  This ever happen to you? You go to start your car and instead of,

  you know, engine noise, you hear lots of gears grinding

  and metal crunching and screeching and so on. You'd say,

  that's not supposed to sound like that. What if you

  turn on the dishwasher and instead of hearing the hum and the water whooshing,
• 0:19
  you hear shattering and breaking glass? You'd say,
• 0:22
  I don't think it's supposed to sound like that. And something would be
• 0:26
  very wrong, and you want to find out what it is.
• 0:29
  But what if women, in particular
• 0:34
  mothers, uh, they start making very enthusiastic
• 0:39
  noises? They cheer, they applaud, they excuse,
• 0:43
  they defend, uh, the killing
• 0:46
  of their own children, or women killing their own
• 0:50
  children, or women who might be killing children sometime
• 0:54
  in the future. Yes, of course, I'm thinking of the Lindsey
• 0:57
  Clancy trial. I'm thinking of female governors
• 1:01
  signing draconian legislation into law to
• 1:05
  permit abortion on demand,
• 1:09
  full term of pregnancy, prosecution of
• 1:12
  people who protest. And they seem so
• 1:15
  happy, they seem so excited, they seem so enthusiastic.
• 1:20
  And then mothers making TikTok videos screaming
• 1:24
  at their children, expressing their rage and resentment against their children.
• 1:29
  I don't think it's supposed to sound like that.
• 1:33
  I think women are being overshadowed and we
• 1:37
  need to talk about it. Stay with me. I have a dark story to tell.

  Hi, I'm Jesuit Father Robert McTeague, your host every day of the Catholic Current,

  a closer look. Glad you're here. Now, some people are going to protest and go,
• 1:51
  ah, look at that man mansplaining,
• 1:55
  telling women about motherhood and stress. No,
• 1:59
  wait a minute. I said the WNBA
• 2:02
  doesn't know what a woman is, doesn't know what a man is. Certainly a member
• 2:05
  of the Supreme Court doesn't know what a woman is. Uh,
• 2:09
  you've got medical doctors, you've got deans of medical schools testifying
• 2:12
  before Congress that Men can become
• 2:16
  pregnant and give birth. So I don't want to hear it
• 2:20
  about the man with the beard is talking about mother things and baby
• 2:24
  things. So just stow that. We have
• 2:28
  something really serious to talk about. Women are
• 2:32
  killing their children. Not only Lindsay Clancy, not only the copycat
• 2:36
  cases that have followed from that, not the horrifying cases preceded before
• 2:41
  that. We live in a culture where the leading cause of
• 2:44
  death for the past 10 years has been abortion,
• 2:47
  not war, not cancer.
• 2:51
  Abortion.
• 2:55
  It's counterintuitive, isn't it? Isn't the most natural
• 2:59
  thing to think of is that no matter what the flaws are in a woman's
• 3:03
  character, that she has a
• 3:08
  predisposition to be benign to children,
• 3:11
  especially her own children. We read in Isaiah
• 3:14
  49:15, can a woman forget her nursing child or show no compassion
• 3:19
  for the child of her womb? And apparently a
• 3:23
  whole lot of women are saying, hell yeah, you go, girl.
• 3:27
  This is wrong. This is insane.
• 3:31
  I'm not aware of any chapter of human history where
• 3:35
  there was so much female
• 3:39
  enthusiasm for the repudiation of motherhood and the legitimization
• 3:43
  of the shedding of the blood of children.
• 3:47
  Something very, very basic
• 3:52
  has become broken, has become overshadowed, has become
• 3:57
  distorted. And I don't know how to
• 4:01
  explain it. I have my suspicions, I have my hunches,
• 4:04
  I have my theories, But I always ask you, let's take
• 4:08
  a closer look. Let's look at this together.

  is it in my lifetime women have become
• 4:22
  so enthusiastic about murdering children? This isn't
• 4:26
  right. This isn't natural, and it's certainly not of God.
