- 0:08Speaker 1: Scared. Bye. Sure, it's nice and love and no and
- 0:15Speaker 1: Lemon No. Welcome to the Naughty but Nic Show. I'm
- 0:17Speaker 1: your host, rom Shoes. It is Tuesday. I'm still in Britain.
- 0:21Speaker 1: Yesterday my niece Paris got married to Jack. She is
- 0:25Speaker 1: now Paris Ramsey. Congratulations, it was a fantastic day. Today
- 0:31Speaker 1: we're having a quiet day. Bruce and I are still
- 0:34Speaker 1: in the UK. We're going to be here through Christmas,
- 0:37Speaker 1: and so we have a lot of gossip to get to.
- 0:39Speaker 1: So let's jump right in. What time is it, my friends?
- 0:42Speaker 1: It is tea time. Okay, let's jump into the show.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Big news at the top of the show. So Nick
- 0:48Speaker 1: Reiner once faked a craziness a crazy episode to score drugs.
- 0:56Speaker 1: So now more revelations are coming out about Nick. There
- 1:00Speaker 1: are claims that he wanted to act crazy long before
- 1:06Speaker 1: he was accused of murdering his parents, and he did
- 1:10Speaker 1: this to score drugs. So, years before Rob and Michelle
- 1:15Speaker 1: were brutally found murdered in their Brentwood home, the troubled
- 1:20Speaker 1: thirty two year old openly admitted that he staged extreme
- 1:25Speaker 1: behavior to obtain medication. This is the thing with Nick.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Nick was the child of a very big celebrity dad,
- 1:36Speaker 1: celebrity grandfather. And so he was out there doing a
- 1:40Speaker 1: lot of publicity, of press. He was invited on a
- 1:43Speaker 1: ton of podcasts. He had a famous dad. I get it.
- 1:46Speaker 1: It's like having Madonna's daughter on your podcast. Who's going
- 1:49Speaker 1: to say no to that? But now these podcasts which
- 1:52Speaker 1: live on forever, be careful what you say. Note to self,
- 1:55Speaker 1: they do live forever. They're coming back up. And so
- 1:59Speaker 1: in twenty fifteen, in a podcast called Dopey, Nick laughed
- 2:05Speaker 1: that he recalled smashing a rehab facility window with a
- 2:11Speaker 1: rock after doctors refused to give him drugs, insisting they
- 2:17Speaker 1: thought that his symptoms were an act. He said the
- 2:21Speaker 1: following quote, I wanted to prove I was crazy, adding
- 2:24Speaker 1: that the staff quickly gave him the medication, the drugs
- 2:29Speaker 1: that he wanted. The disturbing confession is now resurfacing as
- 2:34Speaker 1: Nick sits alone confined in LA's Twin Towers jails, charged
- 2:40Speaker 1: with two counts of first degree murder, and authorities say
- 2:45Speaker 1: that rab who was seventy eight and Michelle seventy, died
- 2:49Speaker 1: from multiple sharp force injuries. That's the official cause of death.
- 2:55Speaker 1: A medical way of saying that their throats were slit.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Really gruesome, really really gruesome. Nick reportedly was diagnosed with
- 3:05Speaker 1: schizophrenia and is expected to plead not guilty by reasons
- 3:10Speaker 1: of insanity. So now these podcasts they're coming up, people
- 3:15Speaker 1: are going through them, The Internet is looking at them,
- 3:19Speaker 1: pulling out quotes, pulling out really detailed information from Nick himself.
- 3:25Speaker 1: This is not secondhand knowledge. This is himself on podcasts,
- 3:31Speaker 1: on radio shows saying stuff. He talks often about depression,
- 3:35Speaker 1: He talked often about his substance abuse. Now he's on tape,
- 3:39Speaker 1: He's on a podcast admitting that sometimes he pretended to
- 3:43Speaker 1: be crazy to get medication. We're going to find out
- 3:49Speaker 1: an awful lot about Nick. We also found out that
- 3:53Speaker 1: Michael Douglas, who has serious this situation, Douglas's son has
- 3:57Speaker 1: a long history of substance abuse mental health issues. And
- 4:01Speaker 1: so Rob Ryder confiding in Michael Douglas his friend and said,
- 4:04Speaker 1: I know what you're going through. My son is in
- 4:06Speaker 1: the same place. So they really had each other to
- 4:09Speaker 1: talk about this awful, awful effect what was going on
- 4:12Speaker 1: in their families. So more information is coming out on this.
- 4:16Speaker 1: This story is going to be big in the trials
- 4:18Speaker 1: going to start. The family is in a very difficult
- 4:21Speaker 1: position here. He allegedly butchered their parents, his parents, and
- 4:25Speaker 1: now they're somewhat standing by their brother, at least financially
- 4:28Speaker 1: they are. And Nick has no money to pay for attorneys,
- 4:31Speaker 1: certainly not an attorney that is charging two thousand dollars
- 4:35Speaker 1: an hour. So that's coming really from the mom and dad,
- 4:39Speaker 1: from the family. And so this story, it's going to
- 4:41Speaker 1: be around for a while. We're going to find out
- 4:45Speaker 1: a lot more information, but I don't think. I don't
- 4:49Speaker 1: think anything we find out is going to get past
- 4:52Speaker 1: the fact or, at least at the moment, the allegation
- 4:56Speaker 1: that Nick slaughtered his parents in their bed. Once again,
- 5:01Speaker 1: no pole question today. We don't do pole questions when
- 5:03Speaker 1: the subject is so difficult. Okay, moving along, Carrion Meghan
- 5:08Speaker 1: have slashed their charity to just two people to save money.
- 5:12Speaker 1: So Prince Harry and Meghan markles once Ballyhood Charity. I
- 5:16Speaker 1: love that word. Ballyhood's charity is hanging by a thread,
- 5:21Speaker 1: with just two employees left as the couple scramble to
- 5:25Speaker 1: save money. Archi Well has quietly downside ahead of its
- 5:31Speaker 1: flashy rebrand so the rebranding Archiwell into arch Well Philanthropists,
- 5:37Speaker 1: so they want that in the title. Insiders tell me
- 5:40Speaker 1: it's all smoke and mirrors. There's only three staffers there
- 5:44Speaker 1: and about sixty percent of the workforce has been let go,
- 5:49Speaker 1: leaving only exclusive director James Holt. James has been with
- 5:53Speaker 1: them a while and the VP are Philanthropia SHAWNA. Neppe.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Sources say quote Harry and Meghan have been forward to
- 6:02Speaker 1: cut the staff as a cost cutting measure. The Insider
- 6:07Speaker 1: adds that serious talks were held about shutting down the
- 6:11Speaker 1: charity altogether, shutting it down and maybe starting a new one.
- 6:17Speaker 1: The financial filings paint a really grim picture. Yesterday we
- 6:21Speaker 1: talked about this. We knew a lot of people had
- 6:23Speaker 1: been laid off. I did not know the charity was
- 6:25Speaker 1: just now to three people. Now we do so. Expenses
- 6:29Speaker 1: for the charity have jumped to five point one million
- 6:32Speaker 1: in twenty twenty four. New court filings point this ads
- 6:36Speaker 1: while Dynasis donations plummeted from five point three million just
- 6:42Speaker 1: to two million, So it's costing them five million they're
- 6:46Speaker 1: bringing in two million. So this is a charity that
- 6:49Speaker 1: is potentially losing three million a year with grants still
- 6:54Speaker 1: going out, Insiders asked the question, how much longer can
- 6:58Speaker 1: it actually survive? Let me tell you aren't in need business,
- 7:01Speaker 1: whether it be a charity or a profit business. If
- 7:04Speaker 1: you're bringing in two million and that is costing you
- 7:08Speaker 1: five million, it's over. There's no money left to give
- 7:12Speaker 1: auds as grants, a certain nations as gifts. In fact,
- 7:16Speaker 1: you're going to actually take a loan soon to cover
- 7:18Speaker 1: your cost. They've got to get these costs down. I
- 7:21Speaker 1: do not understand why a company, a charity with only
- 7:25Speaker 1: two or three people have expensives a five million. Now
- 7:29Speaker 1: that five million, i'm told is so high because that
- 7:33Speaker 1: pays for their trips. They're no longer official royal trips,
- 7:36Speaker 1: and so the royal family does not pay for that.
- 7:38Speaker 1: But when Meghan and Harry travel and they do a
- 7:41Speaker 1: lot to promote the charity, to promote themselves, it's really expensive.
- 7:45Speaker 1: We know in New York they stay in a five
- 7:47Speaker 1: star hotel. We know their security is massive, they have
- 7:50Speaker 1: a massive security detail. We know that they eat in
- 7:54Speaker 1: the finest restaurants. Meghan's wardrobe budget alone is tens of thousands,
- 8:00Speaker 1: and so it's very expensive to put on a production
- 8:03Speaker 1: to put on a show as these two like to
- 8:05Speaker 1: be presented. They're not flying Jet Blue like you or me.
- 8:09Speaker 1: They're not sleeping at their mom's house, or they are
- 8:11Speaker 1: going to admit in Britain. We are stay in a
- 8:13Speaker 1: very nice hotel in Birmingham. But nevertheless, I'm not sure
- 8:16Speaker 1: Megan and Harry would stay here. Maybe they would, but
- 8:18Speaker 1: they'd be up in the presidential suite. It's very very
- 8:22Speaker 1: expensive to be the Harry and Meghan that they want
- 8:24Speaker 1: to be. That leaves very little money for charity. You
- 8:28Speaker 1: have to be careful, don't you. Whenever I donate to
- 8:30Speaker 1: a charity, I always like to know that most of
- 8:34Speaker 1: my money, ninety percent of my money is going to
- 8:36Speaker 1: actual people in need, and not just to pay the fancy,
- 8:40Speaker 1: fancy bills of all the executives that are earning a
- 8:44Speaker 1: million dollars running the charity. I'm not giving my money
- 8:49Speaker 1: for you to pay your executives. All this money, I
- 8:52Speaker 1: want it to go to people in need. Harry and
- 8:55Speaker 1: Meghan's charity don't have any money left. This really could
- 8:59Speaker 1: end now this if this charity goes up, if it ends,
- 9:04Speaker 1: if it files for bankruptcy. Just another major major mistake.
- 9:09Speaker 1: I think when Harry was part of the royal family,
- 9:12Speaker 1: there's an infrastructure, there is a set of guard rails
- 9:17Speaker 1: that keep him safe, and he did not realize that
- 9:21Speaker 1: that existed. He thought it all just happened organically. And
- 9:24Speaker 1: when it's gone, when those guard rails, when that expertise disappears,
- 9:29Speaker 1: you realize how valuable it was. He does not have
- 9:32Speaker 1: those advisers, he does not have those financial wizards around
- 9:35Speaker 1: him anymore. Meghan and Harry are doing this by themselves,
- 9:37Speaker 1: which is very admirable, but clearly not working at all. Okay,
- 9:44Speaker 1: moving along, Amy Schumer emits that she hit rock bottom
- 9:47Speaker 1: of just splitting up with her husband, Chris Fisher. Amy
- 9:51Speaker 1: opened up about her darkest moments following her split from
- 9:55Speaker 1: her husband, just days after confirming that their seven year
- 9:59Speaker 1: marriage had ended. She now confesses that she hit rock bottom.
- 10:04Speaker 1: While reflecting on a Honaker celebration with a friend of hers,
- 10:08Speaker 1: she said, quote, when things are the absolute worse is
- 10:13Speaker 1: when my family is the funniest. She added that this
- 10:17Speaker 1: is a Jewish characteristic finding humor in pain. Joan Rivers,
- 10:22Speaker 1: my old friend Joan Rivers. May she wrestl in peace?
- 10:25Speaker 1: She used to tell that to me too. She said,
- 10:27Speaker 1: I've never met a happy comedian all all the comedians
- 10:31Speaker 1: are so tortured, and that's where their humor comes from.
- 10:34Speaker 1: Now they do share, They do share a six year
- 10:37Speaker 1: old son, and they are co parenting together. The raw confession,
- 10:42Speaker 1: it's very, very detailed, and Insiders insists this separation was
- 10:46Speaker 1: a long time coming. I broke the news that they
- 10:49Speaker 1: were no longer a couple months ago. I'm told this
- 10:51Speaker 1: has been this has been over for months. It's not recent.
- 10:54Speaker 1: They both had to sit down and think about it.
- 10:56Speaker 1: And that makes a lot of sense. If you have
- 10:57Speaker 1: a six year old son, you're not gonna just up
- 11:00Speaker 1: into this. It's amicable, they're respectful. They're still living together
- 11:04Speaker 1: at least part time, raising their son together, trying to
- 11:06Speaker 1: figure out what to do next. But Amy is saying
- 11:10Speaker 1: that she did hit rock bottom. Is so interesting that
- 11:12Speaker 1: for a long time Amy would not comment on this.
- 11:15Speaker 1: We knew they were over about a month ago, maybe
- 11:17Speaker 1: even maybe even longer, but we knew it was they
- 11:20Speaker 1: were over. Amy would not comment Now that she is
- 11:23Speaker 1: announced that they're over now suddenly within wak a few
- 11:26Speaker 1: days now. Again, in all the details, it does make
- 11:29Speaker 1: me sort of like a bit surprised, a bit bit
- 11:32Speaker 1: diddy when celebrities who are private private, I respect my privacy.
- 11:36Speaker 1: And then now that the cat's out of the bag,
- 11:38Speaker 1: they'll tell you everything. Expect Amy to reveal a lot
- 11:42Speaker 1: lot more information about this. I think too. It will
- 11:45Speaker 1: probably pop up in her act when she does stand up.
- 11:47Speaker 1: I'm sure she'll talk about this. Now. They mine the celebrities,
- 11:51Speaker 1: and particularly comedians, mind the pain in their life for
- 11:54Speaker 1: for humor. I think we're going to hear a lot more, okay,
- 11:58Speaker 1: Jlo and then reunit for the holiday shopping together with
- 12:02Speaker 1: his son, so Jlo and Ben approving that they can
- 12:05Speaker 1: play nice as exes. In fact, I think they're better
- 12:07Speaker 1: off as exes as friends than they were as a
- 12:10Speaker 1: married couple. When they were married, they never went shopping together.
- 12:12Speaker 1: They never ever were out together smiling. Now, the former
- 12:15Speaker 1: Flames was spotted busy shopping and having lunch with his
- 12:19Speaker 1: thirteen year old son Samuel in a fancy country market
- 12:25Speaker 1: in Los Angeles. The photographs show Ben arriving with Samuel
- 12:29Speaker 1: at the farm shop, while Jlo turned up separately, and
- 12:32Speaker 1: then the three of them browsed upscale boutique, So this
- 12:36Speaker 1: clearly was not shopping for Samuel at thirteen. I don't
- 12:39Speaker 1: think he wants a new antique chest of drawers, but
- 12:42Speaker 1: maybe Jelo does. Jennifer turned heads looking amazing. He looked
- 12:46Speaker 1: great too, and they seemed really really happy as Samuel,
- 12:50Speaker 1: who Ben shares with his ex wife, Jennifer Gardner, tagged along.
- 12:54Speaker 1: They had lunch, the exes departed separately. They have friend
- 12:58Speaker 1: friendly boundaries here. They're not rekindling any romance. I had
- 13:02Speaker 1: to ask around and saying, are they still getting together again?
- 13:05Speaker 1: Are we going to see Ben and Jennifer Bennifer Part three?
- 13:08Speaker 1: This is absolutely not not happening. However, they are friends,
- 13:13Speaker 1: and Jennifer got to really fall in love with his
- 13:16Speaker 1: children when they were together. They spent an enormous amount
- 13:19Speaker 1: of time trying to merge these two different families, trying
- 13:22Speaker 1: to have a blended and modern family, and they are
- 13:24Speaker 1: so successful in it. Jennifer misses Ben's kids more than
- 13:28Speaker 1: she misses Ben, and so to spend some time together.
- 13:31Speaker 1: I think it's nice. I think this is really sweet.
- 13:34Speaker 1: It's interesting that Jennifer's kids, her twins, do not appear
- 13:38Speaker 1: to be is into this as Ben's kids and then
- 13:41Speaker 1: Ben's eldest has not really been around Jennifer. It's complicated,
- 13:44Speaker 1: isn't it for the kids. But I think this is
- 13:46Speaker 1: nice that they can get along. And remember too, they're
- 13:48Speaker 1: still trying to sell that sixty million dollar house. They
- 13:53Speaker 1: had a house together with sixty million dollars, and so
- 13:59Speaker 1: they should keep talking until at least that is sold. Okay, quickly,
- 14:02Speaker 1: before we get a break, some personal news here, some sadness.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Barry Manilow eighty two has revealed that he has lung
- 14:09Speaker 1: cancer diagnosis. Barry has revealed that he's been battling lung cancer,
- 14:14Speaker 1: but he insists that he has caught it in time.
- 14:18Speaker 1: The eighty two year old music legend was diagnosed and
- 14:21Speaker 1: spoke out to fans on his own social media, saying
- 14:24Speaker 1: it was pure luck and a great doctor. We should
- 14:27Speaker 1: all be so lucky to have great doctors and it
- 14:29Speaker 1: was found ly. He added that his tumor needs to
- 14:33Speaker 1: be surgically removed. The good news the doctors don't believe
- 14:39Speaker 1: the cancer has spread. Barry added, no chemo, no radiation,
- 14:44Speaker 1: just chicken soup and lots of I love Lucy reruns.
- 14:50Speaker 1: As you know, my husband Bruce works closely with Barry,
- 14:53Speaker 1: delivered his biggest hit, copa Cabana for him. He has
- 14:57Speaker 1: been sick with worry here. I think he's no for
- 15:00Speaker 1: some time. I'm glad that now the news is ot
- 15:03Speaker 1: and we can talk about it. We are wishing Barry
- 15:06Speaker 1: Barry bread the best. Here. Another good piece of news
- 15:09Speaker 1: is to have a really good friend. We should all
- 15:12Speaker 1: have a friend like Bruce to help us through these
- 15:16Speaker 1: really awful moments. It doesn't matter how famous, how rich,
- 15:20Speaker 1: how powerful you are. A life without friends, a life
- 15:24Speaker 1: without somebody that you can rely on, it's just not
- 15:28Speaker 1: the right type of life. And so one of the
- 15:30Speaker 1: things about Barry's life that I envy the most is
- 15:34Speaker 1: not his success, not his power, not his money, but
- 15:39Speaker 1: his friendship with Bruce. That to have such a close,
- 15:43Speaker 1: dear friend in a time of need, somebody who would
- 15:46Speaker 1: drop everything and jump on a plane to be by
- 15:49Speaker 1: your side, to hold your hand, to take those late
- 15:52Speaker 1: night two am phone calls when you're freaking out, when
- 15:55Speaker 1: you're scared. That's the type of friend we should all have.
- 16:00Speaker 1: And so I know a lot of Barry fans listen
- 16:02Speaker 1: to this podcast. Hello, Hello, Hello, I can promise you this.
- 16:05Speaker 1: I know you're worried too. I know how much you
- 16:08Speaker 1: love Barry. I can promise you Bruce will take great
- 16:12Speaker 1: care of somebody that you love, love so much. Okay,
- 16:17Speaker 1: we're going to take a quick break and we will
- 16:18Speaker 1: be right back. Hello. No, no, no, and no and no.
- 16:23Speaker 1: Welcome back to the Naughty but Nice Show. We did
- 16:26Speaker 1: have a poll last show at Lead's story was Meghan
- 16:28Speaker 1: and Harry have lost three more staffers now we know
- 16:32Speaker 1: they're down to just two or three. Our question was
- 16:34Speaker 1: quite simple, would you work for them? They're difficult. Let's
- 16:37Speaker 1: be really clear about that. These two are not difficult.
- 16:40Speaker 1: They have trouble. And I get it. He's a prince.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Here's a young boy who is used to people entering
- 16:47Speaker 1: a room, any room, and bowing, curtsying to him. That
- 16:51Speaker 1: has to change the way you feel. If you're a
- 16:53Speaker 1: little kid two or three years old and growing men
- 16:56Speaker 1: are walking into a room and bowing down to you,
- 16:58Speaker 1: you have to be title, even if you're a nice guy.
- 17:01Speaker 1: And I hope Harry is. I think Harry is. Megan
- 17:04Speaker 1: too is like she wasn't born into this, but she's
- 17:07Speaker 1: clearly difficult, and I think she would admit that she
- 17:11Speaker 1: likes things her way. Good for her. If a man
- 17:13Speaker 1: did that, we would have no issues with it. But
- 17:15Speaker 1: they're not the easiest people to work for, So would
- 17:19Speaker 1: you work for them? Seventy percent said no, thank you,
- 17:22Speaker 1: we don't want any more toxic bosses. I think I'm
- 17:27Speaker 1: with you. I'd love to have them on my resume
- 17:30Speaker 1: to say I worked for the Duke and the Duchess.
- 17:32Speaker 1: I'd love to go to dinner parties and talk about
- 17:34Speaker 1: Oh yes, I work for the Sussexes, and I could
- 17:37Speaker 1: pretend to be all posh. But the price of that
- 17:41Speaker 1: is you have to work with them, and that is
- 17:42Speaker 1: something that looks a little bit too hard for me.
- 17:45Speaker 1: Give me j Lo, give me Jessica Simpson, give me
- 17:47Speaker 1: Alicia Keys, none of which are easy people. But they
- 17:50Speaker 1: ate the Duke, the Dudgess of Sussex. He no poll
- 17:54Speaker 1: for you to vote on today, So let's go to
- 17:56Speaker 1: our favorite part of the show. The nicest of the day. Oh,
- 18:01Speaker 1: and nicest of the day is Princess Beatrice, who's decided
- 18:05Speaker 1: to skip are all Christmas because she doesn't want to
- 18:08Speaker 1: really stir the pot. So they're in a really difficult
- 18:10Speaker 1: position here. They're disgraced dad, former Prince Andrew. They're disgraced mom.
- 18:16Speaker 1: Sarah Ferguson are clearly out with the royals. Yet the
- 18:19Speaker 1: King invited Beatrice and Eugenie to spend Christmas with the family,
- 18:24Speaker 1: a really lovely gesture at Sandrington with the King, but
- 18:28Speaker 1: Beatrice has opted instead for a low key ski trip abroad.
- 18:32Speaker 1: She just wants to get away from this, and I
- 18:34Speaker 1: think it's really good if she goes and spends Christmas
- 18:36Speaker 1: with the King. That's a real snub to her parents.
- 18:39Speaker 1: But her parents are pretty terrible people. I think we
- 18:42Speaker 1: can agree on that now. And so she wants to
- 18:45Speaker 1: have Christmas with her parents, does she? I don't know.
- 18:48Speaker 1: She wants to have Christmas with the King maybe, but
- 18:50Speaker 1: it looks to upset her mom and dad. So she's
- 18:52Speaker 1: seeven like a no win situation if she stays in
- 18:55Speaker 1: Britain and celebrates Christmas.
- 18:57Speaker 2: So it's very smart she goes skiing. Beatrice, strap on
- 19:01Speaker 2: those skis and have a great, great trip. I do
- 19:05Speaker 2: feel bad for these two here. I do not feel
- 19:07Speaker 2: bad for Andrew or Sarah Ferguson or even the King here.
- 19:10Speaker 2: You've got to be decisive when people do terrible things,
- 19:12Speaker 2: and they work in your company, even if it is
- 19:14Speaker 2: a family business.
- 19:15Speaker 1: You got to be strong. And so finally King Charles
- 19:19Speaker 1: is standing up. But there is some clatural damage here,
- 19:22Speaker 1: and that is Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice. Okay, now
- 19:26Speaker 1: I notughty is of the day, normally naughty naughty. CBS
- 19:29Speaker 1: new boss Barry Weiss has been torched, really been really
