- 0:08Speaker 1: Advice shoge low low low lower lower. Welcome to the
- 0:16Speaker 1: not even nice. I'm your host, job Shooter. It is Tuesday,
- 0:20Speaker 1: which means our dear friend Delena Dixon is joining us.
- 0:22Speaker 1: De Lana, are you there? I am, oh, Mr Shooter.
- 0:26Speaker 1: We had something fun yesterday. We did we did, we
- 0:28Speaker 1: did so yesterday after the Oscars, the Lena and my
- 0:31Speaker 1: good self were invited to be guests on Good Day
- 0:34Speaker 1: New York, a TV show here in New York VTV
- 0:37Speaker 1: show here in New York. Let's not be modest. I
- 0:40Speaker 1: think it outrates the Today Show here in New York City,
- 0:43Speaker 1: a massive show. We were on. It was fun, Delana,
- 0:45Speaker 1: isn't it fun being back on TV? It was so
- 0:47Speaker 1: much fun And I couldn't be sitting next to a
- 0:51Speaker 1: better person than you. I've learned from the best, and
- 0:53Speaker 1: it was just it went so quickly. Though. I need
- 0:56Speaker 1: a whole I need a whole hour. I know, I
- 0:58Speaker 1: know more goodness nose on this show. We can talk.
- 1:00Speaker 1: You know that, my friends. So let's jump in to
- 1:03Speaker 1: the show. What time is it tea time big breaking story?
- 1:07Speaker 1: Could Will Smith actually lose his oscar? So Will Smith
- 1:11Speaker 1: may be asked to hand back his statue for Best
- 1:14Speaker 1: Actor following his outrageous behavior on stage assaulting Chris rock
- 1:19Speaker 1: Oscar bosses are meeting in the top secret emergency talks
- 1:24Speaker 1: to decide whether or not they should strip Will Smith
- 1:27Speaker 1: of his Best Actor award. Inside us are said to
- 1:30Speaker 1: be furious. Members of the Academy are furious. I'm told
- 1:33Speaker 1: it was a zoom meeting and several members demanded that
- 1:37Speaker 1: Will not only handback his statue, but he also be
- 1:40Speaker 1: asked to leave the organization. Last night, after the Oscars,
- 1:44Speaker 1: the Academy put out a tweet saying the following, The
- 1:47Speaker 1: Academy does not condone violence in any form. Tonight, we
- 1:51Speaker 1: are delighted to celebrate the Academy Award winners, and they
- 1:55Speaker 1: go on to recognize the winners. They really want nothing
- 1:58Speaker 1: to do with this drama twenty four hours ago. Now,
- 2:01Speaker 1: I'm told, Mr. The pendulum is swinging and there is
- 2:05Speaker 1: a strict guideline, a code of conduct for winners. And
- 2:10Speaker 1: this really came up in about two thousand and seventeen
- 2:13Speaker 1: following all the horrible accusations, particularly Harvey Weinstein, and now
- 2:18Speaker 1: members have to be respectable and they have to respect
- 2:21Speaker 1: human dignity. Inclusion all these values now you have to
- 2:26Speaker 1: uphold to be a member of the Academy. Clearly slapping somebody,
- 2:32Speaker 1: even if you think it was the right thing to do,
- 2:34Speaker 1: defending your wife, We've heard some people say that it's
- 2:37Speaker 1: still something that is against the code of conduct. What
- 2:40Speaker 1: are your things going to happen here? Where are we
- 2:42Speaker 1: going to land? This one's a tough one, and we
- 2:46Speaker 1: do take a moment. We spoke about this. You know,
- 2:48Speaker 1: Jada suffers from alopecia, which means you lose your hair.
- 2:51Speaker 1: It's something I know a lot about and it can
- 2:53Speaker 1: be debilitating. And people are saying that that's what made
- 2:56Speaker 1: her upset, and that's where he felt the need to
- 2:58Speaker 1: defend her. But we can never use violence to solve
- 3:01Speaker 1: the situation. And what's so upsetting for me is that
- 3:04Speaker 1: this was supposed to be Will's moment. It was supposed
- 3:06Speaker 1: to be a moment of joy and happiness. He finally
- 3:09Speaker 1: got his oscar, and now it's going to be marred
- 3:12Speaker 1: for the rest of his life by this situation. If
- 3:15Speaker 1: he could have just taken two seconds to think about
- 3:18Speaker 1: do I want to do this action? When I could
- 3:21Speaker 1: have talked to Chris Rock afterwards, or do I want
- 3:23Speaker 1: to enjoy my moment and this is how he's going
- 3:26Speaker 1: to have to remember it. I think there's gonna be
- 3:29Speaker 1: a lot of discussion about whether or not he can
- 3:31Speaker 1: keep it, because does this set up precedent that anybody
- 3:33Speaker 1: can jump on stage and do what they want to do.
- 3:37Speaker 1: It's going to be a tough one, it really is.
- 3:39Speaker 1: You've got to pay for the things that you do.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Actions have consequences. Will be Goldberg Jesse shoot a statement
- 3:46Speaker 1: saying she's on the board, the Academy board, and there
- 3:49Speaker 1: are no plans at the moment to revoke Will Smith's oscar.
- 3:53Speaker 1: People Magazine are reporting right now that there were actual
- 3:57Speaker 1: discussions during the oscars to remove him from the ceremony.
- 4:02Speaker 1: So People Magazine are saying, behind the scenes, a lot
- 4:05Speaker 1: of people had different voices. They were weighing in on
- 4:08Speaker 1: what exactly they should do, what was the quickest, the
- 4:11Speaker 1: best course of action. They also were checking in on
- 4:14Speaker 1: Chris Rock to make sure he was okay. Sources say, basically,
- 4:18Speaker 1: they just had a few minutes to figure all this out,
- 4:21Speaker 1: and at first they thought it might be a stunt
- 4:23Speaker 1: to They thought this had gone crazy wild and the
- 4:26Speaker 1: producers were like, what's happening? They did these two guys
- 4:29Speaker 1: planned this. Once it became clear that was not the case,
- 4:33Speaker 1: they then had a real serious discussions about removing marching
- 4:38Speaker 1: Will Smith out of the award showed. This brings us
- 4:42Speaker 1: to our phole question of the day. Should Will Smith
- 4:45Speaker 1: lose his Oscar? It's that simple. Should they take back
- 4:48Speaker 1: his Oscar? Should Will Smith lose his oscar? Hey? Go
- 4:52Speaker 1: bodes on a Twitter page at Naughty Nice Rob on
- 4:55Speaker 1: Facebook pages Naughty Gossip and by sure to chang back
- 4:58Speaker 1: tomorrow to your results are on the well. If you
- 5:04Speaker 1: think that Will Smith was crying in a corner feeling
- 5:07Speaker 1: really bad about this and just staying by himself after
- 5:10Speaker 1: the show, that is not the case. He actually went
- 5:13Speaker 1: to a party and after Oscar party, the party Vanity Fair.
- 5:18Speaker 1: He had his wife with him, Jada Pinkett Smith, and
- 5:20Speaker 1: his kids and he was dancing and having a grand
- 5:23Speaker 1: old time. So he hit the dance floor. They were
- 5:25Speaker 1: playing is getting Jiggy with It? And of course it
- 5:30Speaker 1: was recorded on the cameras that are not supposed to
- 5:32Speaker 1: be in the Vanity Fair party. You guys might not
- 5:35Speaker 1: know this, but you're not supposed to bring in any
- 5:37Speaker 1: type of recording equipment while this party is supposed to
- 5:40Speaker 1: be going on. So so it's as we spoke about.
- 5:43Speaker 1: As we spoke about, people are still wondering what's going
- 5:46Speaker 1: to happen here? Is Will going to lose his award?
- 5:50Speaker 1: But he was surrounded by his family and after he
- 5:53Speaker 1: slapped Chris Rock, his son Jaden posted on Twitter and
- 5:57Speaker 1: that's how we do it. So he's got his family support. Actually, Rob,
- 6:02Speaker 1: I've had a minute to think about this, and I
- 6:04Speaker 1: think this may be the case of what they do
- 6:06Speaker 1: with Will Smith. I think he may never be able
- 6:09Speaker 1: to come back to the Oscars, not be able to
- 6:12Speaker 1: give out the award next year for the best Winning
- 6:15Speaker 1: Actor or the Best Lead Actor, and really not be
- 6:18Speaker 1: able to come to awards in the future even if
- 6:20Speaker 1: he's nominated. And I think that may be a fair.
- 6:23Speaker 1: You can keep your awards, you did the work, you
- 6:25Speaker 1: get to keep it, but the price you pay is
- 6:27Speaker 1: that you can never again come and be a part
- 6:31Speaker 1: of Wow. Yeah. I mean he's a hero to young people,
- 6:34Speaker 1: not just his son Jaden. The young people look up
- 6:37Speaker 1: to him. And now if they think that this is acceptable.
- 6:39Speaker 1: When Jayden posted quote and that's how we do it?
- 6:42Speaker 1: Is that really how we do it? If somebody says
- 6:45Speaker 1: something that you don't like, the disrespects a family member
- 6:48Speaker 1: that disrespects you, do is slap them in the faces.
- 6:51Speaker 1: That the message that the Academy is signing off on
- 6:55Speaker 1: is that okay with them. Rosie O'Donnell certainly is speaking
- 6:59Speaker 1: out saying that the Academy should have done something about
- 7:03Speaker 1: quote a madman, Will Smith, She tweeted at them, quote
- 7:08Speaker 1: why didn't you do anything? Why did you do nothing?
- 7:12Speaker 1: She followed up with a message supporting Chris Rock, saying
- 7:16Speaker 1: it was really upset into her on many many levels.
- 7:19Speaker 1: And bravo to Chris Rock, who kept his calmer after
- 7:23Speaker 1: Will slapped him, and she said, it's a sad display
- 7:27Speaker 1: of toxic masculinity from a narcissistic mad man. Now Rob Reiner,
- 7:34Speaker 1: who's a really famous director too, he spoke out to
- 7:38Speaker 1: saying that there should be some consequences here to Will's action.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Also to Maria Shriver, she said the following quote, we
- 7:47Speaker 1: should never get to a place where we sit and
- 7:49Speaker 1: watch a movie star hits somebody on National TV. Moments
- 7:53Speaker 1: later gets her standing ovation while talking about love so
- 7:58Speaker 1: lots and lots of people coming forward. I think at first,
- 8:01Speaker 1: mister Hollywood, everybody was so shocked by this. We said nothing.
- 8:05Speaker 1: We were all like, what now is the as the
- 8:08Speaker 1: hours turn into days and we digest this, Now people
- 8:13Speaker 1: are starting to speak at I feel the pendulum swinging, mister.
- 8:19Speaker 1: After the event, even though I was really shocked by it,
- 8:22Speaker 1: a lot of people were on Will's side when he
- 8:25Speaker 1: walked into the Vanity Fair party. He got a standing
- 8:28Speaker 1: ovation when he when he gave his speech about five
- 8:30Speaker 1: minutes after slapping Chris, he got a standing ovation. Now
- 8:34Speaker 1: people are starting to back off that. Can you feel
- 8:37Speaker 1: that too in your reporting, Mistery The tides turning? Oh absolutely,
- 8:41Speaker 1: I think people are having time to digest it, and
- 8:44Speaker 1: my sources are telling me that they're definitely thinking this
- 8:47Speaker 1: was not right and we have to handle in a
- 8:49Speaker 1: way so nothing like this happens again. But of course
- 8:52Speaker 1: I spoke to the most important person to wait in
- 8:55Speaker 1: on this situation, and that would be Mummady, my mother,
- 8:59Speaker 1: and she else that Will Smith should not be able
- 9:02Speaker 1: to keep his oscar. Oh yes, it's so interesting. I
- 9:07Speaker 1: have so many different groups of friends, and I know
- 9:09Speaker 1: in life we want to treat everybody as an individual.
- 9:12Speaker 1: We should, but there are certain categories in our lives
- 9:15Speaker 1: broadly here, and it's very broadly. My female friends think
- 9:20Speaker 1: that this is outrageous, My gay friends think it's terrible.
- 9:26Speaker 1: My straight male friends are on Will's side. So it'll
- 9:31Speaker 1: be interesting to see what group you fall into. Hey,
- 9:34Speaker 1: what group does the l a p D fall into? Misty, Well,
- 9:38Speaker 1: the l a p D has issued a statement and
- 9:40Speaker 1: basically they're saying they are not investigating the incident that
- 9:44Speaker 1: took place at this time because Chris Rock did not
- 9:47Speaker 1: press charges. But they did say if the party desires
- 9:50Speaker 1: a police report at a later date, l a p
- 9:53Speaker 1: D will be available to complete an investigative report. And
- 9:57Speaker 1: this was an official statement from the l a p
- 10:00Speaker 1: I think this was really complicated. Let me speak for
- 10:02Speaker 1: the black community. I think it's really difficult because it's
- 10:05Speaker 1: a black man who was finally getting what he thought
- 10:07Speaker 1: was his moment in time and he felt that it
- 10:09Speaker 1: was marred by this this statement, which we know actually
- 10:12Speaker 1: approved by producers to say this joke, and most of
- 10:16Speaker 1: the time people just laugh it off. It's not like
- 10:19Speaker 1: Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith were the first people
- 10:21Speaker 1: to be made fun of at the Oscars. It's all
- 10:24Speaker 1: in good fun. You're making millions of dollars doing what
- 10:26Speaker 1: a million people in the world would love to do,
- 10:28Speaker 1: make movies. Be able to laugh at yourself. Yes. Yes.
- 10:32Speaker 1: Earlier in the evening, Amy Schuman made fund of Leonardo
- 10:35Speaker 1: DiCaprio's young girlfriends, and he didn't storm the stage and
- 10:39Speaker 1: get angry about that. I hope I'm not having a
- 10:42Speaker 1: false equivalency here, but definitely it's interesting. The l a
- 10:46Speaker 1: p D issued a statement, and then finally, before we
- 10:49Speaker 1: go to break, we should point out there has been
- 10:51Speaker 1: history between Chris Rock and Will Smith and his family,
- 10:56Speaker 1: so Rock Smith and Jada do have some back history here.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Rock appeared on Will's sitcom The Fresh Prince of bel
- 11:03Speaker 1: Air in He also was a voiceover actor along with
- 11:08Speaker 1: Jada in three animated Mada Gascar films. If you've been
- 11:13Speaker 1: in three films together, you can know each other. My
- 11:15Speaker 1: inside has called me. That's when the drama really started.
- 11:18Speaker 1: Also to in two thousand and sixteen, when Chris was
- 11:22Speaker 1: the host of the Awards show, he made fun of
- 11:24Speaker 1: Jada for saying that she thought they should boycott the Oscars.
- 11:29Speaker 1: Remember the hashtag oscar so white Well, Jada said she
- 11:33Speaker 1: wasn't going, she was there. Chris made fun of her
- 11:36Speaker 1: during that show. He also made fun of Will Smith,
- 11:39Speaker 1: saying that he couldn't believe Will got paid twenty million
- 11:42Speaker 1: dollars for Wild wild West, not a good film. I
- 11:45Speaker 1: think that's funny. I hope you agree. But now it's
- 11:47Speaker 1: put everybody in a very difficult position. What can you say?
- 11:50Speaker 1: What can't you say? I do think you're onto something.
- 11:52Speaker 1: They're mistery movie stars that are paid tens of millions
- 11:55Speaker 1: of dollars, sitting at an award show, drinking champagne, wearing
- 11:59Speaker 1: tens of thousands of dollars of Gucci Amani Proude of
- 12:03Speaker 1: the best clothes in the world. Goodness, can we not
- 12:06Speaker 1: laugh at ourselves anymore? What do you think we have to?
- 12:09Speaker 1: I mean, that's the only way that you're going to
- 12:11Speaker 1: get through life. Look, this award ceremony was happening while
- 12:15Speaker 1: there's a massive bombings happening in Ukraine. They're fighting for
- 12:18Speaker 1: their lives. So you should be able to to laugh
- 12:22Speaker 1: at jokes about yourself. You know, you all understand nobody
- 12:25Speaker 1: likes to be insulted. If you love somebody. You don't
- 12:28Speaker 1: want them to be insulted, but sometimes you got to
- 12:31Speaker 1: take a moment. You gotta give your side. I and
- 12:35Speaker 1: I feel like it's different for men and women. I
- 12:37Speaker 1: know I would have probably given some sidea and had
- 12:40Speaker 1: some words to say after the fact that made it
- 12:43Speaker 1: very clear if you ever say anything like that about
- 12:46Speaker 1: my wife again, I will cut you. Chris Luck would
- 12:49Speaker 1: have learned from and said I'm not going to do
- 12:51Speaker 1: that again. Let's just not go there. So initially Will
- 12:54Speaker 1: Smith was laughing in a Jada gave a side I
- 12:57Speaker 1: my friend Fiana. You know, Fiana is a big publicist.
- 13:00Speaker 1: Fianna said to me, Jada should have slapped Will for laughing.
- 13:03Speaker 1: That's who should have got slapped her husband for laughing
- 13:06Speaker 1: initially at this joke. It is so much more complicated
- 13:10Speaker 1: than we first see. But I do think there are
- 13:12Speaker 1: going to be consequences. And I think the minute is
- 13:16Speaker 1: Dwan breaks. The minute one or two people in Hollywood
- 13:19Speaker 1: turn against Will, it's gonna come flooding, flooding, flooding out.
- 13:25Speaker 1: And can I just put it out there that he
- 13:27Speaker 1: has a really big project with nat Gio that's supposed
- 13:31Speaker 1: to be going down to Antarctica, and I'm just wondering
- 13:33Speaker 1: this might not just affect him just on a mental
- 13:36Speaker 1: level or whatever happens to the academy, this could affect
- 13:39Speaker 1: his livelihood because why would people want to work with
- 13:42Speaker 1: somebody who is so volatile. You've got to think about
- 13:46Speaker 1: these things. It happens at every level. You can't just
- 13:49Speaker 1: go in your job and do whatever you're gonna do.
- 13:51Speaker 1: You get fired. Fired, you'd be fired immediately, you'd be
- 13:56Speaker 1: escorted out of the company. And I think this is
- 13:59Speaker 1: why people get angry with Hollywood. It seems like there
- 14:01Speaker 1: are different rules for rich, powerful movie stars. Hey, we're
- 14:05Speaker 1: going to take a quick break and we will be right.
- 14:10Speaker 1: Welcome back to the even Nice Show on Rock Shot
- 14:12Speaker 1: with our dear friend Missy. Hey, Missy, let's get to
- 14:15Speaker 1: the polls. Do so. Yesterday we were talking about Will
- 14:19Speaker 1: Smith and our question was should Will have been arrested
- 14:22Speaker 1: and escorted out of the oscars after hitting Chris Rock?
- 14:27Speaker 1: Yes or no? Let's have a look, Yes he should
- 14:30Speaker 1: have been arrested. Don't forget to vote on today's poll.
- 14:34Speaker 1: It's a good one. Go to our Twitter page at
- 14:36Speaker 1: Naughty Nice Rob or at Facebook page which is naughty Ghazi,
- 14:39Speaker 1: but miss, sure to check back tomorrow to here your results. Hey, miss,
- 14:46Speaker 1: after all this drama, let's do a nice of the day.
- 14:52Speaker 1: At least the show ended on a really wonderful note
- 14:55Speaker 1: which was brought to us by Lady Gaga and the
- 14:58Speaker 1: incomparable Liza minnell So basically for the last award, Lady
- 15:03Speaker 1: Gaga came out with Liza Minnelli, who was in a wheelchair,
- 15:06Speaker 1: and she proved. Lady Gaga proved to be a supportive
- 15:10Speaker 1: co presenter for Miss Manelli at the ninety four Annual
- 15:14Speaker 1: Academy Awards and they were giving the biggest price. So
- 15:17Speaker 1: now Gaga is thirty six, Miss Manelli is forty years older,
- 15:20Speaker 1: and as the crowd cheer, the House of Gucci, actress
- 15:25Speaker 1: grasped Miss Manelli's hand and said, do you see that
- 15:28Speaker 1: the public they love you? Now you know she's older
- 15:32Speaker 1: and Miss Manelli and she seemed to get a little
- 15:34Speaker 1: confused as she was going through her cards. She she
- 15:37Speaker 1: just didn't seem like she knew what to do next,
- 15:40Speaker 1: and Gaga told her don't worry, I got it. And
- 15:43Speaker 1: Gaga also went on to say, you know how I
- 15:45Speaker 1: love working with legends and I'm honored to present the
- 15:48Speaker 1: final award of the evening with a true show business legend.
- 15:52Speaker 1: And sources are telling me that Gaga actually asked to
- 15:57Speaker 1: present with Liza Minnelli, and justin caused you to notice
- 16:00Speaker 1: what Lady Gargo was wearing. She did not walk the
- 16:03Speaker 1: carpet that night, but she was wearing to give out
- 16:06Speaker 1: this final oscar, this liquid tuxedo, and it was very
- 16:10Speaker 1: much in a cabaret style, paying homage to when Miss
- 16:14Speaker 1: Manelli did cabaret back in the seventies. Wow, the nicest
- 16:18Speaker 1: of the day. Lessend with that, naudios of the day.
- 16:21Speaker 1: It's p did he so did? He is claiming Will
- 16:22Speaker 1: Smith and Chris Rock have already made up. He told
- 16:26Speaker 1: Paid six that's not a problem, it's over. I can
- 16:29Speaker 1: confirm it's all love now. TMZO reporting that isn't true,
- 16:34Speaker 1: and Chris Rock has not spoken to Will Smith, and
- 16:38Speaker 1: they went on to say nobody's buried the hatchet here.
- 16:40Speaker 1: In fact, Chris was stunned by the situation. He went
- 16:43Speaker 1: straight up to his dressing room after the slab and
- 16:46Speaker 1: there has been no communication between the two men ever since. Chris,
- 16:50Speaker 1: who had no intention of staying after the show, he
- 16:53Speaker 1: went up to his dressing room, then he left the
- 16:54Speaker 1: building inside as are saying, he was shaken and bewildered.
- 16:58Speaker 1: He did go to Guya Serrie Madonna's Oscar party, so
- 17:01Speaker 1: Chris Rock did go there trying to end the night
- 17:04Speaker 1: by having some fun at least. But our naughtiest of
- 17:07Speaker 1: the day is Diddy, Diddy, Diddy. How would you know this, Diddy?
- 17:10Speaker 1: You didn't speak to either one of them, and here
- 17:12Speaker 1: he is doing press conferences on the red carpet, had
- 17:15Speaker 1: Vanity Fair announcing to page six the world they've made peace. Diddy,
- 17:21Speaker 1: Diddy Diddy a naughtiest of the day. Let's end with
- 17:24Speaker 1: a moment of Robb. You gonna again, You're gonna, Rob,
- 17:28Speaker 1: Mister it's very shut today. It's a very short sentence,
- 17:31Speaker 1: but I think we can all get behind this. Violence
- 17:34Speaker 1: is never proof of love. Violence is never ever proof
- 17:40Speaker 1: of love. That's it for today. Thank you so much
- 17:44Speaker 1: for listening to the Naughty but Nice with Rob and
- 17:46Speaker 1: Miss d Show production of I Heart Radio. Don't forget
- 17:51Speaker 1: to subscribe on the I Heart Radio app Apple podcast.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Wherever you listen, leave us a review. So a couple
- 17:56Speaker 1: of days ago, mister I mentioned on the show that
- 17:59Speaker 1: the last two are three reviews were really mean, and
- 18:02Speaker 1: every time I checked the reviews, I had to keep
- 18:04Speaker 1: reading the same three beat once all the time. So
