  Speaker 1: So if it's Thursday at seven, that means I'm supposed to be here with y'all and today, before we go, and I just wanted to thank the folks, everybody who's watching on the various Facebook channels LinkedIn and YouTube and Twitter and Parade Deck Live on the Faith channel.

  Speaker 1: Y'all, just to make sure that we get this out, today is going to be a little bit of a recap of what we just experienced.

  Speaker 1: But today is going to be a little bit of a recap of some of the message from this weekend's powerful, amazing, divine retreat that we had.

  Speaker 1: The room was filled with about 40 women and y'all, it was just amazing.

  Speaker 1: So I just wanted to share that with you.

  Speaker 1: Some of what we talked about and some of the lessons, even that, I think, is really gonna benefit those of you who didn't get a chance to go.

  Speaker 1: So, father, we just thank you that you've allowed us to come to another Thursday.

  Speaker 1: Lord, as I'm pouring out your teaching, I pray that this is gonna bless someone, man or woman, that they will learn about this experience, this experience that takes place with the woman at the well, the Samaritan woman, and I just ask now, lord, god, that you'll cover us on all technologies so that the word goes out without interruption or disruption in men.

  Speaker 1: So I'm just gonna jump into the word and, like I said, if I'm missing any pages or I'm missing anybody, I think I'm all set.

  Speaker 1: So, the woman of the well, the word is gonna come out of John 4 and I am gonna share my screen out of the ESV version.

  Speaker 1: So just bear with me, I'm gonna get it up so y'all can read along with me.

  Speaker 1: And so ESV version again, this is John 4.

  Speaker 1: And I'm not gonna cover the whole text, but I am gonna cover some of the things, some of the things that stood out, some of the different themes that stood out.

  Speaker 1: The first one is Jesus meeting you where you are, the well moment.

  Speaker 1: For me, when I presented it this weekend, I was talking about Jesus meeting you where you are, and in this story we learned that Jesus came to the town of Samaria, at Kalsikar, and near a field, and it was even the position, the location where he went to, the near the field that Jacob had given to his son, joseph and a lot of you know the story of Joseph and Jacob's well was there.

  Speaker 1: And so Jesus, where he'd as he was from his journey, was sitting beside the well, and it was about noon, so it was about the six hour round noon.

  Speaker 1: And again, the Lord doesn't do anything by mistake, y'all, nothing by mistake.

  Speaker 1: It said that in verse four that you had to pass through this area, and so he came to this town and, if you understand the historical nature of Samaria, the Jews and the Samaritans weren't getting along.

  Speaker 1: Okay, it wasn't a friendly place.

  Speaker 1: So, for me, when I think about where I am in my journey maybe it's where you are in your journey or the things that you're going through, the things that you're dealing with the Lord coming and resting at your, resting at a place where you know maybe it's a chaotic place, it's not a friendly place, maybe this is a place for you where it's a place of lack, a place of need, and the Lord resting there.

  Speaker 1: He was worried from his journey, right, but he was sitting, he still.

  Speaker 1: He was sitting beside the well at the perfect time of the day.

  Speaker 1: So he comes at the six hour and the woman from Samaria comes to draw the water and again, for the women that are hearing this message, that the fact that the Lord, you know, there's no name of the woman given, so this woman could be you.

  Speaker 1: This woman is Shelley, this woman is Betty, this woman is Jessica, this woman is Tanya, this woman is, you know, all of us and we are you know, we are her and she's us.

  Speaker 1: Okay, and so the woman from Samaria, she came to draw the water, but this woman came to the well at a specific time during the day.

  Speaker 1: She had some things going on with her and she came to this place at the well, so at a time where she was avoiding and we understand why a little bit later in the story.

  Speaker 1: But we actually came to this at the well at the time when she was kind of trying to avoid the judgment, trying to avoid conversation gossip.

  Speaker 1: She came to the well at a time where we was just gonna be her and this was gonna be her moment.
• 7:35
  Speaker 1: Maybe this was her well-being moment, her wellness moment, but she was getting away from everything and this was the opportunity time for her to come and draw the water that she needed.

  Speaker 1: And so Jesus says to her in verse seven give me a drink.
• 7:50
  Speaker 1: And we understand that.
• 7:54
  Speaker 1: She says to him how is it a Jew, how is it that you, a Jew, would ask a drink from me, a woman of Samaria, a woman who is in that time?

  Speaker 1: Because we didn't know all of her story.

  Speaker 1: You know, as we go down in the verses, we understand why, why she positions like how is it that you, jesus, right, think about that in your lives today.

  Speaker 1: How is it that you, jesus, would ask me for something?

  Speaker 1: He's asking you to trust me, to give me your heart.

  Speaker 1: You know, follow me.
• 8:28
  Speaker 1: How is it that you would ask me?

  Speaker 1: Jesus answers and tells her in verse 10, if you knew the gift of God and who was saying to you, give me the drink, you'd ask him that he would give you living water.

  Speaker 1: I just, I love this, the way that this this positions her Jesus meeting her where she, where she is, meeting her physically, where she is.

  Speaker 1: In the same way, he's meeting you where you are in your situation, meeting you in your lack, meeting you in in your situation, on your job.

  Speaker 1: He's showing up for you, right.

  Speaker 1: But I also want to call out that it wasn't like Jesus was chasing after her.

  Speaker 1: He was rested at the well.
• 9:07
  Speaker 1: He was sitting, he was in a seated position.

  Speaker 1: So it's not that he's running.
• 9:13
  Speaker 1: And I think when we think about Jesus running after you, we got to be careful that we have this image of he's.

  Speaker 1: Just, you know, the Holy Spirit is a gentleman.

  Speaker 1: He's not going to runny down, beat you down, okay, but he's, he positions himself.

  Speaker 1: But she had to come to the well, she had to come to the place where Jesus is.

  Speaker 1: She had to arrive at the well, she had to show up.

  Speaker 1: So it's not just, you know him giving you everything and showing up and and blessing you at your well.

  Speaker 1: It's, it's you.
• 9:44
  Speaker 1: You have to do something.
• 9:46
  Speaker 1: You have to come to the well, you have to do something.

  Speaker 1: She, it says, she came to draw water, so she had to.

  Speaker 1: She had to come and do something, right.
• 9:55
  Speaker 1: She also came with a heart to receive something.

  Speaker 1: She came to the well to get water, she came to draw water, so she was in a position.

  Speaker 1: So, as we think about this, spiritually, y'all, spiritually, she came to a place where Jesus was, but she was already in a heart posture to receive something, to receive something.

  Speaker 1: We go further down into the verse and it shows us how the Lord is speaking to her about the differences between the water.

  Speaker 1: So now we're talking about the natural water, the water that she's reaching in to pull out, that's going to feed livestock or feed people natural water.

  Speaker 1: But the Lord is talking to her about the spring of water welling up to eternal life.

  Speaker 1: What is that water?
• 10:44
  Speaker 1: What is that water that she'll never thirst again?
• 10:48
  Speaker 1: It's that spiritual water is what we're talking about, right, and that Jesus is telling her that you will never thirst again.

  Speaker 1: And so when I think about that spiritual water.

  Speaker 1: I think a lot about the Holy Spirit and the way he pours out into us and Him being that for me, that spiritual water, that water that will never thirst again.

  Speaker 1: Verse 16, you know, this is where you know.

  Speaker 1: I think about this part as Jesus meeting her as she is.
• 11:20
  Speaker 1: So in verse 16, the Lord is now prophesying to her.

  Speaker 1: And this is so important because it's more than just you know Him saying go call your husband, blah, blah, blah.

  Speaker 1: It's more than just Him saying that I know who you are, I know what you've done.
• 11:40
  Speaker 1: And he needed to be able to speak to her in a prophetic way so that she understood that he knew her.
• 11:48
  Speaker 1: It wasn't, you know, a gentleman, that it wasn't just a gentleman that showed up.
• 11:53
  Speaker 1: This was God that showed up at the well.
• 11:56
  Speaker 1: So he's calling out things to her that only she would know, and maybe some people in the place in Samaria knew some of these things.

  Speaker 1: Again, like I said, she came to the well at a certain time during the day to avoid some of this chatter, this gossip, the other women, the other men, okay, so he's speaking these things to her to let her know that you know, you're right in saying I have, you know you have no husband.

  Speaker 1: He talks about that what you said is true and she counters back and says I perceive that you're a prophet means she was open, she perceived, she saw.

  Speaker 1: He opened her eyes so that she could see who he was, and by seeing who he is, then she started to receive what he said about her and who she is.

  Speaker 1: The way that he sees you is not the way that the world sees us.
• 12:51
  Speaker 1: Jesus was seeing this as a woman that he was worthy enough, despite all her baggage.
• 12:59
  Speaker 1: You know, maybe you're, maybe you're the guy who's got all kinds of baggage.

  Speaker 1: You know you've had, you've been the abuser, you've been the Gossiper, you've been the one who's caused some turmoil, right, maybe you're the woman that's that you know that's coming with all of these things.

  Speaker 1: These baggage are maybe, maybe that's your story, but he's still saying that I still, I still see you.

  Speaker 1: I still see you and the way that I see you is as a child of God.
• 13:26
  Speaker 1: Right, and I just love that.
• 13:30
  Speaker 1: It's in this encounter that I call the well moment, where the Lord Jesus showed up for her and she went to the well.

  Speaker 1: She had a heart that was willing and open to receive and he showed her who she was.
• 13:44
  Speaker 1: And we know that he showed her her real identity, not what the world was saying about her, not her sin, not hurt, not the sins that she committed, because you know what happened after you had this conversation.

  Speaker 1: Right is that she then, verse 39 says many Samaritans from that town believed in him, meaning Jesus, because of the woman's testimony.

  Speaker 1: He told me all that I ever did.
• 14:12
  Speaker 1: He told me all that I ever did, and even that I was like Holy Spirit.

  Speaker 1: You know what does that mean?
• 14:18
  Speaker 1: It's not that, it's not just that.

  Speaker 1: You know he told her that.
• 14:23
  Speaker 1: You know she was a woman that had many husbands because, because the Lord, I believe that he gave her a preview of all the things that she would have done after she left the well.

  Speaker 1: After she left the well, he spoke into her, all the things that she would do.
• 14:39
  Speaker 1: Because this woman then became an evangelist.
• 14:42
  Speaker 1: She went and tell people Right and many of the town believed.
• 14:46
  Speaker 1: So I, I stand on that truth that he, he must have told her her full Identity, the way that he saw her, and that's what caused her to go and Share her testimony.

  Speaker 1: And the testimony that she shared Lord.

  Speaker 1: It must have been all.
• 15:03
  Speaker 1: I would love to have heard what she said, because it wasn't just I met, I Met the prophet or I met you know, I met God at the well and he knew everything about me, but he forgave me, told me this and told me that, and I just love that story.

  Speaker 1: So I wanted to share that.

  Speaker 1: I want to share that with y'all because I think it's it's powerful.

  Speaker 1: But I want to share some other things with you, just that that we came out of that, that came out of this Saturday, and it's so.

  Speaker 1: It is so important for you to know that you don't have to be perfect.

  Speaker 1: There isn't a right time.
• 15:39
  Speaker 1: You don't have to get yourself ready in a certain way for you to have a well encounter.

  Speaker 1: You don't have to.
• 15:47
  Speaker 1: You don't have to wait until you know the Bible.

  Speaker 1: You know.
• 15:49
  Speaker 1: Here's my Bible.
• 15:50
  Speaker 1: I got a lot of sticky notes.

  Speaker 1: It's clear that I read it, but you got it.

  Speaker 1: Sometimes you got to close the Bible.

  Speaker 1: You got to go before the Lord, and my well moment, my well moment, my wellness moment, my well-being moment, is when I'm going to the Lord with things that I'm concerned about.

  Speaker 1: Even sometimes, I just want to.

  Speaker 1: I just want to share you know what's on other people's heart, my family's, all those things I'm not always going to to beg, but I'm always putting myself in a location in my heart Spiritually right.

  Speaker 1: The Lord, the Holy Spirit, is, is with us.

  Speaker 1: We know this.
• 16:25
  Speaker 1: If you're believer, you know the Holy Spirit.
• 16:27
  Speaker 1: So so basically I put it this way Jesus is already sitting at the well.

  Speaker 1: Okay, he's already seated.
• 16:35
  Speaker 1: Now it's up for me to approach him.
• 16:37
  Speaker 1: And so when I'm approaching the Lord, I'm going and he's reminding me who I am, and he's not saying Shelley, you're sinned from yesterday, you're sinned from this morning.

  Speaker 1: He's reminding me Shelley, you're my daughter, shelley, I love you, shelley, I gave you mercy, I gave you, I gave you grace.

  Speaker 1: Like he, I died for you.

  Speaker 1: You know, that's, that's what he's, that's how he's greeting me and as he's speaking into me and reminding me of who I am and who's I am, listen, then I can go off and give a witness to somebody else.

  Speaker 1: Then I can go off and and speak blessings into somebody else.

  Speaker 1: And so I encourage you to Position your heart to have a well encounter with the Lord.

  Speaker 1: It will change your life.

  Speaker 1: We watched it, as I said, this weekend and I'm still coming off of it.

  Speaker 1: And as I'm coming off of this weekend, I'm rolling to another powerful weekend that's coming with a group of women where we're gonna have another experience and encounter with Jesus.

  Speaker 1: But I just want you to know that he is at the well, he's sitting at your well, but you got to show up.

  Speaker 1: He's not gonna run after you.

  Speaker 1: Please stop confusing these songs.

  Speaker 1: They're inspired by the word.

  Speaker 1: I don't want it.

  Speaker 1: I don't want you to think that he's just gonna continue to just run after you and you just you just get caught Like it's a game.

  Speaker 1: Okay, you have to show up.

  Speaker 1: You have to be positioned.

  Speaker 1: You have to be in a position to receive what the Lord is saying about you.

  Speaker 1: You have to, you have to receive what he says about you or you're gonna be confused.

  Speaker 1: You're gonna be constantly looking for someone in this world to tell you how amazing you are.

  Speaker 1: And you know what was crazy is even if the Lord sent someone to tell you you're great, you still, you still.

  Speaker 1: You'll either corrupt it or you won't even believe it.

  Speaker 1: So you need to have a moment at the well with the Lord, where he speaks into you.

  Speaker 1: And again, I know I'm talking about the woman at the well, but this goes for men too.

  Speaker 1: So I pray that today, today, you'll take some time and just go before the Lord.

  Speaker 1: Lord, here I am at the well.

  Speaker 1: I want, I want that eternal.

  Speaker 1: I want that, I want the water that comes from you, I want the Holy Spirit, I want you to wash over me, I want you to bless me.

  Speaker 1: Lord, here I am at the well, all of me, and let him show you, let him show you, things about you that you, that you, you know, will blow your.

  Speaker 1: You blow your wig off if you wear a wig, blow your socks off if you're a man, okay, let him show you who you are, the way that he sees you, and that that bless you.

  Speaker 1: And then y'all you can't help but Tell everybody about your Jesus encounter at the well.

  Speaker 1: Father, I just thank you for all and everything.

  Speaker 1: I thank you that your word has been released now to anyone who has ears to hear that they will be blessed.

  Speaker 1: Lord, I just thank you that you have such a love for us and that your mercy is with us and your goodness and your Judgment is there, is.

  Speaker 1: There is no judgment against the sins we've committed because you've forgiven us.

  Speaker 1: Thank you, lord, god, that you have blessed us in this day.

  Speaker 1: And, lord, for everyone who is seeking that well moment, that Experience for God, that they will show up because you're already seated, you're already seated and waiting for them to just show Up and receive what you say about them.

  Speaker 1: And, lord, I pray everyone that is standing in need, especially as we're going into this holiday season, that they will have an encounter with you, lord, god, that they will have such an encounter with you that their lives will be Transformed, their minds will be changed, and that they'll be drawn back to you.
