- 0:32Catch me here Wednesdays at 4:00 PM Pacific Time only on NB Radio
- 0:37dot US. All right, good afternoon and
- 1:00welcome to another episode of the Frondose show right here on
- 1:03MB Radio. That's right, MB Radio dot US,
- 1:07the station that's giving veterans a voice.
- 1:10I'm proud to be one of those veterans a part of this network.
- 1:13Make sure you go to MB Radio dot US or the app and take an
- 1:17opportunity to listen to all the different podcasts of my
- 1:19brothers and sisters at arms that have their shows here that
- 1:23love sharing their stories and sharing their voices and other
- 1:26stories of other veterans. Also, we got some first
- 1:29responders too. So make sure you check out those
- 1:32shows. Let's see today we got something
- 1:36very exciting as always for you here.
- 1:40If you may or may not be aware that I am a co-owner now because
- 1:44I I I shared the teams with my my friends.
- 1:47So we, we, we, we're now Co owners of the not just the
- 1:51Ventura County Orcas or the Riverside County Mavericks, but
- 1:55the Inland Empire Hounds, which is the one team that we're
- 1:59keeping in this season. And so with that being said, we
- 2:02have a campaign called for the love of dogs.
- 2:05This campaign is dedicated to my pet who I had to put down Daisy.
- 2:12So my, my, my view of the campaign is more of the
- 2:15grievance conversation and just in having a few talks with
- 2:19people, a lot of people have had to put their dogs down.
- 2:23Or if I've had the dogs pass away and, and some people are
- 2:26like myself, not ready to take on another pet.
- 2:28And some people are able to go right out and get another dog.
- 2:31So, but do we really ever get a chance to deal with that grief?
- 2:35And so that is my part of the conversation about for the love
- 2:38of dogs. And then just helping out the
- 2:40other aspects of it from dog breeders again to the grief
- 2:43counseling, if you have dog services, if you are a
- 2:47organization that fosters dogs or pets, if you have a pet
- 2:51company that you provide services, whatever it is that
- 2:55relates to our, our fellow dogs, you're more than welcome to be a
- 2:59guest and, and Share your story. And also we offer opportunities
- 3:03to brand with us as this season is coming in October.
- 3:07You want to advertise with us and brand your company with us,
- 3:10Professional basketball organization, then we also have
- 3:14space for that available as well.
- 3:16So, yeah, so I'm just out in the community on social media, just
- 3:19reaching out to organizations, finding out what they do,
- 3:22finding out what their love for dogs are and then why they do
- 3:26what they do. Pretty much as the question is,
- 3:28is what's your why around all of all the other conversations that
- 3:31we can have about life. You know, people love their dogs
- 3:35and we take care of our dogs and and our dogs are actually part
- 3:38of our family in some cases. And for me, putting Daisy down
- 3:43was one of the hardest, man, one of the hardest things I've had
- 3:46to do in my life. My dad passed away in 2019.
- 3:52My grandfather passed in 2020, not due to COVID.
- 3:56He was 91 years old, 90 years old, and then my dog in 2022.
- 4:01And so that's a lot of that's a lot of grief, you know, in that
- 4:05time span. And I'm grateful that I have
- 4:09been able to, you know, find peace within myself around all
- 4:13the other areas of life that I was dealing with.
- 4:15And then to have them then take on grief with my dad was just a
- 4:20totally whole other conversation that we're going to have on our
- 4:23platforms as well. Especially losing a parent or a
- 4:26loved one or or sibling or child grandmother, but then you know,
- 4:32our animals. And so as, as, as I've been
- 4:35reaching and sharing, coming across people across social
- 4:38media and in the San Bernardino area, LA County area, I have a
- 4:42guest today, Mitch, who's going to share what he's up to.
- 4:46I, I like what he does because as a sickle cell trade advocate,
- 4:51you may remember I met Doctor Maisha, She does telehealth and
- 4:55she's in North Carolina and she's licensed in 20 states
- 4:59where she can actually see patients.
- 5:01And so in, in our sickle cell trait conversation, we've been
- 5:05able to send people her way who have sickle cell trait and had
- 5:09no idea that there was complications of parents were
- 5:12seeing their child play sports, having health issues and
- 5:14struggling with their health. And, and unfortunately some of
- 5:18those cases are connected to sickle cell trait because it is
- 5:20an inherited gene. It it affects the red blood
- 5:23cells and those red blood cells can mutate and cause health
- 5:28problems. And gratefully, finally there's
- 5:32a conversation that's been shifting that the medical
- 5:34community are starting to realize that sickle cell trait
- 5:37is not benign, right. So it's not just don't have a
- 5:41baby with someone that can have sickle cell trait or disease.
- 5:44But also again, people with sickle cell trait might have
- 5:48some real life health complications connected to that
- 5:51one copy of the gene. They've known that for years.
- 5:55And finally, with what I experienced with sickle cell
- 5:59trait and rhabdomyelosis, the RABDO is what can cause a sudden
- 6:04death and health complications connected with the sickle cell
- 6:06trait. So with those two cut together,
- 6:09we're a little bit more susceptible of having heat
- 6:11exhaustion and heat exertion and collapse and the worst cases
- 6:14we've seen military personnel and athletes die from those
- 6:18health complications. So now with the sickle cell
- 6:21trait, there is a rare and they've known about this
- 6:23already, there is a rare kidney cancer directly connected to
- 6:28sickle cell trade carriers. And that is what sparked the
- 6:31conversation more broadly, nationally and internationally
- 6:36that sickle cell trade is about to be not benign.
- 6:42So there's articles published out of the UK and when those
- 6:45articles come together and, and, and reach the United States, I'm
- 6:49pretty sure already there's conversations about the sickle
- 6:53cell trade is not benign. We know it causes blood clots
- 6:57again, collapsing, a lot of different things.
- 7:00Pain. I've had pain in my arms since I
- 7:02was 2 years old, my mom says. And so those were what we
- 7:05figured out as sickle cell trait crisis.
- 7:07And so for some athletes, it's hard for them to recover after
- 7:10exercising. And for some, again, we have had
- 7:13to collapse and sudden death. So we're going to get started
- 7:16with this episode here. I want to play our PSA.
- 7:21This is Kamigo. They are part of my show on KCAA
- 7:27Radio One O 6.5 FM 50 and that shows on Sunday night.
- 7:31So you can catch me over there at KCAA on Sunday nights.
- 7:34But this PSA is dedicated to our veteran community and again, as
- 7:41a human being conversation. A lot of us deal with some type
- 7:45of stress, anxiety, and sometimes for us as veterans
- 7:48like myself, I don't want to take drugs or medication.
- 7:51And so sometimes there's just a device that can help you control
- 7:55your breathing. You hear people say, take a
- 7:57breath, stop, take some deep breaths and, and you and you can
- 8:01calm your nerves down. So this might be something for
- 8:04you, although it's dedicated to us as veterans.
- 8:07But again, this is a human being conversation.
- 8:09Again, thanks for tuning into the Ferrandozzi show right here
- 8:13on MB Radio. Some of us still carry the
- 8:16burden of battle. It threatens to drown us in our
- 8:19everyday lives. In battle, we had our weapons
- 8:22and combat gear to keep us safe, to keep us confident, but when
- 8:27we returned home, we were not armed with weapons and gear to
- 8:30cope with our own minds. I was lucky to find my combat
- 8:34gear, my mental weapon and it's called Kamago.
- 8:38Kamago is a drug free device that allows you to achieve calm
- 8:42in less than 3 minutes and moments of anxiety, stress,
- 8:46anger, panic or insomnia. Not with medication, but rather
- 8:51by activating the parasympathetic nervous system
- 8:53through breathing regulation and multisensory stimulation.
- 8:57A recent study has shown that Kamago decreases PTSD and
- 9:00anxiety levels in veterans, helping those who are suffering
- 9:03and having a long lasting effect.
- 9:06Visit kamago.com to learn how you can get Kamago through the
- 9:09VA or with a special Veterans discount code.
- 9:30Hey, what's up man? How you doing?
- 9:30I'm. Blessed my brother.
- 9:32I'm good, man, I'm good. Hey, did you see the game last
- 9:34night? I was your game.
- 9:35But did you see the shot? I lost money from that.
- 9:38Oh man, that shot was. Old man, but it was good.
- 9:42Yeah. What's the name?
- 9:45Jeez. You really want to know.
- 9:51I do. Exhaustion, muscle spasm,
- 9:57Asthmatic issues, unexpected sickle cell trait Triton.
- 10:01Are. You serious?
- 10:03When I was young I found out I had sickle cell trait.
- 10:06My mom's told me but I didn't have no knowledge of it.
- 10:08But when I got older I had a child and the doctor told me my
- 10:11daughter has sickle cell trait. You know, the fact that both
- 10:14parents have sickle cell trait, there's a 50% chance the child
- 10:17may have the trait and 25% chance the child may have the
- 10:20disease. And that's what's the count.
- 10:22Do you know that 2.5 million people in the United States have
- 10:25sickle cell trait? 300 million people globally.
- 10:27I didn't find out I had sickle cell trait until I was in the
- 10:29Army 10 years. Next thing you know, I had a
- 10:31sickle cell trait. Exertion Site.
- 10:33April Cell. I thought that was a black gene
- 10:36or something. Nah man, the black community is
- 10:38number 21 out of 36,000 babies are being born with sickle cell
- 10:41disease. You could be Caucasian,
- 10:43Mediterranean, European. You got rid of a red line man.
- 10:49There is an inherited gene in our community that has been
- 10:52forgotten. The name is sickle cell trait.
- 10:54WDCONSCT, also known as What's the Count, is out to bring
- 10:59awareness, education and prevention to people all over
- 11:02the globe. Want more information?
- 11:04Call us now at 323-215-5384 or visit www.wdconsct.org.
- 11:26All right, welcome back to another episode of the Frondose
- 11:29Show on MB Radio. I want to say I'm blessed next
- 11:34week. I haven't told Big Dre this yet,
- 11:37but we probably not have a show next week because I will be in
- 11:41Las Vegas speaking around sickle cell trade at a sorority event.
- 11:46But I think it's their national conference.
- 11:49And so Jody and myself will be there travelling on Tuesday,
- 11:53speaking on Wednesday. So yeah, probably catch a rerun.
- 11:58That's what you probably see. All right, so again, thanks for
- 12:01listening to the Front Jose show.
- 12:04Just a side note. It it it is called trench talk.
- 12:08However, I don't know, I may be changing that name.
- 12:11So we'll see. Right now we're just going to
- 12:13keep it at the front Doze show, but there is a trench talk
- 12:17segment. But I may just change some of
- 12:19that stuff to just revamp it, even though it's been branded
- 12:23for that such a long time. But however, today is very
- 12:26important. Again, if you want more
- 12:27information about the Island Empire Hounds for the Love of
- 12:31Dogs campaign, you can go to iehounds.com.
- 12:34I'll put that up on the screen later.
- 12:36But today, again, I, I've been out just reaching out to people
- 12:40and I came across this page and I, I again connected to it
- 12:45because of the things that we do around sickle cell trade and
- 12:48telehealth. I just thought that his white
- 12:50coat, white coat business was important.
- 12:54And so I'm going to bring up Mitch who is believe he's in
- 12:58Louisiana today. How you doing, Sir?
- 13:00Good, good man, how about yourself?
- 13:02I'm great man. Thank you for for accepting my
- 13:04invitation to hang out today. Hey.
- 13:06Look, I appreciate it. I I've been looking forward to
- 13:08it and glad we can make it happen.
- 13:10We have crazy weather here right now, so my signal may be a
- 13:14little sketchy, but we'll we'll make it work.
- 13:16No problem, we'll make it work. I won't keep you on too long.
- 13:18I know you in a different time zone.
- 13:20But again, thank you for for taking some time out this
- 13:22evening to be on here. So do me a favor, just introduce
- 13:25yourself, give a little bit of background, and then we'll just
- 13:27have. A Absolutely.
- 13:29My name is Mitch Bratton. I have 20 had 23 years as a
- 13:35first responder but then also have owned businesses for 20
- 13:40years, restaurants and security guard agency, serial
- 13:44entrepreneur. I think it's my.
- 13:47I think it's a good trait. My wife thinks it may be a
- 13:50syndrome. Because.
- 13:52She never knows what we're going to have, but during my time in
- 13:57law enforcement, I was AK-9 officer.
- 13:59No kidding. So Belgian Malinois, which is
- 14:04what I had both times, both the past of old age 1 was was older
- 14:10when it came to me and it no one could deal with it.
- 14:14It was he was just, he was a grouchy old man.
- 14:17No, but we we worked well together and then got a after,
- 14:23after Rocco passed away a few years later, we ended up with a
- 14:27canine and the community named it.
- 14:29Its name was Justice and it was deserved until he had some early
- 14:35onset hip problems and some health issues.
- 14:38So love dogs. We got, you know, our our Pets
- 14:42at Home now and things which are not nearly as useful as my
- 14:46canines were, but we love them anyway.
- 14:50We my my kids picked a schnauzer weenie dog mix so I can you can
- 14:55imagine how useful fella is. Two totally different worlds,
- 15:01huh? Absolutely completely from from
- 15:04you know, straight on business mind and and just useful and a a
- 15:09wonderful tool too. Whatever the opposite of all
- 15:13those things are is what we have now.
- 15:14So let. Me, let me ask you, being in law
- 15:19enforcement, was that an opportunity to work with the
- 15:21canines or how did that part come up for you it?
- 15:24Was so the first one I had was when I worked for the Sheriff's
- 15:28Department here, it got assigned to me because nobody else wanted
- 15:32it. And I, I was the new guy.
- 15:34So they're like, well, let's see how this works.
- 15:36And we, we, we made it work. And then the next was because I
- 15:40had the training and things to work with the dog.
- 15:43And so that's where justice came along.
- 15:45So, and course, you know, they, they live with us.
- 15:47And after their, when their health got where they weren't
- 15:49working dogs anymore, they, they just looked it up here, you
- 15:54know, as pets and and things. So, you know, obviously very
- 15:59attached, just like you were with as you were talking about.
- 16:03I was reading that actually on the hounds website on the when I
- 16:08was looking about the campaign you got you're going to be
- 16:11starting and doing so I thought that that's all really cool.
- 16:14And so between the, you know, the, the, the affection and the
- 16:20the closest with dogs and animals in general, we right now
- 16:24we at my house, we have a bearded dragon ducks.
- 16:28You'd have a miniature highland cow and the pasture Outback.
- 16:32And so you never know, we kind of like a zoo around here.
- 16:36So getting that in the, the entrepreneurial side and I
- 16:40actually have a own a telehealth as well and we have a national
- 16:44doctors network that that works with that and pharmacy.
- 16:48But then that led to the the televet program.
- 16:51Wait wait wait wait wait. So you have a telehealth
- 16:54medical? I do, yeah.
- 16:56It's it's whitecoat-md.com and then you have white coat DVM,
- 17:03which is our veterinary side. So yeah, both are fairly new
- 17:08businesses. The the telehealth is everything
- 17:10from primary care and you know, different things to to weight
- 17:14loss and and you know, anti aging, just kind of whatever and
- 17:20tries to kind of level the playing field for people that
- 17:22may not have access to, to get to something.
- 17:25And you know, we have a national doctors network, some of the
- 17:29best out there that are part of it.
- 17:30And so we have that and then that kind of led to the the
- 17:35telivet. And.
- 17:37We did the same with it. So White Coat, DVM, doctor of
- 17:41veterinary medicine, but it's all all one word.
- 17:44Whitecoatdvm.com and basically we operate it as a subscription
- 17:51service. It's is there's no requirement.
- 17:54You can cancel at any time, but it's 1999 a month and that gives
- 17:58that subscriber 24 hour a day as many times as they need
- 18:02unlimited access to our licensed vets and Tiffany, we're not we
- 18:08can't take the place of your local vet because we're not
- 18:11there. You know, our our team is not in
- 18:13in your towns. We can't do some things, but
- 18:16we're there at 2:00 AM when you've got a problem and you
- 18:19don't know, is it a serious issue with your pet or is it
- 18:23just something, you know, run-of-the-mill that can wait?
- 18:27A lot of instances, depending on the state law, our vets can
- 18:31prescribe things for pets, anxiety, you know, and general
- 18:36health, things of that nature. And the big thing, if you do
- 18:39reach out to us and your pet does appear to be having a
- 18:42genuine emergency, our team will help you find the closest,
- 18:46fastest place to get to that can see you in an emergency
- 18:50situation. So, you know, there's no, no
- 18:53extra fees, nothing. It's, it's just the 1999.
- 18:57And they also offer pet advice. You know, you get new pet
- 19:01owners. It's, it's like being a new
- 19:02parent. I wished I had one when my, I
- 19:05have a 17 year old daughter and 14 year old boys and I wish I'd
- 19:08had somebody I could have called 27 for advice for them.
- 19:13And the same thing with the pets, you know, you get new pet
- 19:16owners and we even offer some online behavioral training to,
- 19:20you know, to help you with things for your animals.
- 19:22And it's all included in that 1999.
- 19:25And something that I've, I've also is close to me is, is
- 19:29rescues and shelters, because none of there's not a single one
- 19:33that has enough funds that operate and the need is always
- 19:39going to be greater than the resources.
- 19:42And so something we have started to, to do with any shelter,
- 19:48anybody that you know, that we need, they need to be licensed.
- 19:52You know, we, we want to make sure that they're legit and
- 19:55doing things we will, they can basically become an affiliate
- 20:01for lack of a better term. And for anybody that signs up
- 20:04for our subscription for the unlimited televet, we'll do $5 a
- 20:09month per person for as long as that person is a member.
- 20:12So someone signs up and they, they pay the subscription for 10
- 20:17years. Every month we send $5 out of
- 20:20their 20 to that rescue or shelter and.
- 20:24So that's just kind of something we do to try to give back 'cause
- 20:27you know, you get donations and things for the, the rescues, but
- 20:32you don't get a lot that's recurring that you can count on
- 20:34every month. And so, you know, if shelter
- 20:37goes, if they get a, you know, 500 people to, to sign up and
- 20:42you know, be and subscribe under them, well, they're going to
- 20:44get, you know, $2500 a month, every month, you know, long as
- 20:47those people are on there. And actually, so anybody that
- 20:51goes to the site shelter or, or rescue, or if they want to
- 20:56suggest one, they can actually go there and click the red
- 21:00message support button. And I've got that right now.
- 21:02Those messages will come to me. If they mention that they heard
- 21:05it on here for the first three months that that shelter is on
- 21:09there and that anybody signs up, we'll do $10 for everybody that
- 21:14signs up on it. And then after that it would go
- 21:16to the five. But just try to something we
- 21:18could give back. And it's, it's kind of a labor
- 21:22of love. The televest that is the
- 21:25telehealth is, is we're operating it like a business.
- 21:28And so the televent though, I'm, I'm probably operating it out of
- 21:33good sense just to, to get the service to people and then then
- 21:38to try to get a, a system to get some recurring funds to these
- 21:42shelters and rescues that are out here doing the Lord's work
- 21:46without any money. Well, you, you, you took the
- 21:49words out of my mouth because as, as, as I've been on my
- 21:52spiritual journey, the last, you know, full force six years, you
- 21:56know, I, I, the, the, the Ventura County orcas, right?
- 22:01The orcas are an endangered species, right?
- 22:04And so we created a whole campaign around the orcas last
- 22:07season when we put, we introduced them to the league.
- 22:10And it just made me think about how we, as the people are
- 22:15supposed to take care of this planet, right?
- 22:19The, the animals, I mean, as Adam, as Adam did.
- 22:21And so it was like, you know, there is a part of life that
- 22:24that we are responsible for taking care of these animals in
- 22:27the NRN. And so that give back, as you're
- 22:30saying, is, is a is AI think it, I'm not that I think, but I know
- 22:34it's our responsibility. So when we took over the IE
- 22:37hounds, as I mentioned the conversation with my co-owner,
- 22:42somehow we both just started talking about our dogs that we
- 22:44had to put down that we're grieving.
- 22:45It was like, well, wait a minute, the the the mascot is
- 22:48the hound. And we're over here talking
- 22:50about, you know, almost crying about our, our, our pets being
- 22:54put down and, and being deceased.
- 22:56And it's like, why don't we just create a campaign for the hounds
- 22:59and, and do and do what you just said, help these organizations
- 23:02that are fostering, that need dog supplies, that need dog
- 23:05food. Like, how can we not support
- 23:08that? And so we pray that that will be
- 23:11one of the platforms campaigns that we can in return contribute
- 23:16to in San Mateo is one of the largest counties in LA, so
- 23:20California. So that's one of our, our, our
- 23:23whys before I let you go, just is there anything else?
- 23:28Can you, can you say what states are you licensed in California?
- 23:31Like are you able to say what states that you can?
- 23:33Absolutely. So our vets are licensed for
- 23:36consults in all 50 States and so the where it varies some is on
- 23:44the prescription side. OK.
- 23:47Every state has different requirements on what establishes
- 23:51the vet patient contact like Louisiana allows virtual to
- 23:58establish the vet and patient contact.
- 24:02Florida it does the same. California I believe allows it
- 24:07as well. But then I know Oregon does not
- 24:11in Colorado does not. So in those states, we are
- 24:15limited in what we can do. You know, we, the vet still see
- 24:19a video chat with you and your pet.
- 24:21They can still give you a diagnosis, some ideas if there's
- 24:24something over the counter that might could help your pet
- 24:28symptoms or if it's an emergency, you know, they'll
- 24:30help you get a referral and get where you need to be.
- 24:32But unfortunately they couldn't do a prescription.
- 24:36OK again man, thank you so much for sharing that.
- 24:38I hope that we can have a conversation outside us because
- 24:40like I said, I, we, we have what we call the trait Dr. doctor
- 24:45Maisha and, and she has been able to see patients.
- 24:48Like I said, she's licensed in 20 states.
- 24:51And so like I said, with that sickle cell traitor and parents
- 24:54not knowing, not aware of those complications and health issues,
- 24:58she's been able to definitely help, even partner with their
- 25:00doctors and provide information and, and prescriptions and, and
- 25:06consultations and things like that.
- 25:07So she has the same type of business.
- 25:09That's why when I saw yours, I was like, man, that's, that's
- 25:11stimulus to what we're doing for, for our community of sickle
- 25:14cell there. There's never a time when you
- 25:17can have too much knowledge on the line all.
- 25:21Right, I'm going to bring up Big Dre and see if Big Dre's got
- 25:23something for you. I know you guys were talking
- 25:25behind the scenes. Big Dre, What's happening, man?
- 25:28Man, I love that Mitch. I mean, I'm I'm going to do.
- 25:33I had a kill. I had a Rottweiler, I had a
- 25:36bullmaster, so I know I was going to say.
- 25:41You could have rode that thing to college.
- 25:44Yeah, I'm, I'm a big boy. I'm 6/4 and I'm a I'm a
- 25:46countryable Mississippi boy. LSULSU pride, of course.
- 25:50Go Tigers, you know, national championship baseball again, you
- 25:55know, so I love the idea what you got?
- 25:57So basically you have you have vegetarians on call for your
- 26:00dog's illness. That is incredible.
- 26:02We'll need more of that. I appreciate it.
- 26:05We're we're very proud of it and and proud of the response we've
- 26:08seen and love the idea. There's a shelter an hour or so
- 26:12from me and I watch them and they're on Facebook everyday
- 26:16begging. Can we get can somebody donate
- 26:17to some fans for that? The dogs, can we get some food?
- 26:21And I thought, you know, these folks, they're most of those
- 26:23are, they're volunteering and, and you know, and they're on
- 26:25here having to beg to just not have to, you know, spend their
- 26:29last dime to get it. So, you know, if we can, we can
- 26:32do something that that benefits the, the person.
- 26:35And then also, but it's it's maybe they can spend one day
- 26:38less on Facebook asking for for basically.
- 26:44Go fund me, Go fund me for a pack of cigarettes like some of
- 26:47them do. They abuse it.
- 26:49You know, I got to have, I got to have $75 million a pack of
- 26:54cigarettes. Can you do it and go fund me,
- 26:56though? Yeah, it's got, it's
- 26:57interesting. But I know for Ron has your
- 27:00information. Good.
- 27:01I'm going to pass it on to my team and my meeting.
- 27:04I'm in Saturday for my Indian tribe people and I would love to
- 27:07help that cause for sure man donations.
- 27:09Hey, look, that would be great. And like I say, anybody they can
- 27:12go there and just click that red and I've said it where all those
- 27:15messages will come to me and also it they can e-mail
- 27:19info@whitecoatdvm.com and I've got it all to come to me right
- 27:24now. Mentioned they heard it on this
- 27:26and we'll we'll double what we contribute for that first 90
- 27:29days. All right, definitely, man.
- 27:31I, I thank you again for your time and thank your service man
- 27:35being a, being a, you know, former law enforcement and
- 27:38everything else you know, and being a first responder man,
- 27:40thanks for your service man. Look, I appreciate you guys very
- 27:43much. So I great really appreciate the
- 27:46opportunity to be on here and hope we can think of something
- 27:49to talk about again. Oh yeah, I'm, I'm already
- 27:51thinking like we forgot. There's a whole another aspect
- 27:54of life that we we, we kind of glazed over so.
- 27:57That's right. Before I let you go for you
- 28:02growing up in your environment, what was that like for you, you
- 28:05know, in your in your day and age of growing up as a child
- 28:08from the environment you grew up in man?
- 28:11Man, I'll be honest, I had it too easy.
- 28:13I had man, that's what I I had great parents that they
- 28:16supported me. They they my first business.
- 28:20I was 15 and my dad signed a note and I bought AT shirt
- 28:23printing company and that was not odd in high school.
- 28:26I skirts and like it was, it was a like a a shooting fish in a
- 28:32barrel, man. I had all the school groups.
- 28:34I had all those things, you know, I.
- 28:36Like, I love it. And did that for for about 5
- 28:40years and and ventured out some other things.
- 28:44Sold that. So we always had animals.
- 28:47They they they never told me no about bringing home some random
- 28:49animal. Or what we're going to.
- 28:50Have now I've got kids like me. Your nickname was Jamaic
- 28:55Jamaican Mitch. That's your nickname.
- 28:59He. Got 15 jobs mine.
- 29:03He said, he said, his wife said it's the syndrome man.
- 29:10Your wife says, Oh my God, another, another creature.
- 29:13You bring another kid home and a dog and I love it.
- 29:17I'm getting paid back several years ago my daughter wanted a
- 29:20horse and. I'm like.
- 29:24I wasn't for it so we compromised and got 4.
- 29:29So now you got 4. Yeah, so she barrel.
- 29:33Rides. Everybody gets a horse, so you
- 29:35get 1, you get 1. And so she barrel races and then
- 29:39she's passed it on to other kids.
- 29:41The community, they come and she teaches them and let's them ride
- 29:44horses. And so it's just just a cycle
- 29:48and. You know what I I I heard I
- 29:51forgot the guy. He's a pretty popular name.
- 29:54Zigs. I don't know if it's Zig, but he
- 29:57said that when he was a child he bought 2 bikes, one to ride and
- 30:03one to rent and he was had a business at like 12:13 14-15
- 30:09years old because kids in the neighborhood didn't have bikes.
- 30:11Yeah, so he was like business minded that, Young said.
- 30:14I bought 1 to ride and one to rent and I would charge them a
- 30:18dollar $2.00. To rent.
- 30:20I was like. How did we miss that?
- 30:23Yeah, my boys, they're twins. They're 14 and they've had 3D
- 30:30printers for a couple years. And they cornered.
- 30:32They cornered the junior high market for all the good 3D
- 30:36principles and so. Oh, man, you you couldn't be a
- 30:39he'll keep watching me in there. Whatever.
- 30:41You're 21 years old and you couldn't you said you could
- 30:44retire Mitch. You and the wife is about
- 30:45another another another year or two.
- 30:47Yeah, I just don't. Hear that?
- 30:49When they put me in a home, give me one with a room, you know
- 30:51that. Was something nice.
- 30:55That's Mitch and and yeah, thank.
- 30:57Thank you again, Mitch, on my behalf.
- 30:58Thank you man so much. Man, for hanging out, like I
- 31:00said, we'll, we'll make sure we bring you back for some more
- 31:03discussions around life and sports and those kind of topics.
- 31:05Too man, looking forward to it. All right.
- 31:07Appreciate you. Yeah, thank.
- 31:09You all right. Thank you.
- 31:10Thank you there. This is the front dose issue.
- 31:12We have Mitch big Drake's in the building.
- 31:14We got Kay coming up next, so make.
- 31:16Sure. You.
- 31:16Oh yeah. Yeah.
- 31:17Get ready. I'm hungry for a hot dog.
- 31:20This dude is already hungry. All right, we'll play some more
- 31:23Psas and then we'll come back and take on segment #2.
- 31:28Oh yeah. Front dose they show?
- 31:29A dog queen. Otobia Salve made from natural

- 31:57botanicaherbalco.com. Do you remember studying sickle
- 32:05cell in biology class? What's the count on?
- 32:07Sickle Cell Trait Prevention is here to bring you awareness,
- 32:11education and prevention conversations around the risk
- 32:13factors of this inherited gene. Visit WDCON sct.org.

- 32:59I just want you to know that that conversation is very
- 33:02important subject matter. It is part of my DNA.
- 33:07African Americans, we are #1. However, the Latin community is
- 33:10number 2. That's why I have that PSA for
- 33:12our Latin community, because they are #2 again, it's not a
- 33:16skin color, it is a bloodline. So you could be Caucasian,
- 33:19Mediterranean, Asian descent. You have to know where your
- 33:23ancestors are from. And if you, your ancestors are
- 33:25from an area where malaria was present, guess what?
- 33:28You could have that gene because that's the gene that combats
- 33:32malaria for us as Africans. That's why population is #1 but
- 33:36the Latin community have sickle cell trait.
- 33:39They also have thalassemia trait.
- 33:40There's also C trait, D trait. So depending on your ancestral
- 33:44background, you might have another red blood cell condition
- 33:48as we call the cousin of sickle cell trait that could combat
- 33:54malaria. But when two people have those
- 33:56inherited genes as I have sickle cell trait, imagine my partner,
- 34:00she had C trait and didn't know we could have a baby with sickle
- 34:04cell SC disease or sickle cell beta thalassemia or sickle cell
- 34:08and C trait, D trait. And so those are parts of our
- 34:11community that experience different types of sickle cell
- 34:14disease and of course, s s, which is sickle cell anemia.
- 34:18I have been blessed to ask to be a godfather of a young baby who
- 34:23has sickle cell s s. And so that just gives me more,
- 34:28you know, drive to to start a blood drive campaign to around
- 34:32sickle cell because African Americans don't donate blood.
- 34:35So we have a whole campaign coming around that.
- 34:38So again, thanks for tuning, listening in.
- 34:41I'm going to bring up Big Dre. Yes, yes.
- 34:45First, first of all, man, I want to give honor to all the
- 34:52veterans out there. I was at my school, I met
- 34:56Charles, who was a Vietnam vet and he might be watching right
- 35:01now inside there, but I want to give a shout out to him.
- 35:04I'm going to try to have him on the show the week after next.
- 35:06I'll be in Vegas this weekend for the fight.
- 35:10The Manny Pacquiao barrel fight is.
- 35:12That this weekend or the 19th next weekend see I'm I I might
- 35:17have to try to stay an extra couple of.
- 35:19Days yeah, you like I'll be up through a company on Friday.
- 35:23Oh yeah, on Friday. So, you know, it's like it's
- 35:28it's it's like we're ready to do this thing with, you know, bags
- 35:31and canvas and everything. But like I say, first of all, I
- 35:34was talking to show and thanking you again how you gave me the
- 35:38blessings and honor come in to try to take a place in the world
- 35:42to help these men and women that deal with sickle cell.
- 35:46And this month is disability month with no color.
- 35:51It's not a shame, it's not a disease.
- 35:54It's everyday life with disability.
- 35:58We all have friends at disability mentally challenged
- 36:01as things they're dealing with and we're very supportive.
- 36:04That, that disability, that's probably, that's probably we got
- 36:06to have a talk this month about that because of my, my
- 36:08relationship to being disabled veteran, man, it almost took me
- 36:12out. I was getting ready to sell
- 36:14everything because I felt like I'm disabled now.
- 36:16So I can't have a motorcycle. I can't have my three wheel.
- 36:19Like, like there's things I can't do anymore because I'm
- 36:22disabled. And I almost, I almost put that
- 36:24label on, man, almost. We definitely have to have that
- 36:28talk this month, Yeah. For sure.
- 36:30So what? What's up with Kate?
- 36:32Introduce Kate Howard. Man, how much before I bring
- 36:35this queen up her name? I met her, a friend shot me and
- 36:40the missus. She had this little fan up
- 36:42there, what you call her hot dog queen.
- 36:46But I tell her food is so incredible, make you want to
- 36:49slap your grandfather's third cousin. 5th to the power night.
- 36:54That's how good her dog were. Her tacos, her Turkey dogs,
- 36:58Chicago dog, you name it, she has.
- 37:02But then she crossed over, then she is, then she crossed over to
- 37:06the trucking industry. And lastly, the owner, ladies
- 37:13and gentlemen, Miss Kay How? How you doing?
- 37:16How you doing introduction and all that?
- 37:24Don't call the comeback. I've been there for you.
- 37:30No, I thought that was, I thought it was a conspiracy
- 37:32because when he was talking about me, my, my it start
- 37:34buffering, I was like, what are you saying?
- 37:37Yeah, on purpose. On purpose.
- 37:38See what? I was sick anyway.
- 37:40Walk, walk. Walk.
- 37:41Walk. Walk.
- 37:41Walk. Right.
- 37:43That's how I felt I went. I don't know.
- 37:45I'm gonna make, I'm gonna make my voice heard, even if I had to
- 37:49wait for after buffers. So.
- 37:51There you go. How?
- 37:53You doing today? I'm doing great.
- 37:55Nice to meet you. You too.
- 37:57Thank you for hanging out today with us.
- 38:00Of course, you and I know you was in the background looking at
- 38:02me going from the back house to the front house.
- 38:04I was like, no, I can, I need to make, I got to make my voice
- 38:09heard, so I got to make sure I get some good signal.
- 38:11Yeah, I might need to go stick my truck.
- 38:13Everybody's outside. Everybody didn't get out of
- 38:15here. Going No, I'm at my college, I'm
- 38:17at school, you know, like me. I'm out here front.
- 38:20That's it. I got to make sure I'm in.
- 38:21Sue called me while I was talking to my professor and
- 38:24everything. I'm like, Oh my God, hold on the
- 38:25case, call me, let me hurry up. You know, let's tell you that
- 38:28too. So the question we all want to
- 38:30know, by the way. He may have to change his
- 38:32podcast, a car podcast because I had.
- 38:35No Carly. Carly, me and Dre.
- 38:37In the car like for a reason, We.
- 38:39Gonna call it front seat. Front seat The front seat I own.
- 38:44That right there I. Own that's right, that's right,
- 38:47that's you, that's you get the trademark for you now let's get
- 38:50it. Let's get it.
- 38:50Let's we want to ask we want to ask a question.
- 38:55We want a famous question of me and Poran want to know who is
- 39:01the the queen of hot dog? The hot dog queen of The Who
- 39:04misses how if you start and where you from?
- 39:08I'm gonna just tell you right now, you, you starting from the
- 39:10back end, because if you want to start where, where where hot
- 39:13dogs started from, it's The Who is credit girl plus, who is
- 39:17Royal hair exchange, Who is K Freight logistics, who is hot
- 39:22dog? I'm so many.
- 39:24And the thing behind it is that I'm a woman that believes in
- 39:27everything. I believe I can do everything
- 39:30and I don't say. Nobody would hate to make it.
- 39:34And you know what, it's nice that they're making.
- 39:36I had a real conversation. I was just like, people were
- 39:38like, well, you all over the place.
- 39:40I know I'm not even I said, I said I'm not even a woman that's
- 39:45all over the place. I'm a woman that didn't learn
- 39:48'cause I was the other day. I was listening to what's her
- 39:53name? I forgot her name.
- 39:54She used to she had a baby with with the the man Kardashian.
- 39:59What's her name? What's?
- 40:00Her name? China.
- 40:02Oh, Kim. China.
- 40:03So no, I'm gonna tell you some real stuff.
- 40:05So they were like, well. Why are you considered?
- 40:08They they said, why are you considered a baby Mama, but they
- 40:11not considered baby Mamas because they stick together.
- 40:13See, The thing is that with me, I know how to get money.
- 40:16I know how to get do businesses, but sometimes I got to be on a
- 40:19hush status, but I got to put myself out there and I have to
- 40:22let people know that I'm great. So when I put all these
- 40:25different businesses out there, they like, well, Casey, you were
- 40:27doing this, this and that. I'm still doing this, this and
- 40:29that, but it looks like I'm all over the place.
- 40:31And it's not because you got Kardashian, you got all these
- 40:34other people. They do multiple things too.
- 40:38They just don't have to put it out there, you know, I'm saying
- 40:41so I'm like, wow, it I questioned it at first, but no,
- 40:45I'm OK. I'm OK being able to be the
- 40:48woman of all Jack of all trades. I I I agree.
- 40:52With you I'm so KKK logistics hot dog queen LA credit girl
- 40:57Plus is a is a Jack of all traits.
- 41:00That's what I am. I I I agree.
- 41:02With you on that aspect because even just me being retired from
- 41:05the military and and taking on different aspects of my life,
- 41:09people say man you all like you all over the place.
- 41:11You got 5 talk shows and you doing this sickle cell and
- 41:14basketball. I said everything that I speak
- 41:17from is from my life. So it's not, I'm not doing
- 41:19nothing that's out of the ordinary that I got to figure
- 41:22out how to have a conversation about.
- 41:24It's all tied to the different aspects of who Ferron is as a
- 41:27person and in my experiences. So it's not a lot for me.
- 41:31It's just what hat do I put on in in the conversation that
- 41:34we're having. So I appreciate you for saying
- 41:35that because some people, I don't know what they, what they
- 41:38see in that as As for themselves probably.
- 41:41I'm gonna say this right now. For my boy Dre to sit here and
- 41:46have respect for me to be a black woman sitting on in
- 41:48California on a hot dog cart in the streets, not embarrassed
- 41:53about nothing, knowing that 3-4 years later I had 6 figures in
- 41:58my account. I had three brick mortars and
- 42:01all. I had all that, but I'm so quick
- 42:03to be like, you know what? It ain't working out so I can
- 42:05move a different way. I don't, I don't let the
- 42:08government, I don't let people dictate what God has for me.
- 42:12If he say this is your purpose, this is your purpose.
- 42:15Unfortunately, we have social media that makes it seem like,
- 42:18oh, you got too much going on. No, if you sit here and you
- 42:22listen to a billionaire, he going to tell you they didn't
- 42:25become a billionaire when they was in their 20s.
- 42:28They became being there through all their losses.
- 42:30Don't nobody talk about their losses.
- 42:33Well, yeah, because the losses are going to reflect if if
- 42:36you're not, I don't want to just say emotionally strength, but if
- 42:42you're dealing with shame and embarrassment and disappointment
- 42:44and that's what you live from, then of course you're not going
- 42:47to want to have a, you know, take on different things like
- 42:49that in the world because of those kind of even decision.
- 42:52We had a talk show yesterday. The team were talking about
- 42:54decisions and sometimes people get stuck because of the
- 42:58unforeseen consequences of the decisions that they made.
- 43:00And now they want to make no more decisions because they're
- 43:02still dealing with past experiences.
- 43:04So for you, Kay. Can I?
- 43:07Just how did y'all become who y'all are today?
- 43:13I got, I'm in, I'm in front of you on the radio on this talk
- 43:17show right now out of depression and anxiety and suicide
- 43:20ideation. That's where I was in the space
- 43:24that my military career was over and I made it mean my life was
- 43:27over because my identity was trapped in that camouflage for
- 43:31all those years. And God, again, God showed me
- 43:34that that inherited gene that I gave you that almost killed you.
- 43:38That's actually what your voice is while you're here to deliver
- 43:41that message. And so I found a whole nother
- 43:43world of 300 million people plus with sickle cell trade.
- 43:47So I go from serving this country to not serving the
- 43:49community of people. And I have a voice in that
- 43:51community and my experience. And then that just unraveled all
- 43:55the other seeds and flowers and trees seeds that was implanted
- 44:00to me in my mother's wilderness. So now I get to talk about those
- 44:03different categories. I'm especially reconciliation
- 44:05and self forgiveness because that's a human being
- 44:08conversation. A lot of us are just dealing
- 44:11with our families, but we really are upset with ourself of of how
- 44:15we think we should have been raised in time, brought up and,
- 44:18and and and blame our parents for our our life not working
- 44:21out. You said you said it's a human
- 44:23being conversation. What are we?
- 44:25We're human beings, but a lot of people don't think that they're
- 44:28they're, they think they're the other.
- 44:30And so they don't associate or relate to us as people because
- 44:33they, the way that we talk and label one another.
- 44:36If I'm black and you're Mexican, I, I, I talk to you like a
- 44:39other. So it disconnects us as that
- 44:41human relationship, that human connection.
- 44:44So that's why I say as as human beings, we all deal with
- 44:47something. You said this is you said this
- 44:49is swag, right? Yeah.
- 44:53OK. So.
- 44:55The, the, the reason why I said, what are we is because instead
- 44:59of losing yourself in a government in which society
- 45:01wants you to be, be true to yourself, there's somebody out
- 45:04there that feel the same way you feel.
- 45:06And the reason why I said, why are you here now is because all
- 45:10the things that you've been through, and I know, I know it
- 45:11wasn't perfect, but everything you've been through has built
- 45:14you and made the strength that you have within yourself.
- 45:17So that's what I'm saying. Like at first I was questioning
- 45:20because everybody has something to say, the same people that
- 45:22have something to say about, well, why are you doing this?
- 45:24Why are you doing that? But you ain't even doing it.
- 45:26Right, right, right. And because as, as it says and,
- 45:31and I'm gonna go back to what you were saying, Mexicans and
- 45:33black as black people, it was kind of like I would, I use the
- 45:36Kardashian 'cause I was the last.
- 45:38Hello. Interview I heard when when you
- 45:41know, trying to say it because they stick together.
- 45:43That's why they're not considered baby Mamas.
- 45:46So the thing about it is I'm a stick with you.
- 45:48The reason why he's where he's at is because he went through
- 45:51trauma. He as a black man didn't have a
- 45:53he couldn't talk to nobody about his story.
- 45:56So he decided to like get a podcast and live through certain
- 45:59people. But what you need to do is speak
- 46:01your truth, because there are people like me.
- 46:04Right. Or Drago, because I'm getting
- 46:06spiritual. He got out the car and got lost
- 46:11signal. But no for real, for real like
- 46:13you, you, you got to speak the truth because it's people like
- 46:16you, the people that have been through the army people.
- 46:19Let me let me give you another example.
- 46:21My son is 20 years old. And then you see that girl like
- 46:24I. Got scared.
- 46:26Huh. You got scared.
- 46:31He's over there. No, I think that's the same
- 46:33thing I was going through. I was going in and out.
- 46:34So my son is a black man who is 19, about to be 20 years old.
- 46:39And when I sit here and say, you know, when women say it ain't no
- 46:42good man, I sit there and observe my son.
- 46:44My son is the most amazing man. But you know what, man?
- 46:48I can feel like if he does change, it's not because he
- 46:51didn't have a great mother. It's because the choices of
- 46:53women he chose, that's what made him decide that.
- 46:56You know what? I might be that player.
- 46:58I might be that disconnected emotional person because you
- 47:02don't understand that I'm showing you the love because
- 47:05today's society it ain't love no more.
- 47:07So when a female do find a man that's a good man, I'm sorry.
- 47:10I know we supposed to be talking about women and empower.
- 47:12You black. People to understand this too,
- 47:14because I have a son. When you, when you have a, you
- 47:18have a, a man, especially a black man who goes through so
- 47:22much mental trauma and there's nobody to talk to, you figure it
- 47:26out on your own. So now I'm talking to him, but
- 47:29I'm trying not to be too strong because it comes off too
- 47:32aggressive. And right now he's delicate.
- 47:34And I say to your, I just say, we need to change this, this
- 47:38whole thing. We need to change how the world
- 47:41is today. Forget what Donald Trump talking
- 47:43about, forget what anybody is talking about.
- 47:46True to yourself spiritually. That's the reason why a lot of
- 47:49us are not connected, because we're not spiritually connected.
- 47:51What we're doing is we're getting on social media trying
- 47:53to be somebody we're not. We're trying to be like the next
- 47:56person. I've been through so much
- 47:57through business, but one thing is that I can still go out in
- 48:01the street and be proud to be out on the street selling hot
- 48:03dogs. I can still get in the truck and
- 48:05roll and get dirty, get my hands dirty.
- 48:06I can still sit here and make 6 figure and be true to myself and
- 48:10love everybody equally. Yeah, for, for you, when we talk
- 48:15about that human being and, and that spiritual context, it takes
- 48:19a lot of courage. It takes a lot of confidence.
- 48:22Like what did you, what did you see that you had as such an
- 48:26early age growing up that gave you that kind of mindset or, or
- 48:31mental toughness? That'd be like, you know what, I
- 48:33could do whatever I want. Like not everybody has that.
- 48:36We we all have it in this. But sometimes those environments
- 48:40fractures, things that happen that we think happened to us
- 48:43that you know. Taking time to taking time to to
- 48:48evaluate yourself because sometimes I will sit here and
- 48:52think to myself that I will go all my way, but people will be
- 48:55saying you wrong for this, Kishu.
- 48:57And then when I really thought about it, I was like, when I
- 49:00didn't do anything that hurt nobody.
- 49:01My intention was so pure. Me knowing because some other
- 49:05people think their intentions are good, but you know when the
- 49:07devil's playing his position and I said my intentions are so
- 49:10good. Even in relationships I can sit
- 49:12here and say that I'm perfect. But what happened was I had God
- 49:18sending good people in my life. Unfortunately with men, y'all
- 49:22don't have nobody to talk to. So when y'all go through these
- 49:25emotional battles, what happens is that y'all look for the
- 49:28homie. He no good advice because he
- 49:33damaged he's like instead of sitting here and saying that you
- 49:37like like the other day, my son, I'm going to tell you some real
- 49:40stuff. My son talked to me.
- 49:41He probably on my my, my thing if he'd follow me.
- 49:44He said to me, he's like mom, I told this girl that, you know, I
- 49:48wanted more affection and she was like getting mad at me.
- 49:51And I said, but she's mad at you.
- 49:54When you decided to take another female to home because you want
- 49:59to make sure she was safe. His intention wasn't that he
- 50:01want to have sex with her. He want to make sure she's safe,
- 50:03right? Why is it OK for her to get
- 50:06upset and say that you're wrong for taking a female home?
- 50:09And then you try to make it right.
- 50:11But when you ask for a little thing about, hey, can I get some
- 50:13infection, you make it angry. Said you're not wrong.
- 50:15I said she got something stuff, something going on.
- 50:18Yeah. So with men, men have to
- 50:20understand that you women need to take accountability.
- 50:26Women they need to take. I know this became a
- 50:29relationship show when it's supposed to be no.
- 50:31You good You, no. You good.
- 50:33You no. This is this is whatever you
- 50:36wanted to talk about. I'm gonna say I'm gonna keep it.
- 50:39Women need to take accountability for what they do
- 50:42because it's not. So you got to understand that
- 50:45women are being raised by women who are strong.
- 50:47And it because it goes all the way down to when the white man
- 50:50decided to take the black man out the home.
- 50:52And then when they had to do everything, it became strength.
- 50:56So now you got these men who feel like, OK, I'm being raised
- 51:00by a woman. You can't knock the man that
- 51:02he's all spoiled and sensitive. Because when you do have a man
- 51:04that you can take advantage of as far as like control, now you
- 51:09spoiling him. You got to show that man how to
- 51:11be a man. So when things are hard, like
- 51:13meaning like when she ain't got it, he got it.
- 51:15When he ain't got it, she got it.
- 51:16Become a team player instead of sitting here as black people
- 51:19pointing fingers and stuff like that.
- 51:21So what I tell my son is, is like, you know, it's OK for you
- 51:25to want to date Spanish girls because I'm not the one that's
- 51:28going to sit here and tell him that he can't love.
- 51:31Because at the end of the day, when your spirit is strong, it
- 51:34don't matter what color you are. So I said, if you do love a
- 51:38Spanish woman, make sure you love her spirit.
- 51:41You make sure she's what you want spiritually.
- 51:44Because at the end of the day, you got crazy Mexicans, you got
- 51:47crazy black girls and you got crazy white girls.
- 51:52So at the end of the day, yeah. No one, no one escapes it.
- 51:57No one escapes it. And I appreciate you especially,
- 51:59you know, you come in from the mother's perspective, right?
- 52:02And and what I what I don't like and what I appreciate about what
- 52:05you've said so far is sometimes men try to speak for the woman's
- 52:12perspective or they try to use a celebrity to speak for, for a
- 52:16community of people. But when it comes from a mother,
- 52:19like true mother, a conversation, it hits different
- 52:24when, when you speaking from that.
- 52:26And that's, and that's what I believe.
- 52:27That's why the, you know, some podcasters are, are not good
- 52:31because it depends on what they're doing it for.
- 52:33But they're easy. Like you said, for men.
- 52:36We definitely need a space to talk because we suffer in
- 52:39silence. We know that we suffer in
- 52:40silence. I know that I did.
- 52:42And now to come out of that, I'm like, we ain't got to.
- 52:45I was 40 years old, though. Why do I have to wait till 40 to
- 52:49start to soul search and spiritual search when I could
- 52:52have took and taken that on 89101112 years old if somebody
- 52:57would have you know? 'Cause you could you because you
- 53:00ate, because you ate the apple. No, I mean, we don't really.
- 53:07We don't understand. But you know, 'cause I because
- 53:10he ate the apple. No, the reason why I say that is
- 53:13because. OK, so I don't.
- 53:14I only have a son and I'm. I'm I got scared.
- 53:18You got so. So what I realized is today's
- 53:21world is because now they got social media, right?
- 53:24So they have females that they represent other women saying
- 53:28that, oh, I'm a strong black woman, I could do it myself.
- 53:30No, you can't. No, you can't.
- 53:32OK, yeah, you might get the money, but at the same time, you
- 53:36need that balance of a man that could teach a man how to be a
- 53:38man. I can't sit here and beat up my
- 53:40son and say you gonna be tough. If anything, he's going to be
- 53:44traumatized because he's been beat by his mom.
- 53:46So what are you he going to do? He going to be like, I'd rather
- 53:48go to a white girl in Mexico because I've been beat up by my
- 53:50black Mama. Right, I'm trying to tell you if
- 53:55if we understand child. Development.
- 53:59All of that stuff when I when I when I thought my Mama abandoned
- 54:02me at 8 years old, I didn't know that she was going to represent
- 54:04all women from a from a 8 year old decision.
- 54:08So you're absolutely correct that sometimes as that parent,
- 54:11even as a father, we could be too hard as a father.
- 54:14Or Bridget. Push that child away and now
- 54:18he's he's running to his coach or he's running to somebody
- 54:21else. And but, but the father's like,
- 54:23where's my son? I'm.
- 54:25Going to be like, go ahead, can I get deep?
- 54:28Can I get deep into that? Go.
- 54:31Ahead or let me let me let. Drake say what he got to say,
- 54:35because I'm going to say some real stuff on that part.
- 54:37I'm listening, Dre. Dre, Dre, Frozen.
- 54:42OK, so I'm going to say what I have to say.
- 54:45Dre. Oh, he keep Dre need to go back
- 54:47on this Internet. So.
- 54:49So you want to can I speak the truth?
- 54:51Of course. You sure?
- 54:58You got it. OK, so in that category, This is
- 55:02why I said I could never be a counselor or a therapist because
- 55:05I, I, I'm spiritually connected in a weird way.
- 55:08And that's why even with business, like when people say,
- 55:11hey, why your training class is so cheap, because I'm
- 55:13spiritually connected. Knowing that you may be a single
- 55:15mom, single dad, somebody that ain't kind of they ain't got
- 55:17finances. So I'm not going to try to get
- 55:19rich off of you. I got to sleep at night.
- 55:21But I'm going to tell you that the other part of when you are a
- 55:25woman, especially if you are a woman.
- 55:28After all these men were taken out of the home and then finally
- 55:33a boy does get attention from a man sometimes as a young boy.
- 55:38They don't know if it's supposed to be a Big Brother attention or
- 55:44a love, right? So the so they start getting
- 55:47confusing because, and I know I don't want to make this a
- 55:51sensitive topic, but I'm you said I could be open.
- 55:55I think what happens is that as black men, we're already going
- 56:00through mental being effed up, right?
- 56:03And then when you do have someone you can look up to, you
- 56:05have these pedophilers who will take advantage of someone who
- 56:10who needs that father figure. And then it becomes, it becomes
- 56:14a sexual situation. But what happens is that now the
- 56:17child is confused because they're like, well, I want to
- 56:19love on this man, but in my right to love on a man and be in
- 56:23love with this man. You can be in love with your
- 56:25father, you can be in love with your best friend.
- 56:27You can be in love with your your uncles without it being
- 56:30sexual. But see what happens if we live
- 56:32in a world now is that they make sex before true love more
- 56:38important. You get what I'm saying?
- 56:39So what happens is. I said, Oh yeah.
- 56:43Yeah, so So what happens is that all this confusion happens and
- 56:47stuff like that. And then these boys who's
- 56:50looking for the homie, looking for the, the, the, the, the,
- 56:53the, the, the, the uncle, the father and stuff like that.
- 56:55And then they become vulnerable and it becomes more than what it
- 57:00is. And now the the, the the the
- 57:03older person is taking advantage and you're taking that persons
- 57:06innocence because that child has not developed.
- 57:08This child is still trying to. I ain't going to lie, even when
- 57:11I was what, 11-12 years old, never thought about being gay,
- 57:16but when I was getting dog dogged out by guys, I was like,
- 57:19well, I'm gonna be with a girl. Never been with one, but just
- 57:22thought of even having that was like, what am I doing?
- 57:25Good God bless me to say I would never, I've never been with a
- 57:27woman. But I'm just saying that when as
- 57:29a child you're confused. So if as men you're already
- 57:33going through confusion of not having a father or the proper
- 57:36father figure, and even if you do have a father figure, you got
- 57:41to hope he's alpha beta. People understand it's good to
- 57:44be alpha beta. Don't just be one or the other,
- 57:47be both. Because be that strong, man, but
- 57:49be emotionally intelligent at the same time.
- 57:52See what you're saying again, I'm, I'm 55 years old now and I
- 57:56got three daughters, 2 grandchildren as dark girls and
- 57:59the grandson and even spiritually, biblically, the
- 58:03Bible says that the, the father is the one that has the
- 58:06compassion, not, not the mother, it's the father that's the one
- 58:09that's supposed to be compassionate to their children.
- 58:11So you, I mean, you're right. And, and the downside of that,
- 58:14again, as you're saying, the, the emotional fractures of
- 58:19upbringings and the vulnerability of that child, the
- 58:23innocence, as you pointed to the innocence.
- 58:26That's why we can go back and teach these children how to have
- 58:29the self esteem, self love, self affirmation within themselves so
- 58:34they don't have to be susceptible to the predators and
- 58:36the gangs and all the other stuff that's going to come up if
- 58:39they have the knowledge and understanding and the place to
- 58:41express how they're feeling. And a lot of times when you
- 58:44don't have that parent or you have the parents, you still have
- 58:48to have that connection back to that parent.
- 58:51And it depends on how that parent was raised as a child.
- 58:54Then I'm the parent and you're the child.
- 58:55So it's a one way direction conversation.
- 58:58So then I don't get to say what I need to say to you, because
- 59:01every time I try to talk to you, you tell me to get out of here.
- 59:04And remember, people express themselves through trauma.
- 59:10So if that parent like say that that parent has been touched or
- 59:14did anything. So when that child is trying to
- 59:16express themselves or saying something happened before
- 59:18looking at the whole situation, they're going to reflect on what
- 59:20they've been through and then it's going to come off very
- 59:23light. You know, So that's where when
- 59:25back in the days, because I'm like, I think I'm like the last
- 59:27of the Mohicans, the last aunties, we had a group like in
- 59:33the neighborhood, we knew who the neighbors were.
- 59:35We had multiple people raising us.
- 59:38And on top of that, we didn't live in fear, right?
- 59:41But we didn't have social media where we thought I could see
- 59:43here. When I look back as a kid, yeah,
- 59:45I was walking down the street, people, men were rolling up on
- 59:47me and stuff like that. But I didn't think nothing of
- 59:49it. I'm like, oh, you're perfect.
- 59:50Let me hurry up and run home. But now it's like you didn't
- 59:55welcome the devil in your home. Because if you get these kids on
- 59:57social media, these predators and these the devils coming
- 1:00:01through, coming to your home. And how do we control that?
- 1:00:05You hear what I'm saying. So that's why I said, you know,
- 1:00:08when I try to have a communication with my son,
- 1:00:10because communication is very communication is very important
- 1:00:14in relationships, son and mother, father, daughter
- 1:00:18relationships, everything communicate because you don't
- 1:00:21know what that person is thinking and why they think that
- 1:00:23way. And so when you're sitting here,
- 1:00:24say the confusion, that's where you bring your child around
- 1:00:28different people. And hopefully that it's a safe
- 1:00:30space for everybody that you bring your child around, because
- 1:00:33the mind of a child is very delicate.
- 1:00:35Because I've, I've read things and it's so sad because I've
- 1:00:39been on social media where I'm not going to say is new to the,
- 1:00:43the, the, the homosexual thing is new, but some of these people
- 1:00:47are only doing it because of social media.
- 1:00:50Get what I'm saying? Some people are only being gay
- 1:00:53for pay. Some people are only being gay
- 1:00:56because they got they, they open up Pandora's box.
- 1:00:59Some people are just mentally effed up because when you go to
- 1:01:03jail, they have conditioned your mind to say this is what it is.
- 1:01:07And genuinely they don't want to be that way.
- 1:01:09They know it's not right. But you locked up for 30-40
- 1:01:12fifty years, you go pretend like, OK, I'm a I'm a I'm a fake
- 1:01:16my mind and make it seem like this is a woman.
- 1:01:18And then when I get back in real world, I'm going to act like
- 1:01:22nothing happened. You get what I'm saying?
- 1:01:25And So what I with all that said, is that we got to start
- 1:01:29communicating and being OK to make it for a man a safe place
- 1:01:35and not be judgmental as a within our own community.
- 1:01:40Yeah, everything, everything you said for me is, is exactly where
- 1:01:43I, I had to get to to the point where I understand and relate to
- 1:01:49you because I had to go through my own healing process.
- 1:01:52And it wasn't until, like I said, 40 where I had an
- 1:01:56opportunity to start to work on that after I wanted to complete
- 1:02:00my life. But then I got my life back
- 1:02:01because I put myself in conversations and curriculums
- 1:02:04and education that taught me how to, Hey, you don't have that
- 1:02:08voice in your head is not you. That's not, that's, that's your
- 1:02:12subconscious mind, that's your brain.
- 1:02:13That's what your brain is designed to survive.
- 1:02:16But if you got, if you're not aware of that, I responded how I
- 1:02:19felt and, and what my mind said was, was OK, I, I better, I
- 1:02:24better go do this then. But I never knew that I could
- 1:02:26question even my own thoughts. And that's the reason why listen
- 1:02:32to this guy name his, his name is Joe Dispenza.
- 1:02:36He talks about the power of the mind.
- 1:02:38We live in a subconscious mind because it's it's almost like
- 1:02:41comfort. Subconscious mind is comfort.
- 1:02:44You can see here, you ever thought about when you were
- 1:02:46driving somewhere in space? If you're intoxicated, you're
- 1:02:48like, how did I make it home? Because the subconscious mind
- 1:02:51guides you. So when you use your conscious
- 1:02:55mind, it becomes work. That's just like me saying, OK,
- 1:02:59I'm a go to the gym and I'm a stay consistent.
- 1:03:01But you got to consciously tell yourself I'm going to the gym.
- 1:03:04You got to consciously tell your mind that this is what I need to
- 1:03:08do. But when it becomes work because
- 1:03:11the mind is a muscle, people fall off.
- 1:03:15I'm sorry. No, it's and, but again, if if
- 1:03:20we go back spiritually, then that's what that's what Christ
- 1:03:22has taught is, has taught us. You have to renew your mind.
- 1:03:25You have to change the way that you think.
- 1:03:26At some point you got to change the way you think because how
- 1:03:30you've been thinking again was it might be corrupted.
- 1:03:33It might not be, it might be your truth, but it might not be
- 1:03:36the truth. And, and when I went at 40 years
- 1:03:39old to go to my parents, to ask my parents to forgive me for my
- 1:03:42behavior toward them, they was like what I'm like, yeah.
- 1:03:46I realized at some point I have to take responsibility for my
- 1:03:48own life and I thank you because actually you did the best you
- 1:03:52could with what you had. And then I look back at how old
- 1:03:56I was. I'm like, well, a child at 8
- 1:03:58years old has no concept of time.
- 1:04:00A5 year old has no understanding what is being adult.
- 1:04:03But the brain is developing and giving meaning to life as such
- 1:04:06at those young ages that if we as parents don't know that and
- 1:04:10put the as much truth as we can into that child at those young
- 1:04:14ages, my mind's going to go back to what I remember.
- 1:04:17And if it's not, if I made it up and that's my truth now, but if
- 1:04:21you tell me, hey, you know what? This is what's going on with the
- 1:04:23marriage for wrong. This is why your dad can't come
- 1:04:26and see you right now at at the age appropriate for that child,
- 1:04:29then I'm always going to remember why my dad's not
- 1:04:31around. Not because he doesn't love me,
- 1:04:34not because he doesn't love me, but because, oh, there was a
- 1:04:36conversation that y'all had that he can't see me right now
- 1:04:38because he got to go deal with something with his own life
- 1:04:41right now. That would be a.
- 1:04:42That's a different space to grow up in.
- 1:04:46It's so crazy you when you said that I'm not not to cut you off
- 1:04:49when you said that. It was when my son's father had
- 1:04:52got locked up because of something he did.
- 1:04:53He got deported and I didn't want to tell my son the truth
- 1:04:58because I felt like it would hurt him.
- 1:05:00Someone told me, I don't know where was like you got to tell
- 1:05:02him the truth because then if you lie to him, he feel like
- 1:05:04it's OK to lie. So I had to be honest with him.
- 1:05:07It hurt me. But sometimes the hurt and
- 1:05:10comfort is what kind of opens to it frees you from the the the
- 1:05:15what is it the they call it the the curse, almost.
- 1:05:20You free. Yeah, you free.
- 1:05:22It frees you. And then because the child could
- 1:05:24grow up to be mad at you because you lied at him, now he don't
- 1:05:26want to talk to you no more. And then he's mad at whatever
- 1:05:29happened with his dad. It's like, like I said, and we
- 1:05:32don't. Not that we don't, but.
- 1:05:34We think we're, we think we're protecting the child, but we
- 1:05:37have to. We're we're, we're not just
- 1:05:39protecting the child, we're protecting ourselves kinda
- 1:05:41because we felt like if we feel this way, they may feel, feel
- 1:05:44that way and maybe it's not the truth.
- 1:05:46And it's not the truth. So, so us as adults, right, who
- 1:05:50are now 55 and 60 and 70, how much of that do we have to go
- 1:05:54back and, and figure out in our own adult life now, right?
- 1:05:59And, and now you got to be able to tell the truth to yourself at
- 1:06:03again, I say at 40, it was challenging to have to go back
- 1:06:06and look in time and realize that some of the stuff that I
- 1:06:08made-up, that wasn't the truth about my parents or my, or
- 1:06:11myself even now you got to go through that process.
- 1:06:15And can I tell you too that, you know, we change as people.
- 1:06:19So the same story that you told at 8 years old ain't the same
- 1:06:22story you told at 15 and or 20. That's why I said, yeah, whoever
- 1:06:26on here, y'all need to follow Joe Dispenza because it talks
- 1:06:29about that, that you not the same person you was 10 years
- 1:06:32ago. So what you're saying is the
- 1:06:34truth. You have to be real with
- 1:06:37yourself. And hey, hey.
- 1:06:42Baby. Hey, hey wifey, did you got to
- 1:06:47get everything together? Yes, I did.
- 1:06:51OK, OK, see, that's why you need a woman in your life 'cause
- 1:06:53she's gonna, she's gonna figure it out.
- 1:06:54She's gonna figure it out. But no, like you got to be.
- 1:06:58You got to be mad with. Yourself.
- 1:06:59Yes, yes, yes. Well, let me not, let me not
- 1:07:02talk too much this we got that. This is on the line anything.
- 1:07:07You anything you heard that you want to do, you want to chime in
- 1:07:09on. Oh my, and do I want to chime in
- 1:07:14please? Please.
- 1:07:16I think I think I need to keep quiet, but I really want to
- 1:07:19chime in on is that thing about being locked up for 30 or 40
- 1:07:23years? I just want to add to that and
- 1:07:26kind of take away from it. When I say take away from it, I
- 1:07:29mean step back because we got we got young men or young boys on
- 1:07:36in the world that are that are seeing black boys get killed in
- 1:07:43the world. And as quiet as it's kept when
- 1:07:45the mind is meant to survive. That's why we have so many boys
- 1:07:49decide to carry a purse or think that they are girl and switch
- 1:07:53because what they're seeing is black women are surviving and
- 1:07:57not getting my goodness. I'm just saying because the mind
- 1:08:02is meant to survive, so that it doesn't, it doesn't happen.
- 1:08:08Wait, you didn't wait a minute, you didn't shook the table, but.
- 1:08:10I'm well, no, but but you don't we we because but look, but
- 1:08:13look. So let's, let's let's put it on
- 1:08:15the table. Look at what the movies are
- 1:08:17doing. The movies are making it OK for
- 1:08:20celebrities to play women to play these roles now.
- 1:08:24So it's becoming OK. Well, then I could pretend too,
- 1:08:27right? And.
- 1:08:29Then hey, I'm gonna take you back.
- 1:08:32I told I told someone if if they could.
- 1:08:34If I have to ask you what your pronouns is, then you should ask
- 1:08:37me how tall I am because I'm 6 feet.
- 1:08:42Look, look, I'm gonna say this society has made it so scary to
- 1:08:49even want to speak about this because when my son was young,
- 1:08:53he was like, yeah, I love my homeboy.
- 1:08:55And I was like, you love your humble side.
- 1:08:58The time I think like, what's going on?
- 1:09:00And then he had to figure it out.
- 1:09:02He's like, no, I'm not like that.
- 1:09:04He was all like, because they say that if you dislike that,
- 1:09:08then you will be hateful. And my son is not a hateful
- 1:09:12person. So in his head, he's like, if I
- 1:09:14dislike them, that means that I'm a bad person, right?
- 1:09:18It's almost from black manipulation.
- 1:09:20You get what I'm saying? Especially when you're young.
- 1:09:22And so when she was saying what she was saying and stuff, I was
- 1:09:24just like, it was deep. It was deep.
- 1:09:28I don't even know how we got from women empowerment, but this
- 1:09:30is something that needs to be talked about because what
- 1:09:32happens is when you want to speak your truth, especially
- 1:09:36when wrong is wrong In your eyes.
- 1:09:38I have the right to speak my truth and not be muted.
- 1:09:41You get what I'm saying? So why is it that I have to
- 1:09:44accept certain things and take it in and then when you do
- 1:09:47something, it's like I'm being, I'm, I'm racist, I'm
- 1:09:51discriminating on this. I'm not it's not that.
- 1:09:54It's just I choose not to live. I'm good, not I respect it.
- 1:09:58I I just feel like back in the days when we were kids, I didn't
- 1:10:03know how Lucy and Ricky made a baby.
- 1:10:06I didn't know they have separate.
- 1:10:07Beds and stuff and all of a sudden Ricky came out of
- 1:10:09nowhere. So what I'm saying is that you
- 1:10:12can do you, but you don't have to force it on us.
- 1:10:16Well, the. Thing about it is, well, the
- 1:10:18thing about it is what they're not Speaking of is it's an
- 1:10:22alternative lifestyle. So alternative to what?
- 1:10:26And how did it become alternative?
- 1:10:28And why are you alternative? Because you truly are not have
- 1:10:31not healed from your childhood for you.
- 1:10:33So you start looking for something alternative.
- 1:10:36So let's be let's deal with that.
- 1:10:38So that deals with that. And that goes back to what she
- 1:10:42was saying about follow up. You need to find out and heal
- 1:10:46your wounds, whether they're young, old, jail, whatever it
- 1:10:52is, those wounds need to heal because I truly can honestly
- 1:10:56stand here and sit. I'm so I'm sitting sit here and
- 1:10:59say I'm a different woman than I was 30 years ago.
- 1:11:03I'm 57 and I'm a whole nother woman.
- 1:11:05I feel a whole nother way that I, I man, I can't even because
- 1:11:11those wounds were healed though my daddy came back and healed my
- 1:11:16wounds and made sure that I was a whole person because I was
- 1:11:20operating from 1/2 person. Now I'm operating from a whole
- 1:11:23person. So I see things totally
- 1:11:26different and I'm in. I'm all for arranged marriages
- 1:11:30at this point in my life and I understand.
- 1:11:32I'm just saying, I'm like, I just evolved to something to I
- 1:11:37can't even believe that I evolved to this because I was
- 1:11:40all about, Hey, Dee, I'm doing I'm an independent and and it's
- 1:11:45just it's not the same, but you definitely should enjoy life and
- 1:11:51you definitely should be encouraged to to pay attention.
- 1:11:58So let me let me ask this as as the male and I, I don't think
- 1:12:01I've even asked my mom this question.
- 1:12:03So I want to ask you since since we're on this subject, why, why
- 1:12:06does it seem like women wear that single independent like a
- 1:12:12badge of honor when I I believe K you kind of mentioned it
- 1:12:15earlier that it's it's it's not a badge, but why, why is it
- 1:12:19portrayed? Why is it portrayed that like as
- 1:12:24a badge of honor? If I could language with that.
- 1:12:27I understand. When did, when, when did it not
- 1:12:29be OK to be a a wife and a mother?
- 1:12:32When did that all of a sudden become not OK?
- 1:12:35When did that not become enough just to be a mother and a wife?
- 1:12:39When did it? When did I have to make a
- 1:12:41paycheck? When people didn't appreciate me
- 1:12:44is when it didn't become OK to be a mother and a wife because
- 1:12:49it felt so much better to get a paycheck than it did to get a
- 1:12:53slap in the face because you didn't like the food that I fed
- 1:12:56you that night. So at the that's when it became
- 1:12:59not a badge of honor to be a husband, wife and and A and A
- 1:13:03and a mother because no one appreciated that.
- 1:13:07You know. Can I, can I pee back off on
- 1:13:10her? Go ahead.
- 1:13:12It became that way when you start competing with your mate.
- 1:13:17I'm like, I don't mind being the woman to if I if, if OK, say you
- 1:13:22ain't making the money because society said, OK, we not going
- 1:13:25to give you a job because you got a felony, blah, blah, blah.
- 1:13:27I don't mind doing that. But at the same time don't sit
- 1:13:30here and want me to follow you. But you doing all some like some
- 1:13:34some female stuff like you sitting there.
- 1:13:36Are you battling me when I'm sitting there?
- 1:13:37Like I didn't did I didn't take care of the kids, I didn't work,
- 1:13:40I didn't did this and you don't even know how to be emotionally
- 1:13:43intelligent for me. So now once again I'm in
- 1:13:46survival mode. I'm thinking I got to do
- 1:13:48everything. So internally I'm like, I love
- 1:13:52cooking for my man, I love being the wife.
- 1:13:56But then it's scary because like she said, the wrong person will
- 1:14:00take advantage and then the right person that may come
- 1:14:03around, I don't even know if he right or wrong 'cause I didn't
- 1:14:0680% of the time people didn't take advantage of my kindness
- 1:14:10And I'm strong. I know I'm strong, but at the
- 1:14:13same time I get tired of being strong.
- 1:14:15I don't want to be strong. Can can I just be accepted and
- 1:14:19appreciated? I don't need to be strong.
- 1:14:22I don't need to be strong. I just need to be appreciated.
- 1:14:25And I and I depend on your check and my check.
- 1:14:29I don't need to be interdependent.
- 1:14:30I'm a dependent. I I I found my piece in that
- 1:14:34conversation. Ring ringer here.
- 1:14:37Because of my grandparents, because I, I was raised with
- 1:14:41them for the, from 2 to 8 years old, right?
- 1:14:44So I have a little bit of that old school and I have a little
- 1:14:46bit of the, of the current version, right?
- 1:14:48But what I, what I saw when I look back in time, World War 2
- 1:14:54changed a lot because women came out to help build equipment and
- 1:14:59they were making tents, they were building bullets.
- 1:15:02And, and for, for, for us as the military mindset, we look at
- 1:15:06that era as is where the women went into the workforce, right?
- 1:15:10A lot of men were killed during that time.
- 1:15:11And so now women became, they say, bringing home the bacon.
- 1:15:16And then now she's got her own house and own property and own
- 1:15:18car. And then the men now are like,
- 1:15:20well then what do I who? What do I do?
- 1:15:23Now, friend, This is why I told you it don't it didn't you?
- 1:15:28If I'm born, if I'm born, I'm not born ghetto.
- 1:15:31I'm not born, I'm not born nothing.
- 1:15:34It's just it's it's the environment that I'm put in.
- 1:15:37So think about it like this. If you know, first you got the
- 1:15:42man. If you got a felony, you can't
- 1:15:43work. Then you got the women on the
- 1:15:45county. You can't have a man in the
- 1:15:46house. At all.
- 1:15:48At all. Like.
- 1:15:49They, they changed that. Wait, wait.
- 1:15:52I just want to say they, they've changed that within the last 20
- 1:15:55years. That's changed.
- 1:15:57Well, you have them in and out the.
- 1:15:59The whole family can be on the county now.
- 1:16:03But no, I mean, can you get that?
- 1:16:05No, I. Don't no.
- 1:16:06The whole family, the husband, the wife, the children, the
- 1:16:09whole entire family. No, no, no.
- 1:16:12So you when was this? What part of the county though?
- 1:16:16Right, because all all parts of the county I.
- 1:16:20Am let me tell you, this friend when I was there was 5-6 years
- 1:16:25ago, my son got deported. They wanted his information.
- 1:16:28They was like, he cannot be in a home.
- 1:16:29He can't. This is that.
- 1:16:30This was five years ago. And I'm like, but he don't have
- 1:16:33a social. They was like, yeah, but we need
- 1:16:35his. We need some kind of contact
- 1:16:36because he needs to pay. They never allowed him to be in
- 1:16:39a home. They said it can only be you and
- 1:16:41your child. They wanted to know who's in the
- 1:16:42home or whatever. And even through the day, they
- 1:16:46lied to you. They lied to you.
- 1:16:48They changed the law and the whole family.
- 1:16:51You could have put him on your case and everybody could have
- 1:16:54been on the county on the case. It's your social worker, I
- 1:16:58promise. You anybody that's watching
- 1:17:03this, you hear what she says? Yeah, the whole, no, the whole
- 1:17:13entire family. Dre's son is a social worker.
- 1:17:17Now the whole family can be on. Section 8 and everything.
- 1:17:25The whole family. He want to be alive, he said.
- 1:17:34He's trying to say no because he be hating on my dog.
- 1:17:37Let me I'm gonna show you my dog right now.
- 1:17:39I'm gonna try to get him on the county too because he act like
- 1:17:42he just put the. Dog on, the county put him on.
- 1:17:56That. What's his name?
- 1:17:57His name is Bear. He just looked like a bear.
- 1:18:01He went he went to work with his dad.
- 1:18:03We we gonna get him a little uniform because you need to get
- 1:18:05a job, right? No, He gonna get claimed and all
- 1:18:11that shit. I'm gonna figure it out for
- 1:18:13real. No, I need to know that I didn't
- 1:18:15know that. I did not know that.
- 1:18:18We all need to figure that out because they still trying to
- 1:18:20play us right now. Don't think, don't think they
- 1:18:23don't do it when they have 13 dogs at the coffee shop with
- 1:18:26you. You trying to drink and eat your
- 1:18:27food. Serve, serve a dog.
- 1:18:29You know good Wayne, go serve a dog.
- 1:18:30Sit under you well. What I'm trying to figure out
- 1:18:32how to get $4000 worth of food stamps.
- 1:18:35OK, how about 13? 1000 That's because that's
- 1:18:39because I know somebody in there and they gave me extra. 13,000
- 1:18:46not. Me, not me.
- 1:18:47I'm just spent. 13,000 on on the food stamp and 4000 on the cash.
- 1:18:54Are you seeing you got to have 10 kids at least or something?
- 1:18:59She don't that we're doing. There's a street takeover on.
- 1:19:02There's a Strata St. takeover on here on the ON.
- 1:19:06The highway. Oh my God, Yeah.
- 1:19:08What happened? So they they had a woman in the
- 1:19:10store getting groceries and she left her receipt behind and A
- 1:19:14and a black girl got it who's a cashier.
- 1:19:16And so the woman left here. Armenian in a brand new
- 1:19:21Mercedes-Benz. She had 13,456 on her EBG stamp
- 1:19:26and 400,822 on her cash. Wow now you can feed a whole
- 1:19:33football team and $13,000 for a couple a couple of days.
- 1:19:37Football team according to football player.
- 1:19:39Wow 13,000 on on cash. Come on wait on on the full
- 1:19:42stamp. I wish I couldn't get 1000 a
- 1:19:44month for food stamps. Period.
- 1:19:49Now what you know is who you know.
- 1:19:52And Miss and Miss Dre, I know you.
- 1:20:01No, on the real day, no. The thing is that she is saying

- 1:22:52It threatens to drown us in our everyday lives.
- 1:22:55In battle, we had our weapons and combat gear to keep us safe,
- 1:22:59to keep us confident. But when we returned home, we
- 1:23:03were not armed with weapons and gear to cope with our own minds.
- 1:23:07I was lucky to find my combat gear, my mental weapon and it's
- 1:23:11called come ago. Komago is a drug free device

- 1:26:04We got link trees. If you want to go to a link tree
- 1:26:06and find out what I'm up to in the community over there, you
- 1:26:09can go there also. I'm Caldwell Williams,
- 1:26:14curricular trainer for LBI Solutions.
- 1:26:15A lot of things we've been talking about here around mental
- 1:26:18toughness and mental health. LBI Solutions is a program that
- 1:26:22Caldwell has been doing for six decades or plus.
- 1:26:28I met him as he was coming out of retirement at in his 80s to
- 1:26:32help veteran suicide. And so the journey that I've
- 1:26:35been on and the journey that he has been on, we crossed paths at
- 1:26:38A, at a veteran home that he was in and we've been, I've been
- 1:26:42working in for since 2018. I've learned this curriculum.
- 1:26:46So we're, we're, we're praying that he's 91 right now.
- 1:26:50So we're praying that we can get his education back into the
- 1:26:52school district as it was before and also as curriculum to help
- 1:26:56veteran suicide, youth suicide, a lot of things that we talk
- 1:27:00about, but you just can't talk from those things anymore.
- 1:27:03You got to be able to talk, talk about those things.
- 1:27:05And then we got to talk from those things, right?
- 1:27:07And that's some of the things that I've learned that how I got
- 1:27:09free from a lot of my past issues was I was willing to tell
- 1:27:13the truth. But you've got to be willing to
- 1:27:15look first though. A lot of people aren't willing
- 1:27:17to look in their life and tell the truth because there is an
- 1:27:21experience of pain because that subconscious mind, the
- 1:27:24subconscious mind is, I tell people today or even on social
- 1:27:27media, your biggest hater is your own subconscious mind.
- 1:27:30It's not people. It's how we talk to our self is
- 1:27:33what hurts us the most is how we talk to us.
- 1:27:36That internal dialogue is, is self loathing.
- 1:27:40It's it's, it's shame and it's embarrassment.
- 1:27:43It's disappointment about our self 1st.
- 1:27:45And when you can free your mind and tell the truth about where
- 1:27:49you are and how you thinking and where those thoughts are coming
- 1:27:51from. For us veterans, I recommend
- 1:27:53CBT, Cognitive behavior therapy was that I sit on the cake for
- 1:27:58me because it taught me how to grab those thoughts and put
- 1:28:01those in those curriculums and challenge how exaggerated my
- 1:28:05conversations was in my mind. Yes, sometimes we use the
- 1:28:08language all or none as exaggerated and it doesn't give
- 1:28:13us the space to say or think another way because our
- 1:28:17languages are trapped. So if you want support, if you
- 1:28:20want help, you got to be willing to 1st to tell the truth to
- 1:28:24yourself, to somebody, at least to yourself first.
- 1:28:27So there are conversations out there.
- 1:28:29We have those kind of talks. And so if you need information,
- 1:28:32you want to have a conversation with us at Faron Dossier, you
- 1:28:35can hit me up on social media, all platforms.
- 1:28:39All right, so let's get back to the conversation.
- 1:28:42We're going to wrap it up. We got about a couple more
- 1:28:43minutes. All right, How you doing?
- 1:28:45Miss K, how are you doing? Miss Howard, how are you?
- 1:28:48Hey, so I did want to get into more of the business part.
- 1:28:52I'm sorry I got into the mental part and everything.
- 1:28:57I just wanted you know you're not alone.
- 1:29:03Yeah, your your signal is it's a little choppy where you are
- 1:29:06right now. Let me see.
- 1:29:07Or about, you know, not giving up, especially in this economy.
- 1:29:13So hold on. Yeah, your signal.
- 1:29:17There it is. Can you see me?
- 1:29:18Yeah, that's better. Yeah, We can hear you.
- 1:29:23I can hear you. I can see you.
- 1:29:26Can you see me? Yes.
- 1:29:28OK, I can hear you now. OK.
- 1:29:31So yeah, just touch on your business.
- 1:29:32What do you want to say about about your logistics Business
- 1:29:37Today? OK, so I do want to share that,
- 1:29:41you know, I do more than just logistics.
- 1:29:43So I have my K freight logistics, which me and my
- 1:29:45spouse, we decided to go into a partnership.
- 1:29:47He's been driving trucks for 20 years.
- 1:29:50And so I had already got my broker's license in 2021, but
- 1:29:55now I'm going for my A license so we can work together as a
- 1:29:58team to get out on the road. Prior to that I did have my
- 1:30:02credit consulting office, which I credit consulting business,
- 1:30:05which I still do for the important people or for the
- 1:30:08people that are serious about the credit.
- 1:30:10And I got hot dog queen LA it's on pause, but it's still going
- 1:30:15to elevate because I did make a brand.
- 1:30:17So if you guys want to follow me three places y'all can follow
- 1:30:20me. You can follow me on Hot dog
- 1:30:23Queen LA how it's spelled or Kays KAYS Freight logistics.
- 1:30:33And then also too, I have I am credit girl plus, so I do
- 1:30:39multiple things. I let people know you can be
- 1:30:41great in everything you do. So don't feel like, oh, you got
- 1:30:45this business going on because once again, we live in an
- 1:30:48economy. You have to have multi, you have
- 1:30:50to have a lot of streams of income.
- 1:30:52It's not like back in the days when it was just something to
- 1:30:56do. Now it's a requirement to have a
- 1:30:59business on the side, so that's where I'm at.
- 1:31:03Appreciate that, appreciate that, appreciate that.
- 1:31:06Let me bring up Big Dre. Anything you want to say before
- 1:31:10we get out of here, Big Dre? I'm still beautiful, you know,
- 1:31:18the incredible things with this young lady and Beyoncé.
- 1:31:21We met her on Crenshaw making a famous hot dog with this cargo
- 1:31:25dog and tacos and everything else and.
- 1:31:28Y'all about that food? Yeah.
- 1:31:39Because wifey was doing the hot dog dance after she was in the
- 1:31:43middle of the. Street when you chasing
- 1:31:54yourself, you're going to be feeding too.
- 1:31:56But like New Jack City, you know what's going to happen, so get
- 1:32:00ready. For it, it's really good.
- 1:32:05And then you and and then then I got this ingredients that nobody
- 1:32:09know about. It's called love.
- 1:32:11Love. Love ingredients?
- 1:32:15You can't get it in no store. You in love, when you put that
- 1:32:19love in it, you taste it. You be like, yeah, I'm in love.
- 1:32:24That's exactly what I'm. Saying too what I want to tell
- 1:32:27you. I do want to give a shout out to
- 1:32:30my girl. She's about to get her
- 1:32:32doctorate, you know, at the university and operate.
- 1:32:36I'll get you graduate 1111 learn 11 learn and she going to be
- 1:32:40graduating so in April getting that doctorate.
- 1:32:43So I'm I'm proud of her and I'll be out of my honorary course,
- 1:32:47but we we we shot we we we very impressed with the things she
- 1:32:50doing, the trucking and the development she doing with the
- 1:32:53apartments and stuff. But she want to talk to UK about
- 1:32:56some stuff when y'all get a chance to talk off the thing, of
- 1:32:59course, and I'm sure one day we want to get the money up
- 1:33:01together. We end up owning one of those on
- 1:33:03Spanish eye basketball team 18 what we.
- 1:33:06Look. We look around, so that's
- 1:33:09something to happen. Thank you again.
- 1:33:11I must. Say, I must say, say
- 1:33:13congratulations, because at the end of the day, you know, like
- 1:33:16when you believe in yourself, you can do anything, anything.
- 1:33:21Anything. If I in a minute, I'm about to
- 1:33:25be the president, Keep. Playing with me keep.
- 1:33:29Playing right, please. I'll be the first dude.
- 1:33:31I'll be the second dude, right. Paint that White House the
- 1:33:35burgundy and green. Right, because I'm trying to
- 1:33:38figure out what Donald, I'm trying to figure out what Donald
- 1:33:40Trump doing. Let me not talk.
- 1:33:42To teach 'cause he he's getting his feelings to try to
- 1:33:45disconnect us all off the social media.
- 1:33:46So. You need to call cautious.
- 1:33:48Well, I think I think he's going to do it secretly, but you have
- 1:33:51why you do a secret number 1800 hot dog Queen.
- 1:33:54You just sitting about sitting of dogs and I agree with.
- 1:33:57From the hood. Yeah, don't wait.
- 1:34:00So we're going to do thank you ma'am from always, you know, a
- 1:34:03good man and have fun in Vegas. Hope we connect next week in
- 1:34:06Vegas. Yeah, well, I'll talk to you
- 1:34:09offline to see how long when you going to get there, how long I
- 1:34:11can extend my stay. Exactly.
- 1:34:15So we we'll probably put it on Friday the way in this Friday
- 1:34:18did a big Friday, Friday night at Mandalay Bay, so.
- 1:34:21Oh, Friday. Oh, that's Friday night, huh?
- 1:34:22Oh, that might. The way in yeah, on the on the
- 1:34:2618th, then 19th, the Fight Night.
- 1:34:28So oh. So OK.
- 1:34:30You'll probably see more fights in the fight in the in the
- 1:34:32audience because I think half of Americans are going to be scared
- 1:34:35to go because of what's going on immigration right now.
- 1:34:37They had oh in the park in the form last night.
- 1:34:40Ice was no ice was in the form, Yeah.
- 1:34:44There was a form parking lot assembly and boy they was like
- 1:34:47man, wait, I have. A question Hey hey hey are y'all
- 1:34:51going to Clarissa fight? No, Chris Chrisa fights on
- 1:34:55somewhere else in the on the 27th we just said Manny Pacquiao
- 1:34:59he come out retirement to fight for the belt.
- 1:35:01No, but would you go to would you go to her fight?
- 1:35:04Would you go to her? Fight I'm trying I'm trying to
- 1:35:06chat to her if I want I want to say it's a part of the movie I
- 1:35:09want to play is a is a fighter in this movie about her life?
- 1:35:12Was she the boxer but she turned into an assassin assassin movie.
- 1:35:16So I'm retired. I'll be right the script right
- 1:35:19now. Wait wait wait.
- 1:35:21Well I'm actually too wifey. Would you go and you 2 hosts,
- 1:35:24would you go for a fight to see her get beat up or would you
- 1:35:27want to see her win? Once you win, I like what you
- 1:35:30talk. Crap.
- 1:35:30When, of course. When of course.
- 1:35:32No some people because she has haters because of the situation.
- 1:35:36I don't really know her so. So basically she she's not the
- 1:35:41side piece of Papoose, but you know, when Remy and Papoose had
- 1:35:45the black love, so a lot of people are hating on that
- 1:35:47because they believed in that. And then so when everything
- 1:35:50wasn't working out, you know, Clever said came out with
- 1:35:53Papoose. So now they're not feeling her
- 1:35:55because of that. Yeah, they they, they want,
- 1:35:58Yeah, they want to. They want, they want to put the
- 1:35:59Marine together. She even challenged her to
- 1:36:01fight, too. Oh wow.
- 1:36:03Exactly. I don't, I don't follow the
- 1:36:05fights, but I'd like to see that.
- 1:36:07And guess what, that would be an interesting one.
- 1:36:12But the y'all don't know it's the box.
- 1:36:16No one knows that. And she got hands.
- 1:36:20Who's? That Who's the box?
- 1:36:23So that's The funny thing about it was so The thing is that
- 1:36:26that's what she said. She liked the box, she's she
- 1:36:29liked the fight and everything like that.
- 1:36:30But. Speed kills.
- 1:36:39Oh, I'm sorry. We're taking up your time.
- 1:36:41Sorry. No, no, you froze so we can't
- 1:36:43hear you. I got my chicken finger I'm
- 1:36:45about to get off. No, no chicken fingers on here,
- 1:36:48but thank you. Yeah, we, we love, I love see
- 1:36:50that kind of fight. But the next fight I'm trying to
- 1:36:53get more tickets for. It's a big one in September.
- 1:36:56We can change Crawford against Carmelo Alvarez.
- 1:36:58That's the one we're going to go to.
- 1:37:00They said tickets are not really selling well because all all the
- 1:37:02Nitinos are really scared to go out because they're ice.
- 1:37:06Well, yeah, that's that's going to change.
- 1:37:07That's going to change the whole game right now, Yeah, because
- 1:37:10because this fight. Saturday is a Latino is fighting
- 1:37:13a Filipino all all the Filipino American companies see Manny
- 1:37:16Pacquiao and a Latino is going to see Barrel.
- 1:37:19But probably anybody's scared because what's going on in
- 1:37:21Paris, you know, so the chicken stuff might affect them.
- 1:37:24So I just say to all about Latino brothers and sisters who
- 1:37:28are out there trying to fight the fight, just keep me honest
- 1:37:31about yourself and put God first.
- 1:37:32And if you meant to be here, you and God plan.
- 1:37:34You're going to be here no matter what.
- 1:37:36Just get your paperwork together.
- 1:37:37That's. All just get your paperwork
- 1:37:39together. Come on now.
- 1:37:40Come on now, that's. It stop running and get your
- 1:37:42paperwork together. Come on, you've been here
- 1:37:45forever. 15 years, 10 years, five years work.
- 1:37:47Just get your paperwork together.
- 1:37:49That's it. And I know a lot of lawyers are
- 1:37:52doing pro bono too right now, a lot of more.
- 1:37:55So we thought it for free. Come on, let's go.
- 1:37:57Everybody run. Get that documentation together,
- 1:38:00man. If I run.
- 1:38:02All right, I appreciate everybody.
- 1:38:04Nice meeting you, Miss Cave. Thank you for sharing.
- 1:38:06From a mother's perspective, from a business woman's
- 1:38:08perspective, it's all it's all accepted here.
- 1:38:10So thank you so much for the love of dogs right there.
- 1:38:16Ladies and gentlemen, that's our campaign.
- 1:38:18This. Date night for us, we missed day
- 1:38:21that last night, so we're going through.

- 1:38:30Always enjoy. We have to have a double date
- 1:38:33y'all? Yeah, my other half, he's in the
