- 0:20following a deputy involved shooting Sunday morning
- 0:23near Marconi and Eastern Avenues. According to
- 0:26the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office, deputies
- 0:28responded around 11 a .m. after a caller reported
- 0:31a man sleeping behind a car wash with a handgun
- 0:34in his lap. Investigators say the caller believed
- 0:37the man may have been connected to the shooting
- 0:40involving her and her husband the night before.
- 0:43Deputies used a loudspeaker to wake the man from
- 0:47the distance and repeatedly ordered him not to
- 0:50reach for the gun. The sheriff's office say the
- 0:52man eventually moved the firearm away and stood
- 0:55up with his hands raised. But while walking towards
- 0:57deputies, investigators say he turned and reached
- 1:00downward, prompting deputies to open fire. The
- 1:04man was taken to a local hospital where he was
- 1:06pronounced dead. The investigation remains ongoing.
- 1:09And Sacramento police reported two notable arrests
- 1:12from Sunday, just after midnight officers attempted
- 1:16a traffic stop near Rio Aledante Court. Police
- 1:22say the driver took off leading officers on a
- 1:24pursuit before eventually returning to the residence.
- 1:27The driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI,
- 1:30pursuit -related charges, and an outstanding
- 1:35warrant. Then shortly after 2 a .m. on K Street,
- 1:39officers came across a fight and detained a juvenile
- 1:41involved. The police say they found a loaded
- 1:44handgun in the juvenile's pocket. The juvenile
- 1:47was arrested on related charges. Today will be
