- 0:00Speaker 1: Tampa Bay's Best Music.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Is Welcome to another episode of Scotty and Abby Unfiltered,
- 0:07Speaker 2: a bonus edition, because there's just things that need to
- 0:10Speaker 2: be talked about before this weekend happens.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Yeah, I haven't decided, because we posted one today on Friday,
- 0:13Speaker 1: I'm like, do I post this Monday because we won't
- 0:15Speaker 1: have an episode on Monday.
- 0:17Speaker 2: Well, I think we just get it up because there's
- 0:19Speaker 2: things that are going to happen this weekend that I
- 0:21Speaker 2: want people to know about as they're happening.
- 0:22Speaker 1: But we're not posting the weekend episode until Tuesday. Oh
- 0:25Speaker 1: my gosh, we're so ahead, So this will I guess
- 0:28Speaker 1: maybe this will tie them over on Monday.
- 0:30Speaker 2: You know what, then whenever you need to post that
- 0:32Speaker 2: you posted. Okay, money, I'm just too curious, to be honest,
- 0:35Speaker 2: I can't wait an entire weekend to not have these answers.
- 0:38Speaker 2: Based off of what was kind of mentioned in the studio,
- 0:40Speaker 2: if you've listened to the past couple episodes, the dating
- 0:43Speaker 2: apps are back in the scene for Abby.
- 0:44Speaker 1: Yeah, I think I've gotten on like man hating TikTok so,
- 0:48Speaker 1: I think I have like a lot of unresolved anger
- 0:50Speaker 1: that I need to hash out with with a punching bag.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Let's just let me hear it out though, because I'm
- 0:55Speaker 2: not you know, I am going to lean into this
- 0:56Speaker 2: a little bit because I do see other women going
- 0:58Speaker 2: through this, the man hating, like just frustration. What is
- 1:03Speaker 2: the core of it, though, Like what are the guys
- 1:06Speaker 2: doing that you're just like or you're seeing on TikTok
- 1:08Speaker 2: where you're like, so many women agree that these things
- 1:10Speaker 2: are so frustrating.
- 1:11Speaker 1: Yeah, well, the main frustration is and I think I
- 1:14Speaker 1: can speak to it because I'm not saying I'm like
- 1:16Speaker 1: some like upper echelon human being, but I'm friends and
- 1:19Speaker 1: i'd like to think I'm in the above average category
- 1:23Speaker 1: of lady where you know, I make my own money,
- 1:26Speaker 1: and I have interests, and I have a career, and
- 1:29Speaker 1: I have friends, and I work out and I do
- 1:33Speaker 1: all the right things. And it's hard to find someone
- 1:35Speaker 1: that you feel like is an equal. And then sometimes
- 1:38Speaker 1: you do find someone that you're like, you're an equal,
- 1:40Speaker 1: but it's not a match, or they're a douchebag or
- 1:43Speaker 1: because there's not as many guys who are I hate
- 1:46Speaker 1: to use the term league, but let's just use it
- 1:48Speaker 1: because everyone knows you use it just everyone does, all
- 1:50Speaker 1: the guys that are in your league. Because there's not
- 1:52Speaker 1: that many of them, they start to feel like entitled
- 1:58Speaker 1: because so many women are like, oh my god, here's
- 2:00Speaker 1: someone who's on my level. Thank god, finally, and these
- 2:04Speaker 1: dudes get these massive egos and start just mistreating women
- 2:07Speaker 1: like crazy because they have so many options because there's
- 2:10Speaker 1: a hundred of us and there's maybe fifteen of them.
- 2:13Speaker 2: That's wild to me in general, just that statement alone,
- 2:16Speaker 2: like I don't care what league you think you're in
- 2:18Speaker 2: or what status you think you belong to. Yeah, you
- 2:20Speaker 2: don't treat someone like they are less than or that
- 2:22Speaker 2: you are too good for them. That's crazy to me.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a lot of bread crumbing and sleeping around
- 2:28Speaker 1: and yeah, it's just frustrating. It's it's frustrating to be like,
- 2:32Speaker 1: I'm not really asking for anything crazy, Like am I
- 2:33Speaker 1: asking for Michael B. Jordan's sliding into my Team's Like,
- 2:37Speaker 1: but I mean, buddy, am I it's I need to
- 2:40Speaker 1: go on Love Island and maybe you'll start liking my photos.
- 2:42Speaker 1: It's I think where a lot of the anger comes from.
- 2:45Speaker 1: It's like it's not even like I have a dating life.
- 2:47Speaker 1: It's dating. I literally am like, this is a job.
- 2:50Speaker 1: It's not fun, it's not enjoyable. It doesn't make my
- 2:52Speaker 1: life more interesting, and it sucks that it's so hard
- 2:56Speaker 1: to just find like a basic part of human life,
- 2:58Speaker 1: which is just companionship with somebody of the opposite sex,
- 3:01Speaker 1: if that's what you're in too, romantically. And I think
- 3:03Speaker 1: a lot of my friend's anger is like it's we're
- 3:06Speaker 1: like jealous that men can experience that so easily because
- 3:09Speaker 1: you guys have so many options.
- 3:10Speaker 2: That's very valid because a lot of women are just
- 3:13Speaker 2: great people, and they also what women have done a
- 3:16Speaker 2: lot faster than men is just being straight up.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:19Speaker 2: I think that's a huge difference that I've seen even
- 3:22Speaker 2: from friends, and I hear the stories where men are
- 3:24Speaker 2: just so bad about being honest about where they're at,
- 3:27Speaker 2: what they need, what they're looking for. They want to
- 3:30Speaker 2: keep all options open, which actually ends up closing every
- 3:33Speaker 2: single possibility because you don't want to hurt somebody, or
- 3:36Speaker 2: you don't want to reveal that you know what you
- 3:38Speaker 2: quote unquote just want to fuck around, Like if that's
- 3:41Speaker 2: what you are looking for, didn't just say it?
- 3:43Speaker 3: Ye?
- 3:43Speaker 2: Or if you know this is not a match. If
- 3:45Speaker 2: you know I'm not in say it instead of the
- 3:48Speaker 2: annoying part of the bread crumbing or the complete ghost
- 3:53Speaker 2: or the come up with an idea then coming up
- 3:56Speaker 2: with an excuse like that that's exhausting for people. And
- 4:00Speaker 2: if you're doing that to somebody, then think about how
- 4:02Speaker 2: many times that had happened to them. You're not the
- 4:04Speaker 2: only one. You're just adding on to that layer, which
- 4:06Speaker 2: then leads to the frustration.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Yeah, and I know that men have qualms with women too,
- 4:10Speaker 1: So I'm not trying to get on my high horse
- 4:11Speaker 1: and be like it's only hard for women. I think
- 4:14Speaker 1: women are just really vocal about it, and I think
- 4:16Speaker 1: it's frustrating that we're not seeing any change or any
- 4:19Speaker 1: light at the end of the tunnel.
- 4:20Speaker 2: Like I kind of think of, like what would the
- 4:21Speaker 2: frustrations with women be, and that part that's I don't
- 4:26Speaker 2: know what else.
- 4:26Speaker 1: I'll give you an example because you said this either
- 4:28Speaker 1: yesterday or the day before, where you said on a
- 4:30Speaker 1: dating app, it's hard for men to get matches with women. Yes,
- 4:34Speaker 1: So while I have empathy for the fact that that's hard,
- 4:37Speaker 1: it makes me wonder why you're not looking internally to
- 4:40Speaker 1: try and figure out why that is.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Oh, do you know what I mean?
- 4:43Speaker 1: Because you're there are men that are getting a lot
- 4:45Speaker 1: of attention on dating apps, but why are they getting attention?
- 4:48Speaker 2: I guess my head goes to it's just when the
- 4:50Speaker 2: dating apps pop up, it goes for a lot of guys.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Frustration is it's just so surface level that it's hard
- 4:58Speaker 2: to cut through and what and this if you go
- 5:00Speaker 2: to a wrong side of TikTok. I had a buddy
- 5:02Speaker 2: that would get on the wrong side of TikTok. He's
- 5:04Speaker 2: like all women are looking for as a guy over
- 5:06Speaker 2: six foot who has a lot of hair, a lot
- 5:08Speaker 2: of money, all the muscles, and I'm like, you're in
- 5:10Speaker 2: a weird side of TikTok. Bro, I don't think that's
- 5:12Speaker 2: what every woman is looking for.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean I've seen some of my friend's boyfriends.
- 5:15Speaker 1: I'm like, you'll be fine.
- 5:17Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying. I think it's easier though, especially
- 5:20Speaker 2: if you're somebody that's getting a lot of matches. You're like,
- 5:23Speaker 2: I'm not gonna look at you know, Tyler on Bumble
- 5:26Speaker 2: because yeah, I mean he looks like a nice guy.
- 5:29Speaker 2: He's five to eight and he has good hair, he
- 5:32Speaker 2: is a decent job, he's kind of funny. But then
- 5:34Speaker 2: when I go over a little bit more, I see Chad,
- 5:37Speaker 2: Chad six to two, he doesn't have an ounce of
- 5:39Speaker 2: body fat on him, he has the greatest job over
- 5:41Speaker 2: in Tampa, and he's in a boat. You're gonna go
- 5:44Speaker 2: for Chad. Yeah, that's the problem with it, where it's like,
- 5:48Speaker 2: if you met Tyler out in person, he's probably funny.
- 5:51Speaker 2: He probably is that wholesome guy that also maybe even
- 5:53Speaker 2: has that dark sinister side, whereas Chad, you'd rather talk
- 5:56Speaker 2: to a plant versus Chad. That's what I've noticed for
- 5:59Speaker 2: people on dating apps. Now I say that very biasedly
- 6:02Speaker 2: because I haven't had much time on them.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Yeah, but I will also challenge that logic is why
- 6:06Speaker 1: is what do you give you the name to the
- 6:08Speaker 1: five eight king?
- 6:09Speaker 2: Tyler?
- 6:09Speaker 1: The five eight king? If Tyler is pulling all the
- 6:13Speaker 1: same stops as Chad and it's just the one thing
- 6:15Speaker 1: that's the height, then that's on you as the girl
- 6:18Speaker 1: for knocking him for being five eight. But the reality
- 6:21Speaker 1: is is it's not like it's apples and apples and
- 6:24Speaker 1: it's just the height thing. It's like, I feel like physically,
- 6:29Speaker 1: me and Chad look like we would be a good match,
- 6:32Speaker 1: but we're not emotionally, and that's totally fine. So I'm
- 6:34Speaker 1: just looking for Tyler to step up a little bit.
- 6:37Speaker 2: But how would you get through that first layer? Like,
- 6:39Speaker 2: I guess that is going to if there's any I know,
- 6:41Speaker 2: we have a lot of women, let's listen. Shout out
- 6:42Speaker 2: to y'all. I don't know what dudes are listening, but
- 6:44Speaker 2: this could be very helpful to say, like, how do
- 6:46Speaker 2: you cut through that noise of the chads?
- 6:48Speaker 1: Well, you've got to play the game. And this is
- 6:50Speaker 1: where I get politically incorrect, because I feel like I
- 6:53Speaker 1: have tried to play the game. The game is. I
- 6:56Speaker 1: know that men want a girl who is physically fit,
- 7:00Speaker 1: who takes care of herself, who you know's there's certain
- 7:04Speaker 1: things that you have to get through the shallowness, and
- 7:06Speaker 1: I'm sure, like you know, if I was stranded on
- 7:08Speaker 1: a deserted island with Tyler, we would fall in love.
- 7:11Speaker 1: We look past all the bullshit that comes with life.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Because you're like, that's my literal only option.
- 7:14Speaker 1: But the reality is that you have to play the
- 7:16Speaker 1: game to be able to get in the game. And
- 7:18Speaker 1: I feel like all the women are in the game.
- 7:20Speaker 1: We're doing all the things that we've gone to therapy,
- 7:23Speaker 1: picked out the outfits, we've we've gone a little botox,
- 7:25Speaker 1: We've done the botox. I mean I literally, I mean
- 7:28Speaker 1: I got the nose job for me, But I mean
- 7:30Speaker 1: like literally I went, I got a surgery that altered
- 7:33Speaker 1: my face for me, I like the way that I
- 7:36Speaker 1: look now for me better. I'm glad I got my
- 7:38Speaker 1: nose job, But I mean, like the lengths that women
- 7:40Speaker 1: go to when they look and word when they want
- 7:43Speaker 1: to make a change in their life. If I wanted
- 7:45Speaker 1: to be more attractive, I wanted to look in the
- 7:47Speaker 1: mirror and go I like the way that I look,
- 7:49Speaker 1: So I wanting to take that into my own hands,
- 7:52Speaker 1: went under the knife.
- 7:53Speaker 2: That makes a lot of sense.
- 7:54Speaker 1: That is an objectively crazy thing to do.
- 7:56Speaker 2: Yes, but it does show the word that I said
- 7:59Speaker 2: before on this podcas and that's effort. Where guys lack
- 8:02Speaker 2: effort when it comes to like we'll put in a
- 8:04Speaker 2: mens and this is very common. Again, like I love
- 8:06Speaker 2: studying this stuff, but like men, we do things that
- 8:09Speaker 2: we know that we're good at. So let's say somebody
- 8:10Speaker 2: is really good at work, you'll see them put a
- 8:12Speaker 2: shit ton of effort into their job. That's why they
- 8:15Speaker 2: advance in their company.
- 8:16Speaker 1: And that's it, and that will get you a certain
- 8:19Speaker 1: type of woman.
- 8:19Speaker 2: Correct.
- 8:20Speaker 1: But you have to ask yourself, is that really what
- 8:22Speaker 1: you want?
- 8:23Speaker 2: Correct? Because if you set that same effort and applied
- 8:25Speaker 2: it into your dating life or your relationship, if you're
- 8:29Speaker 2: already dating, that's what I'm trying to do. It's like,
- 8:31Speaker 2: make sure you always stay on that level that you're
- 8:33Speaker 2: putting into everything else, even if it's complicated, even if
- 8:35Speaker 2: it's like something you're not really I guess knowledgeable about,
- 8:40Speaker 2: like doing the effort to learn, Like that's what I'm
- 8:42Speaker 2: trying to do. It's like I'm like reading books. I'm like,
- 8:44Speaker 2: how do I understand women? I'm like, I want to
- 8:46Speaker 2: make sure I'm good, but I do I can understand
- 8:48Speaker 2: that being a frustration for women where it's like you're
- 8:50Speaker 2: going and getting your hair done, you're getting a new outfit,
- 8:52Speaker 2: you're taking care of yourself, your mind, body, spirit, You've got.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Friends, you've got family, you're trying to be a good daughter,
- 8:57Speaker 1: you're trying to be a good friend, all these things,
- 8:58Speaker 1: and it just feels like.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Then you meet chat or Tyler, and.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Maybe Tyler is a great dude, and he's such a
- 9:03Speaker 1: good friend, and he's such a good son and all
- 9:05Speaker 1: these things, but like also just in the same way
- 9:07Speaker 1: that you want to look at me and go, she's
- 9:09Speaker 1: so hot, and I want to look this. I want
- 9:11Speaker 1: to feel the same way when I look at you,
- 9:13Speaker 1: So lift a weight, brush a hair, get a haircut.
- 9:18Speaker 1: So that's my frustration is just yeah.
- 9:21Speaker 2: You know what, I think that's very valid, And obviously
- 9:23Speaker 2: we talk about that because you're not the only one
- 9:25Speaker 2: that's dealing with that.
- 9:26Speaker 1: I'm not. I literally saw do you know who Tinks
- 9:28Speaker 1: is on series XM. She's somebody I would consider like
- 9:32Speaker 1: a god. I hate this type of terminology, but like
- 9:34Speaker 1: a we'll call her a desirable woman. She is a
- 9:39Speaker 1: radio host on series XM. Very attractive, seems like a
- 9:42Speaker 1: level headed human being, and she literally got on her
- 9:45Speaker 1: show and was like, you guys, I'm giving up dating,
- 9:47Speaker 1: Like I'm I'm so sick of going out with with
- 9:51Speaker 1: these men.
- 9:52Speaker 2: To put it bluntly, yeah, I think a lot of
- 9:54Speaker 2: well let me see on the guy's side, especially like
- 9:57Speaker 2: a power Like I don't know her as a personality
- 9:59Speaker 2: or a person, but I do, and I was just
- 10:01Speaker 2: weirdly enough, yesterday I was doing like a Peloton workout
- 10:03Speaker 2: and the instructor, successful, beautiful, fit, all the things. But
- 10:07Speaker 2: again same kind of deal dealing with the dating struggles.
- 10:10Speaker 2: And she told the story as we're lifting, She's like, yeah,
- 10:12Speaker 2: I was ghosted by this guy and I ran into
- 10:14Speaker 2: him yesterday, and so it's like, even people, you're doing
- 10:16Speaker 2: all the things and you're getting ghosted.
- 10:17Speaker 1: That's what I mean.
- 10:18Speaker 2: The lowest thing.
- 10:19Speaker 1: But you see a guy who has her exact same
- 10:21Speaker 1: credentials Peloton, instructor, hot, attractive, interesting, Maybe he's five foot
- 10:26Speaker 1: eleven at the very least, he's engaged, he has four kids.
- 10:30Speaker 1: Do you know what I mean?
- 10:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I think the crappy side of it. And this
- 10:34Speaker 2: is where it's not fair. But guys do get intimidated
- 10:37Speaker 2: by that. It's a weird thing. I'm not saying all.
- 10:39Speaker 1: That's what I mean. Stop being such pay stop being
- 10:41Speaker 1: please stop.
- 10:42Speaker 2: Being ask got a girl, And that's in the episode.
- 10:46Speaker 1: No, No, that's not where it ends, and period. This
- 10:49Speaker 1: is where I Okay, so we're gonna give you no
- 10:53Speaker 1: update on the people that I'm dating, well talking to
- 10:55Speaker 1: on dating apps. So this is where I'm I'm this
- 10:58Speaker 1: is the transition here. So the one argument I hear
- 11:03Speaker 1: from men over and over and over again is I'm
- 11:05Speaker 1: so scared of getting rejected by a girl in public
- 11:08Speaker 1: and you know she's gonna laugh at me in front
- 11:09Speaker 1: of friends. Blah blah blah blah blah. Personally, never seen
- 11:11Speaker 1: that happen, but whatever, live that dream.
- 11:13Speaker 2: King.
- 11:14Speaker 1: My problem is is when I'm on a dating app
- 11:16Speaker 1: and I have either liked you or I'm engaging in
- 11:18Speaker 1: active conversation with you, and you can't ask me out,
- 11:23Speaker 1: I'm done. So that's one of the reasons why I
- 11:25Speaker 1: think of about to ghost be.
- 11:27Speaker 2: Ah, okay, this is okay, because if men used to
- 11:32Speaker 2: go to war, I recognize men still go to war. True,
- 11:35Speaker 2: most men used to go to.
- 11:36Speaker 1: War and kill deer and bears and all that.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Stuff, tackle and elk with our bear hand rap.
- 11:41Speaker 1: If the thought of me saying no to a date
- 11:43Speaker 1: with you is what's gonna send you into a tailspind I.
- 11:48Speaker 2: You gotta do that deep work. And I say that
- 11:50Speaker 2: to so many friends where they're like, man, I'm not
- 11:52Speaker 2: saying I have all my ducks in a row, but
- 11:54Speaker 2: I will say The one thing I'm proud of myself
- 11:55Speaker 2: for doing is the work going and learning and being
- 11:59Speaker 2: okay with those things you have to understand, like where
- 12:01Speaker 2: does that fear actually stem from? Understand the fear to
- 12:03Speaker 2: break through the fear. And I know that might not
- 12:05Speaker 2: even be applicable to this podcast because I don't know
- 12:08Speaker 2: if those men are listening to it. I know they
- 12:10Speaker 2: take the time to do the work to understand that
- 12:11Speaker 2: fear because once you break past it, the rest of
- 12:14Speaker 2: life becomes so free. And it's not that fear disappears,
- 12:16Speaker 2: it's that you're able to look at fear and say,
- 12:18Speaker 2: I see you, and I'm going to move forward.
- 12:19Speaker 1: Anyway, here's our motivational speaker. So let me give you
- 12:21Speaker 1: an update on b Where did we leave off yesterday.
- 12:24Speaker 2: Well, you replied back to his message about wakeboarding.
- 12:27Speaker 1: Okay, so he so long story short, just to give
- 12:30Speaker 1: you a recap, but feel free to binge the rest
- 12:32Speaker 1: of the podcast. It's from the last couple of days.
- 12:34Speaker 1: I matched this guy we're calling him be. He said
- 12:37Speaker 1: something that I was talking about how it gave me
- 12:39Speaker 1: the eck because I said, hey, I'm good, how are you?
- 12:41Speaker 1: And then he said, blessed and highly favored, and I
- 12:44Speaker 1: was like, if you're saying that, like legitimately, we don't
- 12:47Speaker 1: have the same sense of humor. But then I started
- 12:49Speaker 1: reading his profile, I'm like, oh, maybe he's like maybe
- 12:51Speaker 1: he did mean it ironically. And if he did mean
- 12:53Speaker 1: it ironically, I think that's funny. So I decided I'll engage.
- 12:58Speaker 1: So he asked me where I'm from.
- 12:59Speaker 2: In Jack's.
- 13:00Speaker 1: He said he lived in Jack's and then I said, yeah,
- 13:02Speaker 1: I missed this ship about Jack's and he goes, that's
- 13:05Speaker 1: a staple. Do you have any plans for the rest
- 13:06Speaker 1: of the week and I said, probably just hanging out
- 13:08Speaker 1: with friends, and he said, sound like sounds like keep
- 13:10Speaker 1: your routine, And then I asked him what he was
- 13:13Speaker 1: getting into, and then he asked me because I had
- 13:16Speaker 1: said something about okay, let me back up. Probably just
- 13:20Speaker 1: hanging out with friends. Then he said, sounds like you
- 13:22Speaker 1: have a routine. I don't know why, but when I
- 13:23Speaker 1: read that, it immediately made me think of Dog Saloon,
- 13:25Speaker 1: which is a bar here in Tampa. And I said, ah,
- 13:28Speaker 1: my friends are always trying to get me in there,
- 13:29Speaker 1: but it's not really my vibe. What are you getting into?
- 13:31Speaker 1: And then he asked, what is your vibe? And then
- 13:33Speaker 1: he said he wants to go wakeboarding, So I said
- 13:35Speaker 1: anywhere I can get a solid glass of wine. And
- 13:37Speaker 1: then I said it doesn't look like it's going to
- 13:38Speaker 1: be great weather for wakeboarding, though, and then he said
- 13:40Speaker 1: a little rain never hurt, and I said, so true.
- 13:43Speaker 1: So then he said, speaking of wine, last time I
- 13:46Speaker 1: had or last time I had a good wine night,
- 13:48Speaker 1: it was at Barcelona wine bar. Have you been? And
- 13:50Speaker 1: I said, oh, I love that place, not here, but
- 13:52Speaker 1: they have one in Atlanta. And he said, actually a
- 13:55Speaker 1: friend of mine hosts a wine night once a month
- 13:56Speaker 1: because she's becoming to Somalia. It could be my date
- 13:59Speaker 1: next time. I'm drinking all types of wine and I
- 14:01Speaker 1: said that could be what pause and I said that
- 14:03Speaker 1: could be fun. I said, do you want to meet
- 14:05Speaker 1: first and make sure we don't hate each other? Though again,
- 14:08Speaker 1: I'm trying to like freaking lobby.
- 14:09Speaker 2: It like, hello, this is the easiest.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Oh, let's stop asking stop talking about asking me out,
- 14:14Speaker 1: Let's just ask me out. And then he said, for sure,
- 14:17Speaker 1: I was speaking it into the universe, oh boy. And
- 14:21Speaker 1: then I said, why don't you speak it into hinge
- 14:23Speaker 1: chat existence? First?
- 14:24Speaker 3: Did you say that you are a legend?
- 14:27Speaker 2: Oh my god, Oh my god. I'm like, cause, like,
- 14:30Speaker 2: come on, it's not like it's not You're not guessing anymore.
- 14:33Speaker 2: I have guessed. Like when I was dating I literally there,
- 14:36Speaker 2: I was like, I'm going to just throw the lop
- 14:38Speaker 2: and I would just write the message and I would
- 14:41Speaker 2: send it yes, and I would get rejected. That's all.
- 14:44Speaker 2: Ghosted doesn't say rejecting.
- 14:45Speaker 1: Maybe someone changes their mind.
- 14:46Speaker 2: I hadn't no leadway. I just had a couple of
- 14:48Speaker 2: messages that were like, huh, maybe they're maybe they're interested.
- 14:51Speaker 2: It seems like it, and I would just go for it.
- 14:54Speaker 2: This is the easiest thing to understand that.
- 14:56Speaker 1: Hello, I'm literally making it so easy for this mofa.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Oh and there's more I'll tell you once I finish
- 15:02Speaker 1: this chat. But that's literally the only reason I'm going
- 15:04Speaker 1: out with Jay is I'm not repulsed by him, and
- 15:06Speaker 1: he asked me out immediately. You want to know why,
- 15:10Speaker 1: because I can't do I've done this so many times.
- 15:12Speaker 1: I have done the whole he la la la la la.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Can we just meet? Can we just meet and see
- 15:18Speaker 1: if we hate each other or not?
- 15:19Speaker 2: Yeah, let's get the first initial thing out of the way,
- 15:21Speaker 2: so we don't waste our time going back and forth
- 15:22Speaker 2: and back and forth.
- 15:23Speaker 1: That's what I mean. So I said, why don't you
- 15:25Speaker 1: speak it into hinge chat existence first, because I'm like,
- 15:27Speaker 1: literally just asked me out. So then I sent that
- 15:29Speaker 1: at like six yesterday. I didn't hear from him until
- 15:32Speaker 1: eight this morning.
- 15:34Speaker 2: Holy crap, Okay, I'm Lily.
- 15:38Speaker 1: Gonna cull myself. It is actually speaking this out loud
- 15:42Speaker 1: actually makes me even angrier, and I think I'm literally
- 15:46Speaker 1: gonna match him. That's how angry I am. He goes
- 15:50Speaker 1: eight am this morning after leaving me on Red for
- 15:53Speaker 1: about twelve hours. I actually was just manifesting in my
- 15:56Speaker 1: dreams last night.
- 15:58Speaker 2: Holy shit, I'm you're doing it right now.
- 16:06Speaker 1: I was gonna do it, but then I forgot. I
- 16:07Speaker 1: have to tell you about his profile. So obviously I'm
- 16:10Speaker 1: getting kind of excited because I'm thinking he said the
- 16:12Speaker 1: whole blessed and highly favored thing. Ironically. I'm like, we're
- 16:15Speaker 1: gonna have the same sense of humor and it'll be fun.
- 16:17Speaker 1: I think he's attractive, Like his profile picture kind of weird.
- 16:19Speaker 1: It's literally just like a random selfie he took on
- 16:21Speaker 1: the side of the road. But he looks good.
- 16:22Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:23Speaker 1: And I did find his Instagram. I'm like, oh, okay,
- 16:25Speaker 1: he's an attractive guy. He changed his profile from the
- 16:29Speaker 1: time that we started talking to.
- 16:32Speaker 2: Now do you think?
- 16:35Speaker 1: Yeah, I know he did, so he changed the first
- 16:37Speaker 1: prompt to it says the one thing you should know
- 16:40Speaker 1: about me is I'm open to a committed relationship with
- 16:43Speaker 1: the right person. I was like, perfect, I feel the
- 16:44Speaker 1: exact same way.
- 16:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:45Speaker 1: And then he keeps scrolling down and he changed the
- 16:48Speaker 1: one photo that I really liked of him. Oh to
- 16:51Speaker 1: again another dumb ass selfie. Looks like he's at a wedding,
- 16:54Speaker 1: but it looks like he literally is just like looking
- 16:56Speaker 1: at his phone, opened the camera app and snapped a picture.
- 16:58Speaker 2: No way, This goes back to the okay, I can
- 17:01Speaker 2: understand the rant now of the effort, the hell okay,
- 17:05Speaker 2: let me.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Just or just you know what actually single signals to me.
- 17:07Speaker 1: It's not even effort. Well, I mean the fact that
- 17:09Speaker 1: he's not asked me how to stupid. It's like the competency.
- 17:12Speaker 1: It makes me look at you and go, you're incompetent.
- 17:15Speaker 2: That's valid.
- 17:16Speaker 1: I'm giving you clear signals to ask me out and
- 17:20Speaker 1: you can't get the words out.
- 17:21Speaker 2: It also shows me like, do you have any women
- 17:23Speaker 2: in your life that can help you with this? And
- 17:25Speaker 2: I say this to many guys too, because the ones
- 17:26Speaker 2: that have successful profiles, they have a woman look at it.
- 17:29Speaker 2: How do your prompts look? How do your pictures look?
- 17:31Speaker 2: What's the order? Like I hearing you talk about your
- 17:33Speaker 2: profile and how everything is, like it's put there purposely.
- 17:37Speaker 1: It tells a story, he does.
- 17:38Speaker 2: If you want to like really show who you are
- 17:41Speaker 2: versus this dude that just puts a selfie up, You're like, okay,
- 17:46Speaker 2: I get it. I see your face.
- 17:47Speaker 1: You had a perfectly normal photo of him at like
- 17:49Speaker 1: a car show or something. I'm like, oh, we likes
- 17:51Speaker 1: car okay.
- 17:53Speaker 2: But it just knows that you don't understand, and you're
- 17:55Speaker 2: not trying to understand. I think that's the part that
- 17:57Speaker 2: would be frustrated. It's like, yes, it's one thing to
- 17:59Speaker 2: say you don't know thing, Yeah, go learn.
- 18:01Speaker 1: Go learn. Literally ask somebody to look at your profile. Hey,
- 18:04Speaker 1: do you think a girl would think this looks.
- 18:05Speaker 2: Like chatchibt At this point, I don't know.
- 18:07Speaker 1: Oh my god, yeah, you have no excuse now literally
- 18:09Speaker 1: asks Chad, she bt so anyway, I'm over b Yeah,
- 18:15Speaker 1: I would say.
- 18:16Speaker 2: At this point, it's like, if he's not gonna.
- 18:18Speaker 1: Ask I, I you know what, I'm gonna give him
- 18:21Speaker 1: twenty four hours to fix that. I'm going to see
- 18:24Speaker 1: what he says.
- 18:24Speaker 2: I'm gonna see what did you say back to that.
- 18:26Speaker 1: I didn't say anything back.
- 18:27Speaker 2: You're just gonna like, come on, you're.
- 18:29Speaker 1: Gonna message me at eight am and say that you
- 18:31Speaker 1: were manifesting in your dreams last night. Literally, this is
- 18:35Speaker 1: now turning me off because I'm like, no, man, I
- 18:37Speaker 1: would date whatever speak like that.
- 18:38Speaker 2: That's exactly what I was thinking. I love a good
- 18:40Speaker 2: like you know, spiritual thought. But there's a balance, y'all,
- 18:45Speaker 2: Like unless you're going and dating that hippie central, like
- 18:48Speaker 2: you got to know one to show him and where
- 18:50Speaker 2: to hold them, Like, ask me out.
- 18:51Speaker 1: I'm literally begging, like, this is why men aren't getting laid.
- 18:55Speaker 1: This is the male loneliness epidemic. They're doing it to themselves.
- 18:58Speaker 2: That's very true.
- 18:59Speaker 1: I'm literally giving I'm doing mental gymnastics trying to make
- 19:02Speaker 1: myself like you.
- 19:03Speaker 2: It's not even like you're at a bar and you
- 19:04Speaker 2: don't have no idea if you're even dating, you're literally
- 19:07Speaker 2: on an app.
- 19:08Speaker 1: I'm literally looking at you and going, oh, I love wine.
- 19:10Speaker 1: Wine is great. I'm a big fan of wine.
- 19:12Speaker 2: I like that place I also mentioned.
- 19:14Speaker 1: I also just agreed to go. I was like, oh,
- 19:16Speaker 1: I'll be your date to that thing. Okay, so I'm
- 19:18Speaker 1: I would say yes to a date. Ask me out.
- 19:20Speaker 1: Are you so how dumb are you?
- 19:24Speaker 2: That's pretty dumb anyway? Well, yeah, I would say that's
- 19:28Speaker 2: a that's a that's a dune in the at.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Least there's.
- 19:34Speaker 2: A I j ai j j I j I j
- 19:38Speaker 2: I w that's the one that's supposed to be tonight
- 19:40Speaker 2: and that's still locked in. You guys have a place
- 19:42Speaker 2: already figured out.
- 19:42Speaker 1: Why is this man who's borderline AI my only romantic prospects.
- 19:46Speaker 2: I hope it's because he's not actually AI. I hope
- 19:48Speaker 2: it's that it's.
- 19:50Speaker 1: Don't do it your hair, it's not.
- 19:54Speaker 2: Understand the frustrations that part has to be.
- 19:58Speaker 1: I'm going to die alone.
- 20:00Speaker 2: Oh I don't think you'll die alone. It's just I'm.
- 20:02Speaker 1: Gonna die with fifteen chats in my eyes.
- 20:05Speaker 2: Yeah. A lot of people that show up, they're only
- 20:07Speaker 2: gonna show up when you die. They're like, oh my god,
- 20:10Speaker 2: I heard about her. I talked to her, and I'm.
- 20:12Speaker 1: Gonna like rise from the grave. I'll be like, are
- 20:13Speaker 1: you gonna ask me home? Are we going to Barcelona? Wine?
- 20:16Speaker 3: Bar?
- 20:17Speaker 2: Oh? I do think. I guess the best way is
- 20:21Speaker 2: just when friends connect with other friends. I know, I
- 20:25Speaker 2: know that's annoying, though.
- 20:26Speaker 1: I'm gonna go out with Jay and then I'm gonna
- 20:27Speaker 1: delete my inge just.
- 20:29Speaker 2: Back off it. Yeah, what about another thing?
- 20:31Speaker 1: Like shut up? What are you to say?
- 20:33Speaker 2: I don't know. I was gonna say bumble or no, because.
- 20:36Speaker 1: I've been on bumble before. The guys are typically better
- 20:38Speaker 1: on bumble. But they're like hot whossies again, like they'll
- 20:42Speaker 1: match with you and you'll never hear from them or
- 20:44Speaker 1: you'll see them on Are we dating the same guy?
- 20:46Speaker 2: Oh?
- 20:46Speaker 1: Lord?
- 20:47Speaker 2: Have mercy?
- 20:47Speaker 1: Yeah? Had that happened before?
- 20:48Speaker 2: Now? Have you where you'd talk to a guy and
- 20:50Speaker 2: you saw them there?
- 20:51Speaker 1: No short anecdote which I don't know if I ever
- 20:53Speaker 1: revealed this, but like two years ago I was talking
- 20:56Speaker 1: on The Bird Show about how I matched with this guy.
- 20:58Speaker 1: We called him hot Dentist because he's hot a dentist.
- 21:00Speaker 1: That's pretty nice but like so hot, and we were
- 21:03Speaker 1: chatting for like a day and the messages were so good.
- 21:06Speaker 1: He was so interested. I'm like, oh my god, I
- 21:08Speaker 1: love him. And then he ghosted. He like asked me
- 21:12Speaker 1: out and then he ghosted, and I got so upset
- 21:15Speaker 1: because I was like, oh my god, this guy's like
- 21:16Speaker 1: perfect mm and then he ended up on are we
- 21:20Speaker 1: dating the same guy? About six months ago? And my
- 21:24Speaker 1: friend Taylor was like, oh, I saw him and it's
- 21:26Speaker 1: like all these screenshots of this girl who went out
- 21:28Speaker 1: with him, and I guess he like fat shamed her
- 21:29Speaker 1: or something. Yeah, it was horrible.
- 21:31Speaker 2: Oh my god, that's horrible.
- 21:33Speaker 1: If it's true, that's heinous. But I wonder if it's
- 21:35Speaker 1: just some girl who was bitter and wanted to like
- 21:37Speaker 1: leave a bad review, but apparently he like pinched her
- 21:40Speaker 1: her stomach and.
- 21:41Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that's but it also does.
- 21:44Speaker 1: See that's the thing about dating guys that are that
- 21:46Speaker 1: hot and that's successful, is there if they're single. It
- 21:48Speaker 1: does make you wonder, okay, howcause you have so many options?
- 21:51Speaker 2: That's True're like why why would you be single?
- 21:53Speaker 1: Wow?
- 21:54Speaker 2: Wow, Wow, I don't understand what's wrong with you? That
- 21:57Speaker 2: is one of the big questions is you know you
- 21:58Speaker 2: look at people now and you're like, hmm, how are
- 22:00Speaker 2: you still available? Which is a silly.
- 22:02Speaker 1: Question, there's something wrong? Well, I think if guys are available,
- 22:04Speaker 1: I think it's a silly question. I know so many normal,
- 22:08Speaker 1: well adjusted women in my life.
- 22:09Speaker 2: But now we know why though, Now I know why
- 22:12Speaker 2: those the heck and I think it's a smart thing.
- 22:14Speaker 2: Why would you settle for a bee when it's like that,
- 22:17Speaker 2: I'd be miserable.
- 22:18Speaker 1: I would you settle for bee when Ji is going
- 22:20Speaker 1: to take you to blank blank?
- 22:22Speaker 2: He has a helicopter, he probably has a private jet,
- 22:25Speaker 2: and he's probably like the guy from the Shades of Gray.
- 22:27Speaker 1: No, he asked me to a restaurant. I'm not really
- 22:28Speaker 1: a fan of.
- 22:29Speaker 2: Oh, but is it a nice restaurant?
- 22:31Speaker 1: Yeah? I think objectively it's like a fine choice. But
- 22:33Speaker 1: when he said it, I went.
- 22:34Speaker 2: It's like, is it cliche?
- 22:37Speaker 3: Sure, I'll tell you what it is, Okay, I actually
- 22:48Speaker 3: have never been there, but.
- 22:49Speaker 1: Yeah, it's objectively fine.
- 22:51Speaker 2: It's I mean, it's like a staple in Tampa.
- 22:53Speaker 1: It's actually is the first date restaurant in Tampa.
- 22:56Speaker 2: Everybody else that you're going to be looking around. So
- 22:59Speaker 2: is it just a drink or is that actually like
- 23:00Speaker 2: a mule?
- 23:01Speaker 1: No, I'm hoping it's just a drink because I don't
- 23:02Speaker 1: like the food there.
- 23:03Speaker 2: Oh is there a bar inside?
- 23:05Speaker 1: I don't know there's a bar in there. I think
- 23:07Speaker 1: they actually do have a good happy hour. So it
- 23:08Speaker 1: does make me a little suss why he asked me
- 23:10Speaker 1: out there. I'm like, oh, so you're cheap, which is fine.
- 23:13Speaker 1: I'm like, please spend as little money on me as possible.
- 23:16Speaker 2: See if there's any interaction. Yeah, given an hour, that's tonight.
- 23:19Speaker 2: But then you're going to the event.
- 23:20Speaker 1: Yeah, you can take me to meet Market next and
- 23:21Speaker 1: then yeah, wow, no you well yeah, yeah he can
- 23:25Speaker 1: take me to meet Market.
- 23:25Speaker 2: I've never even got to meet Market. I don't know
- 23:27Speaker 2: how my girlfriend feel about me taking you to meet Martin.
- 23:29Speaker 1: No, no, no, I met him.
- 23:30Speaker 2: Well, that'd be really nice. I'm gonna be honest. I'm
- 23:34Speaker 2: an optimistic guy. I will be shocked if I get
- 23:38Speaker 2: a great report from Beth's back. Actually, I guess i'll
- 23:41Speaker 2: find out in a couple hours. I'm looking forward to it.
- 23:43Speaker 1: It's at five point thirty.
- 23:45Speaker 2: Wow. Wow, you gave a lot of time between that
- 23:48Speaker 2: and the event.
- 23:49Speaker 1: Well, because I have to drive there in Saint Pete
- 23:52Speaker 1: and I'm not having drinks in Saint Pete.
- 23:53Speaker 2: Well, who knows. By the time your girls get away comes,
- 23:56Speaker 2: maybe you'll be swooned up and taken before. Okay, alright,
- 24:00Speaker 2: this all A couple of spots are available. How people
- 24:03Speaker 2: want to get on for that get away.
- 24:05Speaker 1: It's in the episode description.
- 24:07Speaker 2: Here you go, Hey, you know what, maybe you know what.
- 24:10Speaker 2: We're just everyone just cross your fingers, say a prayer
- 24:12Speaker 2: for Abby.
- 24:14Speaker 1: Call a shaman, do a blood sacrifice.
- 24:18Speaker 2: I'm gonna do everything I can this weekend to find
- 24:19Speaker 2: a shaman, a rabbi, a priest, and I don't know
- 24:22Speaker 2: what else, because in that category, we're gonna we're gonna
- 24:25Speaker 2: lift this curse. Damn it. All right, everyone wish to
- 24:28Speaker 2: Abby good luck.
