- 0:00Speaker 1: Riches in New York doing the show for New York
- 0:01Speaker 1: because his daughter graduating. And you were talking about rich
- 0:04Speaker 1: how she knows her way around New York City now right.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Yeah, all the subways and you know how you see
- 0:09Speaker 2: New Yorkers like they just have a sense about when
- 0:12Speaker 2: to walk across the street. Like she'll she'll hop a
- 0:15Speaker 2: light that's not turning for another ten seconds. It's like,
- 0:17Speaker 2: it's fine, let's go. And she moves so fast that
- 0:21Speaker 2: I feel like I'm almost half jogging to keep up
- 0:23Speaker 2: with her. She is a New Yorker.
- 0:24Speaker 1: Well, I saw this article. It says do you think
- 0:27Speaker 1: you have good street smarts? And articles going viral because
- 0:29Speaker 1: they got some great life saving tips from people who
- 0:32Speaker 1: take pride in being careful. And I was reading this,
- 0:35Speaker 1: I thought this is good stuff for anybody when and
- 0:37Speaker 1: some of that I didn't even think about, Like when
- 0:39Speaker 1: you're traveling, act like you are a resident of that city.
- 0:43Speaker 1: Dress the way they dress, map out your walking route,
- 0:45Speaker 1: and walk briskly like you know the city. Especially in
- 0:48Speaker 1: New York City, everyone walks.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Fast and they're not doing what I'm doing and stopping
- 0:53Speaker 2: to take pictures of things like the because I want
- 0:56Speaker 2: to show Kyle the huge Louis Vuitton building they just finished.
- 0:59Speaker 2: It's fifteen stories high and it's a giant Louis baton bag.
- 1:04Speaker 2: That's cool. Yeah, I have a picture, But then everybody
- 1:08Speaker 2: looks at me like, oh, that guy's from out of town.
- 1:10Speaker 2: There so many tours in New York that you would
- 1:12Speaker 2: kind of just blend in with all the others. Yeah.
- 1:14Speaker 2: I don't want to look like a tourist. I want
- 1:16Speaker 2: to look like I belong here. I want to look
- 1:17Speaker 2: like a tough Italian guy.
- 1:19Speaker 1: If you if an armed robber confronts you, give them
- 1:22Speaker 1: whatever they want. Don't be a hero. That's a good
- 1:25Speaker 1: way to get killed. But if someone tries to abduct you,
- 1:28Speaker 1: fight for your life. Once you're in a vehicle, your
- 1:31Speaker 1: chances of survival plummet.
- 1:33Speaker 2: That's scary.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Someone tries to abduct you, fight for the love of
- 1:39Speaker 1: all that is seen. Do not buy a phone cover
- 1:42Speaker 1: that can also hold your money, credit cards, and ID
- 1:46Speaker 1: This has got to be the worst thing ever invented.
- 1:48Speaker 1: You lose everything in one fell swoop. I think my
- 1:50Speaker 1: kids at one of those.
- 1:51Speaker 2: That's a good point, not a good idea for me,
- 1:53Speaker 2: because I lose my phone on a daily basis true
- 1:55Speaker 2: all the time.
- 1:56Speaker 1: When ubering, always verify the driver and vehicle, including the
- 2:00Speaker 1: plight number. Ask them for their name and whether they
- 2:02Speaker 1: know where you're going, paying attention to the rout taking
- 2:04Speaker 1: to get there.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Well, just ask them if they know who you're picking up.
- 2:08Speaker 2: They usually say your name right away. Then you know
- 2:10Speaker 2: if they're legit or not.
- 2:11Speaker 1: This person says, when I travel, if someone gets too close,
- 2:15Speaker 1: as if they might pickpocket me, I talk very loudly.
- 2:18Speaker 1: I might say something like excuse me, can I have
- 2:21Speaker 1: some space in a very loud voice. Also, after parking
- 2:25Speaker 1: your car in your garage, make sure the garage door
- 2:28Speaker 1: closes all the way before going inside. It's easy for
- 2:31Speaker 1: someone to trip a sensor, open the car door, open
- 2:33Speaker 1: the door back up without you knowing they go inside.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Creepy.
- 2:36Speaker 1: A few other things, but hey, I mean those are
- 2:39Speaker 1: those are some great life saving tips, you know. I
- 2:41Speaker 1: also heard like if someone if if somebody is trying
- 2:44Speaker 1: to assault you and you're a woman, to yell fire.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Have you ever heard that before?
- 2:47Speaker 2: Yeah? Because yeah, because everyone's going to look for a fire.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Yeah, yell fire. And I also heard and it's hard
- 2:53Speaker 1: to do this nowadays with the way them that they
- 2:54Speaker 1: make car keys, but you carry your key in between
- 2:56Speaker 1: your finger.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Yeah, something happens to somebody in the face. That's what's
- 2:59Speaker 2: so tough though, because a lot of people just have
- 3:01Speaker 2: the push to start key, it's not as easy.
- 3:04Speaker 1: So someone comes and tries to rob you, and your
- 3:06Speaker 1: car starts.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Going back to the yelling fire thing. It's like they're
- 3:10Speaker 2: looking for a fire, not you getting abducted.
- 3:12Speaker 1: But they start going, who's who's yelling fire? There's no fires,
- 3:15Speaker 1: and they see the person getting abducted or assaulted and
- 3:17Speaker 1: whatever is what they say.
- 3:18Speaker 2: So speaking the car keys, though, Peyton, that's why I
- 3:21Speaker 2: got you and Kyle. Those tactical pins music right there
- 3:26Speaker 2: there you go, Dack somebody with this for sure.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Jack, somebody's face up good with that. So those are
- 3:31Speaker 1: some survival tips. If you got any more shoes to text,
- 3:33Speaker 1: text JJR and whatever. Those survival tips are to nine
- 3:35Speaker 1: six eight nine three
