- 0:14Speaker 2: of toilet paper. I put in those bedays also known
- 0:17Speaker 2: as as blasters in my toilets.
- 0:19Speaker 3: We had several listeners who said that they too have
- 0:22Speaker 3: installed the days.
- 0:24Speaker 2: No, no, they're called the ass Blasters. It's right there,
- 0:26Speaker 2: the name literally on the tape.
- 0:28Speaker 3: That's the brand name.
- 0:29Speaker 1: Yes, the ass Blaster.
- 0:32Speaker 4: And now handle on the news, ladies and gentlemen, here's
- 0:36Speaker 4: Bill handle.
- 0:41Speaker 1: It's Friday, tgi q b l ZT.
- 0:48Speaker 2: You bet you very Friday is always fight Friday. Of course,
- 0:53Speaker 2: we end the week the eight thirty, the eight o'clock
- 0:57Speaker 2: hour with Foody Friday and ask Candle anything. If you
- 1:00Speaker 2: don't happen to listen during that time, go to the
- 1:03Speaker 2: iHeartRadio app and the podcast because that is so much fun. Okay,
- 1:10Speaker 2: hello to one and all, Will good morning to you,
- 1:13Speaker 2: Good morning, Bill, good morning.
- 1:15Speaker 1: We start with you. Yeah, exactly.
- 1:19Speaker 2: They they're no longer around, are they, Neil TGIF's yeah.
- 1:23Speaker 4: I think they have a couple of Fridays still in existence.
- 1:26Speaker 4: I think there's still one in West Covina.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Maybe that's so weird where they have one or two
- 1:33Speaker 2: restaurants left out of hundreds that.
- 1:35Speaker 4: Were out bizarre and they were great. They're just huge,
- 1:38Speaker 4: these places.
- 1:38Speaker 2: I love tgif. I mean, they're just it's fun. You
- 1:41Speaker 2: talk about bar food effectively, it's the best.
- 1:46Speaker 4: They had these massive salads, like with fried chicken on them,
- 1:50Speaker 4: and it's like it's so unsalady.
- 1:53Speaker 5: It's great too.
- 1:54Speaker 2: And whatever happened to Claim Jumper. God, I love that restaurant.
- 1:59Speaker 5: Oh yeah, we used to have one across the street
- 2:01Speaker 5: from the station.
- 2:03Speaker 1: I haven't seen one in years.
- 2:09Speaker 2: Would order, you would order, it would be a a
- 2:11Speaker 2: plate and it feeds eight people if you order one plate.
- 2:16Speaker 1: And the chocolate cake stood what two feet tall?
- 2:20Speaker 5: You used to be able to get that in the
- 2:21Speaker 5: frozen food section too.
- 2:23Speaker 2: It was just it was wonderful. So anyway, and we
- 2:26Speaker 2: have a story about cracker barrel coming up a little
- 2:28Speaker 2: bit later on and how many of those are falling apart,
- 2:31Speaker 2: and it's kind of an interesting it's kind of a
- 2:33Speaker 2: fun story and that is coming up. Oh wait, it's
- 2:38Speaker 2: fun because of what wells as a result of that.
- 2:43Speaker 2: But this is the fun part of it. Okay, Cono,
- 2:45Speaker 2: good morning. Did you get a haircut? Not that you
- 2:49Speaker 2: can talk?
- 2:50Speaker 1: Yeah, there you go. Okay, so good. This is why
- 2:55Speaker 1: Cono is not behind the mic.
- 2:58Speaker 2: Okay, and so there Amy, which we've already said hello to.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Hi, and and last and certainly not or maybe least
- 3:08Speaker 1: or moderately, can you just be nice? No, I hate you.
- 3:14Speaker 5: We all love you.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Ann I know we all love you, don't we? Yes,
- 3:19Speaker 2: we do love it pretty much. Is yeah, it is.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Okay. We've got a lot going on. The deal has
- 3:27Speaker 1: not yet been cut, has it.
- 3:29Speaker 2: We're waiting any moment for that Senate House bill actually
- 3:33Speaker 2: in the Senate to fund the government, because that ends
- 3:36Speaker 2: the government runs out of money, doesn't run out of money.
- 3:39Speaker 2: You can't spend any money, can't borrow money and spend money.
- 3:44Speaker 2: When the fiscal year runs out and that happens tomorrow,
- 3:48Speaker 2: or when the budget year runs out, and that happens
- 3:50Speaker 2: tomorrow or tonight at midnight, there ain't no money. It's
- 3:55Speaker 2: really weird how it works with the federal government. Federal
- 3:58Speaker 2: government prints money. Government's all over the place print money,
- 4:02Speaker 2: except Ecuador, you know, Ecuador. The official Well here's a
- 4:05Speaker 2: little factoid. Do you know what the official currency of
- 4:07Speaker 2: Ecuador is the official legal currency, the dollar, and they
- 4:12Speaker 2: don't print the dollar, they don't print any money. It
- 4:15Speaker 2: is the dollar, the US dollar. Yeah, of course that
- 4:20Speaker 2: because you are not in the obscure factoid world.
- 4:24Speaker 5: Yeah I'm a good driver.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Yeah, there you are in any case.
- 4:29Speaker 2: So here you have the US government printing money, and
- 4:33Speaker 2: it has to be really careful about how much money
- 4:36Speaker 2: to print because inflation, you know, you go beyond it,
- 4:39Speaker 2: walking that very fine line, and so it runs out
- 4:42Speaker 2: of money. Okay, end dear, Okay, we voted ourselves a budget,
- 4:46Speaker 2: which means that the money has to be borrowed because
- 4:51Speaker 2: there is no surplus at all. We're in deficit hundreds
- 4:55Speaker 2: of billions and sometimes are trillion dollars, and so it
- 4:59Speaker 2: has to borrow. When it doesn't when it stops itself
- 5:02Speaker 2: from borrowing money and spending money, it has to do both,
- 5:07Speaker 2: then the government shuts down. That's the government shut down,
- 5:11Speaker 2: and there's a move to not even have borrowing. Just
- 5:14Speaker 2: it goes unlimited for the rest of your rest of
- 5:17Speaker 2: in perpetuity. Government runs out of money, it prints more money,
- 5:20Speaker 2: it borrows more money. Borrowing money is selling t bills,
- 5:25Speaker 2: selling various securities that people all over the world buy,
- 5:29Speaker 2: because as crappy as our economy is, it's still the
- 5:32Speaker 2: best in the world. The other countries are far crappier.
- 5:36Speaker 2: There are few, but they're very small that are in
- 5:38Speaker 2: really good shape. Norway, for example, has the North Sea
- 5:41Speaker 2: Oil which the government owns the oil that's put into
- 5:47Speaker 2: a fund every year, which is why the standard of
- 5:50Speaker 2: living in norwaya so insanely high. Okay, enough of that,
- 5:54Speaker 2: what do you think, God, we started with the show already.
- 5:58Speaker 3: I think we should note bill that even if the
- 6:00Speaker 3: Senate passes it, the House would have to pass it
- 6:04Speaker 3: before midnight. And they can't really unless they really beat
- 6:08Speaker 3: feet and get back there because they're not in session
- 6:10Speaker 3: right now.
- 6:11Speaker 2: Yeah, and I don't know if if Mike Johnson is
- 6:13Speaker 2: willing to have everybody come back, he can call, he
- 6:16Speaker 2: can say, you get what we want you.
- 6:18Speaker 1: But getting on airplanes flying into Washington.
- 6:22Speaker 5: D C.
- 6:23Speaker 3: In the midst of another winter show.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Yeah, and when the airport is shut down, how do
- 6:26Speaker 2: I get how do they get there? He writes, But
- 6:29Speaker 2: a shutdown of a couple of days isn't going to
- 6:30Speaker 2: change much. Shut down of a few days is going
- 6:33Speaker 2: to change much. The majority of shutdowns, and we've had
- 6:36Speaker 2: dozens of them over the last decade or two or
- 6:39Speaker 2: several decades, but a couple of days is in the
- 6:42Speaker 2: end of the world. It's those thirty eight day ones
- 6:44Speaker 2: that are real shockers. Okay, guys, let's do it. It's
- 6:48Speaker 2: time for Handle on the News with Amy Neil and
- 6:52Speaker 2: me and we have two lead stories.
- 6:58Speaker 1: One of them first one, This just happened.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Don Lemon, former CNN anchor, has been arrested taken into
- 7:05Speaker 2: custody as a result of him being involved to whatever
- 7:11Speaker 2: extent the government says, and he says in that church demonstration,
- 7:18Speaker 2: remember when they broke into the church because the pastor
- 7:21Speaker 2: was also an ICE an ICE supervisor. Anyway, he has
- 7:25Speaker 2: been arrested these many weeks afterward. It was a grand
- 7:29Speaker 2: jury indictment they got. So he's arguing that he was
- 7:34Speaker 2: just covering it and arguing he.
- 7:36Speaker 1: Was just a journalist.
- 7:38Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 7:38Speaker 3: I think he said he found out about it when
- 7:40Speaker 3: he got there or something, but there are accusations that
- 7:43Speaker 3: he was like he's been in on the planning or something.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Yeah, it's Don Lemon. Didn't he get tossed for sexual impropriety.
- 7:53Speaker 3: Why was he fired?
- 7:54Speaker 1: I think he was. I think he was fired for
- 7:56Speaker 1: sexual impropriety. Yep, yep.
- 8:01Speaker 2: He was saying, you can't even say things today gets
- 8:06Speaker 2: you in trouble. You you know, look at an attractive
- 8:09Speaker 2: woman passing and you go, boy, look at those winnebagos.
- 8:12Speaker 1: You say that, and you are in deep trouble today.
- 8:17Speaker 5: Well, what if she sells recreational vehicles?
- 8:21Speaker 2: Oh well, if she's carrying recreational vehicles on her body.
- 8:27Speaker 2: And here's the other lead story we are as Amy
- 8:32Speaker 2: had Digest told us the Democrats and Trump looks like
- 8:37Speaker 2: they have a deal.
- 8:38Speaker 1: This is in the Senate, looks like they have a deal.
- 8:41Speaker 2: And this had to do with the pushback from what's
- 8:45Speaker 2: happening in Minneapolis. The government is absolutely backing down. They're
- 8:50Speaker 2: soft pedaling this thing, leading wide open this budget deal
- 8:56Speaker 2: in which the Homeland Security Department, Homeland Security is going
- 9:01Speaker 2: to get its funding for two weeks based on the
- 9:05Speaker 2: fact that the administration has agreed to terms like no
- 9:10Speaker 2: more masks on ice agents. They can't just arbitrary walk
- 9:15Speaker 2: in break into homes, businesses. They need a warrant. So
- 9:22Speaker 2: there's some things that are going on that things are
- 9:26Speaker 2: a change in for sure.
- 9:29Speaker 3: Okay, why was Toulci there? The Director of National Intelligence, Tulci.
- 9:35Speaker 3: Gabbard hasn't been seen much lately, but when FBI agents
- 9:41Speaker 3: went to the election center in Fulton County, Georgia to
- 9:44Speaker 3: do a raid looking for ballots from the twenty twenty
- 9:47Speaker 3: presidential election, there was Tulsi Gabbard. National security experts are
- 9:54Speaker 3: saying it raises questions about whether she is seeking new
- 9:57Speaker 3: relevancy in the eyes of a president who has se
- 10:00Speaker 3: on her.
- 10:01Speaker 2: Yeah, the national security officials don't show up at domestic
- 10:07Speaker 2: events like this. They're not allowed to buy law. It's
- 10:11Speaker 2: international stuff. Domestically by law, they can't get involved. So
- 10:15Speaker 2: what the hell was she doing there? And it was, Yeah,
- 10:20Speaker 2: she is. I think she's on her way out. And
- 10:22Speaker 2: this is the way Trump operates and like many presidents do,
- 10:26Speaker 2: instead of just outright saying you're fired, you're fired. When
- 10:29Speaker 2: it comes to a Trump ally, then it's the move
- 10:34Speaker 2: is kind of slow.
- 10:35Speaker 1: Also, I think Christy no may be in trouble too.
- 10:39Speaker 2: He had there was that cabinet meeting yesterday where they
- 10:44Speaker 2: when the cabinet meets, and what they do is Trump
- 10:48Speaker 2: has them sitting around the table as we know, and
- 10:50Speaker 2: then goes to each cabinet member and asks what's going on?
- 10:54Speaker 1: Please report?
- 10:55Speaker 2: And ninety five percent of it is you're the greatest
- 10:58Speaker 2: president that ever was. We are so lucky to have
- 11:01Speaker 2: you as our president. You should win the Nobel Prize.
- 11:05Speaker 2: You should retire the Nobel Prize because after it's given you,
- 11:09Speaker 2: it's gonna it's going to be meaningless. I mean on
- 11:11Speaker 2: and by the way, I'm not exaggerating very much here.
- 11:14Speaker 2: They suck up to him on that level. Uh. And
- 11:17Speaker 2: Christinoman was not asked to speak at all where she
- 11:20Speaker 2: normally would.
- 11:22Speaker 1: Boy, what does that mean? He bypassed her, went right
- 11:25Speaker 1: past her.
- 11:26Speaker 5: It's probably a good thing to keep her quiet.
- 11:30Speaker 1: Yeah, I would hope so well he didn't.
- 11:32Speaker 3: He didn't talk to a lot of people yesterday.
- 11:34Speaker 1: Yeah, but but it was uh yeah, which department head
- 11:38Speaker 1: did he not talk to?
- 11:39Speaker 3: He said, there were several you kind of skipped over people.
- 11:42Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't. I don't know the ones that imported. Yeah.
- 11:44Speaker 4: The big one is you would just think though during
- 11:48Speaker 4: this time that would be important important?
- 11:51Speaker 1: Yes, good point? Good point are.
- 11:53Speaker 5: In this time?
- 11:54Speaker 4: It's like you know, weathers, are you probably want to
- 11:56Speaker 4: talk to them about, you know, the right eastern northern
- 12:01Speaker 4: eastern part of the US too. All right, so the press,
- 12:05Speaker 4: mister Donald Trump. He's got two older sons that we know,
- 12:08Speaker 4: and they got a family business. Well, they are suing
- 12:12Speaker 4: the Internal Revenue Service and the US Treasury. This all
- 12:17Speaker 4: goes back to alleged leaks of their confidential tax information.
- 12:23Speaker 4: This is a civil suit and they're seeking ten billion
- 12:29Speaker 4: dollars damages according to this from the governmental court.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Yeah, from the government.
- 12:35Speaker 2: And this is and don't find this interesting because this
- 12:38Speaker 2: is leaking of IRS information. Now, every president not only
- 12:43Speaker 2: leaks information, makes public tax returns. And President Trump said
- 12:49Speaker 2: he would while he was running, and then after he
- 12:52Speaker 2: was elected and he was called on it, he went,
- 12:56Speaker 2: huh did.
- 12:57Speaker 1: I say that?
- 12:58Speaker 4: Oh? I remember that. But isn't this different. Isn't this
- 13:01Speaker 4: his eldest son's company. Yes, but they're saying this Chaz
- 13:07Speaker 4: or I think Carl's Chaz little John.
- 13:09Speaker 2: Yeah, And I don't know if I don't know if
- 13:13Speaker 2: Trump was involved in that. Right now, the the the
- 13:18Speaker 2: sons run the business, and I don't know if he
- 13:21Speaker 2: has kept his uh oh, I don't know if he
- 13:25Speaker 2: kept his interest in the business or turned it all
- 13:27Speaker 2: over to his kids.
- 13:28Speaker 4: This is one of the ones that he kind of
- 13:30Speaker 4: handed over wink wink to his children.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Win quick, Yeah, I think that, Yes, I think so.
- 13:34Speaker 5: I'm not.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Usually usually it's put Usually all the assets are put
- 13:38Speaker 2: into a blind trust where the person who's ever in
- 13:42Speaker 2: government or running for government turns it over to a
- 13:44Speaker 2: trustee who does not tell him or her with them
- 13:48Speaker 2: where the money is and where it's going.
- 13:49Speaker 4: It's a uh, what if somebody who worked in the
- 13:51Speaker 4: I R S did this politically leaked it politically?
- 13:54Speaker 5: Could they be could the I think I.
- 13:56Speaker 1: Think so, I think so. Yeah.
- 13:59Speaker 3: He is the one guy is serving a five year sentence.
- 14:03Speaker 3: He pleaded guilty to disclosing text return information. Chazz Jazz
- 14:09Speaker 3: Little Is that Chaz? Little John?
- 14:10Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 14:11Speaker 1: Yeah, Chaz? This is a Robin Hood episode. Is that
- 14:15Speaker 1: what we're talking about here?
- 14:17Speaker 5: Little John?
- 14:17Speaker 3: Yea, yeah, Okay, failed attempt. This is so bizarre to
- 14:24Speaker 3: spring Luigi Mengioni. Of course, Mangioni is the guy who's
- 14:28Speaker 3: accused of shooting and killing the head of United Healthcare
- 14:34Speaker 3: on a street in Manhattan, right outside a hotel, and
- 14:39Speaker 3: somebody showed up at the prison in New York City
- 14:42Speaker 3: and said, hey, I got a court order to release
- 14:45Speaker 3: Luigi MANGIONI give him to me. And then they said,
- 14:49Speaker 3: do you have any prov documentation anything. He shows him
- 14:53Speaker 3: a Minnesota driver's license, claimed he had weapons, and then
- 14:58Speaker 3: threw paperwork at them.
- 15:00Speaker 2: And so they looked in his backpack. Uh, and there
- 15:03Speaker 2: were the weapons, deadly weapons. Won a barbecue fork, you
- 15:06Speaker 2: know with those long barbecue fork that's a big fork.
- 15:09Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 15:09Speaker 2: And the other one is a pizza cutter, which and
- 15:13Speaker 2: those round pizza cutters, not even the one with handles,
- 15:16Speaker 2: which can be weapons when they slice you up.
- 15:19Speaker 1: And these are just order just the wheel. Yes, how big?
- 15:23Speaker 4: Did they didn't hear the big brass balls on that
- 15:25Speaker 4: guy walking in there?
- 15:27Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 15:27Speaker 1: I'm a BFI and.
- 15:32Speaker 5: Didn't need them.
- 15:33Speaker 4: Yeah, I love it all right. La Metro who did
- 15:38Speaker 4: not see this one coming? Talk about a money grab.
- 15:42Speaker 4: So we've you know, can't I has put billboards up
- 15:45Speaker 4: and we've done buses and bus shelters. Well you've got
- 15:49Speaker 4: this new so called documentary Milania Lania, and they got
- 15:55Speaker 4: it on buses and bust bus stops and people are
- 16:00Speaker 4: painting Hitler style mustaches on her putting expletives referring to
- 16:06Speaker 4: her husband, of course, Donald Trump. Uh, and references to
- 16:11Speaker 4: convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
- 16:14Speaker 1: Yeah. Now that was the bus storms on her.
- 16:16Speaker 2: That was we're talking just the bus stops, and now
- 16:18Speaker 2: they're moving the buses in a secure location.
- 16:21Speaker 4: The thing that makes me laugh here is La Metro
- 16:24Speaker 4: comes out and they said the vandalism spree was extensive
- 16:28Speaker 4: and severe, so you know, property damage, and of course,
- 16:31Speaker 4: you know they've got to protect people on the bus.
- 16:34Speaker 1: But they said.
- 16:37Speaker 4: They decided to move the vehicles to other locations where
- 16:41Speaker 4: there are fewer such concerns. And I'm like, like, white neighborhoods,
- 16:45Speaker 4: what is that? It's like, what, uh?
- 16:49Speaker 5: Where? Where? What?
- 16:52Speaker 4: What do you?
- 16:52Speaker 3: Orange County?
- 16:53Speaker 4: Yeah, well, oh yeah, Orange County doesn't need billboards legal
- 16:59Speaker 4: So maybe I don't know.
- 17:01Speaker 2: Milania, your documentary Milania, which Amazon paid or is it Netflix?
- 17:08Speaker 2: I Amazon paid forty million dollars for the rights to
- 17:12Speaker 2: this film and it was a thirty five million dollar
- 17:16Speaker 2: promotion budget that is ending next week and it's it's
- 17:21Speaker 2: going to debut at the Donald J.
- 17:24Speaker 1: Trump Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
- 17:27Speaker 3: It did, they did the premiere last night.
- 17:29Speaker 1: Oh, how To and How To Go?
- 17:32Speaker 3: It was the best movie debut ever.
- 17:35Speaker 1: Yeah. Did Milania get a sitting ovation?
- 17:38Speaker 3: She got a standing ovation. I'm sure it was a
- 17:41Speaker 3: very Trump friendly crowd.
- 17:43Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:43Speaker 2: As a matter of fact, she got a standing ovation
- 17:45Speaker 2: on stepstools. Man, they really wanted them to stand up.
- 17:50Speaker 4: Okay, let's see, can we get the copy to be
- 17:54Speaker 4: extra red?
- 17:57Speaker 3: Oh? Love?
- 18:01Speaker 1: I don't know, she'll tell you that. That's questionable.
- 18:05Speaker 2: Ages very do you know she's a very good she's
- 18:09Speaker 2: a very very private.
- 18:12Speaker 3: Thanks for the memories. Border Patrol Commander Greg Bovino, who
- 18:18Speaker 3: was recently demoted from his role in Minneapolis during the
- 18:24Speaker 3: aggressive deportation operations UH, has sent a message to the
- 18:29Speaker 3: agency oversaw in Minnesota. He praised them, send them, send
- 18:34Speaker 3: them love in a video that was filmed in front
- 18:37Speaker 3: of Mount Rushmore.
- 18:38Speaker 1: Oh that's sweet. That's not a political statement.
- 18:42Speaker 5: Is it?
- 18:42Speaker 1: Ham handed? Give me a break.
- 18:45Speaker 2: This was this he was at He was the poster
- 18:48Speaker 2: child of the way ICE has been treating detainees and
- 18:52Speaker 2: arresting people. He was the guy, and so uh, he
- 18:59Speaker 2: may get fired for I know you certainly demoted.
- 19:03Speaker 5: Something's got to happen.
- 19:05Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly, I mean, there's a lot of very rough
- 19:08Speaker 2: stuff going on.
- 19:09Speaker 4: Okay, not breaking news, but an addendum to our earlier conversation.
- 19:14Speaker 4: The TGIF in West Covina off of the ten is
- 19:18Speaker 4: closed and now a Brazilian steakhouse there. Porter Ranch still
- 19:24Speaker 4: has the tgifs for those playing the home game. And
- 19:29Speaker 4: there are two claim jumpers left right now South Coast
- 19:33Speaker 4: Plaza and right across from Knotsbery Farm.
- 19:36Speaker 3: Oh that's right, that's where it was. I knew I
- 19:38Speaker 3: had just seen one.
- 19:39Speaker 4: Okay, So thanks to everybody helping out there. All right,
- 19:42Speaker 4: back to the news.
- 19:43Speaker 1: Shall we go? What a weird story?
- 19:46Speaker 4: Somebody wants to look at handles privates in the bathroom,
- 19:49Speaker 4: apparently because they found a hidden camera inside the restroom
- 19:52Speaker 4: at a Kaiser Permanent Day Hospital in West Los Angeles.
- 19:56Speaker 4: But it looks like it was in the employee restroom.
- 20:01Speaker 5: Women.
- 20:02Speaker 4: Well I guess women would have these in the sit
- 20:04Speaker 4: downs too. But you know that little place, the little
- 20:07Speaker 4: eye that sees you, that knows when you get up
- 20:09Speaker 4: or whatever or walk away from the toilet that makes
- 20:11Speaker 4: it flush, That's where it sounds like this thing was located.
- 20:14Speaker 4: It's at a video from a member showed a camera
- 20:18Speaker 4: was found. This is the interesting word embedded in the
- 20:22Speaker 4: wall above the toilet's flush oh meter. So don't you
- 20:27Speaker 4: ever look at those and the little red eye blinking
- 20:30Speaker 4: and go, I wonder if somebody's watching, well at this
- 20:33Speaker 4: West Los Angeles Kaiser Permanente, somebody would And of course
- 20:38Speaker 4: now you've got around thirty nine victims, including emergency room
- 20:42Speaker 4: nurses that.
- 20:43Speaker 1: She Yeah, they're doing Kaiser.
- 20:45Speaker 2: But you know, where's Kaiser wrong on this tour? Is
- 20:49Speaker 2: Kaiser supposed to go through every restroom? Are hidden cameras?
- 20:54Speaker 1: How can you?
- 20:55Speaker 2: Yeah, if I'm on the jury, I'm not going to
- 20:58Speaker 2: nail Kaiser on this.
- 21:00Speaker 1: I mean you have to show some kind of negligence.
- 21:02Speaker 4: What you could sue the guy? I guess the guy
- 21:04Speaker 4: so Wiet, I mean, what do you say? Come on,
- 21:06Speaker 4: you're gonna sue what if he had a sexual history
- 21:10Speaker 4: or heads and that's different, that's different. Then you have Kaiser.
- 21:14Speaker 2: Then you could probably sue Kaiser if there is a
- 21:17Speaker 2: pattern of crazy stuff.
- 21:18Speaker 1: But you know, but even a criminal background, yeah, is
- 21:23Speaker 1: no okay?
- 21:26Speaker 3: And the winner is Kevin Walsh. President Trump says he's
- 21:31Speaker 3: going to nominate the former federal Reserve official to be
- 21:34Speaker 3: the next chair of the FED. Of course, Jerome Powell,
- 21:38Speaker 3: who has been criticized incessantly by President Trump, is out
- 21:43Speaker 3: in May, and Trump said today he's going to put
- 21:46Speaker 3: Wosh in place. Trump actually chose Powell in twenty seventeen
- 21:51Speaker 3: over Warsh. Worsh was interviewed at that time.
- 21:53Speaker 2: Yeah, and Warsh has credentials. I mean, this guy is
- 21:56Speaker 2: certainly qualified. Unlike Gabbard, unlike our FK Junior, unlike PAMBONDI
- 22:03Speaker 2: I mean, this guy, he's the real guy. What makes
- 22:06Speaker 2: him so interesting is that he has been a hawk
- 22:09Speaker 2: to raise interest rates historically, which.
- 22:14Speaker 3: Is interesting because Trump wants to lower lower exactly.
- 22:17Speaker 1: That's the point.
- 22:18Speaker 2: And part of this entire move is to have is
- 22:21Speaker 2: to get rid of the independence of the FED and
- 22:24Speaker 2: effectively have President Trump tell the Fed where the interest
- 22:28Speaker 2: rates should go.
- 22:30Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know. I don't know.
- 22:34Speaker 2: That's what makes this so interesting, as you point out,
- 22:37Speaker 2: And I don't know the answer to that, and I
- 22:39Speaker 2: don't think anybody else does. Right now, interest rates are
- 22:43Speaker 2: what right now? What over three percent? Three and a
- 22:46Speaker 2: half percent. Trump wants it under one percent to really
- 22:52Speaker 2: speed up the economy, which of course means inflation too
- 22:55Speaker 2: when you have a real hot economy.
- 22:57Speaker 5: I'd like to try.
- 22:58Speaker 2: Yeah, that's not going to be for a while. Like,
- 23:01Speaker 2: all right, this is interesting.
- 23:04Speaker 5: You want to go to break?
- 23:05Speaker 1: Yeah, take another break? Will you get so excited about
- 23:07Speaker 1: this stuff? Neil, Hey, Cooma coma. We'll getting to a day. Yeah,
- 23:13Speaker 1: we'll get to listen.
- 23:15Speaker 4: That's a nice set of oshbosh, gosh, gosh, gosh. Once again,
- 23:20Speaker 4: I believe that we as humans get super stupid when
- 23:24Speaker 4: we get emotional. California is projected to lose as many
- 23:28Speaker 4: as four congressional seats after the twenty thirty.
- 23:34Speaker 5: Census.
- 23:35Speaker 4: This is an estimation due to the population decline, So
- 23:38Speaker 4: that would mean that there's four seats less in California
- 23:43Speaker 4: and a perceived or believed jump. If these trends hold
- 23:48Speaker 4: because of migration to places like Texas and Florida, they
- 23:51Speaker 4: could gain four seats each. Oh, the other states could
- 23:56Speaker 4: gain seats ye, because California is Yeah, it's base. It
- 24:01Speaker 4: is all based on population.
- 24:02Speaker 2: There are exactly four hundred and thirty five congress people
- 24:06Speaker 2: in the United States Congress, and that is split up
- 24:09Speaker 2: among the states based on population.
- 24:12Speaker 1: You want to.
- 24:13Speaker 2: Here's a fun factoid, and that is that I think
- 24:18Speaker 2: it's Rhode Island. Rhode Island has two Senators because of
- 24:23Speaker 2: course it is a state, and it has one congress person.
- 24:29Speaker 2: It is easier to win a Senate seat than it
- 24:31Speaker 2: is a Congress seat. And California, of course, being the
- 24:35Speaker 2: most populous state, has how many does it have? Fifty three?
- 24:40Speaker 2: Fifty two and dropping to forty eight, which gives it
- 24:43Speaker 2: less power. Now, it doesn't matter that it drops four
- 24:47Speaker 2: as far as the politics. But they're all Democrat and
- 24:51Speaker 2: they are that's four seats less than the Democrats. But
- 24:55Speaker 2: the reapportionment, right, the redistrict thing is going to change things.
- 25:00Speaker 2: It's a little complicated and it's politics. Oh how unusual
- 25:03Speaker 2: politics today?
- 25:04Speaker 5: Yeah, but that's not even politics. Well it is because
- 25:06Speaker 5: California is no.
- 25:07Speaker 4: It is run like crape leaving and then you've got
- 25:11Speaker 4: a minority population of illegal immigration leaving.
- 25:15Speaker 1: Well, they can't vote.
- 25:16Speaker 2: They can't vote, no matter what the administration says, illegal
- 25:21Speaker 2: immigrants do not.
- 25:22Speaker 5: No, it's not about voting. It's about headcounting. This is
- 25:26Speaker 5: the set.
- 25:27Speaker 2: It is head counting. That's true. It is about headcounting.
- 25:30Speaker 2: So if you count the heads. It doesn't matter whether
- 25:32Speaker 2: they're voting or not. You're still going to get those
- 25:34Speaker 2: extra four yes or lose them. That is correct. That
- 25:37Speaker 2: is correct, okay, Amy.
- 25:40Speaker 3: Governor Newsom is not at all happy with doctor oz Uh.
- 25:45Speaker 3: Doctor Oz is the administrator for the Centers for Medicare
- 25:49Speaker 3: and Medicaid Services in the Trump administration, and the governor
- 25:53Speaker 3: has filed a civil rights complaint against Oz after he
- 25:56Speaker 3: posted a video accusing Armenian crime groups of widespread healthcare fraud.
- 26:03Speaker 3: He said, as he was being driven around part of
- 26:06Speaker 3: Van Eyes that in a video that about three and
- 26:08Speaker 3: a half billion dollars worth of Medicare fraud had been
- 26:11Speaker 3: perpetrated by hospice and home care businesses, and it is
- 26:15Speaker 3: run quite a bit of it, in his words, by
- 26:18Speaker 3: the Russian Armenian mafia.
- 26:20Speaker 2: You know they that story broke when the news discovered
- 26:24Speaker 2: that too many women were buying razor blades at stores
- 26:29Speaker 2: in are the neighborhoods there.
- 26:31Speaker 5: In Glendale, That is what you're trying to say.
- 26:34Speaker 2: Well, also in various other parts of the valley also
- 26:38Speaker 2: Van Eyes.
- 26:39Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, that's that's a group. Emails go to Neil
- 26:43Speaker 1: for complaints.
- 26:44Speaker 4: Yes, no, no, yes, way more concern going on with Waymo.
- 26:52Speaker 4: They just had one that went through Echo Park like
- 26:57Speaker 4: win Nuts and then and that one supposedly being driven
- 27:01Speaker 4: by somebody remotely. But Waimo, which I am a fan
- 27:05Speaker 4: of those self driving taxis, recently struck a child near
- 27:10Speaker 4: the Santa Monica Elementary School during drop off hours.
- 27:13Speaker 2: Yeah, and they're making a big deal about this because
- 27:15Speaker 2: from what the story says, the kid jumped out in
- 27:19Speaker 2: front of the WAYMOK vehicle between two cars, and it
- 27:24Speaker 2: didn't have time to react. Although the sensors react far,
- 27:28Speaker 2: far faster than a human being.
- 27:31Speaker 3: I was wondering if the kid might have been killed
- 27:33Speaker 3: if it had been a person.
- 27:36Speaker 1: Yeah, that's exactly the point.
- 27:37Speaker 2: Yeah, because and how many kids are hurt and how
- 27:41Speaker 2: many people are hurt by drivers who drive too quickly
- 27:44Speaker 2: and don't realize.
- 27:45Speaker 4: Will ultimately be way safer once there's more and more
- 27:50Speaker 4: of Oh absolutely, I.
- 27:51Speaker 2: Think the future the future is going to be and
- 27:53Speaker 2: it's not going to happen anytime real soon, and that
- 27:56Speaker 2: is all cars on the road will be automatic, will
- 28:01Speaker 2: be self driving, and then then.
- 28:03Speaker 1: Gridlock is done.
- 28:05Speaker 2: Gridlock is finished at that point because cars can go
- 28:07Speaker 2: along the freeway is sixty five miles per hour. They
- 28:10Speaker 2: can be ten feet from each other, five feet from
- 28:13Speaker 2: each other, do lane changes safely, and there won't be
- 28:18Speaker 2: any there won't be any sudden stops. I mean, it's
- 28:21Speaker 2: going to be terrific.
- 28:22Speaker 4: But there was a television show that took place in
- 28:25Speaker 4: the future and someone was pulled over for driving and
- 28:28Speaker 4: they're like, why were you driving by hand?
- 28:31Speaker 5: And they said, what cool is that? I love it.
- 28:33Speaker 4: It was a class of ninety six or something like that,
- 28:37Speaker 4: or it was about the CIA or the FBI or something,
- 28:40Speaker 4: but yeah, it was funny.
- 28:41Speaker 5: They're like, why were you driving? Manually all, let's.
- 28:45Speaker 1: Do one more story before we bail outa here, Amy.
- 28:51Speaker 3: The president's number one fan, has a gold card. Nicki Minaj,
- 28:55Speaker 3: who has been very outspoken about her support for President Trump,
- 28:58Speaker 3: recently revealed that back in twenty eighteen that she was
- 29:03Speaker 3: brought to the US as an illegal immigrant from Trinidad
- 29:06Speaker 3: and Tobago when she was five. Well, yesterday, she actually
- 29:10Speaker 3: on Wednesday, she flashed a Trump gold card after launching
- 29:16Speaker 3: the president's IRA style savings account, the Trump Accounts.
- 29:20Speaker 2: But which you pay a million dollars and you are
- 29:24Speaker 2: fast tracked for American citizenship.
- 29:26Speaker 3: She says her citizenship paperwork is being finalized.
- 29:30Speaker 2: Yeah, did you Yesterday the story broke about the visa card,
- 29:34Speaker 2: that Visa and Trump are now coordinating with each other,
- 29:39Speaker 2: and in order to apply for the visa card, it
- 29:42Speaker 2: is a fifteen thousand dollars non refundable deposit made to
- 29:49Speaker 2: the US government and then you get this visa card.
- 29:52Speaker 2: I mean it's with of course Trump's picture on it, naturally,
- 29:56Speaker 2: and it's just completely crazy.
- 29:58Speaker 1: It's crazy.
- 29:59Speaker 4: Do you know anybody one of these really pretentious, made
- 30:02Speaker 4: out of metal credit cards.
- 30:05Speaker 3: One of my friends has one, thank you.
- 30:08Speaker 5: One of my best friends has one.
- 30:10Speaker 3: Actually, two of my friends have one. You obviously have
- 30:12Speaker 3: more money.
- 30:13Speaker 5: One of mine.
- 30:14Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 30:15Speaker 2: Yeah, from what I From what I understand, they are
- 30:19Speaker 2: made out of titanium and they're pretty solid, to say
- 30:23Speaker 2: the least. Let's take a break. Okay, why don't we
- 30:26Speaker 2: get the hell out of here. This is kf I
