- 0:45seven four six eight zero two zero And
- 0:50join me today So I've been following the
- 0:57weather.
- 0:57You can't help it freaking Freezing your I
- 1:02don't know Left testicle off or your right
- 1:07nipple either way.
- 1:08It's freaking cold So there you have it.
- 1:13I So When I'm in Florida, Florida, you
- 1:19guys say Florida when you're in, Florida I
- 1:22always I'm not one of those people that
- 1:25turns the this is how horrible it is.
- 1:28I'm not one of those people that turns
- 1:29the AC on in the house and keeps
- 1:33it at 65.
- 1:34I don't want that and You know, I
- 1:39often kept the house.
- 1:40So 75 I thought 75 was rather pleasant,
- 1:45right?
- 1:47And as a result My air conditioning bills
- 1:52were low.
- 1:53So here I am Freezing my left testicle
- 1:58off and it's only 32 degrees But that
- 2:01means you got to keep your house if
- 2:03you can't keep your house 75 who the
- 2:05hell can afford that that's nuts and so,
- 2:08you know, I'm wandering around and you know,
- 2:1112 hats and I Don't do well in
- 2:15the cold anymore.
- 2:16I used to be you know, I've spent
- 2:18my time in the cold I grew up
- 2:20in Minnesota for God's sake and When I
- 2:24was in the army, I slept in a
- 2:25snowbank in Alaska in January And one of
- 2:30the coldest winters on record, but that was
- 2:32cuz I had to I'm supposedly have a
- 2:36choice.
- 2:37So here I am sipping warm coffee Mmm
- 2:43that was tasty and Here I am live
- 2:48Coming to you live, I mean live if
- 2:52I'm still alive, you know I might be
- 2:54frozen solid who knows from the Lake Ozark
- 2:59real estate of the art studio, and I'm
- 3:03wearing a Long sleeve shirt a sweater a
- 3:07jacket still have my hat on I didn't
- 3:11take the gloves off because it's a little
- 3:12hard to maneuver a mouse should you need
- 3:15to move?
- 3:16But I suppose that's kind of wimpy of
- 3:20me because it's really not all that horribly
- 3:23cold and it's something People who grew up
- 3:26in Minnesota should be used to or who
- 3:28slept in snow banks in freaking Fairbanks And
- 3:33Anchorage by the way did it in both
- 3:35places and that was depressing at any rate
- 3:39I wanted to talk about the weather anyway
- 3:42And how do you like that you tune
- 3:45in to a radio show and the guys
- 3:47gonna talk about the weather but let's let's
- 3:49do that.
- 3:50Anyway, because I You know, I don't know
- 3:57how to put it I enjoy Well, I
- 4:03shouldn't say enjoy that's not a good word
- 4:05I I pay attention to the weather I
- 4:07pay attention to Natural phenomenon and I especially
- 4:12pay attention to Natural disasters.
- 4:16I've got kind of a fixation with it
- 4:18when I went to Hawaii Years ago I
- 4:25Spent the whole time I did go one
- 4:28day over to Honolulu but All the rest
- 4:34of the time I was there like ten
- 4:35days or something and I spent the rest
- 4:38of the time on the Big Island and
- 4:41I had rented a car and I drove
- 4:43around the island there were like three active
- 4:48volcanoes on the island and you know, they
- 4:51were active when I was there and I
- 4:53kind of That's one of the main reasons.
- 4:58I wanted to go to Hawaii Was to
- 5:00see volcanoes people go there to go on
- 5:03pineapple tours and stuff like that.
- 5:06I went to coffee plantations and tea plantations
- 5:09and I went and saw all three of
- 5:11these volcanoes and took a helicopter over the
- 5:14volcano and I Can't believe I did that
- 5:19because I'm one of those people, you know
- 5:21that jumps in the ocean and it's gonna
- 5:23get eaten by a shark So if you're
- 5:26the guy flying over the Volcano and the
- 5:29thing hasn't gone off in a thousand years
- 5:31if I'm the guy flying over it's gonna
- 5:33go off right right as Right as the
- 5:36helicopter goes over the top, right if you're
- 5:40You know Going to the Grand Canyon.
- 5:44You're the dude who the wind gust blows
- 5:46off, you know right there if there are
- 5:48odds Or against it It's gonna happen to
- 5:54me, right if you know your your your
- 5:57your car is gonna break down You know
- 6:0020 miles from home.
- 6:01Well, you know who that's gonna happen to
- 6:05On a thousand mile trip, by the way,
- 6:07you know, the car will be great till
- 6:09you get 20 miles from home And that's
- 6:11just how it works.
- 6:12Anyway, that could be a little pessimistic and
- 6:14So I know people who would say that
- 6:17the universe Gives those who think that way
- 6:22what they deserve and if you think the
- 6:25opposite way it gives those people the things
- 6:30they deserve if you think that you're gonna
- 6:32be in the two percenters of the Planet
- 6:35and when now I got to say I'm
- 6:37fairly lucky at this discussion with somebody yesterday,
- 6:40and I'm a fairly lucky individual there was
- 6:43some Charity event in Jeff City several years
- 6:47ago That I went to and They were
- 6:52selling or selling well They were selling they
- 6:55were selling raffle tickets and you could buy
- 6:57raffle tickets in the lady goes you need
- 7:00to buy ten I said no, I don't
- 7:01need ten now.
- 7:02I need one and she said well, you
- 7:06know one She said why would you know
- 7:08one ticket was 20 bucks?
- 7:10I mean it was a they were trying
- 7:11to raise some serious money and one ticket
- 7:13was 20 bucks and you could get I
- 7:17don't know ten for a hundred or something
- 7:19like that And I only had 20 bucks
- 7:21in my pocket anyway, so that wasn't working
- 7:23and so I said no I don't know.
- 7:26I only need one.
- 7:27I'm gonna win.
- 7:28Anyway.
- 7:28There's thousand people in the room It's the
- 7:30ballroom at the place across from the Capitol.
- 7:33You know one of the big hotels there
- 7:35and there's at least a thousand people in
- 7:37that room and That the grand prize was
- 7:41some wagon a Pretty good-sized wagon and
- 7:45then several crates around it full of all
- 7:48kinds of various types of alcohol whiskey bottles
- 7:53of wine and all that stuff and You
- 7:56know you write your name on it, and
- 7:58I said I'm well You're gonna be you
- 8:00know I'll stick around till the end because
- 8:02I'm gonna win and sure enough I won
- 8:05and the girl was up there.
- 8:07She goes.
- 8:08How did you do that?
- 8:09I don't know you I've always been able
- 8:12to do that it when when I was
- 8:14going when I was in the military and
- 8:16Lived in Washington DC.
- 8:18I've already told you the stories about how
- 8:20I used to go to Las Vegas Every
- 8:24other week you know I'd go to Vegas
- 8:27and you'd only stay overnight because the rest
- 8:29of the time wasn't really Vegas it was
- 8:31Nevada nuclear test site about you know 80
- 8:34miles or whatever it was west of Vegas
- 8:38and you'd go out there and blow crap
- 8:39up And then you'd get one night a
- 8:41week in in Vegas or on your return
- 8:44trip or whatever you know and be there
- 8:46and I Had it.
- 8:48I mean I had a pretty damn good
- 8:51my odds charts were Unbelievable for black 17
- 8:55so so my birthday is the 17th of
- 8:58the month and so I was always a
- 9:00black 17 er on Roulette and I'd go
- 9:04up put it.
- 9:05You know $2,500 25 or a hundred
- 9:09not 2,500 you know a $25 chip
- 9:12$100 chip, and I put it on black
- 9:1417, and I can tell you I hit
- 9:17that So many times I can't I can't
- 9:19and it's 36 to 1 you know you
- 9:21get pair 35 I forget how they do
- 9:23it, but I think it's 36.
- 9:26I think the payout But I think it
- 9:28includes your hundred when you get paid out
- 9:30you get 36 on her box and I
- 9:33can't tell you how many times I did
- 9:34that and That I would hit it.
- 9:37I've done it in st..
- 9:38Louis quite a few times that place in
- 9:39st..
- 9:40Charles I've done it there about I haven't
- 9:43done it in years.
- 9:44You know I rarely gamble anymore but I
- 9:47used to you know do it all the
- 9:48time and So I suppose the odds were
- 9:51with me a little bit on that stuff
- 9:53too, and maybe there's some truth to the
- 9:55universe Let's put it that way to this
- 9:58universe thing if people like to talk about
- 10:00and say the universe gives you what you
- 10:02ask for It's an interesting concept, and I
- 10:06don't know that I believe it or not,
- 10:08but You know some some some people have
- 10:11that belief that the universe is what you
- 10:14need to I?
- 10:17Don't want to call it praying, but the
- 10:19universe is what you need to come to
- 10:20grips with not Not religion, you know there's
- 10:24certainly that group of folks out there and
- 10:28Anyway, whatever happens I can tell you that
- 10:32the extreme ends of either end if I
- 10:34get in the ocean I'm getting eaten by
- 10:36a shark if I fly over a Natural
- 10:39disaster I'm gonna get blown up in the
- 10:42disaster And every once in a while if
- 10:44I go to Vegas and put put a
- 10:46hundred dollar black chip on black 17 I'm
- 10:51gonna hit that puppy on a fairly regular
- 10:54basis, so I need to go there more
- 10:55often is what it seems but I wanted
- 10:58to talk about natural disasters and weather and
- 11:02a couple of things like that because there's
- 11:04been a decent amount of that in the
- 11:06news and and you know All of the
- 11:10stuff that goes on in the world You
- 11:14know I Don't know how to dispute Disagreements
- 11:20Stupidity everywhere, and you know I suppose that
- 11:24some of the things that we all have
- 11:26to go through no matter What weather freezing
- 11:29your your butt cheek off?
- 11:31you know that that people have to pay
- 11:33attention to that because we all go through
- 11:35it and Wherever you are with the weather
- 11:39you'll want to be somewhere else.
- 11:41You know I'm not a particular huge fan
- 11:43of Florida I don't mind being there Once
- 11:48in a while, but I didn't really like
- 11:50being there.
- 11:51You know on a on a constant basis
- 11:54I Particularly enjoy, Missouri in the fall Rest
- 12:01of the year Please don't take this wrong
- 12:04or come and beat the hell out of
- 12:05me at the Lake Ozark real estate of
- 12:08the art studio But rest of the time
- 12:10for me.
- 12:11It's take it or leave it, but I
- 12:12but I enjoy fall That's my favorite time
- 12:17year, and it is the one time a
- 12:19year that I find Missouri to be very
- 12:22very pretty and But other than that you
- 12:26know it's it's I'd probably prefer to be
- 12:29traveling the planet.
- 12:30You know what I mean.
- 12:31I don't mean anything bad by that.
- 12:34It's just I'm much more into the fall,
- 12:38but whether wherever you go You know when
- 12:41I lived in Qatar, and it was you
- 12:43know 115 degrees daily.
- 12:45You know and very dry well, it was
- 12:48very humid in the in the months of
- 12:53like August September, but the rest time it
- 12:56was pretty dry and it was and I
- 12:58didn't mind that all that much But I
- 13:02don't want to be so I wanted to
- 13:04go to st.
- 13:04Petersburg I've already told you that and see
- 13:07a real Russian winter I haven't I've only
- 13:10been in Russia in the winter once and
- 13:14it was in Moscow, and it was years
- 13:16ago And I I don't remember being all
- 13:19that horrible or slow people down or anything
- 13:22like that and kind of like, Minnesota you
- 13:24know the weather never slowed you down up
- 13:26there and You know that it was very
- 13:29good and everybody learns to deal with the
- 13:32weather, but the weather's kind of been in
- 13:34the news so You know in the world
- 13:37they don't care what your Belief structure is
- 13:41they don't care.
- 13:42You know what your government Thoughts are they
- 13:47don't care what you do for a living
- 13:49doesn't care about summits speeches elections morality moral
- 13:55framework It's you know for his physics pressure
- 13:59Limits, that's what it is, and you know
- 14:03this week.
- 14:03You know we've had some Some pretty interesting
- 14:06Limits being pushed everywhere.
- 14:09Let's start with Kamchatka in Far East Russia
- 14:15nine meter waves nine meters That's pretty freakin
- 14:22high Waves storm warnings across the Pacific in
- 14:26the Bering Sea the Bering Straits and nine
- 14:28meters.
- 14:29That's not rough weather That's like a wall
- 14:32of water taller than your house You know
- 14:34that's some you know ships fail in that
- 14:38ports are shut down because of that rescue
- 14:42Becomes near impossible.
- 14:44You know if you're rescuing somebody you're gambling
- 14:47with your own life in that time and
- 14:49so You know in Kamchatka is not some
- 14:53you know irrelevant outpost.
- 14:56It's a You know the Pacific access, it's
- 14:59the Arctic approaches, it's it's everything It's the
- 15:02Bering Strait corridor routes that you know both
- 15:06militarily and economically really matter these are units
- 15:11a Bad times up there right now, and
- 15:14so when the sea gets violent there the
- 15:17disruptions are are pretty And they're felt in
- 15:21a lot of places So you can sanction
- 15:24a country you can blockade the port you
- 15:27can issue statements, but you can't really negotiate
- 15:34Eater wave you know that's not gonna happen
- 15:37and so and in in a related You
- 15:40know on the other side of the Pacific
- 15:43and the Pacific Northwest of the u.s.
- 15:45They're drowning under You know some Atmospheric issues
- 15:51of their own right you know the rivers
- 15:53are rising and they've there been roads that
- 15:56have vanished evacuations everywhere you know the weather
- 15:59is kicking the crap out of the Pacific
- 16:03Northwest as well, and they got landslides, and
- 16:07you know we're no third world Developing country
- 16:11or a failed state well you could argue
- 16:14some of that We're supposedly wealthy Infrastructure heavy
- 16:19you know supposedly in that region.
- 16:23You know, but it always is discovering over
- 16:25and over that You know development doesn't necessarily
- 16:30Equal immunity, I mean how many tornadoes we
- 16:33get in the Texas Oklahoma Missouri you know
- 16:41the panhandle part down there How much you
- 16:45get you know what do you what do
- 16:47you get?
- 16:48Lots of them.
- 16:49I mean and also at the same time
- 16:51right now They're huge bushfires burning out of
- 16:53control all over Australia right homes are burning
- 16:57There's extreme heat the erratic wind you know
- 17:00firefighter was killed yesterday by a falling tree
- 17:04So you got floods on one side of
- 17:06the planet fire on the other and there's
- 17:09there's a lot of things That don't necessarily
- 17:13depend on politics it would you know which
- 17:15we like talk about or that aren't related
- 17:17You know they don't they might make a
- 17:19pause you know Too much water too fast
- 17:24or not enough water for too long, and
- 17:26then you know the it's You know one
- 17:30extreme or the other I mean right now
- 17:32Sri Lanka Southeast Asia cyclones everywhere flooding landslides
- 17:37their displacement of people and You know recovery
- 17:41takes a while Economic strain is felt as
- 17:45a result of these things.
- 17:46This is you know.
- 17:47It's not Chaos, it's a it's kind of
- 17:49a pattern because this You can't stop it.
- 17:53I mean you Every year you have what
- 17:56tornado season in Florida hurricane season.
- 17:59You know it's a Pacific Northwest flooding season
- 18:03landslide season Southern California fire season you know
- 18:08they get to some fire starts, and you
- 18:10know burns for months You know it's kind
- 18:13of what they're going through in Australia right
- 18:16now, and it matters because It kind of
- 18:21interrupts the narratives that are you know they
- 18:24go along Everywhere you know it's like well.
- 18:27We we got this and one of the
- 18:28you know the pressure insurance markets supply chains
- 18:34repair cost Political patience you know everybody what's
- 18:40the u.s. Do oh gee FEMA throw
- 18:42him another billion dollars, and let's you know
- 18:45move on everybody forgets about it keeps on
- 18:47moving on So nature kind of accelerates to
- 18:51the truth like truth is Does any of
- 18:56the political crap really matter you know it?
- 19:00Everything kind of becomes personalized if you're one
- 19:03of the people involved in Like like me
- 19:06this morning freezing my butt off or you
- 19:09know flying over a volcano, but you know
- 19:13let's And what happens when weather Hits the
- 19:22battlefield right let's take everything we just talked
- 19:26about you know pressure limits The indifference of
- 19:31weather you know it doesn't care who it's
- 19:33affecting It's just it is you know like
- 19:36like a Mount Everest is you know and
- 19:43And let's talk about that with respect to
- 19:49war Let's talk about that with respect to
- 19:55winter and Seversk and the collapse of illusions
- 20:00on the battlefield What is what is Russia
- 20:03been doing?
- 20:04What is Ukraine been doing trying to do
- 20:07and in in reverse in Russia?
- 20:10Doing the same thing They're trying to take
- 20:14out each other's energy infrastructure heat electricity why
- 20:20because it's a painful situation to have to
- 20:26Live through winter with no heat you know
- 20:29I'm here complaining about you know 32 degrees
- 20:33and And I can turn on the heat
- 20:37you know cost me more drives me nuts.
- 20:40I don't like that but They can't in
- 20:44Ukraine.
- 20:45You know them they get what what was
- 20:47those those latest stories?
- 20:48There's 16 hour blackouts You know you get
- 20:51you only get your electricity turned on so
- 20:54many times a day and the heat doesn't
- 20:56get turned on Except for like four to
- 20:59eight hours something like depending on where you
- 21:01live and so you know The the no
- 21:06pause Winter is not you know a nice
- 21:09scenery picture in Ukraine could be but when
- 21:13it winters up like a Multiplier a force
- 21:16that's what it is the cold is killing
- 21:19The batteries in your vehicle the vehicle itself
- 21:23Wounded soldiers, you know die in the freezing
- 21:26cold.
- 21:26I'm here complaining You know I ain't laying
- 21:30in the snow.
- 21:30You know Kills morale kills logistics kills food
- 21:35supply.
- 21:36You know how do you get any any
- 21:37food to the battlefield it attacks?
- 21:40You know energy first heat electricity water rail
- 21:45every winter repairs are Are critical you know
- 21:50it's a race against time because The haves
- 21:54make it forward and have nots you know
- 21:57you're not warm.
- 21:58You're not fighting You know What's let's talk
- 22:03about that in relation to the battlefield that
- 22:06nobody is really talking about the saviors There's
- 22:09a German journalist in a war correspondent that
- 22:13wrote an article last couple of days His
- 22:16name is Thomas Roper and After the fall
- 22:22of Seversk which was taken basically yesterday what
- 22:25he said was This is probably the last
- 22:30fortress before the Donetsk River.
- 22:32Do you remember me talking about that?
- 22:35about the steppe and the plains and what
- 22:40happens over there, and it's gonna be especially
- 22:42brutal in the winter and And so basically
- 22:46you the hills and the and the And
- 22:52the populated centers are further on the east
- 22:56and then once you cross that Area to
- 23:03get into the western Donbass and where Seversk
- 23:06is and You get to keep going all
- 23:11the way that the Donetsk River I mean
- 23:14almost and it the the Donetsk curves to
- 23:19the to the West right there, too but
- 23:24You could arguably it's nothing but planes, and
- 23:27they're very there aren't any large Population centers
- 23:31between Seversk and well a lot of Seversk
- 23:35and going all the way that didn't ask
- 23:36River and From the very beginning.
- 23:40I remember when somebody was first interviewing me
- 23:42about this Years ago three four years ago
- 23:46when the when the war first started, and
- 23:48I was talking about Historic Russia where Russia
- 23:52was in relation to Ukraine and all of
- 23:55that And I basically said everything east of
- 23:58the Donetsk Was basically Russian and You know
- 24:06of course, I'm not saying there weren't Ukrainians
- 24:08there, and I'm not saying it wasn't part
- 24:10of Ukraine that was gifted by Khrushchev to
- 24:14Ukraine during Soviet Union times, but historically Native
- 24:20Russian okay and west of the Donetsk Farm
- 24:25you know the Ukraine means on the edge
- 24:27on the edge on the frontier now cry
- 24:30Means on the Edges and Ukraine that means
- 24:34you're by the edge And so that was
- 24:37the further west you went the more in
- 24:39the frontier you were but it was all
- 24:41Russia right it was all Russian Empire for
- 24:44last thousand years, and there was never a
- 24:47separate Ukraine Empire You know and now that
- 24:50was just where they were there their language
- 24:53deviated you know because of the influence from
- 24:55the Poles and In the Baltic States and
- 24:59stuff like that in a Germanic state Austria
- 25:03Hungary over there And but it's a wide
- 25:08flat plain all the way to the Donetsk
- 25:10after this and so the weather you know
- 25:14there is this Thomas Roper says that there's
- 25:19you know not much left to stop Russians
- 25:22the Russians now that they've gotten west of
- 25:27Seversk and You know that's not a Kremlin
- 25:31spokesperson and person.
- 25:33That's not you know a war I Don't
- 25:37know what general commander, and you know nobody
- 25:39like that.
- 25:40It's a German journalist Describing the geometry of
- 25:44the battlefield and Seversk wasn't really symbolic.
- 25:48It's more structural It's a fortified position that
- 25:51anchored Ukrainian defenses and with it gone The
- 25:55road is open toward Kramatorsk Slovyansk You know
- 25:59these are command hubs these are logistical places
- 26:02and and is his assessment is that the?
- 26:06Ukrainian forces are Extremely low on personnel there's
- 26:13been some discussion that they are completely out
- 26:16of Reinforcements They don't have anybody left to
- 26:20get you know unless they lower the the
- 26:23age to You know 18 or something from
- 26:2625 that it's at now, but they've already
- 26:29let most those guys leave the country Sorry
- 26:34about that get a little bit of coffee
- 26:35still got a bit of a scratch in
- 26:37the throat The strategy you know the Ukrainian
- 26:42strategy basically Hold the ground at any cost
- 26:46period in there people are dying I've tell
- 26:49you about Mirna grad in Petrovsk in Mirna
- 26:52grad there was a They were completely encircled
- 26:56in Mirna grad after the fall of Petrovsk
- 26:59in it.
- 27:01It's Month ago.
- 27:03I was telling you there were 5,000
- 27:07soldiers in each place Six weeks ago two
- 27:11weeks ago three weeks ago.
- 27:12I was telling you that they're down to
- 27:13about 2,000 in each place Now they
- 27:17aren't showing there.
- 27:18You know there's still an effort on the
- 27:21Ukraine side to say oh gee We're holding
- 27:24it, but they've lost all 10,000 of
- 27:26those troops in Petrovsk Mirna grad in the
- 27:30last four or five weeks Russians estimates were
- 27:3347,000 soldiers in the month of October
- 27:37lost on the Ukrainian side another Estimate which
- 27:46isn't really an estimate And now they're talking
- 27:50about a lot of people have said I
- 27:51say it's closer to one and a half
- 27:53million Because I've been following it from the
- 27:55very get-go in the four-year period
- 27:57but now even Western military Strategists And commentators
- 28:06and people like this This guy Roper have
- 28:11been saying that now they've passed a million
- 28:14now That Ukraine is more than a million.
- 28:17I think it's quite a bit higher than
- 28:19that certainly.
- 28:20It's much higher if you count The Wounded
- 28:25and if you count the desertions if you
- 28:28count the people there's still about 200,000
- 28:31that have been charged with With desertion so
- 28:38Attrition has replaced any sort of maneuver the
- 28:42Ukrainians have been commanded You will hold this
- 28:46ground at any cost and including all the
- 28:48lives of the entire unit You know and
- 28:51that's what's happened certainly in Mirna grad On
- 28:56Pokrov skin arguably in Seversk too, and so
- 29:00now The lawn that should line.
- 29:04I mean that that should Worry us or
- 29:08worry them is And because they're not doing
- 29:12it is anybody who had any sort of
- 29:15brain on that side of the Equation on
- 29:18the Ukrainian side would get some negotiations going
- 29:22So why aren't they you know I Don't
- 29:28know a pause now.
- 29:30What does a pause now do does it
- 29:32freeze the battlefield?
- 29:34No, it reshapes it so this brings me
- 29:38to the discussion by Sergei Lavrov Because he
- 29:42gave an hour and a half He was
- 29:44at an hour and a half called it
- 29:46a roundtable is what they were talking about
- 29:49And I only got to listen the first
- 29:5130 40 minutes, um, I mean which was
- 29:54mostly him given the You know some prepared
- 29:58remarks, and he was talking about it and
- 30:01once again.
- 30:01They were talking about The because Europe is
- 30:05still pushing as is the u.s. partially
- 30:09they keep framing the necessity for a ceasefire
- 30:14to engage in talks and There's been several
- 30:20commentators talk about it in the last You
- 30:23know week or two especially it's a you
- 30:26know especially as the holidays come up That
- 30:29have been talking about Ceasefire and Lavrov Reminded
- 30:36everybody once again of what we've been saying
- 30:40for for years that no We will not
- 30:47just Agree to a ceasefire To allow them
- 30:51he said it again.
- 30:53He gave me said it feels like I
- 30:54said it he goes I don't know you
- 30:56know I've repeated this and a number of
- 30:58times because especially in Europe but in the
- 31:02West he said and especially in Europe a
- 31:06ceasefire under the current conditions isn't Equal to
- 31:12peace it just isn't Because it's recovery time
- 31:17it is time for them to and he
- 31:18listed him he listed it out rotate Exhausted
- 31:23Ukrainian units out give them a little bit
- 31:26of a break.
- 31:26He said they need a break retrain hopefully
- 31:31and gets a member they're sending their Conscripts
- 31:35straight to the front to be trained by
- 31:38the frontline units That's not a strategy that
- 31:42is worthwhile.
- 31:43They need a pause They they've been begging
- 31:46for this ceasefire because they need a ceasefire
- 31:49in order to regroup They want to integrate
- 31:54and have shipped new Western weapons today They
- 31:58want to repair rail and energy infrastructure and
- 32:01hopefully rebuild a little bit of morale for
- 32:05them And so a pause in the a
- 32:09ceasefire You know of a small stop in
- 32:13the hostilities Redistributes the advantage of the Russians
- 32:19and you know makes it a little bit
- 32:24more But you know allegedly equal you know
- 32:29or gives gives the Ukrainians Call it a
- 32:32fighting chance even though you know they're all
- 32:34being forced to fight and be destroyed anyway
- 32:38And with savers gone and winter biting They
- 32:45need that stop now more than ever Because
- 32:50you know the advantage and you know advantage
- 32:54Russia You know is going to turn into
- 32:58game set match Russia according to to Lavrov
- 33:04if they keep the pressure up and not
- 33:08have any sort of ceasefire that allows Europe
- 33:11to resupply allows Ukrainians to propagandize and come
- 33:16another way and hopefully facilitate some sort of
- 33:21resupply redistribution on the remaining front lines although
- 33:28Seversk Petrovsk Mirna grad Kupyansk these are big
- 33:35cities, and they are all Basically, and these
- 33:38are not small that are all basically gone
- 33:41They just they just I think it was
- 33:43I can't remember the one up in Kharkov
- 33:46where they were talking about Where they pushed
- 33:49him out and now the Ukrainians are saying
- 33:51now.
- 33:52We won't leave that area It's Western Donbass,
- 33:55and we won't leave But the civilians are
- 33:57being Evacuated or told to leave you know
- 34:02one way or the other Because the Ukrainians
- 34:04can't hold it anymore And so that's the
- 34:07next big one, and then you know now
- 34:09they're talking about Kramatorsk and these other historically
- 34:15Vital cities as far as Production as far
- 34:20as manufacturing and stuff like that.
- 34:22It's it's Weather isn't helping you know and
- 34:27weather is very important in this just like
- 34:32all of the weather issues stop You know
- 34:37events stop Reality for a little while or
- 34:41change your reality Maybe is better you know
- 34:44your reality the winner is changing the reality.
- 34:47You know reality is Ukrainians were losing anyway
- 34:50and Now Reality is is that In the
- 34:57winter they're gonna lose even quicker, especially if
- 35:00Russia doesn't agree to a Cessation so that
- 35:04they can enjoy the holidays.
- 35:05They're gonna be enjoying the holidays anyway and
- 35:08Neither the Russians by the way not in
- 35:10that area But you know from Moscow's perspective
- 35:14agreeing to a ceasefire now means stopping while
- 35:17their momentum is At its peak so that
- 35:21momentum could be rebuilt against them and so
- 35:25that logic isn't Ideology it's a military arithmetic
- 35:30in winter.
- 35:31You know is Magnifying it I suppose would
- 35:35be the best word winner is Showing it
- 35:38that it did it that it's there so
- 35:40that brings us to another in my view
- 35:45Real problem, what's the real problem the real
- 35:48problem?
- 35:51It's not winter it's not Seversky it's not
- 35:55even attrition, but the fact and I've said
- 35:59this I can't tell you how many times
- 36:01Since I have started this show you know
- 36:04We're in season two here And I don't
- 36:09know how many Started on this I think
- 36:11it was a show number 240 or something
- 36:13like that 241 that has been that I
- 36:17have done and The problem there isn't any
- 36:21of those things I've talked about this before
- 36:24it's the death of diplomacy itself The diplomacy
- 36:29doesn't exist anymore.
- 36:30I mean think about it It's just not
- 36:34here You know Lavrov kept talking and he
- 36:38was talking about the same stuff when when
- 36:43Tucker Carlson interviewed Putin so long ago when
- 36:50People have talked when when people talk anything
- 36:53about history when the Russians talk about this
- 36:56they go look historically East of the Donbass
- 37:01or east of the Donetsk his Odessa included
- 37:04by the way Which isn't really east of
- 37:07the Donetsk, but Odessa Nikolaeva those two obelisks
- 37:17regions are also Historically Russian the ports in
- 37:22Odessa.
- 37:22They weren't built by by Ukrainians I mean
- 37:25they were built by people who were Lived
- 37:28in in Odessa, but they were in the
- 37:32Russian Imperium Port of Odessa has been Russia
- 37:37Russian for a thousand years Just like Sevastopol,
- 37:42you know, just like any other major Russian
- 37:45port was always Russian And so when they
- 37:48talk about these things, they're they're talking history.
- 37:51They're talking Ports they're talking Shipyards shipbuilding the
- 37:57Black Sea.
- 37:58They're talking the Black Sea access economic arteries
- 38:02and everything those were prime areas of Russia
- 38:07and Soviet Union for a thousand years way
- 38:11before Ukraine, so When you talk about this
- 38:16sort of geography in Russia saying from the
- 38:19beginning look it's historic Russians you Ukrainians keep
- 38:25Demonizing all things Russian and destroying the people
- 38:29and blowing them up, especially post 2014 You
- 38:34know You're destroying your own history for God's
- 38:38sake and there was no separate Ukraine You
- 38:41know there just wasn't it became separate when
- 38:44Khrushchev gave it up, you know and Stalin
- 38:47some before that and They they talk about
- 38:51this history and they go through the history,
- 38:53you know, and when you're talking about geography
- 38:56and History, I mean hell you could argue
- 39:00that in breast which when which is up
- 39:02in Belarus And that was awesome Visit an
- 39:08awesome tour that I went to that was
- 39:11a World War two stronghold was a Stronghold
- 39:15of the Lithuanian Kingdoms Polish kingdoms for a
- 39:23long time and The history there has been
- 39:28overrun Europe The crossings and the wars that
- 39:33have covered Europe have gone on for centuries
- 39:38You know in a place that's you know
- 39:41smaller than the United States And so imagine
- 39:44I mean like our Civil war north and
- 39:48south, you know, we talked about that.
- 39:50That's our war of history Well, how many
- 39:52times is that gone on in Europe?
- 39:55How many times I mean the Mongol hordes
- 39:59crossed through there for God's sake the the
- 40:02Turkish?
- 40:02Empire went through there, you know the Ottoman
- 40:06Empire, you know Ottoman Turks and the The
- 40:11What do you call it Romans Greeks, I
- 40:14mean However far back you want to go
- 40:18this place has been a war zone for
- 40:21centuries And so you might say that it's
- 40:24not fair for Russia to say.
- 40:26Oh gee, that's all Russian Anyway, what are
- 40:28you bitching about and it's not fair for
- 40:30Ukraine to deny that it was you know
- 40:33They were part of the Russian Empire and
- 40:36part of it now the Polish was clearly
- 40:39different, you know They were they're related but
- 40:42not the same the Ukrainians They were you
- 40:45know in the same group with the Russians
- 40:48always historically.
- 40:50They've never had their own Ukrainian country they're
- 40:53trying to change that history now, you know
- 40:55and tell everybody.
- 40:56Oh, no Ukraine was you know, Ukraine?
- 40:59Ukrainian Rus not Russian Rus You know, that's
- 41:03not how it worked so you could argue
- 41:05the semantics of all this but the fact
- 41:08is nobody knows what's gonna happen here and
- 41:12the diplomacy part being dead and compromise being
- 41:21Non-existent You know geography Doesn't compromise, you
- 41:26know throw in the the trouble with my
- 41:29thoughts on diplomacy and diplomacy dying is because
- 41:35you used to be able to get together
- 41:37and come to a resolution by talking by
- 41:42creating a Strategy by coming up with good
- 41:47ideas and there's a couple that have come
- 41:48up here recently That I wanted to talk
- 41:51about the old Z monster Is pushing another
- 41:55one now.
- 41:56He wants to turn the whole Donbass into
- 41:58a Economic zone kind of You know stop
- 42:05hostilities neither one of us get it So
- 42:07that's that's his fallback position neither one of
- 42:10us get the Donbass which are donetsk and
- 42:12Lugansk and they want to you know stop
- 42:15Parisia throw that in there as well and
- 42:17depending on which version you're listening to right
- 42:20and Not that we have lost these territories
- 42:24already from Ukraine you're not hearing that you're
- 42:26still hearing well Wait a minute.
- 42:28If you're forcing us to take territorial losses
- 42:33Let's take a step back here and say
- 42:35well, all right us Well, you just take
- 42:37it over as an economic zone and we'll
- 42:39do that If you give us security guarantees
- 42:41again with the security guarantees, you know, you
- 42:44beat up Russia for us big brother and
- 42:47We'll let you have these security zones you
- 42:50beat up Russia for us big brother and
- 42:53we'll give you you know a hundred billion
- 42:55dollar Resources deal for generations to come Which
- 43:01has already happened so let's talk about the
- 43:05the history of that which unfortunately everybody remembers
- 43:10because Everybody remembers Minsk one in Minsk two
- 43:16For years Minsk was sold as peace, right?
- 43:20This is how they got Putin to not
- 43:23react back in you know 2014 20 I
- 43:27forget which years it was but it's gone
- 43:29on for you know 10-15 years so
- 43:34The Western leaders then, you know three four
- 43:37years ago and even Zelensky admitted it Said
- 43:41the told the truth finally that the agreements
- 43:46that we made in Minsk were never To
- 43:50You know, we're never true.
- 43:52We weren't trying to resolve the matter We
- 43:56were buying time And they've been pretty upfront
- 44:00about it and that admission that admission more
- 44:05than anything else when you look between Russia
- 44:10and Europe and you know the West completely
- 44:14the globalist West That admission by the parties
- 44:19involved France Germany Ukraine three of the four
- 44:24That admission killed any Trust and that is
- 44:29what we're dealing with right now Okay from
- 44:33Moscow's point of view from Lavrov's point of
- 44:36view.
- 44:36He was there.
- 44:37He remembers it You know the the new
- 44:39guy on the block, you know, the Rubio's
- 44:42of the world the Trump's the world Although
- 44:44Trump, you know knew about all these things
- 44:47before from his previous term in office so
- 44:51from Moscow's point of view Minsk is proof
- 44:55another another Look what you did last time.
- 44:59It's proof that diplomacy is really just another
- 45:03weapon just another tool of the globalist elites
- 45:09if you know Diplomacy as they call it,
- 45:12you know Western diplomacy and Lavrov brings it
- 45:16up as a weird warning pretty frequently basically,
- 45:19he says You already admitted that you lied
- 45:23to us the last two times Minsk one
- 45:26and Minsk two Why in the world should
- 45:29we believe you again that this ceasefire is
- 45:31just you know We're gonna end the conflict,
- 45:35you know, that's you know, they don't want
- 45:38to do just a ceasefire They want to
- 45:40end the conflict Russia says we will talk.
- 45:43We'll continue talking and we will talk to
- 45:45end the conflict That's what we will do,
- 45:49but we won't give you a ceasefire to
- 45:51regroup reform resupply Everything like that because we
- 45:59don't trust you because diplomacy you use, you
- 46:04know diplomacy as a platitude to To trick
- 46:08us which is what you did in Minsk
- 46:10one and Minsk two and then just admitted
- 46:12We mean the question has no answer, you
- 46:15know, there is no answer because it's absolutely
- 46:18true This is why ceasefire proposals die on
- 46:23arrival most the time, you know This ceasefire
- 46:26not because peace isn't desired not because you
- 46:29know, they're tired of lives, you know being
- 46:32Lost as well.
- 46:34It's because trust doesn't exist Trust doesn't exist
- 46:38and now take a little bit wider view
- 46:41of this lens a little bit bigger where
- 46:45where on the planet is Western Diplomacy true
- 46:52diplomacy a true diplomat actually functioning Is it
- 46:58working in Europe?
- 46:59No, they're a joke It's fragmented exhausted reactive,
- 47:04you know tweeted, you know, it's oh gee.
- 47:08It's pink It's a pink flower a multicolored
- 47:12rainbow flag, you know, is it working in
- 47:14South America?
- 47:15What's going on South America's any of that
- 47:18diplomacy at all?
- 47:19No, it's it's a big brother says, you
- 47:22know, daddy says and this is what's gonna
- 47:24happen You know, that's not diplomacy is BS.
- 47:28It is working in China No, they're building
- 47:32parallel systems they're going, you know, we've had
- 47:35enough of this, you know, we're not your
- 47:37your your big bad wolf We are not
- 47:39the enemy and you keep wanting to make
- 47:41we just want to live We just want
- 47:43to take care of our people and we've
- 47:45been in you know, they're building Parallel systems
- 47:48nobody's waiting for approval to do this.
- 47:52They're just doing it India told talked about
- 47:55them some yesterday with Jaishankar.
- 47:57They're not aligned They're transactional and they're very
- 48:01patient China's very patient and Time is going
- 48:08on time is continuing and the problem is
- 48:11is the quiet revelations that are always buried
- 48:16in Washington's strategy and discussions, you know, there's
- 48:23there's Quiet things, you know, one of the
- 48:25most exciting things I read in the last
- 48:2824 hours It was and I might share
- 48:31the whole thing with you because I really
- 48:33liked it.
- 48:34In fact, I think I will Let me
- 48:35let me pull this up before you because
- 48:38it is a highly interesting Proposal, where is
- 48:45it?
- 48:46It was allegedly a trumpster deal But I
- 48:50got to find the damn thing There it
- 48:55is, I found it here is the name
- 48:57of the article came out yesterday and It
- 49:02is Titled the US is secretly planning a
- 49:10five-nation club including Russia to sideline the
- 49:16G7 remember the g8 Oh Russia's gonna be
- 49:19invited back to the g8 and he said
- 49:22you're not gonna come You know, we're not
- 49:24interested.
- 49:24What do we care?
- 49:25You know, you booted us out turned into
- 49:27the g7.
- 49:27I don't give a rip and So this
- 49:32group so I'm gonna share the whole article
- 49:34with you because it's really not that long
- 49:35it's a it's a short deal So the
- 49:39u.s. Is secretly planning and I don't
- 49:41know how true this is I haven't had
- 49:43any research just this one story But allegedly
- 49:46the u.s. Is secretly planning to create
- 49:49a five-nation power block With Russia, China,
- 49:54India and Japan To sideline the Western dominated
- 50:00g7 and this is several media outlets have
- 50:03allegedly Reported this this the idea was reportedly
- 50:06outlined in a longer unpublished draft of The
- 50:11US national security strategy that I covered for
- 50:13you a couple of days ago released by
- 50:16the administration of President Trump, you know that
- 50:19came out according to the defense one news
- 50:22portal the version circulated before the White House
- 50:27published the unclassified document and report, you know
- 50:33Reportedly proposed a new group.
- 50:35Hmm a little coffee there dubbed it as
- 50:41the core five as a forum for dialogue
- 50:45among major powers Outside of the traditional g7
- 50:51framework Under this plan the five-nation format
- 50:55would hold regular summits similar to the g7
- 50:58each focused on a theme Middle East security
- 51:03Normalization of relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia
- 51:07one of the first things allegedly to be
- 51:10on the agenda this unpublished version allegedly says
- 51:16And it lays out a plan to downgrade
- 51:19Washington's role in Europe push NATO toward a
- 51:25Tougher burden-sharing model that they've been talking
- 51:29about And focus instead on bilateral ties with
- 51:33the EU governments that are closer to the
- 51:37US places like Austria Hungary Italy Poland and
- 51:42Get away from France Germany England, you know
- 51:47get away from the nut jobs according to
- 51:50Politico White House spokesperson Anna Kelly insisted that
- 51:55No alternative private or classified version exists before
- 52:00beyond the official 33 page plan that I
- 52:03shared with you before The Kremlin says it
- 52:07has seen no official statement from Washington on
- 52:10this reported plan and added that such claims
- 52:14They treat with skepticism So the report comes
- 52:18against a backdrop of a long-running argument
- 52:20about Russia's place in existing Western led groups
- 52:25in 1998 The g7 which is the u
- 52:30.s. The UK France Germany Italy Canada Japan
- 52:34Was expanded to include Russia But Russia was
- 52:38booted out in 2014 after taking Or reunifying
- 52:45Crimea with Russia and Trump has repeatedly said
- 52:48that removing Russia from that group was a
- 52:52big mistake and That had Moscow remained at
- 52:55the table De-escalation of Ukraine you know
- 53:01or the escalation in 2022, you know with
- 53:04Russia going in and after Referenda in the
- 53:08Donbass could have been present prevented and President
- 53:12Putin said in an interview with India today
- 53:14this month That I quoted for you last
- 53:18week or earlier this week that Russia has
- 53:21no plans to join the g7 and he
- 53:24notes the group, you know that the significance
- 53:27of that group is no longer important anyway,
- 53:30because England France Italy Germany These people it's
- 53:38well Germany.
- 53:39That's not fair a Canada These people are
- 53:42not major economies when you look on the
- 53:45global sphere.
- 53:46And so focusing on them is probably Excuse
- 53:51me is probably a mistake and shouldn't be
- 53:54done that way.
- 53:55It shouldn't shouldn't go that far and So,
- 53:59I don't know.
- 53:59I found that to be interesting and if
- 54:01that really is Trump's idea you know, whether
- 54:05whether it's a core five whether this core
- 54:09five principle is real or not and whether
- 54:11Trump Outlined it or not in a prior
- 54:15version of the security statement The idea is
- 54:21Pretty revealing, you know, it admits what everybody
- 54:24already knows, you know, the old West Centric
- 54:27order doesn't govern reality anyway And if it
- 54:32was being proposed in Washington even Washington is
- 54:36hedging their bets and so You know Washington
- 54:42According to some you know because there was
- 54:45a guy who also wrote an article that
- 54:47his name is Fyodor Lukyanov And he in
- 54:51his article.
- 54:52I'm wondering if I should share that with
- 54:54you as well because it was a pretty
- 54:55good article but basically Well, let's just go
- 55:01with the the start of it He argues
- 55:05that Washington no longer frames Russia as Mordor
- 55:12you know, I'd tell them you bet that
- 55:14you know, they always the Ukrainians always thought
- 55:16it was really fun to call the Russian
- 55:19soldiers orcs and they're not real people.
- 55:22So you just got to kill them and
- 55:24basically What do you do with an orc
- 55:26you kill them they're not people they're not
- 55:28human basically and that was you know the
- 55:30tone is cold that you know, Russia is
- 55:33seen as part of Europe, but You know
- 55:38confined, you know integrated but subordinate right the
- 55:43junior pillar in a reconstructed European house because
- 55:48you know the vision, you know that vision
- 55:51he says Belongs in the past because the
- 55:54big three Russia India China They don't accept
- 55:58it and much of the world doesn't even
- 56:00recognize it anymore You know, they like to
- 56:04talk about Putin being isolated.
- 56:06He's not which brings us to Trump So
- 56:13Trump claims that everybody in Ukraine that was
- 56:16pretty funny quote everybody in Ukraine except Zelensky
- 56:19liked his peace plan, you know his peace
- 56:22plan he warns about World War three and
- 56:25he's pressuring the Z man for Elections, which
- 56:28is you know, I think he's doing so
- 56:31correctly strip away his personality, you know Trump's
- 56:35Excuse me a little bit on the tired
- 56:37side.
- 56:38Well, what Trump is signaling is this That
- 56:42the war there's still no clean off ramp
- 56:45for this war, you know Ceasefire or because
- 56:49even Trump has changed his mind on that
- 56:51over the last six months eight months, you
- 56:53know Well, we need a ceasefire immediate ceasefire.
- 56:55You give me a ceasefire in a week
- 56:57And then it was give me a ceasefire
- 56:58in a month.
- 56:59I want to ceasefire by September 1st You
- 57:01know, I want to ceasefire by Thanksgiving, you
- 57:03know Well, then he changed it after he
- 57:06met with Putin and Putin says listen You're
- 57:08not paying attention a ceasefire only does what
- 57:11we just said and whoever's giving you this
- 57:14advice That tells it tells you that we're
- 57:16going to agree to a ceasefire Are nuts,
- 57:19you know because we've said we're not going
- 57:22to allow you to just to rebuild these
- 57:23and your globalist Well, you know pals over
- 57:26there that aren't really your pals.
- 57:28Mr. Trump They are trying to keep you
- 57:30sucked into this and the way they do
- 57:32it is with a ceasefire because then they
- 57:35can resupply resubmit all the things we've already
- 57:38talked about so Trump now signals that the
- 57:43war doesn't have a clean off ramp.
- 57:44He knows why Territory is the unsolvable variable,
- 57:49you know Old Zalons Zielinski the Z man
- 57:55wants to say that oh geez, we gotta
- 57:57have done best back.
- 57:59They never should took it Well, you never
- 58:00should have bombed the crap out everybody from
- 58:022014 on you never should outlawed Russian, you
- 58:06know It's nonsense you never should have denied
- 58:09your own history and you know forced forced
- 58:15Ukrainization on Ethnic Russians and you know diplomacy
- 58:20is now like, you know, a little perform
- 58:22in dancing Zelensky You know escalation Escalation risk
- 58:30isn't And Escalation is far more likely because
- 58:36of the lack of diplomacy There is no
- 58:39diplomacy Trump even says, you know, geez, we've
- 58:42got to watch out World War three, you
- 58:44know It's right around the corner When World
- 58:46War three doesn't begin with a declaration it
- 58:49begins when nobody Trusts diplomacy enough to really
- 58:56try it and You know Frankly, how can
- 59:01you blame the rest of the world for
- 59:03being fed up with Western style?
- 59:08Democracy, you know and let's talk about this
- 59:14The Don Bass trade zone that Zelensky wanted
- 59:18wanted to talk about a demilitarized free According,
- 59:24you know free according to him, but basically
- 59:27he just wants the u.s. To do
- 59:28it investment instead of shells It sounds you
- 59:33know pragmatic, you know, it's like well, you
- 59:35know, that could be like Trump and Gaza.
- 59:37Oh, geez We're gonna turn this into a
- 59:39resort Great We don't want to resort we
- 59:42want to live in our homes You know,
- 59:44we want to live here without getting a
- 59:46crap bombed out of us or be destroyed
- 59:48by Israel every 10 minutes I don't know.
- 59:50I'm not saying right wrong and different just
- 59:53saying, you know, Trump turned into Trump Trump
- 59:56resort Three is your five or ten or
- 59:58whatever?
- 59:59It is is no is no solution and
- 1:00:02so the Z man is coming up with
- 1:00:04this Z militarized free economic zone, give me
- 1:00:08some investment and Sounds oh gee, you know
- 1:00:11what that might be a pretty good idea,
- 1:00:13but quietly it's admitting something huge military victory
- 1:00:20Of Ukraine of the West is no longer
- 1:00:24assumed.
- 1:00:25It's not presumed they know they're losing so
- 1:00:28peace is being reframed as Economics.
- 1:00:32Well, what idiot wouldn't want to You know
- 1:00:35increase economic economy for everybody Why wouldn't we
- 1:00:41want to go back and you know go
- 1:00:42back to making money and living with each
- 1:00:44other and dealing with things the way They
- 1:00:45should be but you can't build the trade
- 1:00:48zone without sovereignty Somebody has to be in
- 1:00:52charge security guarantees.
- 1:00:54I mean who's gonna be in charge u
- 1:00:56.s Do you think Russia would allow that
- 1:01:00I don't think so it gives them exactly
- 1:01:03what they've what they've been saying they don't
- 1:01:05want the whole thing, you know instead of
- 1:01:07the NATO on the on the shores of
- 1:01:12Western Russia or the border of Western Russia
- 1:01:15you get all of America, but you don't
- 1:01:17put in your nuclear bombs You know if
- 1:01:19you wish and and what about security guarantees
- 1:01:22and legitimacy precisely what Diplomacy has failed to
- 1:01:28resolve for years.
- 1:01:29That's not planning for peace.
- 1:01:31That's post-war fantasy While the war is
- 1:01:37still burning on right and then throw Venezuela
- 1:01:42into that mix so There have been Repeated
- 1:01:48stories here in the last few days after
- 1:01:51the seizing of this tanker.
- 1:01:53I talked a little bit about that up
- 1:01:54there to go Where Putin is backing Maduro
- 1:01:59as the u.s. Seized the tanker and
- 1:02:02deploys more Navy assets Sanctions, you know meet
- 1:02:06sovereignty claims power is answering to the pressure
- 1:02:10same Logic in a different theater Diplomacy completely
- 1:02:18replaced by leverage, you know Storms don't negotiate
- 1:02:26Winter doesn't pause war Geography doesn't forgive mistakes,
- 1:02:32you know geographies geography Minsk taught the world
- 1:02:36that diplomacy is deception or a huge part
- 1:02:40of it is Deception remember me telling you
- 1:02:43about a game.
- 1:02:44I used to play Learned it in high
- 1:02:46school from my German teacher Can't remember a
- 1:02:51name fro from something my brother would remember
- 1:02:53because we played these Game game is called
- 1:02:57diplomacy meant many people have played the game
- 1:03:00risk imagine a game of risk, but no
- 1:03:04dice, right and And You have eight ten
- 1:03:08players, you know each a different country making
- 1:03:10alliances starts around World War one and you
- 1:03:14you know, you ease through up through World
- 1:03:17War two, and it's basically a Lesson in
- 1:03:22how to Negotiate Everybody moves all at the
- 1:03:27same time.
- 1:03:27You you have a Move every 24 hours
- 1:03:32Okay And everybody moves their military or builds
- 1:03:35military or builds fleets build this builds that
- 1:03:39and you go to so if you're Austria
- 1:03:42-Hungary you make an alliance with Germany to
- 1:03:47Protect the common border and you focus on
- 1:03:51building something on On the Mediterranean, you know
- 1:03:56fleet Austria-Hungary gonna build a fleet down
- 1:03:59below Meanwhile, you've made this deal, but France
- 1:04:04is making a separate deal with Germany at
- 1:04:06the same time, you know And and this
- 1:04:09deal is hey We want to come in
- 1:04:12and take a chunk of Austria-Hungary We
- 1:04:14want to take the Austria chunk and push
- 1:04:16Hungary further over You support us in that
- 1:04:19and we'll help you kick the crap out
- 1:04:21of England up on top here because we're
- 1:04:24you know, it's make sense to us and
- 1:04:27so you make all your Negotiations and the
- 1:04:30game is called diplomacy, right?
- 1:04:32And so you make all your Negotiations your
- 1:04:35moves and then everybody comes in and finds
- 1:04:37out who's truthful and who's not Who screwed
- 1:04:41who and every turn somebody got screwed every
- 1:04:44turn somebody is there.
- 1:04:46Well, this is All that is going on
- 1:04:49these days is the exact same thing and
- 1:04:52Russia has been the recipient of the lies
- 1:04:54So many times I quit playing you know
- 1:04:58about about Halfway through the year.
- 1:05:01I was like jeez, you know, I I
- 1:05:04Don't want to have a discussion with you
- 1:05:06One day and then the next day Find
- 1:05:09out that you were lying to me and
- 1:05:11then have you want to come back to
- 1:05:12me and discuss another deal Well, no, it's
- 1:05:15a different way things have changed now, you
- 1:05:17know, I already taken England, you know, I
- 1:05:19would I would now I'll help you support
- 1:05:21and I only did it so that I
- 1:05:23could support them and you're listening to all
- 1:05:25their justifications for why they screwed you the
- 1:05:27time before right and Unfortunately, Russia has been
- 1:05:31the recipient of that Method of diplomacy too
- 1:05:37many times It's history for them.
- 1:05:40You know, they got screwed the whole way
- 1:05:42We're there.
- 1:05:43We're we're allies with them America England Everybody
- 1:05:48is Russia helps defeat Hitler.
- 1:05:51What happened right after that?
- 1:05:54What happened?
- 1:05:56Russia starts trusting him Russia became the enemy
- 1:05:59more than I mean Geez, if anybody should
- 1:06:02have never been included back into the fold.
- 1:06:04It should have been Germany, right?
- 1:06:06No, it was Russia, you know, it was
- 1:06:09everybody hates Russia and they continued in and
- 1:06:12so this is a long-term History lesson
- 1:06:15for you and a diplomacy lesson.
- 1:06:17Do you want to say in Russia doesn't
- 1:06:20trust anybody?
- 1:06:21Well, all you gotta do is check out
- 1:06:23history Minsk one Minsk to Budapest Accords Go
- 1:06:27back further.
- 1:06:28Keep on trucking.
- 1:06:29You go all the way back thousand years
- 1:06:31You could talk about the Lithuanian Empire when
- 1:06:34they were talking, you know, cuz they had
- 1:06:36agreements with with Poland You can talk about
- 1:06:39what occurred in Brest and how many times
- 1:06:41that happened and they were overrun back and
- 1:06:43forth because that was the Western Half well,
- 1:06:45you didn't talk about it with Ukraine and
- 1:06:47where where Russia was and how many to
- 1:06:49I mean geez they go back Putin even
- 1:06:51talks about Napoleon, you know going back and
- 1:06:54they know their history far far better than
- 1:06:56I do for God's sake and so this
- 1:06:59trust the currency of trust is gone and
- 1:07:04It's I don't know what he what what
- 1:07:06are we gonna do about it seriously and
- 1:07:09diplomacy is dead you know when you're Putin
- 1:07:11and you're and you're and and I talked
- 1:07:14about this yesterday when I talked about the
- 1:07:16seizure of the Vessel now, we know it
- 1:07:19was seized in Venezuelan waters, you know that
- 1:07:23it was off the coast of Venezuela.
- 1:07:25You can't do that That's you know That's
- 1:07:27a war act is what that is and
- 1:07:30and we justify it by claiming sanctions and
- 1:07:32claiming all this other crap And I get
- 1:07:35the arguments I get it, but I also
- 1:07:38think that It is erosion of even more
- 1:07:43on a much larger picture Because the rest
- 1:07:46of the world is looking at this and
- 1:07:48they aren't going.
- 1:07:49Oh, gee the US is the cool kids
- 1:07:51And they're doing us a favor.
- 1:07:52They're going we're next That's what's happening we're
- 1:07:57next and and and I don't know that
- 1:07:59this makes it a Better more safe world
- 1:08:05frankly, I Tend to believe not, you know
- 1:08:09that it pushes us closer to the brink
- 1:08:12To you know, people do talk about this
- 1:08:15potential for World War three You know this
- 1:08:20stealing of the Russian assets, you know, we
- 1:08:23have FICO FICO, I don't know how you
- 1:08:26pronounce it, but Slovakia Won't back a reparations
- 1:08:30loan for Kiev Proposed by the European Commission,
- 1:08:34so Shared that with you a couple of
- 1:08:38days ago.
- 1:08:38And now excuse me now England is doing
- 1:08:41more and more pushing to Come to a
- 1:08:48resolution of this and Here here's here's an
- 1:08:52article from the Financial Times, right lenders fear
- 1:08:57retaliatory Lawsuits from Moscow British bankers have pushed
- 1:09:01back Against the plans to use frozen Russian
- 1:09:05assets I think some people are finally starting
- 1:09:07to get it if we have rules the
- 1:09:10rules should be followed if You don't follow
- 1:09:13the rules Everybody recognizes it, you know, if
- 1:09:18you're if you have kids and your parent
- 1:09:22and You recommend to your kids boy.
- 1:09:25Don't smoke.
- 1:09:26Don't drink.
- 1:09:27Don't use drugs.
- 1:09:27Don't do these things, but You smoke you
- 1:09:31drink you use drugs Your kids see it
- 1:09:34and that incongruent see Doesn't do you any
- 1:09:38favors, you know, if you're not practicing what
- 1:09:41you preach well You're gonna run into some
- 1:09:44problems and that wouldn't on a world level.
- 1:09:47It's an even larger problem British bankers are
- 1:09:51pushing back Kiv's Western backers have frozen 300
- 1:09:56billion dollars in Russian Central Bank assets, right
- 1:09:59UK banks hold around 10.7 billion dollars
- 1:10:05and the dispute has emerged between between Europe
- 1:10:09Pushing to use these funds as collateral for
- 1:10:11an alleged reparations loan as if Russia owes
- 1:10:16reparations, right and Those that are firmly opposed
- 1:10:21to this that talk about the legal and
- 1:10:24financial risk Moscow says it's theft I say
- 1:10:27the same According to the Financial Times now
- 1:10:31UK bankers have objected to the plan Although
- 1:10:34a week ago, they were all for it.
- 1:10:37They now say we're concerned about the legality
- 1:10:41Really?
- 1:10:42That's cuz that's cuz it's illegal.
- 1:10:44That's cuz it's illegal to seize a ship
- 1:10:47on the water It's you know You can't
- 1:10:49do that The government is setting new precedent
- 1:10:51because they have never seized assets in this
- 1:10:54type of way Said one banker and Russia
- 1:10:57will sue them The legal risk is that
- 1:11:01if Ukraine doesn't pay the money back You
- 1:11:03need to repossess an asset that the government
- 1:11:06says is yours But Russia says is not
- 1:11:08the expectation is that this is not a
- 1:11:11loan But a gift and banks know they
- 1:11:14will need to repossess the underlying collateral They
- 1:11:17know Ukraine's not gonna pay this back.
- 1:11:19So where would the money come?
- 1:11:21We'll steal it from Russia and the bankers
- 1:11:24warned that this would be a certain default
- 1:11:27event Left out, you know, the banks will
- 1:11:30be left out to dry when Russia sues
- 1:11:33Because Russia will win because it's illegal UK
- 1:11:37officials declined to say whether the government is
- 1:11:39gonna offer them any indemnity So those are
- 1:11:42the UK bankers, but the UK government is
- 1:11:45saying that they will do Why don't they
- 1:11:47just give if they're gonna do that you
- 1:11:49give the money to Ukraine?
- 1:11:51The UK's plans for the assets are coordinated
- 1:11:55Which holds most of the fun, you know
- 1:11:57with the EU the funds and on Friday
- 1:11:59The block is due to vote on a
- 1:12:02move to indefinitely Immobilize the share of assets
- 1:12:05in the jurisdiction Europe Under an emergency legal
- 1:12:10mechanism that would keep the funds frozen until
- 1:12:13Russia pays reparations to Ukraine analysts say this
- 1:12:18clause would override objections from countries opposed like
- 1:12:23Hungary EU states are set to vote next
- 1:12:27week Belgium, which holds the funds as says
- 1:12:30It's against the move France Luxembourg Germany, Italy
- 1:12:33Hungary Slovakia have objected as well But you
- 1:12:37know there they might do it.
- 1:12:39Anyway, I tell you what If you ever
- 1:12:43want to Cure things you ever want to
- 1:12:47talk about diplomacy.
- 1:12:48You ever want to talk about rules based
- 1:12:50order Hillary Clinton last week in Doha You
- 1:12:56got to apply the same rules to everybody,
- 1:12:58right You got to do it and the
- 1:13:02trouble is is we never do and thus
- 1:13:06Diplomacy is dead Diplomacy doesn't exist and it
- 1:13:12doesn't exist because nobody pays attention to it.
- 1:13:16Do they?
- 1:13:18it just I Don't know Somebody needs to
- 1:13:23do something a little bit different than what
- 1:13:26they are Let's see remember me yesterday talking
- 1:13:32to you about engineers And In an India
- 1:13:39China Russia and the huge amount that they
- 1:13:43have I Wanted to follow up a little
- 1:13:47bit on that 1.4 billion Population in
- 1:13:55India and India and Russia, you know, I
- 1:14:00talked to you a little bit about this
- 1:14:01yesterday.
- 1:14:02They share a lengthy relationship the special and
- 1:14:07privileged Strategic partnership between Russia and India has
- 1:14:13been growing steadily under Narendra Modi and Vladimir
- 1:14:17Putin and President Putin visited India on the
- 1:14:214th and the 5th.
- 1:14:22He attended the 23rd India-Russia annual summit
- 1:14:27During the visit the leaders took part in
- 1:14:30an Indian India-Russia business forum They highlighted
- 1:14:34opportunities and bilateral trade finance investment The visit
- 1:14:39was a significant milestone in the relationship and
- 1:14:43they signed 16 memorandums of understanding and agreements
- 1:14:47across seven fields including migration and mobility as
- 1:14:54noted by Prime Minister Modi India is emerging
- 1:14:58as The skill capital of the world with
- 1:15:03more than get this more than 600 million
- 1:15:08workers India's young talent has the potential to
- 1:15:14meet global requirements in every field.
- 1:15:17He said and underscores the importance in India's
- 1:15:22growth story Modi called for a complete reform
- 1:15:26of labor laws into four Functional codes and
- 1:15:29these codes are based upon the principle one
- 1:15:32nation one law covering four broad spheres of
- 1:15:37labor wages industrial relations Social Security and occupational
- 1:15:42safety so in November 2025 the government of
- 1:15:47India Implemented these four new codes the code
- 1:15:51on wages 2019 standardizes the definition of wage
- 1:15:55worker employee and introduces a legally binding floor
- 1:15:59wage for consistent pay across states the industrial
- 1:16:04relations code proposes a balanced framework that benefits
- 1:16:08workers employees and economy creating a worker Reskilled
- 1:16:13fund for workers who have to be retrenched
- 1:16:15short-term relief unemployment stuff like that, so
- 1:16:21Tell you what they are changing rapidly and
- 1:16:26India has paid special attention to empowering women
- 1:16:30Through these reforms by reinforcing the principle of
- 1:16:34equal pay for equal work allowing women to
- 1:16:37participate in all sorts of work including night
- 1:16:40shifts and Offering the option to work from
- 1:16:43home for those returning from maternity leave By
- 1:16:46creating these nationwide reforms and aligning labor law
- 1:16:50with the present economy These reforms reduce the
- 1:16:55compliance burden and help in attracting foreign investment
- 1:17:00including investment from Russia Russian companies interested in
- 1:17:04the Indian market will greatly benefit from simplified
- 1:17:09Recruitment rules and ease of doing business the
- 1:17:13reforms focus on reskilled labor all of these
- 1:17:17measures will greatly assist Russian companies to Manufacture
- 1:17:23in India and partner with Indian companies they
- 1:17:27are I say this because they're continuing to
- 1:17:30grow as India marches toward realizing its dream
- 1:17:34of Vixit Bharat developed India and becoming a
- 1:17:39ten trillion dollar economy by 2047 These reforms
- 1:17:43will become a key pillar in the growth
- 1:17:45story and benefit the partner countries in Eurasia
- 1:17:49these reforms reflect Narendra Modi's principle of reform
- 1:17:54perform and transform and India's commitment toward achieving
- 1:17:59inclusive sustainable growth So, I mean there's a
- 1:18:04lot going on in India and You know
- 1:18:11Trump, did you see that he had the
- 1:18:13old JT?
- 1:18:17J are I was reading and say same
- 1:18:20thing.
- 1:18:20I think he said something about it and
- 1:18:23if he didn't he should the 1 million
- 1:18:25dollar by your citizenship in By your citizenship
- 1:18:30in America so you can get a visa
- 1:18:32for a million bucks Maybe that's a good
- 1:18:35idea.
- 1:18:36I don't know bring some money, but who
- 1:18:38gets it Who gets to pay is the
- 1:18:43million bucks split among, you know Americans we
- 1:18:46each get a quarter or something Any adult
- 1:18:49or is a government get it if the
- 1:18:51government get it screw that I mean, so
- 1:18:53what?
- 1:18:54hmm So for years there's been in immigration
- 1:18:58in America a type of visa based upon
- 1:19:03Investment that's been around a long time And
- 1:19:07so if you came over and employed a
- 1:19:10certain number of people Invested in a business
- 1:19:13of this, you know that would employ this
- 1:19:15many people Created a new business that employed
- 1:19:19this many people you would get a visa
- 1:19:24Automatically, you know if you came over and
- 1:19:27created a new company and I mean that
- 1:19:30that number has gone up over the years
- 1:19:32and it used to be a function of
- 1:19:34the Income growth each year, you know what?
- 1:19:41I mean?
- 1:19:42Yeah, it had to be a Certain number
- 1:19:45of employees 10 15 employees something like that
- 1:19:48or a certain level of investment Two million
- 1:19:51dollar business three million dollar construction project blah
- 1:19:55blah blah, you know Whatever those were and
- 1:19:58you would get those approved.
- 1:19:59So the The it was always available.
- 1:20:04It just I Don't know where that I
- 1:20:08don't know enough about this million bucks right
- 1:20:10now that Trump is is sending out We
- 1:20:15shall see And there was one other thing,
- 1:20:19you know that I wanted to recover Recover
- 1:20:22we wanted to cover is Trump's AI deregulation
- 1:20:30US President Trump signed an executive order Thursday
- 1:20:35to curb individual state level regulation of AI
- 1:20:41until a nationwide policy is adopted a Fragmented
- 1:20:46legal landscape threatens America's AI Competitiveness compared to
- 1:20:51China said the US government The administration wants
- 1:20:56to avoid a scenario in which a patchwork
- 1:20:59of 50 different regulatory schemes Governs what it
- 1:21:03views as an inherently interstate industry Trump's advisor
- 1:21:07in the field David Sachs explained on X
- 1:21:10an AI model can be created in one
- 1:21:14state trained in another deployed nationwide Sachs said
- 1:21:17that there are more that more than 100
- 1:21:20AI related laws are already in force at
- 1:21:24the state level with over a thousand additional
- 1:21:27measures pending at best we will end up
- 1:21:31with 50 different AI models for 50 different
- 1:21:35states a regulatory Problem worse than Europe Trump
- 1:21:43directed the Department of Justice to challenge one
- 1:21:46state one state court law deemed onerous Washington
- 1:21:51will also use federal grants and government contracts
- 1:21:55To encourage states to align with federal policy
- 1:21:58The measures are described as temporary pending the
- 1:22:03adoption by Congress of a minimally burden some
- 1:22:07national standard for the regulation of a The
- 1:22:12White House is cited ideological concerns accusing Democrat
- 1:22:17states of imposing woke constraints on AI developers
- 1:22:22such as requirements aimed at preventing algorithmic discrimination
- 1:22:29This type of ideology meddling is how we
- 1:22:32ended up with black George Washington Sachs wrote
- 1:22:36Referencing a widely publicized situation last year in
- 1:22:39which Google's Gemini image generator Tended to produce
- 1:22:44race swap depictions of historical figures in an
- 1:22:47attempt to maximize diversity Trump administration and US
- 1:22:52tech firms are placing heavy bets on AI
- 1:22:54as a driver of economic growth though critics
- 1:22:58warned that massive investment in the sectors based
- 1:23:02upon Uncertain profit projection and may be inflating
- 1:23:07a market bubble Hmm There are also concerns
- 1:23:12about public backlash as rapid expansion of energy
- 1:23:15intensive data centers needed to run AI has
- 1:23:19driven up electricity prices in many areas Sacks
- 1:23:22emphasized that the new policy would not force
- 1:23:25communities to host data centers that they do
- 1:23:28not want How do you like that I
- 1:23:35tell you what I think what I'm gonna
- 1:23:38do for you today is I am In
