- 0:00Speaker 1: This is seven, tor Boy, The Mark Simoon Show starts now.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Well, oh, yesterday, well it was no I mean a
- 0:12Speaker 2: couple of times going to actual, actual snowflakes coming. I
- 0:15Speaker 2: was freezing a little warmer today. It'll get back into
- 0:18Speaker 2: the fifties this weekend. That's good news. We got a
- 0:20Speaker 2: lot to get to. We'll get to Chuck Schumer the
- 0:22Speaker 2: end of his career. We'll get to Mom Donnie the
- 0:25Speaker 2: beginning of this Meyrill nightmare of his. We'll get to
- 0:29Speaker 2: another new Democrat candidate that's absolutely frightening. We'll get to
- 0:35Speaker 2: We'll get to everybody loves Raymond. They got big news there.
- 0:37Speaker 2: We'll get to the next media attacks that are coming,
- 0:42Speaker 2: the media doing it. Used to be report the news.
- 0:46Speaker 2: Now it's spend all day trying to get Trump on something.
- 0:49Speaker 2: We'll tell you what's what's coming next. The shutdown. The
- 0:53Speaker 2: vote will take place in the House later today that
- 0:56Speaker 2: will end the shutdown. They'll vote to end it. I
- 0:59Speaker 2: know some people talking about posing some Democrats say they
- 1:04Speaker 2: will not go along with it. They'll end up they'll
- 1:06Speaker 2: end up ending it today. The vote will be successful
- 1:08Speaker 2: and the shutdown will end tonight, probably six seven, o'clock
- 1:12Speaker 2: somewhere around there, and then air traffic control will start
- 1:17Speaker 2: to get better. The air traffic controllers have to come back.
- 1:20Speaker 2: It's a slow process. It won't be probably till Monday
- 1:24Speaker 2: that gets back to normal. They'll start coming back slowly
- 1:27Speaker 2: over the weekend. Here's the Transportation Secretary Duffy.
- 1:30Speaker 3: We had four staffing triggers today.
- 1:33Speaker 4: On Saturday there were eighty one. I think Sunday was
- 1:37Speaker 4: fifty three.
- 1:38Speaker 2: So real issues. I don't know what he's talking about.
- 1:41Speaker 2: They love to use that jargon staffing triggers, AH, staffing
- 1:45Speaker 2: trigger Who knows what the hell that is.
- 1:47Speaker 3: But here is air traffic controllers are seeing and end
- 1:51Speaker 3: to the shutdown and feel more hopeful, and they're coming
- 1:55Speaker 3: in to their facilities.
- 1:56Speaker 5: So we're grateful to them for all that they're doing.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Yeah, when they weren't getting paid, you know, the didn't
- 2:01Speaker 2: get paid for forty days, and some wouldn't work without
- 2:03Speaker 2: getting paid. They just called in sick. But some even
- 2:06Speaker 2: without getting paid, felt the duty to come in and
- 2:09Speaker 2: they did. And President Trump said he will try to
- 2:11Speaker 2: get each one that came in and worked during the shutdown,
- 2:14Speaker 2: get them a ten thousand dollars bonus, so that'll be
- 2:17Speaker 2: good news. Once the shutdowns over, everybody gets paid. Everybody
- 2:21Speaker 2: gets their back pay, so nobody loses a penny on this.
- 2:25Speaker 2: And then the big issue then after the shutdown, the
- 2:28Speaker 2: Democrats got nothing out of it. But nobody ever does
- 2:31Speaker 2: no party, Republicans or Democrats. Fourteen shutdowns. It's never done
- 2:36Speaker 2: any good for one side or another. The shutdown caucus
- 2:40Speaker 2: is oh for fourteen. It never accomplishes anything. You could
- 2:43Speaker 2: argue that one thing Democrats got out of it is though,
- 2:47Speaker 2: and they'll tell you this, well, the one thing they
- 2:49Speaker 2: got out of it. And now we've brought the focus
- 2:51Speaker 2: back to healthcare, Obamacare, the Affordable Care Act, fixing it.
- 2:55Speaker 2: We brought the focus back on that. That'll be in
- 2:57Speaker 2: the spotlight. That's what one. But at some point people
- 3:04Speaker 2: got start to realize, wait a minute, there's something this
- 3:06Speaker 2: Obamacare was obviously a failure. First of all, they called
- 3:09Speaker 2: it the Affordable Care Act. If it's so affordable, why
- 3:12Speaker 2: would you need a subsidy. It's supposed to be affordable
- 3:16Speaker 2: by definition. But the other thing is people are starting
- 3:19Speaker 2: to realize, wait a minute, the fact that we're talking
- 3:22Speaker 2: about it, the fact that it's a major issue means
- 3:25Speaker 2: it's not working. If it was working great, you wouldn't
- 3:27Speaker 2: be hearing about it. It wouldn't be an issue. The
- 3:29Speaker 2: fact that it's an issue, the fact that you had
- 3:31Speaker 2: to shut down a government over it, means it's a disaster.
- 3:35Speaker 2: It's not working at all. It's a big problem. President
- 3:39Speaker 2: Trump keeps talking about, you know, redoing it. Come up
- 3:41Speaker 2: with something else. You know, people say, well, where's the plan,
- 3:45Speaker 2: what's the plan? He doesn't have one yet.
- 3:47Speaker 5: But.
- 3:49Speaker 2: You know, and he's not a healthcare expert, but he
- 3:51Speaker 2: certainly got a lot a lot of people there that
- 3:53Speaker 2: are and they could come up with something much better. Remember,
- 3:56Speaker 2: President Trump's the only president ever in history who took
- 4:02Speaker 2: office having already run healthcare plans. You know, he's a
- 4:05Speaker 2: guy that had ten thousand employees and lots of companies
- 4:09Speaker 2: and lots and lots and lots and lots of people
- 4:11Speaker 2: to get healthcare for so over forty years he's been
- 4:14Speaker 2: buying and getting healthcare plans. And when you do that
- 4:17Speaker 2: for a major company with thousands of employees, you've got
- 4:20Speaker 2: to meet with these healthcare plan companies and go over them.
- 4:23Speaker 2: So he's got some exit's minor compared to a government
- 4:27Speaker 2: health care plan. But he's got more experience at this
- 4:30Speaker 2: than any other president ever has.
- 4:32Speaker 6: Here he is on the the premiums have gone up
- 4:34Speaker 6: like rocket ships, and I'm not just talking about recent
- 4:36Speaker 6: I want instead of going to the insurance companies, I
- 4:38Speaker 6: want the money to go into an account for people
- 4:41Speaker 6: with the people buy their own health insurance.
- 4:42Speaker 4: It's so good, the.
- 4:45Speaker 6: Insurance will be better, it'll cost less. Everybody's going to
- 4:49Speaker 6: be happy. They're going to feel like entrepreneurs are actually
- 4:51Speaker 6: able to go out and negotiate their own health insurance.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, I mean that sounds good on paper. It
- 4:57Speaker 2: doesn't actually always work in reality now. But the thing is,
- 4:59Speaker 2: if let's say it's costing you one hundred thousand per
- 5:02Speaker 2: person to give them the healthcare, it might be cheaper
- 5:05Speaker 2: just to here's thirty thousand go out and buy regular healthcare.
- 5:08Speaker 2: So he's got something there. He hasn't got it figured out,
- 5:10Speaker 2: but he's got something there. Here's the real problem with Obamacare.
- 5:13Speaker 2: The idea was you'd make everybody go on it, and
- 5:17Speaker 2: then all the people under forty never need anything. They
- 5:20Speaker 2: don't have any big medical expenses, so they're just pumping
- 5:23Speaker 2: money in and that's paying for the older people who
- 5:26Speaker 2: need the services. But courts looked at that and it
- 5:31Speaker 2: looked like the courts were going to rule against that,
- 5:32Speaker 2: saying you just can't mandate it. You can't force people
- 5:37Speaker 2: onto healthcare. But so before the courts even got to that,
- 5:41Speaker 2: and it was the twenty seventeen legislation, they removed the mandate.
- 5:46Speaker 2: They just knew it wouldn't hold up, so that there
- 5:47Speaker 2: was no more mandate. And if younger people don't have
- 5:50Speaker 2: to get the healthcare, they don't because they don't get sick.
- 5:53Speaker 2: So without all the young people paying in, it was
- 5:56Speaker 2: just old people taking money out. So the Obamacare system
- 6:00Speaker 2: collapsed under the weight doctor Oz, I mean, he's one
- 6:04Speaker 2: of the guys that knows a little about this kind
- 6:06Speaker 2: of stuff, will help try to fix. Here's doctor Alot.
- 6:08Speaker 3: I'm going to share with you numbers that will blow
- 6:10Speaker 3: your mind. And these are the actual numbers from CMS.
- 6:12Speaker 3: We believe four point four million people are not appropriately
- 6:18Speaker 3: enrolled in Obamacare, which means they're phantoms. They don't know
- 6:20Speaker 3: they have the insurance, they don't want the insurance, they
- 6:22Speaker 3: didn't need the insurance. They're already enrolled in some other policies,
- 6:25Speaker 3: so we as taxpayers are paying for four point four
- 6:29Speaker 3: million people to have full benefits for no good reason.
- 6:32Speaker 2: That's the other problem. If the government runs the healthcare.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Government has tended to be sloppy, stupid, and you know,
- 6:37Speaker 2: the private sector, it's their money, so they police themselves
- 6:40Speaker 2: a lot better.
- 6:41Speaker 3: It's over eleven million people who have Obamacare never use
- 6:45Speaker 3: their policies. They don't buy medications with it, they don't
- 6:47Speaker 3: see doctors and use it, which means they often don't
- 6:50Speaker 3: know they have it. And yet we're still stuck with
- 6:52Speaker 3: the bill. The President doesn't want that anymore. He wants
- 6:54Speaker 3: to waste, fraud and abuse taken out of the system.
- 6:56Speaker 3: He wants to take care of the people getting the
- 6:59Speaker 3: aca Obamaca cares insurance, and we want to bring privatelycarried
- 7:04Speaker 3: people into the system as well. And that's what he's
- 7:06Speaker 3: talking about. Let Americans use their money wisely.
- 7:09Speaker 2: That's a good argument. You know, government overpays, like the
- 7:11Speaker 2: ten percent for things. You know, a simple thing like
- 7:15Speaker 2: pav in the highway. If the private sector does it
- 7:19Speaker 2: pave a a mile of highway forty thousand dollars, when
- 7:23Speaker 2: the government does it a million a mile I mean,
- 7:25Speaker 2: he just overpay for everything. So it's a good argument. Now,
- 7:28Speaker 2: Hakeem Jeffreys, that's silly. The House Leader of the Democrats,
- 7:35Speaker 2: such a dumb guy. But he was asked about what
- 7:38Speaker 2: doctor Oz said.
- 7:39Speaker 7: Here, Nobody who's serious in this country takes doctor Oz seriously,
- 7:44Speaker 7: no one, and I mean it's shocking that the guy
- 7:49Speaker 7: even was confirmed. I'm not going to respond to any
- 7:53Speaker 7: comments from Randalls like doctor Oz, who is woefully unqualified
- 7:57Speaker 7: to be in whatever position he holds any administration.
- 8:01Speaker 2: He's a joke. That's pretty funny, actually, I think I
- 8:06Speaker 2: just think of doctor Oz, one of the greatest heart
- 8:09Speaker 2: surgeons in America, an incredible medical career at all the
- 8:12Speaker 2: top hospitals. You couldn't have a bigger career as a
- 8:15Speaker 2: doctor or in the medical world. Hakim Jeffries IQ of
- 8:21Speaker 2: ninety ninety five maybe never did a thing in his life,
- 8:25Speaker 2: doesn't know anything, has no skills, so he had to
- 8:27Speaker 2: go in a government thinks Oz as a joke. Hakim Jeffries.
- 8:32Speaker 2: Oz has literally, well almost literally double the IQ of
- 8:36Speaker 2: Hakim Jeffries.
- 8:37Speaker 3: You know he didn't understand the message.
- 8:38Speaker 2: Well his eyes responding to Hakim Jeffries.
- 8:41Speaker 3: You know, he didn't understand the message. That's an important one,
- 8:44Speaker 3: so he tried to attack the messenger with an ad
- 8:46Speaker 3: hominem approach. But you know, that's not how you deal
- 8:48Speaker 3: with the challenges that twenty four million people are facing
- 8:52Speaker 3: now because the Democratic Party has not been able to
- 8:54Speaker 3: really put forward a program that could work. Just throwing
- 8:57Speaker 3: more money at it is not a strategy. That's a
- 8:59Speaker 3: tactic that has already created immense amounts of fraud in
- 9:02Speaker 3: the system.
- 9:03Speaker 2: Yeah, very good point. Now I say nothing came of
- 9:05Speaker 2: the shutdown, Well, some good came out of it. We're
- 9:08Speaker 2: probably going to get rid of Chuck Schumer. His term
- 9:12Speaker 2: is till he doesn't run for reelection till twenty twenty eight,
- 9:15Speaker 2: so he actually serves till January of twenty twenty nine.
- 9:19Speaker 2: That's three more years of this guy. But the good
- 9:22Speaker 2: news is Democrats can't take three more years of this guy.
- 9:25Speaker 2: They want to remove him as House leader, a Senate leader.
- 9:28Speaker 2: They want to remove him as the Senate leader, which
- 9:31Speaker 2: will be a huge humiliation for him. President Trump, I
- 9:34Speaker 2: just went too far.
- 9:34Speaker 6: He thought he could break the Republicans, and the Republicans
- 9:38Speaker 6: broke him. We have good policy, they have bad policy,
- 9:41Speaker 6: and there's something I don't know if it's Trump derangement
- 9:44Speaker 6: or they just crazed. They're like crazed lunatics, but you know,
- 9:47Speaker 6: we have just great policy.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Yeah, now Schumer's finished. They all hate him, the high
- 9:52Speaker 2: falutin Morning Joe, Rachel Maddow type shows, the John Stewart,
- 9:57Speaker 2: they're going after him like crazy. But even the dumb shows,
- 10:00Speaker 2: even the low IQ shows, and sometimes they're a better
- 10:02Speaker 2: barometer because if the low IQ shows have figured it out,
- 10:05Speaker 2: that means everybody has like listen to the view when
- 10:08Speaker 2: they talk about Chuck Schumer.
- 10:09Speaker 8: So the bottom line is the Democrats went into this
- 10:11Speaker 8: after a blue wave out of the American people saying
- 10:15Speaker 8: we do want the opposition, the working people want the
- 10:19Speaker 8: Democratic Party to fight for them, and now they just
- 10:22Speaker 8: cave and surrendered. I think Chuck Schumer his days are
- 10:25Speaker 8: over and he cannot put that and he cannot keep
- 10:29Speaker 8: his pockets together. If he cannot keep hisquokets together, he
- 10:32Speaker 8: needs to go.
- 10:33Speaker 5: He needs to be.
- 10:34Speaker 2: Yeah, the audience applotting wildly to get rid of Chuck Schumer. Hey,
- 10:39Speaker 2: there's a lot of media attacks coming against Donald Trump.
- 10:42Speaker 2: You're gonna be hearing about these for the next day
- 10:43Speaker 2: or two. First is Jeffrey Epstein. You're going to keep
- 10:47Speaker 2: hearing about secret emails, undiscovered email he knew emails have emerged.
- 10:52Speaker 2: Epstein says, Trump knew all about everything about the women,
- 10:55Speaker 2: about all of it. Well, none of this is true.
- 10:58Speaker 2: It turns out the what the talking about, the their
- 11:00Speaker 2: emails where he's writing. Michael wolf the sleezy, dirty tabloid writer,
- 11:06Speaker 2: the sleezy, dirty gossip writer, contact at Epstein at some
- 11:10Speaker 2: point and Epstein's writing back and forth. Now everybody knows
- 11:13Speaker 2: about Michael Wolfe, I mean people that deal with him.
- 11:16Speaker 2: Guy will say anything about Trump if you If you
- 11:19Speaker 2: don't believe me, just go check his Instagram. Every day
- 11:21Speaker 2: he makes an Instagram video where he's sitting in a
- 11:24Speaker 2: different part of his house or he's in his backyard
- 11:26Speaker 2: looks like the Hamptons and he's just sitting there bad
- 11:30Speaker 2: mouthing Trump the worst attacks in the world. None of
- 11:33Speaker 2: them are true. Go back and watch the old ones.
- 11:34Speaker 2: You'll see nothing he said ever came true. And he's
- 11:37Speaker 2: written two books about Trump, and he gets himself on
- 11:39Speaker 2: every Sunday show. It just makes up crap about Trump
- 11:44Speaker 2: and a lot of Times people, a lot of people
- 11:47Speaker 2: that are media savvy. When you get one of those guys,
- 11:50Speaker 2: one of those reporters, writers calmis, that will print anything
- 11:55Speaker 2: and they don't really verify it. They'll print anything you
- 11:58Speaker 2: tell them. You know, you can tell him anything, so
- 12:00Speaker 2: you just make up crap and tell him. You know,
- 12:02Speaker 2: if you're talking to some very very top journalist the world,
- 12:06Speaker 2: you gotta be careful. You know, if you tell him
- 12:07Speaker 2: something that's not true, he's gonna check it and then
- 12:09Speaker 2: he's not gonna trust you anymore. But when you're talking
- 12:12Speaker 2: to him Michael, well, if you can tell him anything
- 12:14Speaker 2: and he'll he'll run with it. So that's Epstein talking
- 12:17Speaker 2: to Wolf. And it's just it's it's just nonsense. It's
- 12:21Speaker 2: this is back in twenty nineteen, so it's years ago.
- 12:25Speaker 2: It was a two thousand and sixteen or twenty eleven
- 12:27Speaker 2: or something. It's way way way back. It's it's a
- 12:29Speaker 2: long time ago. And he says Trump Trump knew about
- 12:32Speaker 2: all the girls. Well, he probably did, because I remember
- 12:38Speaker 2: way back when, twenty years ago. More than that, Trump
- 12:41Speaker 2: warning me and other people to stay the hell away
- 12:44Speaker 2: from Epstein. In fact, I mean I knew Epstein not well.
- 12:47Speaker 2: But I one reason is Trump and two other people
- 12:51Speaker 2: who you wouldn't know, always warned me stay away from
- 12:54Speaker 2: this guy. Hey, don't go near this guy. And then
- 12:58Speaker 2: the other thing is there about Marloge. You know, Trump
- 13:02Speaker 2: banned Epstein from mar A Lago when Epstein first got
- 13:05Speaker 2: to Palm Beach as a very wealthy guy. When you're
- 13:08Speaker 2: a wealthy hotshot and new to Palm Beach, first thing
- 13:11Speaker 2: you do is you joined mar A Lago. And he
- 13:13Speaker 2: was spending a lot of time there, but he was
- 13:15Speaker 2: hitting on a young girl that worked in the locker room.
- 13:18Speaker 2: Turned out it was the daughter of a member. Trump
- 13:20Speaker 2: went crazy, banned him, threw him out of the club,
- 13:23Speaker 2: never spoke to him again. So you're going to see
- 13:25Speaker 2: one of these emails. Epstein tells Michael Wolfe. I was
- 13:29Speaker 2: never a member of mar A Lago. I was never
- 13:31Speaker 2: a member. As if Trump were lying now, it could
- 13:34Speaker 2: be was never a member because back in those days,
- 13:37Speaker 2: if you were a friend of Trump's you didn't have
- 13:38Speaker 2: to be a member. You could go anyway. It wasn't
- 13:41Speaker 2: that formal. Whenever you wanted to go, you just called
- 13:44Speaker 2: Trump's office and they would put your name on at
- 13:46Speaker 2: the Gate to come in anytime you want, you just
- 13:48Speaker 2: call you'd call Rona or before that, you'd call Norma
- 13:52Speaker 2: and you could go to mar alago A lot of
- 13:54Speaker 2: his friends just went there, some of them famously not
- 13:57Speaker 2: paying for anything, charging everything to Trump. But you could
- 14:00Speaker 2: do that back then. So don't trust any of these emails.
- 14:04Speaker 9: Now.
- 14:04Speaker 2: The other thing that's going to come out, you know,
- 14:06Speaker 2: Letitia James is in big trouble. Mortgage fraud. They came
- 14:10Speaker 2: up with all this stuff she lied on, lied to
- 14:12Speaker 2: the bank, lied to you know, mortgage fraud. She claimed
- 14:15Speaker 2: it would be a primary residence when it couldn't be
- 14:18Speaker 2: set it on several documents. This is all fraud and
- 14:21Speaker 2: it also is going to lead to indictments for tax
- 14:24Speaker 2: evasion all that kind of stuff. So they're going to
- 14:26Speaker 2: start to go after this that somehow whoever got these
- 14:30Speaker 2: documents and dug up this fraud, got them illegally, that
- 14:34Speaker 2: it was illegal for them to even see these documents
- 14:36Speaker 2: or get them. So they're going to try all that.
- 14:39Speaker 2: You're going to see that coming the next few days.
- 14:40Speaker 2: They're also going to be going after cash Patel for
- 14:45Speaker 2: they're gonna claim he leaked stuff or he revealed stuff
- 14:48Speaker 2: too early. They're also going to go after his use
- 14:50Speaker 2: of private jets. You know, look at this he went
- 14:53Speaker 2: it's got a girlfriend in the Puerto Rico or someplace.
- 14:56Speaker 2: He went down there twice to see her and took
- 14:58Speaker 2: private jets both as well. A lot of private jet use.
- 15:02Speaker 2: But you're gonna the truth is as FBI director, he's
- 15:06Speaker 2: not allowed to fly commercial. That's the rule, that's the law.
- 15:10Speaker 2: He's got to fly on a private jet at all times.
- 15:13Speaker 2: So now President might still be unhappy that he's using
- 15:18Speaker 2: private jets a little too much, but so expect these
- 15:22Speaker 2: attacks to come. We'll get to Mom Donnie coming up.
- 15:24Speaker 2: He's done a couple of interesting interviews yesterday. What he's
- 15:27Speaker 2: going to be up to. Democrats have somebody even worse
- 15:30Speaker 2: than Mom Donnie. They're about to unleash on us. We'll
- 15:32Speaker 2: get to that coming up, and a whole lot more. Hey,
- 15:35Speaker 2: and if you use open table, we're going to warn
- 15:38Speaker 2: you about a few things coming up, and we'll take
- 15:41Speaker 2: some calls. Next. Eight hundred three two one zero seven
- 15:45Speaker 2: ten is the number eight hundred three to two one
- 15:48Speaker 2: zero seven ten.
- 15:49Speaker 1: Let's get back to the Mark Simone show on wor.
- 15:54Speaker 2: Well, let's take some calls. Let's go to uh Rich
- 15:56Speaker 2: and Myrtle Beach. Rich, how you.
- 15:58Speaker 9: Doing old and windy down here yesterday and today? But
- 16:02Speaker 9: it should be better by the end of the week.
- 16:03Speaker 9: You know, you brought up so many points. I don't
- 16:05Speaker 9: even know where to begin. But we'll start with Jeffries.
- 16:08Speaker 9: You know, when this country was founded, it was the
- 16:11Speaker 9: best and the brightest became our politicians. They did a
- 16:15Speaker 9: couple of terms and got the got the heck out
- 16:18Speaker 9: guys like Jeffries and Schumer and uh what's the name
- 16:22Speaker 9: from California who's just passed away?
- 16:24Speaker 5: Uh?
- 16:25Speaker 10: What you know these people?
- 16:29Speaker 9: If you don't, if this isn't the perfect case for
- 16:32Speaker 9: to get rid of all, to get term limits, to
- 16:34Speaker 9: get rid of.
- 16:34Speaker 2: All, well that's the argument, and that was the original idea.
- 16:37Speaker 2: Citizen legislatures comes sir for a while. Go back. You're right,
- 16:40Speaker 2: you professional politicians, you get hacks that can't make it
- 16:43Speaker 2: in the private sector. But how are you gonna get
- 16:47Speaker 2: Only Congress can vote for term limits, so they're not
- 16:50Speaker 2: going to vote for they're not going to term limit
- 16:52Speaker 2: themselves out this. Yeah, but you're right, there's got to
- 16:54Speaker 2: be a way to do it. Let's go to uh
- 16:56Speaker 2: Mara in Nevada. Mara, how you doing so good?
- 16:59Speaker 11: I'm talking to you chiw Vincent, Mark, I have two things,
- 17:03Speaker 11: Vincent suggested Sal from Patsy's as a junior honorary member
- 17:08Speaker 11: of the fan club. Of course, Vincent's honorary. That means
- 17:12Speaker 11: your seventy. You're in your seventies, So Salas.
- 17:15Speaker 2: I understand. But Sal's a big guy, big restaurant, tourist,
- 17:18Speaker 2: busy and the time for your fan club. But what's
- 17:21Speaker 2: the second?
- 17:21Speaker 11: Wait, Mark, here's why I called yeah, imagine an ugly,
- 17:26Speaker 11: ugly thing is going to happen. July fourth, twenty twenty
- 17:30Speaker 11: Sixth's the anniversary of our beloved with the United States
- 17:34Speaker 11: and my beloved New York City, which was the first capital,
- 17:39Speaker 11: which George Washington was inaugurate Fornce's tavern. George Washington said
- 17:45Speaker 11: goodbye to the Yeah, Mark.
- 17:46Speaker 2: Mara, we got it's only a two hour show. Yeah, yeah,
- 17:49Speaker 2: all right, Well, yeah, twenty twenty six is two hundred
- 17:53Speaker 2: and fiftieth anniversary. All kinds of celebrations planned. Let's go
- 17:57Speaker 2: to Mike and Florida. Mike, how you doing?
- 18:00Speaker 4: Good morning?
- 18:01Speaker 12: Mark, Yes, it's amazing how how clever the Democrats are.
- 18:06Speaker 12: You know, they have this thing that with Trump that
- 18:08Speaker 12: they keep dredging up every you know, they have five
- 18:11Speaker 12: or six items and then it's in a cycle. So
- 18:14Speaker 12: you know, for the next week or so, it's going
- 18:15Speaker 12: to be the.
- 18:16Speaker 13: Epstein stuff again, as you pointed out, and then it'll
- 18:18Speaker 13: go back to Ice being Nazis again. And the Republicans
- 18:22Speaker 13: are always left with this Mondani election. You would think
- 18:27Speaker 13: you would hear something to defect. We're going to bring
- 18:30Speaker 13: him into court for every single thing like they do
- 18:33Speaker 13: to Trump that he tries to pass. No, Republicans are
- 18:36Speaker 13: going to be like, oh, well, you're going to try
- 18:38Speaker 13: to get along with them and see make do when
- 18:40Speaker 13: them only if. And it's just amazing the two different
- 18:43Speaker 13: parties the way they Yeah, you're.
- 18:46Speaker 2: Right, but the Republican argument is you don't want to
- 18:49Speaker 2: behave like Democrats, you don't want to get like that.
- 18:52Speaker 13: Yeah, and because you would win.
- 18:55Speaker 2: The I mean the argument you can't remember most of
- 18:57Speaker 2: these said protesters that don't work, they've nothing to do,
- 19:00Speaker 2: they're one hundred years old or they're twenty, they're just
- 19:04Speaker 2: not doing it. You know, Republicans all go to work
- 19:06Speaker 2: every day. They're all busy, they don't have time. And remember,
- 19:09Speaker 2: for Democrats, politics is a cult, a religion. It's for Republicans,
- 19:13Speaker 2: they're busy with work and family and everything else.
- 19:17Speaker 13: I'd like to see them be a little bit more aggressive.
- 19:19Speaker 2: All right, Now, you're not wrong, You're not wrong. Let's
- 19:21Speaker 2: go to Bill in Pennsylvania. Bill, how you doing?
- 19:25Speaker 13: How you doing?
- 19:26Speaker 14: Mark?
- 19:26Speaker 15: I got a real healthcare boblem.
- 19:29Speaker 5: The other day.
- 19:30Speaker 15: I had a heart attack.
- 19:32Speaker 2: And I, oh, I hope you're okay.
- 19:35Speaker 15: Well, the only insurance I had was for my cat
- 19:38Speaker 15: being and had that insurance. And when I went into
- 19:42Speaker 15: the hospital, I said, with this addition symptoms you have
- 19:46Speaker 15: and this insurance, we're going to have to put you down.
- 19:51Speaker 2: What there's something most important thing. Are you all right now?
- 19:56Speaker 2: Are you okay?
- 19:58Speaker 13: Yes?
- 19:58Speaker 15: Sure, I am fine.
- 20:00Speaker 5: I'm just You're gonna.
- 20:01Speaker 2: Take care of yourself now. You're gonna eat better, sleep more,
- 20:04Speaker 2: no smoking, no drinking.
- 20:06Speaker 13: You didn't think that was funny at all to bubbly down.
- 20:09Speaker 2: Oh it was a joke, all right. Anyway, thanks for calling.
- 20:13Speaker 2: Let's go to Shelley and Long Island. Shelley, how you doing?
- 20:17Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 20:18Speaker 16: Hey, Mark, love the show. About the Stephonic and Bruce
- 20:23Speaker 16: Blakeman going against each other. Possibly, don't you think that
- 20:27Speaker 16: at least Stephonic would be better to go up against
- 20:30Speaker 16: Tocal woman to woman. We really need to win New York.
- 20:35Speaker 16: We don't need these two in fighting.
- 20:37Speaker 14: And my second.
- 20:38Speaker 16: Question is Trump. Is Trump aware of the ismification going
- 20:43Speaker 16: on across our nation?
- 20:44Speaker 4: Oh?
- 20:44Speaker 2: Yeah, of course he is. Yeah, Now this can be
- 20:46Speaker 2: an interesting fight Stephanic Bruce Blakeman. The convention is I
- 20:51Speaker 2: think in February, the convention, they decide who they're gonna
- 20:55Speaker 2: go with. Yes, Stephonic would be great. She's great attacking Hokel.
- 21:01Speaker 2: You saw her battle Hocal in those congressional hearings. She's
- 21:05Speaker 2: really good at taking on Hokel. Blakeman would be the
- 21:07Speaker 2: better governor obviously, I mean, because he's you know, she's
- 21:10Speaker 2: a legislator. He's a real, you know, management guy. He
- 21:13Speaker 2: runs Nassau County. He's been the governor of Nassau County
- 21:16Speaker 2: for four years and been brilliant at it. So obviously
- 21:20Speaker 2: Blakeman would do better downstate. Stefan would do better upstate.
- 21:24Speaker 2: And it's a good problem to have two great candidates.
- 21:27Speaker 2: It's a great problem if I'd go with Blakeman. But
- 21:29Speaker 2: it's having these two great candidates having a battle it out.
- 21:33Speaker 2: Good situation to be in. So you know one thing,
- 21:35Speaker 2: you know you're gonna have a good, good candidate this
- 21:38Speaker 2: time around for governor. Hey, when we come back, Alan's
- 21:41Speaker 2: Wye Bell, the great producer, writer, a comedian will be
- 21:44Speaker 2: with us, and you'll get a lot of television stuff
- 21:46Speaker 2: to talk about. Primetime television it's pretty much fading away.
- 21:51Speaker 2: It's uh, well, we'll get into why why streaming is
- 21:54Speaker 2: just killing it and a whole lot. Hey, he's also
- 21:57Speaker 2: working on a Rodney Dangerfield movie. We'll get to that
- 22:00Speaker 2: coming up next on seven to ten w R.
- 22:04Speaker 1: Seven wors Mark Simone Show continues.
- 22:08Speaker 2: Now Well, Alan's y Bell, the great writer, producer, comedian,
- 22:14Speaker 2: best selling author. Get is a book his life story.
- 22:16Speaker 2: It's very funny, a lot of great stories. It's called Laughlines.
- 22:19Speaker 2: You can get it on Amazon. Laugh Lines. And it's
- 22:23Speaker 2: great to come back with us. Alan's y Bell. How
- 22:25Speaker 2: you doing.
- 22:26Speaker 5: I'm great. How are you Mark?
- 22:27Speaker 2: I'm good.
- 22:28Speaker 9: Hey.
- 22:28Speaker 2: First I want to ask you about the Network TV.
- 22:30Speaker 2: Primetime Network TV used to be the biggest sitcoms and
- 22:34Speaker 2: dramas it's all going away. You know. Even Blue Blood's
- 22:37Speaker 2: highest rate to get canceled because it costs too much
- 22:40Speaker 2: money to do car chases, and it's like making a
- 22:42Speaker 2: movie every week, and they replace it, you know, they
- 22:45Speaker 2: replace it with game shows and stuff.
- 22:48Speaker 5: Well, game shows are very very cheap to produce, right, yeah,
- 22:52Speaker 5: and very few car chases, you know in a game show. Okay, now,
- 22:58Speaker 5: family feud. I never saw a card chase. Yeah, you know,
- 23:01Speaker 5: it's what it is is. Yeah, you've got escalating a
- 23:05Speaker 5: production course you have. As a series gets older and older,
- 23:10Speaker 5: it's cast gets more money and more money, and after
- 23:12Speaker 5: a while, I guess the networks look at it and go, okay,
- 23:17Speaker 5: what kind of return are we getting on these investments?
- 23:19Speaker 5: And it's a shame because a lot of good shows
- 23:22Speaker 5: get canceled for that reason.
- 23:24Speaker 2: Yeah, years ago, Prime Time you got the thirty million viewers,
- 23:27Speaker 2: you could pay for everything. But now if you're going
- 23:28Speaker 2: to get two million viewers, you can't have a twenty
- 23:31Speaker 2: five cars in a chase scene and four thousand trailers.
- 23:34Speaker 5: You know what it is. The pie is split into
- 23:37Speaker 5: so many pieces now, so many sessions. You know, you
- 23:40Speaker 5: would go back with showing our age, but there was
- 23:43Speaker 5: a time where it was only ABC, CBS, and NBC,
- 23:47Speaker 5: and then Fox came along. In the late eighties, we
- 23:51Speaker 5: had four networks. Now cable streaming all the other platforms.
- 23:57Speaker 5: Everybody is fighting for a little piece of that same pie,
- 24:01Speaker 5: meaning the viewing audience. Plus you know, it's no longer
- 24:05Speaker 5: a communal gathering to watch the show. It used to
- 24:10Speaker 5: be everybody was around the TV eight o'clock on Sunday
- 24:14Speaker 5: nights because then Sullivan was on, and then you changed
- 24:16Speaker 5: the channel, which was a big to do. At nine o'clock,
- 24:19Speaker 5: Bonanza came on on NBC. But now you know your
- 24:23Speaker 5: DV are it and you watch it at your leisure,
- 24:26Speaker 5: or you'd get a family. I know there are times
- 24:29Speaker 5: where I'll discover that my wife and I, who are
- 24:32Speaker 5: in different rooms. Let's say in our house we're watching
- 24:35Speaker 5: the same show at the same time. We shouldn't we
- 24:37Speaker 5: be next to each other.
- 24:38Speaker 2: No, yeah, not a good idea. But so last night,
- 24:43Speaker 2: all of a sudden, they had the Golden Girls thirtieth
- 24:46Speaker 2: anniversary or whatever it was, it special where they brought
- 24:49Speaker 2: them all bay and then the next month, later this month,
- 24:52Speaker 2: the're gonna have Everybody Loves Raymond thirtieth anniversary. Is this
- 24:55Speaker 2: the new cheap skate form of programming for network TV?
- 24:59Speaker 5: Well, you know, one thing, I think it's a combination
- 25:01Speaker 5: of a lot of things. You get you know, it's
- 25:03Speaker 5: fun for the audience to see who they were, remember
- 25:06Speaker 5: who they were, because you're still alive and young, younger
- 25:10Speaker 5: in reruns, right, this is what they look like now
- 25:13Speaker 5: we all age thirty years. It's fun to see them
- 25:16Speaker 5: together again. And you know something, I don't know the
- 25:19Speaker 5: cost of those things, but it seems to me that
- 25:22Speaker 5: everybody's happy to do it. You know, years ago there
- 25:26Speaker 5: was a Murphy Brown one, and you know, if you
- 25:28Speaker 5: go down a list, it's been a lot of reunion shows,
- 25:31Speaker 5: so you know, I guess they're here to stay.
- 25:35Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 25:35Speaker 2: Also, if you were in the cast of the show,
- 25:37Speaker 2: you know, the big star might have had a piece
- 25:38Speaker 2: of the show, made a fortune or still a big star.
- 25:41Speaker 2: But if you were just in the cast, this is
- 25:43Speaker 2: your big chance to get back on television. Already forgot
- 25:45Speaker 2: about the cast?
- 25:47Speaker 5: Well that's absolutely true. You're in front of a camera,
- 25:49Speaker 5: you're in front of an audience, and you go, oh wow,
- 25:52Speaker 5: she's still alive. Who knew?
- 25:58Speaker 2: Hey tell us about your working on this ride dangerous project.
- 26:01Speaker 2: I can't wait to see this because it's everybody loves
- 26:03Speaker 2: this guy. Tell us what's going on with that?
- 26:06Speaker 5: Well, we had a reading of the first act a
- 26:08Speaker 5: couple of weeks ago. It went very well.
- 26:10Speaker 2: Broadway show, right, a Broadway play, This would be a
- 26:13Speaker 2: Broadway show.
- 26:14Speaker 5: And I got this terrific director named Maritz I can't
- 26:19Speaker 5: pronounce his last name, Van, then s and a bunch
- 26:23Speaker 5: of continents.
- 26:24Speaker 17: Okay, guy, great director. And now it's going to be
- 26:31Speaker 17: our turn to go in and dig a little deeper
- 26:33Speaker 17: and finish the story that I've been working on. So
- 26:38Speaker 17: it's really exciting.
- 26:39Speaker 4: You know.
- 26:40Speaker 5: I love the theater. I've done it a number of
- 26:43Speaker 5: times off Broadway and on Broadway with Billy Crystal's show
- 26:46Speaker 5: Seven hundred Sundays, and Martin Short had a show that
- 26:49Speaker 5: I co wrote. So, you know, something being you know,
- 26:55Speaker 5: having come from live TV, you know, with an audience
- 26:59Speaker 5: and your rights something in the morning and it's on
- 27:01Speaker 5: TV at night. This is the closest you get to
- 27:04Speaker 5: it because movies take forever and you're usually doing the
- 27:07Speaker 5: same same scene over and over again for the crew, okay,
- 27:11Speaker 5: And so to have an audience response to something that
- 27:15Speaker 5: you wrote is no better feeling for a writer.
- 27:18Speaker 2: Yeah, this is not a musical, is it.
- 27:22Speaker 5: You can sing while you're sitting in your teeth, Mark,
- 27:25Speaker 5: But no, nobody on stage will be seeing.
- 27:27Speaker 2: Good, good good. I don't want that.
- 27:28Speaker 5: And well no, no, no, no, no, there won't be
- 27:31Speaker 5: any no.
- 27:32Speaker 2: Things oh good, oh good, it'll be now. Rodney Dangerfield
- 27:36Speaker 2: great comedian, funny guy, but there was like a dark
- 27:40Speaker 2: side to him. Will we see some of that?
- 27:43Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 27:44Speaker 5: I think you have to. I think you know, you
- 27:47Speaker 5: have a main character that had demons and had vices,
- 27:53Speaker 5: and there are reasons for it, and but what the
- 27:56Speaker 5: reason he was such a hero is that he took
- 27:59Speaker 5: those demons, and he took those vices and the things
- 28:02Speaker 5: that he felt inferior about and he made that into
- 28:05Speaker 5: his act. I don't get no respect, Okay, it was
- 28:11Speaker 5: he looked at head on, you know what I mean.
- 28:13Speaker 5: So that came from a hurtful place, but at the
- 28:17Speaker 5: same time it was his way of getting a laugh,
- 28:19Speaker 5: getting acceptance from audiences, you know, and taking control. So
- 28:26Speaker 5: did there's a great degree of heroism there.
- 28:29Speaker 2: Yeah. Now, obviously casting is crucial and it'd be great
- 28:34Speaker 2: to star in this great Broadway show, this play, but
- 28:37Speaker 2: kind of unflattering if you're going to get cast as
- 28:39Speaker 2: Rodney Dansfield. Somebody says, why you look just like.
- 28:44Speaker 4: You know.
- 28:46Speaker 5: We've had some talks about it, but right now, as
- 28:49Speaker 5: the writer, I'm just writing it for Rodney and Rodney's voice.
- 28:53Speaker 4: Okay. Yeah.
- 28:54Speaker 5: Once it's done and we're happy with the script, or
- 28:57Speaker 5: the producers are happy with the script, then it's going
- 28:59Speaker 5: to be time to talk turkey. Okay, who can play him? Okay?
- 29:04Speaker 5: And then you know, there's I'm sure that there'll be
- 29:08Speaker 5: a lot of suggestions. I'm sure there will be a
- 29:10Speaker 5: lot of disagreements, and you know, in some stars are
- 29:14Speaker 5: so big that you know they don't know. Addition, you
- 29:18Speaker 5: got to guess whether or not so and so can
- 29:20Speaker 5: do it.
- 29:21Speaker 4: You know.
- 29:22Speaker 5: It's but that's down the road. So right now I'm
- 29:25Speaker 5: pretending like Rodney's still alive and he's on stage delivering
- 29:28Speaker 5: what I'm writing.
- 29:29Speaker 2: Now. The only other problem Rodney had incredible delivery for
- 29:33Speaker 2: those one liners. And I don't care how good an
- 29:35Speaker 2: actor you are, you're not gonna have that comic delivery.
- 29:38Speaker 2: That's gonna be a problem, isn't it.
- 29:40Speaker 5: Well, you know something, a lot of people impersonate him.
- 29:43Speaker 5: You're right, Rodney did have that great delivery and the timing.
- 29:49Speaker 5: You know, I remember when I wrote for him, this
- 29:52Speaker 5: is before Saturday Night Live, so this is fifty one,
- 29:55Speaker 5: fifty two years ago.
- 29:56Speaker 4: Now.
- 29:57Speaker 5: He would labor over syllables, or he would take a pause,
- 30:02Speaker 5: or he would you know, look off stage. It was
- 30:05Speaker 5: all calculated. What seemed like an had lived, what seemed like,
- 30:11Speaker 5: in the moment a sort of reaction that he would have.
- 30:15Speaker 5: Those were very, very well rehearsed. It was like jazz,
- 30:18Speaker 5: you know what I mean. He was free flowing, but
- 30:21Speaker 5: at the same time he knew but he knew where
- 30:23Speaker 5: he was going.
- 30:24Speaker 4: Wow.
- 30:25Speaker 2: Yeah, he was a real craftsman. He would record every
- 30:28Speaker 2: show's little cassette recorder and he had those index cards.
- 30:30Speaker 2: Absolutely well, right faster, we want to see this. This
- 30:34Speaker 2: is going to be a big I guarantee this will
- 30:36Speaker 2: be a huge, huge blockbuster hit.
- 30:39Speaker 5: Well, I sure, hope. So I just want to get
- 30:41Speaker 5: these words do on paper so we can take the
- 30:44Speaker 5: next step. But thank you for your confidence.
- 30:46Speaker 4: I know.
- 30:47Speaker 2: Is there is there any idea, any date, any idea
- 30:49Speaker 2: when to lappen?
- 30:50Speaker 14: No?
- 30:50Speaker 5: No, no, I think that will happen once everyone satisfied
- 30:54Speaker 5: with the script and then to look at the calendar,
- 30:57Speaker 5: to look at you know. The biggest thing also was
- 30:58Speaker 5: one or theaters availab you know, so those will be
- 31:03Speaker 5: in the hands of people like producers and agents and
- 31:06Speaker 5: whatever who know that end.
- 31:08Speaker 4: Is the business.
- 31:09Speaker 2: Well, Allen's white Belt. Great talking to everybody. Get his

- 32:52Speaker 2: political campaign. He wants to run for Jerry Nadler's house seat.
- 32:58Speaker 2: It's Jack Schlossberg. He's the only grandson of John F. Kennedy.
- 33:03Speaker 2: He is the son of Caroline Kennedy. He's just an
- 33:11Speaker 2: awful awful kid with He had an Instagram account and
- 33:14Speaker 2: a TikTok where he just said the most disgusting, awful things.
- 33:17Speaker 2: He's to the left of Mom Donnie. He's just a horrible, horrible,
- 33:22Speaker 2: awful guy. Here's a veteran political strategist, Hank Schinkoff says,
- 33:27Speaker 2: the whole idea of his campaign is ridiculous. He has
- 33:31Speaker 2: absolutely no qualifications, which makes him perfect to run as
- 33:34Speaker 2: a Democrat. But he's imitating John F. Kennedy Junior by
- 33:40Speaker 2: dressing like him, photographs of him riding his bike around Manhattan,
- 33:44Speaker 2: like just like jfk Jr. And jfk Jr. Was a
- 33:48Speaker 2: friend of mine. He was a wonderful guy, a wonderful guy.
- 33:53Speaker 2: His sister I didn't know, but she always seemed unpleasant
- 33:57Speaker 2: whenever you were around her. And her husband was a
- 34:00Speaker 2: terrible guy, just awful. And this is the son of
- 34:04Speaker 2: Caroline and what's the husband's name, Ed Schlosberg, something like that.
- 34:11Speaker 2: So again, he's just awful. If you go back and
- 34:14Speaker 2: check his early Instagram YouTube TikTok saying awful, terrible thing,
- 34:19Speaker 2: He's just an awful guy. He's how old is see?
- 34:23Speaker 2: I think he's a young guy. In his twenties. So
- 34:26Speaker 2: he's been inspired by Mom Donnie. He wants to run
- 34:30Speaker 2: for Jerry Nadler's old seat. Now I'm saying how awful
- 34:32Speaker 2: he is. Nadler was about as low as you can
- 34:35Speaker 2: sink as a human being. So it's not like it's
- 34:39Speaker 2: not like seats getting any worse. But here's Schlosberg, his
- 34:41Speaker 2: big announcement, two.
- 34:43Speaker 18: And fifty years after America was founded, and our country
- 34:46Speaker 18: is at a turning point. It's a crisis at every level,
- 34:50Speaker 18: a cost of living crisis sponsored by the Big beautiful Bill,
- 34:54Speaker 18: historic cuts to social programs, working families rely on healthcare, education.
- 35:00Speaker 2: That's pretty bad. But you got to watch the early
- 35:04Speaker 2: Instagram TikTok stuff he did. It's just him, yell, it's
- 35:07Speaker 2: the real Himmy, this is him being formal, and he
- 35:09Speaker 2: still sounds terrible. This guy is like he's Mom Donnie
- 35:13Speaker 2: with half the IQ.
- 35:14Speaker 18: We deserve better and we can do better. And it
- 35:16Speaker 18: starts with the Democratic Party winning back control of the
- 35:19Speaker 18: House of Representatives. With control of Congress, there's nothing we
- 35:23Speaker 18: can't do without it. We're helpless to a third team.
- 35:27Speaker 2: He didn't encounter great I mean, so now the problem
- 35:31Speaker 2: is whoever runs against him can go back and get
- 35:34Speaker 2: that old Instagram stuff, those videos he did where he
- 35:37Speaker 2: just says all kinds of awful things and just run
- 35:39Speaker 2: them against him. However, it's Nadler's district. It was jerry mandred,
- 35:42Speaker 2: so no Republican has a shot, but hopefully Democrats will
- 35:46Speaker 2: keep him away from the nomination.
- 35:47Speaker 18: My name is Jack Flossberg, and I'm running for Congress
- 35:51Speaker 18: to represent my home New York's twelfth congressional district where
- 35:55Speaker 18: I was born and raised, where I took the bus
- 35:57Speaker 18: to school every single day from one side the district
- 36:00Speaker 18: to the other.
- 36:01Speaker 2: Okay, thank you. You can imagine that guy that talks
- 36:04Speaker 2: like that, right, Well, he's being formal. You got to
- 36:07Speaker 2: go back and watch his TikTok on Instagram where he's
- 36:10Speaker 2: just raging like a like a nut. Hey mom. Donnie's
- 36:14Speaker 2: been doing a few interviews, one yesterday where he sounded
- 36:19Speaker 2: more definite about keeping Jessica tish. You know, he said
- 36:26Speaker 2: the earlier interviews he was open to it, but this
- 36:28Speaker 2: was more like, that's my plan. My plan is to sew.
- 36:32Speaker 2: But we'll see what she wants to do. If he's
- 36:35Speaker 2: going to try to take control of her or, you know,
- 36:37Speaker 2: push her to do things she doesn't want. She'll leave
- 36:39Speaker 2: in a second. She doesn't need to stay there, So
- 36:42Speaker 2: we'll see. We'll see what happens with that he also
- 36:45Speaker 2: had with him. Now, this is a TV interview with
- 36:48Speaker 2: Channel four. He's being interviewed and he's going to sit
- 36:51Speaker 2: right there and do the interview. But next to him
- 36:52Speaker 2: is Dean fullahand keep an eye on this guy. This
- 36:55Speaker 2: is his first deputy mayor, and it was interesting that
- 36:58Speaker 2: he had him sit with him at the interview. So
- 37:00Speaker 2: this guy's going to play a big role. Now, this
- 37:03Speaker 2: is not the guy you want running city hall either,
- 37:05Speaker 2: because he's a crazy left winger. But he was Deblasio's
- 37:10Speaker 2: first deputy mayor for many years. So as we keep
- 37:13Speaker 2: telling you, this could be just a repeat of Deblasio,
- 37:17Speaker 2: which wasn't great. Obviously was terrible. New York declined under Deblasio,
- 37:22Speaker 2: but we got through it. We got through eight years
- 37:23Speaker 2: at de Blasio. So he's brought in this guy full
- 37:26Speaker 2: of Hand and had him right next to him at
- 37:28Speaker 2: the interview. And I noticed tonight, fool of Hand's doing
- 37:32Speaker 2: his own interview. New York One. Nobody sees New York one.
- 37:34Speaker 2: But it's interesting that he would let ful of Hand
- 37:39Speaker 2: do all these interviews. So this guy's going to have
- 37:41Speaker 2: a lot of cloud. Now the bad news of this
- 37:43Speaker 2: fool of hand Dean full of Hand, however you say
- 37:47Speaker 2: his name, He's got a lot of clout in Albany.
- 37:50Speaker 2: Nobody better connected plugged into the legislature of the Assembly.
- 37:54Speaker 2: So if you need to get stuff passed, this is
- 37:56Speaker 2: a guy that can get stuff done up there. Means
- 38:00Speaker 2: Mom Donnie would have some influence up there with him. Now,
- 38:05Speaker 2: the other interesting thing is Mam Donnie, we actually asked
- 38:07Speaker 2: about Trump. Mam Donnie said he will reach out to Trump.
- 38:12Speaker 2: He said it's a crucial relationship. This is quite a
- 38:15Speaker 2: concession on his part. Remember before the election, I'll fight Trump,
- 38:19Speaker 2: I'll battle Trump, I would never talk to Well, now
- 38:21Speaker 2: the election's over, he says it's a crucial relationship. I
- 38:25Speaker 2: will reach out to him. So when they reports it,
- 38:29Speaker 2: well you'll talk to Trump. Well, I'll reach out to
- 38:31Speaker 2: the White House. Now what does all that mean. Well,
- 38:34Speaker 2: if he tries to talk to Trump, I don't think
- 38:36Speaker 2: Trump would talk to him. Usually the way this stuff goes,
- 38:39Speaker 2: he'll reach out to the White House and get a meeting,
- 38:43Speaker 2: but the meeting will be with someone else first, probably
- 38:45Speaker 2: Susie Wilds will meet with him chief of staff. She'll
- 38:49Speaker 2: have the meeting with him, and then they'll see how
- 38:51Speaker 2: that goes, and then that will lead to probably not
- 38:53Speaker 2: a meeting with Trump, because neither of them would want
- 38:56Speaker 2: that photograph out. But if it goes well with Susie
- 38:59Speaker 2: wild it will lead to a phone call with Trump
- 39:02Speaker 2: and they'll talk and see if they can listen. They're
- 39:05Speaker 2: not going to be friends, but they'll see if they
- 39:07Speaker 2: can come out to some kind of an arrangement, some
- 39:10Speaker 2: kind of relationship where they could at least be civil
- 39:13Speaker 2: with each other. He was asked about parades and things.
- 39:17Speaker 2: You know, he didn't show up for the Veteran's Day Parade.
- 39:20Speaker 2: Is he going to go to parades? You got to
- 39:22Speaker 2: remember he certainly you're not gonna see it at the Israeli
- 39:24Speaker 2: Day Parade. There's a lot of parades you won't see
- 39:26Speaker 2: this guy yet, And he was asked about it.
- 39:28Speaker 5: There are many parades that I would not be attending
- 39:30Speaker 5: because I'd be focusing on the work of leading the city.
- 39:33Speaker 2: Yeah, he's focused. Focused. You want to see some focus
- 39:36Speaker 2: watch this guy, But the parades are on Sunday. You
- 39:38Speaker 2: don't have to focus on Sunday. And what he's really
- 39:41Speaker 2: saying is I hate these people. I'm not going to
- 39:43Speaker 2: their parade. Hey, Mikey Cheryl who won the governor's race.
- 39:49Speaker 2: There's a lot of people analyzing how she did it.
- 39:52Speaker 2: People thought she Arelly was a great candidate. He was Okay,
- 39:55Speaker 2: he wasn't a great candidate. The truth of the matter,
- 39:57Speaker 2: she had a lot more charm than he did, despite
- 40:00Speaker 2: her lying, despite her insider trading, despite her Navy scandal,
- 40:06Speaker 2: despite her her horrible positions on things, her terrible positions,
- 40:11Speaker 2: despite her bad record. Still, you know, even when she
- 40:14Speaker 2: was lying and conning it, she still had more charm
- 40:17Speaker 2: than Shlosburg. He was kind of a charmless guy. I'm
- 40:19Speaker 2: sure he's a nice guy. He just didn't have the
- 40:22Speaker 2: personality you need. But Politico and others doing these examinations
- 40:27Speaker 2: of how she won, her incredible strategy with social media,
- 40:30Speaker 2: her staying on message, her media strategy. Now here's what's
- 40:37Speaker 2: going to happen twenty twenty eight looks at this point
- 40:41Speaker 2: like Gavin Newsom is way out in front of it
- 40:44Speaker 2: right now. He's the nominee in twenty twenty eight. Of
- 40:47Speaker 2: course a lot can happen. It's a couple of years away,
- 40:49Speaker 2: so a lot could happen. But right now it's Gavin
- 40:52Speaker 2: Newsom and Mikey Cheryl wants to be the VP candidate.
- 40:56Speaker 2: Newsom Cheryl California, New Jersey West East Coast ticket. That's
- 41:01Speaker 2: what they're looking at. Newsom way out in front. Now,
- 41:05Speaker 2: this is what they call the shadow primary. It doesn't
- 41:07Speaker 2: mean much now now you go back in a lot
- 41:10Speaker 2: of campaigns, there was one guy that was way out
- 41:12Speaker 2: in front, the obvious one, but that was so early
- 41:15Speaker 2: that by the time it got to that election year
- 41:17Speaker 2: somebody else rose up. But one thing about being the
- 41:21Speaker 2: shadow primary winner is you can raise a lot of money.
- 41:25Speaker 2: So Newsom will spend a lot of time raising money
- 41:28Speaker 2: and look for mike Y Cheryl to get involved with
- 41:31Speaker 2: Newsom somehow. She wants to be the VP candidate. Just
- 41:36Speaker 2: heard on the news Eric Adams said he will be traveling.
- 41:40Speaker 2: He's going to Israel and he wants to do more travel,
- 41:43Speaker 2: and he wants to write a book, and he wants
- 41:45Speaker 2: to do a documentary. And he said he's going to
- 41:47Speaker 2: go back to school and get his doctor a PhD.
- 41:53Speaker 2: I don't know that way he'd be a doctor. I'm
- 41:57Speaker 2: doctor eWiC. It's not going to sound good. First of all,
- 42:01Speaker 2: anytime you hear PhD, you'll lose all respect for the person.
- 42:04Speaker 2: It means they spent too many years in school. If
- 42:10Speaker 2: you said to somebody, Hey, the guy over there, he's
- 42:12Speaker 2: a PhD, do you say to your oh, I got
- 42:15Speaker 2: to talk to him? No, you run the other way.
- 42:17Speaker 2: Who wants to talk to him? But Adams will find
- 42:20Speaker 2: things to do. He's gonna do a lot of traveling.
- 42:23Speaker 2: He's very good at profiting off other countries, you know, Turkey, whatever,
- 42:27Speaker 2: So he'll be doing a lot of traveling. See what
- 42:30Speaker 2: he can pick up over there. Everybody loves Raymond. I
- 42:35Speaker 2: love that show. I still watch it every night. They
- 42:38Speaker 2: have these marathons every night. Everybody loves Raymond marathons. And
- 42:43Speaker 2: I could watch that show over and if it's absolutely timeless,
- 42:45Speaker 2: it holds up well, you know, I was trying to think,
- 42:48Speaker 2: why does this hold up so much better than other sitcoms? Well,
- 42:51Speaker 2: the guys that put it together, Ray Romano and Phil
- 42:55Speaker 2: what's his name Rosenthal and the other guy is the
- 42:57Speaker 2: one thing they say. They were very careful not to
- 43:00Speaker 2: put any technology in the show. They don't show him
- 43:04Speaker 2: on the phone. You never see him pick up his
- 43:05Speaker 2: phone once all they have to. But you generally don't
- 43:09Speaker 2: see any computers, any phones, you don't see the TV,
- 43:12Speaker 2: you don't see any of that. So and they did
- 43:14Speaker 2: that deliberately because they didn't want to look outdated. You know,
- 43:17Speaker 2: when you watch Seinfeld and he's got an answering machine
- 43:21Speaker 2: and a you know, a regular desk telephone, and you
- 43:25Speaker 2: see his computer, it's like a primitive, primitive computer. It
- 43:29Speaker 2: looks so outdated. But they were very careful to keep
- 43:33Speaker 2: it that way. So it looks absolutely timeless. You can
- 43:37Speaker 2: watch it over and over again. But they're going to
- 43:38Speaker 2: do this thirtieth anniversary. Sure, yeah, believe it or not.
- 43:41Speaker 2: It's thirty years since Everybody Loves Raymond started nineteen ninety six.
- 43:45Speaker 2: This special will be ninety minutes now. One reason they're
- 43:49Speaker 2: doing this is TV has run out of money. Primetime
- 43:52Speaker 2: TV has very few viewers. A primetime show used to
- 43:55Speaker 2: get twenty thirty million viewers. Now it's one million, two million,
- 43:59Speaker 2: So that's less revenue, that's a smaller budget. All they
- 44:02Speaker 2: can afford now are game shows and these documentaries are
- 44:05Speaker 2: cheap to do. Last night you might have seen that
- 44:07Speaker 2: Golden Girls special reunion. Well they're no longer with us,
- 44:12Speaker 2: but people talking about it. Everybody loves Raymond. Will be
- 44:15Speaker 2: a reunion. They rebuilt the or they found the original
- 44:19Speaker 2: set the living room in the house, and they're going
- 44:20Speaker 2: to all go back. The cast gets back together. Now.
- 44:23Speaker 2: The problem is the two of the most key players,
- 44:27Speaker 2: the mother and the father, are dead. They're no longer
- 44:29Speaker 2: so they're not going to be in it. But there'll
- 44:31Speaker 2: be a lot of clips. It'll be ninety minutes long.
- 44:35Speaker 2: They got to fill time. It's really cheap to do
- 44:38Speaker 2: these reunion shows. Ninety minutes will fill an hour and
- 44:41Speaker 2: a half. So they can't afford to do dramas or
- 44:43Speaker 2: sitcoms anymore. Too expensive to do. But November twenty fourth,
- 44:49Speaker 2: keep an eye out for that. Hey, you ever use
- 44:52Speaker 2: open table to make a reservation. A lot of people
- 44:55Speaker 2: use open table. You know they're spying on you. Table
- 45:00Speaker 2: keeps track of everything you do. So you make a reservation,
- 45:03Speaker 2: Open table, you go to the restaurant. You do this
- 45:04Speaker 2: all the time. Open table compiles data from the restaurants
- 45:10Speaker 2: what you ordered, how you behaved, if you gave the
- 45:14Speaker 2: restaurant any problems the staff, any problems where you rude,
- 45:18Speaker 2: where you're a good tipper, what did you spend? All
- 45:20Speaker 2: that kind of stuff goes into a big, big open
- 45:26Speaker 2: table file and then you kind of get a rating.
- 45:29Speaker 2: So when you make the reservation, the restaurant can look
- 45:32Speaker 2: you over. If you're a real problem, they can cancel
- 45:34Speaker 2: your reservation, or they can look at it. See what
- 45:38Speaker 2: kind of customer you are. Oh, he's a big drinker,
- 45:40Speaker 2: big wine drinker. Oh there's all kinds of fancy wing.
- 45:42Speaker 2: Well we'll see them next to the wine cellar. That
- 45:45Speaker 2: kind of stuff. It's kind of like Uber. You know,
- 45:48Speaker 2: you got a rating the uh you know, the driver.
- 45:52Speaker 2: Sometimes you get a you try to get an uber.
- 45:54Speaker 2: One person tries, Oh there are no cars available. It's
- 45:57Speaker 2: twenty minutes. Someone else tries one minute, they'll be right there.
- 46:02Speaker 2: It's because that person has a higher rating as a passenger.
- 46:05Speaker 2: The uber driver sees your rating. You got a five,
- 46:08Speaker 2: we'll be right there. You got a two. Let somebody
- 46:11Speaker 2: else take this one. So just remember that when you
- 46:15Speaker 2: use open table. So if you're going to go to
- 46:17Speaker 2: a restaurant, get drunk and be rude. Make the reservation
- 46:21Speaker 2: on the phone. Don't put it on an open table.
- 46:22Speaker 2: That way it won't be recorded there. So hey, we'll
- 46:25Speaker 2: take some calls in a minute. Eight hundred three to
- 46:28Speaker 2: two one zero seven ten is number. Hey, check out
- 46:31Speaker 2: my instagram if you didn't see it, the actual Johnny
- 46:34Speaker 2: Carson desk from the Tonight Show. The actual set was
- 46:38Speaker 2: at the Paley Museum, a wonderful museum you should visit.
- 46:41Speaker 2: But I went over there and sat in the Carson desk.
- 46:44Speaker 2: The actual Johnny Carson desk pictures up on Instagram. Mark
- 46:48Speaker 2: Simone NYC at Instagram. Mark Simone NYC at Instagram. Also,
- 46:54Speaker 2: I'll be on Cudlow later today between four and five
- 46:57Speaker 2: on the Fox Business Network. But we'll take some calls
- 46:59Speaker 2: now next eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 47:04Speaker 1: Now more, Mark Simone on seventen woo.
- 47:10Speaker 2: Well, let's take some colls. Let's go to Oh, Richie Gold,
- 47:14Speaker 2: the great comedian, then Connecticut. Richie Gold, How are you good?
- 47:19Speaker 4: Mark?
- 47:19Speaker 14: How are you advised to taking my call? Great show
- 47:22Speaker 14: as usual? As listened to Alan Zuide, great comedy writer.
- 47:26Speaker 14: I remember him going back years when he used to
- 47:29Speaker 14: work for Saturday Night lives.
- 47:30Speaker 2: Now he's writing a music or Broadway play about Rodney Dainsfield.
- 47:34Speaker 2: You must have worked with Rodney.
- 47:36Speaker 14: Yeah, let me tell you something cozily, how thinking minds,
- 47:40Speaker 14: comic minds parallel total.
- 47:42Speaker 2: You know Tony Tony Bavakua, who is the owner of Dangerfields,
- 47:46Speaker 2: who's uh out there in Long Island, lives near Bill O'Reilly.
- 47:50Speaker 2: Actually Tony Bovaqua, great guy.
- 47:52Speaker 14: Very true. So listen to this. Tony and I have
- 47:55Speaker 14: been working on a movie script talking about writing about
- 48:00Speaker 14: any Danger Fields and the birth of the Dangerfield Club.
- 48:03Speaker 14: And it has all the elements of of what happened
- 48:06Speaker 14: to the club that people that try to influence it
- 48:08Speaker 14: one way the others to talk about Rodney's history and Tony,
- 48:12Speaker 14: how they got together working the you know the small rooms. Yeah,
- 48:15Speaker 14: there's at the downstairs blah blah blah. So it just
- 48:17Speaker 14: shows you out was mister alan Zabel, and I said,
- 48:22Speaker 14: Tony and I are writing a movie about this. He's
- 48:23Speaker 14: doing a Broadway play and Tony and I are writing
- 48:26Speaker 14: a movie about Rodney and Tony how they came together
- 48:29Speaker 14: and developed this idea for danger seems.
- 48:32Speaker 2: Yeah, Tony was a bass player and they played together
- 48:34Speaker 2: Rodney and him in the living room. And when Rodney
- 48:37Speaker 2: opened the club, he got Tony to be the the
- 48:39Speaker 2: guy run the club, and he turned out to be
- 48:40Speaker 2: brilliant at running a club, a comedy club.
- 48:43Speaker 14: Yeah, and you used to hang out there. I remember you, Rodney.
- 48:47Speaker 14: Everybody used to hang out at that club. It was
- 48:49Speaker 14: the in place to be and opened the nineteen sixty
- 48:52Speaker 14: nine and it ran for fifteen years straight. So you
- 48:55Speaker 14: were there during the hey day. I remember Mark.
- 48:57Speaker 2: Well, yeah, keeping well, keep in touch with me, or
- 49:01Speaker 2: I'll put you together with Zwaibelle. Maybe you guys can
- 49:03Speaker 2: work together or something like that.
- 49:05Speaker 14: You never know because told the ass and knows the
- 49:08Speaker 14: Factibelle used to write for rob There's a whole views.
- 49:13Speaker 2: All right, well we'll we'll work out a meeting role.
- 49:16Speaker 2: Everybody get involved in Richie, thanks for calling. Let's go
- 49:19Speaker 2: to uh also Connecticut, Gideon and Greenwich. Is this Gideon Fountain?
- 49:24Speaker 4: Yes?
- 49:25Speaker 2: I know, Yes, you do.
- 49:28Speaker 10: In fact, I saw I just ran into John Katsimatidi.
- 49:31Speaker 10: I have the Pierre Hotel for that Hudson Institute yearly
- 49:36Speaker 10: event with Rupert Murdoch.
- 49:38Speaker 5: Was there.
- 49:39Speaker 10: I said that kats Matidis, you should acquire Mark Simone.
- 49:43Speaker 10: But of course you have to stay at w R.
- 49:45Speaker 2: This is iHeart. This is like being in the New
- 49:47Speaker 2: York Yankees. This is the biggest best radio company in
- 49:50Speaker 2: the world. Don't you Don't you have the radio station
- 49:54Speaker 2: in Greenwich?
- 49:56Speaker 4: I do.
- 49:56Speaker 10: In fact, I even said to Thanks Mark, I said
- 49:59Speaker 10: to John, you want to buy a radio station. He
- 50:01Speaker 10: wanted to know how many watts?
- 50:02Speaker 14: And you know that kind of thing. So maybe he's interested.
- 50:05Speaker 2: That's a good station. W g H, very good station.
- 50:07Speaker 2: What's the guy there, Bob.
- 50:08Speaker 10: We've had you, We've had you there, I've been I guess.
- 50:11Speaker 2: Who's that nice guy that works there? Bob Small?
- 50:13Speaker 10: Bob Small. October twelfth is Bob Small Day in Greenwich
- 50:18Speaker 10: every year.
- 50:19Speaker 2: All right, well, thanks for calling great stuff. Let's go
- 50:22Speaker 2: to uh, let's go to Aaron in Indianapolis, erin how
- 50:26Speaker 2: you doing.
- 50:28Speaker 13: Good morning, Mark.
- 50:29Speaker 5: Speaking of Rodney Dangerfield, I have the pleasure of seeing
- 50:33Speaker 5: him do a couple of shows in Indianapolis back in
- 50:36Speaker 5: this day, and oh those were just awesome shows.
- 50:39Speaker 2: And you didn't have to wander backstage, did you no?
- 50:43Speaker 5: Oh?
- 50:44Speaker 2: Good good, Because when Rodney was on the road, things
- 50:46Speaker 2: were going on back there. You wouldn't want to know about.
- 50:50Speaker 2: Rodney had quite a private life going on there.
- 50:53Speaker 5: That's right, that's right.
- 50:57Speaker 2: I'm editing myself. I'm well one. We'll tell stories about Rodney,
- 51:01Speaker 2: but uh not not right now. Let's go to uh
- 51:05Speaker 2: Vincent and Brooklyn Vincent, how you doing.
- 51:07Speaker 4: Good morning, Mack balk. You're cracking me up as usual.
- 51:11Speaker 2: I'll tell you what Rodney I don't want to. He
- 51:13Speaker 2: was playing a big place in Massachusetts and he told
- 51:15Speaker 2: the agent, I need a bed in the dressing room.
- 51:18Speaker 2: And guy, my god, the guy arrange for a bed.
- 51:21Speaker 2: But the agent called him. He said, listen, there's a
- 51:23Speaker 2: problem that it's right next to the kitchen. It's very noisy.
- 51:26Speaker 2: I don't know if you're gonna be able to sleep
- 51:27Speaker 2: things sleep sleep.
- 51:31Speaker 4: He's gonna do. Ted Kennedy will added, Chris Dodd. You
- 51:36Speaker 4: know what that means? Yes, yes, okay, Mack. Last week
- 51:39Speaker 4: a lot of these crazy Democrats were making the New
- 51:42Speaker 4: Jersey election and Virginia election a rebuttal of Trump's policies.
- 51:50Speaker 4: It was never such thing. Uh mclaroney, Jack Chatterrelly, could
- 51:55Speaker 4: O'Ryan a much better campaign? He was trying to stick
- 51:59Speaker 4: too many points into like fifteen seconds. None of these candidates,
- 52:05Speaker 4: even in New York, really explain why things are very high,
- 52:13Speaker 4: why rent is high, why things are seemingly unaffordable, and
- 52:18Speaker 4: win some seas. Although a good candidate, she was not
- 52:22Speaker 4: a Glen Youngkin. When Glen Youngkin would go on stage,
- 52:26Speaker 4: literally he reminded me in many ways like Johnny Cossady,
- 52:30Speaker 4: he would own the stage. And that's probably because the
- 52:34Speaker 4: guy is a businessman. He's used to being around people,
- 52:40Speaker 4: high powered people selling his products and everything. Mark, yesterday
- 52:45Speaker 4: we spoke about Curtis saying he's gonna stay in the fight.
- 52:49Speaker 4: He's gonna he's in it to win it. Mark, Curtis
- 52:53Speaker 4: has to say that if Curtis doesn't stay in the
- 52:56Speaker 4: fight with the Guardian Angels, he will be irrelevant. He's
- 53:02Speaker 4: almost irrelevant.
- 53:05Speaker 2: Curtis is never irrelevant. Curtis has been a fixture for
- 53:08Speaker 2: thirty years.
- 53:09Speaker 4: No, I'm not. I don't mean in the fact that
- 53:11Speaker 4: people are gonna forget who he is. But right now
- 53:16Speaker 4: that's the only thing he's got.
- 53:18Speaker 2: You know, I should say it, but I hate to said,
- 53:20Speaker 2: but when a guy like Mamdani comes into office, it's
- 53:22Speaker 2: good for Curtis because more crime, he can be more
- 53:25Speaker 2: of a no, it's good for us. It's like another pandemic.
- 53:28Speaker 2: You know, we got our highest ratings. When pandemic people
- 53:31Speaker 2: are scared, they turn to the radio for exactly.
- 53:33Speaker 4: He could be like, he could be like a pitbull.
- 53:36Speaker 4: He could all be nipping at his ankles all the time.
- 53:39Speaker 4: And that's where it's really good. But you know, the
- 53:43Speaker 4: first time got a few seconds right. The first time
- 53:47Speaker 4: the Democrats won Virginia, they would claim that Virginia is
- 53:52Speaker 4: the southernmost northern state and that when a Republican winner,
- 53:57Speaker 4: they would say it's the southernmost.
- 54:01Speaker 2: That's a good point, all right, Vincent, thanks for calling,
- 54:03Speaker 2: great call. We got to take a break for the news,
- 54:05Speaker 2: get caught up on everything, and then when we come
- 54:07Speaker 2: back and Culter will be with us next on seven
- 54:10Speaker 2: to ten.
- 54:10Speaker 4: W R.
- 54:13Speaker 19: Mark Simone.
- 54:16Speaker 4: R Well and.
- 54:19Speaker 2: Culture, the best selling author the great Columnists. Make sure
- 54:22Speaker 2: you follow her on Twitter, Hey, even better substack where
- 54:25Speaker 2: you can see she's got interviews and podcasts and all
- 54:28Speaker 2: sorts of stuff and culture dot substack dot com. And Culter, how.
- 54:34Speaker 19: You doing fantastic? How are you Mark Simone?
- 54:37Speaker 2: I'm good, I'm good. Hey, let me see this. You know,
- 54:42Speaker 2: you see Berkeley, this is a terrible college. There's a
- 54:45Speaker 2: turning point event there. Yesterday Antifa gets violent, goes crazy.
- 54:49Speaker 2: University didn't have enough protection. Uh, everybody says when it's
- 54:53Speaker 2: a liberal speaker, to make sure there's plenty of security.
- 54:57Speaker 2: But not for this one. Justice Department now taking a
- 54:59Speaker 2: look at going after them. You speak at all these colleges,
- 55:03Speaker 2: what is wrong with them?
- 55:05Speaker 19: Well, you remember, they should have sent the nationally they
- 55:08Speaker 19: Trump should have sent the National Guard when Berkeley shut
- 55:13Speaker 19: down my speech, and I think I think it was
- 55:15Speaker 19: twenty seventeen. I went back the next year, but I
- 55:19Speaker 19: had the Proud Boys protecting me. That was November twenty nineteen,
- 55:24Speaker 19: and several thousand Antifa showed up. Yeah, don't expect local
- 55:32Speaker 19: law enforcement. I've directed not to protect or the campus
- 55:36Speaker 19: security to protect you. Trump should have done this long ago.
- 55:39Speaker 19: We should have done it when it started. Listened to
- 55:41Speaker 19: Senator Tom Cotton, this is these these are state universities.
- 55:47Speaker 19: That's why we have civil rights laws because states, certain
- 55:52Speaker 19: states back then, the Democrat states of the Old Confederacy,
- 55:57Speaker 19: weren't enforcing the rights of black Americans. That's why we
- 56:02Speaker 19: have the ability of the federal government. Well, even from
- 56:05Speaker 19: the beginning of our country, the very reason we have
- 56:08Speaker 19: a constitution and a strong president was to put down
- 56:12Speaker 19: mob actions, criminal behavior in our country. Surprisingly enough, the
- 56:17Speaker 19: founding fathers were not thinking about, you know, what can
- 56:21Speaker 19: we do to help Syria or Ukraine? Was to protect
- 56:25Speaker 19: our country. And yeah, drump should have been doing this
- 56:28Speaker 19: from the beginning, and it wouldn't keep happening. I'm glad
- 56:30Speaker 19: he's sending in National Guard to protect ICE agents. But
- 56:34Speaker 19: when this happens on college campuses, particularly college campuses that
- 56:38Speaker 19: are state institutions, though according to Supreme Court rulings, even
- 56:43Speaker 19: private colleges have to have to but they well, all
- 56:47Speaker 19: everybody has to obey federal law, but federal troops could
- 56:51Speaker 19: go in and enforce things against private university because of
- 56:54Speaker 19: all the money they've taken student aid and research money.
- 56:57Speaker 2: Well, the good news is Antifa has now been a
- 57:00Speaker 2: actually declared a terrorist group. This Department of Justice letters
- 57:03Speaker 2: are going after UC Berkeley for allowing terrorism on the campus.
- 57:07Speaker 2: And this will allow the Department Justice to really step
- 57:11Speaker 2: in and do something.
- 57:12Speaker 19: But well, they ought to. This is something I mean,
- 57:16Speaker 19: this is why a lot of people like me support
- 57:20Speaker 19: this idea of America first. We're constantly solving the rest
- 57:25Speaker 19: of the world's problems. We're constantly getting Americans and the
- 57:28Speaker 19: news media, oh, focus on what's going on in Europe now,
- 57:32Speaker 19: and what's going on in the Middle East and what's
- 57:34Speaker 19: going on in the Balkans. Can we please pay attention
- 57:37Speaker 19: to what's going on to Americans because our country is
- 57:40Speaker 19: in trouble and this is what we expected Trump to do.
- 57:43Speaker 19: Put our interests first.
- 57:45Speaker 2: Yes, the shutdown Democrats what a victory? Huh? Could you
- 57:49Speaker 2: tell me what they achieved with the shutdown?
- 57:52Speaker 19: Yet it did not work well and the argument they're
- 57:55Speaker 19: making and Republicans are going to have to learn to
- 57:59Speaker 19: navigate this. Although sorry, let's pause for a moment to
- 58:02Speaker 19: celebrate what knuckleheads the Democrats look like. No one has
- 58:06Speaker 19: ever want to shut down, so I don't know why
- 58:09Speaker 19: they would think they could win this one. But they're thinking, oh,
- 58:13Speaker 19: because they want to keep subsidizing Americans healthcare. I've always
- 58:18Speaker 19: thought Republicans are too afraid of this issue. Their voters
- 58:23Speaker 19: are not made up of welfare recipients. There may be
- 58:27Speaker 19: some Trump voters who have had your relive in public
- 58:29Speaker 19: assistance for a time or two. But this permanent underclass,
- 58:35Speaker 19: just generation after generation after generation living on welfare, having
- 58:39Speaker 19: other Americans pay for them, pay for their food, pay
- 58:43Speaker 19: for their health care. I think senators like Josh Holly
- 58:47Speaker 19: are making a big mistake acting like, oh yeah, this
- 58:50Speaker 19: is the Trump base. No, you're insulting the Trump base.
- 58:53Speaker 19: It isn't true. And I think most Americans are sick
- 58:57Speaker 19: of paying for other people's health care food. The Snap
- 59:01Speaker 19: benefits issue, man, Thank god for Twitter. It has been
- 59:06Speaker 19: all over Twitter showing you know, obviously quite able bodied
- 59:10Speaker 19: people and a lot of the men threatening to go
- 59:13Speaker 19: loose and rob stores if they don't get their Snap
- 59:16Speaker 19: benefits anymore. I'm thinking, if they have that much, I
- 59:19Speaker 19: mean you can see them time. They have enough, plenty
- 59:21Speaker 19: of energy. It look like strong young men. Surely they
- 59:24Speaker 19: could get a job. Ditto for the women. If anything
- 59:28Speaker 19: could stand to lose a few pounds and healthcare. Nobody
- 59:33Speaker 19: cared about me losing my healthcare under Obamacare. One thing
- 59:37Speaker 19: you will notice is a difference between Republicans and Democrats.
- 59:40Speaker 19: When Republicans save people, solve an issue, and do solve
- 59:44Speaker 19: an issue, that issue goes away forever. They actually do
- 59:48Speaker 19: solve it. For example, Ronald Reagan ending the Cold War,
- 59:52Speaker 19: defeating the Soviet Union, puff gone, Soviet Union is no more.
- 59:56Speaker 19: Rudy Giuliani solving crime not only in New York City
- 1:00:00Speaker 19: but basically across America. Well, then Republicans lose that as
- 1:00:03Speaker 19: an issue to run on. We start running on it again. Now,
- 1:00:07Speaker 19: cut taxes. Reagan did it. They never went back up
- 1:00:10Speaker 19: to close to the level they were before he came in.
- 1:00:13Speaker 19: When Democrats solve a problem like healthcare or poor people,
- 1:00:19Speaker 19: they just make the problem so much bigger and it
- 1:00:22Speaker 19: just it was always amazing to me watching the Democratic primaries,
- 1:00:26Speaker 19: you know, every four years since Obama, and their big
- 1:00:29Speaker 19: subject is Americans can't get health care. It's a disaster. Yeah, okay,
- 1:00:34Speaker 19: you guys did Obamacare would fix this, and you made
- 1:00:37Speaker 19: it worse. So we can't get back to them. That's
- 1:00:40Speaker 19: the one premise we need to start with. And then
- 1:00:43Speaker 19: Republicans have to figure out how to do this in
- 1:00:45Speaker 19: a fair way and stop giving better health care to
- 1:00:47Speaker 19: illegal aliens and welfare recipients than hardworking Americans.
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: They can't claim Obamacare's working anymore, because if it was,
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: it wouldn't be an issue right now. We wouldn't have
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: better shutdown over it. We wouldn't be talking about it
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: was working so.
- 1:01:01Speaker 19: Right, everyone just pretends that they for they don't remember Obamacare.
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: Happy do we lose her? Oh there you are? You're
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: still there?
- 1:01:11Speaker 12: Right?
- 1:01:12Speaker 19: Yeah, like something happened, we lost.
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: You for a second. Hey we only got a minute left.
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: Friday's the final day of MSNBC. It then becomes it
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: then becomes ms now from a tiny studio that got
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: kicked out of them? What do you think will they survive?
- 1:01:28Speaker 19: They're kidding, I can't see a bit repetitive. I'm going
- 1:01:32Speaker 19: to mention that to you, Mark, it's a little tough
- 1:01:35Speaker 19: even for those of us who enjoy laughing at liberals.
- 1:01:39Speaker 19: I don't think ms I was kind of noticing recently,
- 1:01:42Speaker 19: like with a shutdown, MSNBC is not good for the Democrats.
- 1:01:46Speaker 19: We really should hope that it continues. They they represent
- 1:01:49Speaker 19: the far progressive left. They are you know, tickled pink
- 1:01:53Speaker 19: over Zorhan Mom, Donny. I think they are taking the
- 1:01:57Speaker 19: Democratic Party in a direction that is not good for
- 1:02:01Speaker 19: the Democrats, but is good for Republicans. So maybe we
- 1:02:05Speaker 19: should try to get MSNBC a little more a little
- 1:02:08Speaker 19: more visibility.
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: Oh very good, Yeah, very good insight into that. Well,
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: everybody check out and Culture on Twitter. Make sure you
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: follow on Twitter. But even better at substacks. She's got
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: columns and videos and interviews and podcasts and all sorts
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: of stuff. Go to andculter dot substack dot com and
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: culture dot substack dot com and Culter. Thanks for being
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: with us.
- 1:02:30Speaker 19: Good to talk to you, Marx Simone, Bye bye.
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: I take care. Hey, don't forget Jimmy Falos now with
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: us every night nine to midnight. Very good show, funny interesting,
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: every night nine to midnight. Right here on seven to ten.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: WOR give wr a bre said on the iHeartRadio app
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: to hear Mark Simone and all the WOR.
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: Hosts in an instead.
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: Now back to the Marximo Show on WOR.
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: Well the House. You would vote later today on the shutdown.
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: That could be the end of it by tonight, by
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: six seven o'clock tonight, that may have the vote. And
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: you know the problem is getting everybody there. They have
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: to vote in person, which means they all are somewhere else.
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: They all have to fly back to DC. And the
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: shutdown caused air traffic delays. So because of their own shutdown.
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: It's tough for them to get there to end the
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: shutdown with the vote, but they should get it done
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: tonight and then well that won't be the end of it.
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: They'll have to do this again in January. But I
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: think Democrats will learn their lesson not to go through
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: this again. Hey, we're out of time. I'll be on
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: Cudlow this afternoon between four and five, somewhere in the
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: middle of the show there. Also check out my instagram
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: if you want to see Johnny Carson's actual desk, it
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: was here in New York, the chair, the couch from
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: the set. Take a look at my instagram, Mark Simone
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: NYC at Instagram. Make sure you follow me on Twitter
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: and all of that stuff. Don't go away. Buck and

- 1:04:13Speaker 2: But I'll be back tomorrow at ten and I'll talk
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: to you then right here on seven ten wo
