- 0:00Mastery of public speaking, because 75% of people would
- 0:03rather die than speak in public, right?
- 0:05So master that. You're already 25% of the game,
- 0:0825% ahead if you master public speaking.
- 0:10The art of selling, which is one thing that we teach, we call it
- 0:13relationship acquisition. Relationship acquisition is a
- 0:16sales philosophy, principle and framework.
- 0:19The way you put relationships over revenue, right?
- 0:22Relationships over revenue. But if you master the art of
- 0:25selling, really you master the art of asking questions.
- 0:29It's like playing chess. The questions that you stack up
- 0:32lead to a checkmate, which is somebody investing in the offer
- 0:35that you have, right? So now we've got public speaking
- 0:37on our belt. We got selling on our belt,
- 0:40right? And then the third thing,
- 0:41marketing, you mentioned broadcasting earlier.
- 0:43So marketing is mass selling, right?
- 0:46It's selling to the masses, right?
- 0:48You're communicating a message to get people to go through a
- 0:51funnel or a drip campaign or a series of communications where
- 0:56they are enabled to make a decision.
- 0:58That is usually sales decision. Welcome to the Kingdom's

- 2:16Ladies and gentlemen, you once again welcome to the Kingdom's
- 2:19podcast. And today I've got with me a
- 2:23triple VIP fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil by way of
- 2:30Houston, TX. Mcwalkum Calvi, the Inspiration
- 2:35Engineer. How are you, Calvi?
- 2:38What's going on, Champions? I appreciate the opportunity for
- 2:41being here. Called a inspiration Engineer in
- 2:43the building. Let's get it.
- 2:45Whoa. The energy is massive, brother.
- 2:49Girl, guess what? Guess what, brother?
- 2:52Tomorrow. Tomorrow.
- 2:53Your boy, your homeboy is fighting Ilya Tupuria.
- 2:58Charles Olivera. Whoa, Who?
- 3:02Who are you rooting for? Who are you rooting for?
- 3:04Charles Olivera or Ilya Tupuria. You know, to be honest, I
- 3:09haven't been tapped in with the MMA man.
- 3:12I've been so on the grind and on this season, on this journey, I
- 3:15haven't been as tapped as I used to be.
- 3:18But whoever stands for the same values that we have, I'm like,
- 3:22hey, go, come out, go win it. Do the thing, You know what I
- 3:25mean? I guess they both stand for your
- 3:29values. But looking at Charles Olivera,
- 3:32he's the grassy great story from the favelas, you know, in Brazil
- 3:35to global world stage to, you know, lightweight champion of
- 3:39the world. That's the story.
- 3:41That's the that's what you stand for and that's what you know,
- 3:45you represent, you know, that is making it in life against all
- 3:49odds and be being a good person, being a resourceful person, you
- 3:54know, you are the voice behind the vibe, you know, and of
- 3:58course, I'm really honoured and grateful to to have you on the
- 4:01podcast today. Like I always love to say,
- 4:03gratitude is good attitude. And when a person shares the
- 4:06time with you, they share their life with you and never take you
- 4:10for granted. So how they is the French word
- 4:14for engineer? And of course, you know, you
- 4:18refer to yourself as the inspiration engineer in your own
- 4:21words. And of course, let's try to peel
- 4:22it back. You know, let's meet the man or
- 4:26the myth, the legend, the man behind the method.
- 4:30So how would you describe yourself in a nutshell?
- 4:32Yeah, man, I think as something that people need to understand
- 4:36is the world is going to try to box you in, right?
- 4:39It's the way that we process information really quickly.
- 4:42We stereotype information because we want it fast.
- 4:44But the problem was, yeah, I think a lot of people, we
- 4:47associate identity to something that you do.
- 4:50And there's two sides of this, right?
- 4:52They say on the pessimistic side, the Jack of all trades is
- 4:56the master of none, right. But on the optimistic.
- 4:59Side lies. Right, the Jim Rome to the
- 5:02world, they say the more value you have, the more value you can
- 5:05offer to the marketplace. But I'm going to add something
- 5:07to that Jim Rome quote, right? That's if all of your skills
- 5:10funnel under the same umbrella, right?
- 5:13If you're in marketing, let's say you do SEO, copy ads,
- 5:16branding, like people understand that.
- 5:18But for me, as far as like what I did, my identity at the time,
- 5:22I was a poet, songwriter, rapper, singer, audio engineer,
- 5:25which I still am, which is the engineer part of that
- 5:27motivational speaker, right? Marketer, event coordinator,
- 5:31event promoter and operations on events.
- 5:33I was 10 things. So I went to my community,
- 5:35right? And I was like, look, when I was
- 5:37in the Chamber of Commerce, I was more like the sales guy or
- 5:40the marketing guy. When I was around artist, I was
- 5:41the musician or the poet or the, you know what I mean?
- 5:43And I kept changing it up around who I was around.
- 5:46It made me feel inauthentic. I was like, yo, I need y'all.
- 5:51I went to my community. I was like, I need y'all's help
- 5:53because this is a problem, right?
- 5:55And I was like, I feel inauthentic to myself.
- 5:58So they took ten titles, narrowed it down and voted on
- 6:01five, five titles narrowed it down to 2.
- 6:03Two titles narrowed it down to 1.
- 6:05And Inspiration Entrepreneur was born and they they did that.
- 6:08And so that's what I would tell people is like, you got to find
- 6:11what is true to you. And I'm true to myself 2000%.
- 6:14Transparency is one of our core values.
- 6:16I am very authentic and I think a lot of people in the world, we
- 6:18don't have enough of self-awareness around who we
- 6:21are, what we stand for, what we're about, and we're listening
- 6:25to many voices. And so all I say is like saying
- 6:28that is you got to get clear on your identity.
- 6:30And the Inspiration Engineer is a hybrid of a few things that is
- 6:34here to really uplift the world and awaken dreamers.
- 6:36That's my mission. Wow.
- 6:39I guess you're probably like a clone of myself seated in
- 6:42Brazil, and certainly between Brazil and America.
- 6:45Anybody who follows this podcast very, very closely has
- 6:50definitely heard the same exact things that you've said coming
- 6:55from me, you know, talking about self identity, self-awareness,
- 7:01you know, talking about authenticity.
- 7:03I always say that I am actually an endangered species because
- 7:07I'm the most authentic person walking the surface of the
- 7:10earth. And of course, I think you are
- 7:11the second most authentic, fortunately.
- 7:13Sorry about close second, you know OK, no second you know
- 7:18I'll. I'll be robbing, right?
- 7:22I will be robbing to your Batman.
- 7:26You know, like you have had like a lot of transformations in your
- 7:31life, you know, from homeless to Huffington Post, you know, from
- 7:35college dropout to becoming a TE DX speaker.
- 7:38It's quite adventurous. It's electric.
- 7:41But what was that exact, you know, moment that's packed your
- 7:45transformation as a person? Yeah, I think it's a good
- 7:49question. I'm going to take it back,
- 7:50though. I'm going to take it back to age
- 7:525, because that's really where it started.
- 7:53From age 5 to age 11, I had two great parents.
- 7:56My father used to give me these hero speeches.
- 7:58Anybody, son, anything you want to do, you can do.
- 8:00Anything you want to be. You can be like, you set your
- 8:02mind to it, you can do it. So my third first actor.
- 8:04Brought me into. Studio and was allowing me to
- 8:07put my poetry on his music and then he asked me a wild
- 8:10question. He said I don't want to check it
- 8:12out. He's like, you want to make a
- 8:13beat like right now. And I was like, yeah, done.
- 8:17Like, let's get it right. So I start making a beat and I'm
- 8:20eleven years old and I go into a peak state, right?
- 8:23And at a peak state, I didn't know that's what it was, but we
- 8:26were there for four hours. It felt like I was there for 5
- 8:29minutes. So it worked.
- 8:30Me and my dad, I'm from the Midwest.
- 8:32We're playing basketball the next day.
- 8:33And I said, dad, dad, I figured out what I'm going to do.
- 8:35I figured out what I'm going to do in my life and what I'm going
- 8:37to be in my dad's anxiety. What is this?
- 8:38So what is it you're going to do?
- 8:39What is it you're going to be? So I'm going to be a musician.
- 8:42And my dad goes, you can't do that.
- 8:47And I'm like, for eight years you've been telling me, or
- 8:49approximately you've been telling me I can do what I want
- 8:52to do. And now you're telling me I
- 8:53can't do something. So my dad already said gave me
- 8:57that gift of ferocity. And I was like, all right, I'm
- 9:00going to prove you wrong. That was what it was all about.
- 9:02And I became locally famous at age 18.
- 9:05We sold out a concert of 1209 people.
- 9:08I made my high school 12th grade and from that that showed me
- 9:12because as I was backstage before I even came out, my rap
- 9:15name was Artistic R-TI STIC. Before I even came out, they was
- 9:20like, and it's getting louder and louder like Gladiator, like
- 9:23are you not entertained? Like you know what I'm saying?
- 9:25Like I'm just, I'm just so ready to kill the stage.
- 9:28And so from that, that showed me what is possible, right?
- 9:32And what is so mind blowing around what you were sharing was
- 9:36in 2016, I was homeless and I was sleeping under the 290
- 9:40bridge in Austin, TX, working at Starbucks, walking across the
- 9:44street as my office. And the irony of this was my
- 9:47very first student that I had inside the Calvay umbrella.
- 9:50Like as I was really understanding what Calvay LLC
- 9:53was and what it does, I helped him break 6 figures, become the
- 9:56number one salesperson at Zillow, a $34 billion company at
- 10:00the time. He was leading in the Northeast
- 10:02division and I leveraged that asset to get an article written
- 10:06about me in the Huffington Post and was like the strategist to
- 10:09watch. And so it was just crazy was
- 10:11while I'm literally sleeping in the cold with us, you know, a
- 10:15sleeping bag, all these things walking to work, which is
- 10:18Starbucks. I'm getting this article written
- 10:20about me and it just is a dichotomy.
- 10:22When we look at success and we look at people that are, you
- 10:25know, crushing it, people we admire, whatever, you never know
- 10:27what they went through and what they had to go through in order
- 10:30to be where they are. And that was what it was.
- 10:32And from helping to help from homeless to Huffington Post is
- 10:35what it what it became. You know, people don't see the
- 10:39pain behind the gains. They don't see the story behind
- 10:42the glory. And that's something I very much
- 10:45leave for. I love to support, like what I
- 10:50say, ordinary people that are doing extraordinary things.
- 10:54That was the initial, you know what I say Moto for this
- 10:57podcast, you know, sharing stories of ordinary people doing
- 11:02extraordinary things. And that is still at the bedrock
- 11:05of what I do today. So we've gone through, you know,
- 11:10a lot of rebranding and restructuring over time and
- 11:14right now it's growth mindset, leadership and pieces inside.
- 11:19But you, if you look deeply at between the lines, you see it's
- 11:24still pretty much the same thing.
- 11:25You know, growth mindset, you have actually achieved
- 11:29exponential growth over time. And of course, you have actually
- 11:34become an example of leadership and not just leadership of
- 11:39others, self leadership as well. And of course, business.
- 11:43Your business man at heart, your business acumen man is top of
- 11:48the food chain. And just alluding to what you
- 11:51were talking about. We, we, we, your father.
- 11:55Something similar happened with me and my father as well.
- 11:58You know, growing up in Nigeria, I, when I was going to
- 12:02university, I told my dad, oh, my dad asked me what you want to
- 12:06study and I told him I want to study mass communication.
- 12:08I want to become a broadcaster and like what?
- 12:11Like come on, become a professional, blah, blah, blah.
- 12:14You know, African parents want you to be one of the mainstream
- 12:17professionals because they want you to make your bread.
- 12:20You know, they don't want you to suffer reach very much, you
- 12:25know, understood. And today I'm grateful, you
- 12:28know, for, for that guidance because when I look back in
- 12:32time, I was able to work with two of the global Geek for
- 12:36accounting firms, you know, an international NGO that gave me
- 12:40that global, you know, institutional affiliation,
- 12:44global perspective, analytical skills that still help me till
- 12:49today. You know, there's something
- 12:50about having a high level of education.
- 12:52It makes you polished, right? But I wanna I wouldn't ask
- 12:56something for the listeners though, right, because I feel
- 12:58like a lot of cultures, they're trying to honour their parents
- 13:01and your parents have an idea of what is success for their kids,
- 13:05right Ultimately, most parents, good parents, they want their
- 13:08kids to be successful and have money and not have stress and
- 13:11worry. But for.
- 13:12My. Parents that looked like a
- 13:13pension, that looked like retirement with a pension.
- 13:16Go be a doctor, go be a lawyer. And what I found is that whether
- 13:20it's Nigeria, whether it's parts of India, different cultures
- 13:24like America's, not like it's different in the sense of, I
- 13:28would say our whole values around freedom and the things
- 13:30that is propaganda that we push. Out to the American Dream.
- 13:34Yeah, what it was and what it is, you know, the, the
- 13:38propaganda is like be free, go chase your dream.
- 13:41Where in a lot of countries it's like, listen to your parents,
- 13:43honour your parents, honour your elders, honour what they're
- 13:45saying. What a lot of people feel, kids,
- 13:47especially teenagers especially, is if I go chase my dream, I'm
- 13:51dishonouring my parents. And it's like, no, you don't
- 13:54have to do I. I knew a girl, she was from
- 13:56India and she, she had a four bedroom house that her father
- 13:59helped her establish. She wanted to be an event
- 14:03promoter and event coordinator. So I was like, her name was
- 14:06Aarti. I was like Aarti, when are you
- 14:07going to launch this event business?
- 14:08And she was like, well, my dad doesn't want me to do it.
- 14:10And she's a 28 year old woman and I'm.
- 14:12Like joking. Yeah, no, I'm not.
- 14:14I was like, but you got 3 rooms that you can rent out on air
- 14:18being flip that money and build this event business.
- 14:21She was like, but my dad doesn't want me to do it and I'm like So
- 14:25what? You know what I mean?
- 14:26I say So what respectively to the parents all I'm trying to
- 14:29get people to understand what you just said and what I'm just
- 14:31saying about my father. You're not dishonouring your
- 14:34parents or. Your.
- 14:36By going after your vision and your dream, you are actually
- 14:40honouring them. But make sure you come with a
- 14:42game plan and a playbook and you are executing so that you can
- 14:47again give them release that you are going to be successful
- 14:51right? You want to make sure that your
- 14:52actions match your word play so as.
- 14:54You are honouring them. With your vision and your dream
- 14:57and you're on the road to success.
- 14:59Make sure that you're giving them the assets that they need
- 15:02to be like, OK, my son, my daughter, or fill in the blank,
- 15:05whatever you identify. If I ask, they are on the path
- 15:08to success. And that could look like, you
- 15:10know, it looks different for everybody.
- 15:11But that would be my advice to the kids and the teenagers out
- 15:14there. Absolutely.
- 15:15I really, really appreciate that insight that you just dropped.
- 15:18You know, those are golden Nuggets.
- 15:21And you know, let's try to talk along those lines, right?
- 15:25For me, for example, I wanted to be a broadcaster, but today I'm
- 15:31leaving that dream. I'm a podcaster, you know, and
- 15:34that is the new mainstream media, right?
- 15:38I never, I never give up on my dreams, right?
- 15:41Me honouring my parents, you know, right now as a podcaster,
- 15:46they, they're proud of what I do.
- 15:49Last month, leasing notes listed me as global top 10%, right?
- 15:55Right. You know what it means to be
- 15:59global top 10% in any field of endeavour.
- 16:02Just to give you context, there are over 3.7 million podcasts in
- 16:07the world and to be in the top 10%.
- 16:12And right now, at the end of this month, we are going to be
- 16:15top 5%, right? It's very important to chase
- 16:19excellence. You know, in life, you know,
- 16:22especially this, this goes out to the young people out there,
- 16:25Chase excellence, anything that you do.
- 16:28I was talking about the education, how much I appreciate
- 16:31the education that I have. But education alone would not
- 16:34take you there, right? Your greed, your determination,
- 16:38your consistency, your courage. You know, your curiosity, You
- 16:46have to have a learning mindset. You know, a lot of people are
- 16:49fixed in terms of their mindset. And of course, that is why one
- 16:55of the major themes of this podcast is growth mindset.
- 16:59You need a growth mindset in order for you to level up in
- 17:03life. And there's a book I read, and
- 17:08my father actually keeps typing that book, The Jewish
- 17:11Phenomenon. You see how the Jews are very
- 17:13successful as an ethnic group in America and they abide by 7
- 17:18principles. One of the principles is that
- 17:21successful people are professionals and entrepreneurs.
- 17:25If you want to be regarded as as a successful person on this
- 17:30planet Earth, I don't know about Pluto, I don't know about Mars,
- 17:34I don't know about Venice, but I know about planet Earth.
- 17:37For you to be regarded as a successful person, you have to
- 17:40be either of two things, a high level professional or a high
- 17:45level entrepreneur. Thanks.
- 17:48Well, you know, because I told you I was locally famous when I
- 17:51was age 18, right? And I told you off air in the
- 17:55green room, I'm still growing today, right?
- 17:58I'm master the venture capital game ain't nothing changed,
- 18:01right? I'm just playing at a higher
- 18:02level with higher calibre people, celebrities, athletes
- 18:06like influencers, a lot of people that everybody know.
- 18:08I'm still playing the same game of navigating community,
- 18:11navigating relationships, you know, leveraging.
- 18:14And when I say leverage, you know, I love the saying it's
- 18:17like you can use somebody or you can utilise somebody.
- 18:20Those are not the same, right? Absolutely.
- 18:22Everybody has the opportunity to be utilised.
- 18:25There's a difference. And so when you're utilising and
- 18:27you're leveraging, we are all 7° of separation of your circle,
- 18:31who you like. Minds like grinds, right?
- 18:33Eagles don't fly with pigeons. So with the, you want to get in
- 18:37the rooms in the circles where you can be with the growth
- 18:41minded folks, you've got growth minded advisors, growth minded
- 18:46people where you're at, right, your peers, your colleagues and
- 18:50always looking at what is the next thing for me to level up.
- 18:54And I tell a lot of people like if you're just getting started
- 18:56on your journey, you should always have your prerequisites
- 18:59down. And to me, there are three
- 19:00things that are prereqs. And when you go to college,
- 19:02that's what I mean by prereqs, your core studies, right?
- 19:06Mastery of public speaking, because 75% of people would
- 19:09rather die than speak in public, right?
- 19:11So master that. You're already 25% of the game,
- 19:1425% ahead if you master public speaking.
- 19:17The art of selling, which is one thing that we teach, we call it
- 19:19relationship acquisition. Relationship acquisition is a
- 19:23sales philosophy, principle and framework, the way you put
- 19:26relationships over revenue, right, relationships over
- 19:29revenue. But if you master the art of
- 19:31selling, really you master the art of asking questions.
- 19:35It's like playing chess. The questions that you stack up
- 19:38lead to a checkmate, which is somebody investing in the offer
- 19:41that you have, right? So now we've got public speaking
- 19:44on our belt. We got selling on our belt,
- 19:46right? And then the third thing,
- 19:48marketing, you mentioned broadcasting earlier.
- 19:50So marketing is mass selling, right?
- 19:53It's selling to the passes, right?
- 19:55You're communicating a message to get people to go through a
- 19:58funnel or a drip campaign or a series of communications where
- 20:03they are enabled to make a decision.
- 20:05That is usually a sales decision.
- 20:07If you get those three skills under your your your tool belt,
- 20:11I call it your skill stack. You're, you're so far ahead of
- 20:15the market. And that's what I tell a lot of
- 20:16people to master. And I would throw in one more of
- 20:18those, which will be AI now, because we see how fast AI is
- 20:22moving. I need to upgrade our skill
- 20:24stack, right? But to be knowledgeable on the
- 20:26the flow of AI and what it can do in the different tools.
- 20:29Those are the four things I would tell anybody.
- 20:31You get this in your skill stack on your tool belt and you will
- 20:34be a beast. And don't stop there.
- 20:37Keep learning, keep growing, keep understanding.
- 20:39And then you know, at some point I'll be that guy that's teaching
- 20:43people venture capital because a lot of people don't know how to
- 20:44raise money, how to talk to investors, how to play that
- 20:47game. And it's just another game.
- 20:48And look at it ways of level up in life, playing these different
- 20:52games, and they're all just different games of life.
- 20:56You can see him smiling, right? Because what what you're saying
- 20:59is giving me joy and I'm going to break it down, you know, and
- 21:05corroborate what you're saying. First, you talked about the
- 21:11difference between using people and being utilised, right?
- 21:15But I only say this in life we all have to be used.
- 21:19Let's just face the fact if you cannot be used, it means you are
- 21:25useless. That's what I tell people.
- 21:28It's just a fact. Life is about service and go
- 21:33check out episode 100 of my podcast.
- 21:35It was about customer service. Everything we're doing this test
- 21:39is service. The greatest leaders in life are
- 21:457 leaders. You cannot elevate in life
- 21:50without 7 people. Go check out the greatest human
- 21:55beings, the greatest leaders in life.
- 21:57Jesus Christ, Prophet Muhammad, George Washington, George Bush,
- 22:04Bill Clinton, any any leader. They are all sevens.
- 22:12Abraham Lincoln, mention anybody, Mahatma Gandhi,
- 22:16Christian Churchill, they are all sevens, right?
- 22:20Service to humanity is the greatest form of pride you can
- 22:29ever have as a human being. It's the greatest song of
- 22:32achievement. I'll tell you something that
- 22:34that's really profound, right? The the same father who I love,
- 22:38by the way, who didn't see the greatness in me, was also the
- 22:41same father that gave me one of the greatest quotes I've ever
- 22:44had and said, son, make sure you live a life with no regrets.
- 22:48Absolutely. Regrets, right?
- 22:50And when you mentioned pride, for me, it's not about pride,
- 22:53it's about, you know, you can have the pain of discipline or
- 22:55the pain of regret, but you're going to have one of those
- 22:57pains. So you might as well choose and
- 22:59choose today. And I would encourage you,
- 23:01employ you to choose the pain of discipline, right?
- 23:04Because there's pains on. Both sides.
- 23:06But to be fulfilled and to have what I think most people want,
- 23:10which is peace and joy. You know, it's like people are
- 23:12chasing money but they really don't want money.
- 23:15They want peace and joy and fulfilment.
- 23:19And I think in order to have the higher level of consciousness,
- 23:23which is peace, joy, and what you'll see on the actual gramme
- 23:28as far as like chakras and all this is enlightenment, to be
- 23:31enlightened at the highest level of that, I think it's going to
- 23:35be being of service to humanity. And when you say your mission is
- 23:41bigger than any type of of platform that you want to
- 23:45create, and I'll give you an example of that, right?
- 23:4755% of startups fail within the five years.
- 23:50Why is that? Well, we believe we have a
- 23:52framework as to why that is and the things that people are going
- 23:54from going through and building from, which is usually it starts
- 23:58with being edified as a child, right?
- 24:00People, somebody speaking greatness over you as a child,
- 24:03that's where it starts. But I say that saying 85%
- 24:07people, men and women worldwide work a job that they hate.
- 24:12Why is that? What it?
- 24:14What would life look like? I just want y'all to imagine it
- 24:16for a moment. What would it look like if 85%
- 24:19of people work on things they loved, things that they would do
- 24:23for free And that was what our world consisted of, people
- 24:25working on dreams. Like what would our world, how
- 24:28would our world be different with that approach?
- 24:30But I say that saying my mission is to awaken dreamers and really
- 24:34to empower black and brown kids throughout the world to
- 24:36understand entrepreneurialism. Because if they understand that,
- 24:38then they ain't got to steal and hustle and do all these shady
- 24:42deals, theft or whatever it is to get it, sell drugs, whatever
- 24:45it is. I used to say something funny.
- 24:46I say, if you're going to sell drugs, sell vitamins, right?
- 24:49Like it's just your, it's just your perspective and your
- 24:51approach, right? But they don't see an outlet.
- 24:54So the poverty around them and the community around them,
- 24:56usually these are called barrios in, in Latin America.
- 24:59What they see around them is like grit.
- 25:02And what I did, it's a fit. It's a perfect fit for the topic
- 25:04of this episode. It's like grit and griminess and
- 25:08it's like you don't got to be grimy, you don't got to be
- 25:10gritty. You can again, serve at the
- 25:12highest, at the highest level. But I think that a mission
- 25:16attached to that means that you will look back whenever you're
- 25:19on your deathbed and you know you're about to exit up out of
- 25:21here and transition. It's like I can look back on the
- 25:24people I touch. I can look back at the messages
- 25:26I had. I can look back at the places
- 25:28and the countries I travelled to and I can say I did that.
- 25:31And I think that gives you a sense of contentment.
- 25:34I think pride and ego. Be careful of pride and ego, but
- 25:37tap to I am content. I am well pleased with the life
- 25:41that I lived and I think that is what true success is, as how
- 25:44many lives you can touch, how many people you can impact and
- 25:47how many people you can serve. Fantastic.
- 25:51Absolutely true. No lies told.
- 25:54I've ever heard of the Abraham Maslow's Hercule needs, right?
- 25:59It's it's a pyramid with five levels and the fifth level is
- 26:04what everybody's actually looking for.
- 26:07And the fifth level is self actualization.
- 26:10Right on the base of the triangle is physiological needs.
- 26:14You know, your air, water, food, shelter, sleep, clothing,
- 26:19reproduction. Once you have the physiological
- 26:22needs, you now get to start thinking of the safety needs,
- 26:27personal security, employment, resources, health, property.
- 26:32Once you have those, then you start thinking about love and
- 26:36belonging, friendship, intimacy, you know, family, sense of
- 26:41connection, sense of belonging. Once you get that, the next
- 26:45thing you start thinking of is team respect, self esteem,
- 26:50theatres, recognition, strength, freedom.
- 26:52And once you have that, the next thing is self actualization, the
- 26:56desire to become the most that you can become in life, right?
- 27:00What people do not realise is everybody's chasing self
- 27:03actualization, but they think they're chasing money.
- 27:08Well, you know, something interesting and I'm I'm glad you
- 27:11said that. I was listening to Brandon
- 27:13Bouchard, which if you're not familiar with Brandon Bouchard,
- 27:15I worked with a lot of billionaires and like high level
- 27:17multimillionaires. And even Oprah was publicly
- 27:20said, you know, she was working with Tony Robbins because even a
- 27:23billionaire Oprah, she was having imposter syndrome.
- 27:26Think about that for a moment, right?
- 27:29You've done really hit all the checkpoints when we look at, and
- 27:34I say this loosely because you've got fleshly checkpoints,
- 27:37things in flesh that we say is success and you got spiritual
- 27:40checkpoints like what matters to the creator of life.
- 27:42All right, Those two are not the same depending on what religion
- 27:46or spirituality you subscribe to.
- 27:48But I say that saying in the flesh, we look at, you know, you
- 27:51got a nice car, you got a nice house, you got a beautiful woman
- 27:55or beautiful guy or whatever you enjoy when it comes to intimacy
- 27:59since you brought that up and then you've got these accolades,
- 28:02right? You are successful.
- 28:04But even some of the most quote unquote successful people are
- 28:08still having, if you want to call it identity crisis.
- 28:12You know why? Self actualization?
- 28:15What was that? Yeah, self actualization is what
- 28:18everybody's chasing, right? According to to to Abraham
- 28:21Maslow, you know your neck of the woods American, a
- 28:24psychologist and philosopher. But I'll tell you this, my
- 28:28birthday is April, April 8th. And on my birthday I came up
- 28:32with this, you know, philosophical construct and I'm
- 28:37going to share with you and you'll see that is what
- 28:39addresses what you're talking about.
- 28:41Now I've interviewed over 100 individuals, successful
- 28:46individuals in different fields, but I had to sit down, you know,
- 28:51and think about it like what is an all around successful person?
- 28:57Who is a well-rounded successful person?
- 28:59What do you need to be successful and be considered as
- 29:04a well-rounded successful person?
- 29:07And it brought me to one word. Do you want to know what that
- 29:11one word is? Yeah, hit me with it.
- 29:14Fitness, fitness, right? But it's not just fitness.
- 29:21Fitness has four quadrants. 4 quadrants #1 you have to be
- 29:29mentally slash emotionally fit #2 you have to be physically fit
- 29:38#3 you have to be financially fit and #4 you'd need to be
- 29:44spiritually fit. If you have those 4, uncheck.
- 29:49Then you're well-rounded successful person.
- 29:53Can I, can I play Angel's advocate to that for a moment,
- 29:56have some that philosophy 1 moment?
- 29:58I don't disagree with that in, in its totality.
- 30:01I don't disagree with that. I think having those principles
- 30:03and having those pillars, I think anybody that accepts that
- 30:07acknowledges that and you know, implements that they will have
- 30:11success. But I'll say a couple things.
- 30:13You know, there's so many people.
- 30:15I, I personally am very challenged by this and I know
- 30:18that many people are challenged by this.
- 30:20The hardest thing in life is to keep everything balanced, right?
- 30:24You got to work your team members or your employees.
- 30:28You've got your romance life. You got keeping fun in that
- 30:32bucket and making sure you're still taking care of yourself.
- 30:34You got your growth, you got your professional development,
- 30:37you got your coaching or your mentors, you got your friends
- 30:40that you try to keep touch with. You got your family that you try
- 30:42to keep touch with. Which by the way, This is why I
- 30:44love Instagram Stories and Facebook Stories because I keep
- 30:47up with so many people, which is a matter of five seconds, right?
- 30:50But I say that same keeping everything balanced in my
- 30:54experience is by far the hardest thing to do.
- 30:58And that is hard for everybody because the people that you
- 31:02admire, whether it's the Eric Thomas or the Elon Musk's or the
- 31:05Mark Cuban's, and we can name drop all the names, they may not
- 31:08have that that physically fit box.
- 31:10Checked. Don't have many of them.
- 31:13Don't have it. Let let.
- 31:13Let's not deceive ourselves, you know.
- 31:15Let's not deceive ourselves so. So here's.
- 31:17Most people don't have it. Here's.
- 31:19Here's what I would add, or here's what I would.
- 31:20Just something for you to consider.
- 31:22It's not gonna add. It's just something to consider.
- 31:25What do you deem as successful? Right.
- 31:29Success, I think is relative. I was dating this girl and we
- 31:32didn't we. I thought I was going to get
- 31:34married. Tread up like I like.
- 31:35I wasn't chasing it. It came to me.
- 31:39Beautiful man proposes, God disposes.
- 31:42Well, this is what was so powerful.
- 31:43What I'm saying Like, everybody's different, right?
- 31:46Her goal was to be a mother. That was her goal, her
- 31:51objective. And though she has some things
- 31:53that she was doing, like that was the primary thing.
- 31:55And I told her straight out, I said, look, I want kids, but I'm
- 31:58married to this business right now.
- 32:00And for me to honour you, I got to put time and I will make time
- 32:03for you. Like like I make time for
- 32:05anybody that means something to me, like ever.
- 32:07Like, time is not the situation, but I ain't got time for kids
- 32:10right now. Like that's not gonna work.
- 32:12Yeah. Everything that I'm putting in,
- 32:14all energy goes into my baby, and my baby is my empire.
- 32:18It's not one business is an ecosystem of businesses.
- 32:20And so with that stated, I already knew that I'm not the
- 32:24best fit to supply that need. Absolutely.
- 32:28That came up with maybe not grandparents, maybe they didn't
- 32:31have good parents, maybe they were or whatever the situation.
- 32:34And that's a great goal and that could be successful to them.
- 32:37I want to have you maybe, maybe you want to adopt some kids and
- 32:40you want to be what you didn't have, right?
- 32:42And that could be successful for you.
- 32:44So I think for me, it really comes down to getting aware of
- 32:48what is success, right? It doesn't take as much money to
- 32:52go and live in Thailand or go and live in Philippines or
- 32:55Vietnam or there's multiple places throughout the world
- 32:57where it doesn't take a lot of money.
- 32:59People think to travel the world.
- 33:01It takes a tonne of money and it doesn't.
- 33:03And so all I'm getting that. And, and reason why I say this
- 33:06is because I think, I definitely think people need to have the
- 33:08mental piece down for sure. It's a mental fit and it's a
- 33:11spiritual fit. What a David Goggins calls
- 33:13putting a callus on, on your, on your soul, right?
- 33:17Putting a callus because the more hard adversities you go
- 33:19through is going to strengthen your character.
- 33:21So I think that that is super important for everybody,
- 33:25everybody. Strengthen your character.
- 33:26Please hold that I have something.
- 33:28Yeah. Yeah, facts, you know,
- 33:29strengthen your character for sure.
- 33:31I think if you want longevity in life, the fuel, notice I didn't
- 33:36say food, the fuel that you put into your body, working out and
- 33:41exercising. I don't think there's too many
- 33:43people that are going to argue that that will contribute the
- 33:46probability of longevity. You have a much higher
- 33:49probability if you're doing that, no?
- 33:51It does. It does contribute to that.
- 33:53Let's not deceive ourselves. That's why even the medical guys
- 33:57say you're what you eat, you know?
- 33:58Absolutely. So here's the last part that
- 34:00I'll throw on there. Not everybody's trying to be a
- 34:03multimillionaire or a billionaire.
- 34:04Most of those people are hoarding wealth.
- 34:06If we're going to be straight up about it, we're really going to
- 34:08be honest. So all I'm saying is money to me
- 34:11is not the checkbox, right? Are you doing something in your
- 34:16life that brings you joy and fulfilment that you are
- 34:18passionate about, that also brings you profit?
- 34:21And if you're doing that, you are successful, whatever amount
- 34:25of money that is. Teachers don't make money, a lot
- 34:28of money in the United States of America.
- 34:30I don't know what that's like for UK or Nigeria.
- 34:32Even the UK and Nigeria, they don't make much money they don't
- 34:36make. Money.
- 34:37But if your goal is to be the greatest teacher and professor
- 34:41and you're sowing into your children or your students or
- 34:44your teens or your young adults, you are successful.
- 34:47So it's not to me relative to how much money you have in your
- 34:50bank account. Are you doing something you're
- 34:52passionate about? Does that passion make you
- 34:55profit? And are you of service to
- 34:58community? And if you check in those boxes,
- 35:01then I would go ahead and stamp in and say now you're
- 35:03financially fit. So basically, what is success to
- 35:10you? To me, for me, what is success
- 35:17for me is when I bring all the visions, the dreams, the ideas
- 35:21that I have, because there's a lot up here.
- 35:23That's why we started building this VC startup studio.
- 35:26But when I bring it all to the marketplace, right, and become
- 35:30from me now this is me. You asked me mine, right to be
- 35:34famous. I've already been that.
- 35:36Like I don't care about fame. I don't care about money.
- 35:38Those things don't don't light me up, right?
- 35:41But the vision that I have faith is in, it's inevitable from what
- 35:44I'm going to create. So it's a byproduct of the
- 35:46impact that I'm going to have. And so from that standpoint,
- 35:50then it's about for me, what biblically is said is treasures
- 35:53in heaven and treasures in heaven.
- 35:55For those of you that subscribe to biblical philosophies,
- 35:58principles, and scriptures, it's to sow into this world to the
- 36:01poor, to the orphans, and to widows and you're giving them
- 36:05money. There's money usually, and
- 36:08you're uplifting those communities and you're not
- 36:10talking about it publicly. You ain't doing it for press.
- 36:13You ain't doing it for accolades.
- 36:14You ain't doing it for humans to tell you you're great.
- 36:17This is who you are and what you stand for.
- 36:18And this is by God. This is covenant by God, right?
- 36:22That is success to me. And so I will say I am focused
- 36:26on my fleshly goals more something my treasures in heaven
- 36:29right now. But there will come a time there
- 36:32will come a time when that changes.
- 36:34And so lastly, you know my I have a fleshly purpose, which I
- 36:38told you all, I have a spiritual purpose too, and it ultimately
- 36:41is to make the creator of life happy.
- 36:42So as long as I've done those two things, then that is success
- 36:47to me. OK, I like that.
- 36:50So from me, I'd say I love, I love to observe people in
- 36:54society. I'm a social scientist.
- 36:56If I were to put a construct to success based on observing
- 37:00society, I would say success is a state of mind wherein after a
- 37:06person is set a goal, they work towards it and they achieve it.
- 37:09Tick box that is success. General definition.
- 37:12But from my own perspective as a modern day business philosopher,
- 37:17as endowed by Morgan Anderson, one of the top tax debt
- 37:22resolution experts in the United States, the CEO of Golden Lion
- 37:26Tax Solutions, she said you are a modern day business
- 37:30philosopher. Based on my philosophy, success
- 37:33is the ability to optimise passion, profits and impact.
- 37:40If you're able to optimise your passion, your profits and your
- 37:44impact, then I would regard you as successful.
- 37:48That is my own yardstick. I think people, we need to get
- 37:53clear on what that does mean, right?
- 37:55Does a monk have the same idea of success that I shared or that
- 38:00you shared, right? I think everybody, you served
- 38:02very well to make sure that you know, just for yourself, because
- 38:07it's about you. It's your life, people.
- 38:08It's not, you know, it's, it's not me for me to set the
- 38:11criteria for your life. And I think that's where parents
- 38:14go wrong with their children is they try to set the criteria.
- 38:19God bless you. It's.
- 38:20Life and it's like no, your child is not your property.
- 38:24You don't own them. You are a guide.
- 38:26And this is to about maybe age 1314 and it depends culture to
- 38:30culture, but you no longer be our parent at some point,
- 38:34meaning that your role transitions into more of a
- 38:37mentor and to understand that your child is going to be
- 38:40mentored. I, I don't think that a parent
- 38:42raises a child. I think that a neighbourhood
- 38:44does and a community does. It takes a community to raise a
- 38:46child. It takes a village to raise a
- 38:49child and I think a lot of parents don't get for our
- 38:51parents out there, we love you. I I support you.
- 38:53Now I want to here parents can get paying philosophy around
- 39:00this criteria that you set because you're actually putting
- 39:02a, if we're being honest, you're putting a weight around your
- 39:06child's neck, right? You're not trying to, it's not
- 39:08your intention, but based on this criteria that you said that
- 39:12you're not God. You don't know what's in their
- 39:13future. You don't know what they're
- 39:14passionate about. You don't know what they're
- 39:16designed to do with their life. It's their purpose.
- 39:18It's their purpose, not yours. So with that statement, if you
- 39:23set this, this weight and this criteria over them, they're
- 39:27going to do their best, most children to honour you and that
- 39:30criteria. And then that's not your
- 39:32responsibility. Your responsibility is to give
- 39:34them tools and to give them opportunities and ideas and ways
- 39:38to be great, whatever greatness looks like for them.
- 39:42And I think hopefully we get that clip on a high bar because
- 39:45I need that because that's the truth.
- 39:47Like that's what it is. I think a lot of parents miss.
- 39:49That. And they're putting them into
- 39:51this box of like, you know, you need to do this for me and it's
- 39:55not your life parent, it's the child's life.
- 39:57So I'll say one last thing on this.
- 39:59And this is really powerful. I used to work for this merger
- 40:01and acquisition company and they found the same concept because
- 40:07parents that were setting up basically a successor plan and
- 40:10now they're basically having the child now, you know, older
- 40:13child, it's a adult now, but come in like work at the
- 40:16business, learn everything about the business with the intention
- 40:19of one day you're going to take over the business.
- 40:23Again, that's a criteria that you set on them that puts a
- 40:25challenge on them. So majority of businesses that
- 40:27have an emerging acquisition strategy like this where they're
- 40:30going to success it off and you didn't make sure that they love
- 40:32this business, you're setting them up to fail more or less.
- 40:35You're setting your own business fail because they're not
- 40:38passionate about the work you do, you're passionate about the
- 40:40work you do. So you want to understand like
- 40:44what is the best for my child and help them fulfil their
- 40:48purpose, not your idea of what their purpose should be.
- 40:51And that's huge. There is no success without a
- 40:54successor. That's one of my philosophies.
- 40:57And you know what? You've actually been talking a
- 41:01lot in the direction of the principles of the Drish
- 41:05phenomenon. Now I'm going to tell you the
- 41:08principles. Let me call up the book and you
- 41:10see that everything you've been saying actually aligns with
- 41:14these principles #1 is understand that real wealth is
- 41:19notable. It's knowledge.
- 41:21That's the number one principle #2 principle is take care of
- 41:24your own and they will take care of you #3 principle is
- 41:28successful people are professionals and entrepreneurs
- 41:31#4 is develop your verbal confidence.
- 41:35That is something you we're very, very vocal about.
- 41:39Develop your verbal confidence #5 the selectively extravagant
- 41:45but prudently frugal #6 celebrate individuality,
- 41:49encourage creativity and #7 is have something to prove a drive
- 41:55to succeed. This is the framework you've
- 41:59just been talking all podcast long group.
- 42:02We've been on this recording for 41 minutes now and as.
- 42:06You can see I'm very, very passionate about it, right?
- 42:09Like one of my shout out to one of my mentees here in Brazil,
- 42:13Jeffrey's an actor doing his thing.
- 42:15And I feel like a lot of people, he's like 24 years old and, you
- 42:19know, he's trying to figure it out.
- 42:20And what's really cool about this topic, right, is it's it's
- 42:23universal. It doesn't matter where you're
- 42:25from. It doesn't matter what country
- 42:26you're in. It doesn't matter your ethnicity
- 42:29and trying to figure out, you know, what that looks like.
- 42:33And I think we're all on this. One of our companies is called
- 42:36Sanat Ana. It's a holdings company.
- 42:37It's an Indian word, which means the, the journey of
- 42:40enlightenment, ongoing self improvement, discovery.
- 42:43And I think we're all that's what we're doing.
- 42:44But I want to say something, Jenny here and reason why I
- 42:47brought up Jeffrey to what you just said.
- 42:49He was telling me the other day. He said I'm reading three books
- 42:52at a time. And I said, OK, how many, how
- 42:55many of those books do you remember and how much of it are
- 42:58you applying? And so I got this from Peter
- 43:01Vogue from six months to six figures.
- 43:03He says it's not about how much knowledge you take in, right?
- 43:06It's about applied knowledge. Applied knowledge is wisdom.
- 43:09Applied knowledge is where it's at.
- 43:12I just gave the parents a nugget.
- 43:13Use what I just said. It's not good enough to just
- 43:16hear it. It's better to hear it,
- 43:19implement it, and then take it. Because if you teach it, they
- 43:22say psychologically the brain better restores the information.
- 43:26So you're absolutely right. That, that's actually very true.
- 43:31I've been a teacher, you know, and it's one of those things
- 43:34that I really pride myself in. You know, being a teacher is a
- 43:37higher level of calling when it comes to knowledge.
- 43:42You'd need to have a higher level of understanding of a
- 43:45concept in order for you to teach it.
- 43:49Trust me, I've been dead on that.
- 43:51And yeah, it's, it's, it's just different.
- 43:53You know, in order for you to teach, you have not just
- 43:57internalised it, but you have internalised it and processed it
- 44:02and you cannot express it. So it's, it's a different level
- 44:07of, of knowledge and understanding.
- 44:09So it's one thing to, to have knowledge is another thing to
- 44:13have understanding. I think it's something that the
- 44:16Bible talks about, you know, in all that I get and get
- 44:18understanding by people perish for lack of wisdom.
- 44:21You know, wisdom is now the application of knowledge and
- 44:24understanding in order to achieve results.
- 44:26No, I always see something. Potentials are always different
- 44:30from credentials. Credentials is what we see.
- 44:32You know, our potentials do not always result in credentials.
- 44:37But one thing as a human being is you will never forgive
- 44:42yourself and you would always regret if you know that you have
- 44:45potentials that you did not turn into credentials.
- 44:52I think that is the greatest fear of mine and for many was to
- 44:56you know, you've got this thing inside of you that's you know,
- 45:00it's like it's like it's like feeding you, right.
- 45:03It's just like a hunger or thirst to be, you know, it's
- 45:07like the creator, and I want to add this right, the creator of
- 45:10life did not give you that vision, that idea and put it
- 45:13into your imagination. If it wasn't for you to bring it
- 45:16to fruition, why else give it to to a person, right.
- 45:20Yeah. And so I say that saying is like
- 45:23so many people that they don't act on their dreams.
- 45:26And that's where they say the wealth.
- 45:28And I don't know if you subscribe to this, but they say
- 45:30the real wealth is in the grave. Yeah.
- 45:32I mean I. Heard that the man time.
- 45:34They took their talent, they took their dreams, they took
- 45:37their IPAKA intellectual property.
- 45:39They took all that to their deathbed and they never acted on
- 45:43it. And I'll say something going
- 45:44back to the man I love, my father.
- 45:46My father is a genius, genius. And what's so sad is he's worked
- 45:50at a factory his whole life and that's all he knows is our
- 45:53labour. And I was talking to him the
- 45:55other day and was like, hey, I can't say what the idea is on
- 45:58the air, but I'll just say he has this genius idea for a very
- 46:01known sports association franchise that revolutionises
- 46:05that franchise. And I was like, hey, once we get
- 46:07that capital, you want to build that idea.
- 46:08Like you still want to engineer it?
- 46:10Because my dad's really an engineer, this man build a house
- 46:13with no architecture background. No, it's just like no official
- 46:16who just like wakes up one day and builds A two Storey house.
- 46:19Like, OK, I'm going to build my wife a house and just do it.
- 46:21But, and so this is what I'm saying.
- 46:23I'm saying this to say in honour of him, you know, he
- 46:25unfortunately will fall into that category if he doesn't act
- 46:29on some of these ideas, which is very sad for me, right?
- 46:31But how many people throughout the world are sitting on a
- 46:34goldmine of ideas? And ideas is not where it's at
- 46:37people. It's the execution of the idea
- 46:39of where it's at. And so how many people are doing
- 46:42that? And that's what we're here to
- 46:43change is to where now there's a framework, now there's AVC firm
- 46:47that brings ideas into the marketplace, not just elitist
- 46:51technology ideas. That's so biassed, right?
- 46:54Because technology is just one piece of greatness.
- 46:57It's not the whole ecosystem of greatness.
- 46:59And there's not really any other ecosystem that focuses on that.
- 47:02And so that's, you know, that's what we want to do is really
- 47:04change and shift dramatically the people that could be
- 47:08successful in other areas and can go to a place that can raise
- 47:11money and bring their ideas to to the surface.
- 47:14You know what? That is what this podcast is
- 47:17about. At the beginning of the podcast,
- 47:20what did I tell you that they had to rebrand structure.
- 47:27And now we calibrate the words right about what the podcast is
- 47:38about. Now I'm going to take you from
- 47:40what you've said. You talked about ideas, right?
- 47:44But ideas are not just enough. You need to understand and you
- 47:49need to have the requisite knowledge and the greed and the
- 47:52grind in order to be able to take this ideas right from
- 47:57abstract ideas to material right to materialisation by way of
- 48:03what execution, right? Good and this broadcast is about
- 48:09growth growth mindset. You need the right mindset in
- 48:14order to have the right ideas and in order to have the
- 48:17motivation for execution leadership.
- 48:23You need to be able to lead others and lead yourself in
- 48:28order to be able to achieve this thing and business insights
- 48:31right. You need business acumen in
- 48:34order to be able to commercialise these ideas.
- 48:38That is why, that's why we're here.
- 48:41I'm going to lay this out as to the question I get all the time.
- 48:45People will say, call me, what's this rise and ship method?
- 48:48What is that? What does that mean?
- 48:49And it's an acronym, all right, R stands for Rockstar brand, I
- 48:53is increased visibility, SS sales explosion, E is elevated
- 48:57authority, and the SIP is strategic, excuse me, strategy,
- 49:01instruction and programming, OK? And so as I was saying at the
- 49:04top of our podcast, majority of people, it starts at the root,
- 49:07meaning their parents, their neighbourhood, their teachers as
- 49:10a child didn't edify them. They don't have the confidence,
- 49:14they don't have the belief because they will never edify.
- 49:17OK, you have that down. Now you need some level of
- 49:21awareness. And once you get some awareness,
- 49:23this is where mindset comes into play because I tell everybody
- 49:27you're going to need to be resilient.
- 49:29You're going to go a lot of pain.
- 49:31And you're going to go through a suffering on the journey.
- 49:35And this is where mindset comes into play, right?
- 49:38But let's even elevate that one one for a moment.
- 49:42I learned if I learned from Proctor.
- 49:44And now you need to get a paradigm.
- 49:48And a paradigm, I think of it as, we're going to call it a
- 49:50word that most people don't like, but in this sense, it's
- 49:53great. It's brainwash.
- 49:55You need to brainwash yourself, a part of your subconscious mind
- 49:59to know just how great, how beautiful, how amazing, and how
- 50:04phenomenal you are. But you got to work on self to
- 50:10get that mindset and that paradigm.
- 50:12So at this point, now somebody's like, OK, I've got the mindset,
- 50:15I've got the paradigm, and I've got a vision.
- 50:18What do I do? We need to get clarity around
- 50:22that vision. Okay, As we get clarity, people
- 50:25hire me to give them a road map. I'm a strategist and a coat, but
- 50:29a hybrid. So now you need the strategy and
- 50:32we're going to lay out that road map.
- 50:34And then from there, now we need a network and we need the
- 50:37resources. So you want to build in
- 50:39community, but community is not enough.
- 50:42You also need an advisor and coaches and mentors.
- 50:45Something we we talked to him earlier about the Bible, one of
- 50:48the wisest men to ever live in the Bible.
- 50:50His name is King Solomon. The first thing King Solomon did
- 50:53when he got in office was he surrounded himself with good
- 50:57truth and advisors. Think about that.
- 50:59You know the Bible says in the multitude of counsel their
- 51:02safety. You know, the Bible says in the
- 51:05multitude of counsel, they're in safety.
- 51:08Facts. You have to have advisors,
- 51:11folks. You have to have people not that
- 51:13are talking it. Your parents are not your
- 51:14advisors. Your parents are your parents.
- 51:16You need people that done what you want to do or are doing what
- 51:19you want to do. Exactly.
- 51:21Proper and advice to guide you so you can dodge the pitfalls
- 51:26right and then the last one goes back to then resources like
- 51:29resources, network resources and you need resources, which could
- 51:32be training things of that nature frameworks.
- 51:34I teach a lot of AI prompts like you need those resources, but
- 51:37then you're going to. Prompt engineering, you know
- 51:40it's garbage and garbage out. Yeah.
- 51:42But to put fuel on those ideas to really bring it to market,
- 51:45when you say commercialise it, it's going to take capital.
- 51:48And I mean we're just going to call it what it is.
- 51:49Capital is the bloodline to every business and it's going to
- 51:51take capital to bring these things to market.
- 51:53And so let's not forget like, like you can get a lot of stuff
- 51:57done free 99. You can learn a lot free 99.
- 51:59I'm not, I'm not knocking free, but if you really want to go to
- 52:02the next level, folks, you're going to have to invest in your
- 52:06personal brand and your business and your genius.
- 52:09It's not all going to be free. OK, You've got to invest.
- 52:13So I want to make sure that everybody has it.
- 52:15But that's that ecosystem and that framework that we teach to
- 52:17make sure people got all their IS dotted and and their T's
- 52:20crossed. You know, you remind me of an
- 52:23episode I had because she brought it right from the pain
- 52:27perspective, right? In order to achieve and gain in
- 52:30life. It definitely starts with pain.
- 52:34And do you want to know the title of this episode?
- 52:37It's called pain, purpose power. Stamp it.
- 52:42Stamp. It, yeah.
- 52:43And life. In order to attain power, you
- 52:46need to go through pain. And when you go through pain,
- 52:50you're able to discover your purpose.
- 52:52When you discover your purpose, you can elevate to a position of
- 52:56power. But you cannot skip these steps.
- 53:02Love it. I think in my experience, and
- 53:04they did a lot of people talk about this, but in my
- 53:06experience, you know, you don't necessarily like the pain.
- 53:10I think I don't know. Let me let me ask you when
- 53:12you're in the gym, do you like the painters?
- 53:15Absolutely not, you know. And you don't like it, but you
- 53:18like when you're butt naked and you're looking in that mirror
- 53:21and your muscles is popping. That's what you like, right?
- 53:23And you're like, whoa, is this me?
- 53:26Exactly, I think that's the same thing in business.
- 53:28You don't. I didn't like it that I was
- 53:29homeless, sleeping outside, going to churches to eat
- 53:32breakfast. I'm Kodish, can I purse on this
- 53:34show? I said Kodish shit.
- 53:36Feel free. I'm calling this shit.
- 53:38I'm freezing. I got to go to Starbucks.
- 53:40They see me everyday. I'm not fresh, I don't look
- 53:43clean. I didn't shower.
- 53:44I'm showering at the gym. I didn't like that.
- 53:46You think I like that? It's embarrassing.
- 53:48I didn't like it, but it was necessary.
- 53:51And it also showed me some different sides of life.
- 53:54You need these different elements, the darkness to
- 53:56contrast with the light. You need these different parts
- 53:59of all of it because the times when you're in grief, the times
- 54:04when you're crying and you're emotional bring so much more
- 54:07measure and greatness to the joy and the things that are
- 54:12phenomenal. So I could never have gotten to
- 54:15Brazil. You mentioned that I'm in
- 54:16Brazil. I'm in Brazil right now.
- 54:17I'm travelling the world. I'm doing Latin American thing,
- 54:18right? And so as I'm doing that, that
- 54:20could never have happened without the homeless peace, that
- 54:23wouldn't have happened. And so I think it's best that we
- 54:25reflect on it and we understand. And one other thing, when it
- 54:28comes to success, I love how Kobe Bryant said it rested in
- 54:32heaven to his spirit. He said success is really the
- 54:35journey of looking back, of who you became while chasing the
- 54:38championships and the championships.
- 54:41I told you all what the championship is for me and what
- 54:43success looks like for me. But who I've become, there's no
- 54:47taking that away from all those experiences.
- 54:50And it's those pains that are going to channel that purpose
- 54:52and that purpose that's going to bring you into empowerment.
- 54:55And as he just told you, you can't do it without it, so you
- 54:58might as well choose the pain of discipline because that's the
- 55:02discipline that's going to take along your path.
- 55:04Wow. I guess it's almost time for you
- 55:08to go because I think I just heard the alarm and definitely
- 55:12we have to do Part 2. Please go schedule Part 2 else
- 55:18I'm going to send the what's the police in Brazil police here
- 55:23police. Here.
- 55:24Police. Yeah, yeah, you will see the
- 55:26police here knocking on your door if you do not schedule Part
- 55:292 within 24 hours. So let's end with a quick fire
- 55:37round. I'll ask you 5 questions and
- 55:39just give me the first thing that comes to your mind.
- 55:41Oh, I told you to hold on something, bride.
- 55:43I was going to tell you something.
- 55:45My favourite scripture. My favourite verse in the
- 55:48scripture. Do you want to know it?
- 55:50Please. Philippians 413 I can do all
- 55:54things through crisis. Transcend to me.
- 55:56Hey, step it, step it. Yeah, I'll give y'all one dude
- 56:00that that really changed something for me because it
- 56:02touches on what I just said a few minutes ago.
- 56:05Give me 20 seconds, I'll have it pulled up.
- 56:07Which is it talks about suffering.
- 56:10A lot of people don't have this one in their in their Rolodex,
- 56:13but it's so powerful because it lets you know that suffering is
- 56:18part of it when it comes to journey and greatness.
- 56:21And not everybody goes through Job.
- 56:24You know, Job is one of those stories where it's like.
- 56:28Another level. This is Romans, this is Romans
- 56:325, three, he says. Not only so, but we also glory
- 56:37in our sufferings, he said. Because we know that suffering
- 56:39produces perseverance, perseverance, character, and
- 56:43character hope. And it says, and hope does not
- 56:45put us to shame because God's love has been poured into our
- 56:47hearts through the Holy Spirit. And so a lot of people, that's
- 56:49from the creator of life people, whether or not you subscribe to
- 56:52that or not. And so that's all I'm getting
- 56:54that is suffering has a purpose. So if it's going to be here
- 56:57regardless, you might as well choose it on the beautiful side
- 57:00of life of discipline versus the side of regret and not bringing
- 57:03your greatness to the surface. And I really, really appreciate
- 57:06what you, what you've said this now and you know, the scripture
- 57:10that you have referenced. And of course, you know, to to
- 57:13cap it all up, I think he just reminded me of Hebrews Chapter
- 57:1711, verse 1. And that's faith.
- 57:20Everything, everything is anchored on faith.
- 57:23And Hebrews 11/1 says faith is a substance of things hoped for,
- 57:27the evidence of things not seen. Stamp it.
- 57:31Stamp it and that, that, that's power.
- 57:34That's power. So we got rapid fire.
- 57:35I'm ready, I'm excited. I might need like 3 seconds
- 57:39'cause my brain is. OK, number one and number 11
- 57:43book that changed your mindset forever.
- 57:46Oh, oh, that's, you know how tough that is with a book
- 57:49library of over 100 books read, you know.
- 57:52What's the number? What's the number one that
- 57:54kicked the journey? Right now, what's on top of my
- 57:57mind is E Myth. E Myth really changed how I see
- 57:59business. OK, your favourite lyric or
- 58:02quote that fuels you today? I'm gonna go with Ralph Waddell
- 58:09Emerson as to methods. There may be a million in some,
- 58:12but the man I'll add, or woman that can successfully grasp the
- 58:16principle may successfully select his own method.
- 58:20I love it. There's all this method to the
- 58:22madness number 31 AI or tech tool you cannot leave without
- 58:26right now. We'll go with a ChatGPT.
- 58:33I have that I have that on my mind, ChatGPT, but trust me, I
- 58:38now have like fantastic alternatives to ChatGPT.
- 58:41Should I OK, shout out, shout out to these guys, shout out to
- 58:45manners dot. I am guys, if you're watching
- 58:48me, if you've seen this, if you know the guys at Manners dot I
- 58:52am reach out to them. Come sponsor this podcast.
- 58:56You guys are doing a great job out there.
- 58:57Come sponsor this podcast #4 first thing you do when you wake
- 59:02up. I see why you gonna throw me
- 59:05under the bus because I got to tell my truth.
- 59:07What you're supposed to do with people is you're supposed to tap
- 59:09into the Bible, read a devo and do that.
- 59:12Usually, right now, I usually respond to messages.
- 59:14You are not supposed to be on your phone or first thing.
- 59:16It is what I've been doing. I get on.
- 59:19I respond to all my people, starting my gratitude practise.
- 59:24Whoa, whoa, whoa. Gratitude.
- 59:26Yeah. I think for me it has to be the
- 59:28gratitude thing. Like a lot of people are angry
- 59:31with me because I don't respond to messages.
- 59:33I'll do better. I'll do better.
- 59:36I'm big on I'm big on, you know, service, going back to service.
- 59:39And so I don't like people to be waiting.
- 59:41So like you got so many when you're omnipresent and you're on
- 59:45every channel. Like people don't tell you this,
- 59:46but I'm going to say this. When you're on every channel and
- 59:50you're getting comments and messages from every channel and
- 59:53you're staff is not 30 or 40 and we're not there yet.
- 59:56So somebody's got a response. I.
- 59:58Don't have? Pending on me and my team.
- 1:00:01So yeah. So I hit the messages back and
- 1:00:05then start my start my thing. What you're supposed to be doing
- 1:00:08not be on your phone, you know, not be on your phone or even do
- 1:00:11all that. So yeah.
- 1:00:13Not now. Now I am convinced I need to
- 1:00:15give my mom your number because my mom is on his fight to me.
- 1:00:19I don't respond to messages and of course you know that is the
- 1:00:23guy that will respond to all your message.
- 1:00:25Don't, don't leave your mother All read.
- 1:00:27He read it. And then let it down.
- 1:00:29I'm trying you. I'm not trying you under the
- 1:00:31bus. I'm trying you over the bus now.
- 1:00:33And you know the conversations you had about parents, you know
- 1:00:36you need to have another conversation with her as well
- 1:00:38with. Your Mama I 11 real quick.
- 1:00:43I know we don't wrap a part, but I want to share this with
- 1:00:45everybody. Have you make sure that you have
- 1:00:49a habit and a routine that can set the state of your day and
- 1:00:52what what that looks like for me because I walk you through the
- 1:00:54rest of that minus the messaging gratitude Bible devo in the
- 1:00:58morning, read the Bible. I start off with a Scripture
- 1:01:00from the Lord. Then I usually listen to music
- 1:01:03or a motivational speech that gets my mind prepped for today,
- 1:01:07a piece of a book, go to the gym and then I start my day.
- 1:01:11So it is good to have a morning routine.
- 1:01:13And so I just wanted to share that with folks so that they can
- 1:01:15hear a few things like those are some of the things that we
- 1:01:17include in that routine. But having that practise and not
- 1:01:20getting it on your phone, you did not get a call.
- 1:01:23I'll just keep it down. Absolutely.
- 1:01:26Absolutely. For me, it's gratitude first.
- 1:01:29Gratitude first, you know so #5 if the world gave you a mic for

- 1:01:37I would tell everybody that you've got greatness in you and
- 1:01:40it's your choice to choose the pain of discipline or the pain
