- 1:05Speaker 5: Quite as good as I should have And.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Maybe I didn't love you Welcome back. Thanks for being
- 1:18Speaker 2: with us. This portion of the program is brought to
- 1:20Speaker 2: you by the Dollar Floor Store. According to The Athletic,
- 1:23Speaker 2: the top ten most underachieving football programs of all time.
- 1:27Speaker 2: Number two, South Carolina. The Gamecocks have enough money and
- 1:31Speaker 2: nearby players, plus an intimidating home atmosphere to be a
- 1:34Speaker 2: strong program or at least occasionally break through. That has
- 1:38Speaker 2: rarely happened. Their only three top ten finishes came under Spurrier.
- 1:43Speaker 2: The rest of the history is dotted with trips to
- 1:45Speaker 2: the Gator Bowl thanks to a winning percentage of. 509
- 1:48Speaker 2: on par with Purdue. South Carolina hasn't claimed a conference
- 1:54Speaker 2: title since winning the ACC in 1969. In-state rival Clemson
- 2:00Speaker 2: has three natties. Showing that a team in the state
- 2:03Speaker 2: can win at a high level. South Carolina just hasn't
- 2:06Speaker 2: been the one to do it. Even if the Gamecocks
- 2:09Speaker 2: don't have Florida's potential, they're not doing enough with it.
- 2:14Speaker 6: Agree?
- 2:17Speaker 7: I just think that... They had their chance when the
- 2:20Speaker 7: East was down when you were playing divisions and you
- 2:22Speaker 7: didn't take advantage of it. So I can understand that sentiment.
- 2:26Speaker 7: If Missouri can win two East titles and South Carolina
- 2:29Speaker 7: didn't compete, that right there shows me that no.
- 2:35Speaker 2: All right, and you know why I'm doing this anyway.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Number one is Texas A & M. This isn't recency bias.
- 2:43Speaker 2: The Aggies rank no lower than 17th in our potential
- 2:46Speaker 2: related statistics but lack high-end results. A & M has
- 2:50Speaker 2: only six ranked finishes this century and hasn't won a
- 2:54Speaker 2: conference since 1998. The Aggies squandered one of the best
- 2:59Speaker 2: recruiting classes ever under Fisher and, like Stanford, have connections
- 3:03Speaker 2: to six Hall of Fame coaches. The Aggies, however, have
- 3:07Speaker 2: only one national title. Yeah, but. I haven't done the
- 3:11Speaker 2: yeah buts in the others.
- 3:12Speaker 7: Okay.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Texas A & M' s fertile recruiting footprint is crowded because
- 3:16Speaker 2: the Aggies had to fight nearby powers like Texas and LSU.
- 3:20Speaker 2: Even with its hiccups, Texas A & M is still
- 3:22Speaker 2: a top 20 historical program, so the floor has been
- 3:26Speaker 2: relatively high. Final thought. On paper, Texas A & M
- 3:31Speaker 2: should be at least the second best program on our
- 3:34Speaker 2: list alongside Florida. You agree with that?
- 3:38Speaker 8: Yes.
- 3:39Speaker 2: Yet the Aggies have fewer ranked finishes than UCLA, a
- 3:43Speaker 2: worse bowl record than Rice, and a winning percentage, 6.05,
- 3:48Speaker 2: in the same neighborhood as Arizona State and Utah. Barring
- 3:52Speaker 2: a turnaround, A & M will go from preseason top
- 3:56Speaker 2: 25 to unranked for the 18th.
- 4:01Speaker 7: Okay.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Hard to argue.
- 4:04Speaker 7: There's facts there, Chip.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:07Speaker 7: I'm not going to disagree with the facts.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Look, yeah, there are facts there. Again, this is all
- 4:13Speaker 2: somebody's opinion.
- 4:14Speaker 7: I understand that. But I will also retort after watching
- 4:19Speaker 7: Pulp Fiction last night. Let me retort.
- 4:21Speaker 2: I like it. I watched it just the other day.
- 4:25Speaker 7: Okay. Show me the team. In the Southwest Conference era
- 4:32Speaker 7: that finished the season with better opponents year after year
- 4:38Speaker 7: in your Cotton Bowl trips than Texas A & M.
- 4:43Speaker 7: You played Notre Dame. You played Florida State. You played
- 4:46Speaker 7: Ohio State. It's not like Texas Tech and USC. It's,
- 4:52Speaker 7: you know, Texas and Texas A & M, the Cotton
- 4:55Speaker 7: Bowl went out and got opponents for them.
- 4:57Speaker 6: Right.
- 4:58Speaker 7: Okay?
- 4:59Speaker 9: Right.
- 4:59Speaker 7: So for Jackie and RC, at a high point of
- 5:04Speaker 7: the program, they were playing other teams that were very,
- 5:08Speaker 7: very good. And then throw in the Alamo Bowl, where
- 5:12Speaker 7: twice they played a Penn State team that should have
- 5:16Speaker 7: been a national champion and not been in the Alamo Bowl.
- 5:19Speaker 2: I don't think we're talking about bowl wins here.
- 5:21Speaker 7: No, they did. They brought up bowl wins behind Rice.
- 5:25Speaker 7: They brought it up.
- 5:26Speaker 2: They brought in bowl wins, no question about that.
- 5:29Speaker 7: Okay. Rikes has never played the bowl games that Texas
- 5:33Speaker 7: A & M has.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Well, they played Alabama. When they were good, they did.
- 5:37Speaker 7: Okay.
- 5:37Speaker 2: But they didn't play as many, for sure.
- 5:39Speaker 7: No, they didn't.
- 5:40Speaker 2: I mean, that's apples and oranges.
- 5:42Speaker 7: Exactly.
- 5:42Speaker 2: I'm not disagreeing with that.
- 5:44Speaker 7: Okay.
- 5:44Speaker 2: Okay, but I don't think that's the issue. I think
- 5:48Speaker 2: the issue is what everyone here continues to.
- 5:52Speaker 9: Say, right? Right.
- 5:54Speaker 2: We have the resources. We have the commitment. We have
- 5:57Speaker 2: the players. What's the problem?
- 6:00Speaker 7: You know, but you bring up Jimbo's superstar class.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Yeah, but and again, I would say this. Jimbo's superstar
- 6:11Speaker 2: class is like everyone else's superstar class in the history
- 6:14Speaker 2: of football, which I've said repeatedly. It's 25%. It's 25%,
- 6:18Speaker 2: which when recruiting used to matter, and it doesn't nearly
- 6:21Speaker 2: as much anymore, right?
- 6:23Speaker 7: But I would say that there are classes that aren't
- 6:25Speaker 7: ranked as high as Jimbo's that I was actually more
- 6:28Speaker 7: disappointed in the performance in those classes than that one.
- 6:32Speaker 2: Maybe so. You know, maybe so. Look, it's not fair
- 6:37Speaker 2: when doing the total picture in my mind to say
- 6:41Speaker 2: they squandered the best class ever, right? Yes. And as
- 6:46Speaker 2: it turned out, it wasn't the best. It was the
- 6:49Speaker 2: best class on paper ever, okay? For people who rank
- 6:52Speaker 2: stuff like that.
- 6:53Speaker 7: But how are any defensive linemen going to?
- 6:56Speaker 2: Look, that kind of stuff is so objective. I mean, subjective, right? Yes,
- 7:02Speaker 2: it is. It's so subjective. So I don't throw that
- 7:06Speaker 2: in either. It's just this kind of stuff, it just
- 7:12Speaker 2: exacerbates and explains the frustration of the fan base, right,
- 7:17Speaker 2: year after year. Because they haven't seen it come to fruition.
- 7:20Speaker 2: That's the bottom line, right?
- 7:23Speaker 9: Yes.
- 7:23Speaker 2: I mean, that's the bottom line. So when's it going
- 7:27Speaker 2: to end?
- 7:28Speaker 9: I don't know.
- 7:28Speaker 2: I can't answer that question. I know there are people
- 7:35Speaker 2: unhappy with the coach, the way, A, the season's gone,
- 7:39Speaker 2: and B, what he said on Saturday. I get that part.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Those 500 people?
- 7:43Speaker 7: Those 500 people.
- 7:44Speaker 6: Yes.
- 7:46Speaker 7: Wait, wait. This is not Chip Howard's opinion.
- 7:49Speaker 9: No.
- 7:50Speaker 7: This is not the opinion of Brian Broadcasting.
- 7:52Speaker 9: No.
- 7:52Speaker 7: This is Scott Clendenin's opinion.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Okay, go.
- 7:55Speaker 7: On Tex-Ax, it's Clendenin. If you want to find me,
- 7:58Speaker 7: my name is there. This is my opinion. Y'all 500
- 8:02Speaker 7: people don't matter. You don't matter. You won't put your
- 8:06Speaker 7: name on it. Okay?
- 8:08Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 8:08Speaker 7: And you don't matter.
- 8:09Speaker 2: That's the area in which we live.
- 8:10Speaker 7: Because if you thought you mattered, you'd have Mike Elko's
- 8:14Speaker 7: cell phone. You wouldn't be posting on tech sags about
- 8:17Speaker 7: your disappointment in the program and how much money I've
- 8:20Speaker 7: contributed to it.
- 8:21Speaker 9: Look.
- 8:22Speaker 7: There you go.
- 8:23Speaker 2: That's Scott Clendenin's. And that's fine. And you know what?
- 8:27Speaker 2: Be that as it may, the head coach should be
- 8:28Speaker 2: responding to those 500 people.
- 8:30Speaker 9: No. Ever. Right? Ever.
- 8:32Speaker 6: Ever.
- 8:33Speaker 2: He made a mistake. Yes, he did.
- 8:34Speaker 7: And he owned up to it.
- 8:35Speaker 2: He did. Kind of. He kind of owned up to it.
- 8:38Speaker 7: Okay. The problem was he shouldn't have said Billy's name.
- 8:41Speaker 7: He should have said the internet.
- 8:43Speaker 2: He should have said the internet, which he has before,
- 8:45Speaker 2: by the way, which he has before. He's also done
- 8:49Speaker 2: this before after losses. He comes into the media and
- 8:52Speaker 2: he doesn't, he's not a good loser, which is fine.
- 8:56Speaker 2: I'm fine with not having a good loser. And he
- 8:57Speaker 2: takes responsibility for the problems. He takes responsibility for the losses.
- 9:02Speaker 2: You don't want a good loser as a head coach.
- 9:05Speaker 2: You want a guy who is steaming. after your team
- 9:08Speaker 2: doesn't play the way you want it to play, the
- 9:10Speaker 2: way you thought you coached it to play. That's what
- 9:13Speaker 2: you want. You want a guy who is not a
- 9:17Speaker 2: good loser, and he's a terrible loser. You think Bucky's
- 9:20Speaker 2: a good loser? No, but he just needs a person.
- 9:27Speaker 2: And as I discussed about this Monday, Those people don't
- 9:32Speaker 2: have that anymore. These SIDs that used to squire the
- 9:36Speaker 2: head coaches around and tell them, hey, you need to
- 9:39Speaker 2: call so-and-so at the Chronicle or at the Morning News,
- 9:42Speaker 2: they don't have those people anymore. They don't have that anymore.
- 9:47Speaker 2: It's a new era, right? It's a different era. They
- 9:51Speaker 2: need them.
- 9:52Speaker 7: Well, there's not 10 people that 10 members of the
- 9:55Speaker 7: press are answering to.
- 9:58Speaker 8: True.
- 9:59Speaker 2: They're confused.
- 10:00Speaker 7: Very easily be 100 people that you have to answer to.
- 10:04Speaker 2: It could be. I would argue that there's still probably
- 10:08Speaker 2: 10 in most places that matter, but I know what
- 10:11Speaker 2: you're saying. But because of the instant access now, Everyone
- 10:20Speaker 2: thinks they do have an opinion, but they think their
- 10:25Speaker 2: opinion matters. And as you mentioned, you can hide behind
- 10:28Speaker 2: anonymous all day long and spew things out, right? And
- 10:34Speaker 2: that's another reason why you should never react to anything
- 10:38Speaker 2: like that, right? You should never react to anything like that.
- 10:43Speaker 2: My thing is... Who's reading this stuff to him? Because
- 10:46Speaker 2: he was asked the question Monday, do you do a
- 10:49Speaker 2: good job of blocking out the noise? Because he said,
- 10:51Speaker 2: we talk to our players all the time. He said, yes,
- 10:54Speaker 2: I do a good job of blocking out the noise.
- 10:56Speaker 2: I'm thinking, well, man, if this is a good job
- 10:58Speaker 2: of blocking out the noise.
- 10:59Speaker 7: Has the question been asked by the same reporter twice now?
- 11:03Speaker 7: It was asked after Kentucky, and it was asked after
- 11:05Speaker 7: this guy.
- 11:05Speaker 2: It's a stupid question, right? I mean, it's a stupid question.
- 11:10Speaker 7: Are 100,000 people coming to your games today?
- 11:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, like I said.
- 11:14Speaker 7: Chip, after LSU, after LSU, when you can't have more despair, okay,
- 11:21Speaker 7: than the performance against LSU, the stadium was full for Arkansas.
- 11:29Speaker 2: No doubt.
- 11:30Speaker 7: And they were engaged.
- 11:32Speaker 2: I don't think this is an indictment on the fan base.
- 11:35Speaker 7: No, but that's what it was made of. What are
- 11:38Speaker 7: you doing not to lose your fan base?
- 11:40Speaker 2: Look, here's the... And I'm glad you brought this up.
- 11:45Speaker 2: When there are tons of... And there'll be empty seats
- 11:48Speaker 2: this week. It's a citadel.
- 11:49Speaker 9: Yes.
- 11:50Speaker 2: But when there are tons of empty seats and sections
- 11:54Speaker 2: of empty seats, okay, if there are in the future,
- 12:02Speaker 2: then you worry about that. Right?
- 12:04Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Then you say... Oh, man, maybe he's lost hope and
- 12:10Speaker 2: lost some support from the fan base that show up 100,000
- 12:14Speaker 2: strong every Saturday.
- 12:18Speaker 7: Chip, what was the expectation of Arkansas this year?
- 12:22Speaker 9: None.
- 12:22Speaker 7: What was the expectation of A & M this year?
- 12:26Speaker 7: Sky high.
- 12:27Speaker 6: High.
- 12:27Speaker 7: Okay. Who is the team that actually has a problem
- 12:30Speaker 7: with their fan base and wearing bags in the stands?
- 12:34Speaker 7: And a real problem with the fan base. And not
- 12:37Speaker 7: getting the money to do all these things. It's Arkansas.
- 12:40Speaker 7: The team with no expectations.
- 12:43Speaker 2: Yeah, you don't ever want to be compared to Arkansas.
- 12:45Speaker 6: Right.
- 12:46Speaker 7: Except when they were leading Tennessee at halftime. All I
- 12:53Speaker 7: kept hearing was Arkansas sucks and they can't play with anybody. Okay?
- 12:58Speaker 7: They looked a lot better against Tennessee than they did
- 13:01Speaker 7: against Texas A & M.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I won't deny that. I didn't see the game.
- 13:06Speaker 2: I just saw the score and I knew they were
- 13:08Speaker 2: behind at one point. I mean, they were ahead at
- 13:10Speaker 2: one point. But that's neither here nor there.
- 13:14Speaker 7: But what I'm saying is I can look at the
- 13:15Speaker 7: programs in this league that actually have a fan base problem.
- 13:20Speaker 2: There aren't many.
- 13:22Speaker 7: Texas, after losing to Oklahoma, doesn't have a fan base problem.
- 13:25Speaker 2: Not yet.
- 13:26Speaker 7: Oklahoma, if they had lost to Texas, would have had
- 13:28Speaker 7: a fan base problem.
- 13:29Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh. Oh, there's no question about that.
- 13:31Speaker 7: Because who was buying those tickets to the Cotton Bowl, Chip?
- 13:33Speaker 2: Texas fans.
- 13:34Speaker 7: And who wasn't buying? Who was selling tickets?
- 13:36Speaker 2: Oklahoma fans.
- 13:37Speaker 7: What's the fan base problem there? The fan base problem
- 13:41Speaker 7: was Oklahoma until they won the game.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Until they won the game. Yeah. You know what? John
- 13:47Speaker 2: Blake beat Texas, okay? He, for a year, when that
- 13:54Speaker 2: program was going down, and I'm not comparing where it
- 13:57Speaker 2: was under John Blake to where it is under Brent
- 13:59Speaker 2: Finneballs by any stretch of the imagination.
- 14:01Speaker 9: Right.
- 14:01Speaker 2: My point is... They could have put a fork in
- 14:05Speaker 2: that program for years ahead by winning that game, and
- 14:09Speaker 2: they didn't. I believe they did the same thing this
- 14:13Speaker 2: last Saturday in the Cotton Bowl by allowing Oklahoma to
- 14:16Speaker 2: win a game they had no business winning. They have
- 14:22Speaker 2: given a little bit of glimmer of hope to the
- 14:24Speaker 2: fan base, which might end this week. Are they playing?
- 14:29Speaker 2: Is it Kentucky they're playing this week?
- 14:30Speaker 9: Yes.
- 14:31Speaker 2: That may end this week.
- 14:33Speaker 7: Yes. Because what did I say when A & M
- 14:36Speaker 7: lost to Kentucky? Is Kentucky going to play like Florida?
- 14:40Speaker 7: Are they going to play like Oklahoma did last year?
- 14:43Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 14:44Speaker 7: With that early season loss?
- 14:45Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 14:45Speaker 7: Well, Kentucky's playing a lot more like Oklahoma did last
- 14:48Speaker 7: year and looking to try to make a run.
- 14:50Speaker 2: Than they did Florida.
- 14:51Speaker 7: Chip, on the flip side, Charlie Strong and Tom Herman
- 14:57Speaker 7: beat Bob Stoops.
- 14:59Speaker 2: Yeah, no doubt. I mean, look. I told Kirk this
- 15:05Speaker 2: last week. Okay. I said if I had any guts
- 15:09Speaker 2: at all, I'd pick Oklahoma because I saw it coming
- 15:12Speaker 2: from four miles away because I've seen it. We know
- 15:15Speaker 2: what rivalries are. And went, oh, the coach is horrible.
- 15:19Speaker 2: This program is way down. This program is on the
- 15:23Speaker 2: way to winning a national championship. They've won two in
- 15:26Speaker 2: a row. They've never won three in a row. The
- 15:29Speaker 2: same coach in the history has never won three in
- 15:32Speaker 2: a row against Oklahoma. It was just on and on
- 15:35Speaker 2: and on. And I went, oh, I've seen this on
- 15:37Speaker 2: both sides.
- 15:38Speaker 7: Yes.
- 15:38Speaker 2: For my whole life.
- 15:39Speaker 6: Yes.
- 15:40Speaker 2: I've seen it my whole life.
- 15:41Speaker 8: Right.
- 15:42Speaker 2: And it wasn't a horror. I mean, it wasn't one
- 15:46Speaker 2: of those you go, well, I never saw that coming.
- 15:49Speaker 8: Well, sure.
- 15:49Speaker 2: A lot of the fan base did because they're stupid.
- 15:53Speaker 2: But but I look at it and I go. Yeah,
- 15:56Speaker 2: I saw that coming. You know, I saw it coming.
- 16:00Speaker 7: I thought he should have put a visor on instead
- 16:02Speaker 7: of his OU hat. I asked you last week.
- 16:05Speaker 2: He doesn't wear a visor, and he should. The visor
- 16:08Speaker 2: has been pretty good over the years.
- 16:10Speaker 7: But how does Tom Herman and Charlie Strong beat Bob
- 16:13Speaker 7: Stoops when Matt Brown couldn't?
- 16:16Speaker 2: Exactly. That's the nature of it, man. You know that.
- 16:20Speaker 10: Yes.
- 16:21Speaker 2: It's called a rivalry, and that just happens every year.
- 16:25Speaker 2: Every rivalry game. That's why I love rivalries. A &
- 16:29Speaker 2: M and LSU. A & M and Texas. That's why
- 16:31Speaker 2: we love rivalry games.
- 16:33Speaker 7: You are just as upset last year that A &
- 16:35Speaker 7: M lost to Texas as you were happy that A
- 16:39Speaker 7: & M won finally at Death Valley and their coach
- 16:43Speaker 7: got fired.
- 16:44Speaker 2: Because of it. I'm already asking this question. I know
- 16:47Speaker 2: it's way too early in the year to ask this question.
- 16:50Speaker 2: We have half the year left.
- 16:52Speaker 9: Okay?
- 16:52Speaker 2: It's not done yet.
- 16:53Speaker 6: Yes.
- 16:54Speaker 9: Okay?
- 16:55Speaker 2: But you tell me, as an A & M fan,
- 17:01Speaker 2: is that game at the end of the year circled anymore?
- 17:07Speaker 2: Could it be circled anymore every year right now that
- 17:13Speaker 2: you're looking at a season that's not going to be
- 17:16Speaker 2: what you thought it was going to be, that that's
- 17:20Speaker 2: going to be the game that at least salves some
- 17:22Speaker 2: of the wounds that have been suffered?
- 17:25Speaker 7: Okay, Chip. Texas A & M schedule after this weekend.
- 17:31Speaker 2: Yeah, not great.
- 17:32Speaker 7: All right. South Carolina's a winnable game. Oklahoma's definitely a
- 17:36Speaker 7: winnable game. Okay.
- 17:38Speaker 2: Yeah, it's not over. I'm not suggesting the season was over.
- 17:41Speaker 7: But who are the other ones?
- 17:43Speaker 2: Okay, here's the schedule after this week.
- 17:45Speaker 7: After this week.
- 17:46Speaker 2: Go to Alabama.
- 17:48Speaker 7: Which is a terrible spot for A & M to
- 17:50Speaker 7: be in. I don't think A & M will win
- 17:52Speaker 7: that game.
- 17:53Speaker 2: Have an open date, which is always good after a
- 17:56Speaker 2: game like that. Go to South Carolina.
- 17:59Speaker 7: Which is as up and down as Texas A &
- 18:03Speaker 7: M is.
- 18:03Speaker 2: You don't know what you're getting, but it's winnable. But
- 18:06Speaker 2: it's a hard place to play.
- 18:09Speaker 7: Has A & M ever had success there?
- 18:10Speaker 2: They've had a little, but they've also had some terrible
- 18:13Speaker 2: games there. They're home against Tennessee. I still don't know
- 18:18Speaker 2: what you're getting with Tennessee.
- 18:20Speaker 7: I just told you. Arkansas was better than them for
- 18:23Speaker 7: three quarters of that game.
- 18:24Speaker 5: Right.
- 18:25Speaker 2: I don't know what you're getting. Right. They're at Oklahoma,
- 18:29Speaker 2: and by then, I mean, who knows? Who freaking knows?
- 18:35Speaker 2: I know they have a horrible offense still.
- 18:38Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 18:38Speaker 2: They have a horrible quarterback still.
- 18:40Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 18:40Speaker 2: Their offensive line ain't very good still. But they can defend.
- 18:46Speaker 2: They can defend. And they get turnovers.
- 18:49Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 18:50Speaker 7: If A & M would get turnovers, their defense would
- 18:52Speaker 7: look just like Oklahoma's.
- 18:53Speaker 2: No doubt. But they're not getting turnovers. Well, you still
- 18:57Speaker 2: have to have a little bit to follow up. You
- 19:00Speaker 2: know what I'm saying for those turnovers. Oklahoma didn't have much.
- 19:05Speaker 9: No.
- 19:06Speaker 2: I mean, they scored 17 points, not on offense. But
- 19:11Speaker 2: that's what you have to have.
- 19:12Speaker 9: Yes.
- 19:14Speaker 7: Chip, look at the difference in the game. Oklahoma got
- 19:17Speaker 7: the pick six, and A & M didn't.
- 19:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 19:21Speaker 2: Yeah, it could have made a difference. There's no doubt.
- 19:24Speaker 2: But as ineffective as the offense is right now.
- 19:27Speaker 7: Now give me the Longhorns schedule the rest of the
- 19:29Speaker 7: way out.
- 19:29Speaker 2: The Longhorns. This week is Florida. And I just read
- 19:33Speaker 2: today that their Florida quarterback, we'll know this evening, has
- 19:39Speaker 2: a bad shoulder.
- 19:41Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 19:42Speaker 2: But it doesn't matter because Texas can't score, but they've
- 19:47Speaker 2: been very good at home. I want to caveat with that. that.
- 19:51Speaker 2: They've been very good at home. I expect them to
- 19:54Speaker 2: win that game. They're double-digit favorites. I don't know if
- 19:57Speaker 2: they can score 13 points to win a double-digit game,
- 20:00Speaker 2: but I expect them to win that game. Then Ole
- 20:04Speaker 2: Miss comes. Now, I've already looked at percentages. Texas right
- 20:12Speaker 2: now is favored. It will depend what happens with Florida.
- 20:16Speaker 2: But they're favored. Do I think they're going to win?
- 20:19Speaker 2: Not necessarily. Then they're home to Mississippi State, which look
- 20:26Speaker 2: like a much... tougher game until the quarterback got hurt,
- 20:31Speaker 2: you would think by then he would be well. He
- 20:34Speaker 2: doesn't have anything broken that we know of, I think, right?
- 20:38Speaker 2: You would think Kamario Taylor would be well by the
- 20:41Speaker 2: time they come in a couple of weeks. Okay? That's
- 20:45Speaker 2: problematic when you have a quarterback that can be that good. Now,
- 20:48Speaker 2: they're not a great team either. We know that. But
- 20:51Speaker 2: can they beat Texas? Of course they can.
- 20:54Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 20:54Speaker 9: Okay?
- 20:56Speaker 2: So those three games I've mentioned... Those are three straight
- 20:59Speaker 2: home games, okay? When the season started, people predicting from
- 21:05Speaker 2: Austin and Houston and all the people that follow were
- 21:08Speaker 2: predicting 10-2, okay? They're predicting, hey, I think they're going
- 21:12Speaker 2: to lose at LSU. I think they're going to lose
- 21:15Speaker 2: one of those games either to Florida or Ole Miss
- 21:17Speaker 2: at home.
- 21:18Speaker 7: Or Ohio State at home.
- 21:19Speaker 2: Or Ohio State at home. Yes. Okay? That's why they
- 21:22Speaker 2: said 10-2. But now you look at those three games
- 21:26Speaker 2: and you go, hey, If they only win two of them,
- 21:29Speaker 2: and I'm not going to say they can't, but if
- 21:31Speaker 2: they only win two of them, then they've got two losses.
- 21:34Speaker 2: They've got to go two Missouri and two LSU on
- 21:38Speaker 2: back-to-back weekends.
- 21:40Speaker 5: Right?
- 21:41Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 21:41Speaker 2: And you're going, wow, man, those two games, if you
- 21:44Speaker 2: can win one of those games, that's a pretty good stretch. Well,
- 21:49Speaker 2: then they've got three losses.
- 21:51Speaker 5: Right?
- 21:51Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 21:52Speaker 2: Then they've got to come after playing Arkansas. Yeah. And
- 21:57Speaker 2: if they do lose two of those games, who knows?
- 22:01Speaker 2: Then they've got to come here, right?
- 22:03Speaker 7: Who's had the most disappointing season if you had a
- 22:07Speaker 7: 6-5 team and a 7-4 team playing each other?
- 22:11Speaker 2: Aggie fans, I don't think, are going to accept 6-5.
- 22:13Speaker 3: No, no.
- 22:15Speaker 7: Chip, who would have had the more disappointing season? Between
- 22:18Speaker 7: those two teams.
- 22:19Speaker 2: You're talking about Texas and A & M.
- 22:20Speaker 7: Texas and Texas A & M. If a four-loss Texas
- 22:24Speaker 7: team and a five-loss A & M team played in
- 22:27Speaker 7: that game the day after Thanksgiving.
- 22:29Speaker 2: I would say it's a toss-up.
- 22:31Speaker 7: Exactly.
- 22:32Speaker 2: It's a toss-up.
- 22:32Speaker 7: It's a toss-up.
- 22:34Speaker 2: No, not the game. You're saying the most disappointing season.
- 22:37Speaker 2: I would say it's a toss-up. Without question. Because both
- 22:41Speaker 2: teams are expecting much more than that. Exactly.
- 22:44Speaker 7: In this league, if you don't play good football. And
- 22:48Speaker 7: if your best players don't play good football, which means
- 22:51Speaker 7: if your quarterback doesn't play good football, then you're in trouble.
- 22:55Speaker 2: So change quarterbacks?
- 22:59Speaker 7: I don't know. I don't think any team in this
- 23:04Speaker 7: league knows that their second-string quarterback can win any games
- 23:09Speaker 7: in this league.
- 23:11Speaker 6: Knows.
- 23:12Speaker 2: Knows.
- 23:13Speaker 7: That I've got a guy just as good that I'm
- 23:15Speaker 7: not playing.
- 23:16Speaker 2: By the way, Riola came back to Riola-ville this last weekend.
- 23:21Speaker 7: Yeah, but that's what's up. Chip, do you think there's
- 23:25Speaker 7: any team in this league that thinks their second-team quarterback
- 23:28Speaker 7: can go out and win games on a consistent basis?
- 23:30Speaker 2: Well, that's a great question. I don't think anymore you
- 23:32Speaker 2: can do that because all the quarterbacks are gone.
- 23:35Speaker 7: They're gone.
- 23:35Speaker 2: They want to play. They're all playing. The guys who
- 23:38Speaker 2: would have been second team at a big school are
- 23:40Speaker 2: now going.
- 23:41Speaker 7: Georgia's second team quarterback. That's what they have now. A
- 23:44Speaker 7: guy who was their second team quarterback a couple years
- 23:47Speaker 7: ago that stayed. Yeah.
- 23:48Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 23:49Speaker 2: All right. And almost no one's doing that.
- 23:51Speaker 6: No.
- 23:52Speaker 7: So you have no idea.
- 23:53Speaker 2: No idea.
- 23:54Speaker 7: You have no idea if any of those second team
- 23:56Speaker 7: quarterbacks can play.
- 23:57Speaker 2: But you know what? Guess what? I'm not saying if
- 24:01Speaker 2: he can play against the Citadel, that means he can.
- 24:03Speaker 2: But that's the other thing. I think we will see him.
- 24:09Speaker 2: play quite a bit this Saturday. I don't know this,
- 24:12Speaker 2: but I'm just... I'm thinking you've got to get him
- 24:14Speaker 2: experience no matter what, right? And this is a game
- 24:17Speaker 2: you need to play him some. Now, you want your...
- 24:20Speaker 2: If you're staying... With Marcel, he's got to get some confidence.
- 24:25Speaker 2: He's got to throw the ball a little bit and
- 24:26Speaker 2: complete the ball a little bit. He's got to play
- 24:27Speaker 2: like he did against Arkansas. He's got to throw the
- 24:30Speaker 2: ball a little bit, right, and run the ball a
- 24:32Speaker 2: little bit.
- 24:33Speaker 7: Play like he did against Arkansas. You play a half
- 24:35Speaker 7: of football like you played against Arkansas.
- 24:37Speaker 2: He better be better than that against the Citadel. That's
- 24:40Speaker 2: my point. And then you better give your second-team guy
- 24:45Speaker 2: at least a half, right? To play and see. And
- 24:51Speaker 2: I would not put, even if you're thinking about changing quarterbacks,
- 24:56Speaker 2: would you do it before you go to Alabama? No.
- 25:00Speaker 2: Don't you do it after that in the open week?
- 25:03Speaker 9: Yes.
- 25:03Speaker 2: When you have two weeks?
- 25:04Speaker 10: Yes.
- 25:05Speaker 2: That would be logical, would it not?
- 25:08Speaker 7: Yes, it would be.
- 25:08Speaker 2: You don't stick a second-team quarterback. Chip. By the way,
- 25:12Speaker 2: if you thought that second-team quarterback Was better than your
- 25:17Speaker 2: first-team quarterback as bad as he's been in parts? Wouldn't
- 25:21Speaker 2: we have seen him?
- 25:22Speaker 9: Yes.
- 25:23Speaker 2: Thank you. Wouldn't we have seen him by now?
- 25:26Speaker 7: Who's John Mateer's backup?
- 25:28Speaker 2: I have no idea.
- 25:29Speaker 7: If you thought he was any good, would he have
- 25:31Speaker 7: played for OU?
- 25:32Speaker 6: Oh, my gosh.
- 25:34Speaker 2: Why wouldn't you have put him in?
- 25:36Speaker 9: Right?
- 25:36Speaker 7: I don't even know who.
- 25:38Speaker 2: Archer's backup is.
- 25:39Speaker 7: You just said you don't think Mississippi State would do
- 25:43Speaker 7: anything unless they get their quarterback back.
- 25:46Speaker 2: No question. No question.
- 25:49Speaker 7: We have no idea what Florida will be in Austin
- 25:51Speaker 7: this weekend.
- 25:52Speaker 2: I don't know who the backup at Florida is.
- 25:54Speaker 6: No. Yeah.
- 25:56Speaker 7: Because the guy who was a backup at Florida is
- 25:59Speaker 7: now starting for somebody in the SEC. Yeah.
- 26:05Speaker 2: That's just the way things work. So, yeah, all up. Again,
- 26:11Speaker 2: this is part. You say it's 500. I don't think
- 26:14Speaker 2: it's 500. I don't think there's that many. But there
- 26:17Speaker 2: may be. There's a lot of stupid people and a
- 26:19Speaker 2: lot of stupid fans. So there may be 500. There
- 26:21Speaker 2: may be more than 500 because they're not very smart. But, again,
- 26:29Speaker 2: if you thought, if Coach Elko thought, He could have
- 26:34Speaker 2: gone to Missouri and won in Columbia with the backup quarterback,
- 26:39Speaker 2: even in the second half. The backup quarterback would have played.
- 26:44Speaker 2: He would have been in the game. You know why?
- 26:48Speaker 2: You're here next week. You know why? Yeah, because he
- 26:50Speaker 2: wants to win games and he hates to lose games.
- 26:52Speaker 4: But you know why?
- 26:53Speaker 7: Because when you had Connor Wigman not playing well against LSU,
- 26:58Speaker 7: you put in the backup quarterback and he's been your
- 27:00Speaker 7: starter ever since. He's already showed that if I think
- 27:05Speaker 7: the backup quarterback is the one who needs to play
- 27:08Speaker 7: and then goes out there and plays and performs and
- 27:10Speaker 7: gets you that win and then becomes your quarterback from
- 27:13Speaker 7: then on, I've already showed you I'm going to do that.
- 27:16Speaker 2: Don't confuse everybody with the facts, man.
- 27:19Speaker 7: C-L-E-N-D-E-N-I-N. And I will be back on Texags during baseball season.
- 27:26Speaker 2: Please do not confuse people with the facts. Okay, coming up.

- 31:09Speaker 2: always hate to start this way, Mallory, but we must.
- 31:17Speaker 2: This happened a couple of days ago. RJ Middy. Who
- 31:25Speaker 2: played Walter White's son in Breaking Bad.
- 31:29Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 31:30Speaker 2: Died Monday in Los Fresnos, Texas, way down in the
- 31:34Speaker 2: valley where he lived. Longtime advocate for cerebral palsy. Used it, obviously,
- 31:44Speaker 2: didn't have any choice in his acting. He was Flynn. Flynn.
- 31:54Speaker 2: Walter White Jr., Bryan Cranston's son. Cranston said, I'm at
- 32:00Speaker 2: a loss for words. I'm heartbroken over this news. And
- 32:11Speaker 2: I met him when he was only 14, when he
- 32:13Speaker 2: was cast. A part he played with such joy and enthusiasm. Middy.
- 32:23Speaker 2: committed suicide and they haven't really, you know, gone into
- 32:32Speaker 2: any details, which they don't need to.
- 32:33Speaker 5: Oh, I didn't even know that was the reason.
- 32:38Speaker 9: Yes.
- 32:39Speaker 5: I mean, I knew he was obviously young.
- 32:42Speaker 9: Right. But.
- 32:43Speaker 2: Yeah, he was like 31 or something like that.
- 32:46Speaker 5: Yeah, he had health complications. So, of course, my brain
- 32:49Speaker 5: just went.
- 32:50Speaker 2: Yes.
- 32:51Speaker 9: Yes.
- 32:53Speaker 2: As did mine. Yeah.
- 32:55Speaker 5: Oh, that's so sad.
- 32:57Speaker 2: Let's see. Days before his death, he was on a
- 33:05Speaker 2: podcast a week before his death, the Joe Vulpes podcast,
- 33:10Speaker 2: saying Walter Jr. was based on a real person, a
- 33:15Speaker 2: friend of creator Vince Gilligan's in college who had cerebral palsy,
- 33:18Speaker 2: who used forearm crutches. So it really felt real playing
- 33:24Speaker 2: this character and getting into the groove with this character.
- 33:29Speaker 2: So I'm trying to find his age, but it was
- 33:34Speaker 2: it was early.
- 33:34Speaker 5: I know he was in his 30s.
- 33:37Speaker 2: Early 30s for sure. And I don't know how many
- 33:40Speaker 2: people know that he lived down in the valley.
- 33:43Speaker 5: You know, I definitely did not know that.
- 33:45Speaker 2: Yeah, he certainly wasn't part of Hollywood, you know. Man,
- 33:51Speaker 2: that's so sad.
- 33:52Speaker 1: Yep, it is.
- 33:53Speaker 7: There's been a lot of that lately.
- 33:55Speaker 2: There has.
- 33:56Speaker 5: I feel like celebrities, like a lot of younger celebrities.
- 33:59Speaker 2: Well, younger.
- 34:00Speaker 9: Yep.
- 34:02Speaker 2: I've got another like health update. John Stamos shared an
- 34:09Speaker 2: emotional message regarding the health of his longtime friend and
- 34:14Speaker 2: Beach Boys frontman, Mike Love. They played their first public
- 34:19Speaker 2: concert in three months this past Saturday in Cincinnati, following
- 34:24Speaker 2: a series of delays and cancellations because Love, who is 85,
- 34:30Speaker 2: needed a, quote, recharge. Stamos has performed as a guest
- 34:36Speaker 2: with the group for a long time. Just said that
- 34:40Speaker 2: Love has been going through some health issues, insisted on
- 34:46Speaker 2: doing the show. walked Love on the stage where he
- 34:52Speaker 2: sat during the set, wrote on Instagram, I'm boarding a
- 34:59Speaker 2: plane to Nashville to play with the Beach Boys at
- 35:01Speaker 2: the Ryman Auditorium. I had friends at that concert, believe
- 35:03Speaker 2: it or not. Struggling to put my feelings into words,
- 35:09Speaker 2: my beloved friend, father figure, musical hero, mentor Mike Love
- 35:14Speaker 2: is facing some serious health challenges today. We hope he'll
- 35:18Speaker 2: be doing what he loves for years to come, but
- 35:20Speaker 2: we don't know what the future holds. So that doesn't
- 35:24Speaker 2: sound too good.
- 35:26Speaker 9: Jeez.
- 35:26Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 35:27Speaker 2: So help us out here.
- 35:30Speaker 12: Well.
- 35:31Speaker 2: Help us out.
- 35:34Speaker 5: Let's just switch gears completely.
- 35:36Speaker 9: Yes.
- 35:37Speaker 2: If you are a big X-Files fan. X-Files. My wife
- 35:41Speaker 2: loved the X-Files.
- 35:43Speaker 5: Is this the theme song that....
- 35:46Speaker 2: Yes, that is it. Could you do that again? No,
- 35:52Speaker 2: no one wants that, Chip. It's a one and done.
- 35:54Speaker 2: My wife loved it. It's Muller and Scully. No, Sculler
- 35:59Speaker 2: and Moldy.
- 36:00Speaker 5: Well, call your wife because apparently it's back, Chip.
- 36:04Speaker 9: Nice.
- 36:05Speaker 5: Director Ryan Coogler?
- 36:08Speaker 2: Everyone's run out of ideas, so they just keep bringing
- 36:11Speaker 2: back old shows.
- 36:11Speaker 5: Let's go back to the 90s.
- 36:13Speaker 2: Yeah, hey, that worked. Let's do that.
- 36:17Speaker 5: You know, people are really into nostalgia right now, so
- 36:20Speaker 5: let's bring it back. And why not? Because apparently aliens
- 36:24Speaker 5: are real, so here we go. Apparently, he's hoping for
- 36:29Speaker 5: a reboot of the beloved science fiction series, and it
- 36:32Speaker 5: was announced by Hulu.
- 36:33Speaker 2: Nice. Yesterday. So how exciting. Nice.
- 36:36Speaker 5: The upcoming series is described as a reimagining of Chris
- 36:42Speaker 5: Carter's classic and will star, oh, it'll have Danielle Deadweiler.
- 36:48Speaker 2: Don't know.
- 36:49Speaker 5: And Hamish Patel.
- 36:52Speaker 2: Okay. I've heard of him.
- 36:55Speaker 5: From the Odyssey.
- 36:56Speaker 2: Okay.
- 36:57Speaker 5: They're two highly decorated but vastly different FBI agents who
- 37:01Speaker 5: will form an unlikely bond when they are assigned to
- 37:05Speaker 5: a long, shuttered division devoted to cases involving unexplained phenomena.
- 37:10Speaker 2: Done, done, done. What a deal.
- 37:14Speaker 5: I will apparently.
- 37:16Speaker 5: Kugler said, I've loved the X-Files for a long time,
- 37:19Speaker 5: so getting a chance to write and direct the pilot
- 37:21Speaker 5: has meant a great deal to me. What Chris Carter
- 37:24Speaker 5: created is special, and we wanted to honor everything that
- 37:26Speaker 5: made the original series connect with so many while finding
- 37:30Speaker 5: our own way into the world. So he apparently was
- 37:35Speaker 5: the Oscar-winning filmmaker behind Black Panther.
- 37:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 37:40Speaker 5: And he applauded Deadweiler and Patel for bringing the original
- 37:44Speaker 5: perspectives and performances to these characters. Watching that come together
- 37:51Speaker 5: has been really one of the most rewarding parts of
- 37:53Speaker 5: the experience. So Kugler did write and direct the first
- 37:58Speaker 5: episode of the reboot series, and he serves as the
- 38:01Speaker 5: executive producer alongside showrunner Jennifer Yale, who has confirmed this.
- 38:07Speaker 2: So how exciting, guys.
- 38:08Speaker 7: How about that?
- 38:10Speaker 5: I wonder if they will make, you know, the original character.
- 38:13Speaker 2: The X-Files is, well, they have to, don't they? Don't
- 38:16Speaker 2: they have to make an appearance? Oh, yeah, they have
- 38:18Speaker 2: to make a cameo.
- 38:18Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 38:19Speaker 5: I mean, people would be mad if they didn't.
- 38:21Speaker 2: Okay, so you have the Kelly Clarkson update, right? Do
- 38:26Speaker 2: we not have an update on Kelly? Oh, we sure do.
- 38:30Speaker 2: There's video? Did I see this right? Yeah, because I
- 38:32Speaker 2: hadn't read the whole thing.
- 38:33Speaker 7: I got to just say.
- 38:37Speaker 5: And when the world is so chaotic and toxic, I
- 38:40Speaker 5: love these types of stories.
- 38:43Speaker 2: I mean, how else does this stuff make headlines in
- 38:47Speaker 2: the United States with everything that's going on?
- 38:51Speaker 5: It's like a more refreshing kind of drama that we need.
- 38:58Speaker 2: I tell you what this reminds me of, and I
- 39:00Speaker 2: don't know anything that happened.
- 39:03Speaker 9: Okay.
- 39:03Speaker 2: This reminds me of... Do you know who I am?
- 39:09Speaker 5: Well, okay.
- 39:10Speaker 2: No, though.
- 39:11Speaker 5: Kind of a no. Some people are, but kind of
- 39:14Speaker 5: a no.
- 39:14Speaker 2: Okay.
- 39:15Speaker 5: Um, just because, uh, okay. So let's just, I could
- 39:19Speaker 5: see how you could think that, but the saga is
- 39:21Speaker 5: continuing between Kelly Clarkson and the New York city specialty
- 39:24Speaker 5: store art of play. And it has taken another turn. Um,
- 39:30Speaker 5: apparently a prominent journalist did obtain security for, uh, footage
- 39:34Speaker 5: from inside the Brooklyn location. Um, so when apparently in
- 39:39Speaker 5: the internal video, which appeared to show Clarkson inside of
- 39:43Speaker 5: art of play during an episode of his show, uh, sorry,
- 39:46Speaker 5: it was a podcast or, or it's a Pitzler podcast.
- 39:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 39:52Speaker 5: Anyways, he got it. OK, the host didn't reveal how
- 39:57Speaker 5: he did obtain this footage, but the back and forth
- 40:00Speaker 5: between the platinum singer and the small business began on
- 40:04Speaker 5: October 10th. When Clarkson took to social media basically to
- 40:08Speaker 5: accuse the store of treating her as if she couldn't
- 40:11Speaker 5: afford a $ 15, 000 mechanical singing bird named Molly.
- 40:15Speaker 7: And if you think.
- 40:16Speaker 5: That you must be in another dimension because what? No,
- 40:21Speaker 5: this is real life. she compared her visit that day
- 40:25Speaker 5: to the famous scene from Pretty Woman in which Julia
- 40:27Speaker 5: Roberts' character was turned away from a high-end boutique. So
- 40:31Speaker 5: Art of Play did respond with a series of statements
- 40:34Speaker 5: that pushed back on Clarkson's claim, saying that first they
- 40:38Speaker 5: said that the yellow wooden bird box was not for
- 40:42Speaker 5: sale and calling it a misunderstanding. In response, Clarkson called
- 40:48Speaker 5: the shop owner rude and a liar. The shop's co-owner... Um,
- 40:54Speaker 5: who has also said he was overwhelmed since the incident. Um,
- 40:58Speaker 5: Clarkson has a massive and passionate online fan base with 8.8
- 41:02Speaker 5: million followers on X alone, where her initial post has
- 41:05Speaker 5: gandered more than 45 million views. He claimed his fourth
- 41:08Speaker 5: phone and emails have been flooded with threatening messages and
- 41:11Speaker 5: their neighbors have been doxxed. Um, during his 46 minute podcast, um, Hmm. Tor,
- 41:20Speaker 5: I guess was the guy's name, repeated those claims.
- 41:23Speaker 2: Pablo Tori. Yeah, Tori.
- 41:25Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 41:26Speaker 5: He did do see my scene. The video has no audio. Apparently,
- 41:30Speaker 5: Clarkson did walk into the store with another person who
- 41:32Speaker 5: was also dressed just in casual everyday wear. Yellow T-shirt,
- 41:37Speaker 5: joggers with a backpack around her shoulder. Apparently, it appeared
- 41:42Speaker 5: that they were in the store for like two minutes
- 41:44Speaker 5: standing in the front or in front of the device
- 41:48Speaker 5: in question, Molly the bird. The mechanical bird, again, Clarkson
- 41:52Speaker 5: speaks with the associates and then gestures towards the bird.
- 41:56Speaker 5: The associates point to an area below the bird where
- 41:59Speaker 5: two tags were positioned that say, do not touch. And
- 42:02Speaker 5: the other had a description and a price. So I
- 42:04Speaker 5: have just some more backstory on this just because I've
- 42:07Speaker 5: been following it because, again, it's a ridiculous story. Apparently,
- 42:10Speaker 5: the two shop owners have been very contradictory in every
- 42:13Speaker 5: single thing that they said, though. First, they said the
- 42:15Speaker 5: bird wasn't for sale. Then there was a picture that
- 42:17Speaker 5: clearly showed the bird for sale. Then they said, no,
- 42:21Speaker 5: this particular bird was not for sale. It was just
- 42:25Speaker 5: this whole thing back and forth. So people are kind
- 42:28Speaker 5: of actually defending Clarkson on this side more so than them.
- 42:33Speaker 2: Adam Rubin, one of the co-owners.
- 42:37Speaker 9: Yes.
- 42:38Speaker 2: Says the price for Molly is now $ 15 million. Yeah,
- 42:44Speaker 2: so good for you.
- 42:45Speaker 5: You know, like, yeah, they can talk all about that.
- 42:48Speaker 5: I mean, she's bringing a lot of spotlight on your.
- 42:52Speaker 2: Business, huh? $ 15 million. Well, all he has to do
- 42:55Speaker 2: is sell one, right?
- 42:57Speaker 5: Literally, then close up shop. I've also heard that the
- 43:00Speaker 5: two co-owners are actually very wealthy on their own and
- 43:02Speaker 5: don't actually, they're not like struggling.
- 43:04Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know if I believe any of this
- 43:07Speaker 2: on either side. You know what I'm saying? It's ridiculous.
- 43:11Speaker 5: This is the kind of pointless drama.
- 43:13Speaker 2: Exactly. This is what the internet is made for right here.
- 43:18Speaker 2: This is detrimental. As someone close to me said recently,
- 43:25Speaker 2: it's a cesspool. i've been waiting for that one.
- 43:31Speaker 5: Okay the kardashians were there kim lost a diamond earring
- 43:35Speaker 5: in the water and courtney and she's crying and courtney's
- 43:37Speaker 5: like there are people dying like there are literally people
- 43:44Speaker 5: dying but.
- 43:46Speaker 2: Sure this is ridiculous molly the bird the bird uh
- 43:51Speaker 2: now 15 million i hope somebody comes in and buys
- 43:54Speaker 2: molly um I.
- 43:56Speaker 5: Hope Clarkson does.
- 43:56Speaker 2: She can still afford it, I'm pretty sure. She probably could.
- 43:59Speaker 2: So how about names, female names? Many of the time,
- 44:07Speaker 2: I know you're going to be shocked by this. According
- 44:09Speaker 2: to data from the Social Security Administration, several names that
- 44:15Speaker 2: once held top 10 positions in the 1950s are hardly
- 44:22Speaker 2: on the list anymore. Are you ready?
- 44:24Speaker 6: Yes.
- 44:25Speaker 2: Top 20 girls' names in the 50s.
- 44:30Speaker 9: You ready?
- 44:30Speaker 6: Okay.
- 44:31Speaker 2: I'm so ready. Mary, Linda, Patricia, Susan, Deborah, Barbara, Karen, Nancy, Donna, Cynthia, Sandra, Pamela, Sharon, Kathleen, Carol, Diane, Brenda, Cheryl, Janet.
- 44:51Speaker 2: Deborah peaked at number two in 1956. Hasn't made it
- 44:57Speaker 2: to the top 1,000 names on the list since 1998.
- 45:04Speaker 2: So everybody's always looking to, you know, do something unique.
- 45:11Speaker 2: Why don't you call your daughter Deborah? That will be unique.
- 45:16Speaker 2: It's my wife's name.
- 45:17Speaker 5: Now is your chance.
- 45:18Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 45:18Speaker 2: Hey, if you want to be unique, Susan has dropped
- 45:22Speaker 2: down the list over the years. Listen to this. The
- 45:26Speaker 2: last time Susan cracked the top 1,000 was 2020. Since then,
- 45:36Speaker 2: the name has fallen from the top baby name list
- 45:40Speaker 2: all together.
- 45:42Speaker 5: I'm surprised it lasted that long until 2020.
- 45:46Speaker 7: I mean that with.
- 45:47Speaker 6: All respect to Susan.
- 45:48Speaker 2: You don't like Susans?
- 45:50Speaker 5: No, I have no problem with Susans. I actually went
- 45:52Speaker 5: to high school with a girl named Susan. I just.
- 45:56Speaker 8: I don't know.
- 45:57Speaker 5: With those names, I don't know why my brain, I
- 45:59Speaker 5: can't picture someone having a baby and it being named Barbara.
- 46:04Speaker 7: You're too young.
- 46:04Speaker 2: I don't know why.
- 46:06Speaker 5: It's my generation.
- 46:07Speaker 2: I'm sorry. Talking about my generation.
- 46:10Speaker 5: We like to spell kids or simple names with G-H's
- 46:15Speaker 5: for no reason.
- 46:15Speaker 2: What could be more common?
- 46:16Speaker 9: Susan.
- 46:22Speaker 2: I mean, that's incredible to me.
- 46:25Speaker 5: You're welcome, guys, if you're listening.
- 46:27Speaker 2: Listen to the guys' names. Okay, here's the top 20
- 46:30Speaker 2: guys' names in the 1950s, okay?
- 46:33Speaker 5: Okay.
- 46:34Speaker 2: James, Michael, Robert, John, David, William, Richard, Thomas, Mark, Charles, Stephen, Gary, Joseph, Donald, Ronald, Kenneth, Paul, Larry, Daniel, Stephen.
- 46:51Speaker 5: Some of those I'm not sure about because I have
- 46:54Speaker 5: a five-and-a-half-year-old, and I've met some little kids with those names.
- 46:57Speaker 2: Okay.
- 47:00Speaker 5: Wow.
- 47:01Speaker 2: I'm just going to say you want your kid's name
- 47:04Speaker 2: to be unique. We got you. Go back to the 1950s.
- 47:08Speaker 2: They're great names. There's nothing wrong with their names. They're strong,
- 47:12Speaker 2: strong names. Yeah. I mean, I'm amazed by that.
- 47:15Speaker 3: I'm really.
- 47:19Speaker 2: I don't get surprised very often, but that surprised me.
- 47:24Speaker 5: Well, again, the girl names I'm not super surprised by,
- 47:26Speaker 5: but the boys, I'm actually pretty surprised by some of
- 47:28Speaker 5: the boy ones.
- 47:30Speaker 2: Okay. So this is a Kelly Clarkson story. Have you
- 47:36Speaker 2: seen this one? Selma Blair showed up in court Monday
- 47:42Speaker 2: on charges of assaulting a nurse and a police officer.
- 47:47Speaker 2: The Port Authority police involved. say the officer sustained swelling
- 47:52Speaker 2: to the face, substantial pain to the arm where he
- 47:55Speaker 2: was kicked. The 54-year-old Blair allegedly kicked the officer in
- 48:01Speaker 2: the face, the neck, the chest while he was on
- 48:03Speaker 2: active duty before kicking a nurse after being transported to
- 48:08Speaker 2: the hospital for treatment. Blair, an actress, was seen tearfully
- 48:15Speaker 2: appearing in court. Later released on bail, pleaded not guilty
- 48:20Speaker 2: to two counts of second-degree assault. $ 20, 000 cash, $ 60, 000 bail.
- 48:32Speaker 2: People magazine confirmed the officer. Let's see. It doesn't matter
- 48:39Speaker 2: what their names are. The alleged assault on the nurse
- 48:42Speaker 2: occurred at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, 2 a.m. Monday morning,
- 48:48Speaker 2: while she was assisting Blair's transport for further medical treatment.
- 48:53Speaker 2: This all started on an airplane, by the way.
- 48:57Speaker 9: Right?
- 48:58Speaker 2: The lawyer says it's all medication. She hadn't taken her
- 49:05Speaker 2: meds lately. I'm thinking, man, if this is how she
- 49:12Speaker 2: acts without her meds, she really needs those meds. I'm
- 49:16Speaker 2: also thinking, and I don't know this, I don't want
- 49:21Speaker 2: to tamper with the potential jury pool. Just asking the question,
- 49:29Speaker 2: since it was a flight, could alcohol have been involved?
- 49:33Speaker 2: That's all I'm saying. That's all I'm saying.
- 49:37Speaker 5: Look, I'm not downplaying that she's dealing with a lot,
- 49:40Speaker 5: but I feel like when you're prescribed certain medicine and
- 49:44Speaker 5: then you just decide to take yourself off and then
- 49:46Speaker 5: you have the reaction like this, you still got to
- 49:50Speaker 5: be kind of held for your.
- 49:51Speaker 2: Well, the other question is... There are consequences. Well, there
- 49:55Speaker 2: are consequences. There are other questions. Was she actually on medication?
- 50:00Speaker 2: I mean, that would come out in court, you know,
- 50:03Speaker 2: I'm guessing.
- 50:03Speaker 9: Of course. So.
- 50:06Speaker 2: We'll continue to watch this story. We certainly will. Let's
- 50:11Speaker 2: do some birthdays, can we?
- 50:14Speaker 9: Sure.
- 50:15Speaker 5: We can try.
- 50:16Speaker 2: Let me do yesterday. First of all, there are some
- 50:19Speaker 2: famous musicians who had birthdays yesterday. I mean, a lot
- 50:23Speaker 2: of them.
- 50:25Speaker 7: Shout them out.
- 50:26Speaker 2: Paul Simon turned 85 yesterday. Still touring. Robert Lamb of Chicago.
- 50:34Speaker 2: 82 yesterday, still touring. Lacey J. Dalton, 80, still singing.
- 50:44Speaker 2: Sammy Hagar, 79, still performing. John Ford Coley of England
- 50:52Speaker 2: Dan and John Ford Coley, 78 yesterday. I mean, that
- 50:58Speaker 2: is a pile of well-known. Marie Osmond, parts of her,
- 51:02Speaker 2: 67 yesterday. That's a pile of singers right there. You
- 51:10Speaker 2: know what I'm saying?
- 51:11Speaker 9: It is. I mean.
- 51:12Speaker 2: They're still doing it. Still good for y'all. Still getting
- 51:15Speaker 2: it done.
- 51:17Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 51:18Speaker 2: Sasha Baron Cohen turned 55 yesterday. Let's see. All right.
- 51:26Speaker 2: That's enough. That's a lot. Let's do today. Can we?
- 51:30Speaker 2: We can try. Oh, look at this one. Cliff Richard, 86.
- 51:35Speaker 2: Justin Hayward. And there aren't many surviving members of the
- 51:39Speaker 2: Moody Blues left, unfortunately. It's been a bad couple of
- 51:42Speaker 2: years for that group. Justin Hayward, 80 today.
- 51:48Speaker 5: Lori Petty.
- 51:50Speaker 7: No way.
- 51:50Speaker 5: From A League of Their Own, 63.
- 51:53Speaker 2: Okay. Oh, Natalie Names of the Chicks, 52.
- 52:01Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 52:06Speaker 8: Thank you.
- 52:07Speaker 7: Oh, Usher.
- 52:08Speaker 2: Usher. How old's Usher?
- 52:09Speaker 6: I'm sorry.
- 52:10Speaker 5: Was that the one you were about to say?
- 52:11Speaker 9: No.
- 52:12Speaker 2: How old's Usher?
- 52:12Speaker 9: Okay.
- 52:13Speaker 5: Usher. Usher is 48.
- 52:16Speaker 2: No way. Stacey Keebler from WWE. Parts of her are 47.
- 52:23Speaker 2: Very few parts of her 47. Tomorrow, Barry McGuire, the
- 52:31Speaker 2: Eve of Destruction. I saw him sing that song long,
- 52:37Speaker 2: long time ago. He is 91 tomorrow. Richard Carpenter of
- 52:44Speaker 2: the Carpenters. Man, she had a great voice. Richard Carpenter
- 52:51Speaker 2: turns 80 tomorrow. Comedian actor Larry Miller, Mad About You,
- 52:57Speaker 2: Boston Legal, 73 tomorrow. Jerry Burns, he has played a
- 53:00Speaker 2: lot of characters. 72 tomorrow. And bam, Emeril Lagasse, 67 tomorrow.
- 53:11Speaker 2: You don't see or hear from Emeril very much anymore.
- 53:17Speaker 5: Maybe he's enjoying his time, his life now.
- 53:21Speaker 2: I know. I think that Emeril was a little bit
- 53:25Speaker 2: difficult to work with. From what I understand. Oh, okay. Nevermind.
- 53:31Speaker 2: You know, I, I just, I feel like he may
- 53:34Speaker 2: be a little bit difficult, you know?
- 53:37Speaker 5: Oh, so it's his own fault.
- 53:39Speaker 2: Well, I'm not, you know, I don't know that. Uh,
- 53:42Speaker 2: but I will tell you, I loved, loved Emeril's hour
- 53:49Speaker 2: long TV show. He had music with him, bands, guests. I,
- 53:55Speaker 2: I love that show. I grew up, that show helped
- 53:58Speaker 2: me with cooking. I'm just telling you. It made me
- 54:01Speaker 2: want to get in the kitchen. This one's positive. I
- 54:06Speaker 2: still eat at Emeril's restaurants whenever possible. I'll put it
- 54:09Speaker 2: that way.
- 54:10Speaker 5: Well, to be fair, chefs aren't known to be the most.
- 54:13Speaker 9: Thank you.
- 54:14Speaker 2: You are exactly right. You are exactly right. I've got
- 54:19Speaker 2: a lot of passion and rage. You are right. There
- 54:23Speaker 2: aren't many, quote, normal chefs. chefs. On that note, get
- 54:29Speaker 2: in the kitchen and cook something, but be kind about it.

- 55:40Speaker 2: I'm Trevor Beck with your Cowboys report.
- 55:42Speaker 13: The Cowboys have hired former head coach of the Cleveland Browns,
- 55:44Speaker 13: Mike Benton, as a senior defensive assistant. Jerry Jones was
- 55:48Speaker 13: on with the Sean and RJ show this morning asking
- 55:50Speaker 13: if it was an experience hire to help defensive coordinator
- 55:53Speaker 13: Christian Parker.
- 55:54Speaker 9: Well, I don't look at it that way. You know,
- 55:58Speaker 9: we had Uberflues, our defensive coordinator last year, serves in
- 56:05Speaker 9: this same role for San Francisco right now, and he
- 56:08Speaker 9: is their advisor. And, of course, we moved on from overflows,
