- 0:16Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 0:18Speaker 3: I'm doing well, Mark, how are you doing today?
- 0:19Speaker 2: Good?
- 0:21Speaker 3: I have a It bothers me to think how much
- 0:25Speaker 3: money we waste in congressional hearings and Senate hearings and
- 0:29Speaker 3: Supreme Court reviewing things. How come with this women's sports issue?
- 0:35Speaker 3: How come they don't just set up a vote, go
- 0:37Speaker 3: to the NCAA, have all the women secure email vote
- 0:40Speaker 3: and see how they feel, rather than having a bunch
- 0:42Speaker 3: of geriatrics that are just trying to get votes, trying
- 0:46Speaker 3: to make decisions that affects millions of women.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Well, it's just people playing politics with it. Listen, it's
- 0:51Speaker 2: just simple common sense. You don't have guys playing in
- 0:54Speaker 2: women's sports. It's absolutely ridiculous. I mean, I was in
- 0:57Speaker 2: high school. I played football. I thought I'd be great.
- 1:00Speaker 2: What you go out there in the field and you
- 1:02Speaker 2: may be good, But then all of a sudden, these
- 1:04Speaker 2: guys much bigger than you just jump on you and
- 1:06Speaker 2: tackle you. And it's tough. If I could have gone
- 1:10Speaker 2: down there and played on the against the women, I
- 1:13Speaker 2: would have done much better. I would have been Tom Brady.
- 1:15Speaker 2: I would have crushed them all. But it's ridiculous. It's
- 1:19Speaker 2: absolutely ludicrous men playing in women's sports. Let's go to
- 1:24Speaker 2: Dennis in Connecticut. Dennis, how you doing fine?
- 1:28Speaker 4: I'm an old Saturday listener.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Well whatever that is.
- 1:33Speaker 4: Yeah, I have cousins that have graduated from the nursing
- 1:36Speaker 4: schools when they were in hospitals, and that when they
- 1:40Speaker 4: started making nurses go to college, that's when the shortage happened.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Well, you have to go to college to be a nurse.
- 1:48Speaker 4: Now, yes, oh, yes, you have it. Well, to get
- 1:52Speaker 4: a nursing degree, you have to have a college nursing degree.
- 1:56Speaker 4: You don't get taught traded the hospital anymore. You have
- 1:59Speaker 4: them for i'd say thirty maybe more years.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Yeah, well, most there's is a pretty good It is
- 2:04Speaker 2: a noble occupation. Let's go to Tim and the Conger's
- 2:08Speaker 2: New York. Tim, how are you doing good?
- 2:10Speaker 5: Good? How are you? Yeah?
- 2:11Speaker 6: I just had a quick question, you know, like say,
- 2:13Speaker 6: for example, you don't have a cell phone. This is
- 2:15Speaker 6: regarding the entrance to the fair to get into the subway.
- 2:18Speaker 6: And I don't go to the I don't go to
- 2:20Speaker 6: the city much. I'm an older guy. I don't go
- 2:21Speaker 6: to the city much at all anymore. But if you
- 2:23Speaker 6: don't have a cell phone, how can you just like
- 2:25Speaker 6: pass a credit card or something.
- 2:27Speaker 2: If you don't have a cell phone. Who on earth
- 2:29Speaker 2: would that be?
- 2:30Speaker 6: I don't have a cell phone?
- 2:32Speaker 5: What?
- 2:33Speaker 2: Why?
- 2:33Speaker 6: Yeah? Why? I get confused. I don't I'm an older guy.
- 2:38Speaker 6: I threw it. I threw it down the stairs. That broke.
- 2:41Speaker 6: I got so.
- 2:43Speaker 2: I know one woman, a friend of mine, one woman
- 2:45Speaker 2: who has no cell phone, never has. I don't know why.
- 2:48Speaker 2: She's just against them.
- 2:49Speaker 6: I've had them, but I get so frustrated with them
- 2:52Speaker 6: because like I can't get it out of airplane mode.
- 2:55Speaker 6: I just I threw it down the stairs. It broke.
- 2:59Speaker 6: I said, to hell, get a phone.
- 3:01Speaker 2: You could be on Instagram, you could be on TikTok,
- 3:03Speaker 2: you can see porn wherever. You want. To Get a phone.
- 3:06Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, I'm gonna go see port anytime I want.
- 3:09Speaker 2: That might be good for you. Get a phone. You
- 3:11Speaker 2: could be on Instagram, you could be on all that stuff.
- 3:14Speaker 2: You can get all those apps. It's it's good for you.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Let's go to Vincent and Brooklyn Vincent. How you doing.
- 3:20Speaker 5: Yeah, to be previous caller. They make now cell phones
- 3:23Speaker 5: for seniors where they don't have all the bells and
- 3:26Speaker 5: whistles they have. You could call your relatives. They have
- 3:30Speaker 5: a phone backed memory and so forth and so forth.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Do you mean, like like an uncle junior a flip phone.
- 3:36Speaker 5: Yeah, but they sell them and you could get text
- 3:39Speaker 5: messages on them. There. It's not an iPhone, but you
- 3:43Speaker 5: could for emergency purposes if you have to call people
- 3:47Speaker 5: in an emergency. Yeah, Mark, What I wanted to talk
- 3:50Speaker 5: about is I told Chris yesterday, I'm about to listen
- 3:54Speaker 5: to Buck and Clay and all of a sudden, I'm
- 3:57Speaker 5: smelling weed and I live in a brownstone. I'm smelling
- 4:02Speaker 5: weed at my house, and say, what the dollar is
- 4:04Speaker 5: going on here? I look out the window and Kathy
- 4:07Speaker 5: Hoko and Andrew Cuomo should have thought about this in advance.
- 4:13Speaker 5: They have no foresight on my stoopid in the entrance
- 4:17Speaker 5: to my building, there are four teenagers from the local
- 4:21Speaker 5: junior high school lighting up these spliffs that would have
- 4:25Speaker 5: made Jerry Garcia and Bob Weir of the grateful, dead, proud.
- 4:30Speaker 5: They look like cigars. So I go out there and
- 4:34Speaker 5: I say, all right, guys, get off the stoop. And
- 4:37Speaker 5: one of the guys looks me and starts bad mounting me.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Mistake.
- 4:43Speaker 5: After a couple of choice words and gestures, and little
- 4:47Speaker 5: did he know across the street and on the right
- 4:51Speaker 5: side of me, about twenty feet away with all my friends.
- 4:55Speaker 5: I you know. So after a couple of choice words,
- 5:00Speaker 5: these kids left. But now they were on their lunch break.
- 5:04Speaker 5: They're gonna go back to school, all stoned out and everything.
- 5:08Speaker 5: And now the marijuana that these kids are buying from
- 5:12Speaker 5: these pot shops, it's much more potland like soup from
- 5:17Speaker 5: South Carolina said, And they're probably like getting their older
- 5:21Speaker 5: brother or a cousin or somebody who's about to go
- 5:25Speaker 5: in the weed shop and they give them money and
- 5:28Speaker 5: they say, get some for us too. We never figured
- 5:31Speaker 5: this outh, these bozos. These are kids fourteen and fifteen
- 5:36Speaker 5: years old yesterday out of their birds and giving me
- 5:40Speaker 5: lip And what's the next thing, I gotta go to jail?
- 5:43Speaker 2: Yeah, you're right, you know, the nineteen eighties marijuana was
- 5:46Speaker 2: totally different from today's weed.
- 5:48Speaker 5: It's just like twenty three percent THC.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Some of this weed much much more powerful, Vincent, great call,
- 5:54Speaker 2: thanks for calling. Hey when we come back, the brilliant
- 5:57Speaker 2: columnist Liz Peak will be with us next on seven
