- 0:01Major silver news, including startling info from the world's
- 0:05largest silver producer. But what's mainstream media
- 0:10saying about and mainstream banks saying about silver?
- 0:16What about two of the most respected veterans in the world
- 0:20of financial analyst? What are they saying about
- 0:22silver? What's the US government saying
- 0:26about silver? Trust me, this is all good,
- 0:28guys. And of course, the whopper of it
- 0:31all, we're going to talk about the Fed and what it means for
- 0:34silver and why you don't need to worry about one thing.
- 0:38But first, let's go out and hear what the world's biggest silver
- 0:42miner is saying and why this could bode very well for the
- 0:46overall silver market. Our friends at Silver Trade put
- 0:49out the breaking news. Silver production plunges 9% at
- 0:56the world's largest silver producer, Fresnillo.
- 1:00See, maybe you learned something today down here in the basement.
- 1:03My fellow basement dwellers Fresnillo, the world's largest
- 1:06silver miner released quarter one results January, February,
- 1:10March and silver production plunged not year over year, but
- 1:168.5% quarter over quarter. So that means what they produced
- 1:21in Q1 of this year was almost 10% lower of what they produced
- 1:26last year during what would that be October, November, December,
- 1:30the world's largest primary silver producer released Q1
- 1:33results and the numbers don't look good for the global silver
- 1:37supply. Why is that a big deal, right?
- 1:41We're going to get to that. Here's Fresnio, by the way.
- 1:43I'll tell you about the company in a second.
- 1:47This is their website, Fresneo. It's very fascinating company.
- 1:52But before we do that, why is this such a big deal?
- 1:57OK, because they are the world's biggest silver producer out of
- 2:01Mexico. And think about it, we are in a
- 2:04new era for silver. We are in the era where physical
- 2:08demand is actually dictating the price.
- 2:11Keith Neumeyer, CEO of First Majestic Silver, said it like 4
- 2:16four months ago, three months ago, like this is a new price
- 2:19paradigm. Like the big rally that we had
- 2:22in silver over 2025. It wasn't based on the Comex
- 2:27Fantasy Island Silver or the LBMA.
- 2:30It was based on physical demand. So take a step back.
- 2:34The reason why this news out of Fresnio is so big, they're the
- 2:38world's biggest silver producer, right?
- 2:41That would be supply in the supply demand equation and their
- 2:45supply went down precipitously and we know right Phillips
- 2:52Baker, the ex CEO of Hecla mining, the United States
- 2:56largest silver mining company, he was on Kitco not too long ago
- 3:00saying that it would be 2030 at the earliest when silver mines
- 3:05and or the world silver mining industry would be able to
- 3:09increase production. It's a supply.
- 3:12It's very simple, right. If we're just going to focus on
- 3:15on, on silver, it's a very simple equation at this point.
- 3:19It's supply versus demand. Now Fresnio just so you know,
- 3:23fascinating company. They're they they have like a
- 3:27500 year history. They were actually spun out as
- 3:31Fresnio. I don't know in 2008, I think it
- 3:34is, but this is like the Fresnio district of Mexico.
- 3:38So much of the world's silver comes out of Mexico and this is,
- 3:43this is the world's biggest silver producer saying that
- 3:47quarter on quarter, right, the amount of silver they produce
- 3:50went down and went down by almost 10%.
- 3:53Let's talk about the big banks. Let's talk about the mainstream
- 3:58media, right? Cuz when mainstream media starts
- 4:01to pay even a little attention to silver, it's a big thing
- 4:06because basically as you and I know, the mainstream media has
- 4:10paid like 0 attention to the overall silver market.
- 4:14We're going to talk about that before we do, let's say thank
- 4:16you to 1st Mint for sponsoring Ron's basement.
- 4:20You guys have been so happy with them.
- 4:22They are the silver specialist mint located in Las Vegas, NV.
- 4:27They're owned by First Majestic. They mine the silver in Mexico,
- 4:31send it to Las Vegas, it gets turned into these incredible
- 4:35silver bullion products that then go straight to you from the
- 4:39mine to the meant to you. It's got to be the freshest
- 4:42silver on the market. There's no doubt about it.
- 4:45But it's also some of the coolest products out there.
- 4:48You guys have loved them. I want to show you one here.
- 4:51I'll show you real quick. This is their new Liberty Bar.
- 4:55Man, I love silver and I love holding it in my hands.
- 4:59Check that out guys. That is their Liberty bar.
- 5:02It's a one ounce bar, but they've got a whole host of
- 5:06products. Let's go out to their website
- 5:09and quickly check them out. Free shipping on orders over
- 5:13$299. There's their their poured bars,
- 5:19OK, and now they do custom engraving as well.
- 5:22You got to check that out. I've actually got a bar.
- 5:25There's the Liberty bar. We just checked that.
- 5:27I mean, they are the absolute silver specialist.
- 5:31You can learn more about them at first mint.com.
- 5:33Now back to the important, important point of mainstream
- 5:39media, big banks, right, talking about silver.
- 5:42Let's dive into this because it's getting very interesting.
- 5:45This was from thestreet.com. Hold on one second here.
- 5:52Here we go. OK, thestreet.com, Mainstream
- 5:58financial media puts out an article yesterday.
- 6:02Bank of America has a stark message for silver investors.
- 6:07That would be US basement dwellers.
- 6:09A major bank silver forecast is turning heads of all across Wall
- 6:15Street and that was put out yesterday.
- 6:20And what they're talking about. Hold on one second.
- 6:27Sorry guys, dealing with some horrible allergies is key point.
- 6:31Bank of America's Metals chief just issued a silver price
- 6:35target so wide that it raised eyebrows even amongst the bulls
- 6:41in the physical silver market is now recorded deficits for five
- 6:44straight years. 2026 is expected to make it 6.
- 6:49There's specific scenario they could send silver to levels not
- 6:53seen since famous market squeezes decades ago.
- 6:58What they're basically saying, OK, and this is Bank of America,
- 7:03hold on here, here we go. The Banks Metals team is
- 7:07projecting silver could reach anywhere between 135 and 309
- 7:13dollars per oz before the end of 2026.
- 7:17This is not a typo. This is thestreet.com saying
- 7:21this and the reasoning behind it deserves more attention than
- 7:25most investors are getting it right now.
- 7:30Guys, this again is Bank of America, right?
- 7:34The most mainstream of mainstream financial banks in
- 7:40our country, one of the biggest banks in our country, Bank of
- 7:43America. Talking about the potential for
- 7:46silver to reach 309 dollars. The reasoning behind it is they
- 7:50project higher gold prices and they project that the gold to
- 7:54silver ratio, which is the number of Oz of silver it takes
- 7:57to buy one ounce of gold, could compress to as low as 30 or even
- 8:02possibly lower. OK.
- 8:06But again, this is Bank of America mainstream financial
- 8:11bank and thestreet.com mainstream financial media
- 8:17talking about a silver price that people say we're crazy when
- 8:22we talk about $309 silver, $200 silver, $500 silver, and don't
- 8:28forget. OK, let's now let's move on to
- 8:30two of the veteran analysts. I watched him again last night,
- 8:34His most recent interview. Michael Oliver is again
- 8:39reiterating that he believes we can get 300 to $500 silver.
- 8:44Like by the summer, I mean summers right around the corner.
- 8:47It's time for me to start wearing short sleeve shirts,
- 8:49right? The basement dwellers.
- 8:51But this but. And Michael Oliver also though
- 8:54brought up a great key point. OK, all the big, all the big
- 8:58factors. Again, supply and demand are the
- 9:01primary factor. But the other factor behind
- 9:05higher silver and gold prices is the incredibly screwed up fiscal
- 9:09situation in the United States. And guys, this is such a
- 9:13powerful, powerful concept that we need to remember and that is
- 9:18that the situation we are in now from a fiscal, from a debt
- 9:22perspective, right? That means the debt that the
- 9:24country has the, the overall monetary situation is, is way
- 9:30worse now than it ever was in any time in recent history.
- 9:35Everybody wants to compare to the 1970s.
- 9:37Hey, we were like the beacon of financial stability and
- 9:41responsibility in the United States in the 1970s.
- 9:44That's why Paul Volcker could raise his interest rates to 20%.
- 9:47So we got Michael Oliver, but then we get this OK, because our
- 9:52friend David Hunter is out again with another recent prediction
- 9:57for the silver price. And here we go.
- 10:01Let's get this pulled up. The international stacker.
- 10:04I love that guy. He's got a great YouTube channel
- 10:07as well. Check him out.
- 10:09Points out silver to 1 only $180 An analyst drops an explosive
- 10:16new forecast. Well known macro strategist,
- 10:18contrarian David Hunter, who I've actually had as a guest on
- 10:22my show great guy super smart guy is going extremely bullish
- 10:27on silver calling for a massive breakout and potentially $180 in
- 10:32this cycle Why? OK why do we pay attention?
- 10:36Let's go back to Michael Oliver, because Michael Oliver has an
- 10:40unbelievable accurate track record of predicting the medals
- 10:44prices. He is not a permeable.
- 10:47He's not somebody who's always saying gold and silver just, you
- 10:50know, go up, up, up, up, up. Often times he's been bearish on
- 10:54gold and silver. The same thing is true about
- 10:57David Hunter. But what's important about David
- 11:00Hunter, who's calling for $180 silver is when we realize his
- 11:05track record. He called, excuse me, the 1987
- 11:10stock market crash in in advance.
- 11:14That was a major, major crash. He turned bullish on gold right
- 11:18around the 2015 to 2016 bottom. He called a major top in gold
- 11:27around 2011, 2012, which is when gold happened to top out.
- 11:32And he's strongly bullish on silver throughout 2025.
- 11:37He correctly caught the massive breakout we had in silver.
- 11:41He is sometimes been early or overly aggressive on timing.
- 11:45Now you want to know 2 reasons why we want to pay attention to
- 11:50what Michael Oliver and David Hunter are saying.
- 11:53They are also seasoned veterans, right?
- 11:56These guys have been around for a long, long, long time and have
- 12:02a track record of success. OK.
- 12:04The other thing to remember with David Hunter, very important to
- 12:08remember, he's actually calling for the silver price to go to
- 12:15$180 and then he's calling for a big pullback and then a run for
- 12:20silver. I don't want to put words in his
- 12:22mouth, but it can go even higher than that.
- 12:26So he's saying in the short term we could get to as high as $180.
- 12:30But again, he's not a permanent bull.
- 12:33He's saying we could have a pullback after that and then run
- 12:36on from there. These are trustworthy, good
- 12:40people, right, who aren't out by constantly putting out crazy
- 12:44predictions for the price of silver, right?
- 12:46And think about it, David Hunter, Michael Oliver, Bank of
- 12:52America talking about the potential, right?
- 12:56What was their range anyway? 120, whatever it was up to
- 13:00309,309 thousand. Hey, you never know with the
- 13:05paper dollar, $309 per oz for the silver price.
- 13:09It's going to be incredibly interesting.
- 13:12We're going to talk about what the US government is saying
- 13:15about silver critical minerals, and we're going to talk about
- 13:19the Fed and why it could be just the monetary policy.
- 13:23I'll explain it all why it could be just like the biggest tail
- 13:27when we could ever expect for the prices of silver and gold.
- 13:32Before we do that, I do want to say thank you to Brixton Metals
- 13:34for sponsoring Ron's Basement. They are a Canadian metals
- 13:38exploration stage company. They've got 4 big projects in
- 13:42Canada and in the United States. You can learn more about them at
- 13:46brixtonmetals.com and our good friends at First Mining Gold
- 13:50Canadian Development Stage Gold Company 2 huge projects Spring
- 13:55Pole in Ontario and Du Parquet in Quebec, both of which have
- 14:00multi million ounce deposits of gold in the ground that they're
- 14:04working through the development phase.
- 14:07Always Please remember, I don't say this every time, but I mean
- 14:10it every time. Guys, I am not a financial
- 14:13advisor. I do own stock in both Brixton
- 14:16Metals and, and, and our friends at first Mining Gold.
- 14:20I own stock in those companies long before they sponsored my
- 14:24channel. But stocks, bonds, mutual funds,
- 14:27cryptocurrency, real estate, marriages, they're all risky.
- 14:30OK, So do your own research and always please, please, please do
- 14:34be responsible. OK, let's talk about about the
- 14:37US government. Remember last year the US
- 14:41government put silver on the critical minerals list.
- 14:46That was a big deal, OK? It is all it.
- 14:49We people were hollering about it for decades that silver is a
- 14:54critical and the government finally did it.
- 14:56Let's listen to what the CEO of Highcroft Mining has to say
- 15:00about this and about where we are getting our silver right
- 15:05now. And here we go.
- 15:07Without further adieu, once I share the screen, let's listen
- 15:12to this for 42 seconds. The US currently imports, you
- 15:16know, 64% of its silver. And again, that's needed for
- 15:20defence, it's needed for AI, it's needed for electronics.
- 15:23Is there is, you know, what's it mean in terms of the national
- 15:26security strategy? Is the Trump administration
- 15:28going to look at Silver with more intent?
- 15:31They are and they have. So last fall and rightfully so.
- 15:36It's been a long time coming. Silver was designated a critical
- 15:38mineral for the United States, and now the government is
- 15:40looking to stockpile critical minerals.
- 15:43And it's vitally important for the defense, but also our
- 15:47economy because silver is unmatched and it's electrical
- 15:50conductivity and we need it for just the basic functioning of
- 15:53our economy as well as National Defense.
- 15:57Oh, yeah. Thank you, Miss Diane Garrett.
- 16:04Breaking news, Silver is critical not only for our
- 16:08economy but also for our National Defense.
- 16:12Does it maybe feel like a National Defense is becoming a
- 16:15little more important here over the last, what, 6 to 8 weeks?
- 16:2064% of our silver in the United States is imported right now.
- 16:26They're talking about, and This is why it gets so important,
- 16:30creating like a strategic reserve of these critical
- 16:34minerals. And President Donald Trump in
- 16:36his cabinet are on top of this, right?
- 16:39We know that Scott Besent of the Treasury Secretaries recently
- 16:43had talks with what Mexico, Mexico, where's the world's
- 16:48biggest silver producer? That would be Mexico.
- 16:51Oh, and by the way, that world's biggest silver producer, like we
- 16:54talked about earlier, had a decrease in output of about 9% a
- 16:59quarter over quarter. OK.
- 17:00But also, Scott percent is in talks with S South Korea, right?
- 17:05Who's also freaking out about these critical minerals.
- 17:08It is happening. We are seeing a scramble for the
- 17:12metals right now. We are living through historic
- 17:16times when it comes to critical minerals, including silver,
- 17:20including some of the other critical minerals, right?
- 17:23But also for gold, right? Because as we know and as we, we
- 17:28won't go down that path, but the world central banks are
- 17:31stockpiling gold like no other time in history.
- 17:35All right, we're going to now let's switch over and, and, and
- 17:38talk about the big picture and why it's so important to the
- 17:43silver price and the gold price. And when I talk about the big
- 17:46picture, I mean the big macro impact, meaning the economy and
- 17:51within the Fed and what's going on.
- 17:53Tavi Costa, the man right dropped this one in this I think
- 17:58sums up exactly what a lot of silver.
- 18:02Hold on a minute here. Where did that go?
- 18:04Oh, shoot. All right, we'll go to Tavi and
- 18:06then we'll come back. I got what I got more.
- 18:08We got more to talk about the government.
- 18:11Sorry, the government's doing more when it comes to silver.
- 18:14But for now, we'll go to Tavi Costa.
- 18:16He's hearing that Kevin Wash that's the, the, the, the
- 18:20nominee, the new the nominee that replace a drone pout the
- 18:24Federal Reserve and to hear wash talk about fed independence and
- 18:29watching hard assets sell off on that right, cuz that was a
- 18:33couple days ago. What made the gold and silver
- 18:35price go down was the fact that he was, you know, saying I'm not
- 18:39going to do Donald Trump's bidding.
- 18:41I think basically is what he said feels a lot like the hype
- 18:45around Doge. Remember when Doge came out and
- 18:48it was this big deal that really, you know, I think there
- 18:53was some good done but didn't quite materialize like they
- 18:56like. They hyped it up.
- 18:57It's great in theory, but ultimately unrealistic.
- 19:01The reality is the government debt has reached a scale that no
- 19:05brilliant policy maker can solve.
- 19:09We are in a situation guys, called fiscal dominance.
- 19:13When the fiscal financial situation of the United States
- 19:17starts to dominate what our leaders and what the Fed can do,
- 19:23Toby says mute the noise. We talk about that all the time,
- 19:27right? There's a lot of short term
- 19:28noise. There's only one job left.
- 19:31They got a lower rates OK to make sure that the federal debt
- 19:36is more affordable. None of us own enough hard
- 19:40assets right now. OK.
- 19:42And the check out this beautiful chart we get from from from Toby
- 19:47secular leader equals real assets, real verse financial
- 19:52asset relative prices. And what you can see down here
- 19:58is that we are at a low OK .2 right now.
- 20:03Back in 1980, we were five times higher again.
- 20:07That would indicate that we could go as much as five times
- 20:09higher in the value of real assets versus the financial
- 20:15assets. OK, let's go back because we got
- 20:24more from the government. I'm sorry I I missed this
- 20:27earlier from silver trade, more potential government.
- 20:31Yesterday we talked about the state, the state legislation for
- 20:36legal tender legislation state by state going on in the United
- 20:39States. This I believe is more of a
- 20:41federal oriented a piece of legislation called the Silver
- 20:47Act. If you heard about this new
- 20:49legislation could take down the bullion banks manipulating
- 20:53silver and we'll go. I just highlighted one part here
- 20:57that tells us that the Trump admitted the Trump
- 21:00administration appointed commodities Future Trading
- 21:03Commission Chairman Michael Seelig has vowed to help pass
- 21:08the Silver Act, which approves precious metal depositories or
- 21:13big vaults is another word for depository, not to be confused
- 21:17with Suppository across the country in order to take away
- 21:22Wall Street's centralized control of the future supply.
- 21:27Essentially what they're talking about in the with this
- 21:30legislation is the fact that all the big major silver vaults that
- 21:35back up all the paper trading that goes on, on the COMEX,
- 21:40they're all in New York City. And they're all I think by law
- 21:43required to be within 150 miles of downtown New York City.
- 21:48And people are like, hey, enough is enough.
- 21:51Let's spread this out across the country, all right?
- 21:54Because there are, there is a security risk there as well.
- 21:57But it also takes away the stranglehold that New York has
- 22:02on the silver price, right? And the actual physical quote UN
- 22:06quote, if you want to call it, because we know a lot of that
- 22:09paper silver isn't really backed up by anything real anyway.
- 22:13So a big major development being supported by big major people
- 22:17for new legislation to change the way that silver is stored in
- 22:23this country. And it all kind of fits in with
- 22:25like the strategic reserve type situation that we're hearing
- 22:29about and other big developments out there going on in the world
- 22:33of silver. OK, now the big doom.
- 22:36Let's talk about the Fed and why the Fed interest rates,
- 22:39inflation is so important, so critical that we understand
- 22:44this, that we have a firm grasp on what is going on because
- 22:46there's a lot of noise out there there right now.
- 22:49You may have been hearing it that, oh, the Fed's going to
- 22:52raise rates, the Fed's going to raise rates.
- 22:54But let's talk about the real story behind that and what
- 22:59really matters. And then look at some
- 23:01fascinating data from the Fed watch tool themselves from the
- 23:05from the CME Group. But we're seeing this everywhere
- 23:09right now. This was a post by calci.
- 23:12Calci is like the big prediction market that supposedly has been
- 23:16so accurate lately and they put out a breaking post that there's
- 23:20a 69% chance of a FED rate hike in 2027.
- 23:26Now the mistaken initial reaction that most people have
- 23:31to that is, oh, if the Fed raises rates, that's bad for
- 23:34silver and gold, right? It's like people are programmed
- 23:38to say FED raise rates, silver, gold go down.
- 23:41No, no, no, no. This is big and critical that
- 23:47you understand and I understand this fact, OK?
- 23:50What really matters is the relationship between inflation
- 23:57and the interest rates. OK, guys, if the inflation rate
- 24:01is higher than the interest rate, it doesn't matter what the
- 24:06interest rate is. It can be whatever it is right
- 24:08now. Three, we're going to look at it
- 24:09here in a second, 3.5%, OK? It can be 10%, it can be 1%.
- 24:16It doesn't matter. What matters is the relationship
- 24:20in the level that the inflation rate is at.
- 24:24If the inflation rate is higher than the interest rate, no
- 24:28matter what level the interest rates at, that is good for
- 24:32silver and gold. Here's an easy example.
- 24:35Let's say you have $100,000 and you put it in a Fidelity
- 24:40Investments money market account that's paying about 3% right
- 24:44now, which is what they're paying.
- 24:45You're going to make $3000 over the course of the year.
- 24:48OK. You might go, oh, great, I'm
- 24:49going to make $3000. If the inflation rate is at 5%,
- 24:55right, you're actually losing $2000.
- 24:59That's called the real interest rate.
- 25:01You deduct the inflation rate from whatever the interest rate
- 25:06is, and that tells you that's the real return that you're
- 25:09getting. In the example that we just
- 25:11talked about, you're losing $2000.
- 25:14You have a negative 2% real interest rate.
- 25:18So at the end of the day, all this noise, again, like Tobby
- 25:22said earlier, they can affect the price of gold and silver.
- 25:25None of it really matters. Look, the Fed could raise rates
- 25:30to 5% by the end of the year, OK?
- 25:33But if inflation's at 8%, OK, that's a good environment for
- 25:38silver and gold. And go back to that example that
- 25:40I gave you earlier. If you've got that 100,000 and
- 25:44you've got it at Fidelity Investment, making 3% does, I
- 25:47mean, it makes sense, right? And then you realize that, oh,
- 25:50I'm losing 5% to inflation. You might look for something
- 25:54that's going to keep up with inflation.
- 25:56Do you have any idea what asset that's been around for thousands
- 26:00of years has kept up with inflation?
- 26:04Huh. Yeah, right.
- 26:05You know the answer. The answer is silver and gold,
- 26:08OK? So it doesn't really matter at
- 26:11the end of the day. What matters is real interest
- 26:15rates and, and, and by the way, monetization of the debt, right?
- 26:20The fact that like we talked about earlier, that the Fed is
- 26:23going to be in a position like Toby Costa basically said that I
- 26:28can sit here and tell you with 100% confidence, mathematically
- 26:32they're talking about oh, we can grow and AI and blah, blah, blah
- 26:35BS. OK.
- 26:37Mathematically, it's extremely likely higher than speculation,
- 26:43extremely likely that the Fed will have to monetize debt.
- 26:46What does that mean? That means that the Federal
- 26:49Reserve creates more dollars out of thin air to buy the debt of
- 26:54the treasure. And they've already started
- 26:56doing it. I heard Michael Oliver talking
- 26:58about it last night. I think, I don't know, back in
- 27:00December sometime they said, oh, the feds going to start buying
- 27:03debt and they said they didn't, they didn't want to call it QE.
- 27:06They said to help add liquidity to the bond market, that's
- 27:10called monetization of debt. That's called printing money.
- 27:13And the more dollars that you print, right, we've looked at
- 27:16the M2 money supply, the less valuable those dollars become.
- 27:22And that creates higher and higher inflation and higher and
- 27:26higher prices for gold and silver.
- 27:29All right, guys. Hey, don't forget, please 48
- 27:33more for Caldo today. All right, hey, upstairs, Susie,
