Maple Grove’s Fire Chief Maddison Zikmund has resigned amid felony charges of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old fire cadet — an incident allegedly dating back to 2017. The victim, then 16, said Zikmund groomed her and sent explicit messages before inviting her to his home, where the assault occurred. Zikmund admitted in police interviews to sending explicit photos and touching her, calling it “wrong.” Charged on July 10th with felony third-degree criminal sexual conduct, he was placed on administrative leave earlier this month.
