- 1:17- Prayer isn't simply something we do. It's how
- 1:20- we walk with God every day.
- 1:34- Welcome to the divine five one five podcast.
- 1:38- Here is today's prayer.
- 1:45- Hello, and welcome to divine five one five
- 1:48- daily prayers with Valerie Rocha.
- 1:51- Today, I'm gonna be talking about
- 1:54- how to pray for healing broken relationships.
- 1:59- Scripture I'm gonna be coming from today is
- 2:01- Colossians three thirteen. It says,
- 2:03- bear with each other and forgive one another.
- 2:06- Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
- 2:10- Now
- 2:12- broken relationships
- 2:14- rarely
- 2:15- happen overnight.
- 2:18- I mean,
- 2:19- if you're human somewhere in your life, you're
- 2:22- gonna have some type of broken relationship,
- 2:25- whether it's the relationship with your parents
- 2:28- relationship
- 2:28- with,
- 2:30- friends, someone at work,
- 2:32- or maybe even it's with yourself.
- 2:37- Misunderstandings,
- 2:38- disappointment,
- 2:39- pride, and unresolved hurts slowly create distance.
- 2:43- I'd liken it to a slow drip in
- 2:47- a bucket.
- 2:48- Doesn't overflow the bucket immediately, but given enough
- 2:51- time and not addressed,
- 2:53- you will have a mess on your hands.
- 2:57- And
- 2:58- because if you leave these
- 3:01- situations
- 3:01- unattended,
- 3:03- those wounds
- 3:04- become barriers that keep us from experiencing the
- 3:07- peace God desires for us.
- 3:10- Now
- 3:12- I suppose the comforting thing about it is
- 3:14- is that the first broken relationship
- 3:17- that any of us experienced, whether we knew
- 3:20- it or not, was with God
- 3:22- and the element of of sin that played
- 3:24- a part
- 3:25- in the in the,
- 3:27- in the kingdom.
- 3:29- But what I love about
- 3:32- even that situation is
- 3:34- I always think God doesn't have moments, and
- 3:37- nothing takes them by surprise.
- 3:39- So regardless of whatever the broken relationship
- 3:42- is,
- 3:44- he's made a way to restore it through
- 3:47- the love and blood of Jesus Christ. And
- 3:50- when we accept
- 3:51- that
- 3:52- blessing,
- 3:55- it doesn't matter how difficult it is
- 3:58- or or
- 3:59- the level of intensity. God will get us
- 4:01- through it. Now that doesn't necessarily mean that
- 4:04- the relationship
- 4:06- will
- 4:07- meant.
- 4:09- The change might not come in the relationship
- 4:12- from between you and the other person,
- 4:15- but it might come for you in the
- 4:18- sense that he will show you how to
- 4:19- cope and deal with it and how to
- 4:21- heal from it.
- 4:23- So
- 4:24- take heart,
- 4:26- know that
- 4:28- forgiveness
- 4:30- is not
- 4:31- necessarily for the other person, but it is
- 4:34- definitely
- 4:35- for you.
- 4:36- So
- 4:37- armor up,
- 4:38- lay down everything
- 4:41- that so easily
- 4:43- distracts you, holds you down, holds you back,
- 4:47- and is trying to keep you from
- 4:49- fulfilling the purpose that God has for your
- 4:51- life.
- 4:52- That being said, let's pray together.
- 4:57- Heavenly father,
- 4:58- search our heart and reveal any relationship that
- 5:01- needs your healing touch.
- 5:03- Give us the humility to forgive as you
- 5:06- have forgiven us and the courage to seek
- 5:08- peace whenever possible.
- 5:11- Heal wounds that words alone cannot repair.
- 5:14- Help us respond with grace instead of resentment
- 5:18- and compassion instead of pride.
- 5:21- And lastly, let your love guide every conversation,
- 5:24- and
- 5:26- we will bless you in Jesus name. Amen.
- 5:30- Well, healthy relationships begin with surrendered hearts.
- 5:35- So remember to give God your yes.
- 5:38- And if you're ready to grow alongside other
- 5:40- believers who are pursuing Christ
- 5:43- together,
- 5:44- learn more about the inner chamber community at
- 5:47- divine515.com.
- 5:51- And until tomorrow,
- 5:52- keep meeting God at the throne
- 5:55- because prayer isn't something
- 5:57- that we
- 5:58- simply do.
- 6:00- It's how we walk with God every
- 6:09- day.
