- 0:06Speaker 1: Hello everybody, and welcome to another edition of Cardinal Territory.
- 0:10Speaker 1: Jim Hayes with Lance Lynn, who was mobile today. Kyle
- 0:13Speaker 1: Gibson says he was DFA. He wasn't really, And meantime,
- 0:18Speaker 1: we are still trying to get to seven thousand subscribers.
- 0:22Speaker 1: I did say that I would go tarps off if
- 0:24Speaker 1: we got there. We haven't, but I still went tarps
- 0:26Speaker 1: off yesterday anyway, Lance, because let's face it, I have
- 0:31Speaker 1: a body. I did some ad work and I wanted
- 0:34Speaker 1: to show it off. But if you like Cardinal Territory,
- 0:36Speaker 1: go ahead hit the subscribe button. We are gradually getting
- 0:40Speaker 1: to seven thousand. Help us get there, well, Lance. The
- 0:44Speaker 1: Cardinals had another walk off, right five They've had five
- 0:49Speaker 1: this season. Last night it was Yvon Herrera tenth inning,
- 0:54Speaker 1: three run homer, his first ever walk off, and the
- 0:58Speaker 1: Cardinals are now seven to one for ending games. We're
- 1:01Speaker 1: middle of May. My question is are you starting to
- 1:05Speaker 1: think that this is who they are or is it
- 1:07Speaker 1: still way too earthly?
- 1:10Speaker 2: Well, unfortunately, baseball is a tendency to come back to
- 1:13Speaker 2: even at some point. So we we seven and one
- 1:16Speaker 2: in extra inning games and walk offs, they usually don't
- 1:20Speaker 2: keep rolling like that. So they have got a good start,
- 1:24Speaker 2: got a good head start here. But I say what
- 1:26Speaker 2: I say that at the same point, like teams that
- 1:29Speaker 2: have magical years that are say surprised, teams like the
- 1:33Speaker 2: Cardinals have been so far winning games, will will have
- 1:36Speaker 2: a tendency to do these things and they keep rolling.
- 1:38Speaker 2: So you know, for their sake, they just need to
- 1:41Speaker 2: ride this heater and make sure they you know, keep
- 1:44Speaker 2: winning those close games. And they're not afraid of the
- 1:46Speaker 2: moment either. So it's been good for them. It's good
- 1:49Speaker 2: to win those games. It's good to give excitement and
- 1:51Speaker 2: things like that, but it's not something you can bank
- 1:54Speaker 2: on saying a stay a seven to one ratio the
- 1:57Speaker 2: rest of the year will probably come back to even
- 2:00Speaker 2: as a year goes on.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Thank you for some rational analysis sometimes, you know, I
- 2:06Speaker 1: get a little over my skis lance. One of the
- 2:08Speaker 1: things though, that yeah, you have to you have to
- 2:11Speaker 1: appreciate is they went in different ways. There always seems
- 2:16Speaker 1: to be a different hero. Last night it was Herrera.
- 2:19Speaker 1: You look at how they did it. Libby had a
- 2:21Speaker 1: rough start, Bullpen wasn't great, but they had four homers.
- 2:24Speaker 1: This isn't a team that's supposed to be hitting a
- 2:27Speaker 1: lot of homers, especially at Bush Stadium. But that's an
- 2:30Speaker 1: important ingredient, isn't it. The fact that, like you said,
- 2:34Speaker 1: guys aren't afraid of the big moment.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Yeah, And I think you're looking at guys you say
- 2:39Speaker 2: are not supposed hit a lot of home runs. They
- 2:41Speaker 2: have the ability to hit home runs, and they're becoming
- 2:45Speaker 2: everyday major leaguers and learning what they're capable of. So
- 2:48Speaker 2: the home runs will come as they learn who they
- 2:50Speaker 2: are and what they're trying to do. I think if
- 2:52Speaker 2: you try to force home runs, that's when these guys
- 2:54Speaker 2: have gotten themselves in trouble in the past. You let
- 2:56Speaker 2: them come when they when they when you're just trying
- 2:59Speaker 2: to drive the ball and take swings. And you're starting
- 3:01Speaker 2: to see that more. Their approaches are in a good spot.
- 3:05Speaker 2: They know what they're trying to do at bat by
- 3:07Speaker 2: at bat with whatever pictures on the mound, and what
- 3:10Speaker 2: they're trying to do to them. So you look at
- 3:12Speaker 2: what the coaching staff's been able to implement with these
- 3:14Speaker 2: young hitters to be who we thought they are. They're
- 3:17Speaker 2: young in age, but a lot of them have some
- 3:19Speaker 2: some service time. They know you know, they've been there,
- 3:22Speaker 2: They've done some things, So I'm looking at them. They're
- 3:26Speaker 2: starting to take steps in the right direction where it's there.
- 3:29Speaker 3: Daily.
- 3:30Speaker 2: You're seeing some home runs, You're seeing some you know,
- 3:32Speaker 2: good swings at all times, like I saw Burley late
- 3:35Speaker 2: in the game last night, you know, on a fastball
- 3:38Speaker 2: up and out of the zone, and you're just seeing
- 3:40Speaker 2: a guy who knows what, knows what they're pictures trying
- 3:43Speaker 2: to do to him, swung in the breaking ball was
- 3:45Speaker 2: first at bat or first picture of the at bat,
- 3:47Speaker 2: took the breaking ball in the next pitch, and then
- 3:49Speaker 2: you know knows that that picture is not going to
- 3:51Speaker 2: do it three times in a row. And he just
- 3:53Speaker 2: ambushed a heater up top. So he's got a plan.
- 3:56Speaker 2: They all seem to have a plan. And when you
- 3:58Speaker 2: have a plan and you make us to what your
- 4:00Speaker 2: plan is, it's gonna be it's gonna have more of
- 4:03Speaker 2: an impact instead of just free swinging. So I'm liking
- 4:06Speaker 2: what I'm seeing.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Let's talk about Nolan Gorman. We haven't talked a lot
- 4:11Speaker 1: about him, Like everyone knows the power, He's done it before.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Right now, He's got a six game hitting streak last
- 4:18Speaker 1: night to run homer in the sixth of a lefty
- 4:21Speaker 1: that they brought in a lefty Cisk who had never
- 4:24Speaker 1: given up a word to a lefty and Gorman launch
- 4:27Speaker 1: has won four hundred and thirty seven feet. Are we
- 4:31Speaker 1: seeing from him enough to make you think he has
- 4:34Speaker 1: found it again?
- 4:37Speaker 2: I think you're seeing the process in a similar way
- 4:40Speaker 2: that you're seeing with Jordan Walker.
- 4:42Speaker 3: They both have a lot of ability.
- 4:44Speaker 2: They both came up at a young age, had some success,
- 4:46Speaker 2: and then they had to find a new way to
- 4:49Speaker 2: be successful for a long period of time. So I'm
- 4:52Speaker 2: hoping we're seeing we're seeing him do the same thing
- 4:55Speaker 2: Jordan Walker's doing to start here. Hey, I figured out
- 4:58Speaker 2: something that works, and I'm gonna not expand I'm not
- 5:01Speaker 2: going to swing and miss as much, and then the
- 5:03Speaker 2: power numbers will come the more you barrel baseball. So
- 5:06Speaker 2: I think as a whole, I like what everything that
- 5:09Speaker 2: they are bringing to the table day in and day out.
- 5:13Speaker 2: I think the next step is going to be how
- 5:15Speaker 2: I can, you know, against really tough pitching and competition,
- 5:19Speaker 2: how can I make sure I get good swings off
- 5:21Speaker 2: on pitches that I can do I can handle and
- 5:24Speaker 2: not not expand the strike zone and give them the
- 5:26Speaker 2: you know, the help that they need as pitchers. And
- 5:28Speaker 2: that's good. You know, that comes with having a plan.
- 5:31Speaker 2: Like I said, they all seem to have a plan
- 5:33Speaker 2: right now and they know what they're looking for and
- 5:35Speaker 2: they're trying not to expand the zone. And if you
- 5:37Speaker 2: do that, it's hard to pitch to you, and then
- 5:39Speaker 2: you can get good swings off on the pitches you're
- 5:41Speaker 2: looking for and the quadrant you're looking for.
- 5:43Speaker 3: Especially the pictures make mistakes.
- 5:46Speaker 1: One thing about Gorman too, that I don't think he
- 5:48Speaker 1: gets any credit for because he wasn't a great second baseman,
- 5:51Speaker 1: but that was never his position. He's a third now
- 5:54Speaker 1: and he's been solid and I asked him about it
- 5:57Speaker 1: and he said, well, that's cause a second base I
- 6:00Speaker 1: needed more range. I don't have a ton of range.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Plus third base is the position I've played all my life.
- 6:07Speaker 1: That's home for him is being at third base. But
- 6:10Speaker 1: I do think he has surprised some people with how
- 6:13Speaker 1: many good plays he makes at third base. Have you
- 6:15Speaker 1: been surprised at all by then?
- 6:18Speaker 3: No, not at all.
- 6:19Speaker 2: I think the game slowed down for him going back there,
- 6:22Speaker 2: and I think that's why you're seeing the improvement at
- 6:23Speaker 2: the plate.
- 6:24Speaker 3: To be honest with you, when you.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Play out of position and you have to worry about
- 6:29Speaker 2: things like that, it has a tendency to trickle in
- 6:32Speaker 2: other aspects of the game.
- 6:33Speaker 3: So we might be seeing.
- 6:35Speaker 2: The re emergence of who everyone thought Gorman can be
- 6:40Speaker 2: when he first came up and hit all the home runs.
- 6:42Speaker 2: Is now he can go back to third, take a
- 6:44Speaker 2: deep breath, be natural. All the work that he put
- 6:47Speaker 2: in at second is going to make third base even
- 6:49Speaker 2: easier for him. You got to watch Aeronauto do all
- 6:53Speaker 2: his work over there for years, so he can take
- 6:55Speaker 2: some of that incorporated in his game. And then now
- 6:58Speaker 2: he can free himself at the plate because he doesn't
- 7:00Speaker 2: have to worry about, Hey, I might be playing out
- 7:03Speaker 2: of position in the field, and then that carries over
- 7:05Speaker 2: to you're at bats. As much as you don't want
- 7:07Speaker 2: it to. It does to kids, especially if they make
- 7:10Speaker 2: an air or something like that. It just beats on him.
- 7:13Speaker 2: So now he's free can play an easy game at
- 7:15Speaker 2: third base because he's comfortable there, and now it's going
- 7:17Speaker 2: to make you more comfortable in the box. And then
- 7:19Speaker 2: we could see him just go on a tear because
- 7:21Speaker 2: he's very capable. He can hit the ball out any ballpark.
- 7:24Speaker 2: We just got to make contact. And I think you're
- 7:26Speaker 2: starting to see more and more of that. And the
- 7:28Speaker 2: more comfortable he is, the better player he's going to be,
- 7:30Speaker 2: and he's going to show you what he's capable of.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Like you said, he's following a process at the plate.
- 7:35Speaker 1: He talks about getting his foot down early. Early is
- 7:38Speaker 1: not early enough. Whatever he's doing, it's working. That's the
- 7:41Speaker 1: technical side. So you could say what you want about
- 7:45Speaker 1: the Tarp's Off Crew and the club baseball team from
- 7:48Speaker 1: Steven F. Austin. But they were three and oh. They
- 7:52Speaker 1: weren't there Saturday on the game they lost. They were
- 7:55Speaker 1: three and oh. With this ball club with the shirts
- 7:58Speaker 1: off and whooping up, I've got a lot of attention
- 8:01Speaker 1: now other cities around Major League Baseball doing their own
- 8:05Speaker 1: version of the Tarps Off Crew. Lance Lynn, you're an
- 8:08Speaker 1: old school guy. Did you like it or was it
- 8:11Speaker 1: too much?
- 8:13Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 8:13Speaker 2: I mean you're getting it's about to be summertime, suns out,
- 8:16Speaker 2: guns out, just you know, you know, sun's free. I
- 8:19Speaker 2: love it, you know, let the kids, let everybody have
- 8:21Speaker 2: fun and enjoy it. I think old school baseball people
- 8:24Speaker 2: be like, oh, we don't want people to sitting there
- 8:26Speaker 2: cheering with their shirts off, this and that. Here's the thing,
- 8:29Speaker 2: you're playing an outside sport in the middle of the summer.
- 8:33Speaker 3: Let everyone have fun and all that. You know, there's
- 8:35Speaker 3: a there's a line.
- 8:36Speaker 2: Don't cross it, but go have fun, cheer, you know,
- 8:39Speaker 2: get the get the crowd going and do its things.
- 8:41Speaker 2: So let's make sure we don't cross the line. But hey,
- 8:44Speaker 2: if you got a section for it and they wanted
- 8:46Speaker 2: to go in, go sit in that section, go do it,
- 8:49Speaker 2: and then, uh, you know, do what you gotta do.
- 8:51Speaker 2: As long as it didn't turn into like was it
- 8:52Speaker 2: the angels in the outfield where everybody's doing the angel thing?
- 8:55Speaker 3: Not everyone in the stadium is doing tarps off. That
- 8:58Speaker 3: might be when it gets.
- 8:59Speaker 2: Too much, but hey, they if the Cardinals get to
- 9:01Speaker 2: October and everyone wants to go tarps off, let it rain.
- 9:05Speaker 3: Here we go.
- 9:06Speaker 1: So some of it, like when I was out there,
- 9:08Speaker 1: some of the older fans were like, you know what
- 9:10Speaker 1: about us, we've been fans for years. Well that's great too,
- 9:13Speaker 1: but let's face it. The team was a winning crowds
- 9:16Speaker 1: kind of got quiet and smaller. But in the heyday, Lance,
- 9:20Speaker 1: you were there during some good runs by the environment
- 9:23Speaker 1: at Bush Stadium didn't need that stuff, right, It was
- 9:26Speaker 1: electric at times based on the performance of the team,
- 9:30Speaker 1: and everyone was into it.
- 9:32Speaker 2: Yeah, I will say the Cardinals fans always came out
- 9:36Speaker 2: and we're always there, right. Sometimes the energy was missing
- 9:41Speaker 2: at times, right, And I think as the game has
- 9:44Speaker 2: changed and you're trying to get younger fans, you have
- 9:46Speaker 2: to bring different elements to the game. And I remember
- 9:49Speaker 2: players coming in be like, hey man, you always had
- 9:52Speaker 2: a lot of fans, but it's like it wasn't a hostile,
- 9:55Speaker 2: like loud environment that made us like that. You never
- 9:59Speaker 2: got nervous and stuff that. They were true baseball fans.
- 10:01Speaker 2: They would cheer for the other team they make a
- 10:02Speaker 2: good play, and you go to other ballparks they would
- 10:06Speaker 2: literally boo you if you made the best play of
- 10:09Speaker 2: all time. So I think baseball fans in Saint Louis
- 10:12Speaker 2: are true baseball fans. They honor the game and stuff
- 10:15Speaker 2: like that. But you also at times have to bring
- 10:17Speaker 2: a little different energy and it's you know, it's twenty
- 10:19Speaker 2: twenty six energy in the way that fans come to
- 10:22Speaker 2: a ballpark, especially kids. You know, you're trying to get
- 10:24Speaker 2: that generation to come and enjoy the game. They're not
- 10:27Speaker 2: gonna sit there and do their you know, their their
- 10:29Speaker 2: game book right where they keep score on their own,
- 10:32Speaker 2: which is was kind of like the older way.
- 10:34Speaker 3: So now you know, we're.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Seeing a I think I think we're seeing an influx
- 10:38Speaker 2: of youth that hasn't been seen in a long time.
- 10:43Speaker 2: And you know, maybe that will be fun for some
- 10:46Speaker 2: of the older fans to see it and uh, you know,
- 10:50Speaker 2: kind of incorporate it a little bit. Where as long
- 10:52Speaker 2: as we don't go too far and alienate one side.
- 10:55Speaker 1: I'm with you, and let's let's hope that the legacy
- 10:59Speaker 1: of the Stephen at Boston Club baseball team continues. Something
- 11:04Speaker 1: seems like it might be going on with Libby. Maybe not.
- 11:07Speaker 1: We'll get Lance's thoughts after we come back from break.
- 11:10Speaker 1: You're watching Cardinal Territory on the Foul Territory Network.
- 11:14Speaker 2: We love our dog Bella, who splays out in the
- 11:17Speaker 2: open sun on our floor like she's an underwear model.
- 11:20Speaker 3: And that's why we love her so much. To scratch
- 11:22Speaker 3: her belly. She's a cutie, that Bella.

- 12:12Speaker 4: is not engaged in the business of insurance.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Last couple of starts from Matthew Libertor ran into trouble
- 12:20Speaker 1: last night. He ran into trouble in the fifth and
- 12:22Speaker 1: he was striking out everyone. Finneth with nine strikeouts. Lance
- 12:26Speaker 1: and you're a Libby guy, I'm a Libby guy. You
- 12:29Speaker 1: know him very well, You've seen him pitch. What do
- 12:32Speaker 1: you think is going on with a young guy still
- 12:34Speaker 1: twenty six who's having trouble, you know, getting past a
- 12:38Speaker 1: fifth inning or facing the batting order for a second
- 12:42Speaker 1: or third time.
- 12:44Speaker 3: It comes with learning, to be honest with you.
- 12:46Speaker 2: I think what we're seeing as a guy who has
- 12:49Speaker 2: stuff because he can cruise early in games. Right now,
- 12:52Speaker 2: the question is what is causing the blow up innings
- 12:56Speaker 2: or these things that happen as the game goes on.
- 12:59Speaker 3: Is it pitch usage?
- 13:01Speaker 2: Is it Are we doing the same thing where we're
- 13:04Speaker 2: not changing it up enough? Are we not doing are
- 13:07Speaker 2: we not using a pitch? There's a lot of different
- 13:10Speaker 2: ways that this can go. This could go down in
- 13:13Speaker 2: a deep dive. Is the question that has Is he
- 13:16Speaker 2: trying too hard as the game goes on because he's
- 13:18Speaker 2: thinking about it? Or hey, when runners get in on
- 13:22Speaker 2: score on base and the interesting son he goes to
- 13:25Speaker 2: these certain pitches at these times and he gets where
- 13:28Speaker 2: the hitters kind of know what's coming. So I think
- 13:31Speaker 2: there's a you know, the coaching staff with Dusty, they're
- 13:33Speaker 2: gonna figure it out.
- 13:35Speaker 3: His stuff plays.
- 13:36Speaker 2: Now we figure out, Hey, as a game goes on,
- 13:38Speaker 2: what things do we need to change and what things
- 13:41Speaker 2: do we not need to change. I've seen guys that go, oh, well,
- 13:44Speaker 2: I do this, this and this, and they change too
- 13:46Speaker 2: much as the game gives on. They give the hitters
- 13:48Speaker 2: too much credit, and then they get themselves in bad
- 13:50Speaker 2: counts by using pitches that they don't need to use.
- 13:53Speaker 2: Or it's hey, we've used all of our our best
- 13:56Speaker 2: three pitches all game. It's time to incorporate the fourth
- 14:00Speaker 2: pitch and as the game goes on to get you
- 14:02Speaker 2: through things. Or let's reverse the game plan because they're
- 14:06Speaker 2: on to it. Nowadays, everyone says, here's the game plan,
- 14:09Speaker 2: just stick to it.
- 14:10Speaker 3: Right.
- 14:10Speaker 2: If we're just sticking to the game plan and as
- 14:13Speaker 2: the game goes on we start getting whacked, it's time
- 14:15Speaker 2: to switch the game plan as we get going and
- 14:17Speaker 2: deeper into games. Now if we're saying, oh, as the
- 14:20Speaker 2: game goes on, it's time to switch because this worked
- 14:22Speaker 2: and they're ready for it, and then we get whacked,
- 14:24Speaker 2: it's like, hey, it worked for a reason. So there's
- 14:27Speaker 2: two methods to the madness. I guess they got to
- 14:29Speaker 2: figure out which one is going to work for him,
- 14:31Speaker 2: because Libby's very smart and he's very good at what
- 14:34Speaker 2: he does. The question is is, how can we simplify
- 14:37Speaker 2: this so he's not out here searching and it gets
- 14:40Speaker 2: in his brain a little bit more than it needs to,
- 14:41Speaker 2: because it could be an easy fix as hey, you're
- 14:44Speaker 2: cruising for a reason, let's stick to it, or hey,
- 14:47Speaker 2: we're cruising, but we have to show him this to
- 14:49Speaker 2: get them off what we've already showed him that works.
- 14:51Speaker 2: And then there's just a little bit of trickling in
- 14:54Speaker 2: another pitch as the game goes on and certain counts
- 14:59Speaker 2: and changing up pitch uses in certain counts, so these
- 15:02Speaker 2: big innings don't happen.
- 15:03Speaker 3: And we've all gone through it. It's a learning phase.
- 15:05Speaker 2: Now I just gotta figure out, Hey, what's it going
- 15:07Speaker 2: to be for you to to kind of go from hey,
- 15:09Speaker 2: I'm cruising through four into the fifth. Now I just
- 15:12Speaker 2: went seven, and then it's like, hey, that's that's something
- 15:15Speaker 2: in the past, so it will come. But it's like, hey,
- 15:18Speaker 2: the what are the reasons for these innings to happen?
- 15:21Speaker 3: So far?
- 15:23Speaker 1: I'm with you. I think Libby's a smart guy, I
- 15:25Speaker 1: think Dusty's smart. They'll figure it out. Hopefully just a
- 15:28Speaker 1: little bump in the road. But I wonder Lance because
- 15:32Speaker 1: the bullpen starting to hit some choppy water. Uh, and
- 15:36Speaker 1: Lebby was so good in the bullpen. I'm wondering, do
- 15:39Speaker 1: you think there's a temptation to say, let's switch him
- 15:43Speaker 1: back for now and settle things in the bullpen and
- 15:46Speaker 1: then bring up with Dobbins or whoever to fill a
- 15:49Speaker 1: spawn the rotation, or do you do you think that'd
- 15:51Speaker 1: be a star?
- 15:52Speaker 2: Still its starters for Libby not to be a starter.
- 15:58Speaker 3: That's the truth.
- 15:59Speaker 2: If you're looking at Libby, is your four and you have,
- 16:02Speaker 2: you know, multiple veteran starters that can throw two hundred
- 16:05Speaker 2: innings and you're gonna be a playoff team maybe, but
- 16:08Speaker 2: no Libby. This year is for Libby to figure out.
- 16:12Speaker 2: It's year two of starting, too write. Last year he.
- 16:15Speaker 3: Kind of he was an unknown. What can we do?
- 16:17Speaker 2: This year, everybody in the league knows what he's doing
- 16:20Speaker 2: and how he's doing. Now he's going to figure out
- 16:22Speaker 2: how to be a starter year in and year out.
- 16:26Speaker 2: And it's the same thing we dealt with Belante last year. Right, Hey,
- 16:29Speaker 2: they're onto this or they're onto that, and then what's
- 16:32Speaker 2: our counter if you send him to the bullpen, he's
- 16:34Speaker 2: never going to learn a counter and he's never going
- 16:36Speaker 2: to be a big league starter. He has big league
- 16:38Speaker 2: starter stuff, he's proven it. Now, how can we make
- 16:41Speaker 2: him a long term big league starter? And that's not
- 16:44Speaker 2: going back to the bullpen. Remember, this year is a
- 16:47Speaker 2: transition year, rebuild year, whatever you wanna call it. You
- 16:50Speaker 2: do not put Libby in the bullpen to at any reason,
- 16:55Speaker 2: because he is one of the guys you look at
- 16:57Speaker 2: to be in your top three year rotation year when
- 17:00Speaker 2: you're going for it, when you add veteran big league
- 17:03Speaker 2: starters that can push you to the playoffs and hopefully
- 17:05Speaker 2: a World Series championship. Because he's going to be cheaper
- 17:08Speaker 2: and he's got the stuff to be a top of
- 17:10Speaker 2: the top of the rotation guy. Now he's got to
- 17:13Speaker 2: teach him how to do it to a course of
- 17:15Speaker 2: the game, game in, in, game out. Fair enough, you
- 17:19Speaker 2: cannot do that in the bullpen, Jim, you cannot learn
- 17:21Speaker 2: to be a good big league starter in the bullpen.
- 17:23Speaker 2: I promise you that you got to get you You
- 17:25Speaker 2: got to get your ass kicked a little bit to
- 17:27Speaker 2: learn how.
- 17:28Speaker 3: To do it.
- 17:29Speaker 1: I asked about the temptation. I certainly think Libby is
- 17:33Speaker 1: a star temptation. I'm with you. You can you can find it.
- 17:35Speaker 3: Really, you can never find against starter.
- 17:37Speaker 1: I promise you that we did not dfa Lance. We
- 17:40Speaker 1: did not dfa Kyle Gibson. Cardinal Territory has Internet issues
- 17:46Speaker 1: and they crop up once in a while. It just
- 17:48Speaker 1: cropped up there. But I agree with Lance. I'm I'm
- 17:51Speaker 1: hoping that Libby strains it out because I think down
- 17:53Speaker 1: the road, hopefully toward the end of the season, he
- 17:56Speaker 1: becomes a key member of the starting rotation for your
- 18:00Speaker 1: Saint Louis Cardinals. That's gonna do it for this edition
- 18:03Speaker 1: of Cardinal Territory. We'll see you next time, and hopefully
- 18:06Speaker 1: that episode won't suck.
