if they should
- 8:45Speaker 3: do it. There's a possibility. I'm just not sure. But look,
- 8:50Speaker 3: it's it's one of those things that his name is
- 8:54Speaker 3: gonna keep getting brought up, and not just at LSU.
- 8:56Speaker 3: I mean he's been linked to the Oregon State job.
- 8:58Speaker 3: I think that's a great spot for Edo. That program
- 9:00Speaker 3: right now was winless when they fired their head coach.
- 9:05Speaker 3: Orsron's proven that he's a good interim and he can
- 9:07Speaker 3: get in there and maybe turn things around quickly at
- 9:08Speaker 3: least establish an aggressive culture.
- 9:11Speaker 4: That's one thing about ed ors Rock right.
- 9:13Speaker 3: So people will say, oh, he got complacent after the
- 9:15Speaker 3: national championship. Maybe his teams were always physical, always physical though,
- 9:20Speaker 3: even when he was losing all those games his last
- 9:22Speaker 3: two years here at LSU, his teams were always physical.
- 9:26Speaker 3: They never got beat up, they never got punched in
- 9:28Speaker 3: the mouth. So like a team like Oregon State, yes,
- 9:31Speaker 3: you could use that. I think a team like Virginia
- 9:34Speaker 3: Tech would be great for ed Orsroan. I know, you
- 9:37Speaker 3: know there's been mentioned a jimbo Fisher because he's from
- 9:40Speaker 3: West Virginia and Ryan Silverfield's the name has been brought
- 9:43Speaker 3: up for Virginia Tech as well, but iron fits there.
- 9:47Speaker 3: I don't I don't know if LAS use the right
- 9:49Speaker 3: spot for him anymore. I think you would do well here.
- 9:52Speaker 3: I just don't know if it would happen. Would I
- 9:55Speaker 3: welcome it, eh? I don't know, but I I just
- 9:59Speaker 3: don't know if that happens, all right, here's what we'll do.
- 10:06Speaker 3: We'll try to stay on time a little bit better
- 10:08Speaker 3: this hour. We'll take an early break. See if jac
- 10:11Speaker 3: and matter back on the other side. If not, we're
- 10:13Speaker 3: talking New Orleans Saints. Look, trade season's coming up, the
- 10:16Speaker 3: deadlines approaching. Everyone's wondered are the Saints buyers or sellers
- 10:20Speaker 3: coming up in the trade deadline?
- 10:23Speaker 4: Some say they're sellers.
- 10:24Speaker 3: And a really interesting name has been brought up because
- 10:28Speaker 3: I don't know how big of a trade market he
- 10:32Speaker 3: has anymore in New Worlds. So we'll take a quick break.
- 10:38Speaker 3: We'll come back and on the other side, we're talking
- 10:40Speaker 3: to New Orleans Saints next year.
- 10:41Speaker 4: On off the bench.
- 10:42Speaker 7: Off the bench, all right, go to go Tommy's dot
- 10:46Speaker 7: com website for Tommy's windows, doors and siding and see
- 10:50Speaker 7: what they can do for you. And also go to
- 10:52Speaker 7: go bearded dot com. That is the competition, the beard
- 10:56Speaker 7: and mustache competition that Tommy's putting on. And remember all
- 10:59Speaker 7: the proceeds go to the AA here in Matton Rouge
- 11:02Speaker 7: and so a very cool event that they've been doing
- 11:04Speaker 7: over the last couple of years. In different categories. You know,
- 11:07Speaker 7: a mustache category. You're gonna have different beard length categories.
- 11:11Speaker 7: Chops figured out what that was. Uh yeah, I think
- 11:16Speaker 7: we should have a soul patch category. Hadn't had that yet.
- 11:19Speaker 7: We'll say, if we can get that, let's here. If
- 11:21Speaker 7: we can get that. Next year we go to go
- 11:23Speaker 7: Bearded dot com and always go to go Tommy's g
- 11:25Speaker 7: E A U X Tommy's dot Com.
- 11:27Speaker 2: That's right, Tommy's win the sightings doors. If you have
- 11:31Speaker 2: a project, let's give them a call. Give them an
- 11:34Speaker 2: opportunity to tell you what they can do for you,
- 11:36Speaker 2: give them a price. They have been the Angie's List
- 11:38Speaker 2: Super Service Award winner since twenty sixteen, every single year,
- 11:41Speaker 2: award winning hanging banners the best in the business. Go
- 11:44Speaker 2: Tommy's dot Com.
- 11:55Speaker 7: Billy Ray was a bleacher some somewhere does Daddy revisit it?
- 11:59Speaker 5: Come when together around.
- 12:02Speaker 1: His darn a tall can dosn't really would take me
- 12:05Speaker 1: a Walkcander out to the back yard.
- 12:07Speaker 5: You go, Walcander?
- 12:09Speaker 7: Then he looking too long as the massive fact.
- 12:13Speaker 5: The only one who could ever teach me?
- 12:16Speaker 2: Why does that of a preacher man?
- 12:19Speaker 5: The only live off who could ever teach me?
- 12:22Speaker 4: Why the sun of a preacher man?
- 12:24Speaker 1: See who from the locker room to the Airwaves gets
- 12:27Speaker 1: off the bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 12:35Speaker 4: Being good God, pulp fiction. It's such a good soundtrack.
- 12:39Speaker 3: We listen to the pulp fiction music in honor of
- 12:42Speaker 3: uh around the Ladra villar Real dressed as mea Wallace
- 12:45Speaker 3: this morning, I went very less tasteful and did Jason
- 12:48Speaker 3: a blood all over my shirt somewhere, asking if it's
- 12:50Speaker 3: real blood.
- 12:51Speaker 4: I'm not giving that information away.
- 12:54Speaker 3: In the chat, someone asked if he coached the coach
- 12:57Speaker 3: a little giants is available, danny O'Shea would sit in
- 13:01Speaker 3: bad ruge. Get you want to talk about getting the
- 13:02Speaker 3: most out of your players, danny o'sha pulling the upset
- 13:05Speaker 3: against the Cowboys exactly what his team needs. And there's look,
- 13:08Speaker 3: obviously still some edors are on discussion going on, Look,
- 13:12Speaker 3: this is kind of where I ultimately land on Edorzron.
- 13:14Speaker 3: You paid on Editorzron seventeen million dollars not to coach
- 13:17Speaker 3: your football team. I don't see him coming back to
- 13:20Speaker 3: coach your team Unlesscott Woodward's gone, which if you caught
- 13:23Speaker 3: the opening of our show, he very well maybe by
- 13:26Speaker 3: the time this next week rolls around. But right now
- 13:30Speaker 3: I want to look at the New Orleans Saints a
- 13:31Speaker 3: little bit because the trade deadline's coming up in the
- 13:35Speaker 3: NFL and some names of guys on the Saints roster
- 13:38Speaker 3: has been thrown out there if possible trade candidates, look,
- 13:41Speaker 3: Pete Werner's name comes up, Alante Taylor, Carl Granderson.
- 13:45Speaker 4: I get it.
- 13:46Speaker 3: All those guys have trade value right now, There's not
- 13:49Speaker 3: very many guys on the team that do have a
- 13:50Speaker 3: lot of trade value. I think those three do. But
- 13:54Speaker 3: Espian's Jeremy Fowler yesterday says, teams I've spoken to are
- 13:59Speaker 3: under the Russian that Saints guard Caesar Ruiz might be
- 14:04Speaker 3: available at the right price.
- 14:07Speaker 4: What is the right price for Caesar Ruiz? What is
- 14:10Speaker 4: his trade value? At this point?
- 14:12Speaker 3: This is a guy that you spent a first round
- 14:14Speaker 3: pick one, and this was never going to work because
- 14:17Speaker 3: you drafted a guy who played center at Michigan after
- 14:20Speaker 3: you had a really good center in Eric McCoy and
- 14:22Speaker 3: said we're immediately going to move Caesar Luiz to guard.
- 14:26Speaker 3: Literally was never a fit from the time you drafted him.
- 14:28Speaker 3: But what is Caesar Reed's trade value? And what do
- 14:31Speaker 3: you realistically think you're going to get in return? Trying
- 14:36Speaker 3: to get any anything close to the draft capital you
- 14:40Speaker 3: use on Caesar rees as delusional. I mean, what would
- 14:44Speaker 3: you realistically spend on Caesar Luiz hoping to get back
- 14:48Speaker 3: some draft capital, Like that'd be like a lodger. If
- 14:51Speaker 3: I give you this stick of gum, will you trade
- 14:53Speaker 3: me your cell phone? No, it's a good stick of
- 14:57Speaker 3: gum though. We spend a lot of money on the
- 14:59Speaker 3: stick of gum.
- 15:00Speaker 5: Cell phone.
- 15:00Speaker 4: No, we spent a lot of money on the stick
- 15:02Speaker 4: of gum though. And I want I want my value back.
- 15:04Speaker 4: Can I have your phone?
- 15:05Speaker 1: No?
- 15:05Speaker 7: Sorry?
- 15:05Speaker 4: Okay, Well that's like it lost its value.
- 15:08Speaker 3: It lost its value. Yes, it's pre chewed. Gum's already
- 15:11Speaker 3: been chewed up and spit out. What what are you
- 15:15Speaker 3: gonna get for Caesar Ruiz? I mean, if I'm a GM,
- 15:18Speaker 3: I don't even know if I would entertain that offer.
- 15:23Speaker 3: Maybe a sixth round pick. Maybe I'd offer a six
- 15:25Speaker 3: for him. So if I get something out of him,
- 15:28Speaker 3: And that's if I'm a team that needs a rotational piece,
- 15:31Speaker 3: I'm not. I'm not trading for Caesar Ruiz hoping he
- 15:34Speaker 3: can be a starter on my offensive line, because he
- 15:36Speaker 3: hasn't proven that. He can't listen to the AFR a
- 15:39Speaker 3: little bit yesterday and Matt brought up the PFF number
- 15:42Speaker 3: and it's it's it's shocking. Caesar UZ's PFF grade is
- 15:46Speaker 3: seventy ninth among guards not offensive lineman guards. I'm not
- 15:53Speaker 3: a math whiz, but there's only sixty four starting guards
- 15:55Speaker 3: in the NFL. That means you got about fourteen fifteen
- 15:59Speaker 3: backups that are better than the starting left guard over
- 16:02Speaker 3: there in New Orleans. I don't understand who would trade
- 16:06Speaker 3: for Caesar Ruiz. And again it says at the right price,
- 16:12Speaker 3: but you're saving a small number world at this point,
- 16:16Speaker 3: like let Caesar Reese's contract run out and just move
- 16:19Speaker 3: on from him. You're never gonna recoup any of the
- 16:22Speaker 3: draft capital you got. You're only gonna save yourself a
- 16:23Speaker 3: little bit of money by trading him. If you want
- 16:26Speaker 3: to make trades and finally get into full rebuild mode,
- 16:29Speaker 3: I'm good with that. But it's about Caesar Luiz. Carl Granderson,
- 16:36Speaker 3: I think he's he's tradable. As much as it pains
- 16:39Speaker 3: for me to say, Chase you ollng you could trade him.
- 16:41Speaker 3: I don't know if you'd want to because he's been
- 16:42Speaker 3: so good for you, But you gotta look at guys
- 16:44Speaker 3: that have draft capital. I mean, we had Nick going
- 16:46Speaker 3: on Tuesday and he was like, I think Alvin Kamara
- 16:48Speaker 3: has played his way out of being traded because he
- 16:51Speaker 3: hasn't been good lately. Part of the reason, well, he's
- 16:54Speaker 3: running behind an offensive line that Susan Ruiz is a
- 16:56Speaker 3: starter on. I mean, you have Fuag and Banks out,
- 17:00Speaker 3: you move on from any of them for in his
- 17:02Speaker 3: second year, Banks and Rookie both first round picks, Like
- 17:05Speaker 3: you're keeping those guys. We've talked about Chris Alave, who
- 17:09Speaker 3: I think as a number two. The problem is with
- 17:13Speaker 3: Chris Olave, he's the number one receiver on your team,
- 17:16Speaker 3: but he's a number two.
- 17:17Speaker 4: Rashichi head I think it's three.
- 17:19Speaker 3: I think Rashichi is a slot guy who could take
- 17:22Speaker 3: the top off of defenses, and he's your two. Everybody's
- 17:25Speaker 3: having to play up and they just haven't shown the
- 17:27Speaker 3: capability of doing that consistent.
- 17:31Speaker 4: Guys.
- 17:32Speaker 3: We got an update. We got us an update. Not one,
- 17:36Speaker 3: but two new gentlemen just walked in the studio. We
- 17:40Speaker 3: got mister Jacob Ester and mister Matt Flynn dressed up.
- 17:44Speaker 3: We'll let you, We'll let them explain to you what
- 17:46Speaker 3: they are. But uh, Fellas welcome back, yo, yo.
- 17:54Speaker 7: So what's that? What's up? How are we doing? How
- 17:55Speaker 7: we living? What segment we guys?
- 17:57Speaker 3: I was just talking about uh the second Jeremy Fowler
- 18:01Speaker 3: said that, uh, Caesar Reaves could be traded, And my
- 18:03Speaker 3: point is, no one can trade for Caesar.
- 18:06Speaker 2: Who the help of trade for going to.
- 18:08Speaker 7: Give an asset for old Caesar? Yeah, I don't see
- 18:11Speaker 7: that one happening.
- 18:11Speaker 6: Maybe a super late round picks go back to the
- 18:15Speaker 6: old days.
- 18:17Speaker 2: What's the Maybe Trump Trump the Flint Tropics semi pro
- 18:22Speaker 2: washing machine. They got trade for a washing machine.
- 18:24Speaker 4: We really needed that washing machine.
- 18:26Speaker 7: Really, it didn't really need people glad to be back.
- 18:30Speaker 5: I need to know who y'all are.
- 18:31Speaker 7: We appreciate.
- 18:33Speaker 6: Uh.
- 18:33Speaker 7: I'm trying to do the thing from the Yellowstone.
- 18:39Speaker 4: I think I know who Matt is. That's got to
- 18:42Speaker 4: be Joe Dirt.
- 18:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I was thinking like a Joe Dirt situation. I
- 18:46Speaker 2: could also be like, uh, I don't know. Uh, this
- 18:51Speaker 2: kind of looked like AXL Rose back in the day,
- 18:53Speaker 2: maybe a little bit more uh more Midley Crew, But yeah,
- 18:59Speaker 2: I was gonna wear like all old denim outfit, like
- 19:01Speaker 2: a like a Canadian tuxedo. So I got everything. I
- 19:04Speaker 2: got everything dinhim. The one thing I don't have is
- 19:06Speaker 2: the one thing everybody would have in his jeans.
- 19:08Speaker 7: Yeah you got.
- 19:13Speaker 2: Yes, I went with the short shorts, some boots.
- 19:16Speaker 7: Okay, look like Carnival.
- 19:19Speaker 4: We all dressed up like that. He's tell me, y'all
- 19:21Speaker 4: were dressed up like that all morning.
- 19:23Speaker 7: No change in the office. Yeah, we didn't want to.
- 19:28Speaker 2: So yeah, that's what I'm That's what I'm a Carney
- 19:30Speaker 2: about that.
- 19:30Speaker 4: Okay, I like that.
- 19:31Speaker 5: I like it.
- 19:32Speaker 4: You operate the tilted world.
- 19:33Speaker 2: Yeah, got a pack of marbles right here.
- 19:37Speaker 5: I think we're thinking, who's the uh the guy from Poison?
- 19:42Speaker 4: That's Michael's log Vincent, look like somewhere.
- 19:46Speaker 2: I think I could pull this hair stop. I went is?
- 19:48Speaker 3: Uh?
- 19:50Speaker 2: I went is Jason?
- 19:52Speaker 4: Okay, you can't really wear this while you're hosting the show.
- 19:55Speaker 7: We went and we got news in there and there's
- 20:01Speaker 7: no that's awesome. That is awesome.
- 20:03Speaker 2: Uh, sorry for.
- 20:07Speaker 5: Holding it down.
- 20:09Speaker 7: Uh yeah we did.
- 20:10Speaker 2: Uh.
- 20:10Speaker 7: Let let's do this. We can take a break and

- 21:38Speaker 1: Locked in on LSU Football twenty four to seven. You're

- 21:52Speaker 7: furnished off an apartment with a room the rule box

- 22:00Speaker 7: the raise of King Studio. Glad to be back. Can't
- 22:02Speaker 7: thank Landra and Tte enough for holding it down for us.
- 22:06Speaker 2: I assume crushing it. I guess what. They don't print
- 22:14Speaker 2: your They don't print your grade or your GPA on
- 22:16Speaker 2: that degree. Sure nowhere on.
- 22:18Speaker 7: That degree just says general studies on that we passed.
- 22:22Speaker 4: I'd give us a passing grade.
- 22:23Speaker 7: Well, we appreciate it. And I don't know if you
- 22:27Speaker 7: what you know what y'all told him or whatever, But
- 22:29Speaker 7: we had a chance to go over to football ops
- 22:32Speaker 7: today and Frank Wilson reached out to us and wanted
- 22:36Speaker 7: us to be there for the morning workout before the
- 22:39Speaker 7: team goes and uh, you know for a couple of
- 22:42Speaker 7: all stay because bye week obviously, like typically they probably
- 22:44Speaker 7: already would have been on the road, but Frank wanted
- 22:47Speaker 7: to get one more work out in and we had
- 22:49Speaker 7: a group of former players over there, and we got
- 22:51Speaker 7: a chance to speak with him and got a chance
- 22:53Speaker 7: to look him in the eye and you know, just
- 22:55Speaker 7: have real conversations with him, and so really enjoyed it.
- 22:58Speaker 7: We appreciate Frank for asking us to come be a
- 23:01Speaker 7: part of that. Some great former Tigers in that building,
- 23:04Speaker 7: and I can tell you it's a team that, to
- 23:09Speaker 7: a man, whoever was up there talking, they were in
- 23:12Speaker 7: they were all into the message. And it's a team
- 23:15Speaker 7: that is still fighting, you can bet that, yep. And
- 23:19Speaker 7: a team that was still grinding this morning. And I
- 23:22Speaker 7: think they understand what the situation is. They also understand
- 23:26Speaker 7: the assignment and the opportunity that they have in front
- 23:29Speaker 7: of them to finish the season strong. So again, y'all
- 23:33Speaker 7: know what that place means to me, what it means
- 23:35Speaker 7: to Matt And so anytime that the head coach reaches
- 23:38Speaker 7: out to you and want you to be a part
- 23:39Speaker 7: of something like that, You're gonna drop everything and thankfully
- 23:43Speaker 7: we have Taylor and Landra to be able to do
- 23:45Speaker 7: something like that. So again, we appreciate y'all, but it
- 23:48Speaker 7: was it was important for us to be there.
- 23:51Speaker 2: Yeah, let me tell all LSU Tiger fans something that
- 23:55Speaker 2: we knew after this move was made, the transition over
- 23:59Speaker 2: to Frank Wilson being the interim head coach, I can
- 24:05Speaker 2: assure you you can be rest assured that there is
- 24:08Speaker 2: no better person at this moment in time, at this
- 24:12Speaker 2: point in the season, after what this team has kind
- 24:14Speaker 2: of gone through, They've lost and they have not played
- 24:17Speaker 2: up to their standard that they want to play. There
- 24:19Speaker 2: is not one better person in the world to step
- 24:21Speaker 2: into and lead those men right now than Frank Wilson.
- 24:28Speaker 2: It's kind of hard to put your finger on the
- 24:29Speaker 2: pulse of what everything was prior to this, where the
- 24:35Speaker 2: disconnect was, where the put your finger on what it
- 24:40Speaker 2: was that kind of led to the results on the field.
- 24:42Speaker 2: It's hard to put your finger on that because you know,
- 24:46Speaker 2: up to this point, I would say the former players
- 24:50Speaker 2: and that kind of what we saw this morning wasn't
- 24:54Speaker 2: really available, I guess to these players, and Frank Wilson
- 24:58Speaker 2: has made an effort to kind of galvanize this team
- 25:02Speaker 2: under the respect, the admiration, the love of not only
- 25:07Speaker 2: Louisiana but LSU and trying to communicate that and one
- 25:13Speaker 2: of the first things that he knew that needed to
- 25:17Speaker 2: be happened. If he wants these men to kind of
- 25:18Speaker 2: come together, they got two decisions to make, right, Yeah,
- 25:21Speaker 2: there's two. It's it's black and white.
- 25:23Speaker 7: Ye are you going to quit?
- 25:24Speaker 2: You fight, and you fight together and you fight with
- 25:27Speaker 2: everything you got, or you kind of start looking at
- 25:30Speaker 2: what's next, whether that's the next school, next team, what's
- 25:35Speaker 2: next in life, the NFL, whatever that is. And what
- 25:39Speaker 2: we saw today was a group of men. Now I
- 25:42Speaker 2: don't know what their record from here out is going
- 25:44Speaker 2: to show. Oh, what we saw was a group of
- 25:48Speaker 2: men and on the team support staff that had everybody's back.
- 25:54Speaker 2: And I can tell you right now what decision they've made. Now, again,
- 25:59Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 25:59Speaker 7: What that was.
- 26:00Speaker 2: Result on the scoreboard it's going to be yeah, but
- 26:02Speaker 2: I can tell you what decision they've made based on
- 26:04Speaker 2: what I've seen. And there's no better person that had
- 26:08Speaker 2: to step into those shoes. No one, there's no playbook
- 26:11Speaker 2: for us. There's no playbook for you lose your coach.
- 26:13Speaker 2: You've lost three games this season, you were predicted, you projected,
- 26:17Speaker 2: you were expected to be in the playoff this year.
- 26:22Speaker 2: There's no playbook on how to transition from that to
- 26:26Speaker 2: where they are now. But Frank Wilson's doing a great
- 26:29Speaker 2: job and the guy that cares. And I think the
- 26:33Speaker 2: point of having former players come back is not to
- 26:36Speaker 2: be like, yeah, look what they did, look at the
- 26:37Speaker 2: blah blah blah, look at this guy, but really just
- 26:40Speaker 2: to know that all the noise that is out there
- 26:43Speaker 2: that surrounds the program, and we've I know y'all talked
- 26:46Speaker 2: about it before we got here, the outside noise from politicians,
- 26:50Speaker 2: from fans, from other coaches, from former players. There's a
- 26:54Speaker 2: lot of noise and you can't ignore it as a player.
- 26:58Speaker 2: What they want to know is like, if you ever
- 26:59Speaker 2: put on that helmet, have you ever put on that jersey?
- 27:04Speaker 2: You got the back of the men in that building.
- 27:06Speaker 2: And I think that's what Frank wants them to know
- 27:09Speaker 2: is I guess there's a brotherhood there. Everybody's put on
- 27:12Speaker 2: the helet we're all brothers. We might not have ever met,
- 27:15Speaker 2: might not ever worked together, but we share that brotherhood.
- 27:19Speaker 2: And I think Frank just wants to know that everybody
- 27:21Speaker 2: on the outside noise, screw it. Everybody's got your back.
- 27:26Speaker 2: We're behind you, we want you to we want y'all
- 27:28Speaker 2: to be successful. I just got to know there's a
- 27:31Speaker 2: choice to me.
- 27:32Speaker 7: Yeah, and he's going to do it in a way
- 27:37Speaker 7: that LSU football's don't done for a long time in
- 27:41Speaker 7: the past as well. You know, it's all right during
- 27:46Speaker 7: the bye week, we're still working. During the bye week,
- 27:49Speaker 7: we're still going to talk about the game that just happened,
- 27:52Speaker 7: because it happened, and you got to learn from that.
- 27:55Speaker 7: Like you can't just say, oh, that game's over. We
- 27:57Speaker 7: got to move on to the next one. At some point,
- 27:59Speaker 7: you do. But you also got to learn from that game.
- 28:02Speaker 7: You had to watch that tape. You have to make
- 28:04Speaker 7: corrections off that tape. You've got to show your players
- 28:07Speaker 7: what went wrong and when it went wrong and what
- 28:10Speaker 7: can't happen again. Then also, they got after it on
- 28:14Speaker 7: Tuesday and Wednesday, you know, oh yeah, they got to
- 28:17Speaker 7: got after it. That's the first thing I heard when
- 28:19Speaker 7: we went over there was like, let did y'all did
- 28:22Speaker 7: y'all come yesterday? I's like no. On the radio, they're like,
- 28:24Speaker 7: oh man, you should have been here yesterday. Pads were
- 28:27Speaker 7: popping right, and they went a little bit old school there,
- 28:30Speaker 7: and again very easily could have after Wednesday's practice, said
- 28:35Speaker 7: all right, we'll see y'all Sunday. Bye week. Like, no,
- 28:37Speaker 7: we're gonna work out one more time as a group
- 28:38Speaker 7: before we get out of here. We're gonna have one
- 28:40Speaker 7: more you know, opportunity together. We're gonna work out, we're
- 28:43Speaker 7: gonna run, we're gonna push each other, and then well,
- 28:47Speaker 7: you know, enjoy a bye week. And so that was
- 28:49Speaker 7: good to hear. It's refreshing, like it's a place that
- 28:52Speaker 7: you have to have some of those old school mentalities.
- 28:54Speaker 7: You still got to be, you know, able to go
- 28:56Speaker 7: out there and push yourself in like and Jimbo says
- 29:00Speaker 7: this all the time, Like I want to ask him
- 29:02Speaker 7: about his time at LSU. He's like, I've been in
- 29:06Speaker 7: a lot of great places I have. He's been at Auburn,
- 29:08Speaker 7: he's been you know, Cincinnati going way back in his career,
- 29:11Speaker 7: Florida State obviously, Texas and m he said. The thing
- 29:13Speaker 7: that was noticeable in such a big attribute for us
- 29:18Speaker 7: at LSU. He said, Man, you can coach Louisiana kids
- 29:21Speaker 7: so much harder than anybody else I've ever been around.
- 29:24Speaker 7: And I was like, when we tell me, he goes,
- 29:26Speaker 7: it's just tough. It's like they've been raised tough. They've
- 29:29Speaker 7: been you know, brought up in a way and coaching
- 29:32Speaker 7: through through the high school ranks where it's not been
- 29:35Speaker 7: you know, oh you're the star player, you can do
- 29:37Speaker 7: what you want. It's been tough love. And that's not
- 29:38Speaker 7: a shot anybody that's from anywhere else, But that's when
- 29:41Speaker 7: somebody's coach a law place. He goes, you can you
- 29:43Speaker 7: can coach them. You can coach them right. They're not
- 29:46Speaker 7: going to feel sorry for themselves. They're not going to
- 29:48Speaker 7: just go in a corner and start weeping because you
- 29:51Speaker 7: coach him. He's like, no, you can get after him
- 29:53Speaker 7: and you can make them better and you can develop them.
- 29:55Speaker 7: And that's something that has always been there and you
- 30:00Speaker 7: can tell like, those are some of the things that
- 30:02Speaker 7: like Frank wants to make sure gets gets done because
- 30:06Speaker 7: it is a place where you've got to be mentally, physically, tough,
- 30:09Speaker 7: and that's the DNA of the program. So those players
- 30:13Speaker 7: have been raised and molded kind of in that style.
- 30:18Speaker 2: I was from Texas though they could coach me hard.
- 30:21Speaker 7: I don't know, man, Jimbo started yelling to you. You're like, stop, jim.
- 30:27Speaker 2: Big daddy, no, daddy, No, No, that's right man. Like
- 30:31Speaker 2: it was. It was a it was great to be back.
- 30:33Speaker 2: I know, there's been a lot said. We even talked
- 30:35Speaker 2: about it on Monday after after Brian Kelly was was
- 30:37Speaker 2: let go. That like for a long time for former players,
- 30:41Speaker 2: it felt like, you know, you could you could go.
- 30:43Speaker 2: She's kind of had to make an appoint Man. You
- 30:44Speaker 2: kind of had a lot of players that didn't necessarily
- 30:48Speaker 2: you know, wasn't Jacob, wasn't myself Like I had issues yeah,
- 30:51Speaker 2: getting there, they didn't. They felt kind of isolated from
- 30:54Speaker 2: the program. They didn't feel real welcome all the time.
- 30:56Speaker 2: Well this is a far cry from that that feeling.
- 30:59Speaker 2: So it's it's a great thing and it's an important thing.
- 31:03Speaker 2: It's an important thing for those players and uh yeah,
- 31:07Speaker 2: I'm just I'm proud of Frank Wilson and everybody on
- 31:11Speaker 2: that supportment. There wasn't a sad eye in that building.
- 31:17Speaker 2: There wasn't anybody in there feeling sorry for themselves. There
- 31:20Speaker 2: wasn't anybody in there that wasn't ready to go, I mean,
- 31:25Speaker 2: wasn't ready to go hit somebody from Alabama in the mouth.
- 31:28Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 31:28Speaker 2: Again, they got new people game planning, calling plays like
- 31:32Speaker 2: there's it's a hurdle, right, it's a big hurdle. But
- 31:37Speaker 2: I can tell you from the mental standpoint, in the
- 31:39Speaker 2: psychology standpoint, we canna be a right Yep.
- 31:43Speaker 7: I'm looking forward to it, looking forward to seeing how
- 31:45Speaker 7: they respond. Again, you go back last time you were
- 31:48Speaker 7: in this situation, you let your coach go. Now, Coach
- 31:52Speaker 7: oh still coached that team, but you did some things
- 31:56Speaker 7: that you just hadn't done all season long. And it
- 31:59Speaker 7: was a game plan that you loved. I was like
- 32:00Speaker 7: cover zero and bringing guys from every single direction and
- 32:04Speaker 7: you had a chance to beat Alabama when you were
- 32:06Speaker 7: a three touchdown dog in their stadium. This team's better
- 32:10Speaker 7: than that team. This team has, you know, obviously, like
- 32:15Speaker 7: even right now, more things going for it than that
- 32:18Speaker 7: team did. But I want to see that kind of effort.
- 32:20Speaker 7: And again, you know, an hour and a half spending
- 32:24Speaker 7: time with them this morning, but from what I saw,
- 32:26Speaker 7: I think you're going to get that effort, and I
- 32:29Speaker 7: know that all the things that you wanted to do,
- 32:32Speaker 7: all the things that we thought. I thought I was
- 32:34Speaker 7: a ten and two football team. I was a ten
- 32:36Speaker 7: and two football team. And it's not. They've already got
- 32:38Speaker 7: three losses, right, we understand that, But you still have
- 32:42Speaker 7: all those pieces for the most part that gave you
- 32:45Speaker 7: what a lot of us thought was going to be
- 32:47Speaker 7: a ten to win season. So you got the opportunity.
- 32:50Speaker 7: I'm looking forward to seeing how it all plays out.
- 32:52Speaker 2: Yeah, you still got the same dudes on the roster
- 32:54Speaker 2: that you did before the game, where everybody was talking
- 32:57Speaker 2: expecting you to be at a place that you have
- 32:59Speaker 2: not met. You hadn't met the expectations. You still got
- 33:02Speaker 2: the same guys. You got the right guy in front
- 33:05Speaker 2: of that team room every single day talking to you,
- 33:07Speaker 2: bringing the right attitude. So I'm so excited about seeing
- 33:11Speaker 2: what this team can do for the rest of the
- 33:13Speaker 2: season starting next week. What an opportunity. I know it's
- 33:17Speaker 2: they're gonna be underdogs. They people are gonna be counting
- 33:20Speaker 2: them out, counting LSU out, count Louisiana. Yep, guess what
- 33:26Speaker 2: Tigers are gonna show up. They're gonna have a helmet on,
- 33:28Speaker 2: they have shoulder pads and everything.
- 33:31Speaker 7: Like we said yesterday, and we didn't say it. John
- 33:34Speaker 7: Dre Kirkland said it. We got eleven. We go and
- 33:36Speaker 7: go play, and that's what they're gonna go do in
- 33:39Speaker 7: Tuscaloosa coming up here. So all right, we'll step away
- 33:42Speaker 7: and we'll kind of get into some of the news cycle.
- 33:45Speaker 7: But again, we appreciate Frank Wilson, and we appreciate the
- 33:49Speaker 7: football team for reaching out to us. We enjoy getting
- 33:52Speaker 7: a chance to spend a couple of minutes there with
- 33:54Speaker 7: the caw.
- 33:54Speaker 2: Well, I guess probably should answer the elefant in the
- 33:57Speaker 2: room here. We did not wear our costumes when we
- 34:01Speaker 2: went to the We just changed when we got I
- 34:04Speaker 2: did not have the wig on.
- 34:06Speaker 5: Did y'all see Blake Baker?
- 34:09Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 34:09Speaker 2: Yeah, done.
- 34:13Speaker 7: Yeah. I told him I was well done. That was
- 34:15Speaker 7: very very well done. I was gonna go like full
- 34:17Speaker 7: food man chew too, And I was like, m they're
- 34:22Speaker 7: probably already like, there's no way this guy played running
- 34:24Speaker 7: back at l s U. Like when I'm talking to him,
- 34:26Speaker 7: they're certainly not gonna believe it.
- 34:27Speaker 2: If I have a food manchew because he's tiny and
- 34:30Speaker 2: he's white.
- 34:31Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, I'm sure there was a lot of people
- 34:35Speaker 7: like when I got up there, they're like, oh, that's it. Wait.
- 34:37Speaker 7: I thought that guy was like on the Just the
- 34:40Speaker 7: Radio team and travels with us.
- 34:41Speaker 2: I hear I see this guy speaking to us. I
- 34:44Speaker 2: thought you said he played running back or he wouldn't
- 34:48Speaker 2: like the sports stuff.
- 34:50Speaker 7: Yeah, wait, sports science, we.
- 34:52Speaker 3: Say on a little giants when he when he's looking
- 34:54Speaker 3: for coach Osha and Rick Morana shows up and he's
- 34:57Speaker 3: like a little small for a husband.
- 35:01Speaker 7: Thought, yeah, oh love it, love it all right, we'll
- 35:04Speaker 7: take a break more ot B when we come back
- 35:06Speaker 7: here live from the Raisin Kine Studio. Off the bench, Well,
- 35:13Speaker 7: if anybody's you know, ever looked like they've already enjoyed
- 35:16Speaker 7: a couple of ice cold do sechis. It's Flynn right here,
- 35:19Speaker 7: right from the pockets. I bet he would delete as
- 35:23Speaker 7: many as you put in front of him right now.
- 35:25Speaker 7: But uh, Drick responsibly go for dose. It's always a
- 35:27Speaker 7: great time. I mean, what great weather we've got right now.
- 35:30Speaker 7: You get home from work, you go on your back porch,
- 35:32Speaker 7: maybe you're grilling, you're certainly chilling, and you're just enjoying
- 35:35Speaker 7: some ice cold do sechis. So it's always the perfect time,
- 35:40Speaker 7: but now is the best time to go for dose.
- 35:43Speaker 2: Yeah, what's the coolest way You've ever seen somebody open
- 35:45Speaker 2: up a bottle of beer? Like in between like flex
- 35:48Speaker 2: or arms. Teeth is dangerous. I've seen someone do the
- 35:51Speaker 2: ice socket before. You're gonna delete some beers. If you're
- 35:55Speaker 2: gonna indulge in a couple of adult bevies on Halloween,
- 36:00Speaker 2: you got some tricky treating happening. I think tomorrow man,
- 36:02Speaker 2: Jerry Gimar, if you're gonna do it while we're walking
- 36:04Speaker 2: around the neighborhood, make sure it's a do seki's. Make
- 36:06Speaker 2: sure you get an ice down and cooler, get it
- 36:08Speaker 2: in the fridge, get some cold, delicious slice limes for
- 36:12Speaker 2: that Mexican lager man. Come on, go for dose, drink responsibly.
- 36:15Speaker 7: Do seqis.
- 36:22Speaker 6: Soon.
- 36:26Speaker 4: Hello is almost cut?
- 36:28Speaker 5: All the wills of God.
- 36:29Speaker 2: You're done all that.
- 36:31Speaker 7: She's not so cut.
- 36:35Speaker 2: We'll never get t.
- 36:37Speaker 4: I never know when I come a well, what I'm gonna.
- 36:41Speaker 1: File two thousand and seven Shamps purple and Gold to
- 36:45Speaker 1: the core. This is off the bench with hester and
- 36:49Speaker 1: Flynn Baton Rouge's go to for all things Louisiana sports.
- 36:55Speaker 7: That's a great song. What's this from?
- 36:59Speaker 5: So we in pulp fiction soundtrack?
- 37:01Speaker 7: That's okay, I knew it. Okay, So we've been playing.
- 37:04Speaker 5: That soundtrack all morning, which is a fire soundtrack.
- 37:07Speaker 7: So yeah, it's really little doing all right. So again,
- 37:14Speaker 7: we appreciate y'all so much and can't thank Launder and
- 37:17Speaker 7: Tates enough. And I'm gonna keep saying that because like
- 37:19Speaker 7: that was something that Matt and I certainly wanted to
- 37:21Speaker 7: be a part of. And you know, the show is
- 37:23Speaker 7: gonna be a little a little bit different today and
- 37:26Speaker 7: since we got here, clock see be a little different whatever.
- 37:28Speaker 7: And actually I think we're kind of on times very
- 37:31Speaker 7: much time you're probably here to be. I'm probably really
- 37:35Speaker 7: confused what's going on right now, but I will tell you. So, look,
- 37:38Speaker 7: we're gonna have some floaters here and gonna play catch
- 37:41Speaker 7: up a little bit. So we'll start with Russell Pool
- 37:43Speaker 7: Company and russelluols dot com is the website. Dream pool
- 37:47Speaker 7: is right there for you, and Russell Pool Company is
- 37:49Speaker 7: going to be able to build that. Now if you're
- 37:53Speaker 7: building a pool and you know, Matt knows this. He's
- 37:55Speaker 7: going to the same thing right now and thinking about
- 37:57Speaker 7: what they want in their pool. All the bells, all
- 37:59Speaker 7: the whistles, or maybe you want something simplistic. Whatever might be.
- 38:03Speaker 7: Your dream pool is your dream pool. That's why it's
- 38:05Speaker 7: your dream pool. But you can pull a little bit
- 38:07Speaker 7: from here, a little bit from there with Russell Pool Company,
- 38:09Speaker 7: kind of tell them what you're looking for and they
- 38:11Speaker 7: can design that for you as well. The possibilities are
- 38:14Speaker 7: endless with Russell Pools and Russell Pool Company. All Right.
- 38:19Speaker 7: One of the things that I don't I don't know
- 38:21Speaker 7: that we've really covered it like this, But this is
- 38:25Speaker 7: for me, and I'm not speaking for Matt. I'll let
- 38:27Speaker 7: Matt speak on it himself. I know there's some out
- 38:29Speaker 7: there that think that what LSU did was a knee
- 38:33Speaker 7: jerk reaction and too quick. And I do realize that
- 38:39Speaker 7: you know BK's record thirty four and fourteen and you're
- 38:41Speaker 7: five and three this year, so it's not like you
- 38:44Speaker 7: were falling off of a cliff. I do get that.
- 38:47Speaker 7: But also I actually I do appreciate the standard of
- 38:53Speaker 7: LSU football that it has gotten to. And I know,
- 39:00Speaker 7: for me, again, this is all just me. I'm not
- 39:02Speaker 7: speaking for Matt. I know that every regular season that
- 39:05Speaker 7: I was a part of, we never lost three games.
- 39:10Speaker 7: You didn't either, right, So we would have ten to
- 39:15Speaker 7: two seasons and feel disappointed and feel like it wasn't
- 39:18Speaker 7: good enough, and we would want to be better. That's
- 39:22Speaker 7: just what it is. That's what the standard of this
- 39:25Speaker 7: place is. Now. That's not for everybody. Not everybody agrees
- 39:30Speaker 7: with that, and that's fine. It's just not fine here.
- 39:35Speaker 7: You should expect to do the greatest things, not the
- 39:40Speaker 7: good things. That's what we talked about the other day.
- 39:42Speaker 7: It's like, I want the guy that's gonna attack this
- 39:45Speaker 7: job at an elite level, not great, not good, not okay,
- 39:50Speaker 7: because that's what this job deserves. You look at Tiger
- 39:55Speaker 7: Stadium on a Saturday night and how many people are
- 39:59Speaker 7: in there, and the sacrifices that they have given to
- 40:03Speaker 7: be in that stadium, to be in the number. I
- 40:07Speaker 7: know how much those tickets cost. So does Matt. We
- 40:09Speaker 7: pay for tickets. We understand driving from Shreveport to a game,
- 40:14Speaker 7: staying in a hotel, staying again the night after, and
- 40:17Speaker 7: then driving back in Monroe or wherever you're from. It's
- 40:20Speaker 7: a lot, and a lot should be expected from this program.
- 40:26Speaker 7: So I don't think it was a knee jerk reaction.
- 40:29Speaker 7: I think if you were in that stadium on Saturday night,
- 40:33Speaker 7: and again I'm gonna keep saying it, this is just
- 40:35Speaker 7: from me. I never want to see that again, as
- 40:41Speaker 7: far as somebody else leaving you behind, somebody else celebrating
- 40:47Speaker 7: on your field, somebody else taking pictures and celebrating and
- 40:52Speaker 7: doing their fight song and trying to take out I
- 40:55Speaker 7: don't ever want to see that issue again. I never
- 40:57Speaker 7: was a part of that. Matt wasn't. There's a lot
- 41:00Speaker 7: of people that weren't. And this program is a place
- 41:03Speaker 7: that I know, like the current players right now, I
- 41:06Speaker 7: think are good enough to not have that ever happen
- 41:10Speaker 7: on their tenure. So for me, if you were there,
- 41:14Speaker 7: if you had the same feelings that I did, it
- 41:16Speaker 7: was to a point of no return. It was to
- 41:19Speaker 7: a point of no return. Once that happens to you,
- 41:23Speaker 7: and was in the first time, there's no coming back
- 41:27Speaker 7: from that. Just my personal pandion, And it's not knee jerk.
- 41:30Speaker 7: It wasn't the first time. And you could tell the
- 41:33Speaker 7: vibe and you could tell what direction it was going
- 41:36Speaker 7: in and you can tell it wasn't all going in
- 41:38Speaker 7: the same direction. Now, there's some people in that building
- 41:41Speaker 7: that absolutely gave you everything they had. And when we
- 41:44Speaker 7: just went across the street and talked to with them,
- 41:46Speaker 7: I told them so, Aj Halsey, love you to Marcus Cooley,
- 41:50Speaker 7: love it mon, sort of Lane, love it right. Would
- 41:55Speaker 7: have loved to see what weeks out there. I talked
- 41:57Speaker 7: to before the Vanderbilt game. Think I had tears in
- 42:00Speaker 7: his eyes because he couldn't play in that game. I
- 42:02Speaker 7: talked to him before the A and M game, same situation.
- 42:06Speaker 7: He's just over there looking at Texas A and M
- 42:08Speaker 7: wanting to be out there.
- 42:09Speaker 2: Right.
- 42:10Speaker 7: So there's guys that it means everything too. But to
- 42:14Speaker 7: say that it was too fast or not warranted, there's
- 42:21Speaker 7: a lot of things that kind of led to what
- 42:24Speaker 7: happened last Saturday. But for whatever reason and however you
- 42:31Speaker 7: got there, I don't ever want to be a part
- 42:34Speaker 7: of something like that again, because this place went a
- 42:37Speaker 7: long time where it never had anything like that.
- 42:42Speaker 2: Yeah, that's that's very that's very well said. And like
- 42:47Speaker 2: something like this happens, it's there's no there's no it's
- 42:50Speaker 2: not like a knee jerk reaction that you're gonna fire somebody.
- 42:54Speaker 2: Uh like if you were in, if you were on
- 42:55Speaker 2: that sideline, if you're if you if you felt what
- 42:57Speaker 2: that stadium felt like. But in order for something like
- 43:01Speaker 2: that to happen so quickly, there does have to be
- 43:06Speaker 2: things that lead to that. There does have to be
- 43:08Speaker 2: people that decision makers and a feel around the program
- 43:11Speaker 2: that of different things that have happened or not happened
- 43:15Speaker 2: that you don't like or don't think or the right
- 43:18Speaker 2: move or you know there's something in the program you
- 43:21Speaker 2: you know, you can't put your finger on it. But
- 43:24Speaker 2: if they're win, it's fine. If you're winning, you can
- 43:26Speaker 2: overlook a lot of the things. But when you get
- 43:29Speaker 2: the feeling like you did, if you get embarrassed at
- 43:31Speaker 2: home like you did, like what Jake said, like all
- 43:33Speaker 2: these people are sacrificing to go and the product, that's
- 43:36Speaker 2: like even in the South Carolina game, like I was
- 43:38Speaker 2: sitting there watching it, I'm like, yeah, like we won,
- 43:43Speaker 2: which is great. I don't want to be spoiled, but
- 43:48Speaker 2: there's just there's just something it's like, Man, this isn't
- 43:50Speaker 2: fun to watch this. You know this this product right now,
- 43:54Speaker 2: and I don't. I can't. You can't put your finger
- 43:56Speaker 2: on what it is. Yeah, we can break down the film.
- 43:57Speaker 2: We can look at x's and no's. We can see
- 43:59Speaker 2: deficiencies here and there on plays and you know, a
- 44:02Speaker 2: linebacker that should have you know, scraped over the top,
- 44:04Speaker 2: a guy that was open, or whatever. That happens in
- 44:06Speaker 2: all football, what happens at every play. I don't care
- 44:09Speaker 2: if you go undefeated in the NFL, you're gonna have
- 44:12Speaker 2: fifty plays where someone does something wrong, oh or got
- 44:14Speaker 2: beat one on one. That happens, and we call it
- 44:16Speaker 2: out and we're not calling out individual people. We're just
- 44:19Speaker 2: talking football with y'all. When we call it out, we're
- 44:22Speaker 2: not because it happens, win or lose. But there's an attitude,
- 44:25Speaker 2: there's a there's a character of a team, there's a
- 44:28Speaker 2: character of a program, an organization that was missing. And
- 44:31Speaker 2: I think it was a lot of build up and
- 44:33Speaker 2: they were just waiting for one thing, to one little
- 44:36Speaker 2: crack in the dam to break it open. And that
- 44:39Speaker 2: happened in a big way. It wasn't a bit, It
- 44:41Speaker 2: wasn't a small crack either. It was a gash that
- 44:44Speaker 2: happened to you this past Saturday, and so we've now
- 44:50Speaker 2: turned over a coach, we got a new staff, and
- 44:56Speaker 2: I just told you last same and Frank Wilson. If
- 44:58Speaker 2: you are worried about anything, you shouldn't because Frank Wilson
- 45:01Speaker 2: is a person person to step in right now in
- 45:03Speaker 2: this moment. And no, I don't think it was a
- 45:10Speaker 2: knee jerk reaction. Now you can look at the money
- 45:11Speaker 2: and be like, all right, well, it's like kind of surprise.
- 45:14Speaker 2: It might have been, you know, reactionary for to like
- 45:17Speaker 2: try to find that money, but from it making that decision,
- 45:19Speaker 2: making the call, once you knew you had it, had
- 45:22Speaker 2: the backing to do it, I think it became an
- 45:25Speaker 2: easy decision.
- 45:26Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 45:27Speaker 2: This Look, there's good people over there, man, there's good
- 45:30Speaker 2: people that want to fight.
- 45:32Speaker 7: And we just saw a lot of them. And it's
- 45:35Speaker 7: not spoiled. It's not spoiled. It's demanding excellence and it's
- 45:41Speaker 7: working at an elite level. It's not spoiled, working at
- 45:46Speaker 7: what the common main goal is every single day when
- 45:50Speaker 7: you take this job, it is family one A and
- 45:54Speaker 7: it's LSU football one B. And it has to be
- 45:58Speaker 7: that way. There's no negotiat That's what it is. This
- 46:02Speaker 7: is not for every one. And so that's why when
- 46:04Speaker 7: the next coach comes in, that's why I'm not kidding.
- 46:07Speaker 7: I want to be in the room because I promise
- 46:09Speaker 7: you in five minutes, I can tell Macintel two it
- 46:12Speaker 7: was five minutes. And I'll tell you if you're about
- 46:14Speaker 7: what this life is about, if you're ready for these challenges,
- 46:18Speaker 7: if you're ready to accept what the demands are here,
- 46:21Speaker 7: and the demands are justified because of everything that you
- 46:25Speaker 7: get and everything that everyone sacrifices to give it to you.
- 46:30Speaker 7: So we'll be back our number three OTV off the bench,
- 46:36Speaker 7: all right. If you are tired of checking accounts that
