- 0:36mystery into a real world to be studied, inspiring
- 0:40future exploration and reshaping ideas about

- 2:53news, Jennifer Garner is reminiscing about her
- 2:57time filming the TV show, The Five -Star Weekend
- 3:00on Nantucket, sharing a throwback video of an
- 3:04impromptu karaoke performance at a local live
- 3:07music venue. The actress posted the video to
- 3:10social media on Monday, showing herself singing
- 3:13Abigail's Dancing Queen alongside her co -stars
- 3:17during a visit to Gaslight. a downtown Nantucket
- 3:20restaurant, bar, and music venue. The karaoke
- 3:24outing took place on September 30th, 2025, and
- 3:28local guide Bill Jameson joined the actresses
- 3:31on stage for the performance. Garner humorously
- 3:34noted in her caption that while their karaoke
- 3:37skills may not have been five -star, everything
- 3:40else with her co -stars was a dream, calling
- 3:42Jameson a legend. Now on to sports. Major League
- 3:52Baseball commissioner Rob Manfred on Tuesday,
- 3:55prior to the All -Star Game, spoke to members
- 3:58of the press about ongoing negotiations with
- 4:00the players' union on a new collective bargaining
- 4:03agreement. The central issue is the owner's push
- 4:06for a salary cap, as Major League Baseball is
- 4:09the only non -capped major professional sports
- 4:12league in North America. Manfred reiterated calls
- 4:16for a cap. framing it as a means to improve competitive
- 4:20balance. However, the league is enjoying a boom,
- 4:23with attendance and television ratings up. Manfred
- 4:27claims to have united owners on proposing equalized
- 4:30sharing of local revenues, although the two sides
- 4:33remain entrenched in negotiations. A labor stoppage
- 4:37is expected when the current collective bargaining
- 4:40agreement expires on December 1st. which could
- 4:43jeopardize the 20 -27 season and impact Manfred's
- 4:47legacy. In local sports, the Red Sox are on fire
- 4:52heading into the second half. Wilson Contreras
- 4:55made it clear he's not going anywhere. The all
- 4:59-pro first baseman told reporters he won't waive
- 5:01his no -trade clause and wants to finish his
- 5:04career in Boston. He said he's found his family
- 5:07at Fenway And that kind of commitment from your
- 5:10best player matters when you're riding a nine
- 5:12-game winning streak. Tommy Connell is back,
- 5:16too, after a brief detour through waivers and
- 5:19free agency. The veteran reliever resigned with
- 5:22Boston to pitch in Worcester, looking to bounce
- 5:25back from an 8 .0 era in eight appearances this
- 5:29season. The Sox host Tampa Bay had Fenway on
- 5:33Friday at 1 .35 with Jake Bennett on the mound.
- 5:38Meanwhile, the Bruins made some significant front
- 5:41office moves. Kevin Adams, who spent 17 years
- 5:46with the Buffalo Sabres most recently as their
- 5:49GM, joins Boston as Senior Advisor. Tennis Bonvy
- 5:54and Jeremy Rogalski were named Assistant General
- 5:58Managers, while Alex Jimenez takes over as Director
- 6:02of Hockey Operations. GM Don Sweeney said he's
- 6:06confident this new structure will help the team
- 6:08improve heading into training camp after an active
- 6:11off -season that included trades for JJ Pederka
- 6:14and Will Borgen. In top news, Spain reaches the
- 6:21World Cup final with a dominant 2 -0 win over
- 6:24France. In a match Tuesday in Arlington, Texas,
- 6:29Spain delivered a masterful performance advancing
- 6:32to Sunday's World Cup final at MetLife Stadium
- 6:35in New Jersey. This marked Spain's second -ever
- 6:39appearance in a World Cup final, having previously
- 6:42won the tournament in 2010. Spain's first goal
- 6:46came in the 22nd minute, when Michael Oyarzabal
- 6:49scored from the penalty spot after teenager Lemayne
- 6:52Yamal drew a foul. The loss means France failed
- 6:56to reach its third consecutive final, and will
- 6:58instead play in the third -place game in Miami
- 7:01Gardens, Florida. In business news, your monthly
- 7:07Netflix bill is up 29 % in just over a year.
- 7:12Critics say Washington needs to fix it. Netflix
- 7:15remains a favorite on Wall Street while also
- 7:18being a target for government regulators. The
- 7:21streaming service is expected to impress the
- 7:24stock market when it reports earnings on Thursday.
- 7:26despite the usual sell -the -news response. Analysts
- 7:30are bullish on Netflix and anticipate a slight
- 7:34beat in the company's second -quarter earnings
- 7:36estimate. Consensus forecasts predict 13 .5 %
- 7:41annualized revenue growth to $12 .6 billion,
- 7:45which was the Netflix forecast in the first quarter.
- 7:49Operating margin has increased to 32 .6%. In
- 7:54crypto movement, Bitcoin is up 2 % to about $65
- 7:59,000. Ethereum is up 4 % to just under $1 ,900.

- 8:52to tell them... Sunny morning sent you by. And
- 8:56now, back to the show. Let's talk tech. Miles
- 9:02Wang, an open AI researcher, is leaving the chat
- 9:06GPT maker to launch a new startup focused on
- 9:09developing AI models for drug discovery, according
- 9:13to several sources. He is in talks to raise about
- 9:16$200 million at a $2 billion valuation. Lightspeed
- 9:22is reportedly in discussions to lead the funding
- 9:25round, although talks are ongoing. Wang's startup
- 9:28may focus on AI models to find new uses for existing
- 9:32drugs, which could lead to significantly faster
- 9:35revenue than developing new drugs from scratch.
- 9:39Wang joined OpenAI in 2024 after dropping out
- 9:43from Harvard University. And in entertainment
- 9:48news. Lucky is a new Apple television thriller
- 9:52starring Anya Taylor -Joy as an identity -swapping
- 9:56con woman, revealing some identity issues of
- 9:59its own. In this seven -episode limited series,
- 10:03the adaptation fails to generate a consistent
- 10:06tone or theme, stripping away key elements from
- 10:09the original book. Taylor -Joy portrays Lucky,
- 10:13who is caught in a heist involving nearly $10
- 10:16million and a convoluted scam. Despite a talented
- 10:21cast, including Annette Baning and Timothy Oliphant,
- 10:24the characters feel underdeveloped. Ultimately,
- 10:29Lucky is an uneven diversion lacking the depth
- 10:31necessary for meaningful drama. Well, all righty,
- 10:36folks, it's time for the quote of the day. And
- 10:40today, our quote comes from the American astronomer
- 10:43and science communicator, Carl Sagan. And he
- 10:47said, Somewhere, something incredible is waiting
- 10:51to be known, highlighting the transformative
- 10:53power of exploration and discovery. And that's
