- 0:00[SPEAKER_01]: It's fuck ya Friday.
- 0:01[SPEAKER_01]: Fuck ya!
- 0:02[SPEAKER_01]: Get ready for some wins.
- 0:05[SPEAKER_02]: Welcome to the be it till you see it podcast, where we talk about taking messy action, knowing that perfect is boring.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_02]: I'm also Logan, Ply's instructor and fitness business coach.
- 0:16[SPEAKER_02]: I've trained thousands of people around the world, and the number one thing I see stopping people from achieving anything is self-doubt.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_02]: My friends, action brings clarity.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_02]: Each week, my guests will bring bold, executable, intrinsic, and targeted steps that you can use to put yourself first and be it till you see it.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_02]: It's a practice, not a perfect, let's get started.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_01]: I have to be a babe, how are you?
- 0:49[SPEAKER_01]: Happy Friday.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_01]: I just looked at the date on this episode, so I also wanted to acknowledge that it is September 11th.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_02]: Today is our fucking Friday episode.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_02]: It is the episode where, you know, we can have a little vint moment.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_02]: We get to share some wins.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_01]: We do an affirmation.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_01]: We just are human beings together.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_01]: And I just want to say, I'm recording this in the past.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't know how today feels for a lot of us, you know, I had a whole different thing to vint about.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_01]: But I think what I most
- 1:26[SPEAKER_01]: And I know it's hard for people to watch videos and go back to that time, and I also feel like the further we get from it, the more we forget it happened, and it happened, and it affected people tremendously, and I was watching this show on, I think it's on HBO, it's homicide in New York, and it's a dick wolf thing, so it's real detectives.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_01]: doing homicides with SVU, but not because it's the real stuff and their real new New Yorkers are real cops and however you feel about that it's really interesting stories.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_01]: And on the last season that I watched the last episode was on 911 and they told their stories and they showed these videos and they showed these photos and they talked about their families and they talked about
- 2:07[SPEAKER_01]: you know, we're in a suit and running and the health things that they've had afterwards.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_01]: And I think it's going to say, I do understand how hard it can be for us to every year, watch the video of the attack.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_01]: But I do think it's important that we remember the stories of the
- 2:32[SPEAKER_01]: I think that that is one of the most patriotic things we can do in a world where it feels hard to be patriotic, to be honest.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_01]: I don't feel that way about the fourth, but I just want to see on this data.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_01]: I felt so far away from it when I was in college and then California.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_01]: so far away.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_01]: And so young, I didn't have a TV.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I didn't even, I didn't get to see any of the footage because all the only TV that I knew about was the appointments dorms that we couldn't go there.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_01]: And so I really felt so far away and unaware enough of how it had affected people, the economy.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_01]: And so I was reading it in people magazine, you know, that kind of thing.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_01]: So I'll just say,
- 3:11[SPEAKER_01]: to me a little longer than I would like to be completely fully immersed in all that happened.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_01]: It makes me sad today that there's people who have even challenged that it did or how it did or why it did.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, so I miss the time when we would just all got together and really loved each other.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_01]: So if you lost anyone or you were affected in any way by 911, my heart is with you today.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_01]: And always because we can't pretend like those things didn't change us.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_01]: whether or not you were an 18 year old at college and unsure of what the world was or or you were in New York, right?
- 3:48[SPEAKER_01]: I gotta take care of each other.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_01]: Now, win my win for today and it actually has to do with, I mean, a new friend, right?
- 4:00[SPEAKER_01]: This is a funny win, but I like to share it because I'm an adult.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_01]: I'm almost free for your adult.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_01]: But I made a new friend, and it was really fun.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_01]: We were, she's been on the podcast.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_01]: So we talked, and I was on her podcast as zero as a year ago, and then we just didn't connect again.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_01]: And then she thought of me for a thing, and she invited me, and we just picked up where we left off, no apologies for, hey, it's been six years since we talked, none of that.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_01]: It was just like this, this, this, this, this, this, and we were vulnerable with things in our life and just honest, in no competition and whatsoever, we're actually in the same sort of industry.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_01]: When it comes to coaching and I mean, different, she's in fitness and implies, but it was just nice to be with a person and talk and our husbands got along.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_01]: We got along with each other's husbands.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_01]: It was just so much fun.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_01]: And I just it just was really nice.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_01]: And so my win is I could have easily not gone to the thing because Lord knows I had 17,000 things to do.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_01]: I could have easily not hung out for lunch because they needed drive home and I had a thousand things to do, but I think we both needed time.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_01]: And so I've made a point to make sure that I reach out to her, really, because I am a tornatorious for a curious brain.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_01]: You're in there and I'm thinking of you, but I just wanna say,
- 5:13[SPEAKER_01]: I don't say it's to everything, but if you are feeling lonely, my fear of feeling you're alone on an island, then you should say yes to an invitation.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_01]: You can always leave.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_02]: You're when that you sent in.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_01]: This is from attain Pilates.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_01]: I apparently taught a banger of a class last night.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_01]: My girls just loved it.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_01]: It was all apparatus.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_01]: Congratulations.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_01]: That's so wonderful.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_01]: Good for you.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_01]: You know what?
- 5:36[SPEAKER_01]: I love when applies instructor acknowledges that they're fucking badass.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_01]: I what they do.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_01]: too many people in the applies industry are telling themselves a shitty story about how good they are as a teacher or how where they they are as a teacher and all that is doing is allowing these VC firms to come in open up studios with fake equipment poorly trained teachers as poor teachers don't even know that they're poorly trained they don't know they think that they're getting a great job doing the thing that that sounds so cool looks so cool on Instagram and meanwhile the most amazing teachers are over here going
