- 0:00Speaker 1: Kyle, what are three things we need to know? Oh,
- 0:02Speaker 1: hold on.
- 0:03Speaker 2: My mic wasn't working for a second.
- 0:05Speaker 1: Okay, let's get into this.
- 0:07Speaker 2: So the Supreme Court actually just ruled there's going to
- 0:09Speaker 2: be some new checks on mail-in ballots right before the
- 0:13Speaker 2: head of the upcoming midterms. So the Postal Service can
- 0:16Speaker 2: now compare people getting mail-in ballots with federal citizenship records,
- 0:20Speaker 2: something that 23 states actually tried to block because they
- 0:23Speaker 2: say the federal government is stepping into elections that states
- 0:26Speaker 2: are supposed to run. Now, this isn't the Supreme Court
- 0:29Speaker 2: saying the whole policy is legal. They're just basically saying
- 0:32Speaker 2: it can happen for now while the bigger fight plays
- 0:35Speaker 2: out in court. As far as us here in Arizona,
- 0:38Speaker 2: you've been hearing a lot of talk about water from
- 0:40Speaker 2: the Colorado River, and we are about to get a
- 0:42Speaker 2: lot less of it here in Arizona. Starting in 2027, Arizona, California,
- 0:47Speaker 2: and Nevada, we have to give up a combined 1.25.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Million acre feet of water every year for two years.
- 0:54Speaker 2: We are taking the biggest cut out of all of
- 0:56Speaker 2: those three states because Lake Mead and Lake Powell are
- 0:59Speaker 2: still way too low. Now, somehow they're saying this is
- 1:02Speaker 2: actually a good scenario because the federal government was actually
- 1:06Speaker 2: considering cuts more than twice this big. And if the
- 1:10Speaker 2: lakes keep dropping, we could eventually lose even more. So
- 1:12Speaker 2: they're saying it could have been worse. We're not going
- 1:14Speaker 2: to lose as much as they originally said we were
- 1:16Speaker 2: going to lose. But over the next decade, this could
- 1:19Speaker 2: be something we lose more and more of. So definitely
- 1:22Speaker 2: something to keep our eye on with the whole water situation.
- 1:25Speaker 2: I can't imagine this happening because it seems like it's
- 1:28Speaker 2: literally straight out of a movie. But imagine you are
- 1:30Speaker 2: driving an Uber and suddenly two cops jump in your.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Car and are like, go, go, go. Look at that guy.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Get him. This is exactly what happened to a driver
- 1:38Speaker 2: in Houston when police were chasing a suspect on foot.
- 1:42Speaker 2: They flagged down this Uber and basically turned him into
- 1:45Speaker 2: their getaway car, but in reverse. Like he was the
- 1:48Speaker 2: cop car. He drove around looking for the guy until
- 1:51Speaker 2: finally they jumped back out and continued the chase on foot.
- 1:55Speaker 2: but I just am like the driver's reaction to the
- 1:57Speaker 2: whole thing was just like, what the heck is happening?
- 1:59Speaker 2: Which is, I think the same reaction we would all
- 2:02Speaker 2: have in that situation. He's okay.
- 2:05Speaker 1: It was okay.
- 2:05Speaker 2: And I think they caught the.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Guy, but I was going to play the clip this morning.
- 2:09Speaker 2: It's pretty incredible.
- 2:10Speaker 1: This is what, this is what, this is the two
- 2:12Speaker 1: cops in the, in the Uber.
- 2:19Speaker 3: Got in my vehicle and ordered me to go chase
- 2:22Speaker 3: down the suspect, just running off of adrenaline. I have
- 2:25Speaker 3: cops ordering me to do things. I'm going to comply.
- 2:27Speaker 3: He was extremely fast. I didn't think they would be
- 2:32Speaker 3: able to catch him off foot. I didn't know what
- 2:35Speaker 3: my rights were at the moment. I'm glad I was
- 2:37Speaker 3: able to help.
- 2:38Speaker 1: They were unable to capture the fleeing suspect. Boy, they're fast.
- 2:42Speaker 2: He was really fast. The driver said it, and that's
- 2:45Speaker 2: three things you need to know.
